I guess this post is kind of a cry for help(?)

I love writing and have severe ADHD that has been hindering my passion for months on end now, which makes me feel profoundly depressed

I absolutely need to find the strength to write again and thought that if I shared my WIPs and fic ideas with a short explanation, and found people who would be interested in reading them, I might find that strength because, you know, accountability and all that (am I delulu?)

So here is the list so far (all titles are temporary):

Broken Souls and Apple Pies (WIP): Devil Wears Prada, Mirandy, +70k words planned, canon divergence, hurt/comfort, slow burn, idiots in love, family reunion – Miranda reunites with an unexpected element from her past thanks to Andy, that element then reunites them

The Eveningstar (WIP): The Sandman, Dreamingstar (Morpheus/Lucifer), canon non-compliant, slow burn, slight angst, exes to ennemies to lovers, family reunion – Lucifer convinces Morpheus to help them with personal matters; Morpheus discovers a secret that the Ruler of Hell has kept from him for over a century

Animi Metamorphosis (idea): Wednesday, Larissa/Shapeshifter!OC, canon-non-compliant (Larissa is alive) and post-canon, hurt/comfort, slow burn, repressed feelings, found family, self-acceptance – There is a new music teacher at Nevermore; Larissa gets a bit too involved

Redemption (WIP) with @magnoliamei: Okja, Lucy/Male!OC, canon non-compliant (Mija is replaced by an OC), family reunion, exes to ennemies to lovers

The Balancing Act (idea): Good Omens, Crowley/Aziraphale, canon divergence, slight angst, Ineffable Family – After Aziraphale returns to Heaven, Crowley discovers a celestial being apparently born from their love, a neutral force embodying balance. As Crowley navigates the challenges of single parenthood, Aziraphale’s visit to Earth leads him to reconsider his allegiance to Heaven and rekindle his feelings for Crowley

I shall take away thy heart of stone (idea): The Personal History of David Copperfield, Jane Murdstone/Maid!OC, secret relationship, escape to freedom, angst – A young maid falls in love with her stern mistress, Jane Murdstone, leading to a forbidden and hidden affair. When Jane's brother intervenes, Jane must risk everything to rescue her beloved and escape to a new life together

Apart from those, I also wanted to open my requests for people to send prompts (I suppose writing short one-shots/ficlets would also help me get back into writing).

An ALOHA reunion between Emma Stone (“Poor Things”) & Bradley Cooper (“Maestro”)

*B-Coop, you may not get an actor nod, but you most definitely deserves Best Director recognition for MAESTRO.

*While Colman was excellent in RUSTIN, and I would love for him to get nominated for that, THE COLOR PURPLE as the performance for me.

SHAME reunion with Carey Mulligan (“Maestro”) & Michael Fassbender (“The Killer”)

*Carey is sensational in MAESTRO and I hope she and her team don't push her for Supporting because she is quite frankly the lead. She even has top billing over Bradley Cooper. He has always asserted that the film is more about Lenny and Felicia and it's more her story.

*May December wasn't to my liking and surprisingly Charles Melton was wonderful. But I'm all about NYAD and if Bening isn't nominated for Best Actress it will be a crime.

Disney Princesses Halle Bailey (“The Little Mermaid”, “The Color Purple”) & Rachel Zegler (“The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes”)

*The struggle to hide that pregnancy is real.

Jeffrey Wright (“American Fiction”) & Taraji P. Henson (“The Color Purple”)

*He's the lead in AMERICAN FICTION but he gave RUSTIN the punch it needed in his small role.

Greta Lee (“Past Lives”) & Andrew Scott (“All of Us Strangers”)

*ALL OF US STRANGERS was very affecting. I thought it too navel-gazing at first, but it blossomed over me much later.

Natalie Portman (“May December”) & Paul Mescal (“All of Us Strangers”)

*Mescal was in the film CARMEN directed by and conceived by Portman's philandering husband Benjamin Millipied. The screening happened before his affair allegations came out, but after the Q&A someone commented to me that Benjamin and his lead Melissa Barrera looked too comfortable with each other and bet they had slept together at least once. I just chalked it up to him being French. But maybe?

Alden Ehrenreich (“Fair Play,” “Oppenheimer”) & Da’Vine Joy Randolph (“The Holdovers”)

*I've been a fan of Ehrenreich since the wretched BEAUTIFUL CREATURES so I love all the attention and acclaim he's getting. But male voters hate weak male characters (which is why I'm worried that Leonardo DiCaprio will be snubbed for his performance in KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON. Every man I've spoken to about it hated his character - not because of his actions - but because he was weak and stupid. And Leo's character has nothing on Ehrenreich's soppy Luke. There's a meme about people being weak in the knees and needing to stand up. Nah, Luke needed to sit his ass down.).

However, Da'Vine Joy Randolph seems to be a lock. The trio of Randolph, Paul Giamatti and Dominic Sessa in THE HOLDOVERS deserve any nominations they may receive.

The SAG Awards ended about an hour ago. Not a Harkle to be seen or mentioned! Next we wait and see if they pop up at the parties. I’ll be checking on Monday morning for this.

However, Elizabeth Debicki did win Leading Actress in a Drama Series for her work on Season 6 of The Crown. It was surprising. Not in a bad way, I just thought there were other performances that were better. (I did like her Diana though. She’s one of the better Dianas for me, though I do wonder how much her win is for Diana nostalgia.)

Another surprise from the SAG Awards was Pedro Pascal winning for The Last of Us over one of the Succession guys - incredibly well-deserved.

Loved that Lily Gladstone won for Leading Actress in Film. She’s my pick for the Oscar but I’m leaning towards Emma Stone getting it because the Academy loves weird quirky performances like that. (The two paths for an Oscar is weird and quirky or historic and biographical. Killers of the Flower Moon, while being biographical, isn’t usually the historic vibe that the Academy goes for.) But Lily getting the SAG does boost her chances for getting the Oscar since the momentum is on her side now.

But the best part was the Devil Wears Prada reunion. Always fab.

The sun was just starting to set, casting long shadows over Alexandria, the quiet community that had become a fragile refuge against the chaos of the world beyond its walls. You stood there, heart racing, the cool metal of the gun weighty in your palm, still echoing with the tension of the moment. Negan, the man who had once been your husband the father of your son Mason, who you thought was dead, stood in front of you, the very embodiment of chaos with that trademark smirk spread across his lips. Rick just walked into town and saw what happened.

Spencer's lifeless body lay on the ground, a stark reminder of the brutal reality you had all stepped into. He had been a pain in the ass, sure, but watching Negan twist that knife into him reopened a wound you thought had healed—the ache of loss and betrayal. You had been moving forward with Rick, trying to carve out a semblance of normalcy for your son, and here was Negan to remind you of all the darkness in your past.

The moment the gun fired, you had acted on instinct. You thought you could scare him, assert your control over this situation, but the shot had gone wild. Instead of striking Negan, the bullet had lodged harmlessly in the wood of a nearby fence. With a laugh that carried an unsettling mix of delight and madness, Negan tilted his head and looked you squarely in the eye.

“Well, that just ain’t right,” he said, his voice a teasing drawl that sent a shiver down your spine.

Your heart raced as you shifted your weight, the world around you having fallen silent in the aftermath of the violence. You could feel Rick's presence behind you, a steady reminder of the life you’d tried to build after everything. You knew he’d be ready to step in, but you also knew that this was your mess to sort out.

“Get away from him,” you finally managed to say, your voice steady despite the storm of emotions swirling within you.

Negan chuckled darkly, stepping closer, his eyes sparkling with an unsettling glee. “And what? You think Rick here can save you? You pulled the trigger, sweetheart. You’ve got some fight in you even in the wake of tragedy.”

Rick’s hand brushed against your shoulders protectively but you stepped forward, putting yourself between them. “This isn’t about him. It’s about you and your games. You need to leave.”

He flashed that charming, yet dangerous grin—the same one that had filled you with both passion and fear all those years ago. “Oh, but I’m just getting started. I thought we could have a real family reunion. I even brought a present.” He gestured dramatically behind him, where a few of his more loyal followers hovered, lurking in the shadows.

You felt your breath hitch, instinctively reaching for Rick's hand. You understood that the threat loomed large, but you felt an unstoppable urge to face it head-on. “You think you can come here, kill Spencer, and waltz back into my life like it’s nothing?”

“Because that’s exactly what I’m doing,” Negan replied, bold as brass and utterly unapologetic. “You think you’ve moved on? Rick’s a nice guy, but he ain’t ever gonna fill the shoes I left behind.”

With trembling hands, you turned to Rick. His expression was calm, but you could see the tension in the set of his jaw. “Stay back,” you told him softly, your eyes locked onto Negan's as you tried to process the whirlwind of emotions crashing around you.

But Rick shook his head. “We need to be smart about this. We can’t let him provoke us into making a mistake.”

Negan scoffed. “Oh, Rick, don’t be such a downer. Where’s the fun in being smart?” He took a step forward, and for a split second, you could see the uncertainty in his eyes—flashes of the man you used to know mixed in with the monster he had become.

“Negan,” you said, your voice steady. “You’re not welcome here. You need to leave this place. You’re a threat to everyone we care about.”

He studied you carefully, the playful glint in his eyes faltering for just a second, replaced by something deeper, something unrecognizable. “You think I’m just going to turn around and go? You don’t get to order me around anymore. You think because you’ve got Rick on your arm, you’ve got it all figured out?”

“I don’t want to fight you,” you replied, the truth of the words hitting you harder than you expected. “I just want to protect my family.”

“Family?” Negan repeated, disbelieving. “You mean the one you left behind?”

In that moment, all the pain, all the memories—two lives shattered by his choices—washed over you. The day you lost him to the world, how close you had been to breaking entirely. But you had found strength in Rick, found laughter in Carl, and shared dreams for a future. “Yes, that family you mean the family you cheated on me with my best friend and you thought I didn't know? My son Matteo and i are just fine now ” you asserted, your voice rising with every word.

The tension thickened as Negan stared you down, his expression unreadable—was it anger? Pain? Or was it just that sick, twisted enjoyment he so often wore like armor? And then, without warning, he stepped back, raising his hands in mock surrender.

“Alright, alright. I get it, babe. Life goes on, huh?”

As confusion washed over you, you didn’t want to take your eyes off him, ready for any sign that he might turn violent again. “You’re a danger to us all,” you warned.

“Oh, I’m not here to fight,” he said, his smirk returned, unsettling but oddly charming. “I just wanted to see you, to remind you of what you gave up.”

Behind you, Rick took a deep breath. “You need to leave now, or we’ll call the others.”

Negan shrugged, unaffected. “You think you can scare me with your little community? Sweetheart, I’ve taken down more than what you’ve got in that pretty little box.”

The tension was unbearable, swirling around like a storm ready to erupt at any moment. “Where are the others?” you demanded, scanning the shadows.

“Relax, they’re just here to back me up if things got messy,” Negan replied casually before offering you one last glance. “But you know where to find me, right? I’ll be waiting, just in case you decide you made a mistake.”

Before you could respond, he turned on his heel and walked away, his followers glancing nervously at Rick before retreating into the dimming light. You stood frozen, adrenaline still coursing through your body as Rick moved closer, wrapping his arms around you.

“Are you okay?” he whispered.

You couldn’t breathe, ideas swirling through your mind. The danger wasn’t over. Not now. “No. This isn’t over. It’s only just begun.”

“I won’t let him hurt you, or Carl,” Rick vowed, his voice low but fierce.

you smiled looking at your son Mason and Carl and Rick all huddled up behind you

you take in the moment to feel relieved that Rick came back just in time but now you're worried about what Negan will do now that he knows you're with Rick.

DEVIL WEARS PRADA REUNION

Man I know this is a crime show and the focus is the criminals and their minds but I love all the little domestic moments we get, the karaoke and baseball and I wish we got more of that.......it breathes so much more life into the characters.........I just really wish we'd gotten a devil wears Prada opening style monologue of all the BAU members getting dressed, like I wanna see Hatch's aisles of identical looking suits, JJ doing her perfect hair, Reid stumbling around blind picking outfits because there's no way he put thought into anything he wore

This is a criminal show but I live for the side stories and their little moment together.

It is really sweet to have some moments like this, I wished we had more. Their little hangouts are adorable and it's so nice.

You're so right for that.

Also, I would have loved an opening like that! Just to see their routine every day. Oh it would have been great. 😫😫

And on that topic, it would have been great if we had a little Reid/ Morgan reunion after he left. Especially after the whole prison arc.
