i heard we’re tumblr doom posting again so if this site dies i’m not going to another social media im going to go live in the woods and become a local cryptid that just whispers old tumblr jokes to himself. people try to hunt me, i start talking to them about destiel and their heads explode suddenly. lore is built around me, i become an internet meme, there��s discourse about headcanoning me as autistic. 10 years later a really shitty movie gets made and people make 2 hour video dissertations on why it sucks and how they got the lore wrong. I found a big difference between Tumblr and Reddit.

Here, your silly statements and little slipups are responding to with “yeah same,” a completely unhinged reply, or maybe some healthy advice.

On Reddit, you get helpful answers and a guy saying “take a critical thinking class in college.” Yeah, sure. And I’ll also find a way to compensate for autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. One class will not fix the fact that I cannot read social cues over text without tone indicators and other in-text cues. Yes, I want to believe that someone wants to give me 40 grand. I also almost got scammed over an iPad and did get scammed over a ball of yarn all because of one thing.

Most people don’t look up every detail. Stuff isn’t as obvious as the porn bots here. My USPS scam got caught by a post office employee and got caught by me after I scrolled through the fake website they used to try and buy $100 of fried chicken. Critical thinking can’t always save you.

Sometimes you just have to go off pure vibes and hope for the best.

And so, if that idiot on Reddit sees this, I’d like you to know that I did not click that link or call the number because I wanted to check. I was suspicious of it. If I wasn’t, I wouldn’t have asked. So don’t shame people for asking for help. Especially if the person asking is disabled or otherwise unable to figure it all out (sheltered kids, the elderly, etc).

TL; DR Dear everyone, stop shaming or insulting people for asking for help.

I had a dream tonight that there was a day of the bed at tumblr. People were supposed to post proper posts about beds and blankets and sleeping, but many instead posted trick posts that somehow didn't feel the requirement of that holiday, and, as a meme, most people reposted only wrong posts. It really felt like tumblr

I actually did pick up “the captive prince” after seeing an unhinged rant about it by someone who didn’t read it and admitted as much.

I loved it and read the rest of the series over the last week (mostly at night or while travelling). It’s good, and has a pretty involved political plot; very appealing to me in particular. Going to marvel for a while that what I was told about it was closer to the villain’s world view than the actual book, love that
