Im an epic fantasy and dark romance girl but trust me i love stupid little rom coms. They are exactly what i need after an intense book.

Like yes the author might have used present tense when the statement requires past tense but idgaf. All that matters is that i had fun.

Hello, some time ago someone yet again assumed you were from USA and you drew a couple(?) Of comics where you were holding them up and swearing at them with a large set of words on your tshirt

And I don't remember what the words were but I know they were fun to say in what I hope is your accent, because most of the time I can't do an accent other than maybe British, but I've never been able to easily do anything from the Americas.

And something about that sentence flowed so well and so smoothly that it gripped me and I kept running through it over and over until my roomate walked in on me talking to myself in an accent.

Sniper: -both have glow in the dark eyes due to austrailium exposure growing up

BLU -is a clone of red sniper -trying to build an identity outside of being a mercenary and being a clone -owns a camper van and lives in it -likes nature a lot and has a little journal cataloguing it -burn scars on the right shoulder and scar on the left cheek from meet the pyro and meet the spy

RED -og guy, sends money to parents etc etc -very like the meet the sniper video -lives in the base, owns a camper van but only uses it for travel -likes nature in a casual way, prefers to camp with their van -Y dissection scar from medic experiments. can turn his head 180 like an owl due medic once again Spy: -both are fancy fucks and went to the same spy school

BLU -slightly worse than red spy on the field, but more intiuitve than red. picks out the most important enemy merc at the right time, knows a spy when he sees one -great distraction spy. really great at catching attention when he wants to -NOT blue scouts dad, but will be, simply dating his mother and is looking out for scout on the field. -was infact the Spy in Medic's fridge, -more dramatic in action than red. is his weakness

RED -better spy on the field. those chain stabbing spies. can stop a push with the right timing. great at knowing what and where his team's progress is to do his own things. -great at disguising and acting. ambassador user. -is blue scouts dad. absent father. unaware he is a dad. really misses that boston woman -rather similar to expiration date spy -more attached to his items more than he realizes. is his weakness

Soldier: -both were originally one Jane Doe. used to be roomates with Merasmus before being cursed to be split into two, each half is like a wisdom vs intelligence thing. differentiates each other due to that. -has slight "mind-sharing" pseudo-telepathy with each other. treats each other as brothers/rivals -both are actually surprisingly smart. but only sometimes in rather specific situations though, never bothered sharing knowledge they both know

BLU -Jane W. Doe -wisdom half -takes care of the raccoons, unaware he also became a were-racoon, he is unaware of being one due to following a strict sleeping routine like any good American soldier would, so he sleeps trough the transformation. -magic adept, knows to cast a few spells -knows a lot of techniques and war tactics. great at identifying enemy strategies and countering them

RED -Jane I. Doe -intelligence half -Part bread monster due to teleporter incidents. bite is really strong and can eat whole bird with no problem. medic has banned everyone from bringing bread on the battle field because of this -magic adept, knows his way around magical contracts -knows a lot of history and war facts. great at identifying enemy weapons and what they do and how to counter them

Omgg, could we get a hint, a snap, a headcanon, anything, from this exchange au of yours?

I can give you everything I have so far anon. Because let me tell you, first weeks of exchange were an absolute nightmare and building this au based on my experience was one of my ways to cope. But I now am enjoying being on exchange and I'm so glad I stuck with it.

Also German exchange students are one of the biggest groups of exchange students there are next to like Americans and Canadians. Which also spurred this au.

So Ludwig and Arthur are roomates at uni with Ludwig being on exchange for the year. Arthur can tell Lud is having a rough time settling in so he invites Ludwig to come shopping with him and his older brothers (who are helping him get settled). Overall, he just tries to help Lud settle and feel more comfortable.

If moving to a new country and starting fresh wasn't already hard, he is faced with his birthday the first few days in. And it's hard not having anyone to celebrate with. Usually his brother and dad would make such a big deal about it even when Ludwig didn't want them to. Now he was missing that. Missing the cake Gilbert always make him. How he'd wake up to a personalized sign on his door wishing him a happy birthday. The big 20 and he was alone.

Arthur catches wind that it's Ludwig's birthday and gets his friends together (Kiku their roomate and a close friend of Arthur who brings along his boyfriend Feli who is also an exchange student, Alfred and Matthew who are Arthur's cousins but the three had always been close, Francis and Afonso). They all help plan a little party at the bar on campus and get a cake to celebrate. Some even brought gifts of chocolate and sweets. It's not the same, but Ludwig is glad he got to celebrate in the end and is touched that Arthur put all this together.

Anyway few weeks go by, Ludwig and Arthur get closer and closer as Arthur guides Lud through life in England. Based on a little hut I found in the town I am in (see below), there is a hut that servers German sausage. So after a really hard day with homesickness Arthur takes him to a similar hut to possibly give Lud a taste of home. Lud complains that it's expensive and they get into a bit of an argument with Arthur ending with Arthur saying he'll pay and he just wants to make Lud feel better. Lud is once again touched and this is when he probably starts falling for Arthur, smitten by how much he cares even when he tries to act like he doesn't.

Another way Arthur helps Lud with his homesickness is taking him to the weekly therapy dog sessions the uni offers because he finds out Lud really likes dogs. When they go to the first session it's the first time Arthur sees Lud genuinely smile and he may or may not fall in love right then and there.

Some more time goes by and for bonfire night, the university puts on a fireworks show and Arthur takes Ludwig to it. But underestimating how cold it would, Arthur is underdressed and is freezing as they wait for the show to start. In the end, Lud let's him huddle under his coat, forcing them in close proximity. But its all necessary I assure you lol.

Them sharing their first kiss on an empty bus on a Sunday evening.

Anyway, them taking trips together. Arthur swearing to show Lud every inch of London. Ludwig taking Arthur to Germany with him during Christmas break to introduce him to his family.

And that's all I got so far.

AND NOW— after MONTHS of putting this off, I finally read the book this month.

Long story short, I enjoyed it🤚🏼Lucas is cute. Rosie is cute. I enjoyed their friendship/ crushing. They are just adorable couple. PLUS the cameo of Lina and Aaron. I rated this book 4⭐️.

I absolutely can’t wait for the upcoming The Long Game— they all sounds fun and exciting ✨

Every time I hear this music, I am immediately transported back to Oxford, Mississippi, where I helped with a haunted house (run by whom? I do not know). A lot of the theater kids helped, and so I did too. I had a great time. It must have been my first semester, because I remember having the time/availability to do it, and that was the only semester I was not employed to help cover my own expenses. The haunted house was another one of those things that my then-roomate wrangled me into that I would otherwise never have done.

I have always loved Halloween, but the haunted houses we went to were called “Hell Houses” — a story-tour, usually held in one of the larger, local churches. The concept was that some young person has committed the sin of having a drink and giving into peer pressure, and then they die (usually in a car accident), and then we follow the potential path of spirits in the immediate afterlife — at least as fundamentalists visualized it in the 80s and 90s of the last century — the paths going both to paradise and to damnation.

The haunted house I helped at in Oxford was one of the only times in my life I felt the experience of what it was to be a “normal, American teenager.” Those were not regular for me. That it happened in the crisp of autumn is one of my favorite things about the memory.
