oh hey !!! i was just thinking about my own headcanon on this topic so i gotta ask you! do robert and giselle ever take their wedding rings off for any reason? like even something as simple as doing the dishes. or any worries about damaging it, that kind of thing. ALSO while i’m here. tell me all your thoughts about the engagement ring !! how it was chosen, etc. but yeah also curious if they ever take them off for any innocent reasons (and if they do, how the other one feels about it)

okay for her engagement ring, I'm so bad at picking out things like that so I don't have any set ideas for what it looks like, exactly (which is why I'm hoping Disney will release a picture of the ring Amy wore ... please... for me 🥺) but I do have a few pictures with some ideas I like, I'll drop them below in a sec

I feel like at first Giselle would not want to take her ring off ever. like after they get engaged (which, yk, in my vision, they fell in the Central Park fountain 🤭) they had to shower, and she was like "I literally can't take it off. ever Robert !!!" and he tried explaining it might get messed up, and she's like "but :((((" and he tells her "if I ask you to marry me again and slide it on your finger, will you listen to me?" and she very enthusiastically says yes. and then, ya know, she makes sure to take it off before every shower, but she really, really hates doing so.

I think she'd also probably take both off while gardening or painting, just so they doesn't get messy, but again, she hates doing it.

Robert doesn't do much that would require him to take it off, but if he's doing dishes/showering/helping Giselle garden, he will.

also, I think Robert keeps up with sliding her rings back on after a shower, and Giselle loves watching him do it, and she loves sliding his back on, so that's something they just. always do.

I don't think they think much about if they notice the other isn't wearing theirs, just because it's rare they're not, but I do think Robert would tease Giselle about it every now and then. like if he sees her painting, and they're not on, he'd be like, "I knew this day would come 😔" and she's like "????????? stop that !!!! do not say things like that or I flick paint at you !!!" and maybe it starts a paint fight, who knows.

for Giselle's engagement ring, I struggle to find one I legitimately like, as mentioned above. I just need Disney to show it to me, please, I can't do this on my own !!!

but anyway, I have these photos.

I like the flower vibe for Giselle, I think it suits her really well, I just can't seem to find the. right one. but right now I'm leaning towards something like the fourth picture. tomorrow? who knows.

as for how Robert picked it out, I actually have a fic about this. will I ever post it? that's a secret I'll never tell. BUT anyway, he checks Morgan out from school early, and he's kind of nervous about telling her because she wasn't exactly thrilled when he brought up proposing to Nancy. but this is Giselle, and he knows how much Morgan loves her. still, he's nervous. but Morgan is like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY !!!! LET'S GOOOOOO. and she's the one who picks the ring out, actually !! they're looking around the store, and she's like "Dad !! Dad this one !!!!"

and then she suffers for weeks waiting for Robert to ask and it drives her nuts but he has to plan !!!! and organize !!!! and stop being nervous !!!!!! (it also doesn't take him that long, Morgan is just dramatic, and not great at keeping secrets (like her mother !!!) so she keeps bugging Robert because "I keep almost telling her !! hurry uuuuuuupppp!!!!!!!!")

and also, going to throw in something about their wedding rings. I have tried so hard to zoom in on their hands in Disenchanted, and like. Robert's ring. god idk I think it's just my TV being shitty, but it looks like it might have swirls on it or something??? so that got me thinking that it'd be kind of cute if their bands looked something like this (not exactly but. something)

just. ya know... prettier. and also silver, not gold.

and on the inside, there's an engraving that says "True Love" which Robert surprises Giselle with. and they don't tell anyone because they want it to be a little secret message for only them.

also !! Fun Fact (headcanon) Robert and Vanessa never had wedding rings, nor did he pick out an engagement ring because it was an impulsive decision. and with Nancy, he never made it far enough to actually pick the ring out, he was just bringing it up to Morgan. which means Giselle is the first woman he bought a ring for 😌

AND, another Fun Fact (headcanon) Vanessa never took his last name, which makes Giselle the first "Mrs. Philip" in his life <3

In all seriousness, I feel like I could do Tony some good. I'm extremely diplomatic (even though I'm passionate and impetuous in a seriously damaging way sometimes) and tend to be focused on 'what could go wrong,' but at the same time, I get what it's like to have an ego, to be confident and charismatic, to get a hyperfocus on something and neglect myself and my loved ones.

I feel like a lot of the things the MCU put Pepper and Tony through had more to do with using her surface-level traits for plot bullshit, so it's unfair to criticize the pairing in terms of character/character (vs. plot arcs), but in the context of a partner for Tony, I would be up for the challenge to make him happy and help curb his destructive tendencies without being hateful about the things that make him HIM. That's something the MCU never gave him, IMO.

Also he's so fucking pretty. And I bet he fucks pretty. ((my favorite cut scene gif:))

and i get the impression this particular scene is going to take place on earth-0 as he also says we breach 'the other side of the wall' and see more of bruce's story in this issue, and since corky baxter is with him i'd imagine that's where any time masters interaction is likely to happen. that being said, i'd genuinely do anything to get to see any of the flashpoint jsa, especially david knight!

i'm also hoping against hope that alan scott is this mysterious jsa member. between the fact that he seems to have become a de facto leader in dark crisis and geoff's own clear and obvious love for him in doomsday clock, i think a lot does point that way.
