Macklemore cancels his show in Dubai to boycott the UAE in solidarity with the people of Sudan:
“At the end of the day I have to ask myself what is my intention as an artist? […] Although dismantling systemic oppression might not fully happen during my lifetime, our collective analysis is evolving. That is where it starts. When we realize our individual liberation IS Palestinian liberation. Is Sudanese liberation. Is Congolese liberation.”
He also writes:
“The last 10 months l've been learning what factors/motivators feed genocide and global systemic oppression. I keep getting led back to self interest over collective interest at the root. Capitalism is the glue that holds this ideology together. And if I take the money, while knowing it doesn't sit right with my spirit, how am I any different than the politicians l've been actively protesting against?”

LDS Trading is proud to be a leading supplier of premium Halloumi Cheese in the UAE and throughout the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, and Jordan. Our Halloumi is made using a traditional Cypriot recipe, combining cow’s, sheep’s, and goat’s milk to create a rich, savory flavor that is loved by many.
What makes Halloumi special is its firm texture and high melting point, which means it can be grilled, fried, or baked without losing its shape. This makes it an ideal choice for a variety of dishes, from barbecue grills to fresh salads or sandwiches. When raw, Halloumi has a chewy texture with a mild, salty taste. However, when grilled or fried, it becomes crispy and golden on the outside while remaining soft and tender on the inside, enhancing its flavor and appeal.

Glazed bricks depicting a Persian archer, dating back to around 510 BCE, from the city of Susa in the Achaemenid Empire. This glazed brick bas-relief style was perfected in Babylon, and even the Foundation Charter of the Susa palace states that the baked bricks at the palace were the work of the Babylonians.
