I was also watching the anime again today. When idk what I wanna do with myself, I ultimately end up putting on the anime in the background. It's alright for what it is, even for how much it cuts out, but it's anime for TV. But I think about the wording in some of the later episodes that focus on Ritsu. At multiple instances, Ritsu mentions not wanting to end up like Rei, even to a point of mentioning not wanting to lose everything precious to him. While I do not have a STRONG understanding completely of Rei's character, but it just makes me think of how even after everything, if there's one thing I know for a FACT Rei did NOT lose after the War, it was Koga & him bringing Rei back around to pull Adonis & Kaoru in to form UNDEAD. Koga did not leave Rei. Koga basically pulled in Rei's old personality into himself as an attempt to continue to call out to Rei.
Yes, blah blah blah, I'm getting back on how it takes until the Repayment Festival for Koga to outwardly admit everything when he was SO SCARED of losing UNDEAD himself. But rather than falling back, he attempted so hard to continue to stand on his feet with Adonis at his side, but he did not want UNDEAD to disband after graduation. Koga opened up to Rei & when Rei allowed a little of his old bad boy side out at that point, everything began to fall into place. But Koga never once wanted to leave Rei, that's his dedication even after knowing the effects of the War on Rei. He stayed in the Band Club with Rei. He pulled UNDEAD together, sort of -- though he needed Rei's help to keep Kaoru wrangled in for a lot of that year. But without Koga's dedication, there's no guarantee Rei would've continued as he did.
A lot of other stuff may have been lost after the War, but Koga's presence was NOT lost. There's no doubt there's a strong bond between the two of them. Adonis & Kaoru included, but... UNDEAD could've not been if Rei & Koga didn't have as strong of a bond underneath their personas.

Ken Ryuguji top 10 moments! (Part 1)
10. We'll start this list off with kind and considerate baby Draken helping Emma carry some boxes. He's such a good kid (just ignore him beating those kids up in chapter 0)
Tumblr media
9. Him believing Hina about the time leaping and giving her a ride to the fight. Ok maybe bringing Hina to a dangerous fight wasn't the best idea but I'm fairly certain she insisted. But believing her and by extension Takemichi about the time leaping was very important.
Tumblr media
8. Draken once again being a kind friend by helping to look after Pochi for Pah, taking him on walks along with Mitsuya.
Tumblr media
7. That time he defended Takemichi from Pah and actually suggested listening to what Takemichi was saying.
Tumblr media
6. Helping Mikey to build the babu, not only was this important since it gave Takemichi a bike (and us a wholesome moment) but I think this was also really important for Mikey too. Carrying on Shinichiros work might've been part of Mikey's grieving process/ coping mechanism so Draken helping him with that was probably pretty important.
Tumblr media
5. Trying to make Mikey let Takemichi leave. Both Draken and Mitsuya noticed how Takemichi wasn't suited for this life and the bad direction they were heading in. Going against Mikey wouldn't have been easy for them here but they still put in the effort for their friend.
Tumblr media
4. Being a super considerate partner and checking on Emma while she's pregnant. He really is a big softie!
Tumblr media
3. Trying to call off the valhalla fight and reassure Kazutora that they're still friends. I really love this moment, we don't talk about it a lot but I think it shows just how much Draken cares about his friends, he just wanted both Mikey and Kazutora to be safe and tried his best to call the fight off. He also looks especially sad after Kazutora says he hates him.
Tumblr media
2. Helping Takemichi get to his final confrontation with Kisaki and fighting off Hanma when he tries to stop them. He was so willing to help that he even carried Takemichi on his back to get him there, he also managed to defeat Hanma which is no easy feat (and he called Hanma a zombie which is just iconic)
Tumblr media
1. And no1, grab the tissues cause it's the time he sacrificed himself to save Takemichi. Draken made sure Takemichi lived on but paid his own life as the consequence. It's the fact that he didn't even hesitate too and even had no regrets during his death. He really cared a lot about his friends.
Tumblr media
Stay tuned for part 2 at the same time tomorrow (Draken does a lot of good things ok, too many for one list)

Will.of.Oz (Unexpected Musical) — PattyCake Productions music video
youtube
For the third offering in their Unexpected Musicals series, the PattyCake guys got even more ambitious. Combining the club jams of the Black Eyed Peas with the spectacle of The Wizard of Oz required a bigger cast and more locations than their first two videos. Not to mention all the costumes, props, set pieces, and visual effects. But they pulled all of it off with their own unique flair.
Details:
title: Unexpected Musicals – Will.of.Oz
performers: Rachel Copeland (Dorothy); Alexander Browne (Scarecrow / coronor / Winkie guard); E. Michael Evans (Tin Man); Earl Elkins, Jr. (Cowardly Lion); Olivia Adkins (Glinda); Kathy Castellucci (Wicked Witch); Fletcher Wakim (Toto); Eli Jacobson (Lollipop Guild); Annesley Kolb, Kelsey Kolb, & Lilly Kolb (Lullaby League); Charlie Crook, Blanca Rosero, Savannah Simerly, Annabel Rosario, Danielle Peronto, Fred Ramos, Nick Perez, Britt Nicole, Richard Bianco, Polly Pocket, & Jonathan Shane Ferrell (munchkins)
original songs / performers: [0:20] "Let's Get It Started" by the Black Eyed Peas; [1:46] "Don't Phunk with My Heart" by the Black Eyed Peas; [2:10] "Don't Lie" by the Black Eyed Peas; [2:40] "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas; [3:10] "Boom Boom Pow" by the Black Eyed Peas; [3:28] "Scream and Shout" by will.i.am, featuring Britney Spears; [3:54] "The Time (I've Had the Time of My Life)" by the Black Eyed Peas
written by: all songs by William "will.i.am" Adams in collaboration — "Let's Get It Started" with Allan "apl.de.ap" Pineda, Jaime "Taboo" Gomez, Terence Yoshiaki, Michael Fratantuno, & George Pajon, Jr.; "Don't Phunk with My Heart" with Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson, Priese "Printz" Board, George Pajon, Jr., Full Force, Kalyanji–Anandji, & Shyamalal Babu "Indeevar" Rai; "Don't Lie" with Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson, Jaime "Taboo" Gomez, Allan "apl.de.ap" Pineda, Chris Peters, Drew Peters, & Richard "Slick Rick" Walters; "I Gotta Feeling" with Allan "apl.de.ap" Pineda, Jaime "Taboo" Gomez, & Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson, David Guetta, & Frédéric Riesterer; "Boom Boom Pow" with Allan "apl.de.ap" Pineda, Jaime "Taboo" Gomez, & Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson; "Scream and Shout" with Jean Baptiste Kouame, Tula "Tulisa" Contostavlos, & Jef Martens; "The Time (I've Had the Time of My Life)" by John DeNicola, Donald Markowitz, & Franke Previte
arranged by: Tony Wakim & Layne Stein
release date: 5 December 2016
My favorite bits:
the munchkins' various entertaining entrances
Eli recreating the Lollipop Guild's expressions and herky-jerky dance moves
the Scarecrow saying ♫ "lose control of body and soul" ♫ as he's gangling about
the "Ding Dong" instrumental melody playing underneath Dorothy and the Scarecrow's exit
and "If I Only Had…" under the Tin Man's introduction
including the iconic "Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!" as a counterpoint to "Don't Phunk With My Heart"
Earl's fantastic lion growl and melodramatic wailing (and poor little Fletcher getting confused by it)
the lovely harmonized ♫ "no no no no" ♫ section in "Don't Lie"
the bombast of "Boom Boom Pow" being delivered by the illusory visage of Oz the Great and Powerful
Kathy's pitch-perfect Margaret Hamilton witch cackle
the layered melodies in the coda section
all those incredible costumes (Tony was busy!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Trivia:
According to PattyCake's Instagram teasers, it took 68 yards of fabric to make Glinda's voluminous gown, 2500 hand-stiched sequins to cover each pair of ruby slippers, and 57 pounds of actual tin to make the Tin Man's armor.
The Lullabye League is portrayed by Layne's step-daughters.
Jonathan Shane Ferrell isn't just one of the munchins. He's also one of the artists from Makeup & Creative Arts who provided the incredible character prosthetics.
PattyCake released their first public blooper reel for this project, and it is very fun.
youtube
The team at Makeup & Creative Arts released a time lapse prosthetics demo video for their Oz collection a couple years later with Dan Varnum donning the Lion's mane, Kathy Castellucci reprising her Wicked Witch role, Geoff Castellucci going gray silver as the Tin Man, & Paul Kaleka getting stuffed into the Scarecrow's burlap.
youtube
Rachel slipped back into Dorothy's gingham dress the following year to play Judy Garland in PattyCake's "La La Land" video.
Tony had performed "Let's Get It Started" many, many times during his decade as Dracula in the "Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue" at Universal Studios.
"Let's Get It Started" was also part of the opening medley for VoicePlay's second episode of The Sing-Off, though not the section the guys were featured in.
Layne had previously created a remix of "I Gotta Feeling" back in 2010 through his studio, Rayne's Room.

With the infamous words, "Somehow, Palpatine returned," the end of the third Star Wars trilogy premiered on December 20, 2019. There had been plans to focus on Han in the first movie, Luke in the second, and Leia the third, but the death of Carrie Fisher changed those plans. Producers decided to inlcude her primarily through using unused footage. To help with the nastalgia for the original trilogy Billy Dee Williams returned as Lando Calrissian, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Ian McDiarmid as Emperor Palpatine, Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Mike Quinn and Kipsang Rotich as Nien Nunb, Warwick Davis as Wicket, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Denis Lawson as Wedge Antilles and R2-D2. Returning from the new trilogy were Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Domhall Gleeson (General Hux), Lupita Nyong'o (Maz Kanata), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), Greg Grunberg (Snap Wexley), Amanda Lawrence (Comander D'Acy), Billy Lourd (Lt Connix) and BB8. There were a lot of voice cameos by Shirley Henderson (Babu Frik), J.J. Abrams (D-0) , James Earl Jones (Darth Vader), Matthew Wood (Cai Threnalli), Andy Serkis (Snoke), Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker), Olivia D'Ablo (Luminara Unduli), Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano), Jennifer Hale (Aayla Secura), Samuel L Jackson (Mace Windu), Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Alec Guinness (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Frank Oz (Yoda), Angelique Perrin (Adi Gallia), Freddie Prinze Jr (Kanan Jarrus), and Liam Neeson (Qui-Gon Jinn). John Williams who composed the scores for all three of the original trilogies made a cameo appearance. There were also cameos by Richard E Grant, Keri Russel, Dominic Monaghan, Jeff Garlin, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ed Sheeran, Kevin Smith, and Karl Urban. The action took place at Ajon Kloss, Pasaana, Kijimi, Kef Bir, and Exegol. ("Star Wars Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker" Star Wars Movie Event).

Far Side Of The World
Ramadan is over, the new moon's showin' her face I'm halfway 'round the planet in a most unlikely place Following my song line past bamboo shacks and shops Behind a jitney packed like sardines with bananas piled on top
I ran away from politics, it's too bizarre at home Away I flew, tuned into blue, maybe Amsterdam or Rome Awakened by a stewardess with Spain somewhere below On the threshold of adventure, God, I do love this job so
So while I make my move on the big board game Up and down that Spanish highway, some things remain the same Girls meet boys and the boys tease girls I'm headin' out this morning for the far side of the world
Oh, I believe in song lines, obvious and not I'd ridden them like camels to some most peculiar spots They run across the oceans, through mountains and saloons And tonight out to the desert where I sit atop this dune
I was destined for this vantage point, though it's so far from the sea I've lived it in the pages of Saint-Exupéry From Paris to Tunisia, Casablanca to Dakar I was riding long before I flew through the wind and sand and stars
Caravan, ride that hump And Timbuktu's a jillion bumps Sleeping bags and battle flags are coiled and furled That's the way you travel to the far side of the world
A sunset framed by lightning bolts burns a lasting memory And a string of tiny twinkling lights adorn the sausage tree While the embers from the log fire, they flicker, fly, and twirl Then drift off toward the cosmos from the far side of the world
Now it's Christmas and my birthday and so to that extent The Maasai, not the wise men, are circling my tent I teach them how to play guitar, they show me how to dance We have rum from the Caribbean and Burgundy from France
New Year's Eve in Zanzibar with Babu and his boys High up on the rooftop, you can relish all the noise They are dancing on the tables, people bouncing like gazelles 2-0-0-1 is ushered in with air raid horns and bells
Time to sing, time to dance Living out my second chance Cobras and sleeping bags are coiled and curled That's the way it happens on the far side of the world
Back at home, it's afternoon, six thousand miles away I will still be there when I get through attending this soiree There are jobs and chores and questions and plates I need to twirl But tonight I'll take my chances on the far side of the world
Yes, that's the way it happens on the far side of the world

I finally watched Star Wars 9 (aka Star Wars 8) and Star Wars 11 (aka Star Wars 9) along with a rewatch of Star Wars 7 (aka Star Wars 7). They're all bad!
The Force Awakens - I feel like this got by because people assumed it would resolve and pay off and you know, be a movie. It didn't and unfortunately the failures of 8 and 9 directly affect 7 because it leaned so heavy on future installments. It basically balled out on a credit card and episode 9 was the bill. But despite that I do think it's the closest to telling a coherent story in its own right. It's a story called Star Wars 1977 aka A New Hope, but whatever. It's also weird in that it like, double dips. It mocks this series adherence to the past while whole heartedly leaning into that earnestly. At it's best it's like Canonized Spaceballs, at it's worst it's reheated leftovers. But yeah, as soon as they drop that cryptic vision and "a story for another time" crap I know this was gonna blow. It's the guy who made fucking LOST. When will people learn!?
The Last Jedi - Guys this is dumb. Dumb as hell. Dumber than most Star Wars. Even the good ideas it flirts with are rudimentary. But they also botch half the story. Like the entire plot about the escape from whatever could have been solved with a single five minute conversation, and there's really no consequences. Like Holdo looks like an idiot for not briefing her crew... Poe Finn n' Rose look like idiots for botching a mutiny and getting thousands killed. It's so dumb.
Luke kills kids now... guess it's genetic. Like I think there's a small seed of a good idea in here. That Luke, once an anomaly amongst the Jedi, who saw good in a man everyone else thought was irredeemable, is now stodgy and conservative, a natural process that often comes when people are in power for a long time. That's a good idea. But for the first story with the character in years (I don't give a fuck about some stupid book) and we immediately jump to, "I tried to kill a kid cuz his rancid vibes" is bad! Bad writing!
Rise of the Skywalker - Everyone basically went in know this was gonna suck right? Like it had to wrap up a bunch of crap that no one had any plans for. Then it also had to deal with the fact that the Last Jedi kind of dismantled all that crap for a bunch of other crap know one had any ideas for. Like I know JJ and Kennedy are portrayed as villains for cutting down Johnson's vision, but I call bullshit on him having any ideas for a third movie either.
And in spite of that, it introduces a bunch of other stupid crap, too. Yeah this is Episode 2 levels of bad. I totally checked out. I had no idea what anyone was trying to do beyond shoot people. Babu Frik and D-0 were delightful though. Give those two a movie. Oh and it seems like each of these leans heavily on one old guy to breath life into the movie. Anthony Daniels, you may have been the best part of this?
Oh yeah the cast, like in general. They're mostly good, but also like. They don't properly hang out together until Rise of Skyguy and I just find it so odd that the filmmakers decide, oh yeah, they all hate each other? Like even Finn/Poe who were all like Buddy-this Buddy-that, now they're total dicks to each other. I also love that they one up Jedi butchering a love triangle, by introducing like six* potential couplings and all of them fizzling out. Like that's bad but it's even more confusing that they introduce more to fumble in the final installment.
Anyway, in summation. It sucked, and anything good about the first entry was a time bomb destined to suck because no one knew what the hell they wanted to do with any of this. Except make money. They knew that and did. Star Wars sucksssss

Thinking about how if Koga's admiration had truly TRULY bothered Rei during that year, he never would have allowed Koga to stay at his side. Like yeah, Koga admired bad boy rocker Rei so SO much to the point wanting to be very similar to him, but compared to others who'd use Rei, Koga wanted to be BESIDE Rei, properly learn to play the guitar, & even amounting to rebranding DEADMANZ to UNDEAD to keep Rei going instead of leaving everything & Rei behind. He did not turn his head from Rei during the War, instead he stayed rooted at his side. Even when Rei did a 180 on his "personality", his way of speech, Koga never left. There's true dedication there, and if Rei was at all truly bothered by Koga's admiration, character, & actions, he could have told Koga to leave & never look back. But after the War, into their 3rd & 2nd years, & even after Rei's graduation, they couldn't part ways. Of course Kaoru & Adonis being there also play their parts in it all, but ultimately Rei could've walked away from Koga yet he didn't.

Hi! Loved your response to my SSR knowledge questionnaire!
Also, could you rate every SSR Villain from all his movies out of 10, with reasons provided please?
Also also, thoughts on the upcoming SSR/Mahesh Babu movie? What's your theories on what the movie could be about given the limited plot details about it being an adventure movie inspired by the Indiana Jones movies?
haha thanks for another ask!
It's been a long time since I watched Student No. 1 so I can't really rate whatever obstacle in that movie
Simhadri - 3, from what I remember feeling, it was like the story was the villain. Villain wasn't villaining that much if ykwim
Sye - 7, I love dumb villains
Chatrapathi - 9, the villains in this are pretty much like colonisers which is what i love about this movie (among the other fabulous things about it). they're genuinely evil, they don't give a fuck about anyone but themselves and rule like an iron fist gripping a mound of sand
Vikramarkudu - 10, just for the oily curly hair that gives me my hair goals😍😍
Yamadonga - 2, again, villain wasn't villaining. the actual thug they hired wasn't even there for 20 minutes. Mahi's relatives can go get whipped (literally)
Magadheera - 9, he's so evil I love it. no tragic backstory, no psychosis story, he's just possessive (the lengths I go to defend tall men, sigh, fml) and an absolute asshole.
Maryada Ramanna - 1 (and only because I can't give it a 0). i get that family feud is the real villain but nope. NOPE. you ain't killing YOUR OWN FAMILY MEMBER because he's more humane than you. Also, I hate the hypocrisy in their we-can-only-kill-outside-the-house-because-house-blesses-family theory . Speaking like that, Veturi said "Jagamantha Kutumbam Naadi" (the world is my family) so what then huh Reddy gaaru?
Eega - 10 (and only because I can't give it 1000). by now you must have understand that I love villains who are unapologetically assholes. He's rich, and he wants to keep it that way. So he killed his best friend for money. So what? He was annoyingly right anyway, no use. Sudeep is the perfect maniac obsessed zillionaire that I would want to kill as a fly.
Bahubali The Beginning - 5, I kinda don't like amped up villains. Bijjala does good, but I draw the line at the Pandit making evil faces at thin air in the middle of celebrations. Bhalla isn't a villain in my opinion, he's a smol bean who is a rich dad's spoiled brat. Being evil and underappreciated is the only thing he knows my poor baby. (@juhiiiiii gets me on this topic, don't you agree akkay?)
Bahubali The Conclusion - 3, you know why honey. I desperately wanted to beg Rajamouli to read the books (at least the first one) to make him realize how ooc Sivagami was. But Bijjala is properly characterised I must say.
RRR - 5, I want a 3D British colonizer for once.
Also also, thoughts on the upcoming SSR/Mahesh Babu movie? What's your theories on what the movie could be about given the limited plot details about it being an adventure movie inspired by the Indiana Jones movies?
I don't make the mistake of creating expectations in my mind for SSR's movies before 2 months of the release. I did that for Bahubali 2 (as did the entire world right?) and for Maryada Ramanna, and Yamadonga. I honestly can't picture Mahesh Babu as anything but a preacher or a politician or a police officer. But let me just say this: the last time MB wore a cowboy hat on an adventure, it was either horrible box office numbers:
Tumblr media
(Movie: Takkari Donga)
or mindblowing box office numbers
Tumblr media
(Movie: Athadu)
thanks for the ask!

I often find myself craving for love, desperately.
But then i see my Mother from across the room, preparing freshly cut fruits for me with a smile.
Tumblr media
I hear my Dad calling me 'babu' and asking me how to use a certain app, sitting with his legs crossed on the bed with the phone in his hand.
I hear my brother in the driveway telling me to hop on and go bowling with him. " The score's still 5-0, let's see if you can beat me this time" he'd say.
I often find myself craving for love but more often
i find myself surrounded by it.

HOWEVER. if it were for ME i feel he'll go out of his way to cater to my introvert gremliness AND my sentimental on my birthday of all days 🥺.
he'll find those cute hidden dating spots to spend the day.
pottery painting cafe- he'd make me the ugliest kitty mug on god's earth and i'll loVE IT FOREVER and no one else is allowed to use it ESPECIALLY FOR MY MORNING COFFEE or i'm going to commit homicide as early as 6.00 am in the fucking day :) we'll make a family of frogs for the living room too hehe
