“You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me” + Pregnancy + Bale!Bruce Wayne
Tumblr media
Words: 4.1k words
Warnings: Pregnancy, fluff, a bit of crack (Bruce is so funny he could be a stand up comedian), Alfred is also hilarious, lots of protective Bruce and Alfred, it's just an overall very fluffy and sweet fic!! Not proofread though, so if I forgot anything, let me know!
A/N: Hey everyone! Here's another entry from my 200 Followers Event! This was so fun to write oh my god!!! I am a firm believer in the fact that Bruce Wayne would be an amazing partner, and a very fun person to be around. I truly think he'd have the most beautiful relationship with his partner, and I tried to convey it here!
So, I hope this was up to your expectations, and that you love it as much as I do!!!!

The first thing you thought as you walked down the stairs of Wayne Manor was “We should get an elevator”, followed by “I’m never walking down these godforsaken stairs again”.
You weren’t lazy, not quite.
It was just extremely hard doing so now that your stomach was as big as a basketball.
You reached the bottom of the stairs and leaned against the marble railing, sighing deeply.
“Look, I love you, I really do. You’re my little bundle of joy, and you’re not even here yet,” you mumbled, placing a small hand on your stomach to support it. “But you need to give your mommy a break, alright? I can barely walk, and your dad wants to put me in a wheelchair. And we’re stubborn, baby, we are. So, we gotta prove to him we’re still capable of doing things on your own. Thing you can do that?”
You were met with a weird sensation; one you’d felt countless times before. Your baby was kicking. You didn’t think that to be a coincidence – you liked to assume your child was replying to whatever you said. You spoke to him quite often, mumbling about your day, telling him about all the things you did at the Manor or whenever you were out and about. Bruce was pretty sure you were already the baby’s favourite since he seemed to calm his kicking fits pretty quickly whenever you spoke to him.
You smiled at your bump and caught your breath, making your way towards the living room.
Alfred was in the kitchen, brewing a small cup of tea. He placed it on top of a silver tray and came out of the room. Once he got a good look at you, his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets, and he hurried to place the tray down and rush to your side.
“Madam Wayne, what in the bloody hell are you doing?” he asked, taking your arm. Alfred, just like Bruce, had taken a liking to assuming you weren’t even capable of opening water bottles by yourself. “I thought I told you to let me know once you came downstairs.” His tone was stern, but you could tell apart the layers upon layers of care.
“Alfred, if I take you up on that offer every time you make it, I’ll become spoiled. That’s not a message I want to pass on to my son,” you replied with a soft chuckle.
Alfred led you to the couch, where you sat down and groaned in relief. You were about 8 months pregnant, and absolutely huge, and everything felt terrible and uncomfortable. Bruce doted on you immensely, but you just wanted it to be over, wanted to get this baby out of you and into your arms.
“Your son is the heir to the Wayne name, Madam. I believe he will grow spoiled whether you like it or not.”
“Bruce will not be spoiling our child, Alfred,” you scoffed, “You know I won’t let him.”
“No one said anything about Master Wayne.” Was his reply, paired up with a cheeky grin.
You chuckled and tried leaning over to fetch the cup of tea Alfred had prepared. He of course did not let you, grabbing it before you had a chance to. He handed it to you with a soft “Here you go” and a cheeky smile.
Ever since you’d gotten pregnant, it was like Bruce and Alfred alike had made some sort of devilish deal to take upon themselves every burden and chore of yours. You were no longer allowed to do laundry, help Alfred with the dishes, tend to the garden, you weren’t even allowed to cook dinner for your husband anymore.
Instead, you were told to rest and not worry yourself and not tire yourself out.
It was annoying when Bruce did it, although you knew he had the best intentions at heart, but it was even worse when Alfred did it. Alfred, of all people. Your partner in crime, your close friend, the one who teamed up with you against Bruce, the one who made sure to always keep you in the loop of whatever was going on, the one person you knew you could trust in a sea of snobs and fake smiles (aside from Bruce, of course).
You often joked he’d betrayed you, no longer joining you to prank Bruce or get him to leave his office or his cave. No, now, it was the other way around, and you felt like you’d been stabbed in the back.
“One day you’re going to wake up, and I’m going to be shopping all by myself, far away from the both of you,” you sighed and sipped from your tea. It was your favourite and tasted as lovely as always – Alfred was almost like a magician.
“And risk giving Master Wayne a heart attack? What a loving wife you are.” Alfred replied smugly. “I guess true love really does manifest in the strangest of ways.”
“You’re a viper, Alfred,” you sighed. “A vicious, sneaky little viper.”
“Happy to be of service, Madam.”
You groaned.
That’s another thing you’d lost after the pregnancy – the privilege of having Alfred calling you by your actual name as opposed to any fancy titles. It had taken him a few years and a lot of begging from you; you were far too tired of “Mrs. Wayne” and you considered him more than a butler, but rather a friend, so why couldn’t he just address you by your name? And you’d managed to do it. Little by little, Alfred was calling you by your name, ditching the titles.
That was, until you said you were pregnant.
Now, not only you were back to titles, but you were also Madam.
When you’d asked Alfred why the sudden change, he said, “Not only you are Mrs. Wayne, but you are also carrying on the legacy of this family. You are Master Wayne’s wife, and now the mother of his children. It would be informal to refer to you as anything less than that.”
Safe to say, you were screwed.
You loved your guys, you did. Alfred played a huge role in your life, being friend and confidante and a father figure all at once. And Bruce was the love of your life.
But sometimes, all you wanted to do was strangle both to death.
“If you need anything, Madam, just call.” Alfred said before standing up.
“You know I won’t.”
“I know bloody hell you won’t, but I’ll be here nonetheless.”
You smiled and grabbed the book that was by your side, deciding on some light reading. The sun was shining brightly and casting a warm glow over the vast living room of Wayne Manor. You smiled at the sight. You loved peaceful afternoons like this, where the sun warmed your face and tickled your feet, and you could relax for a bit.
Today though, you were simply trying to pass time until Bruce arrived.
He was taking you out for a stroll in the park later, something you’d been begging for a while now, and you couldn’t wait.
It’s not like he kept you locked up inside the Manor – not at all. You were not a prisoner he held captive. He was just protective. Bruce had lost so much in his life; now that he had you and you were giving him a child, he wanted to do everything in his power to make sure you weren’t taken from him as well. He did not forbid you to go outside or carry on with your usual life – he was simply careful. Ever since you started showing, Alfred was to accompany you anywhere you needed to go, along with a bodyguard Bruce had hired just for you.
Bruce knew how cruel Gotham could be, and how vicious journalists and paparazzi could act just for a scoop, so he made sure to try and keep you safe, even if he wasn’t there to do it himself. And you had to admit, he’d been right. More than once had paparazzi tried to get pictures of your baby bump, or tried to interview you while you ran errands or shopped. It was draining, and you partly understood Bruce’s paranoia with your safety.
When you hit the 7-month mark and your belly had considerably grown in size, he was more alert than ever. You couldn’t leave the house without being accompanied, and if you wanted to go out at night, you had to let him know where and with who in advance. Not to control your every move (well, kind of to control your every move), but just to keep you safe, should he be out as Batman and couldn’t go out with you. And how could you not understand where he came from? Everyone knows poor Bruce Wayne’s story. Losing both his parents at a young age, being away from his own city for so long, leading an extremely lonely life all these years. He was not going to lose the one person that had brought him so much joy and hope for the future.
At first it had annoyed you a bit. “I’m pregnant, Bruce. I can still do things,” you had told him.
But one night, you caught him in your bedroom, shaking and crying. Earlier, you’d been intercepted by a few journalists – fanatics, more accurately – who’d cornered you against a wall and bombarded you with questions, even going as far as touching you, pushing you and pulling you so you’d be near their microphones and answer their questions. Bruce had been fetching your drink from a coffee chop nearby, while you waited for him outside (the line was long and it was bustling with activity, and Bruce did not want you near all the confusion), and he’d only caught sight of you when he came out, drinks in hand, and spotted your teary eyed expression, trying to get away from the reporters. The drinks were forgotten and spilled all over the sidewalk once they hit the floor, and Bruce was by your side in a flash, yelling at them and threatening them repeatedly. You were quick to hold onto him, terrified, and he wrapped his arm around you protectively, a cruel expression on his face.
And later when you got home, you’d caught him crying. You’d walked up to him and asked if everything was alright, and he had begged for your forgiveness. He kept mumbling about what could’ve happened if he hadn’t gotten there on time, about how terrible of a husband he was, leaving you all alone on the street, and about how you didn’t deserve him.
You’d sighed and pulled him up to kiss his lips softly.
“You’re an amazing husband,” you’d whispered in the quietness of your bedroom. “The best I could have ever asked for. And you have nothing to apologize for. It’s fine. We’re fine. Please don’t beat yourself up over it, I beg of you.”
Bruce had taken your face in his hands and kissed you, promising without words to do better, to be better. You kissed him back, assuring him no promises were needed.
The following morning, every news channel was flooded with reports of numerous journalists being fired due to the harassment of Bruce Wayne’s pregnant wife.
You’d looked at Bruce over your coffee, and he’d smugly ignored you.
Bruce had taken the news of your pregnancy extremely well. Of course he’d moped and worried for a while, commenting on how he had a duty as Batman, but also as your husband, nearly trying to figure out a way to split himself into two jus so he was able to take care of both, but a serious talk with Alfred (which you overheard partially by accident) sent him on the right track.
From that moment onward, Batman wasn’t in the picture as much. He did not give the mask up altogether – Bruce wasn’t going to stop trying his best for the city, and he had to make sure the tabloids did not put one and one together (even though no one in the public eye would ever guess the Bruce Wayne to be the Dark Knight) – but his mind was always on you.
And perhaps it was a good thing because Gotham seemed to be flourishing. Crime rates had gone down, and people walked a bit more safely at night. It was a breath of fresh air, knowing that Gotham could be transformed like that. Besides, Bruce did not want to worry you. Worry and stress were terrible for the baby, so he promised he’d do his best to give you none.
So far, it had worked, and your relationship had never been better.
Speaking of the devil, Bruce walked inside the living room, loosening the knot on his tie. His face looked tired, and sported a frown, something that you picked up on almost immediately.
“Good afternoon, handsome.” You smiled at him, and could see the way his shoulders visibly relaxed, how his feet moved towards you like second nature, the way his frown was quickly replaced by a smile.
“Good afternoon, beautiful.” Bruce sat by your feet and took your hands in his, as he usually did. He bent over to kiss you tenderly and place a quick peck on top of your belly before asking, “How’s our little peanut doing?” He rubbed soothing circles on your skin, and you melted into his touch, as you often did.
“Very active, as always. Hasn’t stopped kicking and won’t let me walk two steps without expressing its discontentment.” You huffed, before realising the words that had just left your lips. “But I’m fine,” you were quick to add, “Extremely fine, and we can totally still go for a walk in the park. It’s fine. I’m fine. Honest.”
Bruce eyed you curiously, and you recognised in his eyes the look he always gave you when he was trying to read you. Right now, you assumed he was trying to figure out whether you meant it or not.
“I swear. I’m fine. He’s just active. Come on, help me up. Let’s go.”
“Darling, are you sure?” he asked, lovely brown eyes filled with so much concern it made your stomach churn a bit. You hated seeing him like this. You knew it wasn’t your fault though – neither was it his. He was just a good husband. “If you’re tired, we can stay in. Watch a movie, order some takeout maybe – “
“Bruce, I promise,” you repeated, cupping his jaw. “He’s just active. Takes after his father.”
“Whoever that may be,” he joked, earning a chuckle from you.
“Now, help me up. I’m huge and want to go for a stroll with my husband.”
“Yes ma’am.”
Bruce helped you stand up and wrapped his arms around you. He brought you close and kissed you properly this time, lips trailing over yours as his tongue explored your mouth. Your hands came up to cup his cheeks and you smiled into the kiss, sighing in delight.
“Are you trying to distract me, Mr. Wayne?” you asked, peeking through your lashes.
“Maybe. Is it working?” he replied.
“Maybe. But not entirely. Come on. The weather is really nice today, and I really don’t wanna miss it. I’m going to get extremely upset with you if you kiss me out of going for a stroll. And you won’t like me when you’re mad.”
“I already don’t,” Bruce gave you one last peck and took you by the hand, leading you to the garage.
Tumblr media
Bruce had to admit, the weather was nice.
The sun was shining, but it wasn’t too hot to scald either of you. Birds were singing (something he had never heard before in Gotham), and flowers were in bloom. It was the perfect afternoon, and he was extremely glad he’d taken it off to be with you.
Speaking of you, you sat next to him, eating strawberries, and admiring the view in front of you. You loved this park – it was where you’d first met Bruce – and came here often, relishing in the pretty scenery and the calmness of it all. Gotham could be bustling with energy and light and noise, and while you’d come to grow fond of it (after all, it was home), you also appreciated those moments of quiet you managed to steal whenever you could.
“What about Benjamin?” you asked, turning to him. You were as radiant as ever, the light of the sun bathing your face in an ethereal glow. Bruce was sure that if angels existed, this is what they would look like. He caught sight of some strawberry juice dripping down your chin and collected it his finger, taking it to his mouth afterwards to lick it clean.
You wrinkled your nose.
“That’s disgusting.”
“Oh now, is it?” Bruce asked, feigning innocence. “Because I’m pretty sure last night, you asked me to – “
“What about Benjamin?” you repeated. Only this time, slightly louder, and with heat spreading across your cheeks.
Bruce chuckled and moved closer to you so he could steal a kiss. You tasted like strawberries and love, and he wanted to freeze this moment forever.
“Benjamin.” He repeated once he pulled away for breath, lips inches away from yours.
“It’s sweet. We could call him Ben.” You said with a soft smile.
“Benjamin when we’re angry.”
“Bruce!”
“You’re going to have my child; do you seriously expect him to be an angel?” He asked with a quirked brow.
“Ah, so now it’s your child.”
“It’ll be yours every time he gets in trouble.”
“With a father like you, I wonder if there’s ever going to be a time where he doesn’t.”
The two of you laughed and Bruce swore his heart was going to burst from all the love he felt. For a long time, he’d led a mostly lonely life, going to parties, and pretending to be a womanizer, a new model or actress on his arm whenever his photo was taken. It was sad, but necessary if he wanted to keep his Batman persona a secret. Only Alfred was allowed in, seeing as Bruce had no living relatives or any close family. He had Rachel, of course, but they didn’t speak as much as they used to, seeing as she was now engaged to Harvey Dent.
And then you came along.
And his lonely, monochrome life was turned upside down and splashed with colour.
Events and galas were now much more enjoyable because he had you by his side to talk to, kiss whenever no one was looking and make fun of all the high society extravagances he did not associate himself with. No longer did he wake up to silky white empty sheets, but a lovely woman who snuggled close and kissed his jaw and made him giggle and laugh and feel loved. So very loved.
“Anyway, I’m not sure I like Benjamin,” he said, tugging a lock of hair behind your ear and taking the opportunity to run his fingers through your radiant face. Up close, he could see the details of your face, the way your lashes framed your pretty eyes, how they sparkled in the sun. You were the loveliest woman he had ever laid eyes upon. “Any other ideas?”
“Theodore? We can call him Theo.”
“Theodore?”
“Nathaniel. Nathan.”
“I am going to divorce you.”
“All it took was bad baby names? Crap, I would’ve done this way sooner if I knew that’s how I got to get rid of you.”
He snorted and stole another kiss, cupping your cheek with his palm. You were man and wife, but most importantly you were friends. You were his best friend, his greatest confidante and partner in crime. There was no awkwardness between the two of you, never had been beside that small nervous feeling on your tummy during the first few dates. After that, you both became inseparable, and all nervousness was out the window. That’s why you could joke around so much – you trusted each other.
But of course, these were all jokes. Bruce worshiped the ground you walked on, and you loved him more than your own life. No matter how many jokes you cracked about situations like this, you were deeply in love with each other. At first, Bruce was a bit unsure about the jokes. He was afraid that deep down, you would mean any of the things you told him. But after a lot of reassuring, he realised it was simply your friendship blossoming even more. You were still friends. Only now, you were married.
After a while of kissing and stealing a taste of the strawberries you’d been eating earlier, he pulled away and smiled.
“Actually…” you started, “I’ve been thinking.”
“Scary stuff.”
You chuckled.
“About a name.”
“Doesn’t make it less scary.”
You pushed him jokingly and he kissed you once more, swiping his tongue over your lower lip and earning a sigh from you.
“I wanted to run it through you first.”
“Alright, hit me with your best shot.”
You took a deep breath and nodded once, before turning to face him again.
“Thomas.”
It took a while for Bruce to react. Thomas. You were thinking about naming your son Thomas. Like his father. He felt a flurry of emotions surge within him. First, he felt melancholy at the reminder that his father wouldn’t be here to watch his grandson grow. Nor would his mother. After that, he felt hurt. His son would grow up without a regular family. And then, all of the pleasant and positive emotions settled into his chest and he found himself smiling. He felt gratitude for you. He was so grateful to have you by his side. And then he felt happiness. Pure, sheer, raw happiness. He was so happy to be your husband. So lucky. So grateful.
“Thomas.” He repeated.
“Thomas. Tom.”
“Tommy.”
“Little Tommy Wayne.”
“Thomas Wayne.”
“Junior.”
“Junior?”
“Yeah, I mean,” you gesticulated, “After your father. Junior. Is that not how it works?”
“I think I would have to be Thomas in order for our son to be Junior.”
“Really? I thought you just added that to whoever. Thomas the second, then.”
“We’re not naming our son Thomas the second.” Bruce scoffed.
“Technically, he’ll be Thomas the second, you know.”
Bruce laughed again, and you smiled. How you loved seeing your husband smile. It made you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Bruce was a beautiful person. Not just a beautiful man. A beautiful person. He was kind and caring, and extremely funny, and even though no one else in Gotham knew, he risked himself nearly every night to keep Gotham City safe. He was perfect. And all you ever wanted was for him to be happy.
The day you told him you were pregnant, you were sure your heart was going to burst with joy at the sight of him. He hugged you tightly, kissed your breath away, opened the windows and screamed out loud that he was going to be a father, wept a little, kneeled in front of you and kissed your stomach – the whole shebang.
And it almost made you weep with joy, because if your beloved husband was happy, what else could you possibly want?
“I love it,” he murmured, and you could spot the vulnerability in his gaze. It made you melt. It made you feel special, because you knew you were one of the only two people who Bruce allowed himself to be vulnerable with. Made you love and treasure everything you’d built together even more. “Thank you. I think it’s beautiful. Thank you so much. You’re the best thing that has ever happened to me. Have I ever told you this?”
“You have. Doesn’t mean I don’t like hearing it, though,” you smiled and sat up straighter so you could take his jaw in your hand. He turned his face and softly kissed your palm, which sent butterflies flying in your stomach – or perhaps that’s just your son. “I love you too, Bruce. So much. And I love our little family. Even if we haven’t gotten to meet our little Tommy yet.”
“I love our family too,” Bruce replied, before stealing another kiss. “And I’m sure we’ll be immensely happy. I already am.”
“Me too.” Another one.
The two of you remained like that for a while, talking, smiling, giggling, and stealing strawberry kisses from each other (not that you needed to steal – you could take anything from Bruce, and he wouldn’t mind) and watching as the sun slowly set, bathing Gotham in soft twilight.
And you knew, as the breeze blew, and you sat next to the man you loved, that the world could throw just about anything your way. Unknowingly to you, he was thinking the exact same thing. And as you looked into each other’s eyes and smiled, you knew. You knew that as long as you were together, you would be fine.
Tumblr media
A/N: And that's it! I know the ending is super cheesy, but I just love happy and cheesy endings... They make me all warm and fuzzy inside, and Bruce definitely deserves one!!!
Alright!!! I'll see you guys on my next drabble!!!
I hope you have a wonderful day ahead!!! <3

stop, in the name of love |cop!eddie munson x reader|
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
prompt: based off my birth week writing challenge lol. I was just going to leave it for other authors, but I'm feeling self indulgent for now :)
requested: #20!!! With cop!eddie he’s trying to stop teens from hooking up but reader comes to the woods just for that reason!! please make him feel like a teen again 😭❤️❤️
thank you @ali-r3n for rbing my works so i could find this lol. you are an angel on this earth i love you <3
contains: 18+ MINORS DNI. cop!eddie, p in v sex, voyeurism, hopper catches them lol. fluff and good times with cop!eddie and his lil trouble maker.
Eddie huffed, arms crossed in the uncomfortable uniform, radar gun in his clenched fist. Hopper had stuck him out here- a punishment, no doubt, for the flop that was the D.A.R.E program he conducted at the middle school- leaving Eddie in the backwoods near Lover's Lake. After an influx of complaint calls about teenagers speeding through the area, and hooking up or drinking down by the waters or in the woods, Hopper decided to stick his best guy on the situation.
Eddie was furious.
Not only was it a slap in the face to be put on patrol of that area, usually only given to rookies, it was so fucking boring. He couldn't leave the area, contained to that spot for most of his shift, unless backup called. He couldn't drive around the city, taking all the nuisance calls, or even stopping by to see his friends and chat- stop by to see you. Oh no, here, he was quarantined to this small space.
The crunch of the gravel beside him had his ears perking, lifting the gun and sitting up in his seat, ready to bust a frisky teen. Instead, he saw the familiar, powder blue car pull up beside him- your car.
"Hi, there, Officer." You grinned, shutting the door to your car.
"Evenin' there, little lady." Eddie gave you a toothy grin, tone adapting to Wayne's southern-esqu drawl that always left you a little weak in the knees. He liked playing up the stereotypical cop, like Rosco in Dukes of Hazard, teasing and fun.
"Are you out here all alone tonight?" You asked tilting your head to the side. Eddie snorted, watching you push your upper body through his open window, upper half dangling inside the car. "No backup?"
"Not tonight." Eddie shook his head, giving you an exaggerated pout. "Just me out here by myself."
"Oh?" You quipped brow raising in surprise. "So no one out here to do this," You lunged at his utility belt, reaching for his baton, while Eddie's scrambled to halt your movements. Damn, you were quick.
"Easy, easy!" Eddie snapped, prying your hand off his baton. "What did I tell you about messing with my things, baby? Hopper's gonna kill me if he has to replace something else we've broken."
You giggled, folding your arms over the window. "'M just kidding." You hummed, batting your eyes up at him. "Just worried about you. Missed you."
"Missed you too, honey." Eddie's smile had you melting, an ooey-gooey feeling of warmth that was thick in your veins, leaving your head spinning. "I get off at eight."
"Yeah, but I got off at six." You pouted. "And that's so long to wait for you."
Eddie snorted, grinning and shaking his head. The curly tendrils, slipping out from his bun, sprung free, hitting his cheeks. Eddie reached for his aviators, revealing his brown eyes to you. "What're you up to, trouble?"
"Trouble?" You feigned hurt, an exaggerated gasp leaving your lungs. "I would never, Officer, I'm a well behaved, law abiding citizen."
Eddie laughed, loudly, making you smile. "Yeah, right." He scoffed at you. "What'd you come here for? To show your appreciation for all my hard work?"
Your lips twisted in thought. "Yeah, kinda." You nodded. "Came here to fuck you."
Eddie snorted, shaking his head at your bluntness. "I'm on the clock, baby."
"That's never stopped you, baby." You mocked him with a slight glare. "Please? You've been working the second shift all week. I barely get to see you."
Eddie pressed his lips together in thought, eyes flickering from the road back to you. You pressed your bottom lip out further. "Please? Just quick, I promise."
Eddie huffed, moving to pull the keys from the patrol car, that was the last thing he needed stolen. "Fine, but just really quick, alright." He pointed a finger at you. "I don't have long. Go around back."
You practically skipped to the back of the cop car, hidden behind the tall lights and the trees, nestled away from the road.
"Place your hands on the hood of the car." Eddie boomed, loud and authoritative, a tone he only used when arresting someone. You knew he was teasing, but fuck, did it make you throb.
You laid your hands flat over the trunk of the car, pressing your upper half forward. Eddie drooled, eyes trained on the little sundress you had on, catching in your cheeks as you moved. God, how he wanted to drop to his knees and devour you. He missed your taste so much, but not now wasn't the time. No, he'd contain himself for now and indulge later tonight.
Eddie bunched the material of your dress in his hands, shimmying it up your frame. He grinned wolfishly down at you, white knuckled grip on the material. "No panties?" He asked, tone lilting in teasing surprise.
"No, sir." You hummed, craning your neck so you could look over your shoulder at him. "I knew you'd want them off anyways." Your eyes batted at him.
"Bad girl." Eddie smirked, tongue rolling across his bottom lip. "Very, bad." He rasped to himself, eyes glued on your puffy lips, slick and peeking out from between your thighs.
Eddie gripped your cheeks, lifting them so he could reveal your pussy to him, the wet click! sound that your lips made when he pulled them apart made his abs clench, knees shaking.
"Spread 'em, baby." Eddie barked, a little raspier than he would someone he was really arresting, but he settled his black boots between your feet, pushing them so they slid open wider.
You whined, shuffling your feet apart with his, pressing yourself further into the hood of the car. Your ass was out, presented to him, drooling pussy and bare skin all for his taking. Eddie swallowed hard.
"You gotta be quiet, alright?" Eddie smirked, unzipping himself. He'd have to make this work, needed to be able to respond quickly if need be. "Can't get me caught when I'm supposed to be catching teenagers hooking up out here. How bad would that be?" Eddie chuckled, freeing his cock and pulling it through his zipper.
You giggled, airy and light, eyes already glossed with lust. Your hips wiggled in anticipation. "'M ready, Mr. Officer." You purred, feeling the tip of his fat head rub through your folds.
Eddie pushed into you, tight from the lack of foreplay. Normally, he'd work you open with his fingers, get you relaxed with a couple of orgasms before trying to fit himself in.
You groaned at the stretch, burning but your velvety walls clamped down on him, nonetheless. You groaned, low in your chest, vibrations rattling through you and onto the cop car. Eddie let out a straggled breath, hips flush to your ass, grinding into the fatty flesh there the way you liked.
Eddie pulled back, thrusting into you, deep and filling, leaving your eyes rolling back. "Oh!" You cried out, a straggled gasp leaving your lips.
Eddie started to move, long and slow thrusts that had you crying out. He pulled you up, hand cupping your jaw and moving you so your back was to his chest, his big hand covering your mouth. "Shh, baby, gotta-fuck- be quiet." Eddie hissed in your ear.
Your eyes rolled back, his head jabbing a spot deep inside of you at the new angle, a spot that was making you drench with every stroke, knees shaking. You moaned and whimpered against his hand, feeling his hot breath ghosting over your jaw and cheek, tiny grunts and huffs in your ear. You loved it when he'd moan so you could hear. You'd record it and play it on a loop if you could, hearing his tiny whines when he was close, breath hitching and catching, and his pitch rising.
"Fuck, baby, I-I'm close." Eddie grunted, jaw clenched as he tried to control himself. He was a little embarrassed to admit how easily he was coming undone, but fuck, it had been a while. And your pussy was enticing, felt like heaven with every clench of your wet walls strangling his cock.
You moaned against his hands, Eddie feeling you get a little heavier against him, slipping down him. He knew you were close. Using his free hand, Eddie slid his hand down your hip, snaking down between your legs, using two fingers to rub at your clit.
You cried out, still loud even with his hand muffling the sound, knees wobbling and locking a little, before you came, hard and unforgiving over Eddie's cock. You felt yourself fall against the truck of the car, the cool metal exterior pressing to your cheek, while Eddie jackhammered into you from behind chasing out his own high.
Eddie was so close, he could taste it. Abs clenched, toes curling, eyes rolling back, his cock punching your womb deeply, cock twitching deep inside you; so close.
The wail of a siren had him stopping, eyes snapping open and blurred vision clearing. He looked around seeing the familiar lights shine red and blue, jarring and unmistakable, while Hopper's car slowly crunched over the gravel.
"Shit, shit, shit, shit." Eddie was out of you in a second, scrambling to shove his cock back in his pants, turning away so he could try and pull himself together, with fumbling shaking hands.
You had pulled down your dress, hand smoothing over the mussed back of your head, while you stood rigidly to face Hopper.
"Well," Hopper sighed heavily, slamming the door to his car. "Guess I know why there's still a problem out here." He frowned at Eddie.
Eddie swallowed hard, brown eyes wide and alert, a deer caught in headlights. "Turns out my officer I sent to patrol is the horny bastard who keeps hooking up out here."
"Hop, I-"
"Save it, Munson." Hopper held up his hand, shaking his head. "I got a call about a disturbance down by Skull Rock, dispatch tried to get you and no response. Thought something had happened, so I came to check it out, and..." Hopper's eyes flashed from you to Eddie, before frowning deeply in disapproval. "I see now that you were busy."
You cringed, looking at Hopper with a round eyed, pleading look. "It really was my fault. I-I came here and-"
"I really don't need the details of that, thank you." Hopper said sarcastically, cutting you off with an eye roll.
"Munson, finish out your shift, then tomorrow, my office. First thing." Hopper barked, glaring at him.
"Alright, Hopper." Eddie grumbled, shoulders deflating at the threat.
Hopper scoffed, pulling his door open. "And you two stop fucking outdoors, alright? That's still against the law, and you should know better." He pointed at Eddie, thick brows furrowed and mean.
You watched Hopper drive away, nervously turning to Eddie. "Well, this is fucking great." Eddie scoffed. "I'm going to get written up and have to do fuckin' cross walk duty for a week, and I have blue balls still." He growled, hands motioning down towards his crotch.
You bit back a giggle, tucking your chin to hide your smile. Eddie's eyes flashed at your dangerously, dark and playful. "You think this is funny, huh? This is your fault, you little minx." He growled, teeth barring at you.
"I'm sorry, really." You smirked at him. "I was just trying to help you out."
"Yeah? Well, just you wait baby." Eddie pointed a finger at you, stepping closer to close in the space between the two of you. His eyes were dark, still lust blown from earlier, a little meaning when they peered at you down the slop of his nose. "You're in for it when I get home."
You giggled with excitement, his arms wrapping around you, teeth nipping at your bottom lip in a playful bite that had you squealing. A car whizzed by, blaring loud music and heading towards the lake. The teenagers from the complaint, no doubt.
Eddie sighed, resting his forehead against yours for a moment. "Duty calls, Officer." You grinned cheekily.
"Yeah, can't wait." Eddie huffed, heavy boots stomping towards the car. "See you when I get home?"
You nodded. "I'll be waiting on you." You batted your eyes up at him.
Eddie grinned. "Good. Get ready for me. Wear that little lacy thing I like, alright?" He winked at you, ducking back into the patrol car. "Stay outta trouble until then, you hear?" He threw out at you playfully.
You laughed, opening your own car door. "I'll try. No promises." You jested, shrugging with a wide grin.
Eddie smirked, flicking on his lights and peeling out towards the lake. You watched him drive away, legs still a little shaky from before, pressing together at the thought of what awaited when he got home.

how are you even alive?
for @steddielovemonth prompt ‘love is watching them do stupid things’
rated t | 1,351 words | cw: minor injury, suggestive language | tags: established relationship, hurt/comfort, the hurt is Steve being stubborn, the comfort is Eddie loving him even though he should accept help
♥️❤️♥️❤️♥️❤️♥️❤️♥️❤️♥️❤️♥️
Twice a year, Steve deep cleaned the house.
Eddie had never witnessed anything like it before.
It’s not that he and Wayne were slobs, but they just did what was necessary, never spending an entire week going over a checklist a mile long to cover every inch of their house.
Steve did.
He said that when he was young, his parents hired people to do it and he was always fascinated with the way the house smelled so fresh for weeks after. He loved watching something go from dusty to shiny, loved seeing the way the windows glistened without any fingerprints from him.
And as he got older, his parents stopped hiring people and just expected it to get done, so he did. And he loved it.
Eddie couldn’t understand it, but he did love the way Steve’s eyes lit up when they got to his cleaning weeks in March and September. He’d plan it all out on a notepad by room, made a list of cleaning supplies he needed, and put stars next to things Eddie would have to help him with.
There were few stars, thankfully.
Eddie didn’t really mind helping. It was his home, too, and any time spent with Steve was time well spent. But the bleach sometimes bothered his sinuses and he’d end up coughing and sneezing for two days after.
He checked the lists now and noticed his name was only on three things:
Flip mattresses
Gutter cleaning (hold ladder and refill pressure washer)
Bookshelves (remove all books, dust, put books back)
He fist pumped once at the realization that he got off easy this time, much easier than he’d been expecting.
Actually, he almost always was enlisted to help with holding the ladder when Steve dusted the-
A bang interrupted his thoughts and he ran without even thinking what it could be.
He walked into the kitchen to see Steve on their ladder, some kind of homemade cleaning solution in a spray bottle in one hand and a washcloth in the other.
“What was that noise?” Eddie asked, crossing his arms over his chest as he watched Steve reach as far as he could without falling off the ladder. He’d probably land on his feet from that height and be fine, but it wouldn’t exactly feel great.
“Dropped the other bottle I had hanging on my belt. It’s fine, just furniture polish. I can get it when I’m done dusting,” Steve was busy, barely even glanced back at Eddie as he answered.
“Why didn’t you tell me you needed a supervisor?” Eddie found the furniture polish and set it on the counter, watching as Steve furiously rubbed at the top of the cabinets.
“I don’t. But gutter cleaning is tomorrow and I’ll need one then.”
“Steve…”
“Don’t Steve me. I’m fine! I’m already halfway done.”
Eddie rolled his eyes and stepped away, not wanting to argue with Steve when he was at his happiest.
“Can you put the radio on please, baby? I forgot to before I climbed up here.”
Eddie went over to the radio on the kitchen table and turned it on, surprised to find it tuned to the rock station instead of the hits station.
“Well color me shocked! Were you listening to,” he gasped and held his chest. “Rock?”
“Yes, I was. But if you’re gonna make a big deal about it then change it to the hits,” Steves eye roll was almost audible.
“No, no. Let’s listen to Def Leppard, sweetheart. It’s been my dream for one whole minute to check out your ass while listening to Pour Some Sugar On Me.”
Steve snorted, but continued his work.
Eddie continued watching.
And then Steve wobbled a little. He caught himself, but Eddie stood up straighter.
He wobbles more and Eddie started to move towards the ladder to hold it steady.
But it was too late.
Steve was already falling.
He landed on his ass with a yelp and a groan, the washcloth and bottle flying across the floor.
“Shit, Stevie, you okay?” Eddie crouched down next to him, hands cupping his cheeks as he looked him over.
“Yeah. Just twisted my ankle a little when I tried to catch myself,” Steve gestured down at his ankle. “Might need to ice it before I clean more.”
“Maybe you should rest so it doesn’t swell.” Eddie rolled the sweatpants he was wearing up and saw the way it was already swelling. “Okay, you have no choice but to rest since it’s swelling.”
“Fuck me.”
“I can do that after we ice it,” Eddie said as he gently moved his ankle left and right to see if it was broken.
Steve snorted. “Of course this would happen the first day of my spring cleaning.”
“Maybe if you’d let me supervise earlier…”
“I never lose my balance on the ladder! I thought I’d be fine.”
“Steve, you remember how last year when you were cleaning the pool you insisted the water wouldn’t overfill because of the filters?” Eddie smirked. “And then 6 hours later we were trying to rescue your pool chairs from floating away?”
“That isn’t the same!”
“And then when we first moved in and you insisted you could paint the ceiling yourself and you insisted on handpainting instead of a roller because it wouldn't be even to you and then you dripped paint everywhere and we had to get new carpet? Remember how you ended up breaking your finger because you insisted on rolling the carpet yourself?"
"Okay, that was just bad luck."
"And when you put out the Christmas decorations last year while I was helping Wayne with his truck and I came home to you stuck on the roof?"
"Listen, I am almost 100% sure one of the neighbor kids knocked the ladder over. There was no other way!"
Eddie kissed Steve's forehead. "I'm not sure how you're even alive. You're asking for an accident to happen."
"Weren't you supposed to be getting me ice?" Steve pouted.
Eddie leaned in and nipped at his bottom lip. "You want help getting to the couch first?"
"Nope. It's cleaning week. 20 minutes with an ice pack and then I'm back to dusting."
Eddie shook his head. "You're ridiculous. We'll ice it for 20 and then you're gonna rest for at least an hour so we know if we need to wrap it and keep weight off of it."
"I'm fine, Eds."
"Humor me, sweetheart."
It's a damn good thing Steve did because an hour and a half later, they were on their way to the emergency room for x-rays.
As the doctor told them both that Steve seemed to have fractured a small bone in his ankle, Eddie did his best not to look too smug.
"It won't require a cast or boot, but I do recommend ice every couple of hours and staying off of it as much as possible for the next week or so. If anything starts to hurt worse, come back for a boot."
"Thanks, doc." Eddie waited until the doctor left the room to turn to Steve. "How about next time you want to dust above the fridge and the top of the cabinets, you let me be there to catch you?"
"Yeah, yeah. Fine."
Eddie kissed his lips softly, barely brushed them just in case someone decided to walk in again. "You want me to stop on the way home to get some more pain meds?"
"Please."
"You hurtin'?"
"A little."
"You want me to take your mind off it?" Eddie wiggled his brows suggestively. "I can keep your ankle elevated, even."
"We'll see when we get home. But you know what?"
"What?"
"Someone has to do the cleaning, baby. Since I can't, looks like you've got a checklist to get to."
"Or we could just put off the cleaning until your ankle heals."
Steve shook his head. "No, I think you can handle it. I'll supervise."
"You're lucky you're so pretty," Eddie groaned.
"Don't forget I'm also very good at sucking your-"
"Yeah, yeah. Okay. Let's go before you get us discriminated against."

hi, ziggy! ahhh i missed hih ❤️ could you pretty please do something for jealous!eddie where maybe somebody flirts with tooty because she got that milf glow after she had the babies lmao ily ❤️
anon💕💕 thank you for the req! this took a little spin and has an open ending, but!!! the twins are in this and some other familiar faces ❤️ might get a part 2? who knows!
Tumblr media
a night out without the kids. almost an unheard of event. but tonight corroded coffin were performing their annual concert the night before halloween.
sissy & oz toted their overnight bags up the paved sidewalk to grandma and grandpa’s house— the same house you had once called home when the wheeler’s took you in as a teen.
reaching the front door eddie squats to eye level with the twin three year olds. “okay you two,” he says in his fatherly tone, “last time you stayed the night grandpa said you terrorized the cat.”
“i no do it daddy,” sissy speaks her little voice high pitched and tattling, “ows chaseded hims.”
a frown spreads on her brothers face his brown eyes pleading, “i did not! sissy made tinky swim in the potty!”
eddie bites his lip to hide a laugh and you take a deep breath, “that’s another thing, the cat’s name is bruce, not stinky.”
“but mama,” sissy complains, head held high in a defiant pose— one eddie recognizes as a mini version of his wife, “boose 's hard to say.”
eddie ruffles her hair and stands up, talking out of the side of his mouth, “always arguing like someone else i know,”
his large hand slides down the curve of your ass pinching the leather fabric snug on your skin, giving it a tight little squeeze.
“eddie!” you scold, swatting his hand away, “not in front of the babies.”
he grabs your waist and pulls you back into him before you can rap your knuckles on the front door. his mouth is hot in your ear, “sorry mama,” he purrs, dancing his tongue on the shell of your ear, “you just look so fucking hot tonight.”
sissy and oz are both slapping the door with both palms as it swings inward. “who’s makin’ all that racket?!”
“gwampa! it’s us!”
“issy and ows!”
wayne smiles as big as he always did when his grandbabies visited, “are you sure y’all ain’t no robbers are ya?”
“gwampa’s silly, daddy!” oz squeaks, squeezing wayne tight around his leg.
eddie grins and chuckles, “aww nah buddy that word is ‘senile’”
you smack eddie in the chest and usher the kids inside to play with their cousin, alex. “thanks for watching them tonight, we really appreciate it,” you say to wayne reaching through the threshold and giving him a hug.
“ah, ain’t no problem,” wayne says flipping eddie the bird behind your back, “karen and i love these little turds.”
“u too oh two be good for grandpa and grandma okay? eddie hollers, “be nice to the cat, sissy… i’m talkin’ to you.”
her little nose wrinkles into a pout and her brows furrow together.
“swear to christ himself, that kid is the spittin’ image of you, tooty.”
“god help me.” eddie pouts, “i’m gonna go gray before i’m forty.”
you kiss the kids goodbye and wave from the windows of your jeep before heading to the hideout. eddie looked particularly good tonight, leather pants, a cut off shirt, he even let you smear some eyeliner on his eyelids before tonight’s gig.
“nervous?” you ask, carrying some cords from eddie’s old van that now belonged to big d.
gareth walks past you with an amp, “not really, the hideouts like home away from home, makes me feel 18 again.”
you smile and ruffle his still thick curls, “will coming tonight?”
a sad look replaces his smile, “haven’t talked to him in a week… last i heard from jonathan he was staying with joyce and hopper.”
“he’ll come around man,” eddie says coming through the back door, “he loves you.”
“yeah, i hope.”
the boys— men now— rocked a killer show, fans still screaming for the band even though half of them were married and the lead singer had two kids.
you were front in center, in your designated spot that you always stood after the first show where eddie sang ‘lady evil’ just for you.
now you were sporting a new homemade shirt, ‘sitter’ crossed out with ‘mama’ his old leather jacket on your shoulders.
a hand sits on your lower back you giggle, “jeez nance, how drunk are you?”
only it wasn’t nancy, but a random guy. burly and tall, a thick beard on his face matching the short hair on his head, balancing a cowboy. you didn’t recognize him from anywhere and you pull back with a shocked face,
he smiles and you can smell liquor on his breath as he leans in real close, “been watchin’ you all night little darlin’ looks like you need a drink.”
you scowl and turn away from him, looking for jonathan and nancy but they’re nowhere to be found.
“hey,” he blunders stumbling towards you, “you like cowboys?”
you don’t want to give him the time of day or even the satisfaction of a tasteful retort so you do your best to ignore him, looking at eddie as he turns to thrash the guitar riff with jeff.
eddie turns back around to continue the song and shoots you a wink, the same time a big sloppy pair of lips press on your cheek, hard and unwelcoming.
you didn’t see eddie’s eyes turn to black or the way he dropped the neck of his guitar hands balled into fist, you were seeing your own scarlet red, turning and slapping the face of the drunk asphalt “cowboy”.
eddie cuts the band and grabs the mic, “hey fucker!” he pushes his lips in a smooch and whistles like a dog, “here boy, up here.. yeah you— the guy who just got slapped.”
cowboy slap face looked up to the band, “what?”
“you must be new to town, huh? a drifter maybe?”
he lifts his head and spits on the ground, “what’s it to you?”
eddie laughs a little crazy-like, “… that,” he says pointing to you, “is my wife… and i’m sure you don’t know this or maybe your marbles are a little rattled up there with the cobwebs, but..” he jumps from the stage in a dramatic flare, wet hair bouncing behind him, skin slicked in sweat.
he tossing the mic behind him, standing tall and flicking the brim of the guys hat, toe to toe. “i’m not afraid to kill a man.”
“you’re bluffin’,”
“wouldn’t be my first, and for her,” he says moving you behind him, “won’t be my last,”

“I’m sorry???” Eddie croaked out over the phone, and your teeth dug into your lip to fight a smile off.
“It’s innocent, Eds. They’re just seeing a movie together,” You mused and briefly placed the phone against your chest to listen for any cries throughout the house. Quiet. The baby was still asleep, thank god. You’d already raised two kids out of their baby phase of life, but this one was giving you and your husband a run for your money. Colic and Eddie’s genetics (dramatics) made for one hell of a Velcro Baby. Maple always had to be attached to one of her parents, or she was crying bloody murder and since Eddie was away for the next two days, it was you she needed to be on. You’d managed to sneak her successfully into her crib when she fell asleep—usually her big brown eyes flew open the second you bent over to lower her in since you were only ever allowed to be standing when holding Maple, per her demands—just before Eddie called (and you’d dove to stop that phone from ringing). He wasn’t impressed with your plans for the rest of the day, “I’ll be in the row behind her, with a baby hidden under my shirt and attached to my nipple, and Wayne if he doesn’t want to hang out with big Wayne. Don’t be dramatic.”
Eddie scoffed so you rolled your eyes.
“Don’t roll your eyes at me, young lady.” Your back straightened from your lean on the counter, eyes scanning the living room for the camera he had to have hidden as he kept talking, “What are you gonna do when this punk puts the moves on my baby girl, huh?”
“They’re ten years-old, Eddie. They’re gonna be sweating in their seats, I hardly doubt they’ll even hold hands.”
Eddie still didn’t like that. Really, there was no reason for Penny and whatever this kid’s name was to even be going to the movies. He’s sure the punk had a TV at home, and Penny had access to one, so they could just watch something separately in different homes, as in not together, and talk about it at school. Or not talk about it all. Not talk to each other at all. Yeah, Eddie liked that.
“Tell her she can’t go.” He demanded, shooting a glare at the PA staring at him, eagerly waiting for him to get off the phone so he could usher him to his next interview. The hostility in his gaze was enough to make that very PA poof, disappeared into thin air.
  “I’m not telling her that.”
“Fine, I’ll do it. Put her on the phone.” You didn’t bother hiding your smile anymore, grinning at his antics. He was such a dad and you loved it. Especially because you knew—what with him currently in New York—Penny would be at the movies with her little crush (and you, possibly your son, and your baby) whether Eddie liked it or not.
You called for Penny down the hallway and you could hear her galloping down after your voice.
“What?” She squawked out once she came to a halt at your side and like every other time she voiced that word in her flat tone with a hint of annoyance sprinkled in, you were reminded of the times your mother would reprimand you for being just as irritating.
You lulled your wrist forward, tipping the phone to her as you raised a challenging brow, “Your dad wants to talk to you.”
She quickly took the phone, holding it against the side of her head, hand pushing her hair out of her face before scratching her chin “Hi, daddy.”
“Hi, sweet pea.” You could hear him croon and you shook your head in amusement. He was so fake. “What’cha up to today?”
”Nothing. OOH, Uncle Lucas patched my bike for me!” She recalled, thinking back to when the Uncle in question had followed through on his promise to repair her flat bicycle wheel before catching his flight back to Chicago in time for his practice. Penny would be watching his basketball game on TV tonight, after the movie. She cheered as loud as she could for him, but sometimes she cheered for his other teammate, Michael Jordan, too. All the time. She cheered for Michael all the time.
“Of course he did, just had to steal my thunder. Mom says you’re gonna watch his game tonight.”
“Yeah, here at home since you can’t take us. . .”
“I said I’m sorry! I’ll take you to the Finals.”
“If they win.” Penny mumbled and they both went silent before bursting out laughing. The Bulls wouldn’t be losing tonight.
“Is that all you’re doing?” He asked, voice honey and sugar once he’d stopped laughing.
  “Pretty sure.”
“Pretty sure? As in, not entirely positive?” Eddie’s voice broke as it went high and he cleared his throat, “Nothing you’re intentionally leaving out?”
  “Nuh-uh.”
“What about your LITTLE DATE?! Penny, you’re too young, baby. What have we been talking about for years now, huh? Thought we agreed you’d wait until a couple of years into a marriage before you could start dating. You pinky swore. Wouldn’t you rather me go? You know how Maple is—do you want a baby crying in the background when you recall your first date for the rest of your life? And really, your mom is gonna be chaperoning, don't you wanna wait until I get back? What if this kid is one of those punks that tease you about your mom being hot? Wouldn’t you much rather have your cool, rockstar dad, instead of your hot mom, sitting menacingly—I mean—hold on don’t hang up, I meant ‘measuredly’—”
Penny’s eyes flashed over to you in a ‘can you believe this?’ manner as you heard your husband blabber on like some grown up in Peanut’ s Special and she rolled her eyes. Eddie must have mumbled something else because you saw her stand up straight and glance around the house with a pout before she mumbled back into the receiver, “I didn’t roll my eyes. . .”

❤️
Eddie Munson was the sexiest man you had ever met.
He was also the most unattainable, your little crush on him was kept under wraps for most part.
You were the nanny to the sweet boy he had adopted three years ago called Kit and for the first year of your employment Eddie was married.
The marriage was... It was unhappy and hanging on by a thread, it was like Eddie and Ivy barely knew much about each other at all.
Turns out that a three-month relationship and a drunk elopement in Vegas summed up the length of the two of them being together.
When you heard the two of them argue, Eddie trying his best to hide it but Ivy wanting everyone to hear their fights) you would distract Kit, a trip to the park, the zoo or painting in the garden.
You didn't like Ivy one bit, she was rude and demeaning to you if Eddie wasn't around, and threatened to fire you if you talked back or told Eddie.
She called you names and treated Kit like he was an afterthought, knew all about your crush on Eddie and told you he would never date you in a million years. You hated the woman.
Fortunately, Eddie's friend Nancy and her husband Steve had no qualms about informing Eddie what a bitch Ivy was.
For the most part you were strictly professional with Eddie but it was getting harder to maintain that professionalism.
Especially when he started giving signs that he was enamoured with you too.
His divorce from his wife was raging on in the background but it was hard to notice when Eddie gave you long lingering stares, touches that went on for longer than usual.
Even before the divorce, he was gentle and sweet with you, always making sure you were okay, his big brown eyes full of concern.
He was protective of you, when Ivy's barbs had gotten to you badly one time you had decided to date to try and forget Eddie.
For some reason, Eddie disliked your date Tom from the minute they met. His overprotectiveness went into overdrive and he was always super tense when Tom was around.
He wasn't jealous, that was wishful thinking you told yourself, however, you were starting to rethink that.
There was tension in the air that grew stronger and stronger every day and over three weeks ago, it had exploded into a night of mind-blowing sex.
Eddie made the first move and it was the incredible.
Since then the two of you would steal time together, moments in the shower, Eddie sneaking you into his bedroom at night, long hours together if Kit was with Wayne or Steve and Nancy.
Sometimes you would spend hours talking and you found yourself falling even deeper for him, he was soft with you, tender at times and it made you wonder if he felt the same.
He opened up to you about his relationship with Ivy, how it was fine at first but like most of his relationships there was little emotional connections or feelings and it made him feel empty.
The marriage was a drunken mistake but Ivy would blackmail her way into Eddie staying with her.
The divorce finally happening was cathartic for him.
Even though the nights you spent with Eddie were amazing it was little moments, talking all night, learning about each other more, hanging out together with Kit in tow that you enjoyed so much.
It's those nights when you fell even deeper for Eddie.
❤️
Kit was excited, he was happily telling you all about him and Uncle Wayne's big plans for their weekend together.
"Uncle Wayne, says we can have popcorn, hot chocolate and a movie night" He's delighted at this.
When Wayne comes to pick him up he's excitedly talking about which movies they can watch.
Wayne gives you a big smile as Kit rushes over to hug you goodbye and then hurries over to Eddie.
"Daddy, can I take my guitar?" the guitar was a little thing and pride and joy of Kit, he was like his daddy with how much he loved his guitar.
Watching them play together, Eddie patiently teaching his boy how to play was the sweetest thing you had ever seen.
When Kit and Wayne leave it's just you and Eddie and he wastes no time pulling you into his arms and kissing you.
"Fuck, I've been waiting all day to do this" he moans and trails his lips over to your neck.
The worries that you've been feeling fade away as you unbutton his shirt, hands trailing over his lean, muscular arms, his tattoos.
With one more kiss, he takes your hand and leads you upstairs.
❤️
The divorce had been finalised and Ivy had let her self over to the house to pick up the rest of her things.
Seeing her wasn't exactly the highlight of your day but you just wanted to get this over with.
Eddie was at work and you were busy writing for the paper you worked for in your downtime, so you hoped this was over quickly.
The pinched look on her face and sneer was enough to cause the bits of self esteem you built to plummet to the ground.
"Where's the brat?" she snaps and you glare at her, god you despised this woman.
"Kit isn't a brat. He's a wonderful little boy and I pity you that you can't see that. He's napping just now, so keep your voice down"
Ivy smirks. "Aww is the hired help giving orders now? You think you're some big shot because Eddie is fucking you?" she points to the hickey on your neck that your concealer didn't quite cover up.
"Why don't you get your stuff and get out of here" you suggest annoyed.
"Don't worry, I don't want to spend one more second in here. Just telling you a few home truths since your too naive to see it. You're just a convenient fuck to Eddie darling, I mean fucking the nanny? Cliche much?"
The words hurt but you try not to let it show, Ivy is like a shark when it senses blood and she goes in for the kill.
"You're a stupid girl, you think you mean anything more to Eddie? That he won't want to do better? Does he show you off to everyone? Does anyone know about you? No. Because he's embarrassed sweetie. You're a dirty little secret"
Ivy picks up her bag with a smirk on her face.
"Can't tell you how glad I am to get out of this mess" she says as she leaves and you shut the door fuming but with a sinking feeling that she's right.
❤️
You're quiet, too quiet over dinner and Eddie notices this. He also notices when you retire to bed early and barely look his way.
Hiding the fact that you're heartbroken is hard, hiding the fact that you cried yourself to sleep over Ivy's mostly accurate description of you and Eddie is even harder.
You felt like an idiot for hoping Eddie might fall in love with you too and you knew you deserved better than being a dirty little secret.
It's hard to avoid Eddie though because once he's home from work and Kit is in bed avoiding him is impossible.
Hearing him read to Kit, doing different voices and acting out scenes makes you smile. The two of them completely own your heart, you love watching them together.
The ache in your heart grows and you startle out of your thoughts as Eddie comes out of Kit's room.
"You've been avoiding me, sweetheart?" Eddie murmurs and it actually sounds like he's pained by this.
"Why does it bother you? We're just sex, aren't we? You're embarrassed by us and that's why we hide this because it doesn't mean anything to you" you murmur.
Eddie's eyes widen. "Where the hell is this coming from?" you shrug.
"Doesn't matter. It's true isn't it?" Before he can say anything else, Kit asks for some water and you rush downstairs to get him some.
Avoiding the inevitable of Eddie telling you he doesn't feel the same.
❤️❤️
Turns out though that Eddie doesn't want to leave it like that and once you've got Kit water and wished him goodnight, Eddie asks you speak to you.
"Hey, what's going on princess? You've been distant. Just tell me what's wrong please?" your lip wobbles as you remember Ivy's words.
"Ivy came around yesterday to collect her stuff. She was her usual wonderful self, said some things"
Eddie strokes your cheek tenderly, his eyes flashing.
"What things baby?" you rattle off the list of what she said and Eddie grows more and more irate.
"I'm so in love with you sweetheart. How do you not see that? I love you so much, I want my life to be with you" tears roll down your cheeks.
"Ivy said... what she said made me upset, put all those ideas in my head" Eddie swears.
"Bitch, fucking good riddance to her" he growls and gently kisses your forehead.
"She doesn't know anything, I love you, I adore you and in no way am I embarrassed by you. You're warm, funny, sweet, and beautiful. I'm so lucky, Kit and I are so lucky to have you in our life"
The anxiety eases and he sighs contentedly as you kiss.
"And really? You think no one knows? Why do you think Nancy, Steve and Uncle Wayne offer to babysit so much? They adore you. Let's go out to dinner tomorrow yeah? Me, you and Kit, as a family"
A family you beam and he kisses you again.

Forget-me-not - Eddie Munson x Reader
Forget-me-not (Myosotis) - Meaning: Don't forget me, remembrance
Summary: Reader visits Eddie's grave. Little does she know what awaits her there.
Pairing: Eddie Munson x Reader
Word Count: 958
Warnings: Drug use (reader smokes weed), ANGST (with a happy-ish ending), dead!Eddie, Reader was part of ST4 events, cemetery setting, Vampire!Eddie, blood
Day 17 is another angsty one but I think it ends on a positive note. I love Eddie, and I fully believe the Cas storyline is what we'll see in season 5 cuz there's no freakin way I will just forget about this sweet metalhead, you hear me Duffers??

You held your breath for as long as you could, feeling the smoke invade your lungs before sputtering it loose. The smoke filled the inside of your shitty beater car. You knew you’d reek of it for the rest of the day but you didn’t care.
You hadn’t cared about much for the last few months. Not since Eddie died.
Taking another hit, you glanced over at your passenger seat. A bundle of fresh cut flowers — white daisies, the flowers Eddie had brought you on your first date because he heard they were your favorite. A pang of sadness hit you right in the gut, like a punch and you blew out the smoke, feeling the calming effect of the weed.
You’d only been here a few times since the funeral. It was difficult to bring yourself here, to stand where his uncle had buried an empty coffin and pretend Eddie was down there instead of stuck in the hellish landscape that was the Upside-Down.
God, everything was so fucked up.
The whole town was convinced he was a bloodthirsty maniac who deserved what he got. Only you, Wayne, and Hellfire club knew him for what he’d been. A sweet, brave, incredible guy who lived in his imagination because reality was difficult.
He’d called you ‘princess’ and ‘love’ and drove you to and from school every day in his van, holding your hand the whole way there. He planted kisses on your cheeks when you passed in the halls and wrote you little love notes that he snuck between the pages of your notebook or textbooks so you’d find them later.
He’d been so gentle when he took your virginity (after having listened to your long-winded feminist rant about how virginity was a “bullshit patriarchal concept”). Every touch and sigh and moan etched on your memory forever. Afterward, he cleaned you up and wrapped you in his lanky arms and told you he loved you for the first time, his big doe eyes shining in the dim light of his room.
You’d been so incredibly, irrevocably in love with him. And he was gone.
If you didn’t get out of the car now, you never would, so you stubbed out your blunt and grabbed the flowers and got out. The cemetery was quiet, despite being next to a busy highway. It was early evening, the sun hanging low in the sky and casting everything in an orange glow. Walking through the rows and rows of headstones until you found the familiar name.
‘Edward Munson’
‘Now at Peace’
Except that wasn’t the truth. His body was rotting in another dimension, probably torn to shreds and completely unrecognizable by now.
“Hey, love,” you said to the chunk of granite. “I brought daisies.” You crouched, laying the bouquet in front of the headstone before plucking out a few longer blades of grass that threatened to obscure his name.
You sat down in front of it, not really sure what to do. Talk to him? Cry? Another long feminist rant about how you hated the idea of marriage but how you would’ve married him in a heartbeat?
Because you would’ve.
“I’m sorry, baby,” you said, absentmindedly picking at the grass around you. “I should’ve gone with you and Dustin. I could have dragged you back so at least you’d be here and not there. If I’d been there, you’d be home. Or maybe you…” you trailed off with a long sigh. “It’s no use living in the past, is it? Except that’s where you are, it’s the only place you are right now and I can’t — how do I keep going on without you? I just want to hear you laugh again, Eddie. Feel your arms around me one more time…”
Tears spilled down your cheeks. The gaping wound in your chest reopened and you doubled over, letting yourself sob. You cried until the sun disappeared, at some point laying down on your side in the fetal position.
At some point you must’ve fallen asleep, because you woke up sometime later to a brush against your cheek. Your eyes fluttered open and you shivered in the chilly night air as you sat up, looking around. You had the strange feeling you weren’t alone.
The sound of leaves rustling behind you made you turn, and you choked on your gasp.
Sitting on top of his own headstone, looking a little worse for wear but still beautiful, was Eddie. His clothes were torn, but free of blood. His curls were frizzing out under his bandana, and his rings glinted in the moonlight.
He looked up at you from under his brow and smiled wickedly, “Hello, princess.”
You scrambled toward him, a fresh wave of tears falling down your cheeks. Eddie met you in the middle, kneeling in front of his headstone and welcoming you into his embrace which you dove into, clutching his leather jacket and burying your face in his neck.
“Shh, princess, I’m here,” he muttered soothingly. Placing kisses from your cheek down to your neck, you barely registered a pinching pain from his teeth. He groaned. “Ohh, you taste so good. Missed you so much, so sweet for me…”
You sniffled and pulled back from him to look him in the eyes — his big brown eyes that you swore you could drown in — but your gaze was drawn down to his chin, covered in something that made it dark. With a shaking hand, you reached up and traced his lower lip, gathering some of the substance.
Blood.
You looked back at Eddie, who was still holding you and gazing down at you like he always had. Full of love, hope, all-encompassing joy.
And then he smiled, revealing two long, razor-sharp fangs.

Dedicated to the lovely Lex @thefreakandthehair Happy Birthday 🎉😊❤️
Eddie was terrified.
This wasn't something new persay. Eddie was scared of a lot of things; maths tests, gym class, checkouts, bus timetables and interdimensional monsters. This was a new kind of fear.
"You'll be fine, kid. I've seen the way that boy looks at you."
"What if I mess it up, I've never been on a date, Wayne."
"Son, you could fall on your face in a pile of cow dung and Steve would still look at you like ya hung the damn moon."
Eddie smiled, fears not completely quelled but settled enough at the thought of Steve's smile. Eddie barely had time to finish tying his shoes before he heard the familiar crunch of gravel outside. He opened the door to see Steve getting out of his car, hair meticulously coiffed, jeans ironed and shirt hugging him perfectly.
"Sorry I'm late sweetheart."
"Hey, that's my line," Eddie said smiling shyly as he made his way to Steve.
"Think I deserve to call you sweet names for a bit too, after all you've gotten to call me sweetheart, angel, big boy, hot stuff, sweetcheeks, princes–"
"Yeah, yeah, I get it, can't help myself, baby."
Steve blushed softly, "Will have to add that one to the list."
"I've got plenty more, sweetheart, and we've got all night to hear them."
"There's something I don't think I'll be able to wait all night for," Steve said taking Eddie's face in his hand, Eddie unconsciously leaning into it.
"What's that, angel?"
"This," Steve whispers, almost as nervous as Eddie had felt in the trailer, as he leans in and connects their lips. Eddie smiled into the kiss, the last of his nerves melting away. Steve was here for him, Steve wanted him and as long as that stayed true Eddie would never worry again.
"Don't think I could've waited either, Stevie."
Inside, Wayne shook his head as he listened to the car pull back out of the trailer park.
"Like he hung the damn moon."

Hey!! I’ve been binging on your oneshots and I am OBSESSED!!! They hurt SO GOOD!!! Can I please get more angsty oneshots?? I saw this one that I really loved where Eddie comes back from the upside down and everyone knows but nobody told his girlfriend who was depressed since he died and when she finds out she’s pissed and refuses to speak to Eddie or any one of her friends. Can you write something like that? If you can’t I understand <3 ilyyy
Hey! I know we talked about this but I want to put a disclaimer for anyone else reading:
I am aware this type of plot has been written so I am going to try to twist it in my own way to make sure the original writer's work has not been copied :)
I love you too babes ❤️ thanks for the support

Y/N and Eddie fell in love back in freshman year. Best friends all throughout middle school. Connected at the hip. He lived for her and she lived for him.
What was she supposed to do now when he wasn't breathing anymore?
~~
She doesn't think she could ever forget it. The feeling of her heart physically stops, and hasn't been beating since Dustin told her Eddie was dead. She didn't believe him at first, refusing to accept her fiance was dead in the upside down. They were planning a wedding, they were going to be a family, and they were planning their future together.
She screamed at Dustin, pleading for him to tell her it was all a joke. A horrible sick joke. Steve caught her when she collapsed to the floor. She felt like she was losing grip on her life.
He was gone. She was alone.
~~
She doesn't know how long he's been gone, still slowly accepting it.
She's learning how to sleep alone.
She's learning to only make dinner for one.
She's learning to stop buying his favorite brownies.
Some things she refused to unlearn.
She still keeps his rings by the sink.
She still keeps his shampoo, and admits she uses it time to time.
She refuses to make their bed. His body imprint is still dented in the sheets. Before she sleeps she traces the outline.
Steve offered to clean her sheets and the room and she practically screamed her head off.
The group quickly understood she needed the reminder of Eddie in every room. It was the only way the house felt like her home.
And she refused to take off the ring.
~~
Eddie has been locked up in a cabin for around two months.
When he woke up in the upside down, gasping for air. He didn't understand what was going on. He fucking died and now he's breathing?
It felt like it took him hours to get up, slowly crawling to his old trailer. The rope hung down from where the group must have left through.
He had no strength but seeing the frames of Y/N and him on Wayne's walls gave him strength. He needed to make it back to her, and for her.
He landed in what was left of the trailer. Everything was shattered and broken. His heart broke for Wayne, his home was destroyed.
He prayed with everything in him Wayne and Y/N were safe.
Which led him to this cabin. Steve found Eddie wandering around the streets. He practically slammed on his breaks and ran to him. He was frantically shoving him in his car.
Steve explained everyone thought he was dead and to keep him safe until the group found a way to clear his name and for him to somehow be alive, he had to stay hidden.
Eddie begged to let him go home with Y/N. He promised he wouldn't leave the house. But Steve said it was too dangerous for her to know.
She needed to believe he was dead.
Everyday he missed her. He made it out alive because of her and he couldn't even be with her.
~~
The second Nancy announced he could return home, he packed within seconds. He was going home to his girl, and he couldn't wait.
~~
Y/N wasn't surprised by the knock on her door. The group stopped by daily to make sure she was still moving around inside.
She opened the door with a sigh, " yes I'm alive. Goodbye " before she closed the door she heard it.
She heard the voice. Eddie's voice. Her dead fiance's voice.
"baby."
She felt like her feet were glued to the floor. Her eyes bulging out as he stepped from the back to the front. Standing in front of Steve and Nancy, who were crying since they pulled up.
She didn't believe it. He was somehow here?
He reached out to her. His touch felt the same, it felt alive. She had to be dreaming or something.
She quickly stepped back, hurt flashed across his face.
"no you're dead. What is this? What is going on? " She was freaking out. Tears escaping her eyes at a rapid pace.
Eddie's heart was tugged as each tear fell. He was choked up he couldn't speak.
"He made it out alive somehow, Steve found him and it was too dangerous for him to come back into town. People thought he was a murder and dead. We needed to clear his name first." Nancy tried to explain.
All Y/N felt was anger and betrayal.
" you all knew he was alive and never thought to tell me? How long has he been alive?"
The group flinched at her tone.
Robin muttered, "two months."
A choked sob released from Y/N throat. For two months she has been in her own hell, learning to accept the love of her life is dead. And now they are telling her she was suffering for nothing?
Her anger was getting the best of her. She was blowing up
"that's why you didn't let me go see his body. Or plan his funeral. Because there was no body to see! No body to be buried. I was mourning over a body that was still god damn breathing. And you all watched me."
Eddie didn't think he could have his heart broken more. He could just imagine her begging to have a peace of mind. She wanted to give him a proper burial. She wanted to give him a funeral, while the town thought he was a murder. He hated thinking about her crying every night, wishing for him to be alive. All of that not knowing he was breathing just miles away.
"Baby. I totally understand why you are upset but they were trying to do the best thing for everyone."
Her eyes snapped to him.
"best thing for everyone? What about me huh? I never got to say goodbye Eddie! Do you know how bad that fucking hurt? How that kept me awake for the past two months? That I didn't get to tell you I loved you for the last time? That shit fucks with your head Eddie. I thought the man I was planning a wedding with fucking died! And no one would give me answers. No one would let me say goodbye to his goddamn body. No one allowed me to do anything. I was just supposed to move on? I don't even want to speak or look at any of you. Get the fuck out of my house."
She blew up and she didn't regret it. She has been holding that for months. She didn't even allow herself to feel relief that the fact Eddie was alive. She slammed her bedroom door and jumped on her bed. Hugging Eddie's pillow, the same one she's been sleeping with for two months.
~~
Eddie apologized and shut the door behind the group. With a deep breath he headed up the stairs. He noticed nothing in the house changed. The clothes he left in the corner of the hallway, still laid untouched. The dishes he made the morning of sat in the sink. Every thing he touched or left that day was in the same exact spot. He felt tears in his eyes. Thinking of her hurting too much to even move anything. She needed some reassurance his presence was around and that killed him.
He turned the knob softly to see her crying into a pillow. He took sight of the room. Their bed was a mess, which was odd she always made the bed.
"Decided to change up the decoration?" He tried to joke as he gestured to the bed.
She rolled her eyes at his attempt. Her voice was dry and cracked, "no. Your body left a dent in the mattress and I couldn't get rid of it. It somehow felt like you were here."
He hung his head, sobs were slowly making their way out. Once the first sob made it out he ran to her. He didn't care that she was mad at him. He needed to feel her. He sat and yanked her in his lap. Cradling her as they cried.
~~
And they cried for hours. Holding each other in silence once everything was out.
"I'm so sorry. I'm so fucking sorry. I can't imagine how horrible that was." He spoke softly into her ear. Her body was finally calming down. Their tears were dried on their face.
"let's not talk about it. Just kiss me and hold me."
So he did. He kissed her with every ounce of love he had for her. Every night he had to sleep without her. Every night she had to sleep with his pillow.
They'd pull apart to breath just to kiss again. It was salty because of their tears but they didn't care. Being in each other's arms was all they needed.
She could feel his heartbeat and that was all she needed to sleep that night.

🕊️ - Platonic relationships (friends, enemies, etc).
💛 - Familial relationships.
my baby boy 🩵🩵🩵
his bestest friend in the whole wide world is Gareth. They’ve known each other since Eddie was thirteen when he and Wayne moved up from Georgia and into Hawkins, and they’ve basically been inseparable since. But sometimes Eddie tends to disappear without warning for a while, so Gareth wasn’t all that worried at first when he ran away to the boathouse and missed band practice.
Eddie and his mom had a great relationship until she died (the same year he and Wayne moved). She talked to him a lot in Romanian (that’s where she was from until a few months before she married his dad) whenever he got upset and it made him feel better even though he never knew what she was saying. He calls Steve some of the pet names that she called him. Wayne lived with them and he and Eddie were super close because he would take Eddie out for walks when his dad first got home from work because he was always the worst then. Eddie’s dad told everyone that Eddie had died when he moved with Wayne

Requests: Steve adopting an abandoned child post earthquake in Hawkins after the spring break from hell. And him realizing all the ways he was hurt as a child due to his parents neglect. And how he overcomes it and raises his baby-child with gentleness, warmth, patience and love
OKAY GENUINELY I GOT SO CARRIED AWAY WITH THIS PROMPT AND IT STILL WASN'T AS MUCH AS I WANTED TO DO. FAIR WARNING: this is an emotional roller coaster. It ends HAPPY. But there are a lot of sad and bittersweet moments and feelings leading up to that moment. There is the mention of child neglect, and that can be difficult for some people to read, even with a happy ending, so please keep that in mind before starting this. Also, this is not how the law or CPS works at all, and it wasn't in the 80s either, but this is fiction and I do what I want. I hope someone can continue this idea somewhere because it is so special to me now. This is 6200 words of me not knowing how to wrap it up with a bow. I hope you love this my darling, thank you for this one. - Mickala ❤️
----------------------------------------------
Steve spent the last 12 hours pacing the waiting room floor at the hospital. He’d promised the kids he would stay until there was an update on Eddie and Max, and their parents had insisted they go home after they’d been quickly attended to for their minor injuries.
Max was stable, but not awake. They weren’t sure if she ever would be again. Steve passed that on to Nancy so she could call everyone.
Eddie finally made it out of surgery, alive, but barely.
He’d lost a lot of blood and they weren’t able to give him a transfusion until Wayne got there to donate.
It was touch and go for another few hours in recovery.
But things calmed down a bit, his heart rate settling at a normal rate, his oxygen maintaining where it should be with the mask on, the bleeding stopped and his blood regenerating on its own.
He wasn’t awake, but he was alive.
That was enough for Wayne and Hopper to kick him out of the hospital and make him go home.
“Shower. Eat. Sleep. In that order, Harrington,” Hopper said, the gruffness in his voice overruled by the concern.
He was up to speed on everything he missed, and he wasn’t thrilled about how much Steve had put on the line for everyone.
So Steve left, even though he wanted to stay, needed to have eyes on Eddie, on Max.
He had to trust that they were being taken care of.
He made it home, did two of the three things Hopper told him to. His shower was long and hot, finally able to wash away the blood and dirt and Upside Down particles that clung to his skin for the last couple of days. His dinner was quick and unfulfilling, but frozen meals usually are.
And then he did try to sleep. He tried on the couch first, his usual go-to spot after crises. Then he tried to go to his bed, hoping the weight of his comforter would help lull him to sleep.
But two hours later, he was still wide awake.
So he got up, put on jeans and a sweater, and made his way to the school, where emergency services had been set up.
It was chaotic, still very little organization amongst groups. The firefighters had been dispatched all over town, and most medical professionals had been called into the hospital or to help EMTs on calls. A handful of teachers had been put in charge of the check-in process here, making sure anyone who came through was on a list of survivors first, then sent to help where they were needed if they were able.
Steve was able, so he put his name on the list and was told to stand with a group at the far corner of the gym. Everyone in this group was waiting for a dispatch crew of firefighters to come get them to help locate survivors.
They were given vests, gloves, and helmets to wear, and given quick safety briefings. They were told not to move any rubble, that if they suspected someone was under some, to call for the professionals. They were just extra eyes and ears because everyone was stretched too thin for a disaster of this magnitude and help from local towns was slow to arrive.
Steve figured this would help him, if he stayed busy and managed to help people, he wouldn’t think about how helpless he was when it came to Max and Eddie.
The first location they were dropped at was a small neighborhood on the outskirts of town. Most of the homes had been completely demolished, cracks in the ground swallowing pieces of them. If there were any survivors here, they would be in desperate need of medical attention.
But after nearly four hours of searching, only one person was found, their leg trapped under a large wooden beam. The leg was broken, but they were fine other than that.
Steve felt relief that nothing more serious had happened there.
But the second area was worse.
It wasn’t a neighborhood, just a small wooded area surrounding two homes a good distance apart. Surprisingly, the homes were still standing, but everything around them was destroyed. Fires had been only recently extinguished, downed trees and power lines blocking most of the driveway and road in front of them.
“This should be relatively quick, both homes are empty and cars are gone, so we think everyone managed to get out safely, but we do need to be sure,” the firefighter in charge of this group said before leading them forward.
The smaller of the two houses was empty, though a mess, like the occupants had rushed to pack necessities and threw anything else on the ground as they rushed to get out.
The other home, though, was surprisingly clean. Kept up in a way Steve wouldn’t have expected for the panic most people showed while escaping town.
Everyone assumed maybe the occupants hadn’t even been home when the quake hit.
But Steve decided to go upstairs anyway.
Something was telling him this wasn’t normal.
It felt familiar in a way he didn’t want to acknowledge yet.
No one else followed him, all of the volunteers congregating in the living room area to discuss their next location before heading back to the school for a break.
Steve followed his gut, and his gut told him to check the bedroom at the end of the hall.
He opened the door, not surprised to see that nothing seemed strange at first glance.
Then he saw movement out of the corner of his eye, under the bed.
He would’ve checked there anyway, that’s where he would have hidden in this kind of situation, too.
“I guess this place is all clear,” Steve said, quiet enough not to be heard by anyone downstairs yet, but loud enough to be heard by the person under the bed.
“Wait!”
It was a kid, Steve figured as much based on the items on the desk in the corner and the poster on the wall.
The small boy crawled out from under the bed, panic on his face.
“Are you gonna take me to my parents?” The boy asked, lips wobbling.
“I’m gonna try. I’m Steve, what’s your name?”
“Elliott.”
“Nice to meet you, Elliott. How old are you?”
“Nine.”
Jesus Christ. Where had his parents even been? Why weren’t they looking for him?
He hoped they were on their way back and just stuck trying to get into town.
But a part of him had already known that wasn’t true. A part of him knew the moment they pulled into the area that he’d find someone left here, someone who shouldn’t have ever been alone.
“Alright, Elliott, let’s get you back to the school. We can put your name on the list so your parents can find you easier, okay? I can stay with you until they get here.”
“I don’t know if they will.”
Steve’s heart stopped for a moment.
Sure, his parents never came back after the Upside Down bullshit, but he’d been a teenager and adult. They probably assumed he wasn’t involved in any of it and was fine.
But Elliott was nine. Even his parents would have come back for him at that age.
They never should have left him alone to begin with, but even they knew the trouble they’d be in for leaving him at that age after a fucking earthquake.
“Of course they will, buddy. It’s just hard getting into Hawkins right now, you’ll see on our way back.”
He placed his hand on Elliott’s shoulder, not surprised when he tensed up under him for a moment before he relaxed.
Steve hadn’t been used to casual touch until he met Nancy.
But Elliott deserved to feel cared for right now, so he kept his hand there, let him get used to it for a moment, and then guided him out the door and down the stairs.
Most of the group had moved back outside, but a few people remained.
One of the few women in the group looked over at his entrance, her jaw dropping when she saw he had a child with him.
“Oh my God!”
Steve held his hand up, knowing Elliott probably didn’t want to draw a lot of attention to himself.
“He’s okay. He managed to find a safe place to hide. His parents might be looking for him though so we should get him back,” Steve said calmly.
No one crowded him, but the firefighter waiting by the van that was transporting everyone checked his heart and lungs, made sure he didn’t have any visible wounds or injuries.
Elliott didn’t let go of Steve the entire time, his hand gripping his forearm like he was terrified to lose him among the group.
Steve didn’t try to pull away, not once.
He knew Elliott needed someone. He could be that someone for him.
—-------------
When they arrived back at the school, they put his name on the list, and since he was a minor, they had him go to one of the classrooms that was being watched over by security while they tried to contact his parents.
He told them they left for a business trip over a week ago, he didn’t know when they would be back, and his aunt checked on him every morning, but he hadn’t seen her since the quake.
Steve stood by as he spoke to the responsible adults, not letting Elliott out of his sight.
Elliott begged for Steve to come with him to wait while they tried to locate his parents, so he did.
He realized pretty quickly that Elliott must not have slept last night; He curled against Steve’s side on the floor almost immediately and fell asleep, light snores making Steve smile to himself.
The floor was hard, the wall behind him was somehow harder, but he wouldn’t move short of another emergency.
They stayed like that for hours, kids coming and going as more were found and reunited with their families.
Elliott was the youngest one left in the room, all the other kids high school age.
When one of the men from the group he was in earlier came in the room to get another kid, he asked if there was any update on Elliott.
“Nah, they’re still trying to find them. The aunt um…” The guy looked nervously down at the sleeping Elliott. “She didn’t make it. Was on her way to try to get him when another crack hit the road she was driving on, car crashed. They contacted the dad’s business and were told he’s out of the country and won’t be returning calls until next week.”
“How long are they gonna make him stay here while they figure it out?”
“No clue, man. I’ll ask someone.”
But he didn’t come back and Elliott deserved something better than the floor to sleep on.
“Hey, buddy,” Steve said, gently nudging his shoulder to wake him up. “Sorry, just gotta run and ask someone something real quick.”
Elliott grabbed his shirt, holding it in his fist tightly.
“Don’t go! Please,” he begged, tears welling in his eyes.
Steve’s heart broke.
He’d been this kid for so much of his childhood, practically begging people to stick around so he didn’t have to be drenched in loneliness again.
He knew he would be right back, but to Elliott, especially after the quake, he probably felt like anyone who left would be gone forever.
“Come with me. We’ll find you some dinner while I find out how things are going.”
He stood up, his legs numb from sitting on the floor so long, and helped Elliott find his balance after waking up so abruptly.
They left the room, the security nodding them on when he saw Steve was with him, and walked down the hall to the cafeteria area.
They were serving ham and cheese sandwiches, bags of chips, and water for everyone. It wasn’t much, but it was enough for now.
If he could find a phone, maybe he could get Robin to bring him and Elliott more food.
Elliott shyly thanked the person handing out the meals, and Steve slowly guided him to an empty table while his eyes searched for anyone he recognized.
He almost did a happy dance when he saw Dustin and Claudia across the room.
“Hey, that’s actually my friend and his mom. Can you wait here while I grab them?”
Elliott nodded nervously, clearly only letting him walk away because he would be within his sight the entire time.
Steve ran over to them, wincing slightly when the bite on his stomach started pulsing. Probably should take it easier while that healed.
“Dustin!” Steve exclaimed as he got closer.
Dustin’s head shot around, smile lighting up his face as he realized it was Steve.
“Dude! Everyone’s been trying to find you for hours. Have you been here all day?”
“Kinda. I came to help with searching and I found a kid earlier. They’re trying to find his parents, but he’s been kind of attached to me.”
“Damn, I hope they find them soon. Phone lines keep going down. You seen Hopper come by yet?”
“No, has he gotten any sleep yet?”
“Doubt it. Ma, do you have any cookies left for Steve?”
Claudia came bustling over, digging through her purse as she walked.
“Oh, I’m sure I do! Hi, Steve, dear. Hope you’re doing okay in all this madness.”
“I’m doing alright,” Steve gave her a small smile as she managed to find the cookies and hand them over. “Hey, do you know the parents of Elliott Devers?”
“Oh, I know of them, sure. Only met them once, they never seem to be in town. He’s a sweet boy, his aunt seems to take care of him most of the time.”
Steve filled her in on what he knew so far, that Elliott’s aunt had died, that no one could reach his parents, that he’d been alone in the house for at least a full day before Steve found him.
That Elliott didn’t seem to want to be separated from Steve.
Dustin was watching him talk, eyebrows furrowing like he was trying to think of something.
“Wait, his dad’s the guy who was under investigation for tax evasion, fraud, and identity theft, isn’t he?”
Steve’s stomach dropped.
His brain made connections that only children of rich parents can in a matter of seconds.
His parents ran to another country on “business” because that was the only way they were allowed to leave while he was under investigation. No one could reach them because they gave fake information so they could go into hiding. Because he was guilty of all of the things he was under investigation for and didn’t want to lose everything and end up in prison.
Fuck.
Claudia must have realized the same thing, a deep frown settling on her face.
“Elliott is the boy sitting at that table?” She asked as she pointed towards him.
He was watching them as he ate, eyes wide as he kept glancing around the room.
Steve nodded.
“If they ran, and they aren’t coming back, where will he go?” Steve asked.
“I’m sure he’ll be placed with a family who can take him until they can figure out a more permanent place, but that may be hard right now with so many people leaving Hawkins. He may have to leave town,” Claudia said, though Steve could tell she was trying to figure out how to take him in, even if only for a few days.
“What would I have to do to keep him while they keep looking?”
“Oh, that’s a question for Hopper, sweetie. I’m not sure you’d fit the requirements, even though I think he’d be very lucky to get to stay with you,” Claudia touched his arm, giving it a gentle squeeze in comfort.
“Is he coming by?”
“Hopper? Yes, he just got done at the hospital handling some things for Edward,” Claudia said.
“Eddie, Ma, how many times do I have to tell you?”
“The tone! Watch it!” Steve said before Claudia could respond.
She smirked at Steve, then gave Dustin a look that said she wasn’t going to listen to him and walked away.
“I gotta go with her, she’s bringing dinner to Wayne at the hospital.”
“Is Eddie awake?”
“Not yet, but they think it could be anytime. They said the drugs in his system are heavy enough to keep him out for a while.”
“But he seems okay?”
“Yeah.”
“Max?”
He almost didn’t want to ask, but he had to.
“No news.”
Steve nodded once, acknowledging that Dustin didn’t want to talk about it right now, that it was tough to even think about how she was probably not gonna wake up anytime soon if ever.
“Hey, come by my house tomorrow, okay? We can watch a movie or somethin’.”
“Sure.”
Steve gave Dustin a quick hug before making his way back to Elliott, who looked like he might start crying any moment.
“Hey, buddy. Sorry that took longer than I thought, but…” Steve pulled the bag of cookies from behind his back with a smile. “I got cookies! Claudia makes the best chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. You’ll love them.”
Elliott relaxed a little, smiling up at Steve as he reached for the bag of cookies.
“Is she nice? She looks nice.”
“She’s awesome. She always brings me soup if I’m sick.”
“Is that what moms do? My aunt sometimes does, but she doesn’t know how to make the kind I like.”
Steve bit his lip.
“What kind do you like?”
“My favorite is tomato and noodles. She can only make chicken noodle. It’s okay, but sometimes it has a funny taste.”
Steve smiled at him, glad he was at least talking, even if what he was saying was heartbreaking.
“I’m sure Claudia can make you some tomato and noodles. I’ll call and ask.”
“But not now, right?”
Elliott’s voice filled with panic, his eyes widening.
“No, I’m staying with you right now. The chief should be here soon and we can figure out what’s going on, okay?”
“Like, the chief of police? You know him?”
“Yeah, Hopper’s nice. Don’t let his mean face scare you. He’s kind of a teddy bear.”
“Excuse you, I’m not a teddy bear. I’m a grizzly bear,” Hopper said behind Steve.
Elliott laughed, and Hopper tried to hide a small smile. Teddy bear.
“Are you Elliott?” Elliott nodded. “Can we go talk for a few minutes just us? I promise Steve can wait right outside the door.”
Hopper gave Steve a look that said he was about to ruin this kid’s day as if it didn’t already suck enough.
“Um, can Steve come in the room too?”
“If you want him to, sure.”
“I want him to.”
“Okay then, let’s go.”
Steve grabbed everything off the tables, throwing the trash away on the walk towards the teacher’s lounge area that had been set up for the cops to conduct phone calls and interviews as needed.
It was empty now, probably thanks to Hopper taking control quickly.
They sat down around a table, Elliott’s hand finding Steve’s quickly.
“Alright, Elliott, so I have a few questions and then I have some news,” Hopper started, his voice maintaining no emotion the way he’d been taught.
“Okay.”
“How long have your parents been gone this time?”
“I dunno. A week, maybe a little longer.”
“And you were alone that whole time?”
Elliott looked to Steve, like he needed help to answer, but Steve just smiled at him and mouthed ‘just be honest, you’re not in trouble.’
“Most of the time. My aunt came to check on me in the mornings and bring me food for the day.”
“Aunt Janice?”
“Yeah.”
“Bud, I’m sorry to tell ya this, but your Aunt Janice was in a really bad accident and didn’t make it,” Hopper’s voice started to show some emotion, but Steve squeezed Elliott’s hand so he wouldn’t focus on that.
“She died?”
“Yeah, bud. I’m sorry.”
“But who will bring me food in the morning?”
Steve couldn’t do this. Holy shit, he could not do this. How was Hopper able to do this?
“Well, we still haven’t been able to call your parents. Do you know exactly where they might be?”
“I don’t know. They don’t tell me where they go.”
Steve and Hopper looked at each other.
Hopper knew Steve had been in a similar position when he was younger, but no one checked on him. Hopper had often been the one to show up at his door during his early teens to make sure he had food and wasn’t hurt.
“What if he stayed with me until you find them?” Steve asked Hopper.
Elliott turned to him.
“I can stay with you?” He asked excitedly.
“Oh, I’m not sure about that. There’s a process for this kinda thing,” Hopper began.
“Then start the process. He’s staying with me,” Steve said firmly, not caring if he sounded rude, not caring if Hopper hated him for it, just wanting Elliott safe and in a house instead of a school converted to a disaster relief zone.
Hopper eyed him up and down, and the way Elliott was holding his hand and bouncing excitedly in his chair.
“Alright, fine. But it’s a week by week basis until we can get ahold of his parents,” Hopper said directly to Steve.
“Steve, do you have a microwave? I make popcorn so good, like so good. I can make it tonight even!”
Steve smiled at him, and then at Hopper, who was watching with a fond smile.
“I’m sure I have what you need to make some popcorn, buddy.”
“You wait here, I have to get the release from CPS. They’re in the front office.”
Elliott went on and on about all the things they could do while he stayed with him, and when he found out Steve had a pool, he didn’t even stop for breath as he explained that he was the best swimmer when they took a field trip last year to the pool and that he could probably even beat Steve in a race.
Steve just smiled and agreed.
—-----------------------
A week with Elliott went by, and it was easy.
Steve was terrified how quickly he just fit in.
He fit in at his house, making it feel like a home, with his rambunctious energy and nightly popcorn making.
He fit in with the kids, showing interest in D&D even though he’d never heard of it before.
He even fit with Robin, who kind of hated kids, but thought Elliott was probably the cutest kid she’d ever met.
One night, while Dustin and Mike were showing Elliott how to build a character, Robin asked him the question he’d been dreading.
“What happens if he can’t stay?”
“What do you mean?”
“I’m assuming they’ll find his parents soon, and when they do, he’ll have to go live with them again. Or at least his mom since his dad will be in prison for life at this rate. How are you gonna handle that?”
He had no clue. He wanted Elliott to have parents who stuck around, and who loved him, and let him pop popcorn every night.
But realistically, even if they did come back, that wasn’t what his life would look like.
His life would be a lot like Steve’s was, sad and lonely, and he didn’t deserve that.
“I’m gonna fight for him. I don’t know what that means yet, but I know that whatever is best for him is what I’m gonna make sure happens.”
Robin wrapped him up in a hug, her arms squeezing him to her.
“You’re gonna be a great dad someday.”
No one had ever said that to him before.
But maybe he could believe it.
—-------------------------------------
Steve was the first person to come to the hospital when Eddie woke up, Elliott excitedly chattering from the backseat of his car the whole way.
It was helping Steve’s nerves, but he knew he wasn’t giving Elliott the attention he needed.
“Sorry, buddy. What was that?”
Elliott was quiet for a moment.
“Are you worried?”
Steve smiled at him in the rearview mirror, his hands gripping the wheel tight.
“A little. You remember how everyone told you about Eddie? How he saved us all and almost died?”
“Yeah, he’s a hero!”
“He is. But he’s still healing and I’m just worried about how hurt he is.”
“Oh. So we can’t hug him or hold his hand to help him feel better?” Elliott groaned. “Oh man, I was gonna bring him popcorn!”
Steve laughed quietly to himself.
“I think he’s on a pretty strict diet right now, buddy. Maybe when he’s out of the hospital we can have him over for a movie and you can make him some.”
“When will he be out?”
“I dunno yet. I think it might still be a little while.”
“Will I still live with you then?”
Steve gulped.
“I hope so.”
“Me too,” Elliott said quietly, staring out the window as they pulled into the hospital parking lot.
His mood was a bit somber as they walked through the halls of the bustling hospital, going to the fifth floor in the elevator where Eddie’s room was.
When he got to the right room, he knocked on the door even though it was open, smiling in at Wayne.
“Hey, come in, Steve. Eddie, Steve’s here,” Wayne said as he turned to Eddie, who was awake, but mostly horizontal still in bed.
“Steve?” Eddie’s rough voice asked.
“Hey, Eds. Hope it’s okay I brought my buddy, Elliott, to say hi. He’s heard a lot about you and Dustin and Mike and Will have been teaching him D&D for when you get out of here.”
Steve walked close to the bed, holding Elliott’s hand. He seemed shy suddenly, which wasn’t like him, not since he was living with Steve.
“Hey, Elliott. You keepin’ Steve company?”
“Yes, sir.”
Wayne snorted.
“Oh, son, you don’t have to be formal with Eddie. He’s barely older than you in his head.”
Eddie glared at Wayne, but smiled at Elliott.
“Seriously, bud, just Eddie is fine. So you ready for a campaign?”
“I dunno. Dustin said maybe I can play with you guys?”
“‘Course you can. I have so many ideas when I get outta here.”
Eddie turned to Steve and gave him a smirk.
“As long as we can host at your place?”
Steve blushed, remembering the last time he had Eddie’s full attention on him, back when his words “make him pay” sounded a lot like “I love you.”
“Yeah. Yeah, we can do that. When do you get out of here?”
Elliott was loosening his anxious grip on Steve’s hand as the nerves wore off.
“They said not for a couple weeks, but I’m gonna walk right out of here the moment I can feel my legs again.”
Elliott let out a giggle and Eddie smiled.
“You can help me, right? I may need some support to run for it.”
“No! You have to stay until you’re all better, goofball.”
“That’s exactly what I told him, Elliott. You’re much wiser than he is,” Wayne said with a roll of his eyes.
Elliott moved closer to the side of the bed, his hands folded in front of him.
“Um. Could I hold your hand? So you feel better?”
Steve was going to cry.
Eddie kind of looked like he might, too.
“Yeah, I could use a hand to hold, bud. Thanks for offering. Wayne’s hand gets sweaty, but don’t tell him I said that,” he whispered the last part to Elliott, but loud enough so everyone could still hear.
Elliott held his hand, sitting carefully on the edge of the bed.
He told Eddie all about the character Dustin and Mike helped him build, about how they might run a practice campaign with him soon. He told him about the popcorn he would make for the first time he came over.
Steve watched fondly, realizing quickly that this wasn’t something he could lose.
Not Elliott, and not Eddie either.
—-----------------------------
Elliott’s parents were still missing.
It’s been almost a month, Eddie was released from the hospital a day ago, and Elliott was still living with Steve.
The longer he stayed, the more it would hurt if he left.
They got into a routine.
School had been canceled for the rest of the year, so they mostly just made breakfast together, went in the pool, hung out with the kids, visited Eddie, played basketball, and had popcorn every night.
Steve knew Elliott was happy, he knew he was happy.
He was terrified it would end.
They were hosting Eddie for a movie night, and Elliott was more excited than ever.
Steve was a nervous wreck.
He was in charge of making sure Eddie didn’t overdo it, making sure he took his nighttime medications, and getting him to bed at a reasonable hour. According to Wayne, his pills made him tired and he would fight sleep if you didn’t force him into a bed.
Steve spent the day cleaning, baking, and preparing.
By dinner time, when Eddie would be arriving, Elliott was starting to question it.
“What’s wrong? Do you not want Eddie to come over?”
“No! Of course I want him to come over.”
“So…why are you being like this?”
“I’m…”
“Is it because you love Eddie?”
Steve choked on air.
“What?”
“Or do you think Eddie doesn’t love you?”
“Elliott, gonna say a big kid word right now. What the hell do you mean?”
Elliott rolled his eyes.
“You want to make Eddie feel happy and safe here, and you always get this stupid look on your face when we visit him, and then when I asked Wayne if you two were boyfriends he laughed and said ‘probably soon.’ So you love him, right?”
Steve’s mouth was working open and shut, open and shut, no noise coming out.
“Two boys can be together, you know. Robin told me.”
“She what? When?”
“When she told me two girls can be together.”
Steve put his face in his hands and couldn’t help the laugh of disbelief he let out as Elliott touched his back to comfort him.
“Did you not know you loved Eddie?”
“Uh. I guess I didn’t know that other people thought I loved Eddie.”
“Oh. So are you gonna be boyfriends?”
“I…I don’t know, buddy. Maybe.”
“I think you should be. Then it might be like I have two dads.”
What?
What.
“What?”
Elliott pulled his hand away and suddenly seemed nervous.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to say that.”
Steve couldn’t handle the look on Elliott’s face.
“Elliott, look at me, buddy.” He waited for Elliott to look at him. “Is that what you think of me as? Like your dad?”
Elliott nodded.
“Come here,” Steve said, pulling Elliott into a hug. “You’re the best kid, you know that?”
Elliott nodded, and Steve let out a wet laugh.
“Uh, everything okay in here?” Eddie said from the doorway.
“Eddie!” Elliott let out, and despite the mood of the previous conversation, he was smiling from ear to ear.
Eddie smiled at him and pulled him into the least hurt side of him for a hug.
He looked at Steve with a questioning look. Steve just shook his head quickly, wiping the tears from his eyes quickly.
“Can I make popcorn now, pleeeeease?” Elliott asked, bouncing on his heels.
“Yes, fine. But only one bowl right now. You can make more after dinner.”
“Okay, dad!” he yelled as he ran to the popcorn maker.
Eddie’s brows raised to his forehead as he looked at Steve, who was crying buckets at this point.
“What’s that about, Stevie?” Eddie whispered as he came up to him.
“I um, I guess he just feels like I’m his dad,” Steve shrugged.
“Are you okay with that?”
“I just don’t want him to go.”
“Oh, sweetheart,” Eddie said, pulling Steve into a crushing hug that had to hurt him. Steve sniffled against his shoulder, letting himself cry for a minute. “Did Hopper say he may have to go soon?”
“No, but I mean, if they find his parents or if CPS decides he has to go to a real family, then he’ll have to.”
“Stevie, they wouldn’t just take him. Not when he’s safe here and wants to be here. I promise.”
“But what if he goes somewhere far away or to people who won’t let me see him?”
Eddie held the back of his head against his shoulder, placing a kiss to the top of his head.
“He won’t. We’ll fight for him to stay here, okay? He’s got a family here, with us. Right?”
“Us?” Steve asked as he pulled away.
“Yeah. Us. Sound okay to you?”
Steve could only nod as he wiped his running nose.
How attractive.
“Hopper still doesn’t have any idea where they are, right?”
“Nope.”
“They’ll give up eventually. I hate to say it, but they won’t put more effort into a kid who has a safe place to go when they have bigger problems. Like how half the town is still homeless because of a fucking earthquake.”
“That’s a big kid word!” Elliott yelled from his spot at the counter.
“I’m a big kid!” Eddie yelled back, smirking at Steve.
“But I’m not!” Elliott yelled as they heard the popcorn machine starting up.
“Fine!”
Eddie placed a kiss on Steve’s forehead, then one against his lips.
It was soft, chaste, barely a kiss at all.
But it was a perfect first kiss for them.
—----------------------------
Another month passed with no news.
Eddie was at Steve’s house almost every day, spending time with Elliott, spending time with the party, with Steve.
Steve had converted the main guest room into Elliott’s permanent bedroom, but was scared to think of it that way still.
Eddie tried to reassure him, but even he was nervous that no final decisions had been made and the case remained open.
Until Hopper came by one night, well after Elliott went to bed. Eddie was doing the dishes while Steve was prepping some fruit for Elliott’s breakfast before his first day of summer camp the next day.
“Hop.”
Steve felt his stomach sink.
They were going to take Elliott.
“Steve. Can I come in?”
“Yeah.”
Steve let him in, his face forced into casual calm, but on the inside he was already screaming and crying about what was about to happen.
Hopper sat down on the chair, gesturing for Steve and Eddie to sit on the couch.
“So.”
“You’re taking him aren’t you? He can’t stay.”
“What? No.” Hopper frowned. “No, Steve. The opposite actually. We’re closing the case. CPS said after interviews with him, even if his parents did get found or come back on their own, he wouldn’t be put back in their care.”
“But what about putting him with another family?”
Hopper sighed. He watched Eddie place a hand on Steve’s knee to calm him down.
“They’ve spoken in detail with him about his current situation. They believe that you’re the person he wants to live with and they aren’t going to disrupt his life any more than it already has been. If that’s alright with you, of course.”
Steve felt like he could breathe for the first time in his life.
“He can stay? With me?”
“He can stay with you.”
Steve let out a sob and fell against Eddie’s side. Eddie was crying too, but trying to keep more control so he could comfort Steve.
“CPS has to do a home visit to finalize everything, but if you’re good with it, you can officially adopt him. He’s been considered abandoned by his parents, and since it’s been 60 days, they relinquish all rights automatically.”
“How quickly can we do that?”
“We? Both of you?”
“I mean, can we both even do that?”
Hopper shrugged.
“Don’t know. But they’re probably expecting just Steve for now. They’ll call tomorrow to schedule everything and give you a chance to talk to Elliott.”
Steve and Eddie both nodded.
“I’m gonna leave you two to it, but call me if you need me. Congrats, Steve. I know you wanted this. I know he wanted this.”
“Thanks.”
Hopper saw himself out, closing the door quietly so it wouldn’t wake Elliott up.
“Eddie, did that really happen? Am I dreaming?”
“No, sweetheart, you aren’t dreaming.”
“I get to be his dad.”
“Yeah, you do.”
“And you?”
“What about me?”
“Do you want to be his other dad?”
“I would love to, baby. Let’s ask him tomorrow, though. It’s up to him.”
Steve nodded.
It was up to Elliott, but he knew what Elliott wanted.
He knew what he wanted.
They were gonna be a family. A real family. No more worrying about someone deciding to take Elliott away from him.
He could finally use this house that had been left to him by his parents for something other than being miserable. He could keep it filled with love and laughter and happiness and maybe the occasional stupid argument.
Maybe Elliott would make friends at school in the fall and want to have hangouts here. Maybe they could both save up some money and take him on a vacation somewhere. Maybe someday they could get married and Elliott could be the best man.
Anything could happen.
Steve couldn’t wait.

You Make Loving Fun: Part I
A collection of little Chrissy and Eddie moments that might turn a little smutty
Part I: Pomp and Circumstance. Eddie finally graduates and Chrissy is really proud
Yeah I know, my self control still hasn't returned. We'll be fine!
This will probably have several parts, but my plan is to have them basically unrelated or at the very least make it so that they can be read as a stand alone.
This is my 50th work posted to Ao3. That seems like a pretty awesome milestone. Whether you're from the Eddissy fandom or the Captain Swan one, thank you for stopping by and thank you for supporting my writing ❤️
Rated E- It’s smut my friends

He never liked the whole Pomp and Circumstance thing, mostly because he never really got it. Sure, graduating is a big deal, especially for someone who stayed back not once, but twice, but is the whole excessive grandeur thing really necessary? He’s never thought so.
That is, until it was almost graduation day, and Chrissy fucking Cunningham started playing the song, all excited for him to walk across the stage. All four movements, baby, she had said. And ever since then, it’s been stuck in his head.
He didn’t even know what a movement was until he met Chrissy Cunningham. Scratch that– until he started to get to know Chrissy Cunningham. More specificallly, until he started to fuck Chrissy Cunningham.
And of course, they were never just fucking. They’ve always been making love to one another, the passion between them almost nauseating each time they come together, each time they so much as see one another. Honestly, it’s miraculous no one’s figured it out by now, although that’s probably more related to the fact that not a single person in this god forsaken town could imagine a girl like Chrissy Cunningham sleeping with a guy like Eddie Munson.
Never mind actually, maybe, in a way, falling for him.
Either way, though, here they are.
Chrissy, with shimmery green pigment on her eyelids, and Eddie, finally knowing what the hell a movement is.
Her lesson did help, of course. She was so excited to find out that he was actually, officially graduating, that she found her mother’s cassette of the damn song and brought it over, playing it on a loop as she rode him until she screamed in time with the fourth movement. Now, the fourth movement happens to be his favorite.
Plus, she helped him get here, anyway. She told him, If you don’t blow Ms. O’Donnell’s final, I'll blow you.
She was high at the time, which was why she was being so goofy, but she did end up keeping her promise when he squeaked by with a C+.
Her name is called first, C coming before M, which he knows because he’s technically a high school graduate at this point. When she walks across the stage and accepts the diploma from Mr. Higgins, he screams so loudly that he can see her round cheeks blushing from his seat, her eyes rolling and her smile beaming while everyone else in his row gives him a look of horror and confusion.
And when he walks across stage, he can hear the shouts from his uncle Wayne, the whistles from the Hellfire Club, and the soft, familiar tune of Pomp and Circumstance playing from her Walkman, volume turned all the way up and still barely audible over the chorus of cheers and boos, her face lit up like a Christmas tree. She was so proud of him that he knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that this was all worth it.
It’s worth it again as he finds himself in the back of his van, Chrissy Cunningham fumbling with the buttons of his stupid shirt beneath the stupid robe, her breathing quick and panting and desperate as she presses her hips against his fingers. “Fuck,” she says. “I’m so proud of you.”
“Chrissy,” he scolds playfully. “You’re not one to curse. What’s gotten into you?”
“Hopefully you, if you wouldn’t mind hurrying up.”
“Well, I certainly wouldn’t mind, of course, but I’d want to ensure that that’s exactly what my sweet, innocent girlfriend truly wants.”
“Is sweet and innocent really what you want?” she asks, moving her hand from his last few buttons down to his crotch over the stupid dress pants she begged him to wear. They’ll look so nice, Eddie, she pleaded, and he couldn’t possibly say no to those big doe eyes. “Or would you prefer your desperate, needy, very proud girlfriend?”
He lets out a groan as she slides down the zipper of his slacks, her soft hand finding its way into his boxer briefs, the ones she got for him because she told him it would be best if whatever he was wearing under his slacks wasn’t baggy. Of course, the sensation of the tighter fabric is entirely new against the part of him that needs her the most, and she seems to know it, grasping onto him just right and smirking against his neck.
“Well?” she asks, and he realizes he never did answer her.
“Whatever,” he says breathlessly, wishing he had said something a bit more romantic than that. “Whatever you want to give me, Chrissy Cunningham, I'll gladly accept.”
“That’s very nice of you,” she praises, and for a second, he thinks to himself, when did he become the one with the praise kink? But it doesn’t matter.
He groans again when his fingers find their destination beneath her gown and dress, the material hiding the heat and need all too well. “Fuck, baby,” he murmurs as he dampens his fingers and glides them over her clit, earning a needy moan from her. “Have you been this wet for me the whole ceremony?”
“Yeah,” she whispers between pants. “Right when they started the song, I got all hot and bothered.”
“Me too, sweetheart,” he laughs, latching his lips to the sensitive skin behind her ear, the spot that always makes her moan out his name and tighten her grip in his hair. It makes him never, ever want to cut it. “Although, I'm always hot and bothered for you, baby.”
“Prove it,” she challenges, and he surprises himself when he growls, gripping her thighs and pulling her down beneath him, her back against the floor of the van that she’s cleaned up and decorated. He leans his elbows against the floor, just above her shoulders, and for a brief moment, he just gazes at her.
He stares into her eyes, utterly in awe of the fact that she’s here with him. She’s here, and she has been for months now. And, as far as he can tell, it doesn’t seem like she’s going anywhere.
She moans when she grips his cock again and lines it up with herself, the heat of her making him shiver as he tries to hold back from plunging into her all at once. His forehead drops against hers, the tip of his nose brushing along the bridge of hers, and she presses up to capture his lips in hers. “I’m so proud of you,” she whispers again, and his heart starts racing even faster.
“Thank you,” he whispers back. “Seriously, I probably would've been fucked without you.”
“No,” she laughs, but he cuts her off with another kiss.
“Probably,” he says again. “Just take the compliment, will you, Cunningham?”
She can’t answer, humming against his mouth instead as he inches his way inside her until she has to break away from him to catch her breath. “You okay, angel?” he asks her softly, and she nods, her brows set tensely as she bites her bottom lip. She used to bite it when she was stressed, but he hasn’t seen her do that so much lately.
“So good,” she whispers when he pulls out and slides back in again, and then again. “Fuck, Eddie, that’s so good.”
“I love when you say that,” he breathes against her ear lobe. “I love when you’re so fucking hot that you can’t filter yourself. I love when you let yourself go, baby.”
“It’s you,” she breathes, unable to expand, but he knows exactly what she means. She never swore before, always jumping and shivering and staring at him with wide eyes when he cursed, until he undid her and she let out a string of F bombs no one would ever believe came from her sweet, perfect lips.
He thrusts harder, longing to hear more from her dirty, wanton mouth, moving his fingers down to rest between them and draw quick, gentle circles over her clit that make her cry out wordlessly. “That’s it, angel,” he praises, sucking a bruise into her skin as she cries out into his ear. “So fucking perfect, are you gonna come for me?”
“Yeah,” she moans. “Fuck, don’t stop, please.”
He doesn’t, and he promises her he won’t, and he keeps his promise, driving into her until her ankles lock around his hips and her heels press into his ass and he’s thrusting harder and harder until she’s screaming into his neck, trying desperately to stay quiet for fear that anyone walking by the van could hear her. She squeezes his cock as she comes around him, bringing him right to the edge with her until he’s spilling himself into her and groaning into her ear, his hands gripping her thighs just below her ass and his lips stuck to her neck.
She sighs after a while, several minutes having gone by before she breathlessly murmurs, “Oooh, gosh,”  and he laughs at her refusal to swear unless she wants him to fuck her brains out.
He kisses her cheek this time, then the pink skin behind her ear that’s bound to turn into a bruise by the end of the night. “Sorry about that,” he says softly, somehow earning a soft giggle even though she should probably be pissed at him.
“It’s fine,” she says, although she normally panics if he ever leaves any sort of mark that can be seen when she gets home.
“Is it?” he asks, leaning up on his elbows to take a good look at her soft smile.
She shrugs casually, her eyes heavy and her face blissful. “I graduated, I'm 18, I'm moving out at the end of the summer… what can she really do?”
His fingers brush her long bangs away from her eyes, her efforts at growing them out driving her insane to the point that she normally pins them back, although he does love to see them messy like this. “True,” he muses gently as she nuzzles her cheek into his hand. It’s another reason to be nauseatingly proud of her, the fact that she’s finally getting away from home and moving a few hours away to Muncie for college making his heart race, although there’s still a few months before she moves away from her mother. “But it’s only May. What’s gonna happen from now until August?”
She shrugs again, a little less casual this time. “I guess I'll just… lie low.”
Lying low isn’t something that seems all that possible in the Cunningham household, at least based on what she’s told him, but she never really likes to talk about it much. They should be getting cleaned up and on their way anyway, the ceremony almost over after they snuck away early. He’s expected at a Hellfire Club party later, and she mentioned maybe doing one last hoorah with the cheer squad. Plus, given their track record, Mike Wheeler is due to accidentally walk in on them any second now. But despite the fact that he knows they need to got a move on, he finds himself desperate to know that she hears just one thing.
“Well… you know uncle Wayne will always let you stay with us, even though he’d make me stay on the couch.”
“Because we’d get up to so much trouble when he’s home?” she jokes.
“Right. The sex, the drugs, the rock and roll– it’s horrifying.” She laughs, and his heart stops for a second. “But seriously, if you ever need anything… I'm your guy.”
“I know that, Eddie,” she tells him, her voice soothing and calm and serious, her palm cupping his cheek and her lips turning up in a gentle smile. “I’ve always known that.”
He thinks back to how they got here, how they came together, grew together, became who they are to each other now, and he knows she means it.

A New Marauder: Sirius Black’s “Little Brother”
Tumblr media
Summary: Eddie has his Uncle Wayne, but who better to guide Eddie through his years at Hogwarts than a fellow misunderstood metalhead?
Warnings: None, just fluff :)
A/N: I am so so happy to be doing this collab with @toomanybandstocare! This Eddie Munson HP au is going to be a blast to create, and I’m so happy I can do so with my bestie ❤️ Please stay tuned for more, and make sure to check both of our pages for updates! The masterlist is on @toomanybandstocare’s blog and linked on my main masterlist 🤗
💛🖤💛🖤
-Eddie had known Sirius since he was just a baby; Wayne had taken Sirius under his wing, so when Eddie moved in with Wayne, Sirius felt like he gained a second chance at being a big brother.
-Sirius is the one who introduced Eddie to all the bands he loves, and he takes him to his first muggle and wizard concerts: AC/DC and The Weird Sisters, both when Eddie turned eleven. It was his birthday gift and a “brother bonding time” before Eddie left for Hogwarts.
-“Sirius, he’s just a boy, you can’t take him to these concerts!”
-“Don’t worry, Wayne, he’ll be with me!”
-“That’s why I’m worried.”
-After seeing the Weird Sisters, a rush of anxiety overwhelms Eddie, so he talks to Sirius because he doesn’t trust anyone as much as he trusts Sirius.
-“It’s about Hogwarts houses,” he says. “I don’t want to be in the wrong one. What if everyone thinks I’m weird?”
-“First of all, there’s no wrong house, just the ones not cool enough to fit you. And so what if people think you’re weird? Would you rather be weird or boring?” Sirius nudges Eddie, making him giggle.
-“I guess you’re right, thanks, Sirius. Will-will you still be proud of me if I’m in Slytherin like your ‘family’?” Eddie had grown accustomed to using air quotes when talking about the Black family. Eddie knew that he and Wayne were Sirius’s new family.
-Sirius looks at him gravely and turns Eddie’s face toward him
-“If you were placed in Slytherin, I would be bursting with joy because I would know that at least one good-hearted person is in that house.”
-He holds Eddie tight, remembering his own horrifying experiences being placed in Gryffindor, being made the freak, the outsider. Sirius won’t ever let that happen to Eddie.
-Sirius isn’t able to come to drop Eddie off, but he does take Eddie to Diagon Alley to help Wayne with book-buying, but mainly to get Eddie his pet.
-Sirius, knowing Eddie, has a hunch, so he buys him a little badger and names it Jagger.
-“Jagger the Badger! Almost rhymes, right?”
-“He’s really for me?”
-“‘Course he is, silly. He’s your Hogwarts pet!”
-“I don’t think badgers are on the pet list,” Eddie worries, scanning the sheets for information. Sirius lowers them and winks at Eddie.
-“I’ll transfigure him for 24 hours to look like a black cat. After that, it’ll be too late for them to say no, and Jagger’ll be back to his badger self.”
-“Cool,” Eddie says with a goofy and awed grin. Meanwhile, Wayne shakes his head.
-“My boys.”
-Eddie says goodbye to Sirius that night, but Sirius promises that he’ll come pick him up whenever he misses him, and he’s just an owl away.
-Sirius gives the best hugs, so Eddie absolutely melts into Sirius, their leather jackets squeaking together as Sirius holds Eddie tighter until they both laugh. Then Sirius ruffles Eddie’s hair and presses their foreheads together.
-“I’ll miss ya, kid, but I’ll see you soon.”
-“Same here, Sirius. I love you.”
-“I love you too, kiddo.”
-Eddie arrives at Hogwarts and makes friends with the Weasley twins, then the Sorting Ceremony begins.
-Eddie is incredibly nervous, but he also tries to keep Sirius’s advice in the back of his mind.
-When he first hears the hat cry “Hufflepuff!” his mind fills with worry, unsure what Hufflepuff even means. He had worried for so long that he would be in Slytherin that he spent all his time looking into it, and when he had a spare moment, he researched Gryffindor, hoping he had the same qualities as his “big brother” so he could make Sirius extra proud.
-But then, he meets Cedric Diggory, a fellow Hufflepuff first-year, who explains what a Hufflepuff is.
-“My dad was in Hufflepuff like we are,” he says, gray eyes shining. “I’m Cedric, by the way.”
-“I’m Eddie, it’s nice to meet you,” Eddie says timidly. “What exactly is a Hufflepuff?”
-“Well, we’re known to be loyal, patient, just, and hardworking!” Cedric said enthusiastically.
-“I don’t know if I’ll be able to be all that,” Eddie almost whispered.
-“Hey,” Cedric said, patting Eddie’s shoulder, “by being placed in Hufflepuff, you already are all of those things. You’re going to do great, and we can be friends if you’d like.”
-“Thanks, Cedric, and I’d love to be friends,” Eddie said, perking up a bit. “Anything else I should know about Hufflepuff?”
-Cedric thought for a second. “Oh! Our house animal is a badger!”
-After hearing that, Eddie smiled to himself, thinking of Sirius. Turns out, Sirius would be proud of him for getting Hufflepuff, but it may be overshadowed by Sirius’s own pride in himself for knowing what house Eddie would be placed in.
-Eddie’s prediction is right, proven by the Howler that arrives the next day
-“EDWARD MICHAEL  MUNSON! I ABSOLUTELY KNEW IT, I JUST KNEW IT! HUFFLEPUFF HOUSE, I CAN’T BELIEVE IT! I mean, I can, I predicted it, but YES, I’M SO PROUD OF YOU, LITTLE BROTHER! And hey, while I’ve got you, do me a favor and tell Professor Snape I think he’s a--”
-An older Hufflepuff shut the Howler closed to muffle Sirius’s line of profanity, and Eddie gave her a thankful smile.
-“ANYWAY I LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU!”
-As the Howler finishes, Eddie’s ears redden, thinking he’s going to be teased for Sirius so loudly proclaiming his love, but he’s met with awed expressions.
-“You know Sirius Black?”
-“Yeah, he’s like a brother to me,” Eddie grins.
-“Wicked.”

Hii! I just wanted to tell you that I adore your Penny Verse fics! They are adorable and super sweet. I adore how you write Eddie and his relationship with the reader and their kids. Penny is super cute (the reason why she was named Penny made me emotional 🥺) and baby Wayne is just iconic.
Also, you have no idea how happy it makes me that you include both Jonathan and Argyle in your fics. As someone who loves Jonathan a lot, and like Argyle too, I'm very grateful for that. Their dynamic with the kids and Eddie is simply great!
Thank you for your fics❤️ I can't wait to read more in the future 🤗
I wish I could give you a big hug for taking the time to pop this into my askbox, thank you so much 🥺 I really, really love this little family so I try to put as much love as I can muster into what I write for them. And I’m so glad there are people out in the world who love Penny, baby Wayne and Dad!Eddie like I do!
Also, while I love the Hawkins gang, I’d prefer hanging out with the Cali gang (minus mike, insert Eddie) and I think it’s a real shame Argyle and Jonathan (who’s a main character with a main storyline!!!!) are kind of afterthoughts in a lot of fanfiction, it makes me sad that they’re not mentioned in many AUs or works, even as afterthoughts. Especially my sweet Johnny boy, he got put on the back burner in the fandom real bad :/ so I try to show them some love, too! I’m also working on a lil sumnsumn for him 👀 Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, words can’t quite express how much it means to me and how much motivation you just gave me to continue writing 💗
