Digital art I made, it’s my interpretation or Rodney’s family. Seven brothers and a dad are mentioned in the show, as is his mom being dead in bonus stuff. Scott being his cousin is my headcanon though.

Personalities because why not?

Daryl: Has been a single father for 16 years now, wife got into her tractor-molasses accident and passed away a year after having the twins. He’s very stoic on the outside, but actually very emotional. He’s got eight boys. He’s trying his best, lol. Often not available due to how busy he is at his job. Leaves the farm to his sons for the most part.

Richard: Lax, smokes weed, probably was part of a Portland polycule for a while, maybe still is. Not very responsible, he’s the only child to have left the family farm. Sometimes comes to crash at the farmhouse with one of his partners- everyone’s just gotten used to it at this point.

Ryan: The ‘mom’. Took up a bunch of household responsibilities after his mom died, including cooking and helping to raise some of his younger brothers. He’s very patient and responsible, and dislikes his older brother’s lazy attitude. More focused on the family than any kind of relationship, though he’d like to get married and have kids of his own some day.

Rodney: Helps his brother Ryan with managing the farm. Not as much with the house though, more with the actual farm itself. Similar to how he was on Pahkitew, just more mature with relationships. Pansexual, but he still can’t talk to his crushes without getting extremely flustered.

Robert ‘Robbie’: The rebellious one. Drinks and smokes with Richard, which upsets Ryan to no end. Robbie doesn’t care though. Shortest brother and he hates it. All of the tallness went to his number neighbor brothers. Kind of a bully, but nothing too serious. Has had a crush on this girl who works at the library, Connie, for the longest time. Unfortunately he inherited Rodney’s way with words when it comes to crushes, and hasn’t made much progress with her.

Roy: Quiet and Stoic, Roy is Dawn-ish. His speech is very formal, though he’s often just staring into space. Attracts animals by doing nothing. Not interested in romance at all. Aro/Ace. Robbie used to try to pick on him but gave up after Roy never reacted. Refuses to wear jeans.

Rowan: The smart one, he’s just graduated High school and wants to go to a really nice college. Has a bad habit of looking down on his brothers because of their low intelligence or weird mannerisms. Into a lot of nerdy things, he doesn’t have a lot of people to share his interests with that’ll know what he’s talking about. He’s hoping to find a girlfriend in college that shares his interests.

Ryder: The older of the two twins, Ryder gets along well with Ryan and Rodney, who he spends a lot of time with. He’s introverted and quiet, but not like Roy is. Very kind, but can be a little self-sacrificing. Raphie tries to include him when him and his friends do things, but he just doesn’t quite connect. Undecided when it comes to attraction, he’s got other things on his mind too often. Artsy.

Ralph ‘Ralphie’: Sporty and outgoing, he’s the younger twin and youngest child. Kind of a Himbo, he knows he’s not the smartest, but he’s got a big heart. Looks out for Ryder, who he’s constantly worried about. Gay, He and his boyfriend Archie have been dating for two years now. Comes into conflict with Rowan and Robbie often, especially when Robbie tries to pick on Ryder.

A new list of headcanons for the updated AU

Lotf headcanons

Jack:

Jack is Ralph’s academic rival and also head of the debate team. He spends the weekends at his father’s business, learning how to run the company. On the Saturday nights, he goes to an underground club in a fight ring thing. Nobody knows he does it, even though Ralph also spends time there.

Jack is dyslexic and has minor and manageable OCD, denying using extra help for his dyslexia in classes.

Comes from a wealthy family with 6 siblings, his father divorcing his mother and marrying his step-mother who he pushes away because he’s angsty and shes “not his real mother.”

Loves 80s music so much, he’s a nerd for it.

Sings in the shower/bathroom like into a hairbrush in front of the mirror in his little towel like a nerd but he’s actually really good at singing.

Wears his uniform extremely sharply and very crisp like why so much effort.

He has hearing loss due to an accident in his childhood and he’s fluent in ASL, but doesn’t wear his hearing aids almost ever.

Ralph:

Ralph is fluent in violin, he’s actually really good at playing, he was also an ocean lifeguard and saved Jack’s life when he got caught in a current.

He wears thick framed glasses to read and has really swoopy handwriting thats illegible because it’s like messy calligraphy.

Ralph dives as a hobby and is so good at it, like scary good at diving perfectly.

He has beauty marks on his face that he lets people trace sometimes, ink usually adorning his cheeks.

Very French, extremely French. Fluent in the language.

Draws on his hands with different coloured pens and the designs are always so intricate like a mandala colouring book.

Also draws on the cuffs of his jeans and the rubber edge of his sneakers all the time.

Blushes very easily, will go red in a matter of seconds flat either when he’s flustered, embarrassed or angry.

Brothers with Robert.

Simon:

Spends all of his out of school time in his mother’s flower shop and can recite the meaning of most flowers if you ask him. His fingers are all bandaged up because of how much he cuts himself with knives when he’s removing stems or clippers.

He has epilepsy and faints frequently.

Is a fan of older musicals, like Grease, Dirty Dancing and Hairspray and makes the choir watch them with him.

Rarely spends time indoors, Simon is usually out biking around the neighbourhood or walking around with his friends from school.

Will paint rocks and gift them to people when he thinks they’re upset. Also does face painting at the school carnivals, because he never minds being alone in a booth when there is nobody there.

Speaks softly and is usually ignored in favour of people with louder opinions, but he’s usually right.

Roger:

His biological family died in a house accident, the only thing surviving being him and his cat Nastya, who he loves more than anything. Because of his parents death, he taught himself the rest of the Russian language, which they were already teaching him along with English. However, his heritage is East Asian and Russian.

He pierced his lip by himself, and even though it turned out fine, he got his ears done professionally.

Not very affectionate and will push people away, distancing himself because he doesn’t like the idea of anyone being close to him and get under his skin.

Dyed the back part of his hair on a whim and just liked it enough to keep it as a style.

Spends nights at Simon’s place instead of his own, finding more comfort in Simon’s house.

Sam:

Comes from a German family, but knows German, Italian and English.

He hates birthdays because he doesn’t understand why they are so important.

Hates social interactions and actively avoids them with a passion. He gets extremely nervous and just leaves abruptly when he gets too overwhelmed.

Younger than Eric by 6 minutes, which he routinely gets teased for.

Into super cheesy romantic movies because he loves the idea of a happy ending despite not having one himself.

Messes with his hair when he’s anxious, so it’s constantly messy and mussed.

Mega nail biter when he’s nervous.

Cousins with Jack.

Maurice:

Heavily touch reliant and when his friends don’t show him physical affection, he assumes the worst and gets very upset.

Heavily Italian, like so fucking Italian. His family hardly speaks English and he learned most of his from school.

Very passionate about science despite most people thinking he’s an idiot. He has some of the highest marks in his class.

Messes with things when he’s talking or uses hand gestures. Like if there’s a pen, he’s clicking it because it helps him concentrate.

Maurice has like a billion flannels and hoodies he just cycles through and it looks like he doesn’t change but no, it’s just that he owns a gazillion grey hoodies

His older sister when to an Ivy League school, so he owns a lot of stuff from it that he wears like sweaters or ball caps.

Eric:

Very sarcastic. his entire sense of humour is him bathing in his own sarcasm. It’s actually pretty well timed and kind of funny how he’s able to deadpan his jokes.

Very easily picks up on languages. He’s fluent or close to fluent in German, English, Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese and partly fluent in Korean.

Really enjoys computer science and plans on doing it for a living. He stays up late at night to work and sleeps until like midday.

Doesn’t acknowledge other people’s emotions very often because he doesn’t realise when he’s gone too far, but still feels bad for others when they’re hurt.

Jack’s favourite cousin because they’re cynical buddies. Jack is overly protective of him even though Eric is perfectly capable.

Robert:

Brothers with Ralph and is very protective over him. Has absolutely slandered choir members before for hating on Ralph.

Shares a dad with Ralph but has a different mom, who he visits over the summer and sometimes during the holidays. That’s where he gets his Spanish roots from, which is a language he’s fluent in. He has 7 siblings on that side of his family.

Adores burnt popcorn and burnt anything. If he can burn it, he will.

Works as a mechanic in his free time and built the car he shares with Ralph.

Sci-Fi nerd, specifically Star Wars. He loves the movies and watches them like every day.

Extremely talented artist, Robert sketches anytime he has a pencil and paper.

Peter:

Was bullied in the past but doesn’t let the words bother him anymore. It mostly stopped around high school.

Works with his auntie in the sweet shop and brings his friends food for them to taste test.

Used to be a boy scout, so he can tie any knot you want him to, it’s really a gift.

Gets very cold very easily, especially his fingertips. He usually has a pair of gloves on him for when it gets really bad.

A Mathlete for most of his time in high school, obviously is extremely intelligent.

Double knots his shoelaces so they’re extra secure.

Bill:

Swedish, and really enjoys his own culture. He will spend HOURS rambling about it and how much he loves it.

Watches Avatar the Last Airbender and has the biggest crushes on Sokka and Zuko.

Also is a sucker for people who wear glasses, he really loves them.

Works at the library despite not liking books, he finds comfort in shelving them and the order they go in.

Puts little umbrellas in every single drink he has, it doesn’t matter what it is.

Writes notes to himself on sticky notes because his memory is horrible.

Sets at least 5 alarms because 1 will not wake him up by itself.

Harold:

Can speak limited Spanish due to his schooling.

Likes singing, but never really got into it like some choir members because he has stage fright.

Powerful speaker when he wants to be, but is usually too nervous to say anything.

Has no idea how to tie a tie, so he lets other people do it for him.

Sometimes take sarcastic comments seriously and ends up confused.

A really good actor and loves the performing arts.

Has extremely clear skin, he never gets any blemishes.

Wilfred:

Dyed his hair because his naturally brown hair reminds him too much of his father, who he hates.

Has 4 tattoos in total, the 4 card suits on his cheek, a half sleeve of roses, a bow and olive branch on his inner forearm, and the solar system on his outer forearm.

Very flirtatious to people he doesn’t really like but gets nervous around those he does.

Hold grudges really well.

Has shockingly neat handwriting.

Has a pretty horrible home life but he never talks about it to anyone because he doesn’t want to be perceived as weak or incapable.

Colours with only crayons.

Percival:

Cries easily, as he’s very emotionally driven and is typically teased for being a crybaby or told to “toughen up.”

Absolutely has the worst sleep schedule ever, he gets 3 hours and calls it a win.

Can’t sleep without a nightlight on in his room.

Enjoys writing things down in this notebook instead of on his phone because he likes the feeling of physically using pen and paper.

Sends letters to people all the time instead of messaging.

Good at sewing, he makes his own Halloween costume every year by himself.

Hates horror movies because he’s spooked easily.

Max:

Lived through a house fire when he was younger, so he has burn scars all over his arms.

Is afraid of cooking due to the fire and will go without eating if he has to touch the stove to make food.

Laid back most of the time, but can reach a snapping point in which the emotion is amplified. (like sadness or anger)

Loves swimming, it doesn’t matter where he does it, he just loves to swim.

Is very time sensitive and has to get places early or directly on time or else he gets anxious.

A very fast reader, typically long books take him 2-3 days to get through.

Johnny:

Worries a lot, he usually sees the worst in every single situation.

Is a trans male (Ftm) and was accepted by his entire family when he came out.

Owns a St. Bernard named Dolly who is the sweetest dog ever.

Spends a lot of time outdoors, he still plays as if he is a child.

Also enjoys the snow a lot because he’s fond of building snowmen with the kids on his street.

Has very sensitive skin and eczema, which he doesn’t like to talk about or show anyone because it makes him feel insecure.

Oddly good at playing guitar, he just picks up on chords with ease.

Walter:

Good at playing the drums and annoys his entire family with it.

Uses a skateboard as his main method of transportation around places.

On the basketball team, as his older brother taught him to play when they were both younger.

Hates roller skating despite being very good at most things on wheels. He can never find his balance.

Shockingly good at Math, especially statistics and calculus. He’s in all advanced math courses.

Has a very weird snake addiction and he desperately wants to buy one.

Henry:

Aromantic Asexual who is best friends with Harold and Wilfred.

Mainly makes snippy remarks because his humour falls into the sarcasm umbrella.

Adores comic books and superheroes, specifically Marvel ones because he’s a fan of Dare Devil.

Plays baseball in his free time but hasn’t joined a team, he just plays with the boys in his neighbourhood.

Addicted to the High School Musical movies.

powers/special abilities —

HOST OF THE NOVA FORCE.

SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH: He’s able to change the Nova Force to increase his physical strength to vast levels. The full extent of this is unknown but with his best show can destroy everything within three miles. The Nova Force grants Rider sufficient strength and power to engage and even stalemate the likes of the Silver Surfer in combat.

SUPERHUMAN SPEED: If Richard channels the Nova Force properly, he can grant himself the ability to run or move at speeds beyond the physical limits of Human athletes. The limit of his speed isn’t known but he can run several hundred miles an hour or move faster than light.

SUPERHUMAN STAMINA: Due to the Nova Force's augmentation of his musculature, Rider's muscles produce considerably less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of a normal human. While the full limits of his stamina are unknown, he is able to exert himself physically for at least 24 hours before fatigue toxins impair him.

SUPERHUMAN DURABILITY: Richard’s body is highly resistant to all forms of conventional physical injury. He can withstand high caliber bullets, falls from tremendous heights, exposure to extremes in both temperature and pressure, powerful energy blasts, acidic corrosives, and tremendous impact forces without sustaining injury. While employing the Nova Force, Rider can easily withstand the rigors of deep space indefinitely.

SUPERHUMAN ACCURACY: He can shoot beams of energy with an accuracy of millimeters.

REGENERATIVE HEALING FACTOR: Richard can use the Nova Force to heal any injuries or bodily tissues. This wont work on regenerating lost limbs.

FLIGHT: He can use the Nova Force to propel himself through the air at tremendous speeds. Rich is fully capable of achieving faster than light velocities and can enter and traverse hyperspace, which he often does while traveling through space. However, moving as such speeds while in the atmosphere of a planet would cause devastation to the planet itself, so he travels much slower while within a planetary atmosphere.

ENERGY GENERATION: He can channel the Nova Force and expel the energy in the form of extremely powerful concussive blasts that he often uses in combat situations. A few of the abilities he has shown are:

the ability to manipulate the Nova Force to create hyperspace portals in space such as Space Gates.

the ability to release extremely powerful gravimetric pulses and beams, either from specific parts of his body or from his whole body surface.

the ability to emit powerful electromagnetic discharges that can nullify gravity.

XANDARIAN WORLDMIND: Aside from housing the Nova Force, Rider is also one of the hosts of the Xandarian Worldmind along with Sam being the other who can use it. The Worldmind is a sentient collective created to govern and maintain all forms of Xandarian culture. The Worldmind contains all knowledge collected by the Xandarian people including art, science, history, and philosophy. Richard can access any aspect of this technology by communicating with the Worldmind verbally or mentally. As a result, The Worldmind often contacts Rider unbidden and usually offers advice, instructions, insights, recommendations, and even criticisms. His bond with the Worldmind is highly useful, however, also in the fact that the Worldmind is crucial in helping Rider maintain self control, mood, and his mental stability. 

Other capabilities demonstrated by the Worldmind:

Helps Rich contain the Nova Force while keeping his mind and sanity intact.

Downloads profiles of opponents directly into Rider's mind.

Detects nearby energy surges, including those used in teleportation.

Can assume control of Rider's body as he sleeps.

Access other computer systems, including heavily-protected terrestrial computer networks.

Analyze attackers, including detecting adrenaline surges in their bodies.

Detects approaching super-humans with energy-based powers.

Enables Rider to hack into satellite TV broadcasts, and transmit his voice and image to individual TV sets.

Can protect Rider from psionic manipulation using Psi-shields.

SKILLED COMBATANT.

equipment —

NOVA UNIFORM: To further stabilize Rich during his manipulation of the Nova Force, the Worldmind has specifically modified Rider's Nova uniform. The material of the uniform helps to contain and regulate some of Rider's powers by siphoning some of the energies of the Nova Force. The uniform also contains inhibitors that can manipulate various hormones in Richard’s brain for the purpose of moderating his moods as needed. The uniform also has self-repairing capabilities, allowing it to seal rips and tears on its own.

The helmet contains radio circuitry enabling Nova to pick up radio transmissions, monitor transmissions, telescopic sights, night vision sensors, and heat imaging sensors, as well as overlay a visual heads-up display for tracking energy signatures. Nova's helmet has a rigid construction and shape when worn, but becomes as malleable as cloth when it is not, allowing him to hide it in his civilian clothes when desired.

three headcanons —

Both of the Rider children are living in space for their own separate reasons. His little brother, is on a dark path that he feels comfortable sticking with. Richard and their mother have tried to bring him back from the Raptors but that choice is cemented after a life has been built. Richard lives a life that’s the complete opposite, a war hero who feels comfort in living among the stars. Their mother, Gloria sets aside some money for their rare trips back to Earth. The currency in the galaxy is different and their credits are useless down on their home planet. When Rich came back seven years after the ban started his mother gave him some of that money that was set aside so he could get by until finding a proper job.

Richard has lost count of how many wars he has taken part in but the galaxy recognizes him as a veteran for it. His name is well known for his service. He qualifies for a free therapist as a result of this and has started regularly going to see her in Halfworld. His sanity is hanging by a very thin thread at all times. Rich can’t drink away his mental illness and trauma no matter how much he tries to. He struggles with depression, some post-traumatic stress disorder, and the rest of his problems is a long list. The therapy is genuinely helping and he makes a point to go every week. It’s important to him!

Peter Quill is his best friend but they met when they were fairly young — way before Guardians of the Galaxy were formed. Richard was new to being in space and Peter was still traveling around with Yondu and the other Ravagers. They quickly bonded over their love for music, since Rich has a library downloaded into his helmet after all. They became very close as they would go on many adventures together. The two of them are fairly reckless and sometimes Yondu  would show up to bail them out of trouble. Who was cautious about Richard at first since he’s a Nova but would soon welcome the boy to stop by whenever he would like. Maybe it was nice to see Peter getting to interact with someone his own age for once. They continued to remain best friends over the course of their lives and still are to this day. The two of them have been through a lot together and even when Richard says he can handle doing something on his own, Peter is right behind him refusing to let him do it alone. (This was all discussed with Amanda!)

personality traits —

+ HUMORISTIC. Richard surprisingly has an excellent sense of humor despite all of the tragedy he has experienced. He tries to make light of a situation if he can to disguise what he might be really feeling deep inside. It doesn’t always work but if Rich can make himself laugh then that seems to be worth it. If someone else ends up laughing with him? Even better and keeps the dark thoughts away.

+ DEDICATED. Once Richard places his mind on something he intends to go through with it until getting the outcome he desires. No matter how tired the man might get there is always energy left to keep fighting. He’s also a loyal friend to have on your side because of it!

- CYNICAL. Maybe Richard struggles to believe anything good can come out of stressful situations. This doesn’t mean he won’t press forward anyway because even when times get tough Rich does absolutely everything in his power to do what’s right. His depression tends to impact his outlook but tries being optimistic  despite being a cynic about his current  situation. Rich doesn’t think that someone like him deserves a happily ever after and always prepares for the worst. Maybe he has just seen too much.

ORIGIN: Richard Rider was born in Hempstead, New York to Charles and Gloria Rider. He would become the oldest of their two children after his parents have another son. He always appeared to be insecure about how his younger brother is smarter than him and thought that he was the favorite. Robert always looked up to Rich though and supported his older brother’s role as a hero. Their mother worked as a 911 dispatch operator and their father was the principle of their local high school. Charles was a good father but quite strict. He never approved of his children getting in fights and more than once sent Richard to his room without getting to eat dinner. They tried being supportive of their son but his father would end up supporting the mindset that heroes should be registering — putting a strain on the relationship with his son. Richard would stay close with his mother since Gloria is always more gentle and loving between his two parents.

He wasn’t the class clown or the wallflower or the cool kid. Richard was just an average teenager growing up, having girl troubles as anyone else his age. Everything appeared to be normal until coming into contact with the Nova Corps shortly after his seventeenth birthday. The Nova are a peace-keeping force based off the planet Xandar which was destroyed by a space pirate. When Rhomann Dey, the Nova Prime was dying and fleeing through the cosmos toward Earth is when a decision was made. Richard Rider received his powers and granted the Nova Force — becoming the host for the energy source.

The sudden infusion of power hospitalized him, comatose as Rhomann telepathically explained to him everything that was happening and what his mission would be. He hoped that this Human would use these abilities for good. Rich would recover suddenly and be discharged by the doctor so he could return to his normal routines. The next day when alone in his room Rhomann transmitted one last gift — his Centurion uniform. Richard soon discovered all the different powers he now possesses but didn’t have any instruction on how they worked. He would become Nova Prime, proudly taking up the mantle.  

START OF THE BAN: Richard spends more time out in space than home on Earth. He goes years at a time before returning to visit his mother. His childhood friends all moved on with their lives without him in it so that doesn’t leave him with many reasons to come back. Usually when Rich does make a visit it leaves him confused by everything that had happened since he has been gone. There were wars to fight in and distress calls to take care of — feeling like that is more important than anything Earth has to offer. This has consequences though, never getting closure with his father since he passed away during one of the times Rich was gone.

When the ban was put into place, Richard didn’t know about it until Sam told him. He couldn’t believe that much had changed. Worldmind always there reminding him that there’s forever more work to be done through the galaxy if it brings some kind of reassurance to the two Novas.  There would always be somewhere they were needed and this is where their journey would go. Maybe Richard just adapted too much to living in space that being on a Earth makes him ache for returning to the stars again. He has learned to appreciate the little time there is with the connections he has left in his old age.

PRESENT: Seven years go by in the blink of an eye. Which also means seven years since stepping foot on Terran soil. His reasons for returning are a mixed bag. One of them connected to realizing how much he misses his mother during one of his therapy sessions. She was one of the few good things left since his younger brother is on a path of villainy with the Fraternity of Raptors. Richard spent some time with her after coming back to Earth since this was important to him. He couldn’t stay though, no matter how much she wanted him to. He comes to Star City seeking out a reunion with his best friend Peter but also new opportunities. Rich has never been good at holding a job, not when being Nova Prime will always come first, but decides to give it a try. Besides it doesn’t sit right with him knowing an organization is staining the Nova name. While trips back to space will still be frequent because he has his therapy sessions and also can’t refuse a distress call — Rich is going to try sticking around a bit more this time around. Maybe after all these years he deserves to build an actual life for once.

Here are some personal headcanons I really want to share between Ralph and Robert because I headcanon them as brothers, despite making their appearance and ethnicity nothing alike in the slightest I just like the idea :)

Headcanon 1: Ralph (younger) and Robert (older) both have weird beauty marks over their faces and body that Robert covered with tattoos the minute he could because he hated them so much. Ralph, unlike his brother, embraces his and regularly teases Robert about how much the boy can’t stand them. Robert usually shoots back with ‘at least i’m attractive’ and then they get into a good ol’ sibling squabble

Headcanon 2: Robert is very protective over Ralph and spends most of his time with the boy. He is somehow friends with both the choir and Ralph’s friends when they’re at their peak hatred. Jack is very ‘wHy dO yOu eVEn liKe hiM’ and Robert just shoots him down with ‘funny that i’m not looking for your approval’ type shit. Mfer doesn’t put up with anything when it comes to Ralph

Headcanon 3: Robert and Ralph play for the same soccer team and get oddly competitive over it. If Ralph was taller, he would totally pour the gatorade over Robert’s head, but they’re 5 inches apart in height so he just takes his water bottle and sprays it in Robert’s face.

Headcanon 4: Ralph cannot stand the choir, but Robert holds parties for them regularly. So Ralph is a familiar face to every one of the boys. Robert routinely threatens everyone there that if they ever lay so much as a finger on Ralph, he will rip the finger off and shove it down their throats. Everybody, outside of Roger and Jack, is absolutely terrified of the threats.

Headcanon 5: Ralph is decently short compared to some of the other boys, so Robert will put him on his shoulders or give him a piggyback ride so he can see better because Robert’s pretty tall. And it makes Ralph extremely happy, so that’s all the motivation Robert needs to do it.

Headcanon 6: Whenever Ralph gets sad, or stressed, or is generally overwhelmed, Robert will let him squeeze the life out of him in a hug, probably cracking a couple ribs. When he’s sad, Ralph gets touch reliant on those he loves and wants people he trusts there with him, so Robert will spend hours in Ralph’s bed, letting him cling to him like a koala. Ralph threatens him with a steak knife after it’s done, and nobody ever knows about the loving brother moments

Headcanon 7: Robert literally launches himself at Jack when he finds out that Jack likes Ralph. He constantly glares at the poor boy and will grip Jack’s bicep a little too hard and while Jack isn’t intimidated fully by Robert, he still jumps when Robert is like :).

Definitely Scottish and that’s why he was called ugly

Comes from a stupidly wealthy and high class family

The oldest out of everyone, also the tallest after puberty

Has 6 siblings in total, making them a family of 9

Head of the debate team because he can carry a debate for 35365382 years

He LOVES 80s rock music and wouldn’t tell a soul

Is very self conscious because of his fathers words to him but will never admit it

Has an emotionally abusive father, who divorced his mother and remarried his physically abusive and homophobic stepmother

Jack is hella dyslexic and i will stand by the fact that he struggles with reading

Ralph

GLASSES. HE DESPERATELY NEEDS THEM TO READ

Has a lot of beauty marks on his face

He’s also very much French and will speak it when he’s really really mad because he finds it easier

Born on Halloween (October 31st) and plays the “it’s my birthday, you can’t be mean to me” card when someone insults his costumes

Very athletic. Like VERY ATHLETIC. Captain of the schools soccer team

Also the student council president and kind of a suck up to the teachers lmao

Really good at violin because he got pressured by his father to play an instrument

His mother passed when he was 10-12, leaving him alone with his father who just tries his hardest to parent a sarcastic teenager

Listens to Taylor Swift and Avril Lavigne

Pyromaniac 100%. Loves fire and will light candles whenever necessary

Simon

Helps his mother run her flower shop and spends after school hours working there

Usually holds the parties the choir throws because he’s the most social and his parents are very friendly

Has epilepsy and faints very frequently

A huge fan of musicals, specifically Grease, Dirty Dancing, and Hairspray

Rarely spends time indoors, he’s usually out biking by the park or walking around with someone

Paints rocks and gifts them to people when he thinks they’re feeling down

Roger

Huge emo phase as a teenager. Lip piercing, ear piercings, eyeliner, MCR, the whole 9

Comes from a Russian background and taught himself how to speak it to remind himself of his parents

An orphan and lives alone, both parents dying in a tragic accident

Spends most of his time with Jack or Simon, probably being a bad influence

He does have a soft spot for certain choir members and has fought on their behalf before (Simon, Robert, and Henry)

Has a pet black cat that he cares for with his life because it was the one thing that survived the accident

Sam

Super smart, like takes chemistry and advanced classes because he dedicates his time to his education. He usually does Eric’s homework for him

Fluent in German, Italian and English and was born and raised in Germany. However, he is best at English

Hates birthdays because he doesn’t understand the big deal around them

Gets very anxious in social situations and usually comes off as extremely awkward

Once dyed the tips of his hair a soft pink but quickly got rid of it because he was teased for it

Younger than Eric by a total of 12 minutes, which Eric uses to his advantage

Into super cheesy Romantic Comedies because he’s a sucker for a happy end

Maurice

ITALIAN. LIKE VERY ITALIAN SO VERY ITALIAN. A PASTA BOY

Born on April fools day so roger calls him a joke

His closet is somehow made up of flannels and two t shirts and he still wears different clothing every day

Uses different humour styles on different people because he wants to make everyone laugh

Very into affection, even if it’s from friends. He’s heavily touch reliant

Also really smart but plays it off as though he isn’t

Eric

Sarcastic little boy

Very easily picks up on languages. He’s fluent in German, English, Italian, French, Spanish, and Japanese

Not as smart as Sam, in fact he majors in art and his parents are like hey what the fuck you vs Sam?

Really likes the nighttime over the daytime

Not very open about his emotions which leads to a lot of bad things

Spends most of his time around Sam and cracking jokes. He also makes fun of Ralph very often

Robert

Comes from a family of 7, most of them being younger so he plays older brother a lot

Likes his popcorn burnt and nobody knows why

Very persistent, he never gets bored of doing anything

Percival’s older cousin so he’s very protective of him

Generally friends with everyone, despite Jack and Ralph not getting along

Not the best student but really doesn’t care enough to work on his grades. He has potential but wastes it

A sci-fi nerd and will ramble about it

He’s still baby tho, I love him

Piggy

Heavily relies on Ralph for anything even slightly aggressive

Helps his auntie run the sweet shop and spends most of his free time there

Is also extremely smart but everyone is aware of it

Used to be a boy scout because I said so

His name is Peter, that’s generally agreed on though

So I was talking with my two mutuals @jack-vibes and @karaboutmyart about my Ralph and Robert ((brothers in case ur new here!!)) headcanons and heres my favourite one:

Ralph and Robert are poor. Like not a little poor.

So essentially, Ralph and Robert aren’t actually brothers. They’re half brothers, same father, different mother. Their father had an affair with Robert’s, who has his mother’s maiden name as his last name (Evans) and Ralph took his father’s last name (Allebach). Robert’s mother lives in a different country and only visits around the holidays with his other half-siblings but he spends most of the time with Ralph and Ralph’s father. Ralph’s mother died early in his childhood, so it’s just the two and their father.

Their father quit the navy when Ralph’s mother died and he works an office job, but as for the money he makes, most of it goes to his bad drinking habits. So that leaves Ralph and Robert as students trying to juggle jobs as well to have enough money to do things like eat. They’re under the school program that provides them with food, which Robert forces Ralph to accept because Ralph feels like he’s stealing.

Almost all of Ralph’s clothing is a hand me down from Robert or a Christmas gift from Robert’s biological mother. It’s all either too big or oddly small and the school had to issue the two uniforms because they couldn’t pay and since they’re part of the program, they were exempt from providing their own.

Ralph’s friends routinely ask him to go to restaurants (like a pizza hut) and he goes to spend time with them but doesn’t buy anything. Anytime someone offers, he declines and if they do it, Ralph actually pays them back. His friends are used to the behaviour at this point and instead just let him do whatever, because it’s not a hill they find is worth dying on.

The choir is similar, after every practice they get to go to the vending machine to get snacks. Robert goes, but doesn’t buy anything. When he’s questioned about it, he shrugs and like he’s reciting the headline on the paper he’s like “We just don’t make enough money for me to spend it on stuff like that.” The choir brushes him off for a while because it’s not their business what someone does and doesn’t make.

Ralph works 2 jobs and is severely overworked. He’s like a fast food worker on the weekdays and a cashier on the weekends, and usually picks up as many extra shifts as he can. Robert also works but just does car mechanics as a full time thing, mainly on the weekends. They only have a car because Robert’s biological mother got that side of his family to pitch in money and buy him the parts to build one from the ground up (his old car had died, but he had the frame).

Ralph usually makes dinner but it’s like. Eggo waffles or Cup of Noodles with frozen vegetables. The only time they have something nice is when Ralph or Robert gets paid and then they splurge and get like. a frozen pizza? Maybe 2 but that’s highly unlikely because Ralph is huge on saving money for later. They only manage to pay the rent because of their father’s paycheck, which barely covers them.

They also live in like. this grimy apartment so whenever Robert goes over to Jack’s MANSION BECAUSE HES RICH, he feels like he’s disrupting something. And Ralph was there ONCE and he barely moves around because he felt like he was going to ruin something and he knew he didn’t have the money to replace it.

The only person who actually helps them financially is Maurice because he used to be poor, and now he’s like. Middle class-ish. He literally insists on helping them because he knows what it’s like to be there so no matter how much it takes, he will be there for them financially. And his grandma helps and she’s far more intimidating when she starts ranting in Italian Ralph is like: thank u ma’AM-???

Anyways, moral of the story: I know Ralph is generally considered to be rich, but Ralph and Robert being poor is my new favourite thing ever and i’ll die with this headcanon

Family ties, part five💖 other characters and minor characters! These are my headcanons, so I hope you enjoy. This is the first time I’ve actually posted a list of just headcanons, so hopefully this goes well.

Piggy-a single child who lives with his aunt near the candy store she owns. He also happens to have lived on the same street as Jack since middle school, which has caused a couple incidents in the past involving Piggy coming to school one day wrapped almost completely in bandages. The convenience store on his and Jack’s street has low prices, so Piggy can often find Ralph rummaging around the shelves there for food when he needs a friend to talk to. He has the qualities of a excellent older brother and gets along well with children. He has one pet that who he treats like royalty.

Maurice- has one big sister and perhaps more unknown siblings. His father lives somewhere with his sister. He lives alone with his mother and doesn’t know where his siblings are at the moment. He wants to meet them again one day. He remembers his sister as she gave him his purple ribbon he rarely ever takes off. He doesn’t exactly remember where he got his ribbon, it’s a little fuzzy to him, but he knows it’s very important and should never lose it. Maybe they’ll see each other again one day...

Sam and Eric- a pair of identical twins. These two can’t function without each other, but lately, they been a little out of sync due to their diverging personalities and preferences. They have no siblings apart from each other and they live with their mother and father. Sam spends a lot of time at the library’s and runs into Roger at times. Eric hangs around the schoolyard with his friends a lot. They’ve been an odd couple of twins since birth and avoid too much contact with anyone but themselves, even excluding their own parents at times. Eric sticks to this principle of separation more tightly than Sam, which might cause a little chaos in the future.

Percival-an only child. He lives with his mother and father. He doesn’t interact with either of them much unless he has to, due to their dismissive nature toward him because of his lacking smarts and looks, so he’s developed a fear of social interaction. He likes to hang out around Ralph’s house to help with the cooking, a hobby he excels in and enjoys very much. His family is pretty wealthy, so he can afford to take as much food as he needs from his own house to take to Ralph’s.

Bill- a youngest sibling, the only one still in school. He lives with his father, as his mother either died or left, Bill doesn’t remember and no one tells him. His father doesn’t care about his achievements, making him an underachiever. The influence and guidance of his siblings instead of his father shaped into the still docile and friendly kid he is now. He’s currently searching for ghosts in Robert’s house. He seems to love Robert’s grandparents more than his own father sometimes, which sets a little concern in his friend’s mind.

Robert- single child who lives with his grandparents, resulting in his old fashioned way of thinking and calm demeanor. He spends a lot of time at Bill’s house. Despite the outward appearance of hostility toward Simon, he actually likes to view himself as his little brother because of the fact that neither of them have siblings and they are secretly very fond of each other. The two of them only ever see each other at school and occasionally at the store or park. He thinks extremely highly of his grandparents and would actually die for them. His parents died of an unknown cause. His house creaks a lot and he wouldn’t be surprised if Bill actually found a ghost.

Harold and Henry- cousins who live together. They are related to Ralph and Mulberry Boy somewhere down the line. They live with Henry’s parents. Harold’s family lives far away from his school and wanted to give their son the best opportunities they could, so they sent him to study with his cousin. The two families keep in frequent touch however, and the two boys visit Harold’s parents every month or so.

Johnny- a middle child. He has three younger siblings and one older. They all live with their mother and father. Johnny is still young, but he works for his parents, who are entrepreneurs, which fueled his outstanding work ethic. His family is extremely dedicated and no nonsense when it comes to the workload. Johnny favors menial labor over desk work. His older brother is the house cook.

Wilfred- a youngest sibling in a line of company owners. He is not the heir, so he has almost no responsibility in his family. He has two older brothers and the eldest is a daughter. He lives with his father and mother who spoil him rotten for being the baby. He loves his mother more than anyone in the world. His family is arguably wealthier than Jack’s. Because of this, he holds everyone in contempt, especially Jack despite being five years younger.
