gaymers, i fear i have lost the controller war.
#the usb-c port on my pc doesn't work#the bluetooth doesn't work#there is only one option left#but it's not really much of an option because it requires me#1. digging out a ps4 controller and cord from the basement and cleaning them both off#2. seeing if they can even be plugged into the only other usb port easily accessible#3. cleaning off headset and using that because i won't be able to use the mic i bought due to the controller being plugged in where it goes#problem with that part is i'm not entirely sure my piercings are healed up or not#they're still kinda tender so i'm Assuming not but i don't really know. would rather be safe than sorry#and if they Aren't then i guess it's just a matter of waiting but. the other two things are still a factor#and they aren't Impossible by any means#but it's just such a pain in the fucking ass#this whole Process has been a pain in my fucking ass. i just wanted to use a controller for p5s man.#talks.txt

the trouble with me specifically using linux is that i am simultaneously:
very, very stubborn about how i want my pc to work
just good enough at tinkering that i can usually get something to work after a lot of effort
the result is that the os that was honestly pretty stable the whole time i was a newbie, now has something break about twice a month. it's not even my homebrew applications breaking, usually—more often it's some deprecated xorg program or anything to do with graphics.

Omg I got CSP to run under Linux finally!! 😭
It doesn't like large files so far, though, and sometimes pen pressure turns off by itself, but I still have to switch systems around between my drives so this all not final anyway.
Going to test if I can get my licence registered on Linux, though. I basically don't boot Windows on PC anymore anyway, so it doesn't matter if CSP is uninstalled there.

I've been like "damn my bed is squeakibg more than usual, maybe something's finally wrong with the frame" but then just now i moved something close to the bottom frame & it's magically less noisy. Idk how that happened but. Ok.

how did my tablet develop 3 new problems literally overnight
#bluetooth stopped working even though my laptop says its connected#even when plugged in via usb it doesn't register as being connected in the wacom driver apps or w/e#and when it is plugged in I can't zoom in csp with my track pad if the pen is over the tablet#an issue so annoying I didn't even start trying to paint#I don't want to have to move my hand that much bc I am Constantly zooming in & out

my apple pencil has been broken for a few weeks now and i have Ideas and don't want to have to resort to a physical medium again but i will if i can't figure this out soon

Humanity really lost its way when we started making true wireless earbuds.

There are plenty of perfectly good and affordable phones out there with a headphone jack these people have no excuse imho.
I know it is a growing trend (that I really disapprove of) but maybe we shouldn't encourage it by acting like a headphone jack and wired headphones are lost technology and there are no other options?
