wait but which goes wrong play had the most miatakes fr 😭
Ah, let's make a fun little list, shall we!!
11. Cornley Drama Festival
A surprise to no one probably we have our lowest one here. Can't be that many mistakes when it isn't scripted, right? Well, wrong, but each part of the Cornley Drama Festival had 64 mistakes. Counted them individually because it would be unfair to add them up
Tumblr media
10. 90 Degrees
A surprise to many! This was one of the most guessed episodes for MOST mistakes. If the set hadn't been built sideways it would've been Cornley's most successful episode of all fucking time. 90 Degrees is coming in with a motherfucking whooping record of only 77 mistakes
Tumblr media
9. The Lodge
Also a shockingly low amount of mistakes, but worry not, we've already reached the hundreds! A very sweet episode with only 108 mistakes. Yes, again, a record breaking low for the society. They actually seem quite professional at this end of the list comparing to the other...
Tumblr media
8. Harper's Locket
Yes, now we're onto the good stuff... Our mistake counter is up to 110 mistakes as Harper's Locker airs and it's only gonna get better (worse)! Still quite nice!
Tumblr media
7. The Spirit of Christmas
Classic episode and very run of the mill mistake counter. Many mistakes, disastrous show, very fun! 116 mistakes that could've been slashed in half if they'd used prop alcohol for Robert.
Tumblr media
6. The Most Lamentable
Halfway there and we're coming in with a fan favourite! Just beating The Spirit of Christmas with a single mistake we have a nice and round 117 over here. Feels like it should've been more, but we're gonna have some surprise spots on this list...
Tumblr media
5. A Trial To Watch
Beating season 2's fan favourite with, once again, only one more mistake, is season 1's fan favourite, A Trial To Watch! 118 mistakes, and rightly suspected, Dennis stands for most of them! I love you, Dennis.
Tumblr media
4. The Pilot (Not The Pilot)
Of course The Pilot (Not The Pilot) is up here amongst the best (worst!) episodes, it's one of the all time classics. Standing proud with 119 mistakes it is rightfully one of the best (worst) episodes they've done
Tumblr media
3. The Nativity
And here we are with the episode that made Robert finally perform his coup. The Nativity. And, all credit where credit is due, it was, at the time, Chris' worst production thus far that prompted Robert to go for the successful coup. 120 mistakes.
Tumblr media
2. There Is No Escape
There Is No Escape truly for the Cornley Drama Society. Probably the biggest shocker here, because when I did this poll almost nobody guessed this episode. Chris got back his title as director and then immediately went and did his worst performance yet. Even worse than the episode that got him couped! 123 mistakes!
Tumblr media
1. Summer Once Again
Here we finally are... Yes, ignoring the number two spot, you were right. Of fucking course Summer Once Again had the most mistakes! Robert couped and did the worst job they've ever done! And it's not even close! The previous like 7 episodes have been like a mistake or two more than the previous. Chris' worst episode is 123 mistakes and Robert, always vying to outdo Chris, barrels down the door with 142 mistakes.

spare headcanons
straight up do not remember if i've posted about this yet but our shared Thoughts on what order the cornley gang joined in are that chris, robert, sandra, and jonathan are sort of the "core four" that were in it first... obviously 100% supportive of other takes; this canon is so loose that even if mischief came out tomorrow and shared an official list i would just be like "well that's your opinion"
anyway here's some of the reasoning:
fully cannot imagine a reality where either chris or robert were in the society without the other, so they must have joined at the same time (okay i know "40 productions since 2002" from the ppgw bio contradicts this but i am simply ignoring this) (part of the reason i'm ignoring it is because the tptgw playbill bio says he's been in the society for three years so like what is the truth).
sandra has apparently been performing since she was a child so, like, i'm sure she joined the drama society immediately. personal headcanon is that growing up in cornley she was doing shows with the drama society as a guest performer whenever they needed a child!
jonathan... this man has such little canon presence that i really can't argue for this in any way, BUT we just like to think that because he's doing the modelling, he's doing the gym stuff, he's doing a whole other gym theatre group, that at the start he was probably in the drama society's shows only sporadically. just did one every once in a while. this leads to the present day where robert is still like "jonathan's barely in this group, he's never in any of our shows!" and chris is like "robert, he's been in every show we've done for five years??" aka our headcanon as to why robert randomly omits jonathan from his line-up in drama festival part 1
and co-mod made me promise to make a post about our headcanon about the time cornley did cats so i'll be back to do that imminently

UK Christmas TV 2020: Your Guide to This Year’s Festive Specials
https://ift.tt/370S3Dq
If you’re the kind of person who tuts at pre-December Christmas trees and moans about supermarkets simultaneously stocking mince pies and Halloween goodies (don’t cross the streams!) then look away now, there’s nothing for you here.
If, however, you’re the sort of person who’s gasping for end-of-year cheer like it’s the last bottle of Evian in a hot, empty desert, then step this way. We’ve collected up all the festive TV specials airing in the UK over Christmas 2020, so you can start mentally circling the ones in your personal schedule.
It being early, there are still announcements to be made, so check back here for updates. Ditto for official air dates and times, which are thin on the ground until the channels lock in their schedules. We’ll pop back and add those in as they’re confirmed.
Starting with our top five picks, here’s a list of everything on the way…
TOP FIVE PICKS
1. Doctor Who: Revolution of the Daleks
Companions Yaz, Graham and Ryan stumble upon a Dalek threat on Earth while the Doctor’s far away and locked up in space prison. How do you fight the Daleks without the Doctor? With the help of an old friend… Festive special ‘Revolution of the Daleks’ is written by Chris Chibnall and directed by ‘Spyfall Part 2’ director Lee Haven Jones.
Air date: TBC
2. Ghosts: Christmas Special
The Ghosts Christmas special is so good, there should be a new one every year. It’s Christmas in Button House and Mike is determined to give his visiting family the perfect Christmas, if they’ll let him. And if his other family – the houseful of historical ghosts only wife Alison can see and hear – behave. 1990s MP Julian is the Ebenezer Scrooge in need of a lesson on the true meaning of Christmas in this terrific family comedy.
Air date: TBC
3. Taskmaster: Christmas Special
We don’t yet know the identities of the five contestants competing in the very first Taskmaster festive special, but we know that they are all brand new to the 10-series comedy, and have been described as “experts in their respective fields”… Fingers crossed for Christmas-themed tasks.
Air date: TBC
4. His Dark Materials Season 2 Finale: Æsahættr
Technically, there’s nothing festive about His Dark Materials (unless the BBC/HBO adaptation takes a serious diversion from Philip Pullman’s books and throws in a few elves) but there’s something very childhood-bedtime and therefore quite Christmassy about this beautiful series. It ended strong in season one, and keeps getting better in season two. This finale is due to bring The Subtle Knife to a close, making way for the final part of the trilogy in the as-yet-unconfirmed (but come on, it’s happening) third season.
Air date: Sunday 20th December, 8.10pm, BBC One
5. Roald & Beatrix, the Tail of the Curious Mouse
From the producers of Sherlock and Dracula, this festive family comedy-drama promises to be something quite special. It reimagines the real-life meeting of two of the UK’s biggest names in children’s literature: Beatrix Potter (played by Dawn French) and Roald Dahl, back when Potter was a recluse and Dahl was a child. Expect puppetry, animation, a host of guest stars and voices, and lots of snow, from Inside No. 9 director David Kerr.
Air date: TBC
COMEDY
Motherland Christmas Special
Top BBC Two parenting sitcom Motherhood returns for a festive special ahead of its third series coming next year. You are cordially invited to Amanda’s annual seasonal soiree… Anna Maxwell-Martin, Diane Morgan, Lucy Punch and Paul Ready star.
Air date: TBC
Upstart Crow: Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow: a Lockdown Christmas 1603
The stage version of Shakespeare sitcom Upstart Crow fell foul of Covid-19 earlier this year, but that hasn’t stopped the team putting together this festive lockdown two-hander special, set in London during the plague, and starring David Mitchell and Gemma Whelan as Shakespeare and Kate.
Air date: TBC
Not Going Out Christmas Special
Lee Mack’s long-running BBC One sitcom is back for another Christmas instalment, filmed under Covid-safe conditions this August. Expect a dedication to dearly departed cast member Bobby Ball.
Air date: TBC
Pandemonium
Katherine Parkinson and Alison Steadman star in this one-off BBC comedy about a family forced to cancel their dream holiday to California, who end up in Margate over the Christmas season.
Air date: TBC
Vicar of Dibley in Lockdown
Dawn French and James Fleet reprise the characters of Geraldine and Hugo in three 10-minute lockdown additions to The Vicar of Dibley canon, airing on BBC One after repeats of the original series (and then repeated later in one half-hour clump).
Air date: starts 7th December, BBC One.

Air date: TBC
Call the Midwife Christmas Special
The circus is coming to town in the Call the Midwife Christmas special, and its ringmaster will be played by former Doctor, Peter Davison. Set in 1965, it promises to be the usual mix of heart-warming goodness and flinty eyed comment on the absolute golden necessity of the NHS.
Air date: 25th December, 7pm, BBC One
Black Narcissus
Gemma Arterton and Diana Rigg star in a new BBC three-part adaptation of Rumer Godden’s strange, atmospheric novel – famously adapted into a film in 1947 – about a group of nuns in a remote Himalayan outpost.

Air date: TBC
Zog and the Flying Doctors
Continuing from last year’s utterly charming Zog, this is the fairy tale-bending story of a dragon, a princess and a knight, who all decide to choose a different path in life than the one set out for them. It’s the seventh Julia Donaldon/Axel Scheffler/BBC Christmas adaptation, and promises to be another funny, adorable half hour of TV.
Air date: 25th December, 4.55pm, BBC One
Jack and the Beanstalk: After Ever After
After last year’s Cinderella sequel from David Walliams and Sky One comes the ‘what happened next’ for panto classic Jack and the Beanstalk. Walliams and Sheridan Smith star in this comedy special. There’s a Hansel & Gretel: After Ever After next in the pipeline.
Air date: TBC
Quentin Blake’s Clown
Here’s another lovely half-hour of quiet time with the kids from Channel 4, from the same people who made previous years’ animations of children’s classics The Tiger Who Came To Tea and We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. It’s the story of a discarded clown toy who comes to life and goes on an adventure to find a new home for him and his toy pals. Helena Bonham Carter narrates.
Air date: TBC
Christmas in Storyland
The CBeebies gang is back for another Christmas story featuring a cast of favourites, singing, dancing and interactive fun for little ones.

Knowing that everyone has their own Mischief theater head cannons when it comes to the characters sexuality, I'm surprised no one here has done a deep dive analysis of the character's reaction in TGWS S2 E4 during Vanessa's improv segment when they hear the suggestion "lust." (I sent this ask before, sorry if you got a repeat!)
(I have tried replying to your first ask but tumblr hates me apparently so let's try again)
Hi anon! Ooh this is an interesting idea! Let's do a mini analysis of everyone's reactions during that scene. You (and anyone else) are free to share your thoughts as well :)
First let's start with the scene:
Now let's break down everyone's reactions, starting with Vanessa:
Tumblr media
Surprise and then a nervous, excited giggle that starts small and then grows. She gives a quick glance at the audience member before looking back at someone. Could either be Dennis or Sandra, you decide :) Her hands go down, and her right hand clutches her left pointer finger. She also takes a step back
Tumblr media
Jonathan:
Tumblr media
He perhaps has the smallest reaction. Mainly stares ahead but he chuckles a bit and turns his head to glance at Vanessa. His thumb is moving back and forth but when he glances at Vanessa, his thumb stops momentarily before it moves again
Chris:
Tumblr media
He turns his head to stare daggers at someone in the audience (presumably the person who shouted out "lust") and adopts his annoyed Chris look- notice the frown. He then glances at Vanessa and then back at the audience and then back at Vanessa, all with a tight lip. That is until the very end where he relaxes his mouth a bit (but still has a stern look) when Vanessa starts asking for one last suggestion
Robert:
Tumblr media
He glances at the audience with a look of surprise (raised eyebrows). His eyes then shifts to Vanessa before he quickly glances back to the audience with furrowed eyebrows and a look of confusion(?)
Dennis:
Tumblr media
Kinda hard to see but it looks like he keeps his confused, concerned smile the whole time. I guess it's worth nothing that he has been looking at Vanessa, and then after the audience member shouts out "lust", he turns his head towards them before glancing back at Vanessa and then kinda staring off into the distance
Sandra:
Tumblr media
She has the most movement after Vanessa. She adjusts her whole body. Her eyes quickly shifts to the audience before glancing back at Vanessa. With a half smirk half smile, she nods her head and glances down. Actually I take back what I said earlier, I am now pretty sure that Vanessa looks back at Sandra, and Sandra gives her a nod of approval(?)
Max:
Tumblr media
The man's confused. He takes a second to process the suggestion, furrowing his hairless eyebrows in confusion before turning his head to look at the audience almost with concern. He then turns to look at Vanessa as if he's gauging her reaction while relaxing his eyebrowless eyebrows
And last but not least, Annie
Tumblr media
She keeps her gaze on Vanessa for a bit before turning her head to look at the audience with a grin. She also shifts her body a bit (to get a better look at the audience member I guess). And then she goes into a smile when she looks back at Vanessa. Next to Vanessa, I'll say she is the most excited about this suggestion
Overall what I got was that the girls were excited/please by the suggestion while the boys were confused. And of course, everyone was surprised haha. Feel free to share your thoughts! I'd love to hear them :Did you interpret their reactions differently? What do their reactions mean? Let me know! (I am too tired to decide right now haha)
Thanks for the ask!
