Classes/School Activities I think each member of Led Zeppelin would excel at/enjoy:
1. Robert: gym, literature, football (soccer) team, choir, sex ed (😉), math (the last one just because he was almost an accountant and then I think he almost became a substitute math teacher after Karac died and he was considering quitting the band?)
2. Bonzo: gym, wood shop, metal shop, any other shop class really, drivers ed, "Motor Enthusiasts Club" (which he started himself 😁)
3. Jonesy: music history, music theory, band, marching band, jazz band, sound director for school plays, backgammon club
4. Jimmy: science, history, track team, band, charms, potions, defense against the dark arts, Dead Poet's Society

batman: the knight #5
[ID: a close-up on Bruce Wayne's face as he lays on his side. Tears are streaming down his face as he stares ahead vacantly. His nose is bloodied and there's dried blood near his mouth. He has a welt on his cheekbone and is clenching the sheet in front of him with a bruised hand - having just got beaten again after being tortured for two weeks. His internal narration reads, "... because I'm too stubborn to know when I'm done. How is this worth it? How is my stupid, undefined mission worth-". END ID]

So, I’m not very far into the book yet (page 190), but wow, Eragon sure is haunting this narrative so far. Like, I knew he would, the guy is kind of a big deal around here, and yet, I didn’t expect this much. And I just—I miss him.

The Creeping Shadow probably gave me the most engrossing reading experience of the year so far, because I spent most of yesterday and today listening to the twelve-hour audiobook (on 2x speed) while doing chores and aimlessly going around the dorms instead of studying for a midterm I seriously need to study for

Next up is “The Boy Who Cried Kidnap” by Dayle A. Dermatis. Normally I’d describe the general plot here, but well, I’m sure you’re all familiar with “The Boy Who Cried Wolf”, so yeah, you can probably just guess what the plot is. I will say however the reason nobody trusted what this particular iteration of “the boy” said wasn’t because he thought lies were funny. Rather he loved telling stories, but as he grew older he had a better grasp as for what was plausible and… less of a grasp on reality. Like, it can be legitimately hard for him to sort out what he imagined could have happened/might happen, and what was actually going on/had happened. That’s… less of an overactive imagination and more of a “call a Mindhealer”.

You's predecessors had set up watchtowers so that if the Rong attacked, drums and fires could warn the many lords, who would rush to the rescue with their retinues. Sima Qian says,
King You lit the beacons and beat the great drums. As the beacons were to be lit only when intruders drew near, the many lords all came. Upon their arrival, there were no intruders, thus Lady Bao Si laughed out loud. The king was pleased, so he lit the beacons several times. Afterwards, since this was not reliable, the many lords became more reluctant to come.
