She’s so committed to her mission, doing all the research and bringing backups and so on while these two just want to complain about the bad caricature.
some thoughts about jace during the dace and his relationship to kingship and rhaenyra⁓
rhaenys dies in rook's rest and corlys is angry because it should've been rhaenyra. Jace must take the reins if they want to win. Rhaenyra must wake so he takes care of his siblings, her weakest points, so he sends them far and wide so she will not fear for their life. except..... it'll be jace next. he didn't think of himself.
and in the next part: "Prince Jacaerys soon brought the Lord of the Tides back into the fold by naming him the Hand of the Queen" Jace said, let's get this bitch on the road!! but it's soo indicative of what were jace's priorities and there being some kind of friction or at least disappointment in his dynamic with rhaenyra that she's not doing what he thinks she must.
jace's list: 1) bring corlys back as hand 2) plan the rest of the war 3) bring rhaenyra back 4) win war? 5) ?????? 6) ?????? 7) mourn luke after (or never).
"syrax" crrrazy because Jace is really counting on rhaenyra to be A Queen. he's fighting tooth and nail for her to get back to the realm of the living. he won't ever give up on her! it's really so sad.
like imagine the great strain jace is put in because he must compensate for rhaenyra's absence. appeasing corlys, comfort his siblings for being separated so soon after Luke's death, the war, being a good son and heir. and also, to be the most senior available dragonrider on the island, their only line of defense!! he was fifteen!! coming up with the dragonseeds plan must have been such a relief.
I really don’t think people fully grasp the weight of abed sacrificing himself to save troy in epidemiology. I definitely didn’t at first. I mean, it’s a silly zombie special episode from a sitcom about a community college, surely it can’t be that serious. except, it kinda is. the characters were convinced that the rabies pathogen breakout was it for them. that this was literally the end of days. even abed, who likely had complete faith that troy would be able to turn the thermostat down, couldn’t have been positive that would save them. yet, he gave up his life and was cornered and severely attacked by dozens of zombies in order to save troy. he was literally prepared to lie down and die if it meant troy would have a chance to live, even if only for a little longer. god.
what we actually need to talk about is the shift in loki's behavior with sylvie. after the last ep where she left and they STAYED (for mobius) their behavior is completely different. it's like they genuinely let her go. they didn't get emotional or freeze when they saw sylvie, nor did they try to reason with her thru emotions. they literally repeated what mobius said to reassure them and it was just completely different on how they would've done it before this ep. they genuinely seem to have let sylvie go like they didn't try to actively seek her out or talk to her, they barely talked to her more than necessary and most importantly, they left without looking back. that was such an important moment bc even last ep they looked back to make sure sylvie was following them but now they didn't talk to her or even look at her really before completely walking away from the situation. because, like last season, they choose a side and this time they choose mobius. they said it's harder to say yet they still stayed with mobius and they're NOT changing their mind. like i don't want to be too hopeful but it really seems to me that loki let sylvie go or at least begun letting her go and i'm so fucking happy that's finally happening.
Logan got to dress as his favorite lesbian mystery-solver for the anniversary of his first appearance. Happy Appreciation Day to you, you wonderful nerd. Very happy I got to work these thighs. 💙🔎
in the amelia pond au, amelia’s aunt does still send her to therapy between doctor adventures, but since amelia is now secure in the fact that he’s Definitely Real since both rory and mels have also met him and because she lost a tooth last week from tripping on the stairs of the tardis, she doesn’t bite any therapists this time around. and besides, her therapist is a very funny lady. she reminds amelia of her doctor, with how her voice will flip and jump in volume and accent and tone on a whim, with how she’ll talk to amelia like they’re conspiring together. she keeps the pictures amelia draws of the doctor and their adventures for her, even hangs one or two on the walls. she listens very intently to every detail, which no adults in amelia’s life do save the doctor himself and river song, whenever she’s around. and best of all, whenever she tells amelia’s aunt that amelia is doing just fine, don’t you worry, she’ll grow out of this, she winks at amelia so that amelia will know her therapist is only playing along to wave away her aunt’s suspicion.
it is a little odd, though, that she insists on only being called Missy. but amelia is quite used to odd by now.
