I’m so here for all this book hate, and I’m just laying in bed kicking my feet besides you listening to all these people rant. And I so agree with the ‘this book is gay’ thing. Like ESPECIALLY now during pride month everyone is like read these 5 queer books and the only thing it says is oh this mc is bi, oh it has a trans character, oh the main ship is sapphic. I’m like okay, cool, what more? Is that it?

I had this with ‘the priory of the orange tree’ which I loved, but the only thing I was told is ‘there’s a sapphic ship’ and ‘it’s high fantasy’ which yeah it is to both. But that’s not even what the book is about and you could’ve just told me what it was about and told these other things. just imagine if they would do that with other big fantasy books ‘yeah it’s fantasy and straight, enjoy’

Same thing with they both die at the end. Fun book, not revolutionary, I agree what the person said, the mcs are the most boring in the book. But it’s gay so it’s amazing… sure

lol yeah i love a good hater sesh <3 and YEAH like. i understand people compiling lists of books w certain types of representation etc bc obviously there are lots of people who want to seek out books that reflect certain experiences etc, but. if the rec begins and ends with just 'it's [x type of queer] and [x genre]!" then i'm like....ok. anything else or....

and i do think it happens particularly often with queer books but also i don't think it's entirely devoid from straight books either lol it's just that instead of going "it's straight and fantasy!" they'll go "dark love interest and fantasy" or some equally surface level label lol. same with the lists that are like "dark academia books" etc i think...i mean i don't necessarily know that this is a new phenomenon but maybe it's just become more visible/common 2 me bc of the shifting landscape of social media that prioritizes shortform algorithmic content but it feels like this widespread practice of packaging books as aesthetic products more than like. literature. if that makes sense...idk still parsing through my thoughts on this but. yeah just feels like a very surface level way to engage w books--and the thing is it seems like it's a growing way that writers/publishers are marketing their books as well. like i don't really fault the authors for this bc ik in this day and age they have to do a ton of legwork to market their own shit to get it like picked up by publishers or whatever and so they kinda have to play the game (<- try desperately to go viral on tiktok) but every time i see a video that's like a writer going "would you read THIS??" and then it's like. a list of their protagonist's identities and then just a general/vague nod to some subgenre that sounds like a pinterest board title i throw up in my mouth a little ngl. and it's not like i think literature is some sort of Higher Art Form that must always be Venerated it's more that consumerism feels so fucking inescapable and every art form has to be boiled down into something that will go viral on tiktok these days and it makes me want 2 scream!!

Back at it again with a list of things that I’ve manifested. Recently, I’ve been really big on self-concept and I’ve had amazing results from it. For example, I wanted to challenge myself and manifest something in less than 24 hours. I found a challenge here on tumbler that consisted of three things that you can manifest. I had decided on one thing after giving it much thought since I’m an over thinker 🥲 but ended up seeing the two other things instantly so I decided hey, I’m gonna see all of three things again in less than 24 hours since I manifest instantly anyways. The things were: seeing 333, a black cat, and a pink butterfly.

I was just casually watching YouTube shorts and realize it 🤭

Bruh. I just went to retrieve my phone from my room without even thinking of the time and…

I didn’t make a note for the photo on the right but I was watching Instagram reels when I realized that the post had 333 comments

(another entry: this is when i decided to manifest seeing 333 but also ended up manifesting the other two things) I’m at work rn and I saw 333. I can’t remember if it was the ticket number or how late it was going (the food order since I work at a fast food joint) but I had saw it again. I also want to mention that I quit literally instantly manifested seeing the pink butterfly and black cat without even trying. Like it manifested by me thinking of them cause the second I went on Pinterest, there was this ad with fucking pink butterflies and there was Yoongi as a cat fan-art with him having a black tail, hence he was a black cat. I love seeing my manifestations come into fruition and so quickly too. I wish I had took a screenshot 😭 It’s funny cause I had did the butterfly unintentionally, I just found myself thinking about/visualizing it, so it manifested either way. Cause creation is in the 4d, hence my imagination so I manifested it effortlessly 😌

After I successfully manifested all three things in less than 24 hours, two of which were unintentional, I decided to manifest seeing all three of them again in less than 24 hours

I was humming a song and was leaving Pinterest to go back to YouTube and the first thing that was playing was a short that has the song. And I know I manifested that because the last short I had watched was weird as hell and I saw a comment from the short that said, enough internet for the day so I had agreed and logged off of it and then went to Pinterest 💀 And when I came back, the short immediately played with the song I was just humming 😶

Last but not least, my lights had went out due to a storm so my alarm clock was resetted. Now that I’m done with school, I don’t need it as an alarm so I haven’t had the need to fix it since I just use my phone. So the time was completely off so I was caught off guard when I saw 333. And for proof that the clock wasn’t fixed, I had to take a picture multiple times in order to get a good shot since it blinks when it’s not set to a time.

I’ve manifested even more things but I don’t want this to get too lengthy so I’m gonna make a part 2. Especially since it’s 1:36 a.m and I’m pretty tired 🥴 So, I’ll talk to y’all lovelies later

Hmm if your still waiting how did you discover LU? What was your initial impressions of the boys and how have your opinions changed? What’s your favorite LU page? And if you have any chronic illness Legend tidbits you want to drop I am all ears XD

Okay, I didnt see this before the last post so I'll go ahead and answer it before I log off ♡

So first, I discovered LU on pinterest... almost 2 years ago now. I had been looking through all kinds of LoZ content, and especially enjoyed seeing arcs of the links meeting (Like TP Link chilling in BotW or the connection between the heroes shade and Twilight Princess!) Pinterest's algorithm started giving me more and more LU pages and then I got curious and began my quest finding the beginning of the story lol

I really loved the comic, but Twi stood out to me the most at first! I loved his game, his connection with Wild and Time, his animal-loving big brother nature, and his quiet attitude and big heart 🥺💕 I suppose the biggest change since then has been how much Legend has grown on me. I really didnt care for him at first, but the more I learned about him and his games the more I started to love him. @sky-squido 's fic What Hyrule Hadn't Seen really sealed the deal though in making him my favorite (and he has been for over a year now lol) The way she so perfectly captured his snark, his vulnerabilities, his giving and caring nature under everything, and his amazing adaptability and capability just made me completely fall in love with his character. I could ramble about him and that fic for hours if you let me.

Favorite LU page? The one where the master sword transforms Legend back from bunny form and hes just standing there smiling down at it with fondness and awe has my whole heart (skys quips and Legends reactions on that page always get me too XD)

And hmm... for the chronic illness headcanon I do have something in the works, basically my friend Arin had a theory how both his sickness as a kid and pink hair could be connected. It's pretty brilliant and that's all I'll say for now but yeah, hopefully you guys will find it interesting too. Arin's a freaking genius
