Rating the pets of EAH based on what is on the EAH wiki and my limited knowledge:

Adelita - Rosabella's butterfly. I have never heard of this. Also apparently Adelita translates to 'noble'?? 3/10 I don't think it suits her and also how do you keep a butterfly as a pet.

Barber - Poppy's squirrel monkey. I guess squirrel monkeys are cute and I can see it as a pet for her but I have yet again no memory of this. 5/10

Clipper - Holly's lion cub. Apparently it is 'charmed' to stay a cub forever?? Don't know how that work or why she has a lion or why she would name it Clipper?? there are better names girl. 3/10

Carmine - Cerise's dire wolf. Okay so technically they're part of the same pack or something but it's the daughter of Littler Red Riding Hood and the big Bad Wolf. You can't go wrong with giving her a wolf friend whose name is another shade of red. 6/10

Carrolloo - Kitty's caterpillar. A sneaky little guy. From what we saw of him he compliments Kitty's personality and you know, a caterpillar with a wonderlandian? It's not like I can be mad. 6/10

Clockwork - Cedar's wooded cuckoo. Okay I do actually like this a lot. Even if we never really saw him it's a great concept for her pet to be wooden like her. Especially when you consider it would probably have to been made specifically for her. I love it 8/10

Clydesdale - Farrah's pet mouse. Don't recall and there are better mice. 2/10

Divacorn - Briar's unicorn. Absolutely slayed so hard I don't care about the name which is an astonishing feat. I mean of course Briar would have a pink unicorn it just makes sense. 8/10

Drake - Hopper's dragonfly. Drake. 2/10 Only getting extra points because it is a literal DRAGONfly. He breathes fire.

Earl Grey - Maddie's dormouse. Perfection. Best dressed of all of the pets. Is a silly little guy with a silly little hat that lives in her hat. Impeccable. 10/10

Gala - Apple's snow fox. Gala is a great name just because of the fact this it is not only a type of apple but also a fancy party. Very royal, on brand, like to curl around her neck. Iconic. 8/10

Grizz - Blondie's baby bear. Blondie. Girlie. You are a reporter. Please get original. A bear for goldilocks' daughter is fine but it's just like. I'm bored girl. You can do better. 3/10

Jelly - Ginger's gummy fish. I. Love this. A sentient gummy fish she accidentally made? So iconic I'll ignore the basic name. It's like naming your goldfish 'Goldie'. Anyway, I love the concept, love the execution. 8/10

King Benedict - Humphrey's chicken. No. 2/10 for egg related name.

Mr. Cottonhorn - Dexter's jackalope. Guys. Guys. look at him.

He's just a little guy. 10/10.

Moustro - Melody's rat. I like the idea and the pun name but I feel like I'd need to see a picture to be impressed. 5/10

Nevermore - Raven's dragon. There is no need for discussion. 10/10

P-Hawk - Daring's peacock. I think I remember him being kind of terrible so uh 1/10 because Daring I don't think that's how you say peacock honey.

Pesky - Hunter's squirrel. I love how even though they're like enemies they have the same haircut and Pesky has a little acorn bag that Hunter definitely made for him. Lives up to his name. 7/10

Philia - Cupid's Pegasus. Apparently 'Philia' is one of the ancient greek words for love that is often translated to friendship. soooo, even though I didn't know about her she gets a 6/10 because I think that's sweet.

Pirouette - Duchess's swan. Queen. Icon. Slay. Need I say more? 10/10

Sandella - Ashlynn's phoenix. The fact that Ashlynn has a phoenix because it rises from the ashes is so hardcore and I love it. Even if her name is Sandella. 7/10

Shuffle - Lizzie's hedgehog. The bestest and cutest little croquet ball. I don't have much to say but love you dearly. 7/10

Sir Gallopad - Darling's horse. He can change colour and camouflage which is THE coolest thing. Horsegirl Darling. 8/10 Also Daring officially has the worst pet out of the Charming siblings.

Spindle - Faybelle's pomeranian. Of course an evil fairy you have such an unassuming evil little dog. And of course she named it after her evil destiny. Iconic. 8/10.

Journey through the Woods (Y)

Among the numerous events happening to our heroes in the woods, one is the meeting of a young Soviet Pioneer boy, living with his grandfather in the forest: yes, it is Peter from “Peter and the Wolf”. Beth meets him hiding up a tree - he has just escaped the Big Bad Wolf, who devoured his animal friends - the cat, the duck, the bird... The inhabitants of this area of the woods actually do not speak, Peter and his grandfather are mute, but they express themselves through movements and a disembodied music that follows them everywhere they go.

Peter is out for revenge, and he enlists the help of Beth and her companions to create his iconic trap. The group actually manages to capture the monstrous beast - but it is a temporary victory, as the too-sweet Mouse makes a fatal mistake... 

You might be wondering about the chronology of the whole project. ArtMaker and I did produce a quick, brief chronology for the core events of the narrative (not including “side-quests” like the stop at Cinderella’s ball). Basically it would go as such:

Act 1: Beth gets lost through the forest/enters the fairytale woods. Beth meets Little Red Riding Hood, and the “grandmother incident” follows. As night falls the two try to get help at the Third Little Pig’s house, only to get trapped. They are rescued by the Mouse, and welcomed in the Pig’s house, who joins them on their journey. They then meet the Billy Goat Gruff, and Jack suddenly pops up. There is the “giant incident” and Jack is the final addition to the group. The group being formed and the fairytale world being introduced, the first act wraps up.

Act 2: The Wolf meets the Fox and asks him to spy the group, but Beth and co ditch the Fox. The Hansel and Gretel incident happens, followed by the “Peter an the Wolf” episode described above. The group encounters the Bridge Troll, the Wolf then asks the Fox to guard the axe in the stump. The group then discovers the woodman’s cottage (this will be explained in the next post) and there is a face-down between the Wolf and the group, where the Goat pushes the Wolf off a cliff - and everybody thinks the beast is dead. Act 2 is wrapped up.

Act 3: Fox gets bored and leaves the stump, that is discovered by the group - Beth gets the axe. The group discovers the exit to the woods, but the giant appears and kidnaps Beth’s companions, forcing her to go up the beanstalk to save them. She defeats the giant, Beth’s friend return to their homes, Beth prepares to leave the forest (and in parallel the Fox meets the Gingerbread House Witch). However the Wolf reappears for the final time - ensues the last battle, a duel between Beth and the beast. Beth then leaves the forest - and it all wraps up on the Fox’s “reverse Wolf and the Fox ending” (maybe as a “post-credit” scene, who knows?)

In the instant of fight or flight, adrenaline pumping through his veins, a teenager with an ax had struck.

He could make empty promises: I’ll never die, The Wolf couldn’t kill me, I’ll always protect you. But those are just lies, and she is no longer a child. She wouldn’t have believed them when she was a child, either.

The fox looks over its shoulder, and even from the distance, he feels the eyes daring into him. At first, normal eyes, but they flash sliver, as quick as a blink.

The other two knights, young and inexperienced but had shown promise during magical resistance training, point in opposite directions, arguing about which area is safest to make camp. They’re both wrong. Their arguing is only putting them in more danger, but Magnus has given up trying to quell them.

“All of our attempts at tracking The Wolf have been in vain. Now it has trespassed twice, and we were completely unaware until it was too late.”

He meets her eyes briefly, before finding the familiar spot on her face where his eyes always land: a mole hidden among the freckles just below her left eye. It’s only visible when the fire flickers just right.

She wears a simple dress, a light blue that’s not much more extravagant than her casual attire.

“I can tell you are in pain.” She glares, but keeps her gaze down, backing away from him. “No, I’m not.”

He collapses on the stone beside her. The last thing he sees is her soft ginger hair flashing between stars.

Nothing for plump!!

okay i’m gonna try this

disney movies ranked arbitrarily based on my selective memory, bias, and other petty reasons <3 the rules are pretty simple— each movie gets a point for every song i like, no points for songs i don’t care about/skip, and negative points for songs i hate <3 im excluding anything live action and anything outside of the main animation studio, so no pixar, no dreamworks, and no sequels, and no enchanted, mary poppins, and definitely no into the woods. otherwise i’d never stop talking. some of this will be repeated from the categorized post i just made but it’s a different sorting system because i love sorting systems

if these movies have songs i cannot tell you what they are— dumbo, fox and hound, black cauldron, oliver, rescuers down under, great mouse detective, bambi, atlantis, raya and the last dragon, strange world, king arthur, three cabelleros, brother bear, anything else i can’t even think of right now (score: 0)

they’re not really musicals but there is at least one major bop: robin hood (the “oodilalee oodilalee golly what a day” song is cute), lilo and stitch (hawaiian roller coaster ride), 101 dalmatians (cruella de ville is so funny), aristocats (everybody wants to be a cat), lady and the tramp (bella note is nice and he’s a tramp is funny), alice in wonderland (happy unbirthday is cute) sleeping beauty (once upon a dream is pretty, i like how it incorporates the melody from the ballet) (score: 1)

pinochio: i guess wish upon a star is from pinochio, i thought it was in peter pan at first oops, actually i do think there are other songs i do hate but i can’t remember them well enough, which works in this movies favor (score 0.5)

the empowers new groove: the only one i can think of is yzma’s song, which was cut so (score: 0)

song of the south: i’ve never seen this nor do i want to but i do remember when ally and an covered zipidee doo dah (score: 0)

peter pan: i actually like “you can fly” but this point is revoked for the racist tiger lily song (score: 0)

jungle book: bare necessities is a cute proto hakuna matata, but i don’t like monkeys (score: 0)

fantasia: none of the characters are singing, all the music isn’t even original, but there is some impressive animation (score: 0.5)

tarzan: i don’t think phil collins did a BAD job, but compared to disney musicals where characters sing their own songs, these all sound kinda same-y. (0.5 for strangers like me, which is, okay, pretty good)

the princess and the frog: i only really remember “almost there” and “friends on the other side” but those are both great songs (score: 2)

snow white: “hi ho” isn’t as good as other fun and games songs imo, but it is memorable, “someday my prince will come” is nice enough (score: 1.5 i guess)

aladdin: one jump ahead, friend like me, and prince ali are so energetic and fun, and a whole new world is really lovely. -1 for the original arabian nights being so racist they had to change a line. (score: 3)

the little mermaid: i really love “part of your world” and “poor unfortunate souls” so so much. “kiss the girl” is cute, sure. “under the sea” is a little over rated but i can’t say it’s not good. “les poissons” is funny but not enough to get points (score: 3.5 i guess)

hunchback of notre dame: hellfire, god help the outcasts, and bells notre dame are so good. topsy turvy is not bad enough to lose points. (score: 3)

pochahontas: i liked this one as a kid because of ~nature~ and because pochahontas gets two solos. i like “just around the river bend” and “colors of the wind” even if they are kinda similar. loses a point for both sides-ing colonialism in “savages” (score: 1)

mulan: “reflection” is beautiful and emotional, “honor to us all” introduces is a great ensemble piece, “i’ll make a man out of you” is a great hype song, “a girl worth fighting for” is fine. this gets a bonus point for having a song in the sequel, “like other girls”, that was SO memorable i thought it was in the original (score: 4)

cinderella: “a dream is a wish your heart makes” is sweet, “so this is love” is pretty, and “bippiy boppity boo” is cute. there’s another song where the mice are like “cinderell-y cinderell-y” but idk which one. i still like rogers and hammerstein better. (score: 3)

tangled: i like repunzels i want song, gothels villain song, and the romantic duet. the fun and games song is okay (score: 3)

frozen: i like the snowman song, let it go is pretty good despite how over played it was, love is an open door is funny, and that song elsa and anna sing before the coronation that i can never remember the name of. the troll song is annoying, but not SO bad i want to take away a point for it. however, the reindeer song and “in summer” are annoying enough to take away points sorry (score: 2)

moana: i like how the melody from “how far i’ll go” recurs in the climactic song “i am moana”, and “your welcome” is a lot of fun. shiny is okay. (score: 3)

encanto: i like meet the madrigals as an intro song, surface pressure and bruno are pretty good, and i think i liked isabella’s song but i can’t remember the actual song (score: 3 i guess)

the lion king: “circle of life” is cinematic, i “hakuna matata” and “i just can’t wait to be king” are fun, and “be prepared” admittedly goes really hard. “can you feel the love tonight” is different because it isn’t sung by the characters, but it’s fine i guess. i’d really love to see the broadway adaptation for the costume designs alone. (score: 4)

hercules: the aesthetics really are the strength of this movie. i already mentioned i love the idea of using a gospel chorus for a movie about green gods, the muses are so fun. “gospel chorus” and its all its reprises are the best exposition i’ve ever heard. “go the distance” is lovely, chiron’s training montage song is fun, “zero to hero” is even more fun, “won’t say i’m in love” is my faaaavorite! (score: 5)

beauty and the beast: i am more than a little biased, but this soundtrack simply does not miss. “belle” and “belle reprise” i’ll count as one song, but i think it’s a really cool to put belle’s i want song in contrast with the world she lives in. “gaston” is a fun and games song for the villain, while setting up the mob mentality for the “mob song”, “be our guest” is a stellar piece of animation/choreography, “human again” isn’t even IN the original movie, but i think it’s nice to see the castle staff confiding in each other, and it’s a a waltz! yay! i actually didn’t realize it was only in the extended edition until like. three weeks ago. i never understand why sometimes it was in the movie and sometimes it wasn’t. anyway! “something there” is less a love song and more of a falling in love song, which i think is really nice, i love how belle and the beast have little asides about their new feelings, and how the castle staff gossips about them. and then “beauty and the beast (tale as old as time)” is just really really lovely sonically, lyrically, and animation wise. it’s unusual for the love songs because it’s not sung by either of the characters or any sort of narrator but a side character, but mrs potts is great, i love the well meaning nosiness of the castle staff, love angela lansbury, but i have to say, i do like how belle and the beast reprised this in the 30th anniversary edition they just did. and of the songs they added to the broadway musical, i really like “home” and “if i can’t love her” and the rest i like well enough, they all add something at least. “prologue” is the only song i don’t give points to because it’s spoken rather than sung, but the musical motifs are quite lovely, and i love the storybook feel (tangentially— according to google, the broadway version of “mob song” changes the key from f major to a minor… what’s up with that? does that happen a lot? i just think it’s interesting) (another random note, i vaguely remember bernadette peters little angel character for the christmas sequel but i don’t remember any actual songs) EDIT: i almost forgot but i wanted to add a note about how beauty and the beast includes the ensemble in nearly every song, beauty and the beast, the only true solo, is a love song sung by a character outside of the love story. i think it’s really cool and makes the world seem more filled out (score: 6)

Even injured and exhausted (and with questionable fluids running down their legs), Kiran’s eyes still have a mischievous spark to them. They were never the one-and-done type, and their libido has been distracting as all hell lately. Before them stands a potential solution. A smug and murderous solution, but hey, they never claimed to have good taste.

“If you help me get back… well, you might just get the chance to actually tame me. After a quick trip to a healer, of course.” They muse, tapping their chin. “Magic and stamina potions are definitely my favorite features of this realm.”

Beats caffeine and Advil, that’s for sure.

“Ha, no, you’re still a little mouse. My little bunny is a different summoner,” he explains, seeing her desperation, “Anyway, I had planned on leaving you here, but perhaps~…”

He trails off, gazing at her with ill intent. He wasn’t about to give her a favor that easily. He wants something for this little favor of giving her a lift back to Askr, specifically to an infirmary. Perhaps a shower as well to clean herself up. He hums, getting a bit devious, “Maybe if you beg me for a ride back or grovel like a dog, then I might be merciful and take you back~.”

He isn’t going to allow this bratty summoner win so easily.

The one where Marinette Steals the Batmobile #1

  Fifteen year old Marinette didn’t know what her future would hold but her younger self did not expect this. Five months before her thirteenth birthday she was given the Ladybug Miraculous. After that she was named the guardian of more than a dozen pocket sized gods while still trying to defeat Paris’ villian. By the time she turned fourteen, she had defeated her partner's father, took a hold of all the miraculous’, and became an orphan. The kwami’s supported her in her time of need and understood she was adjusting to not having all her previous weight on her shoulders and the grief of losing her parents in the final battle. With no real person to turn to, she decided to lose herself. What better place for a teenage superhero to retire in than a dark city filled with highly unstable people such as herself. With the Kwami’s and her parents, Master Fu’s, and her own savings she teleported to Gotham City.

  Just because the miraculous were made to stop evil did not mean the Kwami didn’t like getting into mischief. Especially a certain cat, fox, and mouse with no one but the god of creation to stop them. The same thing could be said about Marinette, however, she too was curious about making trouble. The city was practically in rubble but it already had heroes and she no longer wanted the weight of being a hero. Marinette also couldn’t stand the long faces of the tiny gods who wanted nothing more to explore the world. Within the first months of her stay in Gotham she became a well known thief that could rival the infamous Catwoman. She never stole anything for her own gain of course, most of the time it was miraculous’ in museums or bad people’s stuff. At the moment she has three notorious gangs wanting her head for stealing their guns and feeding them to Plagg. The only thing ever left behind was a red symbol much like the design of Master Fu's box.

  “Kitten! I’m so bored, why can’t we go out?”, Plagg whined atop of Marinette’s head.

“You heard what Tikki said, we have to lay low for now since we stole that emerald and ancient headware piece from the museum”, she said.

“But those new kwami’s are so mean!”, Trixx added.

“That’s why they are in the box and you guys are allowed to roam around.”, countered Marinette.

“Mari, you really shouldn't be wearing this many miraculous.”, chided Tikki from her tray of cookies.

“I’m fine, I am only wearing five anyway!”, she responded.

“I for one think three days is enough time. Plus, we don’t have to steal anything, just go out for a joy run!”, Mullo said.

“I agree, please Mari!”, Trixx begged.

“It’s not up to me Miri’s, you have to beg Tikki.”, she responded. Marinette smiled as the three swarmed the red god with pleas and threats to destroy all the cookies in the house. It was all worth the glare Tikki sent her way before she gave in.

“Fine. No stealing, I swear if I find out you did I’ll make you return it!”, the goddess threatened. Just like that a multi mouse, fox, and cat made their way across the rooftops for their latest adventure.

  “What should we do, now?”, asked MultiMouse.

MultiMinou narrowed her eyes at a dark parking lot with only one car parked in it. “Since we finished our joy run, how about we take a joy ride?”, she said with a cat-like grin.

MultiFox wagged her tail in excitement, “It looks nice too! I bet Kalkii would help us transport it to the Kwami dimension to take it for a spin.”, she squealed.

MultiMouse divided herself once more, “Mullo. Kalkii. Merge!”

  The four jumped off the roof they were perched on and made their way towards the car before transforming into their smallest selves. Entering the car through the front all the way to the air ducts was a simple task for the mice. Once inside, Multi Mouse, Minou, and Fox worked on the gas pedals and steering wheel while MultiHorse worked on the portal in the passenger seat.

“How do we even start this thing!”, Minou whined.

“It has a screen right here. Maybe we push it?”, suggested Mouse.

Tapping the screen, the car let out a soft hum before various blue lights turned on. The mice all had one thing on their mind, “Merde!”

  Marinette had had a couple of run-ins with the dubbed ‘BatFam’ in her time in Gotham already. She had expected it to because of her being a well-known thief and all, of course they would try to stop her. Marinette also had a huge upper-hand against them with her powers. One minute her bright orange tail is being chased by three and the next she is standing right in front of them watching them curse, wondering where she went. Illusions were the best thing to ever have! Marinette especially liked messing with the youngest one because of how angry he would get. Once, she saw him wait until no one was there and proceed to cut a trash bin in half with his katana. When he is with the one with the red helmet the two curse like sailors. The boy who has a cowl that looks like an egg, similar to Aspik, gets frustrated when his heat sensor malfunction when he is looking right at her. When the youngest isn’t around she’ll tail the one in blue and whisper things while he is patrolling. Most of the time it’s ‘Boo!’ or ‘Rawr!’ and what she has heard the people in his ear call him before as Minou, ‘Dick’. The man screams like a little girl and gets paranoid easily. When he tries to tell his partners they brush him off!

  That wasn’t the point right now. The point was, Marinette found herself trying to steal the Batmobile. As if matters couldn’t get any worse, MultiFox turned to her left to see the youngest and Batman making their way towards her, trying to steal the Batmobile! So, MultiMinou did the only logical thing to do. As soon as the portal opened she slammed on the gas leaving the two in her dust. Darn Plagg and his chaotic-ness! Hopefully the drive would be worth the wrath of Tikki.

  It was not worth Tikki’s anger at all. Of course Marinette, Mullo, Trixx, and Kalkii threw Plagg under the bus for it but they didn’t get out of it unscathed. True to her word unlike the five, Tikki forced them to return the vehicle to Batman the next night. They also had to write a note apologizing to Batman for all the trouble they caused. MultiBug went with the four as they teleported straight into the secret Batcave and pushed the car out of the portal. Luckily no one seemed to be there and they left quickly after placing the note on the windshield.

  Red Robin was there. Red Robin blinked once. Twice. Red Robin rubbed his eyes.

The Batmobile was still there but the five identical girls were gone.

He calmly turned around back towards the computer. He must be hallucinating right? When was the last time he slept? That didn’t matter. He had to check the cameras to see if they got that and once the rest got back from patrol they could tell him if it was real. He turned back one more time towards the car and noticed the note. Better to not touch it in case it disappeared again. Coffee. He needs coffee to explain this.

  Marinette ended up passed out on the couch as soon as they got home just like Tikki predicted. Seriously, that girl should listen to her more. Miraculous’ can take a huge toll on humans. All the active Kwami were nested on top of her unconscious body when Tikki decided to ask what exactly was on the note.

“The note? Oh that note! Well…”,Plagg dragged out with a yawn.

  Dear Mr.Batman and Traffic Light boy.

We are very sorry for taking your Batmobile for the day and I swear we didn’t mean to. We thought it was an abandoned car and wanted to learn how to drive. When we got in we realized this was a mistake but you were very close to us and we didn’t want to get in trouble so we took it! Don’t worry, we didn’t do anything with it but drive. Since we are making confessions do you think we should add the rest? Might as well Kitten so she doesn’t get mad at us. No, Trix don’t write that, stop it!

-We were the ones that scared the Blue Boy.

-Tell him that ‘Dick’ isn’t a very good vigilante name.

-Traffic-Light boy we saw you cut that trash bin in half.

-Traffic-Light boy and Red Helmet need to watch their language.

-Egg head, your cowl looks like an egg.

-Those guns we stole all got destroyed, don’t worry! Have you ever melted them? It’s really cool to watch.

-We ate that granola bar that Red Helmet had in his pocket.

-It made us feel really funny.

-We caught Egg head when he passed out while grapple hooking.

-Oh, write that we are really evil. I wanna make them scared!

-We are really evil!

-Blue Boy has really good jokes that make us laugh.

  “Then it’s signed with their usual red symbol, a green cat print, mouse ears, fox tail, and a horse spur.”, Alfred concluded.

“Shiitake mushrooms! They knew my identity and didn’t even realize it.” Nightwing screeched, grabbing his hair.

“That granola bar was a ‘special’ brownie.”, Red Hood stated.

“I do NOT look like an egg! ...Ok maybe I do.”, sighed Red Robin.

“I told you I kept hearing things and I was RIGHT!”, shouted Nightwing.

“They can’t be real if they liked your jokes, Grayson.”, Robin said.

“Ouch, Traffic-Light boy! That felt like you cut me in half like that trash can.”, teased Nightwing.

 Batman took the note from Alfred and rewatched the footage from the caves cameras. They five looked younger than Robin and obviously held some type of magical abilities to create a portal. From what he could tell they weren’t actually doing bad things and when they did they felt guilty about it. He pulled up the note left at the museum that was also an apology.

  “They are just kids, Alfred.”, Batman mumbled.

Alfred hummed. “Kids who need some guidance I suppose, Master Bruce?”, he suggested.

so, this happened. i would feel bad, but the characters hijacked this story after chapter 1 and i’m just along for the ride and checking that words makes sense.

“Hey Alya, you haven’t been getting more hits on your blog from Gotham lately, have you?” Marinette asked.

Alya rolled her eyes as honestly, could her bestie be any less obvious? She could see the “new” necklace. The one that only shows up when Multimouse is on call. Honestly—why is it everyone keeps thinking she doesn’t know who’s who? She’s the Fox—Illusions and Truth are her bread and butter.

“Now that you mention it,” Alya pulled up her latest stats. “Yes. The whole site—jeez these guys must have just found out and want the scoop from the best source in Paris,” Alya preened.

Marinette acted… different after she got that answer. Moved in on herself. Alya could feel the attempt at a cover-up before she even asked.

“Hey, is something up?”

“Nothing! Nothing is up, why would something be up! Ha, that’s a good one Alya!”

Ah, the miraculous-related tic was in full swing then. Marinette isn’t exactly the most in-the-know miraculous user, and the Mouse is always taken back after its been used. She could be forgiven for assuming Alya, the expert in all things Miraculous second only to the Original duo and their boss, would not know that something was going on in a certain spotted heroine’s life, and it was all hands on deck.

“Okay,” Alya switched to her theory notes, “Any new names to add to the ‘would not be surprised if they were Hawkmoth’ list?” Marinette is a goldmine on this topic, and while miraculous adjacent, definitely able to ease the whole ‘not in control’ and helpless feelings this situation was probably stirring in her girl. She knew it was for herself atleast.

Marinette perked up with a familiar ‘I know what you will say, but lets do this anyway’ type of sly smile. “Okay, so we do agree that it has to be someone that knows Gabriel’s schedule and doesn’t want to interfere with it for the most part, right?”

“Well,” Alya wasn’t letting this hunch go anytime soon, no matter what LB and Chat said about evidence against. She knew she was onto something with it, and for all she knew, some miraculous magic could be interfering. “I still say it could be him and Natalie taking turns, but that doesn’t rule them both out.”

Marinette shot Alya a look, of the ‘I strongly disagree, but feel it is futile to remind you why’ variety.

“I’m kidding, your boss isn’t Hawkmoth, I know… He’d totally have better designs for akumas if he was.”

Marinette leaned forward conspiratorially. “You should have seen him tear into the Bubbler one when I brought it up as an example of horrible design. His face was perfect!”

Alya would love to imagine the many, many ways to torment Gabriel after what she and Nino have come to understand about the man from their friends. Ranging from negligent and uninvolved control freak at best to manipulative, victim-blaming, and abusive POS. If Adrien and Marinette were a little less attached (re: not pedestalling the man so much), then she could get them to see the truth and they could go over the pair’s options to get them both away from his BS and make the man pay for the all the crap he put Adrien through, and was starting to put Marinette through. Why else would the girl be running herself ragged—especially the past week—if the man wasn’t a demanding asshole boss?

“That’s great, next time, get a pic or vid and share the love.”

“I will, so I met another one of his suppliers and…” Alya began to take vicious notes, glad for Marinette’s attention to detail on these things. It made looking for possible Hawkmoths much easier on her and Max—yes she knows who Pegasus and Cowboy are, Markov in a hat is still Markov in a hat. It was a wonder that no one else noticed.

Alya grinned when she saw Trixx peek out of her hiding place, a wide smile that reminded her exactly why Alya could catch everyone’s identity while her friends still hadn’t put together she’s Rena; a Fox casts illusions. To do that well, you have to learn to seek and see the truth, and get your evidence. And Alya? Is a damn good fox.

Tim hates his stupid insane list of designers. He managed to knock of half by using his own damn filters, thank you very much for dominant genes from the Wayne side that could be seen visually. It knocked out a good chunk (about two thousand out of five thousand) on hair alone. He decided he would let it keep running for those that linked their socials to their psueds and aliases.

The problem was the handful (about ten) that didn’t. He’d have to meet them in person, used his glasses to get pictures, and run those against social media posts in Paris to find out who these more private designers were—all to find out if they really are in the right age range, and if their natural features do put them in the ‘likely a Wayne’ category for Wayne dominant traits (and those possible given Bruce’s own DNA makeup, which he doesn’t know Tim has. Hey, he’s the Robin that Gets Shit Done, never said he was the polite one. That’s Dick’s job, not his.)

Adrien hates not having Plagg with him. Not that Tikki isn’t great and all! Really! Just… he misses him and his stinky cheese, okay?

“Adrien,” Natalie knocked on the door.

“Come in.”

Natalie entered the doorway, but no further. “When is Marinette free for consultations next? we have a high end client who would like to commission her as soon as possible.”

“Give me a minute…” Adrien checked his ‘overseeing Marinette’ schedule on his phone. “Uh, she has walk-ins around four until five tomorrow.”

“Excellent. Will she be at her home or the studio Gabriel has provided for consultations?” By her tone, he could tell which Natalie and Father would prefer.

“Let me check with her.”

“See that you do.”

Adrien sent a lipstick, X arm lady, and house emoji to Marinette.

In a minute she sent back a thumbs up and apartment building emoji.

“Studio it is.”

Natalie nodded. “Excellent choice. I will let them know to be there at four ten, given Marinette’s… difficulty arriving on time.”

Adrien grimaced a bit on that as yeah… no longer having a Danger sense meant her punctuality was… not very good.  “Are they speaking to Marinette or MDC?”

He’d need to know if he should just pick her up or not. MDC didn’t have to get picked up—designers to celebrities are allowed to be late and can blame it on getting caught up in a few details on a commission design for a walk-in consultation. Marinette was tied to the Gabriel Brand and needed to reflect that, therefore, be there on time and ready.

“Marinette for now, though they expressed an interest in MDC as a budding designer, and they are well within the MDC price range,” Natalie hinted.

Adrien kept the hiss growing in the back of throat quiet. Marinette chooses who MDC works with, not his Father.

Stephanie is both delighted and upset when she sees Cass. As its Cass—she probably figured it out already damn it!—but its Cass and she missed her since she left a few months back for a mission and got caught up in the Chinese crime scene again.

“Hey Cass!”

Cass grinned when she saw Steph and made her way over.

“Found her!”

Stephanie was gutted. She really wanted to win, just this once, at a detective thing. You know, be the normal one that managed to out-do the prodigies and geniuses. Not to be again. “Oh, that’s great. Where is the baby bat?”

Cass shook her head. “Not her, Soup Girl.”

Stephanie opened and shut her mouth. Then lit up as she still has a chance! “Oh, right—right! You said you wanted to meet her a while back.”

Cass nodded. “Her family is nice.”

“Did you talk to her or…”

Cass shook her head. “Busy.”

“Ah.” That made sense. “Well, uh, still competing?”

Cass raised an eyebrow. That was a yes.

“Maybe we should work on helping her on the hero side of things together, you know, so we don’t freak her out when we all swarm her place. Make the whole thing a bit less…”

“Dramatic.”

Stephanie nodded. It would help ease the girl into the family, and keep Cass on that case instead of finding Baby Bat for a bit. Win-Win for Stephanie and Baby Bat.

Chatte Noire really, really hates dealing with akumas. She's built for strategy, to see tricky parts and work out how to make them safer for the team and minimize risk. She is not made to be Chatte Noire. Yet here she is, in an akuma attack, trying to play the role of a Black Cat—identify and destroy threats to the team. Problem is, she lacks Chat Noir's heightened ability to sense danger. In fact, she lacks it completely--and she knows the team isn't happy.

The attack is taking longer than it would if she was Ladybug. This would be over if she had just managed to keep her big mouth shut and not talked to Aquaman. Then the Justice League wouldn’t be involved. Then the whole promise to Murder Robin would not be broken and Paris would already be saved for the day instead of dealing with another Sandboy attack going on well into the night, with a cure that won’t be able to handle fatigue, energy renewal or relax the body for sleep post ‘I’m scared out of my mind’ fear.

She made sure to avoid this Sandboy’s attacks and she would save whoever got caught. Her Cataclysms may not be as strong as Chat’s (his do make the whole thing go away) but she is just as quick on her feet and just as good at getting civilians out of danger.

“Chatte!”

“On it Buggaboy! And not yet!”

It was too off for the Lucky Charm. They’d need Viperion, and he was stuck underwater with Aquaman trying to get him out at the moment. Until then, she just had to minimize damage, keep civilians away from their nightmares hunting them down, and keep moving and planning and work everything out while playing bodyguard for the team at Cha—At Mr. Bug’s call.

She hopes things turn out okay.

Then she sees a bat symbol and the world vanishes.

Red Hood blinked when he saw some girl running around on rooftops in… Isn’t Chat Noir supposed to be the cat one? Where the hell is Ladybug—and why is some guy in her place? Shit, did the baby bat lose her miraculous or was it stolen? Damnit, now he has to steal it back for her!

“Okay, how did LB get hit when she isn’t even here?” The fox girl groaned as she dodged another attack. “Aren’t these guys supposed to go after who’s scared of them?”

The bee girl rolled her eyes. “More than just Ladybug can be terrified of the bats. They’re the Ghosts, remember?”

“Hey, can we argue about fears and who has rights to them some other time?” fake ladybug asked, flinching and moving closer to the Turtle guy. “Uh, Chatte, that way!”

Cat girl—Chatte— said something he didn’t catch and grabbed a kid stuck in a mob and bounce out.

“I—” the boy threw his hands up. “We’re screwed. She really, really isn’t getting the whole Cat thing.”

Red Hood pulled out his guns, checking that the darts were loaded and aiming for Spots.

“Chatte---guy with a gun!”

This time cat girl managed to look over and froze. She started… hyperventilating? Shit—kid’s having an attack.  

Red Hood lowered his gun and made sure to get closer to her---seeing as the other heroes—Dragon girl, Monkey boy and Snake Guy were busy with the bee and fox girls trying to circle some kid on a pillow. No clue where the other kid in black was, but the cat girl losing it? that was his current focus.

“Kid, come on, breathe.”

“Oh my—” the kid looked at him like he was the threat. “Fuck, no—I shouldn’t have talked back to---shit. Shit, now I’m gonna—”

“VOYAGE!”

Just like that, Red Hood was dropped into Gotham harbor. Jason didn’t even get to look around to see what happened. He did manage to tread water and work out which was to go to get to shore.

“Oracle!”

“Jesus Hood—sending Robin to your location. What happened?”

“Some kids stole baby bats’ jewels, some akuma attack, the actual cat thief was hyperventilating and then I end up here.”

“Oh, B is not going to like this.”

“I already don’t like it.” Batman growled out over comms. “Did someone say voyage?”

Red Hood wracked his somewhat waterlogged brain. “In French, yes.”

“One of the local heroes.” Jason could feel Bruce’s annoyance. “Why were you in Paris.”

“Well,” Red Hood kept swimming to shore. “When you find out a long lost bat is in life threatening danger, one must locate and meet this possible winner of the ‘avoided having crappy parents raise me’ lottery to give a well-earned ‘congrats, you’re a well-adjusted person in a family of crimefighter! Mazel tav.”

“Hood.” Robin began on a private channel. “We need to talk.”

“Gotta go B, life to live, baby bat to find.”

“Red Hood!”

“Bye!” Red Hood climbed out of the harbor, finding his baby brother on his motorcycle that was definitely not Bruce-Approved.

“What’s up buttercup, didja miss me?”

Robin scowled at him. “Of course not, the world is more peaceful without the drivel that falls out of your mouth.”

Red Hood snorted. “Yeah, and that’s why you hide in my room all the time.”

Robin refused to make eye contact, shoving Red Hood onto his bike. “Is it true, did my sister lose her miraculous?”

“Unless she’s B and Catwoman’s lovechild and she decided to embrace it.”

Robin was quiet on the way to the cave. “…how long would it take to get the pilot to return and take me to Paris?”

“…you’d make it there around their in time for dessert.”

Robin frowned. “that’s not soon enough.”

“Closest you’ll get. And don’t’ think you’re going alone.”

Robin frowned. “I am not exposing my sister to you.”

“She’s our sister first of all,” Red Hood corrected. “and second of all, I have a bet to win, and I’m behind thanks to this portal guy. So I’m coming.”

Robin rolled his eyes. “Only if you get past Father and Alfred.”

“You wouldn’t dare.”

Robin smirked as they pulled into the Batcave.

“Father, I believe Red Hood needs your full attention given he was in the harbor for so long, and we all know how cold they are this time of year.”

Jason decided Damian was by and far his least favorite sibling in that moment. “Wait, B, no, look—no signs of hypothermia, no shaking, just need to change and—”

“I will check and ensure you don’t develop it with Alfred on standby.”

Jason glared at Damian, already stripping from his Robin gear with that self-satisfied smirk. “Traitor!”

“I simply want what is best for my siblings, how is that wrong?”

I hope this gave you all a good idea of what’s going to happen next… I do love the Batfam and all, but some of their approaches here… no good and need to have that hit over their head.

And if I’m screwing up ladybats characterization, feel free to let me know so I can fix it---going off what I could find from DC fans and lore but I also do not know these characters inside and out, and want to do them justice.

me, in a mocking tone: do I have any Cadmeancio x Multimouse headcanons…

Foolish mortal, to even IMPLY that I might NOT have Lukanette.

(Cadmeancio is Fox Luka, for those unaware)

Pre-Dating/Pre-Reveal

- Multimouse is so thrilled to have Cadmeancio around since they can plan things together. His Mirages often involve creating more Multimice than there actually are, easily fooling akuma who can’t tell which ones are the real ones as they scatter.

- Cadmeancio is more than happy to let the Multimice ride him if they all need to go somewhere after using Multitude. His foxtail cape makes it easy for them to have something they can all collectively ride, making plans while he goes to their destination.

- Multimouse is fully aware that she could ride other heroes but Cadmeancio is her favorite hmm wonder why. (she felt bad about it at first until he assured her that he’s honored to be her main choice)

- Cadmeancio cares about each Multimice just as much as he’d care about them if they were still one. If he loses track of one or sees one of them get hurt, he loses his cool and starts worrying.

- During colder days, the Multimice will climb into Cadmeancio’s hood to keep warm. There aren’t many things that auto-fluster Cadmeancio, but tiny Multimice snuggling against his neck will definitely do it.

- Cadmeancio has different melodies/notes he plays loudly on the flute to alert all nearby Multimice of what’s going on if they need to be distracted by other tasks. Most foes just assume that he’s trying to use Mirage.

- If Cadmeancio’s flute goes flying off into the distance and he couldn’t see where it landed, the Multimice will split up to search for it. There’s no sight quite like a bunch of Multimice carefully carrying his flute back to him like it’s the most precious thing in the world.

Pre-Dating/Pre-Reveal But Also Luka Knows

- MARINETTE HAS HER HAIR IN DOUBLE BUNS AND LUKA IS SUFFERING.

Post-Dating/Post-Reveal

- Multiple plans of Multimouse’s have involved using her jump rope tail to tie her and Cadmeancio together in some way. Until the plan actually goes through, no one believes her when she insists that there’s no ulterior motive behind it. (Technically, it doesn’t always have to be Cadmeancio, which is a fair point, but if she’s going to tie herself to someone, why not her boyfriend??)

- Luka lost a guitar pick at home once. He didn’t consider it a big deal, but Marinette apparently saw it as a high-priority mission. Suddenly, there were Multimice everywhere, scouring the home for the missing object. Luka loves his girlfriend so much, she’s so dedicated.

- “Maybe I should pick up more instruments besides the guitar and flute.” “Hm? Why?” “I can serenade you in all languages of music that way.” “OMG LUKA DON’T. TWO IS ENOUGH.” “Not for me.” “*voice cracking* luKA–”

- On a particularly bad day for Marinette, Luka gently asked if they could trade miraculouses. She was confused, but obliged. She didn’t expect to have a bunch of little mouse Luka surrounding her a few minutes later, spouting endless compliments and giving her mini-hugs. It took mere seconds before she was blushing and giggling, and mere minutes before she’d entirely forgotten why she was upset in the first place. (She later did her best to serenade them with her flute since she had the fox now anyway, so why not? She didn’t consider herself very good at it, but they still stared at her like she was playing their favorite song.)

- Luka has walked into Marinette’s room multiple times to see her split apart as Multimouse, all of them working on a particular task that she has to take care of. However, no matter how important any of the tasks are, they’ll always combine into one so she can give him a hug and kiss to greet him.

- Occasionally, when Luka is playing guitar, Marinette will opt to transform and use Multitude so she can have as many different viewpoints as possible playing his guitar. Luka finds it very hard to keep on his calm, chill smile when there’s a Multimouse everywhere near him: on his shoulder, in his hair, in one of his pockets, and sitting in front of him like the cutest little audience member.

- While in the midst of kissing, their miraculouses got tangled together and it took a good few minutes to undo it. It keeps happening and they keep blaming Trixx for it, but Trixx will neither confirm nor deny whether a kwami can have that kind of influence or not. They don’t technically mind being forced together for the extra time but still–

The fox looks over its shoulder, and even from the distance, he feels the eyes daring into him. At first, normal eyes, but they flash sliver, as quick as a blink.

By the time they finally get [redacted] to the nearest hospital, dawn peeks over the impressive shadow steel of The Southern Gate. It’s midday when they declare his death, and it’s late enough to start drinking by the time they reach the tavern.
