Any update on Dobson? I haven't heard or seen him in awhile, unless he left the internet for good

Publicly quit the internet around mid-May of 2020. Most likely still online under a random alt and just not doing art anymore.

I want to ask you two things

1) Does Dobson knows about the existence of this blog?

2) Did You know that You inspired another blog similar to yours called the inmmaturity of Thomas Astruc? (That's the creator of Miraculous) that blog basically wants to do the same thing as yours, call out all the bullshit that Thomas says on his social media

1. He did. Found out about me fairly soon after he started tumblr again, but only would refer to me as “the harassment blog” or in the vaguest of terms in means of trying to get sympathy. He only fully acknowledged the blog shortly before he fully quit and the whole thing with his “Cabin’s Rest” comic, aka the Muslim Vampire comic.

2. I do, actually. They brought it up to me shortly before they started the blog and we talk occasionally. Blog does good work, if anyone watches/watched Miraculous Ladybug, you should check it out.

Two things:

1.) What was the moment that he quit? I've heard around May 2020. Do you have theories what led up to him quitting the internet successfully?

2.) Does he count as a nepo baby? Considering we know that his parents are very well off and have been supporting his lifestyle for quite a long time.

PS. Been fascinated with this guy for quite a long time since I used to like his stuff back in middle school. I'm now a professional designer and it baffles me to see them with such a nasty attitude.

For 1, I’ve got a post breaking down The Last Days of Dobson below, but the short answer is yeah, it was May 2020.

As for 2, while his parents are well off and did take care of him when needed, they also seemed to have actually have to try and work to support himself to rather than just give him whatever he wanted, so I suppose it’s a bit of a tossup.

I think Dobson may have always been kinda a condescending prick, he was just better at hiding it online originally. And it obviously only got worse the more he failed.

So what happened to dobson anyway?

Quit the internet “publicly” for reasons that he claimed was the trolls finally breaking him(and also trying place the full blame of it on me, hilariously enough) but may have actually been his family forcing him to stop doing stupid shit online.

It’s been two years since Dobson disappeared from internet, could we have a summary of the reasons for his "job abandonment"? (And maybe find out if he really left?)

When Dobson blamed you for basically all of his online "abuse" he claimed to suffer his entire online presence, do you personally believe he actually believed that, or was he just trying to find someone other than himself to blame for his failures? Because that's one of the most delusional and nonsensical things he's ever said. It makes me wonder if he was doing it on purpose or if he was honestly suffering from a breakdown of his own creation.

I think he was very angry about his comic leaking off Patreon as well as his art “career” in general, and was just using me as a convenient scapegoat for all his problems. Problem is, he didn’t have enough of a fanbase to counteract the criticism he was getting, and it all blew up in his face, so to speak.

Y'know, he might've died from Covid or the Jab.

Unlikely. There’s have been a obituary or funeral announcement somewhere that someone would have found. I think it’s safe to assume he’s still online somewhere, just under an alt and not revealing who he is.

Which may be the best for him, honestly.

Yeah Dobson would know about how targetting specific "trolls" tends to not work. remember when Dobson tried to go after YOU and how utterly spectacularly it failed? It was Dobson's last epic fail before his rage quit. BTW I'm not calling you a troll. You're not! Only from Dobson's perspective were you.

And Dobson was more or less just a hypothetical dickhead. Lily has done actual real harm to people maliciously, so the pushback of any kind of “callout” she does is going to be much worse for her.

Here’s a question. Have you ever had an interaction with Dobby or does he know about this blog?

I have only ever had one conversation with Dobson. It was on Twitter regarding Batman and Batgirl being a couple in The Killing Joke movie adaptation. He was incredibly angry about it, and I think I pointed out that it had happened in the backstory of Batman Beyond. He got really pissy at me and blocked me along with another person after a few back and forths. I’ll share it here idly I can find the post I made on it.

And he knew a little the blog almost immediately after he joined Twitter. He just never called me out by name(referring to me as “the hate blog”) until right before quit the internet, claiming I was his “lifelong abuser”.

What are some of the top theories why Dobson publicly left the internet ("public" being the key word, because come on, we all know he's still out there. He can't NOT bitch about things!)?

Something happened with his family that require them to stay offline publicly.

His parents found out about his online escapades and essentially forbid him from being online, and since he lives under their roof and doesn’t seem to pay rent…

Very similar to the last, only they’re trying to keep Dobson offline more so he gets out of that mindset he’s been in for a while and actually improves, gets a job and supports himself, ect.

Most unlikely, but Dobson is actually trying to be a better person and get out of his shitty mindset.

I think those are the major ones.

Where has Dobson gone?!

Oh, I’m sure he’s still online somewhere under an alt. But “officially” he quit the internet after a mean troll leaked his newest comic off his Patreon and no one took him seriously when he suddenly accused this blog of being run by “his lifelong abuser” and tried to get his followers to defend him. It didn’t work out, so he made a “pity me” post about leaving and shut down all his old social medias and websites and essentially publicly left.

Did Dobson really bet all of his remaining chips on that Cabin’s Rest vampire comic thing being successful, or was that just a final straw after years of failures?

Out of the two, I’m gonna guess last straw. This was a comic he’d talked about and hinted at for literal years, only to become absolutely furious when people other than the 14-16 people on his Patreon saw it, to the point that he actively started bashing this blog by name and tried to claim I was his lifelong abuser. And since I’m betting doing so backfired spectacularly on him, he publicly left the internet, though there are plenty of theories as to why he did so.

Do you feel this blog had an influence in Dobson not having a job? I heard that Ken Penders likewise suffered something like that due to the Thanks Ken Penders blog.

100% no influence whatsoever. This blog was started in 2018, long long after Dobson had moved in with his parents and decided his full time job was “freelance artist”, him not having a job is all his own doing.

I run a very niche blog on a website that hasn’t been popular since they banned any sort of porn material on it. I have about as much influence of Dobson’s life as he has self-awareness.

What happened to Andrew Dobson? I can't seem to find any of his stuff and most of his social media accounts are deactivated.

He deleted or locked down all his social media sites and everything after an attempt to send a hate mob after this blog(and accusing me of being his “abuser”) failed horribly and because his Muslim Vampire comic was being mocked by everyone. There’s a full timeline of events here.

General consensus is that Dobson is still online somewhere, just under an alt now. Hell, pillowfort is a thing now, maybe he’s somewhere on there.

Something about Dobson and people like him that baffles me is his complete unwillingness to be happy. He refuses to be happy in life, nothing is good enough for him, and he even sabotages himself so he never will be. And this is not entirely because of depression or anything else Dobson allegedly has. He doesn't WANT to be happy, apparently ever, and I just can't understand that.

I’m assuming he wants to feel as if he’s “controversial” and “under-appreciated in his time” rather than face the facts that he’s not the superior intellectual artist he thinks he is. He always tends to act as if he’s way more important than he actually is, even when he’s trying to play the victim. For example, just look at him trying to brag about himself even as he’s trying to accuse me of being his lifelong abuser.
