So the other day I was talking to a friend about the autism creature and I accidentally called it the "autism monster". And I thought about the concept and I thought it was hilarious.
So I thought I'd actually draw it, and here's what came out of it lol
thoughts on the froglike animated version of gollum compared to the live action one? i'm imagining the ring having Slight mutative properties to keep its bearer alive longer. Smeagle likes fish, and so does Gollum, so it throws in some webbed hands and feet to enhance the fish catching. you have to wonder, what mutations would it give to others?
OH, yeah, I fully adore the Rankin-Bass animated version of Gollum. He's definitely the most out-there but probably also my favorite take on him from any official adaptation, if I'm being honest. What an unsettling and pitiful creature: the primate ears, the froglike proportions and sad, bulging eyes; the patagium, the scraggly patches of fur-- ugh, ew, 10/10. Look at this little freak:
he's wonderful. And the implication that the Ring could have shaped him into this from a hobbit-looking natural form is just... ugh. SO good.
somehow the projects that have absolutely no audience are the most exciting. I just started a crossover comic for MASH and Dungeon Meshi. I may be losing it
