The Marauders’s Journey - Remus

Full name: Remus John Lupin

DOB: 10.03.1960

Born in: Yorkshire

Parents: Hope Lupin (née Howell) & Lyall Lupin

House: Gryffindor

In Hogwarts: 1971-1978

-was bitten by Fenrir Greyback in February 1965

-dreads his transformation every month

-is grateful to his parents for their support

-grows up lonely, as he is afraid to get close to anyone (because he doesn’t wanna hurt anyone nor have anyone find out his secret)

-is afraid of stigmatisation

-never dreamed of attending Hogwarts, so when APWBD appears to tell him he can go, he becomes forever grateful

-initially sits alone in his carriage, but is soon joined by Peter Pettigrew

-they get along well, but R is still wary of letting anyone get too close

-meets J&S later that day in their dormitory

-he likes them well enough and supports them academically

-both he and P are happy to be included in a friend group, so they don’t stop any pranks/bullying (P because he mostly enjoys it, R because he doesn’t want to lose his first and only friends)

-he is friendly to all students, but never lets anyone get too close

-is initially horrified when JSP find out about 🐺, but is even happier when they accept him

-does not approve of bullying Sev, but doesn’t say anything as he doesn’t want to lose his friends

-is beyond amazed when JSP become animagi

-they have a lot of adventures together both during the full moon and on other days

-starts thinking about his post-school future from year 5 onwards

-WWI February 1976 - R is horrified that he nearly murdered/mauled a classmate (HIS BIGGEST FEAR) and that his supposed friend just told his secret like that

-he doesn’t realise it at the time, but he never fully trusts S again after that

-he has a brief argument with S about it, but drops it because A) he doesn’t wanna lose his friends and B) he is scared S might tell again (with whatever intention)

-this is why he lets SWM happen

-he and P are the first M to befriend Lily, especially since R&L are Prefects

-he is happy for J when Jily starts

-he initially stays with his parents after graduation, but is supported financially by J

-joins the OOTP and is often sent on long missions A) because of his skills and B) to hide 🐺 better

-is one of J's groomsmen with P

-is aware that people suspect him of being a traitor

-is initially scared to hold baby Harry, but grows to love him a lot

-the last time he sees Jily is around his birthday in 1981

-he is sent on a two week Order mission in early/mid October 1981

-he is devastated when he finds out about Jily death

-cannot believe S is the traitor at first, but since no one told him about the Switch and he remembers S revealing his deepest secret (🐺), he comes to accept that S is the traitor

-moves out of his parents's house a few years later

okay so hear me out , and you don’t have to agree but

James Sirius Potter is definitely more James than Sirius

He loves pranks of course he does , he’s heard all the stories

But they are completely mother hens

The type that hate rising before noon , and absolutely use hair products

Denim jackets , sings the Beatles in the shower - possibly both own vinyl

JP protecting his friends, becoming animagi for Remus, a defender and advocate for equal rights, becomes head boy

JSP will find you if you hurt his siblings, he becomes an animagi in his sixth year (because he wants too of course, I mean who wouldn’t) but because Teddy wanted to be closer to his parents and JSP couldn’t let him do it alone

JSP too becomes head boy, and he sneaks around and stays up late and probably does all his homework last minute, but he cares too, and the newer brand of death eaters are rising and he’s sneaking around to make sure his friends are okay because no he didn’t want to let them go for a walk at midnight but what can you do when two people are in love-

JP not being lenient towards his friends , not in class and not in the halls, cause there’s a war going on and damn right he won’t allow these students to get hurt because they are sneaking out. Except he see’s how sad they look, and so maybe he lets it slide when Remus and Sirius disappear for an hour or two past curfew because two people are in love-

They both have arrogance , they do , and their heads deflate with time. JSP usually saving his teasing for his siblings, because they know he loves them.

Quidditch Captains ready to crush you on the pitch

But not off, no, unless you give them reason too, they will if they can help it keep all rivalries up in the air.

Probably would be gone for a career in quidditch , or just something active, maybe not aurors but given the climate of the time it was probably best for JP (he was an auror or have I read too much fanfiction??)

They ruffle their hair in the same way - but that might just be a potter thing

Oh they favour Gryffindor of course they do, and maybe JP will never fully trust the slytherins and maybe JSP will never stop worrying for his brother, but their power is used well, and wise and they stop to help first years who are stuck in the trick step or step in when peeves is hassling or absolutely silencing those who dare say the word mudblood.

And that one they love, they love deeply and intensely and passionately. They never stop loving them.

James gives the best hugs. Like the worlds best hugs.

Surprise hugs from the behind, excited hugs where he’d lift him off the ground, comforting hugs which he could sink into, tired hugs where James would lean on him and bleed warmth.

James was a hugger. He always had been.

Regulus loved it when they hugged.

He spent too long being jealous of other people to not spend every second he could get his hands on hugging James.

Regulus regrets not hugging him more. He should of used all the time he spent worrying about everything hugging James.

He was a fool not to.

>How he always tried to show genuine interest in the stuff he talked about. (Regulus loved classical music, and it wasn’t James taste, far from it. But he’d still let Regulus play and talk about it, and he’d still listen with full focus.)

>How he was sensitive when he was tired. (He’d rub his eyes and get a cute, sad look on his face if he was rudely awoken).

>The way his hands felt against his skin (James would place his hands on Reg’s cheeks and thumb at the apples of his cheeks).

But it’s Regulus just not knowing how to flirt with James so he’s compromising.

i really want to write an unnecessarily long fic where james and regulus finally buy a house together, and james has been tasked with all the outdoor labour. which regulus thought was a good idea cause james is really handy and good at labour based tasks. (plus regulus is no good with that).

but it back fires, as james keeps drawing eyes to himself cause he's basically doing it half naked, as it's middle of summer, mid heatwave and too hot for james to wear tops and do manual labour. so people on the street keep flirting with james, cause he's tanned, toned and sweaty, and it's driving regulus insane with jealousy.

this would quite literally just be for me. it would be a funny fic.
