Update on my patch shorts, they're no longer shorts
I found a pair of jeans I didn't fit anymore, cut off the legs and sew them onto the shorts. You can very clearly see the line where I frankensteined them but I'm hoping if I put enough patches all around it it'll be less visible.
Idea for the patches on my ass pockets stolen from @whyenn-reader , hope ya don't mind
I'm really liking how they're turning out

Febuwhump Alt Prompt 10: Last Man Standing (AKA Day 25)
Tags/Warnings: This is a mature rated fic! Body horror (mask transformation), blood and injury, canon-typical violence
The battle had gone south quickly, the wounded outweighed the healthy. To help them retreat safely, Time uses a last ditch effort.
Read it on AO3!
Deity’s Checkmate
Time could feel a thrumming under his skin as he cleaved through his enemies like butter, an endless buzzing that grew with each monster slain. His slashes were precise, following the steps of a dangerous dance with a blade.
He knew that more monsters were on the way, leaving only a small window of time for the less injured to help themselves and the wounded escape. Excitement not of his own bubbled under his skin, cheerful in such a way that made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up.
The last monster of the current wave was run-through with his blade, with grim determination, Time took the opportunity the window provided. “Warriors, Sky, Twilight. Get them to safety and treat them properly.” Removing a hand from the Biggoron sword, he reached into his bag, fingers closing around a familiar smoothness.
“Are you insane?! You’re going to get yourself killed,“ Swiftly, Time held up the item, “We can’t just-“ Warriors cut Twilight off with a gasp of horror, locking eyes with the wooden copy of Time’s face, cheeks symmetrically decorated with two red swipes. “Sprite… You said you wouldn’t…”
A blasting horn announced that the next wave would be arriving shortly, “Make yourselves sparse.” An order. Time laid a hand on the captain’s shoulder, “I’ll see you on the other side.” With that Time stepped away, watching as, albeit reluctantly, the three heroes made haste in collecting the wounded and removing themselves far from the battlefield.
Time turned away, hand clenching tightly around the handle of his sword as he watched the monsters finally crest the hill. Like clockwork, he slid the mask on his face, feeling the magic meld his face and the mask together. Protect them. He screamed as his bones broke and reset, his body growing to one much larger. The scream turned into a fierce roar, blinding white light bathing the field. As it dissipated, a hulking figure stood in place of Time, eyes a glowing white, with hair to match. In its hands was a truly massive sword; a blue and green double helix, ready to slice and dice.
The Fierce Deity waltzed over to the army, clearing out a giant chunk of it with one swipe. Magic buzzed and swam around the deity, growing thicker and thicker with each enemy felled. The monsters attempted to injure it, only succeeding in becoming a puff of purple smoke. Injuries could be dealt to the mask wearer’s body, but the Fierce Deity could feel none of it- a being of ferocity and destruction, called upon to protect and prevent.
Quickly, the large army had been decimated, like it was mere child's play- which it was to a divine being. The grass was burnt and razed, trees cut and burnt from where sword beans had been fired. In the middle of it, the Fierce Deity stood, staring at the direction the other heroes had gone. It’s purpose was over, and would be until next time.
Time snagged back control, immediately bringing his hands up to his jaw and yanking the mask off. The roar echoed, victory and farewell, replaced by the pained screaming as Time’s body snapped itself back to normal. He collapsed to his knees, shakily shoving the mask back into his bag. Blood welled up in his mouth, dribbling out of and over his lips. Panicked footsteps skidded to a stop in front of him as he slumped forward, feeling the overwhelming pull of darkness take him in.
