Given the pressures placed on the clones, it is not surprising that the training schemes run on the clones’ terminals put very little emphasis on academic skills. Such training would encourage them to question their situation. Instead the programmes developed sound reading, writing and mathematical skills, while games were used to provide initial military training - weapons skills, vehicle operation and military strategy. The more I learn about judaism the more I wonder where tf christianity got all its bad shit. Why is divorce a sin in christianity when judaism has recognized the right to divorce for nearly a millennia and has codified religious laws for it. Why does christianity consider sex to be dirty (to the point where puritans considered it a sin to enjoy having sex with your own spouse) when in judaism it's considered holy and it's a literal mitzvah to have sex with your spouse on the sabbath. Why does christianity consider it a sign that you're faithless if you question your religion when in judaism that's considered an essential part to developing your faith. I'm probably stating the obvious here but I still can't get over the fact that there's no historical basis to any of this shit before christianity started, it's like christians just said "hey guys what if we took the torah and built a new religion around it but this time it was actively hostile to human life"

While obviously no one is physically harming him I’m not over the fact that this literal child was thrust into the spotlight to have his worthiness questioned by the press/kingdom at large.

"autistic/neurodivergent people don't fuck" is another one of those red flag beliefs that tells you the holder doesn't interact with real people in real life

There was a post going around a little while ago praising how guild wars 2 handles its fictional races by avoiding treating them as monolith enemy factions. While I didn't want to comment on it then because I understand what they were trying to say, it's rubbed me the wrong way because of the abundance of anti-indigenous undercurrents present in how many "minor" races are written regardless of the fact that they aren't always hostile.
The most egregious example that often comes to mind is the way grawl, and our interactions with them, are written. They're depicted as ape-like tribal communities that worship false gods and non-god entities. Many renown hearts and events involving them are focused specifically on either culling them or changing/exploiting their worship. There's really no way to claim that they aren't caricatures, and I was irritated to see them return in Skywatch Archipelago (as generic hostile groups, no less).
