Reflecting on Friendships

The last time pluto was in aquarius was March 23 - June 11 2023 and during that time was when a friend of 8/9 years ghosted me in early March and I tried to mend things during that 3 month period and the last time we had a conversation was June 10 2023 lol (we did tell each other happy birthday and thank you in Sept and Nov after that but no actual conversation)

Then this year pluto goes into aqua again on Jan 20 2024 and I tell a couple friends about how my TikTok FYP gets sooo many of her reposts about fake friends and hating people who aren’t confrontational and how nobody knows how to communicate lol so I liked one of them and they stopped! Then like 2 weeks later there’s a repost about getting confronted about reposts and how you can’t take anything online seriously 😂 but there’s been 0 reposts since so I think it worked 🤷🏾‍♀️

Then on Jan 29 I had a dream that I was in a groupchat with her and other people who I used to be friends with in college but my friendship with them didn’t make it past that so I guess they ended like 5 years ago? We would sometimes do group things but it quickly died down. They’re all still friends tho I think. Anyway so in this dream one girl sent a longgggggg ass message about all the things she hated about me 💀 (my dreams are always dramatic lmfao) and that girl who ghosted me was hearting the messages within seconds like she was right there when it was written!! Lmao message received!! I don’t think they actually hate me to this extent irl but I’m a Pisces rising so my dreams don’t lie 🤷🏾‍♀️

And this entire week I’ve been thinking about what I actually want out of friendships and that friendship wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t completely what I wanted in a friendship and I think I was holding on for longer than necessary bc nothing had happened between us so why end a friendship you know? And towards the end right before I was like “she ghosted me” I remember thinking why do I feel like I’m begging ? Lmao bc I would type a message and erase it like I felt she wouldn’t care about what I had to say. Which is weird bc I wasn’t saying anything out of the ordinary 😭 and I should’ve listened to that feeling more lol

I definitely want friendships with more care involved. I have a few friends I can have deep conversations with and who didn’t mind listening to me vent to them about what my narc mom was doing to me that week and I let them vent too. But like…while I was going through that no one asked me if I needed anything or if I needed help with anything it was just like yeah that sucks 😕 and that’s it. I was sick recently and one of my friends I told I was sick never responded to my message and then I go on IG two days later to see she’s on vacation with her bf and then she calls me when she gets back a week later and not once asked me if I was feeling better but immediately started talking about a situation with her bf 🙃 like okayyyyyy

So I think that’s def going to be a major Pluto in aqua theme for me. I just need to actually sit down and figure out what I want my friendships to look like.

I feel like I already do for them what I’m looking for so I know I’m not asking for a lot! And I did think about my people pleaser tendencies and it wasn’t even about that like someone sharing an achievement and me going “we should go here to celebrate!” But me sharing an achievement and just getting the congrats text with confetti and if I want to celebrate I gotta say I want to go celebrate let’s go here like 😀 and even for my bday last year I was fresh off no contact with my mom obviously distressed and no one offered any options for my bday when it was less than a week before and I was saying I literally have no idea what to do I’m overwhelmed they just kept asking did you plan it yet? So I ended up just picking a random place for brunch lol but it felt like too much to be like “can someone plan my bday for me?” 💀 my take on it is very if they wanted to they would

I think it relates to my family too bc from the way their lives have turned out I have this fear of not having any friends bc they don’t have any friends in their 50s 60s and continuously tell me how lonely it is and to make sure that never happens to me and to make sure I keep all my friends lol no pressure! But tbh the reason they don’t have any friends is bc I don’t think they were friends with those people to begin with they were just in proximity and they did not actually care about each other.

I wonder what’s going to show up between Sept 1 - Nov 19 2024 when Pluto goes back into cap and reenters aqua for the next 20 years bc my bday happens in that gap and there’s always something surrounding my bday!!

I haven't done this yet but... I think if I ever start venturing into writing for another fandom, I might want to explore Ranma/Ryoga in Ranma 1/2 but I'm not there yet so... in JatP:

This is requiring intentional thought so I’m gonna try to make it Reggie, just for you! 😀 But gosh, it’s hard to make anybody Reggie’s enemy. Let’s see what we can do. It also got long so I'm gonna put in a cut.

It starts as a simple misunderstanding when they’re small children (turns out we’re gonna make this PeterPatterLina. There will also be no [intentional] murder attempts so consider this enemies lite™). 

Luke stole the swing Reggie wanted at recess when they were in kindergarten and he decided that they were enemies for life. Over time, he forgets the reason that he hates Luke (and Luke never figures it out). Luke also started to dish the hate back, they don’t turn full bully on each other but it’s close. A “harder than strictly necessary” hip check into the pool or tackle in PE, mostly harmless pranks like stinky food hidden in lockers and letting the air out of their bike tires. Their friends refuse to take part in their weird little feud while also exchanging amused looks because… dudes sometimes look VERY flirty.

New teachers at the school unwittingly pair them together for group work (seasoned teachers gave up trying to force their reconciliation years ago) and it never goes well, they’re both more invested in the others’ demise than their own grades. 

There are unspoken rules: they never mess with each others’ instruments or families.

Anyway, Julie and Reggie are best friends/on the cusp of will they/won’t they dating, and she’s neutral on Luke, completely understanding that this long-standing feud is probably based on something ridiculous. She gets paired with Luke for some sort of songwriting assignment and is granted access to a completely different side of them than she’s ever gotten to know before. They build a friendship of their own, kind of on the DL while Julie is also trying to explain to Reggie that he doesn’t actually need to hate this guy. 

Cue weird miscommunication drama when Reggie finds out. He and Julie are in a fight and he won’t listen to reason, she ends up dating Luke, Reggie falls further into a spiral until maybe something happens that loosens him up some and he winds up spilling his guts to someone, maybe Flynn or Alex. How he feels betrayed and abandoned by the girl he loves. Maybe it’s Alex. And Alex can help him see that Luke doesn’t even know why Reggie hates him and Reggie realizes that he no longer has any idea either.

It takes him some time but he reaches out to Julie again to reconcile and they both apologize and hug and cry. He and Luke broker a truce of sorts and Reggie is still heartbroken but he shoves it down to support his best friend. After extended time pining and learning that he and Luke actually missed out on the possibility of THEM being best friends, he starts to develop feelings for Luke too and cue another crisis.

The two sets of friends wind up becoming unbelievably close, doing all of the things we’d expect from them, and Luke and Julie both realize how much they love Reggie too and i don’t really want to rely on drunkenness but it fits so maybe they wind up at a party and wind up under the influence of something and Luke kisses Reggie and *insert bi panic here* and then hop, skip, and jump to PaterPatterLina. 😅

*rolls up sleeves* buckle in peeps, this is gonna be long. as promised, pics of all the yarn at and related things to it! Also Ray, fellow void, if you want anything in particular, just holler at me. 👍First the wips!

From left to right: pillow cover in checkerboard stitch using bulky super wash merino wool (cause I wanted to try something new) blanket for stepdad in bamboo stitch with acrylic yarn blanket for mom in broken rib stitch ( I wanna have this done by mother's day but I dunno yet), also in acrylic,and place mat for a friend in basic garter stitch, again in acrylic.

Next is completed stuff!

From left to right: scarf in stockinette stitch for my sis, who likes it despite me being a picky bitch about how it got out of control and definitely not what I intended, argh. Also it's hard to see, but there's beads in there as well. 2nd pic is headband (need to seam the ends together actually), and 2 dishcloths (the holes are intentional on the blue one, since I knitted that diagonally). Then dishtowel in woven stitch, potholders in.. I think I did moss stitch on those. And a facecloth in sand stitch. Then dishtowel in 2x2 rib stitch. I don't remember what I did for the dishcloths, but I DO remember kicking myself cause if I'd thought of it earlier I could've put beads in the pink part to make them watermelon-themed! All of the kitchen-type items were made from cotton/cotton blends. I also have another stack of completed kitchen-type stuff for relatives and friends, but I don't have pics of them at the moment.

Last but not least, the yarn hoard! The stack of 5 cakes was the recent order that was on sale and will eventually become a blanket for my sis. The small tubs are super wash merino wool skeins, they will become various things once I figure out exactly what I wanna make. 🤷‍♀️ so many ideas and patterns, and I'm so indecisive, augh. The tub beneath it is acrylic/acrylic blends, then there's the cotton/cotton blends with a needle case full of spare needles. Last tub is regular wool that was a gift from my mom, a sick kit, and yarn that's was a gift from a nurse I work with (she crochets!) who received it from someone and didn't know what to do with it, asked if I wanted it, and said if i couldn't/didn't want to use it, I could always pass it along as well. And then there's the little roller shelf cart that I keep by my chair so I can organize things while I work on them, and a hat kit! Which I will attempt at some point once I finally get the hang of knitting in the round! Which is supposed to be easy but my fingers don't like to cooperate sometimes! 😒 there are some people who may say that all that yarn isn't necessary, that I may have a problem. To which I say lies and slander and I DON'T have a problem I can stop anytime I want, really. <.<; I was always an arts and crafts kid anyway, this is just...a bigger version of that and I get to make useful things! 😀

in the book about the uncharted movie there's literally a detailed sex scene 😂 and idk if they wrote it based on the og script but it's possible ?

It was the director's decision to cut any romance from the movie because apparently he didn't feel like it was necessary to the plot. However, I think the only 'romantic' scene they filmed was the balcony one. I didn't like Sophia's acting in this movie, and I think the lack of chemistry was partially her fault (though we can also blame the writing). Her character in the games flirts with Nathan a lot, so the decision to have Chloe and completely erase that part was an odd decision. It was definitely not his fault, I think he is naturally charming, so it was a shame not to explore that side of the character 😀.

Hey y'all, so I made this post to explain why I haven't been replying (at all) for 11 hours or something.

So the water went out at like 6pm yesterday and then at about 7pm the electricity went out, meaning there was no WiFi. I did have data but it just didn't work. It worked only about 3 times and that was for only a few seconds.

The electricity came at 3am but I was at asleep at that time. When I woke up I discovered that there was no WiFi. And I've been waiting for HOURS for it to come.

What caused all this?

There has been a big thunderstorm in my town, which caused floods, a river (or rivers idk) and roads broke , two people drowned and so many other things.

This will continue for about other 24 hours, so don't expect me to reply at all. (This is all /srs, I'm not lying for attention.)

I have to add that I'm completely fine and that's the same for the rest of my family.

According to classmates who live in different areas and electricity and water came sooner, the water isn't clean and basically can't be used for anything. So we take rain water! (surviving skills by my dad 😀)

And the secondary stories are 38 chapters combined?!” Don’t worry, the chapters are pretty short for most of them and despite its length, it is easy to read. Not a welcomed fic for Lila’s supporters... She’s demoniac. Mostly Adrien centric fic.  On a more serious note, this fic also addresses the subject of sexual harassment/assault. If you’re touched in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, even if you don’t know what it is or how to deal with it, please speak up. Say No, talk to someone you trust, speak with a responsible adult, call for help. Don’t keep it for yourself and don’t feel ashamed. They’ll make you feel responsible, like you’ve asked for it. Pls take what I say with a grain of salt bc I’ve only watched what’s up to date in the TV show, I haven’t read much of the main book series/the recent stuff, though I really want to. PS all my ranting can be quelled if I just read some fan fiction LMAO

I think I’m finally understanding why I don’t like the female characters in outlander as much. It’s obvious and Idek how I didn’t realize it but you can really tell just how much stuff the male characters get to do/adventures they get to go on vs what the female characters get to do. It totally makes sense because of the time period but I never thought to stop and think about how it effects the plot. Jamie/John/any other male character is like the driving part of the plot, the women just go where they go. Jamie gets to lead a wine business, work the printing press, be a laird, go to prison, have a hunt on his head, be in charge of of his Ridge, participate in politics, live as a fucking hobbit you name it. And the female character just get to be housemaids and deal with whatever bullshit Jamie brings them into🥲 like where’s the Claire and Jenny teaming up together saving Jamie from his own stupid mistakes like in the first season! That episode was so fun! I feel like they do less of that now. And DONT GET ME WRONG I completely understand logically why the women don’t get to have as much fun, I’m just simply realizing I think that is why the female characters don’t have a place in my heart in the same way the male characters do. It’s because of their lack of freedom to adventure. The male characters just catch my attention more because they really embody the limitless adventure of Outlander. Like of course Claire goes on the craziest adventure out of all of them, but she’s a package deal from the moment she marries Jamie. It’s only like in season 3 for a couple episodes that’s she separated from him (mainly talking about when they’re headed to Jamaica). And once she reaches Fraser’s ridge she has drama between characters but nothing happens that really that thrilling. And just like “hmm I can’t think of anything else interesting for her to deal with so why not have her get assaulted😀👍” like HUH. That’s just so… like omg, pick something else! I know it’s important for her to understand how Jamie felt but Idek it’s not necessary imo. And don’t get me started on Brianna, pls, anyone who really likes Brianna pls comment why you like her because I’m genuinely curious. Because to me I just see her as someone who married a pretty questionable man and got assaulted by a even shittier man. And like that’s not fun bro! She deserves better! Like I love her personality but when it comes to her significance in the story like I struggle to think of anything major. Like what else does she have going for her other than that she’s Jamie and Claire’s daughter. Where’s her adventure? Like yes she girlbossed and killed her attacker good for her but like come onnn I need moree. Like obvs there’s a ridiculous amount of directions Outlander could take, but giving more life to Briannas character would def make me very happy. I’m happy they got back together, on the other hand I hate cheaters. I’m a massive fan of the teenage love triangle from folklore and I couldn’t help but thing of August. Did Steve cheat on here one time or was in numerous times? It seemed like she lost the promise ring and then boom, she finds out he cheated. Logically, I feel like he wasn’t cheating when he gave it to her and stuff, only having slept with someone after she lost it. I could be so completely wrong, but I guess what I’m asking is, was it a one time deal? Was he planning on cheating on her further? Sorry for the long post!!

In my head, his relationship with the reader at this point is a bit rocky (i see Steve feeling on edge bc he doesn’t know what’s gonna happen to them once their no longer high schoolers) and his judgement gets clouded (by his insecurities and four too many beers).

While reflecting on his guilt, he realises he fucked up and he knows he’s an idiot for messing up what he had with the reader and feels determined to make things right. However, he digs himself deeper when he decides not to tell the reader out of fear and the belief that bc the other girl meant nothing to him and bc he’s never going to do it again, there’sno need for her know (which is obv a bad move, but is incredibly on brand for a teenaged boy imo).

He gives her the promise ring the following month as a way of showing her that he’s committed now and in it for the long run. He also does it as a way of affirming to himself that he’s not going to fuck up again.

I chose to add the detail of the reader losing the ring around the time she finds the bra and then finding it again before she’s Vecna’ed bc I wanted the ring to sort of signify Steve being ready to commit to the promise to her and the reader being in an emotionally secure and mature enough position to trust him to do it.

This couldn’t have been in May 1985 after graduation when he first gave it to her. Working through the cheating and then the aftermath of Starcourt was necessary for both of them.

I completely understand not forgiving or taking back cheaters, however when it comes to young love I feel slightly empathetic when it comes to making these kinds of stupid decisions.

In terms of the folklore love triangle, I interpret things a little differently. I’ve always pictured Betty and James as being in a somewhat long term relationship in high school where they know each other extremely well but he feels a sense of inadequacy, while she has been made to feel like an old cardigan by most of the people in life except for him.

I used to be James’ #1 hater, but I think as I’ve grown and as I’ve thought more about it, I look at it all a little more forgivingly. Obv cheating is and should never be excusable, but I think when you put yourself in the position of a 17-year old falling in love and navigating relationships for the first time, it’s easier to rationalise the dumb choices inevitably made.

In Steve’s case, I characterise him as being someone who has a plethora of insecurities and fears that he tries to hide. In the first part of ‘Cardigan’, I briefly talk about how his whole issue with feeling secure in their relationship is partly because all his relationships were fleeting. He struggles with trusting Y/n when she says he loves him and with believeing that their relationship is going to last even when high school is over and all he has is a job at Scoops Ahoy.

He only begins to do this when its too late.

Also, I know I never really wrote it out but when the reader finally finds out Steve cheated, she barely speaks to him for the first half of the summer (and the few times she does she’s ripping him a new one). They don’t really start talking again until their forced into helping Dustin investigate further into the mall. Then when they’re both talking in the bathroom while recovering from the truth serum and the scientists, they start to unpack what happened and how much it hurt her. While she doesn’t necessarily forgive him yet, she’s beginning to get there.

Then when Hopper ‘dies’, the reader is back to avoiding Steve. It’s not until he shows up at her doorstep when El and the Byers have left town that she actually begins to forgive him and Steve begins to go easy on himself. This continues to build over time as she processes her grief and deals with the aftermath of it all while Steve remains steadfast at her side.

Tbh, when I planned the first part of this series I knew I wanted to double down on how both Steve and the Reader struggled with love, relationships and heartbreak because of their rocky relationships with their parents.

The line “I knew you, leaving like a father” always made me feel some type of way bc heartbreak can feel all the more piercing when you’re young and when you’ve already been burned by someone you loved before.

JACE : Both. The combination of this is inevitable when it comes to Jace. Although he places big efforts in the attempt to act purely with reason, his morals, and sometimes even emotions, often sneak their way in. But that highly depends on the situation and people being involved in it.

CLARE : Mostly head. Clare avoids mixing her feelings in this process as much as possible, trying to ignore that part of her completely. However, what she is 'trying' and what comes out, are completely two different things. What she will do often does not line up with what she intended, mostly when it comes to people that are close to her. When it comes to them, her mode switches to 'only heart', and reason flies out of the window. (Of course, the hell will freeze over before she admits that, and will do everything to explain it in a way that make her doing to seem logical)

JACE: Jace has a hobby that he keeps hidden from everyone. Although it is nothing shocking, the reasons behind why is he doing it would be embarrassing for him to explain. Jace occasionally does crosswords puzzles. The motive behind it is that he is trying to 'exercise' his mind, learn in a way that makes the process 'bearable' and expand his vocabulary.

Even if Jace is far from stupid, he is aware that his eloquence suffers since the interactions he has are not exactly very 'sophisticated', so he does crossword puzzles to maybe learn something new. Same goes for "random fact" part. This he has done with his own money and in secret, telling no one about it.
