imagine if Celestia gave an extra, personalised curse to the people they considered the perpetrators of the Cataclysm, like Khaenri'ah's sages. Imagine if Rhinedottir's was to feel the pain her children felt, especially as Celestia proceeded to send each and every one to their deaths. Imagine her feeling Durin's lingering regret and Subject Two's hatred and Elynas' mourning. Imagine if that's why she's gone MIA, because it's driving her insane. Imagine if that's why she's so isolated and emotionally unavailable to Albedo because if she was a normal parent she'd have to feel his pain more than she would now. Imagine if she can still feel it when Albedo misses her and even though he doesn't know it, both of them are crying.

Because she misses him too. But to get close would just mean more pain.

Theories on The Entropy Centre and the Earth cataclysm.

Just played TEC again recently, and had a couple ideas.

What exactly was the cataclysm? Could it be the fact they rewound Earth so many times, it caused humanity to go insane and destroy itself? Or did it cause the Earth’s core to become so unstable it exploded? Since there are no details on what the cataclysm actually was, we can only speculate. Though in my opinion, those are the two most likely scenarios.

In either case, humanity decides time and time again to ignore the data sent from TEC, which forces the repetition of Aria and Astra to continue to try and save Earth. However, as is seen in the end, nothing seems to work, no matter how many times they try.

Could it be they’re doomed to forever repeat it with no solution? A never-ending alternative time loop that can never be fixed?

OFF/Mortis Ghost tribute sketchbook drawings. Did these to commemorate replaying the game after a very long time. Last time was probably when it got popular during the Homestuck gigapause. Think of these as a drawthrough (drawing + playthrough) of the game. They are all in A5 with Nº2 graphite pencils and 0.5 and 0.05 archival ink pens, plus digital coloring through limited color palettes in Aseprite. Just as with the Yume Nikki post, I'd love to know: What's your favorite?

Patroclus’s fingers spasm. He almost drops the spear. He aims for the heart and gathers his strength. The flickering of Ares’s favor is in the blood that touches his feet, that would sink into his skin if it was still alive.

“That name means little to me here,” he says.

“Does yours also mean little to you?” Zagreus watches him closely. “Patroclus?”

His mouth moves to perfectly pronounce the syllables. Pat-ro-clus. The air around them seems to completely still. Even the shades in their eternal stands have quieted for once, no longer cheering or jeering, but listening carefully.

Patroclus brings down the spear, and the Styx rises to collect its prince, and he leaves the arena before the body has disappeared, listening to the hush whispering of the shades around him, the syllables echoing in his ears as he moves. Pat-ro-clus. Enunciated exactly the way he remembers.
