I’ve mostly found the prison plot a little meandering, but I do appreciate it as a microcosm of the rebellion. When you oppress a populace by forcing them to bond and work together as interconnected cogs in the machine, once turned, the machine works back against you. The Empire builds the weapons that are used against them.

Say what you will about the witcher season 2 but all the "Yennefer took Jaskier in the divorce", "Geralt and Yennefer are a divorced couple rasing a kid and dating the same man", "geraskefer love triangle with an oblivious Jaskier in the middle" memes and fics were top tier

Rebels has been a comfort show for me longer than I’ve actually cared about star wars (my grade 6 self loved watching Disney XD on tv what can I say🤷🏻‍♀️)

And the main reason is because of how much the ghost crew loved each other..they were a family and I loved that about them

Anyways, I haven’t felt that same comfort until The Bad Batch and I just love it so much

I’m gonna feel super empty when this season ends :(

Usually I'm all for not treating two characters as a one inseparable unit. I'm all for exploring them separately from each other or considering some interesting rare pair options for them.

But not with Madara. I love Madara very much but I'm sorry his canon obsession with Hashirama can't be ignored by me. I can't separate it from him. Their bond with Hashirama is completely something else. It's a very integral part of who Madara is.

He wants his attention even if it will be in a fight he wants everything Hashirama can give him. He'll recognize him in any situation. He'll be happy to see him even if the last time they have seen each other Hashirama killed him. He talked about uniting Ying and Yang and clearly meant Hashirama as Yang to his Ying. He ended up merging a part of Hashirama into himself in a most literal sense. He can't shut up about Hashirama when we see him as himself and not an impersonator (obito) or through other's memories.

okay so someone reblogged my post (about how din and luke are so desperately touch starved and how they find comfort within one another and slowly banish the loneliness away with one another’s touch) and made a comment about how they don’t see luke as touch starved because he was never really isolated from his family and gives and receives touch very easily and like no hate cause i love that idea as well, in fact i absolutely agree- luke grew up in a very loving family that showed him that affection openly- a hug from beru before she’d go to bed, a fond ruffle of the hair from owen after he’d scraped his knee- touch and connection clearly mean a lot to him. we can see it in anh and esb how freely and easily he uses touch with those around him- the group hug with han and leia after the victory of the trench run, putting a friendly hand on chewies shoulder and letting himself get pulled into an embrace, his arm around leia as they stare out the viewport. luke is a tactile person. no doubt. but that’s also how we know he’s changed when we get to rotj and he’s noticeably less so. that’s how we can see how reserved he’s become, taking on a mantle of stoicism he’s not fully comfortable with yet, but wears anyways. war and loss has changed him. he’s still kind, still luke, just less free with his touch and joy- and with that i can’t help but go back to my thoughts on my first post about him being touch starved, because is it not even more understandable and heartbreaking that he is so? luke, a person who clearly craves and reaches out for touch, suddenly devoid of it? it makes his loneliness so much for profound, him suddenly distanced from his sister and friends after the war, all of them going their own ways, living their own lives. there is no aunt and uncle to go home to. no father or master, just his texts. the force. and how, for so long after that, that is just how he lives, a random touch on the arm or hug from leia every now and then, but the comfort and ease of touch he’d once had as a young man is gone. and how, once he meets din, he finally gets to have that part of himself back. the part that can indulge and reach for that comfort and need to have someone close. heal his touch starved soul in such a beautiful way and remind him that after all of it, all the war and fighting and isolation that he did not choose but found himself in, luke deserves the touch he so craves.

Sometimes, I really want an animated show about the OT characters. Their adventures, serious and silly, as they become friends and family long before Luke and Leia discover that they're siblings. Stories about Leia struggling with going from princess to general. Luke struggling with being a Jedi and a commander. The Rogue Squadron and their adventures. Han and Chewie barely keeping up with the Space Twin shenanigans.

But, then I remember how each of these characters were treated in the Sequel Trilogy, and I realise that it doesn't matter. No amount of stories about them will change the fact that they all die alone away from each other, that they gave up their childhood, their homes, themselves to the safety of the galaxy and that none of it ever mattered. And I can't enjoy canon stories about them because it won't change their ending, and I can't forget that.

Obsessed with the implications of the Winx Episode where Diaspro is kidnapped by the power rangers.

1. God I feel for Diaspro. Her boyfriend cheated on her and she can't understand why he doesn't like her. She's trained her whole life for the implication that will get her a prince and true love. And then... He cheats on her. With a commoner??? Who attacked her for no (okay it was Sky's fault) reason. That probably undermined her world view. This either puts into perspective her turn to Valor and the Trix, or just makes me pissed at the writers for not redeeming her/giving her a different lover.

2. The High Tech Ninjas are now on Earth... Do they work for or against Elon Musk (or whatever Italian equivalent there is)? That's the important question.

3. King Erendor's comment about how it may be a good thing that Sky saves Diaspro and possibly agree to get engaged to her. There's no way he doesn't know about Bloom being the Princess of Domino. Either Sky has told his parents, or his bestie Oritel told them about their red headed daughter. (I also like to imagine that Blooms behavior reminds him of either Oritel or Marion, adds more trauma). Anyways, is his want for Sky to marry Diaspro instead from typical royal classism??? Or his own trauma from ratting out his bestie???

I HC that one of the bigger relationship problems they have is the question of whether to leave Chicago. Pat doesn't want to go, and he definitely doesn't want to move to Greece, but he gets that Achilles would prefer to be next to a body of saltwater for easy access to his mother (can Thetis easily travel the Atlantic? Will they need to move to the Mediterranean?). Some sort of snowbirding compromise might be in order. Achilles becomes great at windsurfing.

Marriage is an interesting question. It would probably be useful for legal purposes, but I'm not sure they would have a wedding. I still think Achilles would find the entire notion confusing and kind of silly, and rather than get him on board, likely Pat just tells him he needs to sign some documents for modern paperwork reasons, and Achilles is like whatever, you modern people and your 'paperwork,' and then they are married and Pat doesn't bother explaining it too hard because it changes nothing about their relationship other than he can file taxes for Achilles now and cover him under his health insurance. This route is risky, though, because Ajax might literally cry upon learning he didn't get to be best man. And that he didn't get to throw both of them separate bachelor parties. He might never forgive Pat.

I also think if you tried to get Achilles in a tux he would riot. You think you are getting a necktie on this man? A suit jacket? Dress shoes? A beach wedding might work, I suppose, barefoot and fairly informal, but he would still find the whole process quaint and possibly boring.
