anon, i want you to know that i've mulled over this ask somewhat obsessively ever since you sent it. it could've been weeks ago or days. i struggled because divorced aus are SO hard, the lovers to enemies to lovers of it. it'd be very easy to say, oh lena found out she was sg and they got divorced and then kara made it up to her and they got back together. but that's been done. boring. predictable.

then i saw this post:

so now i'm thinking:

Lena finds out Kara's real identity. They are already married. There's the reveal scene. The break-up. The works.

But caveat. Lena is now blackmailing Kara in service of helping L-corp and their public image. She's making Kara go to events. She's making Kara submit to testing in the hope of technological breakthroughs, cure for cancer, etc. She's making Kara clean up plastic island. If she doesn't do what she says, she's threatening to expose her to the world.

She's making kara take meetings with people she hates. She's spreading false rumors like she loves Kale and getting her salad sponsorships. Whatever the Ariana Grande "Pete Davidson's dick is so big" equivalent is for gays, she's doing that so anyone Kara ever thinks of getting close to intimately will be disappointed when it isn't sure.

Lena's using everything she knows and loves about Kara to torture her, but mostly in the name of science and discovery. Kara's basically letting her do it out of guilt and reparations.

the other possibility is a continuation or fully fleshed liar liar au where Lena and Kara are divorced with a kid and kara is forced to tell the truth for a day after their kid wishes she would stop lying. would LOVE that, too.

Right when I thought I didn't get hate for a while...

How about you check my tags and warnings before reading my stories? I use the tag/pairing Stucky if it's Stucky only. If it's a reader insert I use Stucky x Reader.

I tag female reader, x reader for a reason. How about you block these tags? I put them on a story for a reason. Just like I tag Bucky x Steve because some people do not want to read a story involving a sexual/intimate relationship between them.

If you are grown enough to be on Tumblr, you should be able to handle the tag system.

lena is really *really* into the idea of fucking an alien

sometimes when lena is bored at her desk, on a conference call with the board, listening to her mother emasculate yet another yale-bred, early 20s nepotism hire in the hallway, her mind wanders. meanders, really. it's a lesson in imagination. a practice in her academic deductive reasoning. one of those exercises designed to fight dementia, she's inclined to believe. anyways, she wanders about what it would be like to fuck an alien.

don't be like that. it's not crass. it's a scientific pursuit.

for instance, would it be sexual or asexual reproduction? sexual reproduction would make more sense, and surely the universe is sensible. it would promote genetic diversity. and then, what kind? syngamy or conjugation? fertilization was the most common in multicellular sexual populations, lena has often reasoned. (see, this isn't horny. many of these words put you right to sleep, didn't they?) then there's the types of syngamy, of course: isogamy, heterogamy, and oogamy. but she doesn't really need to get into gametes here. size, number, maintenance. the question she's pondering while jess is listing off her jampacked schedule is how different would an alien's physiology end up being, sexually speaking? would they feel pleasure? that wasn't common on earth. how would fertilization work? penetration? on all fours, perhaps?

hm. or would none of that even matter? would it be purely for the experience of interspecies connection? of finding common ground with a creature so distinct from you, it could almost be argued as a matter of say, quantum entanglement. no matter how many stars separated you, here you were. touching. looking. intertwining. two materials from totally different galaxies, the products of millions of years of formation, evolution, coming, coming together as one.

"mrs. luthor?" the tentative voice of her assistant rings out.

lena drops her pen to her desk. she'd been absentmindedly doodling. it's the super crest.

"kara danvers is here to see you."

"send her up," lena replies, careful in her tone, swiveling her chair towards the blinding windows of her office. up towards the sky, the heavens and far beyond.

if only someone, someone she knew personally, an alien, would be so inclined as to humor her questions. or even a physical demonstration, perhaps? was that really so hard?

Formatting! 😭I absolutely hate when a story is posted where everything is in gigantic 20 sentence long paragraphs. Especially when the dialogue is added all together in there too. Dialogue should ideally be its own line/paragraph. Sometimes too many spelling errors can make me not want to read as well. And I don't mean like occasional typos and slip-ups, I mean when it sounds like someone didn't at least give the text a reread to make sure it all makes sense first.

🐇 ⇢ do you prefer writing original characters, reader inserts, or a mix of both? 

This depends on the type of story I am writing. I usually prefer making original characters, its the most fulfilling and fun to me, but xReader/Reader insert is pretty nice when you're making a oneshot series. Even then, I can never not give "Reader" in my stories some kind of nickname or personality to fit the narration and make things flow more naturally.

I have a thing for the element of fire. Warmth and heat is such a versatile thing with emotions and if you've ever read my stuff, I use the idea of fire and heat a lot. So Umber is the color of like a burnt brown/orange usually and Cinders are the charred pieces of what's left after something has burned away
