Ice Cold Jealousy
Hockey AU | Cassian x Reader
Tumblr media
Series Masterlist -> Part 2 - Thawing Boundaries
word count: 8.3k
content: [ explicit sexual content, PWP, unprotected PIV, rough sex, oral (m & f receiving), voyeuristic elements, possessiveness/jealousy, power dynamics, little bit of overstim?, hair pulling, dirty talk, humiliation?, biting, locker room sex (it's come to my attention that hockey locker rooms don't typically have lockers but just suspend your disbelief for a sec please), inapproproate touching, insinuation that Cass stares at Az's ass teehee | violence (physical altercation, reader not involved), blood mention, strong language | no beta we die like men ]
summary: Despite the tension on the ice, your relationship with Cassian, the commanding captain of the Velaris Vipers, is anything but cold. His jealousy ignites when the rest of the team's flirtations become too much to ignore. In the aftermath of a disastrous game, the boundaries between playful teasing and intense passion blur, leading to a locker room encounter that challenges both your resolve and your control.
author's note: WOW, okay, this is the first fic I've written for ACOTAR, and the first fic I've written in close to a decade, so excuse me if I'm a bit rusty :) I've been going through a hockey thing lately, watching random games on youtube in their entirety, so obviously that means I had to write Cass, duh. Sorry it's on the longer side; I just had lots of ideas... like only 3k of this is plot lmfao. Enjoy!

Cassian knows they’re fucked.
You can see it on his face. With two points down and precious little time left on the clock, they need a miracle. The referee skates to center ice, puck in hand. You lean forward, breath caught in your throat, as the Velaris Vipers take their positions. The air is thick with tension, the crowd’s roar fading into a dull buzz in your ears. You knew the Hewn City Hellhounds were good, but never imagined they’d pose this much of a problem.
Cassian’s and Azriel’s eyes meet for a moment, a silent agreement passing between them. The puck drops, and its whereabouts for the seconds after are a mystery to you. After an unruly clash of hockey sticks and a mess of bodies, Cassian passes to Azriel on his left, who takes off down the ice with it. Cassian moves to mirror him on the opposite side of the ice. The Hellhounds’ defense closes in, but Cassian and Azriel move in perfect sync, the puck zipping between their sticks in a blur. They dance around the opposition, narrowly avoiding checks, their movements so fluid they don’t need to look to know where the other will be.
Just as Azriel is about to be boxed in by two defenders, a swift flick of his wrist sends the puck to Tarquin who’s come up to support them. You let out a sigh of relief, not even having seen him since he was back by the net.
Why is he up here instead of back by the net? Eris should’ve been there; it’s his one job as a winger to support Cassian as center in making goals. You scan the rink, but don’t need to for long. He skates right up to you with an air of nonchalance, like he doesn’t need to be with the rest of his team fighting for their lives. You give him an incredulous look, about to open your mouth and shout at him when he gets to the wall, but the words catch in your throat when he blows a kiss, tracing a heart on the glass with a smirk. You gather yourself quickly, but before you can scold him his back is already turned and he skates back toward the action.
You’ve grown accustomed to the team’s teasing, knowing it’s all in good spirit. But with Eris, there’s always been an undercurrent of something more intense, more deliberate. As he skates away now, you can’t help but wonder, not for the first time, just how far he’d take things if given the chance. You’ll never admit it out loud, but the way he cuts directly in front of the opposing team’s defenseman to get him away from Tarquin is impressive with how absentminded it seems.
Watching them, you reflect on the years you’ve spent at their games and practices. Not only have you witnessed their drastic improvement, but you’ve also grown close to the team. Perhaps too close, if the playful flirtations are any indication.
Yeah, maybe ‘close’ was a bit…
But it wasn’t your fault. Really! A little over three years ago, Cassian invited you to their season opener, your relationship still fresh. You hadn’t known the first thing about the sport so obviously you spent hours watching videos and frantically looking up your countless questions to ensure you wouldn’t be entirely lost. Cassian had told you on the drive home that night that word had spread rather quickly through the Vipers about the hot girl in the stands. You knew. Hot, definitely, but dumb? Oblivious? No. Of course you noticed their showing off — the goalie’s glances after skilled saves, the wingers’ risky shots, the defensemen’s aggressive checks and subsequent winks, smiles, and waves from the penalty box.
You’ve often recalled their expressions when Cassian called into the locker room for them to come meet you, when they’d seen the object of their displays throwing her arms around their captain’s neck, planting a kiss on his sweaty cheek. You weren’t necessarily shy about looking at them in their various states of undress through the doorway; some shirtless, others holding a towel in front of themselves for modesty. But Cassian introducing you as his girlfriend didn’t stop their light-hearted remarks, though they were much less blatant now. For the most part. There was still the stray push of boundaries. Neither of you have ever told them to stop. Though you both enjoyed their feeble attempts, found them entertaining, there were times you noticed him get jealous, if his clenched jaw and reddening face were anything to go by.
Tarquin deftly maneuvers around an opponent with a small spin, sending ice shavings spraying, and you aren’t sure if the move is meant to distract or simply add some flourish. He looks up and winks at you with a nod. You roll your eyes with a small smile and the puck is once again in Cassian’s possession. He either doesn’t notice or simply doesn’t care. He drives forward, eyes locked on the goal. The goalie is ready, crouched and tense, but your boys have one last trick up their sleeves.
Cassian pulls his hockey stick back and thrusts it forward with such determination that you’re sure he’s going to take the shot. But he stops just short of the puck and in an instant pushes it left and back, where Azriel is perfectly positioned. He doesn’t hesitate, slamming the puck into the net with a force that sends it rattling.
The red light flashes. Goal.
You shoot up and cheer, your shouts blending with those of the fans all around you. Previous to this, so overtaken with nerves, all you’ve been able to do is sit tight with your arms crossed, eyes darting wildly across the rink. The jovial energy doesn’t last long though. They’re still down a point, and with only a little over a minute left now, their only chance is somehow scoring and going into overtime.
You scan the rink. The three forwards take their positions: Eris, red hair peeking from his helmet, grips his stick tightly at right wing; Azriel, ever the shadow to Cassian’s light, settles into place with calm readiness; and Cassian, commanding center ice with unmatched presence. Rhysand and Tarquin hover near the blue line, mirroring each other’s poised intensity on defense. If you were closer that way, you might be able to see their eyes darting across the ice, calculating every possible move. Helion stands sentinel before the net, gaze piercing and unwavering. Each a powerhouse, but none more commanding than Cassian at center ice.
His presence is commanding and magnetic. The weight of the game seems to rest on his broad shoulders, yet he bears it with a fierce determination you find both exhilarating and reassuring. His dark hair clings to his forehead, damp with sweat, and his eyes are locked on the opposition with a predator’s focus. You love this about him — the way he can command the rink with just a glance, the way his intensity electrifies the very air around him.
Off the rink, he’s just as intense in a different way: reliable, attentive, deeply devoted. The moments you share away from the chaos — quiet dinners, late-night talks, and his arms holding you close as you get drunk off of each other’s wandering hands and lips for hours — are a stark contrast to the warrior before you now. It’s this duality, this balance of strength and tenderness, that never ceases to intrigue you.
As the clock ticked down these last few plays, you could see the resolve settling in his eyes. He isn’t just playing for the team; he’s playing for you, for the life you’re building together.
Another loud cheer from the crowd pulls you back in, and you notice the Hellhounds have taken back possession of the puck and are rapidly approaching Helion at the goal. Rhysand intercepts a pass and carries it around the back of the goal to shoot the puck forward along the side of the rink. Where Eris is supposed to receive it, the Hellhounds’ center intercepts and, guarded by a winger on either side, plows back down the ice towards the Vipers’ goal. Their wingers do a decent job of clearing a path for him. He takes the shot, and Helion miraculously changes the trajectory of the puck with a paddle save that has the audience roaring and up on their feet again. Tarquin tries to take back possession but isn’t there quickly enough. The Hellhounds still have it and go for the shot again, this time bouncing the puck off the crossbar and away from the goal.
40 seconds left.
Cassian and Rhysand guard against their opponents while Azriel and Tarquin skillfully maneuver the puck down the ice, right between people’s skates at times. Tarquin is incredibly nimble and light on his feet for a defenseman, conducting several moves that force gasps from your lips, worried something would go wrong. He makes a pass to Eris right as he gets shoved into the wall by the Hellhounds’ defense.
26 seconds.
The redhead moves with a sort of confidence that seemingly makes the other team recoil momentarily. He commands the attention of every spectator, not only because he has possession but also because of his back-to-back evasions and fakeouts.
18 seconds.
Eris approaches the goal, all six opponents converging. Cassian skates up to the left, perfectly positioned for a play they’ve practiced countless times. A simple, effective strategy — Eris just needs to pass to Cassian for the shot. Cassian catches Eris’ eye, giving him a nod. He’s open.
But Eris shakes his head.
He backtracks, attempting to outmaneuver the defense. You glance at Cassian, seeing fury building in his eyes. Tarquin and Azriel are open too, but Eris isn’t looking that way. Rhysand and Helion wear expressions of anger tinged with resigned frustration.
6 seconds left. Eris circles behind the goal, clearly aiming to nudge the puck in around the post. You can already tell it won’t work — too many opponents, and Eris’ eyes are locked on you instead of the play. He slides the puck around the post and… straight into the goalie’s leg pads.
2 seconds. Cassian and Azriel make a desperate rush, but it’s futile. You sit with a sigh, putting your head in your hands. The buzzer blares. Game over. Hewn City Hellhounds win, 5 - 4.
You distantly hear the cries and shouts from the other side of the arena celebrating their team’s win, mingled in are the groans of frustration and defeat from around you. What the fuck was he thinking? They’d had the perfect opportunity. You look up just in time to see your boyfriend shove Eris into the wall a few feet down from where you sit, the glass letting you see just how his face smashes against it with the impact. The spectators around you cheer Cassian on, as they, too, are frustrated at the person who cost them the possibility of overtime.
Immediately after impact, Cassian skates back a few feet, throws his helmet and gloves off, and raises his fists. Eris mirrors the action after throwing down his stick. Cassian’s is discarded way back near the goal. There’s no going in circles to see who moves first; Cassian is on him, landing blow after blow to his face and head. His own face goes red with anger as he shouts what you assume to be chastising, scolding words at the other. You can’t hear anything above the crowd around you spurring him on. Across the ice, the rest of the team just watches, arms crossed and chests heaving.
Eris finally gathers himself, landing a left hook to Cassian’s jaw. He takes the opportunity to pull him down a bit by the hair and uses his other hand to keep punching. The refs are finally on their way to break it up, but both of their blood has already spilled onto the glass and ice. You strain to catch their words, curiosity flaring as Eris’ eyes flick to you, his lips curling into that infuriating smirk. Whatever he said next had Cassian lunging forward with another barrage of punches.
As the refs finally near them, you decide you've seen enough and navigate your way out of the stands to the locker room entrance just as you always have at the end of their matches.
You’ve never seen him get like this. Sure, you’ve seen him get into a fight every now and then, after which he’d pout at you from the penalty box (if he wasn’t still too overcome with anger). But this? In-fighting? Never. He’s usually the one splitting the guys up. And though he gets into disagreement after disagreement with Eris, it’s never turned into this. You’re not even sure why it escalated so quickly — they’ve been doing really well this season and the playoffs are still months away. This was by no means a high-stakes game for them.
Just as you cross your arms over your chest and lean against the wall across from the locker room door, you hear the familiar cacophony that comes with lost games. You prefer it to the times they come back silent — the times the car ride home goes by without a word exchanged. Those are few and far in between, though.
The din of angry voices and clattering equipment grows louder as the team approaches. You straighten up, eyes fixed on the corridor’s entrance. When Cassian emerges, leading the group, your heart sinks. His jaw is clenched, gaze locked straight ahead with an intensity that makes you hesitate.
Still, you take a few steps towards him. “Cass,” you start, your voice barely audible above the commotion.
He doesn’t even blink. Cassian strides past you, the heat of his anger almost palpable as he disappears into the locker room. The door slams shut behind him, leaving you staring at its blank surface.
You're still processing when you feel a light touch at your waist. Azriel slides past you with a sympathetic nod. Helion follows, his hand ghosting across your lower back as he squeezes through. If you weren’t caught so off guard you may have leaned into their touch. Rhysand, ever the gentleman even in defeat, murmurs a quiet “Rough night, darling” as he moves around you.
“Think Cassian would mind if you played nurse?” Eris drawls, gesturing to his bruised face. He gives what would be a stunning smile if not for the blood staining his teeth. His eyes flicker to the locker room door, then back to you. “I promise I’d be a much more… grateful patient.” He lingers only a moment longer, and you’re sure he’d jump at the chance in a heartbeat if you gave the word, before sauntering into the locker room with a self-assured smirk.
You lean against the wall, arms crossed. The muffled sounds of frustration and anger seep through the locker room door, punctuated by the occasional crash of equipment being thrown. You check your phone, scrolling mindlessly through social media to distract yourself. Already, clips of the fight are circulating, fans dissecting every move, every punch. You decide to just put your phone back in your pocket.
The shouting inside gradually dies down, replaced by the sound of running water. Showers. You find yourself straining to hear any indication of Cassian’s mood, wondering if the shower is doing anything to cool his temper.
The corridor gradually empties as staff and other team personnel file out. You shift your weight from one foot to another, replying to texts to pass the time. The showers shut off one by one. You hear locker doors opening and closing, the murmur of subdued conversations. The guys eventually trickle out, hair still damp. They offer you tight smiles or brief nods as they pass, their usual post-game chatter noticeably absent. The weight of the loss and the fight hangs heavy in the air; even Eris walks past you without so much as a smirk.
“(Y/N).”
You feel your heart drop to your stomach at his tone — it’s commanding, and the raspiness from all the shouting in his already deep voice sends a conflicting shiver through you. It does nothing to calm your nerves, but ignites a different kind of tension altogether. You take a step off the wall as you respond.
“Yeah…?”
“Get in here.”
This better be fucking good, you think, but find yourself swallowing hard anyway. You push the door and step in, and if your breath wasn’t already stuck in your throat, you might have choked on it at the sight.
Cassian sits on one of the benches, a towel wrapped loosely around his waist. His elbows rest on his knees, hands hanging loose between them, and his damp hair partially obscures his face as he stares down at his calloused fingers.
You take a few tentative steps, stopping a few paces before the bench. The door finally shuts behind you, the loud click echoing in the otherwise silent room. Neither of you speak for long enough that you feel like you should say something, but when you open your mouth-
“Sit. And listen to me very carefully.”
His voice is low and measured, but the underlying tension is palpable. You lower yourself onto the bench across from him, heart pounding. His eyes lock onto you, dark and intense. He stands, closing the distance between you in two long strides. His towel now hangs dangerously low on his hips as he looms over you, still sitting on the bench.
“That game,” he growls, “was a disaster.”
You can feel the heat radiating from his skin, still flushed from the shower, as he leans down, placing his hands on either side of you on the bench. You have to tilt your head back to meet his gaze. His face is inches from yours, breath warm on your cheek.
“Eris blew it,” he continues, voice low and rough. “But y’know what? It wasn’t just him. The whole team was off today.” He leans in closer, his breath ghosting your ear. "And I think I know why."
He pulls back slightly, just enough to look you in the eyes. His gaze roams over your face, over your surprise laden eyes, lingering on your lips before snapping back up.
"I saw the way they kept looking at you," he murmurs so quietly you can hardly hear him. "Tarquin missing easy passes, Azriel fumbling checks he'd usually nail." His free hand comes up to brush a strand of hair from your face, the touch feather-light and sending shivers down your spine. "Even Helion let in shots he'd normally block without breaking a sweat.” You can feel the tension coiling in Cassian's body, see the muscle in his jaw working as he clenches it.
"It's getting to be too much," he says, the hand that brushed your hair back now on your chin, tilting your face up to his. "The guys can't focus when you're here." His thumb brushes across your lower lip, and you can’t help but part your mouth open a bit at the touch. "Maybe I need to stop bringing you to these things. If you're going to keep distracting the team like this..."
His gaze intensifies, dark eyes boring into yours. He’s so close you can feel the warmth of his breath on your lips as he speaks.
"We can't have that, can we, baby?"
The notion is absurd. Stop going to his games? Your brows furrow as you look at him incredulously. “That’s hardly my fault-”
“Didn’t I tell you to sit and listen!?” He shouts suddenly, his grip on your chin tightening. Your eyes shoot wide open, but not in surprise.
In understanding.
He’d never really talk to you like this, you both knew that. This was one of his games. And, oh, how you so loved playing them.
You keep the smirk from tugging at the corners of your lips.
“Funny, I thought you liked it when all eyes were on me.”
“I like it when they look. I don’t like it when they forget their place.”
Your breath catches, a mix of anticipation and desire. You can see the fire in his eyes, the barely contained jealousy and possessiveness. You lean in slightly, testing the boundaries. “And what exactly is their place, Cassian?” you ask, your voice low and teasing. “More importantly, what’s mine?”
His eyes narrow at your challenge, a dangerous smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. He releases your chin, only to trail his fingers down your neck, coming to rest at your collarbone. The light touch leaves goosebumps in its wake. “Their place?” His eyes harden slightly. “To play hockey. Nothing more. I bring them some eye candy out of the kindness of my heart, and how do they repay me? By letting themselves get distracted and costing us games.” A sharp exhale.
“Your place?” he murmurs, his voice a low rumble that you feel more than hear. Without warning, his hand slides to the back of your neck, fingers tangling in your hair. The sudden grip is firm but not painful. Cassian steps over the bench in one fluid motion, his hold on you guiding you to turn with him. You instinctively follow his lead, twisting on the bench to face him and rising as he pulls you close. His movements are firm as he turns you both and directs you backward, until you feel the cool press of metal against your shoulders. With a gentle but insistent pressure, he keeps you pinned there, pushing his hips against your own. His eyes lock onto yours as he leans in, closing the distance between your lips.
The kiss is nothing romantic. It’s pure lust, disguised as frustration, as consequation. Where his words were clearly deliberate, his actions feign abandon. You match his intensity, your lips moving against his with equal fervor, your body arching into his touch. The grip on your hair remained, his other hand sliding slowly from your hip to your waist, then up again to your chest. He was like a starved man, grabbing onto whatever flesh he could get his hands on. The hand you didn’t have snaked around the back of his neck desperately explored every valley of his bare torso, products of his years playing the sport.
The sounds of heavy breaths and locking lips fill the room, grunts following not long after. Cassian lets out an especially depraved groan, rolling his head back, when you slide your hand down to squeeze him through the precariously wrapped towel. But when you move to pull it off, his own hand swats yours away.
“With what you did tonight, you think that’s allowed? You think you decide how this goes?” His words hang in the air, heavy with implication. You pause, processing his question, the sudden shift.
“What I did tonight?” you manage, your voice slightly breathless. “I didn’t do anything.”
Cassian’s laugh is low and humorless. “Didn’t do anything? Sweetheart… don’t play innocent.” His fingers tighten in your hair, making you suck in a sharp breath through your teeth. “Every cheer, every jump, every little gasp… You put on quite the show, didn’t you?” He leans in, his breath hot against your ear. “And don’t think I didn’t notice the way your eyes stuck to Eris. Tell me, did you like it when he blew you that kiss?”
Yes.
His gaze continues to burn into yours, a mix of jealousy and desire, as if he could somehow read the response in your eyes. “You’ve got the whole team wrapped around your finger and you know it.”
You steel yourself, meeting his gaze with an intense one of your own. “And so what if I do?” you challenge, voice steadier now. “I’m not responsible for how your team reacts to me. If they can’t keep their eyes on the game, maybe that’s on them.”
You lean in slightly, mimicking his earlier movement. “Or maybe it’s on you, Captain. Shouldn’t you be able to keep your team focused?” Something dangerous flashes through his eyes.
“You’re pushing boundaries you don’t fully understand.”
“Or maybe I understand them better than you think.” Your voice is steady despite the thrumming of your pulse.
“Understand this, then.” Your stomach flips. His eyes narrow, a muscle in his jaw twitching. “Stirring up my team? That’s a direct shot at me, at my authority.”
You scoff, feigning incredulity. “Authority? If you had any authority, do you think they’d look at me the way they do, touch me the way they do?” A pause. “Did you think it ended with the showboating? No, baby, they put their hands on me so often I’m starting to forget what yours feel like.”
Of course he knew, noticed it early on and said nothing after discovering that neither of you truly minded.
“Helion seems to enjoy putting his hand on my lower back when he moves around me for a chance to ‘slip’ and cop a feel,” you continue. “Ever notice how Rhys almost always greets me with a hug? Squeezes me? Oh! And the way-”
“Enough.” Cassian’s voice cuts through your words like a blade, low and sharp. The hand that doesn’t still have a fistful of your hair in it shoots out to grasp the junction of your neck and shoulder, his calloused fingers feel like they’re searing into you. “You think I don’t see it all? See how they undress you with their eyes? How their fingers itch to trace every curve they imagine beneath your clothes?”
You feel a slight downward pressure, pushing on your shoulder, pulling on your hair. “But here’s what you’re missing, sweetheart. They might play at ownership, but at the end of the day, who do they answer to?”
He pulls back slightly, to really take in the sight of you. “Who do you answer to when the game’s over and the lights go down?”
The question hangs in the air between you. You can feel the heat radiating off his body. Cassian’s gaze intensifies, his grip on your hair and shoulder tightening. “Because make no mistake,” he continues, voice dropping to a dangerous whisper, and the downward force he’s inflicting on you growing steadily. “This little game you’re playing? It ends when I say it does.”
The pressure on your shoulder increases, his intent clear. You resist for a moment longer, but the fire in his eyes, the set of his jaw… His command is clear. Though you have half a mind to resist, a thrill runs through you, making your heart beat faster and your breath hitch slightly. The sheer possessiveness in his gaze is enough to make your knees weak.
Slowly, inexorably, he guides you downward, your body responding almost involuntarily to the authoritative tone and the heat of his voice. You look up at him from your new position, the sight of him towering over you sending a shiver down your spine. His eyes hold yours captive as he looms above you. You’re aware of how your breathing quickens with anticipation, how Cassian’s throat bobs as he watches you. He’s still holding your hair, and you can tell he’s enjoying the submission he’s coaxed from you, his gaze a mix of satisfaction and barely restrained desire.
That grip tightens a fraction as he leans into you, his other hand coming up to cup your jaw, his thumb tracing a path along your lower lip, but different from before. Where his last touch there had been gentle and barely there, this one is firm and deliberate.
Cassian’s voice, when he finally speaks, is low and rough. “Open,” he commands, the single word laden with authority and promise.
You shudder as his command rolls over you, your body responding without conscious thought. Your lips part slightly in response to his order. His gaze is fixed intently on your face. “That’s it,” he murmurs, his gaze unwavering. His thumb traces along the curve of your lower lip with deliberate slowness, a firmness matching that of his eyes. For a heartbeat, he applies the gentlest pressure, slipping it into your mouth for a moment, his eyes locked on yours. “Now be a good girl and stay just like that for me.”
You hold yourself still, holding his gaze as you keep your mouth open, your tongue instinctively darting out to moisten your lower lip when he pulls his hand away. He finally releases your hair and it’s an effort to contain your sigh of relief. You hear more than see the towel fall from his hips to the floor. The same fingers that gripped your face moments ago now wrap around his girth, absently stroking the already-hard length of it. His pupils are dilated at the sight of you obediently holding yourself still, your mouth open, and he can barely restrain the hunger that’s been building in him.
Cassian’s large hand cradles your jaw, drawing you even closer. His presence is overwhelming, and as he aligns himself with your mouth, there’s no warning before he thrusts in. Initially, his movements are slow, almost deceivingly gentle, but you realize too late it’s quite the opposite. Halfway in, you manage, but as he pushes to the hilt, he does so painfully slowly. You try to relax, your throat attempting to accommodate him. The slow withdrawal is worse, your breath ragged as you inhale through your nose.
He pulls out slowly, leaving you gasping for air. He looks down at you with a mix of confusion and pity. “Look at you,” he murmurs, his thumb brushing your cheek. “Struggling already. I thought you could handle more.”
You meet his gaze, eyes watering but defiant. You want to tell him that you can, that he knows you can, but when you make to speak, the corner of his mouth twitches in a smirk, and he pushes back in, a little faster this time. “Is this what you wanted, baby? To be on your knees, taking me like this?”
He thrusts deeper, making you choke slightly. Cassian groans, a low rumble of a sound that reverberates through you. “That’s why you acted out, distracted my guys, huh? You just wanted me to give you a little attention.” He picks up the pace, each thrust more forceful yet. “Bet you think about this all the time,” he growls. “When you’re watching us play, you’re not watching the game, are you? No… You’re staring at Azriel’s tight, perfect ass, aren’t you? I see the way you watch him.” You can only moan in response. Cassian’s fingers slip into your hair on either side, holding your head back against the lockers, his movements becoming relentless.
“And don’t think I haven’t noticed the way your eyes go to Helion between plays, when he takes his helmet off. You love how big he is, how powerful. You get off on watching him, don’t you?” The tension between you both is palpable, but his eyes are fixated on you, a storm of emotions swirling within them. “I see you staring whenever any of them are in the penalty box. You’re not thinking about the game then, are you? Bet you wish you were in there with them. You’re probably thinking about Tarquin’s pretty blue eyes, you want him to pin you with that look, don’t you? Or Rhys’s hands, wanting them all over you. And Eris,” he spits out the name, pairs it with a particularly rough thrust of his hips. “You eat up the way he flexes his arms when he flirts with you, I know you do.” The locker room fills with the sounds of your shared breaths, the slap of skin against skin, and the harsh whisper of his voice.
Each name, each accusation, sends a wave of shame through you. You want to deny it all, but Cassian’s relentless pace and your restrained position make it impossible. The truth is, you do think about those things — more often than you’d ever admit. The thoughts swirl in your mind, but they never take away from the attention you give Cassian. You’re most often fixated on him during games, your eyes unabashedly stuck on the way his body moves. The powerful stride of his legs, the way his strong hands grip the stick, the intense focus in his eyes. Your mind almost always lands on thoughts of his sweat-slicked skin, the hard lines of his body beneath the uniform. Your desire for him gets overwhelming, which is why the current activity is typically the one of choice after these games.
This was the first time you hadn’t waited until home though.
He continues, his movements relentless. “You know what Eris told me out there, baby? Who am I kidding, of course you don’t, you were too busy entertaining the rest of the guys, isn’t that right?” You try to respond, but choke on his length, his brutal pace bruising the back of your throat. “Isn’t that right? Answer me (Y/N),” he growls, keeping your head firmly pressed against the lockers.
You try to answer, but all you can manage is an unintelligible garble, gagging as you attempt to speak. If there weren’t already tears in your eyes from the physical strain, there certainly would be after hearing his cold, short laugh.
“Can’t even own up to it,” Cassian tsks. “He told me that you,” he punctuates the ‘you’ with a particularly deep thrust, “have been running around telling them all how badly you want them. That you give them fuck-me eyes when I’m not around. Is that true, baby? Have you been going behind my back? Want them to pass you around and take turns with you?” At each question he pulls almost all the way out, slamming back in soon after. You manage a quick shake of your head before his grip tightens on it again. You can only look up at him with your tear-brimmed, pleading eyes. “No, I didn’t think so,” he murmurs, a thumb grazing soothingly across your cheek. You may have taken comfort in it if you didn’t know any better.
“I knew you wouldn’t say those things,” he says calmly, but suddenly pulls himself out and leans over you, forcing your head up to look at him. “But you think them, don’t you?”
You’re still trying to gasp in air as you fight to respond. “No,” but you don’t sound convincing. Not when your voice is so hoarse. “No, I promise, I never said those things — never thought them either.” You’re coughing, trying to regain your composure, and you’re grateful he gives you a moment.
“Take off your pants,” he orders suddenly, the command sending a jolt of anticipation through you. You stand slowly, and your hands tremble slightly as you obey, slipping out of your pants and kicking them aside. His eyes rake over your body, lingering on the sight of his jersey hanging loosely on you, the contrast between the oversized shirt and your bare legs making his pupils dilate with desire. “Keep it on,” he adds when you reach for it. Cassian leans forward, now eye-level with you.
“Come on,” he breathes out, a hand snakes under the jersey and onto your bare hip, those calloused fingers squeezing. “You can’t honestly tell me you don’t think about them. How their hands would feel if they were running up your thighs, grabbing your hips, pulling you close.” His actions mirror his words deliciously, and his words pour over you in a dangerous whisper, the heat of his breath against your ear sending a shiver down your spine.  “About how it would feel to have their hands squeezing and groping you wherever they wanted. How about if instead of stealing little touches here and there, they grew some fucking balls, grabbed you by the hips,” his fingers dig in firmly, and you catch him tilt his chin to his shoulder, a glimpse of his true nature shining through the silent signal to grab on, “and lifted you up like this?”
You barely have a moment to grab on when, with a swift, powerful motion, Cassian lifts you up, pressing you against the lockers. Your legs instinctively wrap around his waist, and your arms around his neck as he holds you there, his body pinning yours and his hands holding you up by your ass. The cold metal of the lockers contrasts with the heat from both of your bodies. You try to arch away from it, but only manage to push yourself flush against him, feeling the undeniable hardness of him pressing against your core, a reminder of how desperately you both want this. The sensation sends a jolt of electricity through you, making you gasp and tighten your grip around his neck.
You want to deny it, to insist that your thoughts are innocent, but the intensity of his gaze tells you he wouldn’t believe you. You swallow hard, the taste of him still lingering on your tongue, as you shake your head once more, more for your own reassurance than his.
“It’s not like that…” you plead, trying to catch your breath, eyes wide with a mix of defiance and vulnerability. “I—” Your voice falters, the words stuck in your throat. “You don’t understand.”
Cassian’s eyes narrow, his grip tightening ever so slightly. You knew there would be bruises later. “Enlighten me,” he growls.
You take a breath. “When I watch you out there, all I can think about is how much I want you,” you confess. “The way you move, the way you lead and command everything… It drives me crazy. They’re just petty distractions. You’re the one I can’t resist. The one I crave,” you assure him, moving the stray hair from his eyes. “You’re the one I want, Cassian. Only you, you know that.”
His expression softens, as do his fingers on your skin, his intense gaze seeming to melt as he absorbs your words. He leans in closer, his forehead resting against yours, his breath mingling with your own. “Maybe you’re right,” he murmurs, his voice tender, almost vulnerable. “Maybe I’ve been too harsh.” A hand rubs your side soothingly under the jersey, making its way up to massage your breast.
You smile softly, but just as you begin to feel a sense of relief, his grip on you tightens again, a bit painful on your breast. There’s a familiar, dangerous glint in his eyes. “But then again,” he whispers, “I can’t just ignore the way you look at them, baby. I can’t let that go with a few sweet words from those pretty lips of yours,” he catches your bottom lip between his teeth, pulling softly before releasing it. “You like their attention, being desired by them. Just admit it.”
You hesitate, your mind torn between denial and the undeniable truth. Unable to look him in the eyes, you nod slowly. Your voice is barely a whisper when you speak. “I do…”
“That’s what I thought,” he murmurs, voice low and pensive. He presses you harder against the lockers, his hands roaming over you slowly, almost absently. “Enjoy it all you want, but don’t you dare let them think they have a chance. You know who I mean.”
Your heart races as you nod, whispering, “Eris.” It was obvious.
Cassian frowns. “It wasn’t a question,” he snaps. “I let you play these pathetic little games of yours, but don’t think for a second that it’s an invitation to have another man’s name on your lips while I’m inside you.”
With a sharp, forceful movement, he thrusts into you, the suddenness making you cry out, the sound bouncing through the tiled room. “Do you understand?” he demands, and you nod again, vigorously this time, a soft whimper escaping your lips at the fullness.
Without another word, he finally captures your mouth in a fierce, possessive kiss, his tongue gliding over yours with a fervor that leaves you breathless. His hands slide down to your thighs, and he begins to move against you. There was nothing soft or caring about it, the motions unyielding and powerful. His hands grip you tightly as he fucks you into the cold metal of the lockers, his thrusts hard and deep.
“Is this what you wanted?” His voice is harsh and taunting. “To be fucked like this, right here where anyone could walk in? You think about this every time you see them, don’t you?” That’s when you remember that you are, in fact, in a place where anyone could find you like this. A blush rises to your cheeks at the realization, and you can tell he gets off on your embarrassment when he fails to suppress a smirk. You try grounding yourself by grabbing him wherever you can, hands out of his hair and grasping at his shoulders, nails digging in. “I know you like teasing them,” he continues, voice little more than a rumble. “Making them think they have a chance. They’ll never have you like this, (Y/N).”
His pace quickens, and he speaks into your neck. “Tarquin mentioned how you blush every time he catches you staring. What do you think about when you look at him, hm?” But you’re a mess, so lost in pleasure you can hardly process he’s asked you a question until he bites down on the crook of your neck. He doesn’t wait for your response, however, before he continues. “And Helion said you can’t keep your eyes off his arms. Is that what you want? You want his arms wrapped around you?” He changes his rhythm suddenly, now pulling out all the way to the tip before ramming back in.
“Do you understand how fucking embarrassing it is,” he starts, voice cold, barely heard over your screams and moans, “to have my team—my friends—telling me how they catch you practically drooling at them, that you’d take them over me if you got the chance?” You shake your head adamantly at that.
“No, Cass, you know that isn’t true!” You try to keep your voice even, to be taken seriously, but the lewd sounds in the air of him pounding your soaked, dripping cunt don’t do anything to help. It’s hard to continue when he leans down and sucks one of your nipples into his mouth, tongue dancing across the sensitive skin. “No one could fuck me as good as you do,” you breathe out, and you hope the moans cutting through your words are indication enough of it. “You’re the only one I want, the only one who makes me feel like this,” you manage to say between gasps. “They mean nothing compared to you.”
He appears to consider your words and you think he might be convinced, but nothing changes. Other than, perhaps, the smirk on his lips. “You know what Azriel told me while he was leaving? He asked if I needed any help with you in here. Can you believe that, baby?” His thrusts grow even more intense. “He had the nerve to ask me if he could join in…” A scoff. “As if I’d let him touch you. As if I’d share you with anyone else.”
“Don’t want anyone else,” you murmur, eyes going unfocused from the overwhelming sensation of it all, but he speaks over you, seemingly not having heard you. Nevermind the thought that they all likely knew what would transpire in this room after they left. You hoped it was only Azriel, with how observant he was.
“I can’t blame him though, can’t really blame any of them. It’s not their fault you’re such a sneaky fucking tease. It’s a wonder they don’t feel entitled to you yet…”
His words sting, but they also go straight to your cunt, and you feel yourself clench around him. His possessiveness, his dominance — it’s intoxicating. You try to respond, but your breath is practically forced out of your lungs with a loud moan as his pace quickens again.
“Look at you,” he continues, his voice dripping with anger and desire. “Barely able to form a sentence. Does it turn you on, knowing they all want you? Knowing that I’m the only one who gets to have you like this?”
You manage a shaky nod, and quip back. “I know it turns you on, how much you keep mentioning them.” It catches him off guard, your short moment of lucidity. For a brief second, he stills, eyes widening in surprise before narrowing again, a smirk tugging at his lips.
“Oh, you think you’re fucking clever,” he murmurs. “I know what you’re doing,” his nails dig into your skin as he thrusts into you, making you cry out, “and it won’t work.”
He shifts slightly, angling his hips to hit a spot inside you that makes you gasp in pleasure, hands scrambling for purchase on him, on the lockers, on yourself. The sound echoes through the locker room, mingling with the existing ones.
“Tell me you’re mine.”
“I’m yours, I’m all yours, Cassian. Only yours, please!”
He groans, the sound vibrating through his chest and into yours. “Good girl,” he murmurs, his tone softening for just a moment before he resumes his relentless pace. “Again. Louder.”
“I’m yours!” you cry out desperately. “Only yours!” You find yourself wondering if there’s anyone left in the building, if they can hear you. You subsequently decide you don’t care. His eyes flicker down to the jersey number stretched across your chest, and a satisfied smirk forms across his lips. “Look at you, wearing my number,” his eyes are full of pride.
You nod, lips parting with a moan. “Wanted to show everyone who I’m here for. I belong to you, Cassian.”
“Damn right, you do,” he mutters, his movements becoming more desperate than forceful. You know your boyfriend well enough to know he’s getting close. Each thrust, combined with that knowledge, sends waves of pleasure through your body. “I want to hear you, baby,” he demands, his voice strained with need.
“Cassian!” you scream, your voice hoarse, broken by moans and cries. “Cassian, please!”
His breath puffs against your neck as he groans your name in return. The sound of your combined moans and skin against skin echoes off the walls. And with a particularly powerful thrust, he empties himself into you, your cries mingling when he doesn’t stop.
“That’s it, baby,” you whisper to him, running your hands through his hair soothingly, coaxing him through his orgasm. He shudders against you, his grip on you gradually loosening. For a moment, he rests his forehead against yours, panting heavily, his breath ragged. As the adrenaline rush fades, Cassian’s breathing slows, the intensity in his eyes softening. Slowly, he pulls out, leaving you feeling achingly empty.
But before you can protest, he lowers you to the ground, drops to his knees, and pulls one of your legs over his shoulder to rest your foot on the bench behind him. His hands slide down your thighs, feeling the mix of your arousal and his seed. “You didn’t think I’d leave you like this, did you?” he murmurs, voice filled with a renewed hunger. His mouth descends on you without warning, his tongue gliding over your sensitive flesh, tasting both of you. The sudden jolt of pleasure makes you gasp, your hands flying to his hair as he works you.
Cassian looks up at you, his eyes dark with desire as he devours you. “You taste so fucking good,” he says against you, the vibrations against your clit drawing a moan from you. His tongue works with relentless precision, each flick and swirl drawing out gasps and moans from you. His hands grip your thighs firmly, keeping you steady as he devours you. You can feel the roughness of his calloused fingers digging into your skin.
You clutch at his hair, your fingers tangling in the damp strands as you pull him closer. You rut your hips against his face, seeking more pressure, more friction. Every movement of his tongue sends shivers up your spine, your body responding to him with a need that borders on desperation. He knows exactly how to push you, bringing you close before pulling back, leaving you teetering on the brink of insanity.
His eyes lock onto yours, filled with a fierce determination. “I want to hear you,” he murmurs against your sensitive flesh, his breath hot and tantalizing. “Say my name.”
“Cassian,” you moan, your voice trembling with the intensity of your need. “Please, don’t stop.”
He smirks, lips curving against you as he doubles his efforts. His tongue plunges deeper, his hands squeezing your thighs tighter as he pulls you even closer. You can feel the building pressure, the coil of pleasure tightening inside you, ready to snap.
“Good girl,” he whispers. “Good fucking girl… Come for me.”
With those words and a final flick of his tongue, you shatter, your orgasm crashing over you. Your body convulses, your cries echoing off the tiled walls as you ride out the waves of pleasure. Cassian doesn’t stop, his tongue continuing to lap at you, drawing out every last bit of your release until you’re a trembling, boneless mess in his arms.
Finally, he pulls back, his lips glistening with a mix of your juices and his satisfaction. You feel his warmth spilling out of you, trickling down your thighs as he rises to his feet. His eyes blaze with a dark, possessive fire as he takes in your thoroughly spent form. There’s no need for words; the look in his eyes tells you everything you need to know.
Remember this, his look seems to say. Remember what happened here.
You meet his gaze, your own eyes still hazy with the aftermath of your climax. There’s no need for further declarations or reassurances; the intensity of what just transpired speaks for itself.

note: the stadium series was three weeks ago, but im still thinking about this so enjoy!
The wind was cold as it bit at the exposed skin of your face, turning your cheeks and nose a dark shade of red. Your hands were clad in your thickest gloves, body bundled in the warmest clothes as you shuffled near the lively group of friends and family beside you. Many were in town for the stadium series game, smiles on their faces as they proudly represented their player. Excitement was filling the air as everyone conversed and waited for the guys to finally walk out.
You were standing near his sister and dad, laughing about something in the story they had been telling you when you felt your phone buzz in your jacket pocket. It was almost time for the guys to come out on the ice for their pictures and for practice, so you assumed that it was Nico sending you his usual selfie with a silly little caption attached to it. You carefully slipped one of your gloves off and grabbed your phone while there was a break in the conversation.
When you opened to his message, your breath hitched in your throat when you saw the black streaks underneath his eyes. You knew he was going to be wearing eye black, he told you so himself, but you didn’t prepare yourself for what he was going to look like with it on. Your pupils were blown slightly wider, lip subtly pulled between your teeth as your gaze stayed on the picture of him. It wasn’t until you felt a gentle nudge into your bicep that you looked away.
“Girl, you’re drooling,” Nicole chuckled, raising her eyebrows at you before she glanced at your phone, “Lucky you. J chose not to wear it.”
“He’s trying to kill me,” You shook your head, your face now flushed from the thoughts passing through your mind.
“Don’t act like you’re complaining,” She teased, bumping into your shoulder with her own.
“Oh, I’m not.”
You fell back into conversation with Nico’s family, slipping your gloves back on over your hands and shoving them into your pockets. Nina was asking about how things had been going between you and her brother, making sure he was treating you the way he should be. You assured her that he was before asking about her own love life, diving into her ventures. She was finishing up a story about her recent date when they announced that the guys were to be walking out in a few minutes, and everyone gathered close to watch.
The sound of music blaring out of the stadium interrupted your conversation, causing everyone’s heads to turn towards the platform they were walking out on. The guys trickled out of the tunnel one by one, but the second your eyes landed on Nico it was like everything and everyone else around him blurred into the background.  He was wearing their game uniform, the team beanie sat on top of head as he walked towards the ice.
Your eyes were focused on him and only him as he slipped the skate covers off and stepped onto the rink, skating around with his friends until he noticed you standing by his family. The two of you made eye contact, him dropping his left eye into a wink before he turned back to the team. You press your thighs together, your heart slamming into your chest as images of him hovering over you flooded your mind.
Nina wasn’t blind to your sudden shift in demeanor, shaking her head as she watches your eyes bashfully dart to the ground in front of you. She was silently thankful her brother had gotten her and their dad their own hotel rooms, and she made a note to not put the key to his apartment he had given her to use tonight.
Everyone watches as the team gathered around for their team picture, their brief practice starting not much long after they finished them. You joked around with those around you, laughing at Kevin as he skated around with the football helmet on, but there was one thing at the back of your mind the entire time. Just when you thought you had composed yourself, you’d catch a glimpse of Nico and it sent you reeling back to the dirtiest parts of your mind.
When practice was over and they started to let families and friends onto the ice, you waited with Nina for Nico to get done talking to whoever he needed to. You were a little rusty with your skating abilities, so you often found yourself grasping onto her bicep to keep yourself from falling. You heard his laughter as he skated over to the three of you, his eyes full of amusement as he watches you grasp his sister.
“Versuchst du, mir mein mädchen zu stehlen,” Nico jokes at his sister, playfully narrowing his eyes at her. (Are you stealing my girl?)
“Ich bin das bessere geschwister,” She rolls her eyes. (I am the better sibling.)
Nico stops next to you, grabbing your arm and carefully pulling you into his side as he greets his sister and dad before placing a kiss to your temple. Your arm wraps around his waist to keep yourself steady as you peer up at him, your lip subtly being pulled between your teeth as your eyes dance across his face. He feels your stare on him, and he breaks his gaze away from his dad to look down at you.
“You okay,” He asked, voice quiet as he squeezed your shoulders.
“More than okay,” You giggle as your eyes briefly flit down to the streaks under his eyes to his lips.
He notices the way your gaze drops, and he raises his eyebrows as a knowing glint sparkles in his eyes. Suddenly he’s hyper aware of the way your bottom lip was red from your teeth and you looked flushed in a different way than the others. He notices the way you swallow thickly the longer you look at him, and he knows exactly what’s going through your mind.
He leans down, his lips hovering right above your ear as he whispers, “Good thing I got them a hotel, yeah?”
Your eyes dart back up to his, wide and excited as he gives you a smug smirk before he turns back to the others around him. He takes your hand in his own and skates around the rink, the two of you stopping and mingling with the others when he could tell you were getting a little too unsteady. When he has to do something for the media team, you try and skate around on your own, but you end up barreling into Luke and using him as a stabilizer for a while.
The rest of the skate goes by fairly quickly and people slowly begin to filter off the rink to go home and rest before the busy day that followed. You had made your way back to Nico’s family, discussing your plans for tomorrow when he approached the three of you asking if they were ready to go. He helped you off the ice and had you sit on the bench so that he could unlace your skates.
As you watch him on one knee in front of you, his fingers undoing the tight laces, you can’t help but admire him. Loose strands of his hair had fallen out of his beanie and into his face. His eyelashes were full and long in a way that always made you a teeny bit envious because yours were nowhere near that beautiful. Warmth spread from your core as your gaze lingered on him, and you couldn’t wait to get home.
“Nico,” You called out when he slipped off the other skate, leaning down so you were centimeters away from his face, “Leave the eye black on.”
“Planned on it,” He winked, placing a small kiss to your lips before he pulled away, “I’m going to drop my sister and dad off at the hotel. I’ll see you at home. I love you!”
Time seemed to slow down when you arrived at the apartment, waiting for Nico to walk through the door. You had attempted to pass the time by changing out of your many layers of clothes and into a t-shirt from his closet. Now, you were unloading the dishwasher while you waited. However, you were too engrossed with making sure the dishes were placed the correct way that you missed the sound of the door opening.
Nico had carefully dropped his bag by the door and slipped his shoes off, keeping his footsteps light and quiet while he approached you from behind. His eyes dragged the length of your body, taking in the way his shirt barely covered the curve of your ass and the way your legs were on full display. The sight alone made his cock twitch in his pants, but he knew he’d get to have his way with you soon.
“Hi,” He whispers as he wraps his arms around your front, pulling you into his chest as you let out a surprised squeal.
“Hi, baby,” You giggled as you further pressed yourself against him, craning your neck so that you were looking at him, “I see you left it on.”
“Of course I did,” He hummed as he spun you around so that your body was facing him, his fingers slipping underneath the material of the shirt, “Anything for you.”
You wrapped your arms around his neck, standing on your toes as your eyes danced across his face. Nico’s hands flex on your hips, slightly pulling them into his own as he swipes his tongue across his lips. He keeps his eyes trained on your face, waiting in impatient anticipation for you to make the first move. He watches as your gaze briefly pauses over the ink on his cheeks, your pupils dilating every so subtly before you’re surging forward and slamming your lips against his own.
His fingers press into the flesh of your hips as he backs you against the counter of the center island. Your hands tangle in his hair, gently pulling and tugging on the strands as you slip your tongue into his mouth, his low groan vibrating against your lips. He slides his hands down to grasp the backside of your thighs, effortlessly lifting you so that you were sitting on the cool marble of the counter.
“Bedroom,” You breath out as he pulls away to kiss along your jaw down to the sensitive skin of your neck.
“No. Right here,” He mumbles, his teeth scraping the column of your throat and one of his hands grazing your inner thigh.
You let him push your thighs apart as he sucks at the skin just below your ear, your head thrown back as soft pants slip through your lips. His fingers ghost over your heat, making you whine out in desperation for his fingers, for his mouth, for him. You feel the rumble of his amusement on your throat before he’s pulling away from you, his gaze dark as he looks down at you.
“Not wearing panties,” He taunts as he cocks his head to the side, “That desperate, are you?”
“Nico,” You groan, your eyes wide and pleading, “I need you, please baby. Please.”
“Good girl,” He murmurs as he slides a finger through your folds, teasing you, “I like when you beg for it.”
You squeeze your eyes shut as he presses the pad of his thumb to your clit, sending a jolt to your nerves. You can hear the soft thud of his knees hitting the floor, so you force your eyes open to see him slotted between your thighs. He’s looking up at you, smile smug and eyes shining with a wicked glint to them. He drops his gaze to the sight of you dripping in front of him, and your breath catches in your throat in anticipation.
The second Nico’s lips brush against the soft skin on the inside of your thigh, your eyes are fluttering closed and you’re tilting your head back in ecstasy. He’s placing a mixture of delicate and open mouthed kisses as he moves closer and closer to your center, lighting the skin on fire in the wake of his touch. You can feel his warm breath hitting your aching pussy, sending your hand flying to tangle in his hair as he briefly flicks eyes back up to you.
He flattens his tongue in between your folds, licking a stripe between them as he grips your thighs with his hands. He brushes against your clit, your moan bouncing off the counter beneath you as you tighten your hold on his hair. You feel his laughter vibrate against you, pleasure burning your nerves as he flicks his tongue against your clit. You’re about to carefully push his face into you, your body yearning for his touch, but it was almost as if he could sense your pathetic desires as he plunges a finger into your hole and attaches his lips to the sensitive nub of nerves.
“Oh God,” You breathe out as he works his finger in sync with his mouth.
Your eyes are screwed shut, one of your hands gripping the edge of the counter so tightly that your knuckles were turning white. Nico groans as you tug on his hair,  but he doesn’t stop; he doesn’t even slow down. In fact, he thrusts another one of his fingers inside of you and begins curling them against your walls. The combination of his mouth and his fingers makes the knot in your stomach tighten to the point that it becomes overwhelmingly blissful.
Nico’s movements are unyielding as your cries fill the space around you, your orgasm ripping apart every single nerve in your body as your hand drops from his hair. He keeps his fingers moving inside of you as your juices coat the bottom half of his face. He lets out a satisfied hum against your sensitive core, sending another wave of shock through your body as he pulls his face away and his fingers out of you.
He watches the way your chest rises and falls as you pant, your neck arched backwards as you try to catch your breath and your walls clench around the absence of his fingers. He stands between your legs, the feeling of his bulge pressing against you as he leans towards you to grasp your chin between his fingers. The contact causes your eyes to snap open, meeting his gaze as he brings his fingers up to your mouth.
“Open up, pretty girl,” He instructs, quirking his brow as he taps your cheek..
You drop your jaw, allowing Nico to slide the digits onto your tongue before wrapping your lips around them. You swirl your tongue around his fingers, your gaze unrelenting from his own as you taste yourself. Nico can feel his cock throbbing in his pants, the tormenting urge to bury himself inside of you growing by the second.
“Good girl,” He praises as he removes his fingers from your mouth, “Think you’re ready for me?”
“Yes,” You eagerly nod.
Nico quickly yanks his pants down his legs, smirking to himself when he sees the black smudges on your thighs from the eye black on his face. The marks on your skin drove him crazier than he thought it would, but he didn’t give himself much time to think about it as he kicked his pants away and reached for the hem of your shirt. He pulls it over your head, letting you help him with his own before the both of you are completely bare.
“Du bist so schön,” Nico breaths out as his eyes drag across your body, drinking in every single centimeter of the skin as if it was the last time he’d see you. (You are so beautiful)
Your cheeks flush at the compliment you heard every single day, eyes darting away from him, but he didn’t let your stare stay away for long. He wraps his large hand around your neck and guides your focus back to him. The ink on his cheeks had faded a little, and with one fleeting glance to your thighs, you could see the remnants contrasting against your skin. It made the warmth in your stomach spread down to your already pulsing core.
“Ready, schatzi,” He tenderly asks, caressing the skin of your neck with his thumb.
You pull your bottom lip between your teeth as you nod, wiggling your hips towards him as he pumps himself in his hand. He guides himself towards your center, rubbing the tip of his cock between your folds as he teases your entrance. You wrap your leg around his hip trying to subtly pull him closer to you, but he’s stronger than you and he doesn’t budge.
“Be patient,” He chastises, pulling your face to his own by his cautious grip on your neck, “You’ve been a needy slut all night. Rubbing against me in front of my family and team? Looking at me like you wanted me to bend you over in front of everyone?”
“Couldn’t help it,” You whisper as his lips ghost over your own.
“Yeah, I bet you couldn’t,” He chuckled before he slowly pushes himself inside of you, his hand gently squeezing the sides of your throat.
A moan tumbles from your lips as you grasp at his back in an attempt to keep yourself steady, the feeling of Nico’s cock stretching your walls sending you into a dizzying haze. No matter how many times you had sex with him, he had to give you time to adjust to him before he can ruin you the way he really wants to. The sharp pain between your legs slowly dulls until it’s nothing but a pleasurable ache.
Nico knows your body like the back of his hand, and he doesn’t need you to tell him when you’re okay; he can feel it. He feels it in the way your entire body relaxes, in the way your walls pulse around him. He slowly thrusts into you, keeping the motion of his hips short and shallow as he gives you a little more time to get used to him, and to tease you. Your fingernails dig in his back as he moves into you at a painfully slow pace, your pleas filling his ears as you beg for more.
“God, you’re so desperate, aren’t you,” He groans as you clench around him, “Begging for my cock, yeah?”
“I thought you liked it when I beg,” You force out, your voice breaking off into a moan as he roughly snaps his hips against your own.
Nico slams into you, his grunts meshing with your loud moans as your nails scrape against the skin of his back. The pressure on your throat is just enough to make you dizzy, intensifying every single feeling that pumps through your veins. It made your orgasm build in your stomach all over again, this time its intensity was multiplied times ten and absolutely electrifying. Nico can feel the way your walls are fluttering around him as he drives into, and he knows it won’t take long to send you over the edge for the second time.
The sound of skin slapping skin echoed off the marble countertops, but it was almost smothered entirely by the noises falling from your lips as Nico drives himself into you. He watches the way your tits bounce with each passing push into you, and the way your face twists in pleasure as he hits deeper into you. His other hand was gripping the back of your thigh, digging into the flesh so hard that it was sure to leave bruises behind.
“Look at you,” Nico taunts, his voice strangled as he feels himself stutter against you, “Taking me like the needy slut you are. Moaning my name for our neighbors to hear, letting everyone know who makes you feel this good.”
You only manage a slew of whimpers and whines in response, your brain foggy with only the thought of you how good he feels inside you. Your eyes are rolling in the back of your head as the coil in your stomach unravels, your moans morphing into screams as you release your juices all over Nico’s cock. He doesn’t cease his movements as he feels you come undone around him, but he knows he’s not far behind you as he drops his forehead to your shoulder and his hand falls from your neck to slap against the counter.
Incoherent words are pouring out of your mouth as Nico fucks you through your orgasm, the euphoric feeling magnifying as he places open mouthed kisses to your neck. You can feel his hips falter and stutter against you, and he can feel you purposely clench around him, and that’s what sends him spiraling into his own orgasm as his groans reverberate on your skin.
“Nico,” You cry out as his name, using your grip on his back to pull him closer to you as he carefully sinks his teeth into the skin above your collarbone.
You can feel him release himself inside of you, the warm, sticky liquid coating the inside of your thighs as he slowly ceases his motions while still deep inside of you. The two of you pant in sync, trying to catch your breath while you move your hands up to tangle with the hair on the nape of his neck. Nico’s hands had found purchase on your hips as he slightly pulls away from you.
“You’ve got marks from it all over you,” He smirks, his eyes filtering from your neck and down to your thighs, “Guess we need to get those washed off in the shower, yeah?”
not a fan of the ending but i hope you liked it <3

THE START OF IT ALL — JACK HUGHES
part of the el!hughes au
summary: how jack and y/n (lovie) met, through the grace of quinn
warnings: bad parental guidance, small mention of body insecurities and anxiety. (4k words)
notes: a well overdue fic! i’m so thankful to you guys for being patient with me as i navigate writing in my hectic new reality of college and working full time! <3
Tumblr media
goosebumps trail my exposed skin, the chilling air of the practice rink nipping from my lack of sweater.
the sound of skates scraping against the ice rings in my ears, mingling with the bangs of sticks hitting against pucks and creating an oddly peaceful soundtrack for my meditation.
my feet are killing me.
capezio tights stretch across my legs, making them shimmer in the fluorescent lighting of the rink, and a black leotard hugs my body, neatly pulled together with a pink wrap skirt. ballet flats adorn my feet, my pointe shoes laying idly in my dance bag in the seat beside me as i watch the national development team practice.
it feels like so long ago that i came and watched my first practice; the one fateful day of september seeming light years away now. but in reality it was only a mere couple months ago that a group of us dance girls had decided to walk down the block and watch a practice.
Natalie and Thalia wanted to check out the guys, and me? i just didn’t want to be left out. but then watching one practice turned into watching two, and then three, and before i knew it, it became a regular occurrence. it didn’t matter anymore that the girls lost interest and no longer tagged along, in fact, i enjoyed the time spent alone.
this became my safe haven; no dance partners to critique my fouettés, no parents whispering in my ear that i’m not doing well enough in school or that i’m not practicing my dances enough or that i need to go on a diet because i don’t look as pristine or perfect in my leotard as the other girls do. just me and the sounds of several sixteen year old boys whipping pucks into the net and gliding around the ice.
as the piercing sound of a whistle slices through my peace, i know that afternoon practice has ended, my serene escape over until tomorrow.
as the team shuffles off the ice and back into their locker room, i revel in the silence for a little while, taking the moment to change from my flats to sneakers; the twenty-seven minute trek home will be a lot more terrain than the five minute one from the ballet studio to the rink, and a lot harder on my shoes.
pushing up from my seat, my hand wraps around the strap of my dance bag, slinging it over my shoulder as i slide through the rows of seats. my feet squeak against the cement steps, two at a time until i reach the exit floor.
pushing through the glass doors, i slip out into the crisp November air, ducking my head as i walk past a group of players that stand around their cars after practice, hair damp from post-practice showers. a few more players can be heard slamming the doors of their cars, obviously in much more of a rush to get home than their teammates.
it only takes five minutes of walking for me to become paranoid, a black GMC following behind me with every turn i make. my heart stutters with anxiety, my pace speeding as i attempt to shake the fear that rakes my body.
but as i speed up, so does the car, until finally the drivers window rolls down as they drive at a pace similar to my walking speed. inside is a teenage boy, a familiar face that i know i’ve seen on the ice of the usntdp rink.
“hey, you watch our practices.” it’s a statement, he knows i do, i assume a lot of them know. it’s kind of hard to miss the thirteen year old girl sitting alone in the stands every afternoon.
i stop, turning towards the boy as i nod in response.
“i always see you walking home, do you want a ride?” he asks before his eyes widen, stumbling over words, “wait, i just realized how that sounds— i’m not trying to kidnap you, i swear! you just live a few houses down, i figured i’d save you some time.”
i’m aware that my answer might be stupid and not very well thought out, but in this moment, i truthfully don’t care— the boy seems trustworthy, an odd sense of warmth radiating from him, so i nod again.
“yes, please.”
his head nods in the direction of the passengers side, unlocking the doors as he tells me to hop in; and i do so, slipping into the seat and hastily pulling the seatbelt across my body.
“i’m Quinn,” he introduces, a hand held out in front of me, “i play for the national development team.”
“i know,” i hum out, shaking his hand, “i’m y/n.”
Quinn steps lightly on the gas pedal, continuing the route to our apparently shared street.
“so, why do you come to the practices?” he questions, and though the question itself sounds a little judgy, his tone is soft, “at first i assumed maybe you were a sister, but then i’ve never seen you with any of the guys.”
i watch as the trees pass by in a blur through the window, my hands fidgeting with the strap of my dance bag that sits on the floor between my feet.
“it’s peaceful.” i confess, making him throw me a lopsided smirk mixed in with furrowed brows, “i don’t really get along with any of the girls in my ballet class, and my parents don’t get home from work until dinner time. its nice to just kill some time and listen to the sounds of the skates on the ice and the pucks hitting the net.”
Quinn hums as though he understands me, and for once, it actually feels like someone does. we’ve barely spoken to each other, we’ve only just met, but for once in my life, i feel as though someone isn’t judging me or about to tell me what i could do better.
“i get it.” he shrugs, “so, have you been a hockey fan, or are you just a little oddball and like the sounds?”
a small smile spreads across my lips, a laugh escaping at his joke, and Quinn garners an appearance of pride at making me laugh. his chest puffs out just slightly, his posture straightening and a smirk resting on his lips.
“i am,” i nod, before i realize i should clarify, “a hockey fan. i’m a hockey fan.”
it’s Quinn’s turn to chuckle now, eyes flickering towards me before they settle back on the road ahead, “but i get the feeling you are a little oddball, aren’t you? or at least maybe some other people think so.”
the vibe in the car turns stony, my body tensing.
“yeah,” i drop my eyes to my hands, finding great interest in the dirtied white color of my bag strap, “i prefer to keep to myself, you know? it feels like all everyone tells me is how i can do better. how i can perfect my dances, or how i’m so pretty but i would be so much prettier if i did this or that, or how despite straight A’s and a 4.0 GPA, there’s more i could do to get into a stupid ivy league that i don’t wanna go to-”
i suck in a deep breath, cutting off my rambles prematurely, because here i was dumping all my insecurities and problems on a boy three years my senior and who i’ve only just met.
“i’m sorry, those are some shitty people.” Quinn frowns, a hand tightening just slightly around the steering wheel.
“that was all my parents.”
“fuck,” he curses, glancing over at me quickly with wide eyes as we turn onto our street, “your parents said all that?”
i shrug, nodding my head, “it’s what a parent does, right? they criticize you to be the best you can be. the girls in dance aren’t much better.”
Quinn parks the car in front of what i assume is his billet house, turning in his seat to face me properly.
“a parent should guide you to be the best version of yourself, not criticize you until you become the person they want you to be.”
his words repeat in my head, my brows threading together as i hum in acknowledgment of his statement.
rather than truly respond, i unbuckle my seatbelt, pushing the door open as i gather my bag from the floor.
“thank you for the ride, Quinn. sorry for dumping all my problems on you.”
i don’t give him a chance to respond, hopping out of the car and slinging my bag over my shoulder as i shut the door.
i’m only one house away when i hear him yell, “hey! same time tomorrow?”
i spin around confused, finding him standing next to the car with his hockey bag slung over his own shoulder.
“what?”
“same time tomorrow! i’ll drive you home!” he smiles gently, before giving a small wave and heading into his house.
what the fuck just happened? did i just make a new friend?
***
my entire body aches, my toes in particular feeling incredibly sore due to the bruised skin that covers them, but i push through.
only a week until the spring performance and i still don’t feel that my solo is where it should be. my pointe shoes make my toes prick with pain, but over time, the pain turns into a stinging numbness.
my reflection stares back at me in the mirrored wall, a frustrated puff of air passing through my parted lips. my tutu caresses my arms as i let them fall to my sides, lowering back down to flat feet.
in the mostly empty building, i can hear the ring of the bell above the front entrance followed by muffled conversation approaching the private room i currently occupy.
i walk over to the chair that holds my things, my brows furrowing as i check the time. i still have five minutes until Quinn is due to pick me up. that gives me more than enough time to run through the solo once more.
walking over to the barre, i flex my feet a couple of times. but before i can begin to dance, i’m bombarded by the sound of conversation.
“what are we doing at a dance studio?” a male voice echoes through the building, grumbling in obvious annoyance.
“i told you, i have to pick up a friend.” i recognize that voice immediately; Quinn. my close friend of four months.
“a girlfriend?” i scrunch my nose at the other person’s question, part of me wanting to shout out that i can hear them.
“a girl that’s a friend, yeah. more like a little sister.” a heated blush rises to my cheeks, a smile spreading across my lips.
he thinks of me as a sister.
a knock sounds against the door of the private room before it creaks open, Quinn’s head popping in.
“hey, twinkle toes, you ready to go?” he smiles warmly, his eyes sparking with care as he eyes my outfit, “nice tutu.”
“you’ve seen this one before.” i giggle but it quickly dies off into a sigh as i think about how much work i still need to put into the dance, “give me one sec?”
“yeah, go for it.” he nods, “mind if i come in?”
“come on in.”
closing my eyes, i take a deep breath, tuning out the sounds of Quinn and his company entering the room. breathing out, i enter fifth position.
plié, passé relevé, back down to fifth position, my eyes open as i run through the rest of the dance, focusing on my core and watching myself in the mirror.
my sight flickers to Quinn, a smile on his face as he watches me dance, and for a moment i feel so proud of myself. but then my sights set on the boy beside him.
fluffy dirty blond hair mussed atop of his head, beauty marks dotting across his soft features, and beautiful blue eyes that watch my figure. he’s the prettiest boy i’ve ever seen.
i stutter in my steps, suddenly nervous and self conscious in front of the unfamiliar face, and before i can fix my form, i buckle under his stare; missing a step before my ankle twists, a sharp tinge of pain shooting up my leg as i stumble back down onto flat feet.
“shit.” i whimper, my facial features contorting in pain as i flex my ankle, gauging my pain level.
“are you okay?” Quinn stammers, eyes wide in concern, “what happened?”
“i’m fine,” i sigh. walking over to my bag, i pull my flats out and sit on the chair, beginning the process of taking off my pointe shoes, “i just got a little distracted.”
“distracted?” Quinn repeats, confusion plaguing his features before he looks back at his company, his lips quirking into a smirk, “y/n, this is my brother, Jack. Jack, this is y/n.”
my face heats under the heavy gaze of Jack’s blue eyes, his shoes tapping against the floor as he steps forward, extending a hand in front of me.
“hi.”
he smiles and it’s as though the whole world slowed, as though the universe was saying ‘look. look at him. perfection personified amidst your very eyes.’
“hi, it’s nice to meet you.” my hand slips into his, shaking lightly before i pull away, distracting myself by continuing my endeavors of changing my shoes.
Quinn and Jack share whispered huffs, mumbled words between the two of them as i slip my flats on, shoving my pointe shoes in my bag.
i stand now, removing my tutu and holding it carefully, leaving me in only my tights and leotard.
“i’m ready.” they both look over at me, Quinn nodding in acknowledgment before he turns and wordlessly begins walking out, leaving his brother and i to fall in line behind him.
“so how did you guys meet?” Jack asks me as we step out of the private room, his voice hushed.
“i go watch the development program practices a lot, Quinn saw me walking home and offered me a ride.”
“you like hockey?” he raises a brow as he looks over at me with a bright grin.
“mhm.” i hum, “i’ve watched it my whole life. my dad is a red wings fan.”
we exit the building, following Quinn to his car.
“good team.” Jack replies, his voice far off, eyes staring ahead as though deep in thought; and i assume that’s the end of our conversation until he speaks again, “i liked your dance. pretty.”
blood rushes to the apples of my cheeks and i bite my lip to hold back a smile, “thanks.”
i pull open the car door as Quinn unlocks it, climbing into the back seat so that Jack can sit up front with his brother. but i’m surprised when he joins me in the back, earning a look from Quinn.
it’s silent as Quinn starts the car, pulling out from the parking space and out of the lot.
“so,” Jack starts, gaining my attention once more, “you dance and you like hockey, what else should i know about you?”
i ponder the question for a moment before i look over at him, “there’s not much to tell. i’m an only child, i like taylor swift, i don’t know.”
“well what do you and your friends do for fun? do you wanna be a ballerina when you graduate?” he turns towards me, letting me know i have his full attention.
“i only have one friend.” i shrug, “Quinn. and he and i usually just hang out at his billet house or at the rink. he’s been teaching me to skate.
“as for the ballerina thing, i don’t think so. i love dancing, but i don’t want it to be my life.”
Jack hums, nodding his head in thought before his lips part again, “give me your phone.”
“what?”
“gimme your phone.” he makes a grabby hand, waiting for me to pull my phone out of my bag before i set it in his palm.
he turns it on, getting in easily with my lack of password, and quickly types something before handing it back.
“two.” he smirks.
“what?” my face punches in confusion.
“you have two friends now.” i look down at my phone, a new contact open with his number inputted in.
“okay.” i smile, not quite sure how to react to this gorgeous boy wanting to be my friend. it’s a new feeling that i’m not quite used to.
the car is silent as we pull onto Quinn and i’s street, but if i remember correctly, he’s staying at a hotel with his dad for the next couple of days.
“hey, twinkle toes.” Quinn calls out from the drivers seat.
“yeah?”
“you still coming to the game tomorrow?”
“i plan on it.” i tell him.
“alright, you’ll be sitting with my dad and Jack.” he informs me, “Jack, you good to wait for her at the entrance to take her to your guys’ seats?”
Quinn stops in front of my house, unlocking the doors.
“yeah, sure.” Jack confirms, watching as i exit the vehicle, “i’ll see you tomorrow.”
“see you tomorrow!” i smile. i shut the door, Quinn’s window rolling down as he calls out a goodbye, “bye, snuggles!”
i can hear Jack snort out a laugh as i walk away, a wheezed echo of “snuggles?!” coming from the back seat.
“shut it, Rowdy.” Quinn grumbles, rolling up his window before peeling away.
***
thirty minutes.
i spent thirty long minutes picking out my outfit for tonight. when i originally said i would go to Quinn’s game, i had just planned on wearing a USA Hockey sweatshirt and some leggings; but now that i’ve met Jack and know i’ll be with him? i refused to dress down so much.
descending the stairs of my house, my mother peers over the back of the couch, her hair in a tight bun and her laptop in her lap, slaving over a law case with files piled beside her.
“what are you so dressed up for?” she inquires, her glasses sitting low on the bridge of her nose.
“i have Quinn’s game tonight.” i walk around the couch to stand in front of her, my nikes shuffling along the area rug.
“i’m so proud of you.” she smiles, and for a moment i’m left to ponder where this could go, “you’re finally taking a care to how you present yourself.”
and there it is; the subtle jab. it can never be a real compliment, there’s always gonna be the underlying insult muddled in somewhere.
“are you going with friends?” she questions, her focus falling back on the open computer screen in her lap.
“kinda?” i’m not quite sure what to call Jack, he said we’re friends, but we also don’t actually know each other.
“kinda?” my mother echoes in wonder, looking back up at me as i wander into the kitchen to retrieve a water bottle.
“yeah. i met Quinn’s brother yesterday, the one a year older than me?” i start, “i’m sitting with him and their dad at the game. i don’t think i would call us friends really, but we exchanged numbers yesterday.”
my mother sighs, pushing her glasses atop of her head in order to pinch the bridge of her nose.
“does this boy play that brutal game too?”
my mind wanders back to what Quinn has told me about his family in the past, “yeah, they all do.”
“oh y/n, don’t get too wrapped up in these boys. they won’t do you any good.” she tells me, “find a nice boy, one who wants to do something substantial with his life.”
“we’re just friends, mom. it’s not like anything is gonna happen.”
“but you want it to.” she narrows her eyes, waving her finger towards me, “i can see it. mother’s intuition. don’t fall for this boy.”
who is she to tell me who i should fall for? she and dad barely even speak anymore. i wouldn’t even call what they have, love.
“it’s just going to a hockey game, mom. their dad is gonna be there too.” i sigh, “i gotta go.”
“how are you getting there?” she asks, “are they picking you up?”
“no,” i shake my head, “dad said he would drive me.”
her brows furrow, “your dad had to go into work.”
i gape at her, a blank look covering my face. i shouldn’t be shocked, this happens all the time. it’s the same reason i walk home from ballet, or why i’ve come to rely on Quinn to pick me up for school. but somehow, it still always feels like a cut to the heart.
my mother sighs, shutting her laptop and rising from her seat, “i’ll drive you. come on.”
“you would think he would try and spend more time with you. but it’s always work with that one. work then family.” she mutters, ranting to herself as she slips her shoes on, grabbing her keys from the dish on the entryway table.
i fall in line slowly behind her, dreading this car ride already; because it appears it’s one of those days. the days where my mother will do anything to appear better in my eyes than my father. including talking down about him to me in hopes to make me more upset with him than i already am.
and i was correct. the entire drive was spent with me sitting silently in the passengers seat, watching my surroundings pass by as she went on and on about all of the things my father has done wrong in the past week.
i couldn’t get out of the car quick enough, nearly breaking the car door off its hinges as i throw it open. calling out a goodbye to my mother and assuring her that yes, Quinn would be driving me home afterwards, i slam the door shut and jog towards the arena entrance.
slowing down upon the sight of the glass doors, my body lights up, butterflies flutter in my stomach as i spot Jack in the lobby just through the doors. he wears jeans and a gray hoodie, converse tied to his feet, and he looks down at his phone, glancing up every few moments.
when his eyes land on me through the clear glass, a friendly smile spreads across his lips, slipping his phone into his pocket and taking a few steps towards the door, propping it open for me.
“hey!” he chimes as i reach the entrance, “puck should drop soon! i was gonna text you to check in but, i didn’t wanna push anything.”
my heart rate picks up, my cheeks burning at the idea of seeing Jack’s name pop up on my phone, “you can text me any time.”
Jack’s smile drops into a smirk, his blue eyes sparkling with mischief and amusement, “i’ll keep that in mind.”
“our seats are this way.” Jack begins pushing through the lingering people in our way, many not paying any attention to the people in their way as they try and navigate towards their own seats.
for a second, i’m pushed away from him, worry flooding my mind as i think of how i’ll try and find our seats if i lose him. but then he looks back at me, his eyes finding mine, and he must see the anxiety that fills my body, because it’s not a moment later that his hand finds mine.
his hand slips into mine, interlacing our fingers as he gently tugs me closer to him as he walks, a reassuring quirk to his lips, “i got you. it’s okay.”
and somehow, all my worry melts away, just like that. for some reason, i feel like he’s telling the truth; it’ll be okay.
there’s something about Jack’s presence that calms my nerves. that makes me feel okay. and it sounds utterly insane because i’ve known him for all of twenty-four hours, but i feel like i can truly trust him.
as we reach our seats, Jack sitting next to his dad with me beside him, he still never lets go of me. instead, he rests our hands on his thigh, glancing over at me to gauge my reaction before he speaks.
“you okay?”
and finally, for once, i’m telling the truth, “yeah.”

The Dos & Don'ts of Fake Dating | E.M. x reader | pt. 5
[chap four] | [all chapters here] | [chap six]
summary: You propose a crazy idea to the resident freak of Hawkins, Eddie Munson. But maybe he was even crazier for agreeing to it…
notes & tropes: fem reader, slow burn, faking dating, opposites attract, bratty rich bitch reader, super minor revenge plot, not-quite-enemies-to-lovers
a/n: I'm very excited for this chapter because it's actually one of the scenes that inspired this whole fic! Before I knew what the hell I even wanted to write, I played this idea of a figure skating character over and over again in my head as I built up the story around it. I'm a little behind on writing the next chap, so it may be a slightly longer wait between this and the next one! Hope you all love it!

Chapter Five
You skated at least four times a week. You’ve done so since you were ten years old, when you decided that you wanted to take figure skating more seriously. Whether or not you had competitions, whether or not you were in the mood for it, you always stuck with your skating routine. With competition season coming up in November, you knew you’d have to start practicing more, putting in longer hours and more days in preparation.
Or maybe not. After all, competing was something that your mom enjoyed, that she encouraged wholeheartedly. Regardless of how much you enjoyed it, it didn’t exactly fit the teenage rebellion thing you had going on right now. Maybe you wouldn’t go to competition this year, maybe you’d skip out on your final season out of pure spite - now that would be cruel. Although a part of you hurt at that idea - because you really did love skating - you reasoned that it was something you had to consider.
Fridays were always very long days for you. While your peers would be set free to roam following the 3pm school bell, you had more obligations for the day. Once you left school, you crammed in as much homework as you could before hitting the ice rink by 4:30 at the latest to get your own practice in. Once that was done, you led a youth skating practice until 7pm, then you tried to squeeze in some more skating time before the hockey team took to the ice at 7:15. After arriving home at 8 o’clock or later, you crammed more homework so you wouldn’t have to deal with it over the weekend, and then by that point you’d be too worn out for anything else, so you generally slept late into the next morning.
This had been your routine for over a year now, ever since your own couch suggested that you needed to get more extracurriculars under your belt for your college applications. She had insisted that your resume would look far more impressive if you showed that you had teaching experience and “leadership potential,” an idea that really appealed to your parents, who were determined for you to get into a good school, maybe even on a figure skating scholarship. So, you ended up taking over the Friday night children’s lessons whether you wanted to or not.
You honestly despised it. You led children age 5 to 7, and they were a constant pain in the ass. You couldn’t raise your voice without one of them crying, you couldn’t leave them to their own devices without someone inevitably ending up hurt. Yet, you stuck with it because you were told to, because the adults around you insisted that you needed to. You couldn’t stand the way your coach would insist that this would help develop your skills, you couldn’t stand how your mother insisted “you’ll look back on this so fondly when you’re older.” These damned kids skating lessons were something else you’d probably drop soon, because you barely tolerated them as is.
While everyone else was at the football game, while Eddie was probably off playing his stupid fantasy game or doing something equally as nerdy, you were here at the ice rink, shouting instructions at children while parents and hockey players watched. Some of the parents had made it clear before that they weren’t fond of your impatient and mean teaching methods, but your coach always seemed to talk them out of pulling their kids from your group. She always argued something about you being the best skating in the county, but you weren’t sure how true that was - sure, you had your fair share of medals, but even with your ego you were pretty sure there were better skaters at your level.
“Come on, slackers, we’ve got five minutes left!” You taunted your group of 11 kids as they skated around the perimeter of the rink as a cool down. You zipped ahead of them, leading the charge as you skated backwards to keep an eye on them.
Many of the older kids had grown used to your abrasive coaching, but you could see that many of the newbies were still frightened of you, your loud voice, and your cold eyes. As a means of excusing your poor teaching style, you always said that skating was a tough sport and they needed to toughen up if they wanted to be any good at it. For how pretty and elegant figure skating could be, you knew from experience that competitive skating could be harsh, so you figured you were helping these kids prepare for it.
Because the Hawkins High hockey team had the rink after your group every Friday, many of them were already sitting on the sidelines, getting their gear ready or watching you work. The cocky part of you enjoyed the attention, but hockey players were stupid, so you rarely gave any of them a chance whenever they tried talking to you. Nonetheless, when you were in a good mood, you enjoyed putting on a bit of a show for them, shooting flirty glances their way or occasionally calling out remarks to them between instructing the kids. Tonight, you were paying them little mind, but that didn’t stop you from looking their way every now and again.
As you led the kids back to the center of the ice to wrap up the lesson, a lot of their parents were also waiting in the bleachers or out in the lobby. While you skated back and forth in front of your little army of children, going over some instructions for their next practice with your coach on Monday, your eyes roamed the bleachers. You gave a wicked grin to the hockey players that watched you, meanwhile you took in the parents with very little regards. It was as you looked over the clusters of parents that you saw a familiar face sitting at the penalty bench, and unintentionally you let your toe pick drag on the ice, which very nearly caused you to trip.
God damn Eddie Munson.
As you glared in his direction, hoping your momentary lack of balance didn’t make you look too stupid, you dismissed the kids before gliding towards the dasher board. Eddie, grinning like an asshole, stood up to meet you as children began to exit the ice. You braced yourself on the rail of the board, eyes narrowed at Eddie who appeared far too amused for your liking.
“What are you doing here?” You ask in lieu of a greeting. Eddie briefly glances over at the kids leaving the ice.
“You’re incredible with children.” He mocked, smiling far too wide for your liking; you narrowed your eyes while wondering just how long he’d been here, “Figured I might find you here.”
“That doesn’t explain why you’re here, though.” You respond coldly, gaze briefly looking in the direction of the hockey team to find a couple of them watching your interaction.
“You did say we needed to make plans, figure out how this was going to work,” Eddie started, taking in your red cheeks and slightly damp forehead that developed over the course of your skating lessons.
“I also said we’d talk about it next week.” You glowered a little, not worried if any of the hockey players saw it - maybe they’d simply mistake it for a lovers quarrel. Eddie grinned, holding his arms up as if he were a presenter on some dumb show.
“No time like the present, right?” Your unamused face gave him all the answer he needed, and his expression fell a little in annoyance, “And here I hoped I was being a good fake boyfriend by visiting you at the rink.”
“You’re being too good a fake boyfriend,” You jab.
Now that all the kids were off the ice, you slid towards the open gate; Eddie kept pace with you on the other side of the dasher board, meeting you at the gate and offering you his hand in assistance. You looked between his face and his outstretched hand with a glare, but eventually accepted his help, stepping over the barrier and onto the slightly cushy floor on the other side.
“I told you not tonight because I’m busy.” You walk over to the gym bag you left sitting on the nearest bleachers. As you sat beside it, Eddie shrugged with a carelessness that seemed almost false.
“Then I’ll go.” He answered simply as you removed your skates, “Just thought it might not be a bad idea to get to know you a little better. It’s not gonna be easy to fake date someone who you know nothing about.”
You shot him a harsh look while putting skate guards over your blades. You didn’t want to admit that he was right, but he had a good point, especially since you had already discussed it before. You sighed heavily through your nose, your cold eyes locked on Eddie’s.
“Can’t it wait? I’ve had a long day.”
Eddie studied you for a moment, leaning back against the dasher board before looking around the ice rink. You quickly put some worn sneakers on your feet and stood, picking your bag and turning away with the intention to leave. But Eddie’s gentle grip on your wrist stopped you from going anywhere, causing you to look between his hand and his face. As you two held eye contact, you realized that Eddie could be just as stubborn as you when he wanted; damn, was this going to be difficult.
“Let me buy you dinner - I’m sure you’re starving,” Eddie started, and for a fleeting moment you wondered if he thought your attitude was because you were hangry. You chewed your lower lip, eyes staring critically at Eddie for another few moments before you let out a defeated sigh, allowing your shoulders to relax a little. Considering that it had been nearly eight hours since your lunch break, it might now be a bad idea to eat something.
Eddie’s eyes softened at your silent resignation, the corner of his mouth pulling up. He finally released your wrist, nodding his head in the direction of the lobby, “Come on, you pick.”
﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌
Your pick ended up being a 24-hour diner downtown. Eddie showed clear confusion when you mentioned it, so you explained that - for whatever reason - the diner had become something of a tradition, where students congregated post-Friday night football into the wee hours of the night. You’d joined that crowd a number of times in the past, but had no more interest in it - what you were interested in was having people see you and Eddie out together.
You knew it would still be at least an hour before the football crowd arrived, but that wasn’t such a bad thing - it gave you and Eddie a bit of time to actually become acquainted, to learn more about each other beyond “ice princess” and “the freak.”
You studied Eddie while sipping on a chocolate shake, waiting for your food to arrive. He stared back at you unabashedly, and you figured you could be locked into this staring contest until the end of time given how stubborn you both could be. As if Eddie knew what you were thinking, he smirked, finally caving as he looked away from you.
“Not to sound cliche,” Eddie scratched the back of his neck, almost as if he were nervous, but you assumed that couldn’t be true, “but… tell me about yourself?”
You smiled at how dumb the question was - that was so cliche. It was as good a starting place as any you figured, but that didn’t make it sound any less silly and forced. You leaned back in your seat, still holding tight to your milkshake as if it were a lifeline.
Putting on your best Miss America voice, you replied, “Well, I’m freshly 18 from Hawkins, Indiana. I love long walks on the beach, snuggling up with a good book, and I hope one day we’ll have world peace.”
Eddie narrowed his eyes at you, although you could tell he was fighting back a grin, “You’re making this very challenging considering that it was your idea.”
You shrug, taking a big gulp of the chocolate shake, “I guess I’m just a challenging person.”
“You guess?” Eddie laughed mockingly at that, “You’re the most challenging I’ve met. So, how about you try relaxing a little or else no one’s going to buy that we’re together.”
You made a face at the near-insult, finally putting down your drink. You leaned your elbows on the table, taking in Eddie’s face for a moment, stubbornly resisting the urge to say anything. Again, he had a good point, not that you wanted to tell him that. Eddie appeared to have an idea as he mirrored your pose.
“Okay, we’ll go back and forth, a question for a question; how’s that?” You nodded, “Right. First question: Why me?”
Your brows furrowed a little in thought, pinning down a good answer while trying to recall what you’ve already told him, “Haven’t I already explained that?”
“Kind of.” Eddie rolled his hand in a motion that basically said “but go on.”
You bit the inside of your cheek for a moment while thinking, “Your reputation. People don’t know you, but your reputation is in the absolute gutter. No better person to turn to than the guy who everyone in the school already hates.”
Eddie nodded in acceptance of the answer, “Okay, your turn.”
You grinned a little, a question already on your lips, “Why’d you agree to it?”
It was something you’d speculated briefly throughout the week, as you thought that your trade offer might not have been a compelling enough reason for Eddie to agree to this stupid plan. And now you could finally get the answer you were looking for.
Eddie silently stared at you in consideration, and again it almost felt like he was able to read your thoughts somehow. Finally, he answered, “Curiosity.”
You raised a brow in question, to which he once more scratched the back of his neck - maybe that actually was a nervous habit, so you took note of it.
“We both know this idea is kinda crazy,” Eddie started, mulling over his thoughts before continuing, “But I wanted to see how it plays out. See if we can actually trick people into believing it. And I wanted to see if you were as awful as I thought you were.”
You balked instantly, an amused huff escaping your mouth, “‘Awful?’ Jesus, you keep acting like I’m the devil or something.”
Eddie made a face while shrugging, not disagreeing with you, “You thought the same about me. So, let’s call it square.”
Food was finally brought to your table, and you had to resist the urge to attack the greasy burger set in front of you; you didn’t need Eddie to see you act like a ravenous gremlin over some food, even if it had been over eight hours since you’d eaten anything. But you nonetheless dug in, albeit with far more control than your empty, growling stomach would have liked.
“Your turn.” You say around a bite of food, causing Eddie to smile in amusement and the unladylike action.
“Hmm…” He leaned forward, scrutinizing you as he contemplated his next question. Self consciously, you wiped at the corner of your mouth just to make sure there wasn’t any stray ketchup or grease sitting there, “Why ice skating?”
“Because it’s better than cheerleading.” You smiled at your own joke before giving a slightly better answer, “I always thought it was pretty. Nothing else to it, unfortunately; no deep story and significance to it.”
“Fine.” Eddie responded almost as if he was disappointed by the mundane answer.
“Why Dungeons and Dragons?”
“Your questions can’t keep being off-shoots of mine.” Eddie laughed a little, and despite yourself it caused you to smile smally as well.
“Says who?”
“Says me,” He responded while pointing at himself, “I get to come up with some of the rules now, remember?”
“Whatever.” You rolled your eyes with a degree of fondness, which you immediately found strange, so you tried to wipe the look from your face. Nope, you weren’t fond of Eddie Munson, not at all.
You went back to your food, hoping Eddie didn’t catch the amused look on your face. You spoke around another bite of food, “Do you have siblings?”
“None that I know of.” He replied around his own mouthful of food, “But I wouldn’t exactly be surprised if there were any out there.”
You cocked your head a little at the response; it wasn’t so much shocking or sad, rather it was unexpected and different from your own life. You made a mental note to learn more about Eddie’s family, if not tonight then at a later point.
“What’s your plan after graduation?”
You opened your mouth to answer, but then paused - what was your plan now that you were trying to make your own decisions? You hadn’t even considered it. Did you still want to go to college? Where? Studying what? You suddenly realized that you had no true plan for yourself, only the one outlined by your parents, and that realization made you nervous.
“Honest answer: not a fucking clue.” Eddie looked taken aback by the response, so you continued, “My plan before was getting into a good school on a skating scholarship, and studying something completely irrelevant. My parents expect my skating to carry me through life until some good, rich man sweeps me off my feet.”
“But that’s not your plan anymore?”
“That’s another question.” You give him a teasing grin, causing Eddie to roll his eyes, “First, answer me this: If you weren’t stuck in Hawkins, where would you go?”
Eddie grinned with an unexpected eagerness, “LA. The music scene there is insane, and I’d happily sleep on the streets if it meant I had a shot at making my own music.”
Your eyes softened ever so slightly at the unexpected, genuine response - admittedly, you didn’t peg Eddie as the type to have any real goals. But music? That was interesting to you since you weren’t even aware that he played any instruments. You wondered if he was actually any good at it, or if it was some foolish aspiration.
“Now, what’s your plan?” Eddie repeated, smirking at the look on your face - this was one of the few times you didn’t look like a total bitch, so he appreciated it. In fact, you looked relaxed and, dare he say, content; that was certainly unexpected from you.
When you shrugged, he shook his head, leaning forward again, “No, you come up with a plan right now. Don’t base it off what your parents want or what you think sounds like the right answer. What do you want to do with your life once we’re done with this shit hole?”
You contemplated, a mild concern washing over you as you stared at Eddie - what the hell did you want? And why did you suddenly feel so vulnerable because of the question. You had to rip your gaze away from Eddie’s, hardening your expression as you tried to think up an answer that felt right.
“I… I like art, I love clothes,” You started dumbly, glancing at Eddie through your lashes, expecting him to make a face at the lame answer, “I don’t know shit about them in a technical way, but it might be fun for college. Take painting or sewing classes during the day, skate until my feet hurt at night, maybe… I want to be somewhere big and interesting. New York, LA… fuck, even Florida for all I care, I just want out of Hawkins, out of this town.”
“Then I guess we’ll be those high school sweethearts that run off to LA together after graduation, huh?” Eddie smiled widely, and you allowed an amused look to cross your face.
“Oh, I’m sure.” You returned to your food as you tried to come up with a good question for Eddie. An intriguing one came to you, so you asked before you could second guess it, “How do you expect your fake girlfriend to act?”
Eddie’s brow furrowed; it didn’t appear to be due to him misunderstanding the question, but rather that it was unexpected; he even looked maybe hesitant to answer it. Again, he scratched his neck.
You lean forward a little, looking at him seriously, “Give me a good answer, okay? We’re just gonna keep going in circles otherwise.”
Eddie shrugged, “Maybe I don’t have any expectations.”
“Then come up with some.” You immediately counter, prodding the same way he had about your plans for the future. Eddie stared at you with scrutiny while chewing the inside of his lip, as if he didn’t want to come up with a response to the question. You waited, making a mock sweet face at him while you chowed down on your fries. You were going to demand an answer until he gave you one.
“Well, going off the rules you already established,” He made a bit of a face as if to mock the oh-so-sacred fake dating rules, “Aside from playing nice in front of others, it might be helpful if you were less stubborn; you’re like a damn bull.”
You gave him a joshing smile right back, “Fair. Is that it?”
Eddie quickly shook his finger; now it was just a back-and-forth game of you mocking one another, “Ah, that’s another question.”
“Oh, fuck off.” You rolled your eyes with a short laugh, “That is not another question.”
Eddie gave a fake look of apology, shrugging again, “Unfortunately, it is.”
You threw a french fry at him, which lamely hit his chest then landed in his lap. As he laughed and picked it up, you found yourself smiling fondly again, and you quickly tried to shake off the expression.
At that moment, the bell above the front door chimed, and immediately the diner was filled with rambunctious conversation. Your heart jumped a little, realizing the time, and you briefly glanced in the direction of the door; the group that had entered wasn’t your friends, although you recognized them. You turned your attention back to Eddie, who gave you another grin.
“Showtime.” He stated simply, and then a thought appeared to cross his mind, “You want another expectation? Tell me if anything I do is too much, but otherwise let me do what I do - you don’t need to be in control all the time.”
“Don’t I, though?” You countered haughtily, which was met by a flash of seriousness across Eddie’s eyes.
“No, you don’t. I know what I’m doing, okay?”
You studied him for a moment, not entirely convinced that he did, in fact, know what he was doing. Considering that you’d never seen him even interact with a girl before, you weren’t sure if he knew the first thing about dating or romance. But despite your doubts, you relented, relaxing your shoulders as if to show you were relinquishing some control.
“Fine,” You rolled your eyes nonetheless, forever obstinate as you mocked, “I’ll tell you if I don’t like something, but otherwise I’ll let you do what you do.”
“Was that so hard?” Eddie replied with a condescending smirk. You sneered before relaxing your face, knowing your friends were bound to appear any minute now.
As you stole another glance at the door, you suddenly felt Eddie’s fingers graze the back of your hand, drawing your attention back to him with a confused little knot between your brows. He held your gaze as if to make a point, as if to remind you of the conversation you just had, that he knew what he was doing. His hand simply sat on top of yours, your fingers ever so slightly lacing together - he raised his brows as if to dare you to pull away from him. You had to resist the urge to narrow your eyes at him and snatch your hand away, and in turn Eddie gave you a cocky grin before continuing to eat with his free hand.
Eventually, your friends appeared, although they didn’t notice you at first. They were all so full of energy as they excitedly spoke to each other, descending upon a few tables in the middle of the diner and pushing them together. The staff were used to it, although you knew from experience that they nonetheless hated it; you guys were always disruptive to the other patrons, and you figured that was never going to change.
You tried your best not to stare, but your eyes kept trailing over, kept studying the excited faces of the people you considered friends only a couple of weeks ago. After your eyes had drifted over for the umpteenth time, you felt Eddie lightly squeeze your fingers, causing you to unintentionally sneer at how strange it was to maintain this physical contact with him.
“Stop staring,” He instructed when you looked back at him.
With a quarrelsome look in your eyes, you did as Eddie told you, returning your attention to the half eaten burger on your plate, “Talk to me about something, then.”
“Like what?”
“I don’t care, just talk so I can pretend to be interested.”
Eddie looked mildly put off by that, and you realized that you’d taken your customary mean tone with him. You couldn’t seem to help yourself with your former cohorts nearby, it was as if their energy was rubbing off on you.
“You know what I’m going to talk about,” Eddie taunted with a wide grin.
Your face fell in realization, “Please not Dungeons and Dragons.”
“I’m gonna do it.”
“I wish you wouldn’t.”
“So, there’s this character, Kas, who has really interesting lore--”
You threw another fry at Eddie, and at that same moment, you felt someone come up alongside your table. You both look up to see Amelia there with a critical look on her face; your gaze drifts past her, noticing that a few people from her table were also looking at you and Eddie.
You met Amelia’s eyes again, giving her a wide, false smile, “Small world.”
Her eyes narrowed as she crossed her arms, “Yeah, I’m sure you just completely forgot we always come here after games.”
“Maybe she just wanted to see her dear friends.” Eddie chimed in mockingly, once again surprising you with his willingness to instigate confrontation. You laughed as a dumbfounded look crossed Amelia’s at his remark.
“I don’t know what the hell she sees in you.” Amelia snarked with a glare before turning her gaze back to you, “And I don’t know what the hell is going on with you, but it’s already getting pretty old.”
You shrug with exaggerated nonchalance, “Sometimes a girl just needs a bit of a change every now and then, you know?”
Amelia didn’t look convinced as she rolled her eyes with a dramatic sigh, “Yeah, well, this ‘change’ doesn’t suit you at all.”
Before you could respond with another quip, Amelia spun on her heel and briskly returned to her table. By that point, everyone there was watching and awaiting Amelia’s return, quickly huddling together to whisper conspiratorially once she sat down.
You and Eddie shared an amused glance; he went back to poking at his food as your gaze trailed back to Amelia and company. You happened to lock eyes with Duncan, who stared at you with harsh scrutiny, as if he wasn’t buying this thing between you and Eddie in the slightest. You gave Duncan a mocking while, starting to wave before flipping him off, causing Eddie to snort and choke on his food. You couldn’t help but laugh out loud as he hit his chest a couple of times, trying to clear his throat. The sound of such a genuine laugh escaping you was absolutely foreign to Eddie, but he decided it was a sound he enjoyed, even if it was at his expense; he made a mental note that he had to find ways to make you laugh more that didn’t involve him choking.
“You could’ve killed me.” Eddie croaked before laughing himself, his smile wide.
“You’re fine.” You teased, squeezing his fingers while giving him a false pout of sympathy, “You big baby.”
Eddie rolled his eyes in amusement, digging his wallet out while finally relinquishing the grip he had on your hand, “Come on, let’s get out of here.”
He tossed money onto the table and stood, offering his hand to you again. You quickly snagged one last fry before accepting Eddie’s hand, allowing him to pull you to your feet. He once again laced his fingers with yours as he led you through the crowded diner, and you had to fight back the desire to cringe in confusion at it. The both of you eyed the crowd of Hawkins High’s elite as they watched you back critically.
Once outside the diner, Eddie paused in front of one of the large windows and pulled a ridiculous face at the kids still watching you; he quickly tugged your arm, leading you back towards the van as you laughed again at his antics.

It was a horrifying sight, to watch as your boyfriend gets slammed into the ice, only to be taken off the ice on a stretcher. And that’s exactly what Stella had to go through, feeling completely useless and scared as she stood up from her seat, tears were already rolling down her cheeks as her friends tried to reassure her that he's going to be fine. Stella couldn't focus on her friend's words, or the loud screams and shouts coming from all around the rink, all she could focus on was getting to rutger as soon as she could.
Stella was silent during the car ride to the hospital besides the small sniffles she let out, she couldn't stop crying since they left the rink. Stella was quick to respond to all the texts from Rutgers mom, letting the worried mother know that she was already on the way to the hospital and that she would keep them updated until they could make it to the hospital themselves.
When Lily pulled into the hospital, the trio rushed into the hospital looking for the room rutger was in. Lily led the way, a panicked Stella being guided by Carmen who was holding her hand, doing her best to reassure her best friend. The image of rutger slamming into the ground, the look of pain on his face and him being on the stretcher kept on flashing through her mind. She would never get that image out of her head.
After asking a receptionist for directions and a quiet elevator ride, the trio of girls stood in front of Rutgers room. Carmen brought up to Stella that she and Lily would go find a vending machine and get some snacks, so the couple would be alone for a little bit. “It's going to be okay Stella, we'll text you when we're on our way back” Carmen smiled at Stella, squeezing her arm reassuringly before her and Lily walked down the hallway to find the vending machine.
Stella turned to face the door, her eyes looking at the plaque that had the number of the room on it. 204. Stella let out a nervous and deep breath before she softly knocked on the door to alert that she was coming in. Stella slowly opened the door and peeked her head into the room, her eyes immediately being drawn to the bed in the middle of the room. Rutgers eyes are lifted from his phone where he was trying to text Stella with one hand and to the door, when he hears the knock and the door open.
“Whoa whoa don't move so fast I ⸺ ” Stella quickly spoke as she rushed to rutgers side, one of her hands moving to his bare shoulder while the other was on his chest, softly stopping him from fully sitting up in the hospital bed. As soon as rutger had seen his girlfriend he had quickly moved to sit up to move closer to her, a look of pain decorating his face at the fast movement. Stella spoke softly, her tone showing just how scared she was for him as she continued speaking, tears brimming in her eyes at the sight of rutger “I’ll come to you.”
Rutger moved his arm that didn't have the iv in, up and rested his hand on top of the one Stella had on his chest, softly grasping it in his hand and bringing it up to his face; leaning his face into the soft skin of Stella's palm as he slowly leaned back in the bed. Letting himself relax now that she was here. Stella looks away from rutger when she hears the sound of someone clearing their throat and it was then when she realized they were not alone. “I’ll give you guys some privacy, I'm gonna go call coach ⸺ Tell him the news” Brain, the head trainer for the hockey team tells the couple, giving them a small smile before leaving the room.
Stella looks back at Rutger when she hears the soft click of the door closing, and she drops her bag into the chair that was by his bed and moved even closer to him, a few tears slipping out of her eyes and rolling down her cheeks as she really takes in the sight of her boyfriend in the hospital bed. Rutger looks up at his girlfriend and his heart clenches in sadness when he sees the tears “I’m okay pretty girl, please don't cry” rutger mumbled as he used the hand, he was holding to pull her closer, letting her sit on the edge of the bed.
“I was so scared rut, seeing you down on the ice . . . seeing you get pulled off on that stretcher” Stella sniffed as she shook her head, trying to shake the image out of her mind. She has seen her brothers and her friends getting hit and injured during a game, but this time it was different. The fear she felt was different . . . she never wanted to feel it again.
“Hey ⸺ Hey, feel” Rutger quickly cut stella off, he could see the wheels spinning in her head, she was starting to panic the more she thought of it. Rutger moved her soft and cold hand from his face to his bare chest and rested it over his heart, letting her feel the rhythmic beat of his heart. “See it's still beating, I’m okay stella” he whispered reassuringly, his eyes not leaving hers.
Stella nods and brings her free hand to wipe off her tears and the small trace of mascara on her cheeks, she tries to give him a smile but rutger can see right through it and her quivering lip didn't help hide her true feelings. “C’mere pretty girl it's okay” rutger whispered as he gently pulled her down to lay on his chest. Stella closed her eyes and let herself relax against her boyfriend, the rhythmic sound of Rutgers' heartbeat soothing Stella and helping her calm down.
Rutger used his free hand to softly play with Stella's hair, knowing that it would help calm her down. He hated seeing stella so upset but it also felt a little nice seeing how much she cared for him ⸺ such a weird feeling he didn't know how to explain. The couple stayed like that in silence for a few minutes, just taking in the feeling of being in each other's arms again. But when Stella felt that familiar uncomfortableness in her back from leaning down for so long in an awkward position, she knew she had to sit up.
Stella sat up and softly pulled her hand out of Rutgers gentle grip, she brought both of her hands up to her face and wiped away any tears and mascara off her face. She let out a heavy sigh and looked up from the hospital floor, giving rutger an embarrassed smile  . . . she hated crying in front of people ⸺ which does not work in her favor since she's quite the crybaby.
“m’sorry” stella whispered with her adorable bashful smile, her fingers were nervously fidgeting in her lap. Now that she had calmed down the self-doubt came creeping in, and now she was starting to worry that she had overreacted. Rutger shakes his head softly with his own smile, reaching his hand up to softly take Stella's eyelash off her cheek. He held it out in front of her and whispered back “Make a wish.”
Stella couldn't stop the loud giggle to escape past her lips when she heard rutgers words, she opens her mouth to tell him how silly that is but closes it when she sees the sweet but serious look in his eyes. Stella let out a soft hum and leaned closer to his hand, closing her eyes and softly blowing the eyelash as she made her wish. I wish that rutger will never get hurt again. Stella is pulled out of her sweet wish by the sound of the door loudly opening, causing her to flinch away from her boyfriend at the intrusion.
“Oh, we totally interrupted something” Lily muttered to Carmen as she nudged her with her elbow, noticing the flushed cheeks of the couple. Lily had to stop herself from giggling at the small glare rutger sends her for running there moment. Carmen's eyes widen and she gives the couple a bashful smile as she holds up her arms that were filled with many kit-kat bars, her sweet voice breaking the silence “We got your favorite rutger!”

A Warm Embrace - LS2 x Fem!Reader
"Do you trust me?" You asked as your boyfriend's grip tightened on your arms.
"Of course. I just don't trust myself."
You repositioned his hands so they were on your shoulders, your hands holding onto his waist as you slowly began to move you both further away from the barrier at the outside of the ice skating rink. Logan's grip on you was definitely going to leave some soreness over the next couple of days, but you didn't mind. You couldn't think of anyone better to be ice skating with currently. You felt his gaze focus on you, as you had recommended to stop him worrying, knowing how he calmed when he was in your presence.
Looking around the rink, you caught the eyes of Lily, who was very happy with Alex's progress on the ice. He was doing well, having only fell over a handful of times and was currently looking really stable. And as you thought that, he went again. Spoke too soon, you thought.
Your eyes met the soft ones of the person you had so desperately fallen for as you slowly pulled him around the track. He smiled, looking at the way your face got slightly redder the longer he looked at you. It was like, in that moment, he had forgotten all about the ice that you were on. He trusted you. He felt safe. All that mattered in that moment was your touch, your hair, your eyes. All that mattered was you.
"I am so in love with you." His voice was quiet as he spoke.
"I love you too, Logan." You meant it. Of course you did, how couldn't you? He was a sweetheart. He would go straight to you whenever he finished a race. He would wake you up when he stayed over yours by placing soft kisses all over your face. He would risk being a little late to spend those extra few minutes cuddling in bed with you. He would tie your shoes, not because you didn't know how, but because it saved you doing it before you headed out for a long day at work. He would slice your apples for you, peel your oranges if you asked him to.
You would do things for him too. When he got sick the month earlier, you called his mother and video called her whilst she step-by-step taught you how to make his favourite childhood soup, just so he could feel at home. You would play with his hair when he couldn't sleep to calm him. You would wake up at 4am some days to make sure he had breakfast before training even if that meant being exhausted by the end of your shift once you finished, which could be as late as 10pm.
Logan was getting better at this, the pair of you gradually speeding up as you went around the rink. His focus was on you. You began to slightly loosen your grip, seeing if he was able to stand on his own on the ice now. He was. You took his hand, pulling him slowly with you, ready to reach out and grab him if he almost fell over. But he didn't. The two of you talked and laughed as he got more confident on the ice, only ending up slipping up once by the end of it.
After getting off the ice, the four of you sat at a nearby restaurant, outside, to have food. It was delicious. You twisted the pasta up on your fork before passing it to Logan as he had asked to taste it. He then did the same for you.
"Today has been so fun," Alex said, smiling as he ate. "We definitely need to do this again."
You agreed. It was perfect.
Tumblr media
You felt arms snake around your waist as you brushed your teeth, ready for bed. Your boyfriend kissed your forehead, gently swaying the pair of you as he left kisses all over you. Your forehead, your shoulder, your cheek, your neck, everywhere. He whispered sweet things into your ear about how you're his favourite person. You're his everything. He wants to spend his life with you.
All day he had seemed nervous, you didn't know why but you figured it was because of your venture onto the ice. "Can I ask you something?"
You nodded, "Of course, anything."
"Do you want to move in with me?" You span in his embrace, looking into his eyes for any sign of that being a joke. It wasn't. He continued to speak. "I was just thinking, you spend a hell of a lot of time here anyways and we've been together for a year now and waking up in bed with you is one of my favourite things. Obviously if you don't want to, you don't have to. I was just-" he went silent the second your lips met his.
You pulled away, feeling a shiver run down your spine from the low temperature in his bathroom. "Of course I will, I would love to."
His hands traced your spine through your shirt as his hands travelled to your waist, placing a kiss to your lips before wrapping you into a warm embrace. His warm embrace.

-The End-

wc: 4.1k

a/n: requested by anonie! thank you anonie for sending this through <3 I enjoyed writing this and I hope you enjoy reading! also 'courting' is when one person typically spends time and puts in effort with the person they are wanting to pursue! a little better than the talking stage lmao. I would also like to thank @gyupremacy @junniieesbby and @amoryeonjun for helping me come up with title options for this fic, ily guys (I may use one for a short sequel to this but that's for another day lmao)
Tumblr media
a few days ago you had promised taehyun that you would come with him to his final hockey game for the season. in exchange, he made a promise to take you out on a date after, regardless if he wins or not.
and that led you to this very moment.
the sports venue was quite big, just the right size for the local games, with the building accommodating two rinks for figure skaters on the other side and ice hockey on the side you're on, in which you're seated by the acrylic panels so you were one of the closest to the rink.
just for taehyun.
he's the sole reason you've bought new outerwear and accessories to keep you warm within the rink, you even bought a jersey jumper with the colours of the team he is in. perhaps you went the extra mile and personalised it with his surname and birth date number.
"I hope you'll come to my hockey game this weekend. it's the last one for the season and it would mean a lot to me if you came along. and then afterwards I'll promise to take you on a date, please?"
his words echoed in your head as if he had told you just before you arrived at the sports venue. a smile had started creeping up on your face as you remembered the way he almost begged you to go on a date with him; his eyes gentle and his hand enveloped yours.
taehyun's team, rockets, had plenty of fans. some being seated a few rows behind you on your far left. it wasn't hard to miss them from the way you could hear high pitched squeals as soon as the players for rockets stepped their hockey skates onto the ice, watching the team skate past you one by one.
as each player glided past you, the cheers for the team were non-stop, whistles, screams and chants behind you. yet you managed to block them out a little — as if the lack of sounds would help you see better — and your eyes were darting around to look out for one player in particular.
then the crowd started to cheer significantly louder than before. that's when your eyes locked with a pair of large, round ones that had a familiar hold on yours. he sent you a subtle wave paired with a quick wink, and you thank god that you were sat at the front to catch that.
you waved your blue and red striped scarf, that you had bought just for him, as you called out for him and his team name as an attempt to hide the fact you could feel your cheeks heating up.
but taehyun noticed. you couldn't hide that from him.
the game wasn't going to start for another thirty minutes since the players were gliding around for their on-ice warm ups. you observed the way players would get comfortable on the ice, taking in long strides, others in smaller groups to do their crossover drills from one end of the rink to the other.
you noticed some of the crowd coming closer around you, to the acrylic panels since they were able to stand there within the duration of practice up until the puck drop. luckily you remained in your seat and was still able to have some space around you.
a call of your name caught your attention, but you knew it wasn't taehyun's voice from the sounds of it. a player from the opposing team, wearing the black and white kit, had slowed down skating in front of you, and attempted to spark your attention but you remained neutral and kept a tight lipped smile.
"yah! penguin. shouldn't you be on the other side of the rink?" your ears focus on taehyun's voice, muffling the sounds around you.
knowing taehyun, he was just being protective over you but you still had to make sure he didn't get into any fights. the game hadn't even started yet. he made his way past the opposing player, gliding past him as he slowed down right against the acrylic and knocked on it.
you okay? he mouthed at you with a little nod of assurance.
you gave him a soft smile with two thumbs up to give back the reassurance, but taehyun still felt compelled to stay a few seconds longer. he gave you a knowing look with a head tilt and brows raised slightly, but you couldn't help but laugh a little at his determination to make sure you were okay. again, you noded and smiled as you moved your wrists flicking outwards in a 'shoo' motion so he could get back into warming up with no distractions.
it was amusing that that was the first time taehyun behaved assertively in front of another player outside of the game. he usually had good sportsmanship with all players, however, this time around it seemed as thought he was more bothered than you were.
watching taehyun was nothing out of the norm for you since you always offered to come with him during his practices, admiring the way his skin glowed and reflected the light from the ice below him. watching the way he moved from one side of the rink to the other with steady and swift movements while in control of passing the puck was something you were always amazed about.
there had been a few cases when taehyun was free on the ice, face turning to look straight at you since he always knew where you would sit, and once he had your attention he'd quickly wave at you. you knew if you were on the ice yourself you would melt right through.
*:・゚❅・゚
after a good twenty minutes of the game, the first intermission had started. the teams made their way to their designated sides off the rink, rehydrating and even getting something to nibble on within the fifteen minutes they had.
some players came back onto the rink five minutes before the game resumed, skating to their assigned places. meanwhile you kept your eyes out for your best friend, but the same player from the opposing team made a return towards you.
you noticed but you paid him no attention, keeping that same tight lipped smile while your eyes were darting everywhere but in front of you.
he knocked on the clear barrier, and mouthed 'can I get your number?' and gestured his hand to a phone sign in which you slowly shook your head and mouthed a 'sorry'. he didn't seem to take it and asked again, begging at this point. you were about to shake your head again until a player in blue and red skimmed behind him and backed him up against the clear panel.
you stood up to get a better look and it was no other than taehyun. he was about to grab the other player by the collar of their kit until you had your hand flat on the surface and banging it against the acrylic three times to grasp his attention. taehyun's fist didn't reach the collar, thankfully, catching the worry in your eyes and he retracted his unravelling fist.
a sigh left you as you saw him back up from his opponent, your head shaking slowly at him while you mouth 'it's okay'. he was lucky he hadn't gone ahead with it otherwise it'd led to a five-minute major penalty towards him. he still had two thirds of the game left.
once you sat back down in your seat, you readied yourself for the next twenty minutes of the game. the teams were back in their designated sides of the rink, and taehyun was set in his position as center.
you focused on him, knees slightly bent, hands holding the hockey stick and his concentration on the center before the referee dropped the puck. he hits the puck as soon as it collided with the ice, and his movements remained swift and sharp as he and his teammates led the puck to the other side of the rink.
it was clear seeing the puck passed from taehyun, center, to the left winger then right winger, but so many players blocked your vision. it had you thinking the puck had been taken by the opposing team, though in a fraction of a second your ears were filled with the crowd cheering. from the sounds of it rockets had scored a goal, and you looked up at the screen above the rink to watch a quick replay of who scored the goal.
it was no other than the star player who has your heart.
you stood up, cheering and clapping, waving your scarf as you try and find him in your field of vision. almost as if you were in a movie, the hockey players skated aside and taehyun's skating towards his original position, facing you. you could see his teethy smile as he pointed out at you, hearing a few 'ooh's and whistles from the audience.
the pounding in your chest felt like it was about to burst and the heat crawling up to your cheeks were starting to burn you up. you shook your head at him again, this time sheepishly, as you bit the inside of your cheek, refraining your grin but you couldn't hold out and let out an endearing laugh.
*:・゚❅・゚
it was the second and last intermission of the overall game. the game time period had just finished up nicely, rockets' scores in the lead with nine and the opposing team with five. you had a good feeling about rockets winning the final twenty minutes of the game.
there were about eight minutes left of the intermission before they resumed the game, so you made your way through the row to the restroom.
as you walked down the corridor to find the toilets you felt a loose grasp on your wrist, making your gasp hitch in your throat and turn your head to see just the person you couldn't wait to see until the end of the game.
"tae, what are you doing here?" you whispered at him, the confusion on your face clear as day.
"I was too excited, I wanted to see you."
you noticed the way his slightly damp and dishevelled hair was grazing just by his brows, his face glowing from the sheer layer of sweat. and his eyes steady on yours.
"well," you slid your wrist out of his hold and played with his fingers. "we still have that date later tonight, remember?"
you looked up at him and you see a proud smirk on his lips, nodding his head slowly in attempt to keep in his excitement. but the rose hue on his cheeks were a big giveaway.
"I'll see you later then. I'll do my best for you, keep your eyes on me."
taehyun lifted your hand and lightly pressed his lips against the back of your fingers. the familiar feeling of your heart about to burst in your chest returned, and you caught the way the tips of his ears blushed the same pink tinge you saw earlier.
"do your best, my star player." you smiled at him, and he let out a soft scoff intertwined with his laugh. watching him walk away to get back onto the rink and finally letting you go to the restroom.
walking into the restroom you slammed your hands flat on the countertop beside the sink, looking at your reflection in disbelief.
"my star player?! really?" your expression changed when you repeated it again, smiling at yourself and shaking your head. "I must be out of my mind."
you can't believe how fast your feelings were brewing for your best friend. there's always been this unspoken dynamic between you, indirect words that mean something a little more, looks that only has your heart fluttering in your chest — and his. gestures that tended to linger and only either one of you would notice that it was a second longer than what would be considered 'platonic'.
snapping out of your reverie you went to use the toilet before making your way back to your seat. you had the final twenty minutes left and then the evening to talk to taehyun properly.
*:・゚
there were five minutes left until the game was over, and during this game the opposing team had scored three times, bringing the current score for rockets with nine, still, and the opposing team with eight.
you hoped the game wouldn't end in a tie. it would be a shame to end the final game of the season in a tie. rockets were doing so well throughout the past two game, but this third game seemed to be the opposite of what they call 'the charm'.
"come on, come on. just one more point." you whispered to yourself, chanting nervously. your hands gripped onto your jacket, taking it off and revealing your customised jersey jumper reading 'KANG' with '05' underneath in bold.
as soon as you were sat comfortably, you checked the time once more; just under four minutes until the end of the game.
one last point and you'd be celebrating later in the evening.
you watched the puck passed around by the opposing team, almost accepting defeat until the players started skating towards the other end of the rink. rockets had the puck by their sticks and from all you could see, it was being passed repeatedly between the left winger and left defence. losing sight of it again it seems like the right winger had it until you saw taehyun receiving it.
with an extremely quick knock of his hockey stick against the puck, it flew into the goal for the final time this season and the speakers let out the horn indicating the end of the game. the screen above showed the final scores, rockets - 10 / guests - 8.
just in time, and your star player was surrounded by his teammates, each of them skating up to him and knocking the front of their helmets together. watching him being congratulated by his team was so endearing to watch — especially knowing just how much work he's put into this sport, knowing how much he loves it.
the crowd behind you was still full of cheers, whistles and chanting. but your eyes were fixed on taehyun as he took his helmet off, his hair a little more damp and dishevelled compared to when you saw him during the second intermission. that didn't stop him from looking incredible with his face literally glowing from his sweat and the ice reflecting off of the droplets.
he made a beeline towards you for the last time on the ice, a huge grin adorned on his face along with his asymmetrical dimple making an appearance.
was it because his team won? perhaps. was it because you were wearing the jersey with his name and birth date? most likely.
his smile was too contagious you didn't realise when you started smiling so hard, you were laughing a little too. the continuous cheers had you joining in, clapping towards taehyun, all while he mouthed a 'meet me by the foyer'.
after the crowd started moving, you made your way straight to the foyer, watching the audience walk past you as they exited the venue.
you're leaning against a pillar, watching the last strand of the light in the sky disappear through the floor to ceiling glass panels as your stomach was filled up with butterflies from the thought of going on a date with your best friend and making it a joint celebratory dinner.
a pair of hands abruptly weighed your shoulders down, having your heart leap out of your chest as you turn around to a giggly and cheerful taehyun.
"tyun! you were amazing out there!" you exclaimed, jumping up to hug him with your arms over his shoulders and his bag sliding down his arm, only hugging you with one arm around your waist.
"yeah well, I had to put on my best. you were watching." you playfully nudged his arm, biting back your grin but his was too contagious to hold back. "no but seriously, the team did so well tonight. they're going out to celebrate, actually."
your smile faltered in the littlest bit, thinking carefully before you asked him.
"do you want to go too? we can always rain check the date... if you want? I don't mind, seriously." you felt the guilt appear inside you, not wanting to hold him back. you saw how happy he was out there and it wasn't all the time you saw taehyun like that.
"hey, no." taehyun shrugged his bag strap to hang from his shoulder, and wrapped an arm around your shoulder, slowly walking out the exit together to toward the car park. "I have a date to go to and I wouldn't want to miss that for the world. I see those blokes almost every week anyway, I'll live."
taehyuns words brought the flutter back in your chest and you raised your hand to hold onto his that's hanging over your shoulder. the evening air was cool and taehyun's freshly washed hair was finally out of his face. from the angle you could see, he was literally the definition of perfection in your books.
letting his words process in your head, all you managed to say was, "ah, you're so cheesy." you let go of his hand to open the car door, sitting inside as you waited for him to put his stuff in the trunk and sit in the driver's seat.
"yeah, but you like it though." his voice had a playful tone, probably with a smile on his face, it was dark in the car. he wasn't even looking at you, buckling his seatbelt and inserting the key to start the car.
yeah. I do.
*:・゚❅・゚
it's almost been an hour since taehyun dropped you home to get ready and he did the same. you texted him saying that you were done and just waiting for him to pick you up, which didn't take too long because he fortunately didn't live too far away from you.
your phone's notification sound went off as he sent you a simple I'm outside text, but that was the norm with him. you grabbed your purse and shrugged on your coat over your dress, examining your final look through the body-length mirror in the hallway before unlocking the door.
a taehyun in a black button down, top button left undone and sleeves folded to a three quarters length up his forearm that matched nicely with his dark slacks was standing in front of you. and how could you look past the bouquet of red roses arranged with baby's breath, elegantly wrapped in decorative cellophane.
"for my beautiful date."
your lips formed a subtle pout as you retrieved the flowers from him, noticing the sheer bow wrapped around the stems.
"taehyun," your voice was meek, just audible enough until you cleared your throat. "these are stunning, thank you, handsome."
you walked back into the hallway to place them in an empty vase in which you emptied out a couple of days ago after you'd turned the old arrangement into dried flowers.
returning to the entrance, you released a heavy sigh while walking through the door, controlling yourself to not gawk at the gorgeous man stood on your porch.
"why?" taehyun stepped aside for you to shut and lock the door.
you could feel him hovering behind you, and you noticed his shadow casted over your shoulder and could be seen against the wooden door.
"because..." your voice trailed.
once you were done checking you had locked the door properly, you turned around, paying no attention that you were incredibly close to taehyun's face, his eyes darting to your lips before looking back up at your eyes. you lost your balance as your back almost crashed into the door if it wasn't for his hand resting on your lower back.
"because?" he parroted.
your chest was slightly heaving, knowing that he could potentially hear your heart drumming in your chest for the nth time that evening.
"um, because... we're gonna be late for our reservation." you hastily slid aside and walked towards his car as he trailed behind you, his hands in his pockets and letting out an amused scoff with an endeared smile on his face.
*:・゚
to your relief, you had arrived just in time for your private reservation and you had nothing to worry about. the restaurant was beautiful — it was elegant. the high ceiling with dark grey marble pillars in each corner of the room to withhold the structure. a contrast from the ligher shade of grey for the tiled flooring.
"how long until the next season?" you asked taehyun, curious as you fiddled with the corner of the napkin on the table.
despite being with taehyun almost on a daily basis, this was something you weren't used to. the atmosphere was a little different, a little thicker and laced with something that hasn't been spoken about, but it's there.
you were nervous. you knew that, taehyun knew that and he could definitely see that. he reached his hand over to scoop up your fingers gently into his, and the motion of his thumb skimming over your knuckles somewhat helped with those nerves.
"this season only finished a few hours ago, ___." the continuous movement of his calloused fingers against yours had calmed you down enough, but you couldn't manage to look him in the eye until he tugged on your hand lightly. "but probably not for another couple of months or so, we'll see."
you both held eye contact, the longest you managed ever since he picked you up from your house. he opened his mouth to say something but you had already beat him to it, starting to speak before you realised.
"I meant it when I said this, but you genuinely looked so happy out there on the rink." he listened and nodded as he let you continue. "just seeing you so passionate about what you love on the ice rink at first hand was amazing, honestly." you let out a half hearted chuckle.
"well, part of it's because you're there to support me. throughout my practices, trainings and today's game." it was your turn to caress the inside of his palm, letting him know that you'd always be there for him. "and I have something to say."
you nod, listening intently.
"if it wasn't for you supporting me throughout, I don't know if I would've even continued up until now. I got this far because of you. and I know you can sense... whatever this attraction is between us too. you're my best friend and always will be," he paused, noticing the way you bit the inside of your cheek. "but I also want to be your lover."
taehyun didn't know if it was the reflection from the hanging lights above you, but he swore your eyes lit up. you didn't know if you were going to cry because you almost thought you were getting friendzoned, or it was because taehyun had cleared the air and asked to be your lover.
worry washes over taehyun's face, setting aside his utensils as he picked up his napkin to lightly dab on the stray tear that fell without your knowledge. he cooed at you, and you weakly laughed at yourself.
"I was afraid you were going to friendzone me for a second." you had taehyun lightly scoff and slowly shook his head at you, but his gaze softened, brows relaxed and eyes twinkling. "I'd love you to be my lover, tyun. and I'll love you twice as much."
your tears brimmed at your eyes, threatening to fall one after the other until taehyun decided to get out of his chair and walk over to you, a knee on the ground while he cupped your cheek and cooed you with sweet, reassuring words.
"I'd be a fool if I friendzoned you," he dabbed away the tears towards the outer corner of your eyes, "you okay?"
you nodded your head in certainty, cupping his cheek and you noticed the way his eyes are so focused on you, holding the galaxy within. the eyes of your best friend filled with nothing but love and adoration for you.
"tyun?" he hums at you whispering his name. "can I kiss you?"
he huffed an exhale paired with a hopeful nod, and his eyes are focused on your lips.
"please do."
you both let out relieved sighs once your lips collided. his hand gently slid from your cheek to the back of your neck as he deepened the kiss, melting into one another's touch. his moan got caught in the back of his throat the moment he felt your teeth gingerly tugging on his bottom lip before parting the kiss.
"you're just full of surprises, aren't you?" he chuckled at your expression once you realised what you did.
"well, there's a first for everything, isn't there?" your tone smug with a hint of confidence, taehyun attempted to keep a stoic expression.
"that's so cheesy." he stood up, stroking the top of your head and tucking a few loose strands behind your ear.
"but you liked it though." you replied, and he returned to his seat, facing you with a defeated but pleased look on his face.
"yeah, I do"

Fuck, you really don’t want to do this.
Sunghoon leads you into the small arena, an obvious pep in his step.
Between the both of you, he seemed to be the only excited one—understandable, considering ice skating was his forte, his second home, and his first love. There were many reasons Sunghoon had to anticipate this; just as many as you had to not.
For several weeks, Sunghoon had been pushing for you to go skating with him because he went swimming once in your favour (as much as he was opposed to it), so he figured it would only be fair for you to go ice skating.
“At least you won’t be at risk of drowning,” Sunghoon had said, “I just inhaled a gallon of pool water, it can’t be this bad.”
And at that point in time, you agreed, simply because you did see it as a fair deal.
But as time passed, you realized that you really didn’t want to humiliate yourself in front of Sunghoon, not when you had the fattest crush on the boy. It would be embarrassing to imagine yourself slipping and sliding on the ice like a baby taking its first steps. That would keep you up at night.
You even used your athlete card to stall, telling your best friend that you didn’t want to hurt yourself in the middle of your extensive training. And, sure, Sunghoon understood completely—he was an athlete after all—though he started getting a sense that you were stalling for no real reason.
What finally pushed you to go skating was the fact that Sunghoon took it upon himself to buy you brand-new skates, even asking his little sister to break them in for you. That way, even if you refused them, there was no way he could return them.
“Are you sure we’re even allowed to be in here?” It was late in the evening and long after closing. The ice looked like it was just gone over by the zamboni and you’d feel bad if you and Sunghoon were to ruin it again for the night.
He’s still leading you around the rink and toward the waiting area for the athletes. Once you both reach it, he plops his gym bag down on one of the benches and gestures for you to follow.
“I spoke to coach and he allowed me to,” he says, “So we have it all to ourselves.”
Despite how confidently Sunghoon replied, he was lying through his teeth. He did ask his coach if he could use the rink after hours, but his coach didn’t exactly hear him. So really, you and Sunghoon weren’t allowed to be there, but what was the worst they could do? Kick him off the team?
Sunghoon sits down and pulls out his skates and you follow. You watch and mirror everything he’s doing. He slips his sneakers off before he loosens the laces of his skates, then beginning with his right foot, he slides the skate on.
Sunghoon’s fingers begin to pull at the laces, starting from the front of the shoe. You watch as he tightens them, looping the white string around his fingers and then pulling outwards. He works his way up, finishing it with a simple double knot before he pulls his training pants over top of his skate.
What the fuck?
You’re left wondering how the hell Sunghoon had done that so quickly, but then you recall that he’s probably been doing that for years. You take in a deep breath before bending over to try and do what he’s just done, fingers failing to find enough strength to tighten the skate as much as you wanted it to.
You let out a huff before you try pulling on the laces again, only to be met with the same results.
“Here, let me help.”
Unbeknownst to you, Sunghoon had been watching you attempt and fail, secretly finding your effort cute before he did offer assistance.
Sunghoon kneels down in front of you, taking the laces between his fingers before he starts lacing them up. “Just let me know if they’re too tight,” he says, working his way up the skate, “They need to be snug.”
You nod even though you know Sunghoon can’t see you, keeping your legs steady. Sunghoon finishes before you know it, patting each of your feet before pushing himself up from the ground, “Those feel good?”
“Yeah, thanks,” you say. The skates feel foreign on your feet, but they’re comfortable—like two tight hugs around your ankles—now it was all about how you would be managing to balance when you stood up.
With one shaky breath, you scoot forward on the bench and lift yourself off. Surprisingly, it wasn’t that difficult to stand on skates. Sure, you needed to be a bit more conscious of your balance, but it wasn’t as tough as you thought it would be. Sunghoon leads you to one of the openings, yanking the door open. He steps out onto the ice in excitement, doing a quick lap in the time that it took you to waddle over to the gate. When he notices that you’re waiting at the entrance, he glides over to you with his arms out. “Let’s go. You ready?”
Blinking at his outstretched arms, you shake your head, “Huh? I-I thought you were gonna give me those granny walkers.”
Honestly, you should be ecstatic that Sunghoon was willingly offering you his hands, but realistically, you knew you’d melt right then and there by the contact. Besides, the granny walkers were practically the equivalent of a life jacket at the pool. It was just fair for you to ask for one of those because you provided him one.
“That’s five minutes to the storage room and back,” he whines, urging for you to take his hands, “So it’s either you hold my hands or you raw dog it.”
“I’ll just… uh–raw dog it.” You snort at Sunghoon’s choice of words and gesture for him to back up so that you can step onto the ice. You watch where your feet land, helmet on your head weighing it down slightly because it’s still a bit loose on your head.
“Okay~ Whatever you say~” Sunghoon sings. The man starts to skate around the rink, showing off with simple twirls and one-footed glides. He watches you from the corners of his eyes, your fingers gripping onto the ice rink’s boards.
You’re tottering sideways along the perimeter, scraping some of the ice as you go. The combination of the fresh ice and sharp skating blades wasn’t ideal for you, feeling yourself slide without you trying.
It takes you a moment to realize just how tense your leg muscles were, afraid that if you were to relax, you’d be on the floor wiped out.
“Fuck,” you mutter. You’re pushing your weight against the boards, breath growing shaky every time you try to let go. You don’t quite trust yourself to hold yourself up. It feels like the second you let go of the edge, you’re going to lose your balance.
Oh, fuck it.
“Hoon?” You call out. You don’t exactly see where he is on the ice because your back is turned to the rink, “Hoon.”
You hear the sharp scrape of ice before your best friend appears next to you, brows raised with a small, patient smile on his lips, “Yes~”
Without saying another word, you hold one of your hands out for him to take. You refuse to look at him, knowing that he’d end up teasing the hell out of you and giving up so easily.
Sunghoon immediately understands your request. He gently takes your fingertips in one hand, extending his other hand in anticipation of your second arm joining in the hold. With a gentle pull, he leads you toward the center of the ice, making sure you're keeping your balance.
You were so tense that the thought of melting in Sunghoon’s arms had completely slipped your mind. It felt as though your knees were going to buckle, but you tried to keep your knees bent—something that you had picked up from some tiktok you saw a while ago on ice skating.
“Okay, I’m going to let go now,” Sunghoon warns, dropping one of your hands. The warmth of his hand is replaced with the cool air of the building.
“Wait! Not yet!” Your empty arm sticks out, trying to grab hold of air. Despite your balance, there was that lingering thought at the back of your mind telling you that you’d fall on your ass if Sunghoon let go.
Sunghoon is quick to take your hand in his, and it immediately calms you down. “I’m not gonna let you fall.”
And although the comment makes your heart start running a marathon, you glare up at him, “You better not.”
He laughs and distances himself away from you, remaining tethered to you with your joined hands, “Okay, to move forward, I need you to start marching on the spot like this.” Sunghoon demonstrates what he wants you to do and you easily mirror it.
The skates beneath your feet bring you forward and you feel yourself relax in the slightest.
“You’re doing it!” Sunghoon cheers, “Okay, to stop, just slowly point your toes inwards like this while bending your knees.” Sunghoon tries his best to show you what to do while keeping your hands in his.
You nod and you do exactly what he says, and surely enough, you both skid to a halt closer to one end of the rink. “This… this is not too bad.”
As you gain a bit of confidence, Sunghoon suggests, "Want me to let go of one hand?"
You glance at him from underneath the rim of the helmet and consider the idea for a moment. Part of you wants to prove that you can do it on your own, but another part still needs that stability that he’s providing. Swallowing your pride, you admit, "Maybe just one hand for now."
Sunghoon nods and releases your right hand, slipping to your side. “Are you sure you haven’t skated before?” He pulls you carefully behind him, turning so that you both wouldn’t be bumping straight into the boards—and surprisingly, you turn with ease, keeping your balance as you do.
You nod stiffly, “I’ve rollerbladed? But that’s not the same.” He shrugs, “It’s the same in some sense.”
Your eyes fall to the sight of your hand being held delicately in his. The skating has only distracted you from the fact that you were indeed hand-in-hand with Park Sunghoon.
Shit.
It’s gradual, but you feel it. Beat by beat, your heart begins to pound stronger against your chest.
At first, you ignore it, slowly following the circular path that you and Sunghoon had begun to make after a few rotations. But as Sunghoon continues giving you tips and tricks he’s learned over his many years of figure skating, the more you realize that you can’t actually understand what he’s saying.
All you could hear was the rushing of blood in your ears and the muffled thumping of that cursed organ behind your rib cage.
It’s ridiculous, really—how something as simple as your best friend holding your hand is doing this to you—but you’d like to think it’s because you’ve been hiding these damn feelings for far too long and it’s trying it’s best to dig itself out of you.
Then, you hear your name and the heat enveloping your hand is gone. Blinking pulls you back to reality. You see Sunghoon skating away from you, leaving you dab-smacked in the middle of the rink.
“Wait, where are you going?”
Sunghoon yells a ‘Hold on!’ over his shoulder and climbs over the judges’ booth. He plays with a few buttons, fiddling with the soundboard before pulling his phone out of his pocket to connect it.
It takes you a few moments to process that Sunghoon is going to play music.
Sunghoon's voice carries across the ice as he shouts, "I thought some music would make it more fun! Got any requests?"
You shake off the initial surprise and manage to croak out a response, "Uh, anything is fine!"
He grins and starts scrolling through his playlist. After a few beats, the distant sound of a melody begins to fill the arena. You take notice that he chose a rather dramatic song, one that was rather theatrical, before he skates back to you, extending his hand once again.
"Ready for a little dance on ice?" he teases.
There goes the beat of your heart again. It skyrockets the second he slides to a halt in front of you, like some ice prince that’s been pulled straight out of a book. You chuckle nervously, feeling a mixture of excitement and anxiety. "I don't know about dancing, Hoon."
He takes your hand himself, “I promise I won’t let you fall.” And you couldn’t bring yourself to reject his invitation, almost as if the song and the warmth of his hand had put some kind of trance on you.
Sunghoon leads you into a series of simple moves, his expertise evident in the grace of his movements. Despite the nerves, you find yourself enjoying the rhythm of the music and letting Sunghoon guide you around the centre of the ice.
As the song reaches its climax, Sunghoon suggests, "How about a spin?"
You hesitate for a moment, “Oh, I don’t know about–”
Sunghoon dismisses your uncertainty, lifting your arm above your head. And like the expert he was, Sunghoon has you spinning in one spot, guiding you into a semi-graceful twirl. Surprisingly, the movement feels natural, as if you were floating on air rather than gliding on ice.
Sunghoon takes it upon himself to slow you down, grabbing your shoulders to stop you completely. “How was that?”
“It was fun!” you say, “But… dizzy…”
Sunghoon nearly overlooks the fact that you were entirely inexperienced with all of this and unfamiliar with the sensation of spinning (whether it was on ice or not).
You attempt to step forward to prevent yourself from falling, but instead of the skate's blade making contact with the ice, the toe pick hits it, causing you to stumble forward and collide with Sunghoon's chest.
Sunghoon’s caught off guard, not expecting you to fall forward, and this sends him falling backward and onto his back with you wrapped securely in his arms. The air knocked out of him the second he hit the ice and the both of you are clutching to each other for dear life.
“Fuck, I’m sorry,” you say. You can’t find the power in you to get up, “That was my fault, I’m sorry.”
Sunghoon’s groaning underneath you, trying to catch his breath. “It’s fine, don't worry about it.” He lets his head fall onto the ice, eyes squeezed shut to stop the stars in his eyes.
Practically chest to chest with Sunghoon, you use one arm to lift some of your weight off of him, “It’s not fine. You could’ve been badly hurt!”
A soft laugh escapes his lips and he shakes his head, “I’m the one who spun you, Y/N… It was all–” Sunghoon finally opens his eyes to look at you and he’s thrown off guard, fully not expecting you to be right above him, “My… fault…”
The next song plays over the speaker, slower than the last. It completely shifts the atmosphere, one you couldn’t quite name, but it matches it perfectly. Your heart fails to conceal how you feel and the music does nothing to hide its thumping.
Sunghoon’s arms are still holding your waist, heat seeping through his thin jacket and through yours, but he doesn’t choose to let go. Not now. Not when…
“Y/N…”
Sunghoon gently lifts one hand, cradling your cheek in his warm palm. His eyes flicker down to your lips, perfectly aligned just above his thumb.
You can't ignore the subtle shift in his attention, but a nagging doubt creeps in, making you question the reality of the moment… because maybe you were just seeing things…. maybe your heart was messing with the way your brain was functioning.
Perhaps this was impulsive, but you choose to lean in, though slowly, to make sure you had time to stop yourself if you misinterpreted everything.
And perhaps it wasn’t a mistake because Sunghoon does nothing to stop you.

Can you PLEASEEEE write a fic about Nathan and hockey🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Big Game Pt 1
SLS x Nathan Doe
warnings: Not yet hehehe
Nathan's POV
Today was the big hockey game of the season for Somerville High School. We had made it all the way to the State Finals.
Matt and Chris, my best friends and a part of the Sturniolo Quadruplets, were playing in the game as well. Nick was there for photography reasons, and their sister, SLS/N, was tagging along to cheer us on.
-
It was lunch time and the boys, SLS/N, and I were at our usual table in the back. We Chris and I were talking about the game while Nick and Matt were getting lunch in line. SLS/N was sitting quietly, writing in her notebook
She had her nose scrunched, biting her lip in concentration. Looking absolutely adorable while doing it. I couldn't help but look at her, getting distracted from Chris talking.
"Hey! Are you even listening?" He laughs snapping in my face.
I laugh, may face turning a little red. Lucky for me, Matt and Nick walk over. Matt gently ruffles her hair, as she looks up at him and smiles, showing her dimples. Adorable.
"So, you guys excided for your game?" I hear her ask.
I look up and she's looking at me. I quickly look down, stabbing at my lunch with my fork.
-
The bell rang for lunch, the triplets taking the left to get to PE, while SLS/N and I take a right so I can drop her off at her Spanish class, just like we do every day.
Just before I drop her off, I work up the courage to take my home jersey, the one that I won't use because we're playing away today and toss it at her.
"Wear it at the game. You need a little spirit." I say, giving her a smile while running my fingers through my hair.
She catches it and unfolds it, holding it up and reading Doe on the back. She looks up at me and smiles.
"You know I can wear matt's or Chris's, right?" She asks, but kept the jersey all the same, tucking it into her backpack.
"Yeah, but my last names way cooler than theirs." I say, giving her a wave and walking to my class.
I hear her giggle then walk into her class.
-
As soon as the bell rang, I rushed out of my calculus class, down the main stairs, and out the door to get to the student parking lot. We had an hour and a half long drive to get the the ice rink, so we needed to get going.
Matt, Chris, and I all chucked our hockey gear into the back along with our backpacks, shutting the car door. We then hopped in the car, only to notice that SLS/N was not in the car yet.
"Oh my god, i thought I told her to get out quick." Matt mumbled under his breath, eyeing the long line of cars, cramming together while trying to get out of the parking lot.
We only had to wait about five more minutes until I see SLS/N running towards the car. The hops in between Nick and I in the back, out of breath and her cheeks pink from running all the way here.
"Matt-I'm so-so sorry. Some idiot spilled paint all over me." She says in between breaths.
only then did I notice the blue paint, running all the way down her shirt. Her shirt was wet, like she tried to get some of it off with water, only to make it spread worse.
But I was shocked at what she did next.
"Chris, can i borrow your hoodie for the game?" She asked her older brother.
He nodded, taking off his black sweatshirt and handing it to her. Much to my surprise, she peeled of her wet shirt, leaving her in just a sports bra before throwing Chris's hoodie on.
I felt my cheeks turn red, noticing how close I was to her bare skin. She then dug around in her backpack, and pulled out my other jersey, and put that on over the black hoodie.
I smiled at myself, admiring how good she looks with my name on her back.
New series y'all!!! Part 2 tomorrow if ur interested, let me know in the comments!!!

An - omg I feel like I haven’t posted in a year what. Okay so earlier this week I went to a hockey game, and something happened while I was there and I wanted to write a fic about it. And I wanted to do Nate because I love Nate, and we need more Nate fics out there asap. And the song has nothing to do with the fic, it was the song I kept playing while writing this 😭
Paring - Nathan Doe X FemReader
Summary - You go to one of Nate’s hockey games
Warnings - Kissing, NOT PROOFREAD
Requested - Nope
ALSO YALL, I FIRST WROTE THIS IN THE BEGINNING OF OCTOBER SO THERE WILL BE HALLOWEEN THEMED THINGS HERE, SORRY IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO UPLOAD
I hadn’t realize how late I had slept in until I heard my alarm go off more than 30 times, most of which I had just sleep through. I check the time and see it’s a little past 3. Shit. I had so much to do and had it all planned out. I was to clean my house, get a gift for Nate, go grocery shopping, and decorate for fall. I’ll just eat some food while I’m out but right now, I need to clean up my place. I have u til 6:30 to get everything done on my list. Considering Nate’s game starts at 7.
I clean my house, lighting candles and turning on fairy lights I have setup around my house. I take a quick shower and put on my freshly clean clothes. I do a slick back bun, not trying to do anything fancy. I get into my car and make a quick stop at Starbucks to get a drink. I also did an online order for my favorite lunch place in town so it’s ready for pickup when I get there. I pickup my lunch and eat in my car as I drive to target. I put my Starbucks in the cup holder of my cart and push it too the food section.
I grab my list of food and start putting it in my cart. I decided to grab some cookie dough for me and Nate to back after his game. I go over to the floral section and grab a bag of white, blue, and purple pair and place it in my cart. I’m on my way towards check out when I spot the cutest pair of matching pj sets. There was a vampire, pumpkin, and ghost option. They were all so cute but I decided to get the ghost ones. I check out and go home to eat dinner and decorate.
I decided to make something, quick, easy, and delicious. I play my fall playlist as I grab my last year bin full of pumpkins, signs, pillows and blankets. It only takes me around 30 minutes considering I cleaned earlier. I looked at the time, with not much time left I had to get ready. I put the totes back and head to my room. I put on a pair of leggings and his hockey jersey that he gave me. I take out my hair and do two French braids. I take some face paint type makeup I have and write his number on my cheek.
I put on my shoes and grab his flowers and teddy I bought him earlier that week. I grab a blanket so I don’t get cold at the rink. I drive to the rink in only 10 minutes. I head inside and get a ticket. I’m greeted inside by the triplets. They all look over at me and walk my way.
“Finally, we’ve been waiting for like 5 hours” Nick says rolling his eyes
“Nick, we got here 5 minutes ago-“ Matt chimed in
“Oh hush.” Nick says, crossing his arms, clearly annoyed.
“I’m so excited to watch my boyfriend play!” Chris says clapping his hands. Nick, Matt and I slowly turn towards Chris, giving him a confused look.
“Fine, I can’t wait to watch her boyfriend play” Chris says sarcastically but rolling his eyes.
“That’s what I thought.” I say pushing Chris a little bit jokingly. We all walk to the rink, getting a rush of cold air as the door opens. I could feel goosebumps approaching my skin. I wrap the blanket around my shoulders and sit down with the triplets. We sat and waited for the game to start. It only took a couple scrolls on insta before the players came walking out of the locker room and onto the ice to warmups. It wasn’t hard for me to find him, considering I had his number imprinted into my brain. Before I the warmups ended, I went to the snack bar and got myself a water and chips for me and the triplets. I head back just in time for the game to start. We all stand up and start to cheer, like the rest of the crowd. I only had my eye on one player the whole time. Every time he scored a point and I would jump up and down and scream for him. The three looked at me like I was insane but I didn’t care.
The game was over and Nate’s team won! We all wait for Nate outside of the locker room to finish up, but before he comes out I need to use the restroom. I come back not too long and see the brothers talking to a man I wanted to hug the first I saw him on the ice. He noticed me and started walking towards me. I ran up to him and gave him a hug.
“You did great tonight, I’m so proud of you.” I say giving him a peck on the lips.
“And these are for you.” I handed him the flowers and teddy bear, he then looked up at me with a smile that would make my heart melt.
“Thank you so much baby.” He said as he went to the side of me and wrapped his arm around my waist. He turned back and waved to the brothers as he started to walk with me out of the building. I help him load his things into my car, and we get inside the car after.
“So I had a really fun night planned out for us, but if you don’t want to do it, that’s okay and we can do something else.”
“It’s whatever makes you happy my love” I couldn’t help but blush at his words.
“So, my house is all decorated and I had candles going so it smells really good in there, and the house is clean so a bonus! And I was thinking we could make cookies and watch a movie together? And there’s also a surprise with that.” I say almost out of my seat from how happy I was.
“If that’s what you wanna do.” He says smiling back at me.
“Of course it’s what I want to do, but I wanted to know if u wanted to do it.” I say turning on my car, pulling out of the parking lot.
“I’m okay with anything you want to do.” He says looking out the window. I smile as I continue to drive back to my place. I pull into my driveway and get out of my car.
“Let’s take showers first tho.” I say unlocking my front door. He nods as I unlock the door and walk in. We take off our shoes at the front and walk to my room where my shower is.
“I’ll go first, I’ll be quick.” I say as I start to take out my hair. I hop in the shower and wash my face, get out, and wrap myself in a towel. I walk out into my room and too my closet, telling him it’s his turn on my way. He gets off the small couch I have in my room and head into the bathroom. I quickly get dressed into the pajamas I just bought for us. I sit down at my vanity and start doing my night skincare. I hear the shower turn off and with Nate walking out with the towel around his waist. He points at the pair of clothes on my bed.
“What’s this?”
“It’s yours, to wear! Tonight! To match with me!” I say turning around, show I’m in the matching set. He gives me a sigh but walks with it into the bathroom to get changed. I do a little clap of achievement, as I turn back around to finish my skincare. I hear the bathroom door open and see him walk out, giving me a sigh and looking down in disappointment.
“Hey! You look amazing! Don’t give me that I hate this energy, it’s supposed to be fun!” I say putting all my things away and getting up.
“I feel so weird in this.” He says throwing his hands like a baby
“Why? You look so cute!” I say walking towards him.
“Can I just take the shirt off? It feels tight.” He says scratching his neck
“Not yet! I wanna take a picture” I say grabbing my phone out. His arm wraps around my waist as I put the mode to 0.5x and turn on the flash. We smoosh our heads together doing a kissy face as I take the picture. I look at the picture to make sure it was okay then I put my phone down.
“Okay, let go make some cookies” I say kissing his cheek and walking out of my room. He follows close behind me. I grab a pack a Pillsbury cookies from the fridge and preheat the oven.
“How about you put on 6, and I put on 6” I say grabbing a tray from my cabinet.
“Good with me” He says giving me a smile
“Can I take my shirt off now?” He says whining
“Fine, Stop acting like a baby” I say as I start to put on my cookies.
We both finish putting on our cookies and put them in the oven. I walk over to my couch and turn on the tv.
“What would you like to watch?” I say looking up at him.
“I don’t know, you pick.” He says sitting down next to me
“Mhm, Corpse Bride? The Nightmare Before Christmas?” I say leaning back and laying my head on his chest
“Corpse Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Christmas movie.”
“No it’s not!” I say as I scoff
“It is tho!”
I shake my head and get up to go take the cookies out. I put them on a plate and organize them in a cute way. I bring the plate to the couch along with a blanket.
“Hold the plate while I put the blanket on us.” I say handing him the plate. I sit down, covering our legs and a little bit of my waist. He sets the plate down on the blanket.
“Do you like tonight?” I say putting my head on him again.
“Of course” He says kissing my head. I smile in happiness that I was able to make tonight special.
“I love you” I say lifting my head up.
“I love you more” He says giving me a peck on my lips

Pablo Gavi (FCBarcelona) - Skating Rink
Day 3 of Christmas
Tumblr media
"I hate this." Pablo said as he put one of the skates on his foot carefully. "Oh come on. I've had this booked since October. You knew this was coming up." Y/n, his girlfriend said. "What you didn't know was that I'd be unable to skate with the reason of, I don't know? Maybe my knee needing surgery?!" Pablo retorted. "And yet you still decided to come with me. I was going to ask your sister but you insisted." Pablo rolled his eyes and stood up. "Do you need the frame again?" She asked. Pablo scoffed. "There is no way, I am going to be using a frame that is made to help kids skate."
Pablo watched as his girlfriend skated rapidly around the rink as she simply used the kiddies Skating support frame. He mumbled to himself as he gently skated around before Y/n stopped going so quickly and simply skated alongside him. "It's a shame you had surgery. I think you would've been a pro at this if you hadn't had that injury." She smiled. "If I didn't have this injury, I'd be at training as we speak." She rolled her eyes. "No you wouldn't. This is like one of the few times a year you actually get the see me because I don't have college until January now." She grinned. "That just means I have more time to spend with you I the evenings." Pablo said, shrugging his shoulders. "Come on, I'll bring you for a skate. It looks less awkward when you have your girlfriend helping you." She said. "It may even look romantic." Pablo muttered. "Exactly. Now come on." She said and held onto him to bring his for a skate.
Without the frame was very different. He felt less stable and it didn't help that he still had a knee brace on either, but Y/n supported him enough to have little to now pain there. Y/n chuckled as she found her boyfriend holding onto her hands for dear life as she led him on carefully, making sure he wouldn’t fall. “Y/n! You’re going too fast!” Pablo shrieked as Y/n slowly went around a corner. “There is a child going around this rink quicker than us, babe.”
"So?!" He shrieked. "It's okay! Look at me." She let go of him. He panicked, but then decided to hold onto the wall for support. "I can spin and go fast. I am so good at-" Just as she was spinning, she managed to slip. She felt a snap, followed by a sharp pain shooting up through her leg. Pablo laughed at first, before he heard her roaring in pain. "Y/n! Are you alright?"
Cut to an hour later, the pair were sat in the hospital. Doctors had been in and out showing her, her x-rays and offering her pain medication. She also needed ice for the swelling on her ankle. "Gracies." Pablo said as the last doctor left the room. "I can't believe I did this to myself." Y/n muttered. "Well, it can happen to anyone. I'm just happy you don't need surgery." He joked. "Well, it's not my ACL now, is it?" The pair grew quiet as the constant beeping, and people talking surrounded them.
"At least now we both can't use our legs. We have an excuse to stay home and watch movies all Christmas." Pablo mumbled. Y/n chuckled, before it turned into full on laughter. Not too long after, Pablo joined in. As the doctors came in, the laughter died down. She held onto her boyfriends hand and looked at him. "I love you." She sighed. "I love you too." He replied. I think it's safe to say the pair never went ice Skating again after that. They couldn't have a repeat ever again. And I don't think Y/n could ever live down how cocky she was.

a/n: the votes were in and you guys asked for our ice prince, MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS MY LOVES, HERE IS MY SMALL GIFT TO YOU ALL ! 🎁
Tumblr media
"C'mon Hoonie I wanna show you something!"
You've always loved Christmas. Just everything about it was so magical to you.
From the warm lights decorating every surface around the rooms, the delicious baked goods and ofcourse the holiday excitement that came with the occasion making so many people joyful, it filled your entire heart.
This year, you would be spending this special occasion with your boyfriend Sunghoon for the first time and you thought going out for an evening walk around the city square market visiting the Christmas stalls would be perfect for the festivities before you could go home and put on your matching Christmas pyjamas, bundle yourselves up in warm blankets and watch Christmas movies with a cup of hot cocoa and mini marshmallows.
Intertwining your fingers with your boyfriend's cold yet soft ones, you speed through the crowd of lively people getting on your tippy toes trying to look for your wanted destination hidden between the large sea of people.
Finally spotting the small stall decorated with fairy lights amongst other Christmas stalls, your eyes land on the beautifully decorated Christmas decorations.
Specifically a small light up ferris wheel with ceramic characters and a little couple on one of the moving carts in the wheel.
"Isn't it pretty?" you whisper just loud enough for sunghoon to hear as you crouch down to be at eye level with the object to carefully take in every detail and stroke of the decor.
Spotting his long finger reach for the object, sunghoon touches the little cart with the couple inside and let's out a soft chuckle, "Hmm, doesn't that look like us?"
Rolling your eyes at his small joke you can't help but hide the small smile growing on your face as you look at the figurines holding each other in the cart.
The stall owner was quick to notice you looking at the displace and switched on the plug and to your suprise, the ferris wheel lit up and started to slowly move and you were left in awe.
"It moves AND lights up, no way. This is beautiful." you say softly taking it all in.
Sunghoon beside you couldn't help but find your expressions and excitement to be adorable, you were like a kid in a candy store as your eyes would pop out with happiness at anything around the square.
"Let's walk around and see what else is around angel." he suggests as you nod before you both thank the stall owner and walk away with your hands linked.
Looking around more amongst the various crowds, you notice a long line of children hand in hand with their families waiting for their pictures with santa and a group of Christmas carolers performing as by passers left small donations in their box in front for the children's home.
Wrapping your arms around Sunghoon's arm tightly for the tinier bit of warmth you can't help but realise how despite how evidently cold it is, everyone seemed so happy being with their loved ones on this wonderful night.
"Oh there's an ice rink here, wanna go skating for a bit before heading home?" sunghoon asks looking over the few people skating around as Christmas music blasted through the speakers around the rink.
"Let's do it! If you leave me on the ice to show off at the centre again, I swear I'm leaving you and getting off the ice." you warn your boyfriend reminding him of the last time you both went ice skating.
Chuckling, Sunghoon raises his hands up surrendering as he nods at your statement making sure to adjust your white fluffy earmuffs covering your ears, "Okay okay, I won't, now let's go, I'll make sure to stay beside you the whole time love."
Sitting down on a nearby bench, Sunghoon goes over to grab you both a pair of skating boots as he knelt in front of you helping you put on your skates before making sure to secure the laces tightly not seeming to notice the light redness on your cheeks and ears as you blushed at his sweet gesture before doing the same for his own boots.
Reaching his hand out to yours, he intertwines your fingers with his and leads you both onto the ice as you both carefully slid on.
It was no secret you were no pro at ice skating unlike your boyfriend, but you'd went out ice skating enough with him to be comfortable on the ice but it was still a bit nerve wracking whenever you'd lose your balance and fall right on your bottom sometimes.
Holding both of your hands in his, Sunghoon skillfully yet cautiously skated backwards as he lead you both towards the centre making sure to maintain his eyes on you. Catching his eyes on you, you shy away and clear your throat looking down focusing on moving on the ice.
"We've been together for the past year and you still get shy whenever we make eye contact." he cheekily calls you out making you tsk.
"Why I can't help it when I have an insanely good looking boyfriend who makes me nervous." you blurt out without a second thought immediately regretting your choice of words already feeling Sunghoon's smile grow bigger.
"You think I'm good looking? I mean to be fair we've always know that, but insanely good looking, wow, well would you look at that." he responds raking a hand through his hair that had fallen over his face as you both moved around the ice at your own slow pace.
"Maybe I shouldn't have said anything at all, I just inflated your already overgrown ego." you retort turning the opposite direction to skate away from your boyfriend.
Gliding across the ice with ease, Sunghoon wrapped his arms around your waist as you felt his chest on your back and he laid his head on your shoulder still carefully skating with you.
"Big ego and all, you still love me~" he says as if stating the obvious (which he was but you didn't want to give him another ego booster).
"I'm so happy we get to spend today like this. Our first Christmas together officially." he says moving from his place behind you sliding with ease and stood in front of you.
Looking up at your boyfriend who had been towering above you, a sudden white flake lands on the tip of your nose and Sunghoon who noticed looks up as more snow continues falling from the sky.
"It's snowing, yay!" you say with more excitement clapping before cupping your hands as a few flakes land in your palms.
Looking up once again, you catch your boyfriend's gaze on yours and you couldn't help but think about how incredibly lucky you felt to be with someone like him. I mean you weren't lying when you said how insanely handsome he was but it never not left you amazed how ethereal Sunghoon really was all the time.
Slowly reaching for his dark brown hair which was now decorated with white little snow flakes, you brush a loose strand out of his face letting your warm hand rest on his cheek as he leans into your delicate touch.
Meeting your eyes, Sunghoon couldn't help but notice how your eyes were filled with nothing but love and warmth making his heart melt during this intimate moment.
Sunghoon's hand finds it's way over the one on his cheek as his other cold hand holds your contrastingly warmer hand in his. Leaning into you, his soft plump lips finally meet yours slowly moving in sync as you both shared a passionate kiss in the middle of the ice rink as the snow continued to fall gracefully from the sky.
Slowly pulling away, your eyes flutter open meeting Sunghoon's gaze as he places a gentle kiss to the back of your palm of the hand that had rested on his face
"Merry Christmas princess." he tells you as you feel your cheeks heat up for the nth time today at the newly profound nickname as he looks at you with nothing but adoration with his thumb brushing against your skin to try provide some warmth.
"Merry Christmas my prince."
Just when you thought Christmas couldn't get any better, what more could you have asked for.

Note: Hey. It's fourteen years since the first appearance of Amy Farrah Fowler, or Fluff Crawlspace if you will. I wrote a thing. I hope you enjoy it. This is not Amy Farrah Fowler enough, but it's what I have. It's cute.
“Go, Leonard,” Sheldon yelled from his spot in the stands. He actually had no idea if his son was anywhere close to scoring, but he usually cheered the boy on any time he go close to the goal. Sheldon didn't understand much of the game beyond what he picked up from watching NHL games with Leonard (which was really playing on his phone while the game played in the background). It didn't really matter. Amy reminded him that he needed to at least try to take interest in his son's hobbies. This was him trying.
“Daddy, I'm cold,” a little voice said from beside him.
“Oh no,” Sheldon said playfully. This was a common complaint from his daughter. She was too used to the California sun to want to spend so many of her Saturdays at the ice rink. She was bundled up in a jacket and gloves, but sometimes they just weren't enough.
Sheldon took off his hockey jersey and pulled it on over his daughter's head and over her arms. It was comically large on her small frame, but it should help keep her warm. Still, he knew that he would probably be taking her to the snack stand for a cup of hot chocolate before the game was over.
Sheldon picked up his daughter and pulled her onto his lap, and wrapped his arms around her. This was more for him that for her. Without the jersey, he was a little cold himself. Still, his little girl leaned into his chest and looked back down at her book.
“What are you reading?” Sheldon said quietly into her ear.
“Mommy's favorite,” she said proudly as she showed him the cover. It was an ancient and beat up, but well loved copy of The Long Winter. Amy had gotten her old set of The Little House on the Prairie books from her own mother about a month ago, and had promptly handed them over as long as the little girl promised to take good care of them. So far, she had done an excellent job.
Sheldon couldn't believe how much he enjoyed watching his children become actual humans. It seemed like no time since they had both been little blobs that just drank milk, pooped, and slept all day. And yet, somehow they had both grown into real people with interests all their own.
Sometimes he could see the little pieces of himself and Amy in them. Other times, he could see Georgie, Missy, his mother, his father, Meemaw, Pop Pop, and even his uncle Stumpy once or twice. People his children had never even met had wormed their way in. And on occasion, that drove Sheldon absolutely crazy. Other times, he didn't mind so much. He loved all of those people for a reason, so it wasn't bad to see them show up in his children. Except for Leonard's inexplicable habit of saying “ain't” after one week with his Uncle Georgie.
“Daddy, can I have a snack?”
“She will ruin her dinner,” Amy reminded Sheldon without even looking away from the game. It was getting intense, but it was at the other goal, so Sheldon wasn't as invested. He knew he wouldn't miss a goal from Leonard.
“Come on. Just a hot chocolate?” Sheldon asked his wife. His daughter didn't ever have to try to convince her mother to do anything. She had Sheldon so wrapped around her little finger that he did it for her.
“One hot chocolate. And bring me one too,” Amy agreed. It was chilly in here after all.
“And maybe some popcorn,” Sheldon muttered.
“No,” Amy said.
“I can't hear you,” Sheldon said as he was already walking away. He heard everything his wife said, but he wanted to spoil the girl a little anyway. He realized that his hand was empty, so he turned back.
“Coming, Mary?” Sheldon asked as he reached out his hand toward her.
Sheldon's daughter ran to catch up to her father and placed her small hand in his. He knew there were a limited number of days left that she would be willing to hold his hand, and he would not let go until that day came.

ᥫ᭡ old nicknames and quick byes.
﹕─┈ pairings ( Estella Hughes oc! X Ex! Juraj Slafkovský )
au masterlist - you can find everything under #👩🏻‍🎨 ͡ ꒱ Stella Hughes!
˖ ་ 💭 roro’s notes ( this is just a short little blurb but it’s necessary for the future plot 🤭 I hope you guys enjoy !! wc; 1k )
Tumblr media
Stella slipped her phone into her back pocket and walked down the long hallway that led to the ice, ready to sit on the bleachers and watch as her brother and her friends practice for their upcoming match. Stella was hesitant at first to come along, but she was glad she decided to, she's had a great time so far.
Her eyes widen in surprise when she sees a very familiar person standing at the end of the hallway, looking out at the ice. Stella’s quiet steps become faster as she calls out his name, her tone was filled with confusion but happiness nonetheless “Juraj?”
The said boy quickly looks away from the ice and turns around at the sound of the very familiar and very much missed voice. His arms fell at his side in shock at the sight in front of him, standing a few feet in front of him was a smiling stella.
“Stella” he whispered her name in shock, his palms immediately became clammy and the smile on her lips made his heart feel like it was going to burst out of his chest. The feelings never left. He cleared his throat and wiped his palms on his jeans as he took a few steps towards her to meet her halfway “Oh wow, uh hi”
Stella smiled and stood on her tiptoes as she threw her arms around his shoulders for a hug, her face pressed against his chest. Juraj froze for a moment from her touch, but he was quick to wrap his arms around her waist and pull her closer. The smell of her signature perfume and having her so close was almost too much for him. He had to stop himself from frowning when she pulled away from the hug far too soon and took a step back from him, his heartstrings pulled in sadness of her being so close but so far.
“I was really hoping that i could see you before the game” Stella confesses with a small smile, having to tilt her head a little to look up at him. Her words were genuine, she really did want to see him, she just felt awkward about texting him and asking for them to meet up, especially with how distant he's been lately.
Little did she know that the only reason he was pulling back was because his feelings for her only seemed to get stronger, and he really didn't want to overstep and ruin things even more. He found himself being surprised by her words, he expected her to be upset or at least a little awkward, but no, she still looked at him with that pretty smile of hers “Really?”
“Yeah, it's been so long since we last saw each other, how have you been?” Stella asked as she moved to stand closer to the rink, leaning against the rink shielding.
“Oh, I've been good, yeah really good” Juraj’s words come out rushed as he leans against the shielding as well, trying to come off as calm and collected while his stomach was filled with butterflies, he didn't know what to do with his awkward hands, so he just fidgeted with the end of his sleeves. Stella raised her eyebrow at his strange behavior, and he was quick to keep the conversation going “And you, how have you been?”
“I've been pretty good as well, it's nice to get out of Michigan for a little bit, i fear i was going to go crazy if i had to stay at my dorm one more day” she really missed traveling, and she was so happy to have her finals over and the summer to start. Yes, she missed her boyfriend, but being with her brother and her friends traveling was a much-needed break for her.
Juraj opens his mouth, but his words are caught in his throat at the sound of someone shouting her name, he watches as she turns around and looks at the ice. Standing by the benches was a smiling and waving Ryan Leonard, he was the one to call her over. Juraj held in his sigh of disappointment when she shouted back “be right there!”
Stella turned back to face him and stood up straight, Juraj following in tow. She gave him a sorry smile, sad to have their conversation stop. “Well, that's my cue, I'll see you around?”
“Yeah, I'll see you around hviezda” the nickname for her split out before he could stop himself, and he was worried that it would have made her uncomfortable, but she just smiled and gave him a small smile as he took a step back, they said their quick byes and she watched as he started to walk down the long hallway, away from her.
“Hey Juraj” Stella called out before he walked off too far. He stopped walking and turned around to face her “Yeah?”
“Don't be a stranger, okay?” Stella smiled nervously as she tilted her head slightly as she gave him a small nod, stuffing her hands in the front pockets of her jeans. Memories of them laughing and cuddling in his bed as she tried to teach him the meaning of the said saying, played in his head. Juraj cleared his throat and stuffed his hands in the front pocket of his hoodie, a small chuckle leaving his lips before he replies, his accent strong “Ditto”
A small giggle left her lips, and she shook her head and watched as he left her sight. She let out a heavy sigh and looked away from the hallway when he was gone, a small pinch of sadness in her heart. She made her way towards the other side of the rink where the bench and her waiting friends were, trying to push away that small feeling of sadness at the realization that their friendship would never be the same.
Neither of them is aware of the person hiding behind the bleachers, looking down at their camara and the pictures they took of them.

"So it's not completely empty today but I can assure you she won't pay attention to you as she's busy practicing for the olympiques" One of the worker there told the small group of boys.
The boys including pedri, Gavi, Ansu, Alejandro, Ferran, Eric and Dembélé . They figured since they had a little break before national duties they would do something fun together. So here they were, at Barcelona's local ice rink.
"That's okey, thank you so much" Ansu thanked the man before he left, they went to put on the skates and made their way onto the rink.
As soon as pedri laid his eyes on the girl, he couldn't look away. She looked gorgeous, her long, beautiful hair flowing in the wind as her feet danced on the ice.
He was so lost in his own little world he hadn't noticed his friends had already made their friends at on the ice.
"Pepi! You coming!?"
"Yeah, yeah" He breathed out making his way onto the ice.
The girl had yet to notice the group of boys that was goofing around on the ice.
It wasn't until the canarian boy ran into her zone that she noticed them.
But it was too late pedri had already ran into her making her fall on top of him.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean too, I don't know what I'm doing honestly" pedri apologized immediately, embarrassed by his actions.
"It's okey, don't worry about it. Happens" She laughed a little, feeling her face heat up from embarrassment.
She quickly got up before helping him up as well.
"I'm pedri by the way" He reached his hand out for her too shake it.
"I'm y/n" She smiled shaking his hand.
************************************
"You've been going there constantly! You never hangs out with us anymore!" Alejandro complained to pedri who was currently on his way too his car that was Parked outside the training ground.
"You'll survive without me" pedri shrugged not really listening too them.
"Oh come on pedrooooo" Ansu whined.
"Oh come on guys, let him be with his girlfriend" Gavi smirked knowing the exact reason why he had been going too the rink constantly.
"Girlfriend!?" His teammates yelled surprised.
"Gavi!!" Pedri hit the younger midfielders chest earning a groan from him.
"What girlfriend??" Ferran asked
"The girl pedri basically fell on top off when we were ice skating" Gavi teased with his familiar smirk.
"She's not my girlfriend cabrón” Pedri scoffed.
“Yeah right” Gavi laughed.
“No way, she wants to hang with you! You have no game mano!” Eric exclaimed making the others laugh.
“Oh shut up, besides all the girls you follow on Insta, none of them wants to be with you, so shut up” Pedri snapped back.
(Im sorry Eric, I love you, it’s just for the story😭🫶🏼)
“Hey!” “That’s rude!” Eric rolled his eyes as the little group oooe’d at them.
“Okey but she can join us?” Dembélé suggested.
“I doubt she wants too hang out with you Imbéciles. Besides she has a medal to win” (assholes)
“I forgot she was a professional at that” Ansu hummed.
“When’s the competition?” He asked Pedri who was smiling thinking of the girl.
“Tomorrow, so she needs all the time she can get”
“Can we go!???” Alejandro asked excitedly, he really wanted too see the girl Pedri had been hanging out with constantly.
“I mean I’m already going, but you guys have too figure that out yourself” Pedri shrugged slightly, not really wanting them there. He wanted too be with her alone.
“Oh come on! Can’t you get us in?” Ferran groaned
“No” He answered simply.
“Whyyyy!???-“
“I’ve already fixed it” Gavi announced cutting Eric off.
“What do you mean fixed it?” Dembélé asked.
“I’ve got us tickets, but some of you have too sit away from us, there were barely any seats left” He explained.
“You’re a genius!” Eric slapped the back of Gavi’s head.
__________________________
“You’ll nail it, I know it. You’re the best okey?” Pedri assured the girl who was quite nervous, this was her second time being in the Olympics.
She was 18 so she had competed once when she was 17. She got second place then.
“What if I fall or something?” She questioned him as her hairstylist was finishing up her hair.
“If you fall, which I know you won’t, you get right back up again. You always do okey?” His hands reached to lightly rest on her shoulder and rubbing soothing circles to make her calm down a little.
“Okey” She nodded letting out a breath.
“Good, vamos, show them who you are” He smiled, helping her up on her feet.
“Thanks pepi” She smiled giving him a light kiss on his cheek.
“Y/n! You have to go” one of the workers told her making her nod.
Pedri followed her down to the rink where one of the competitor were finishing up.
She was completely lost in her own thoughts when she heard the announcer.
“Y/n sainz! 18 years old and representing her home country Spain! Give her a warm welcome!”
(Don’t bully me, I don’t know how that works😭)
Pedri gave her a warm and reassuring smile.
She quickly hugged him, making sure not to bury her face in his chest like she usually would, to not ruin her make up.
“Break a leg” He smiled as she let go making her way onto the ice.
“Wait! Not literally though!” He yelled after her, making her laugh.
He quickly found his place besides his friends and watched the girl as she did what she was best at. His friends were doing the exact same. Not only did she look breathtaking, but she was good at what she was doing.
Pedri couldn’t keep his eyes off her, like quite literally. With every move she did, his eyes followed in a heart beat. She was so enchanting.
Before he even knew it, everyone was clapping and she was making her way off the rink.
“Yo! Pedri! Your girl is tale-“
Ferran couldn’t even finish his sentence before Pedri was running down too her. His friends just laughed at him.
“¡Te lo dije! ¡Te lo dije, joder!” He yelled pulling her into his arms as she had just taken of her skates. (I told you! I fucking told you!)
She laughed at him before hugging him back.
“Anything can still happen pepi, I haven’t won” She chuckled softly
“Not yet, but you will, it’s obvious!”
“Don’t jinx it González” She warned as the two let go of the hug
“Yeah, yeah” he rolled his eyes playfully making her hit his arm lightly.
***
“Hey, do you guys think our kid will be more into football or figure skating?” Pedri asked randomly as they were waiting for the judges too announce the winner.
“Pedri what?” They all looked at the canarian confused as fuck.
“You guys aren’t even dating!?”
“Oh we will, don’t worry” Pedri assured him.
“But like what do you guys think?”
“Football”
“Figure skating”
“It’s too early!”
“What the fuck?”
“Cooking”
“Me”
The answers came everywhere.
“Who said ‘me’?” Pedri asked disgusted.
“Eric” everyone pointed at him.
“Not me” Eric defended
“You perv! I’m gonna get y/n too cut your throat with her skates” Pedri hit Eric’s chest.
“I was joking, you ass”
That’s when the announcer started talking none sense, too them at least, that was until they announced the third place.
“Second place goes too…Dimitri Muranóvic!”
(Completely random name)
Pedri crossed his fingers for the girl.
“First place, goes too the youngest competitor this year! Y/n Sainz!”
She jumped up in surprise, she honestly didn’t expect that that.
As she made her way up on the podium Pedri let out a breath of relief as he cheered on her.
Later that night, Pedri decided too drop the question as he drove her home.
“So…what do you say? Me, you on Friday, I’ll pick you up 6 o’clock?” He was quite confident she would say yes so he wasn’t really nervous.
“It’s a date” She smiled leaning over and kissing his cheek.
“Thanks for the ride pepi” She smiled softly reaching into her pockets too get her house keys.
She furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
“Everything okey y/n/n?”
“Yeah, yeah. Two seconds” She chuckled nervously.
She checked her bags, before remembering she gave them too her coach.
“Joder” She sighed, she just wanted too go too bed, she was exhausted. (Fuck)
“What is it?” Pedri asked seeing the exhausted look on her face.
“I forgot my keys, I gave them too my coach” She said.
Pedri thought for a little, would it be that bad too let her sleep at his place. ‘Nah fuck it’ he thought
“You can sleep at my place, I’m sure my brother won’t mind” He offered, trying too not sound too excited.
“I don’t wanna bother you guys”
“You won’t, trust me. Just please? Besides where else are you gonna go?” He asked her as she realized she didn’t have that many friends and the few she had, didn’t live in Barcelona, and the ones that did had boyfriends.
“Are you sure?”
“Positive” He smiled.
***
“Thanks pedri, for everything” She smiled, he had offered her a shower and fed her and just everything a girl could imagine.
She breathed in the scent of his shirt that smelled so much like him. It was so comforting.
“It’s no problem corazón” He didn’t even realize the pet name that slipped out.
She smiled as a little blush formed across her cheeks.
He followed her too his bedroom which was oddly clean, despite being a footballers bedroom. She excepted it too stink like sweat everywhere, but it didn’t. It smelled like him.
“I’ll go sleep on the couch, I don’t have any guest bedrooms”
“What? No,no,no,no,no,no” “I’ll take the couch, you sleep here. It’s your bedroom after all” She quickly denied his offer of sleeping in his bed, she didn’t want him too be uncomfortable on the couch.
“Trust me, you don’t wanna sleep on the couch, fer’s snores like a hombre loco”
She laughed a little.
“That’s fine I’m used too my brothers snores anyways”
“Yeah,Nope, there’s no way I’m letting you sleep on the couch” “not only would my family kill me if they knew I let a pretty girl sleep on the couch but I would too. So…”
Before she even knew it, he picked her up making her squeal, not expecting him too do that.
He carefully threw her on the bed and tucked her in, basically trapping her inside the covers.
“Hey!” “That’s very rude of you González”
He laughed and shrugged.
“Buenas noches, mi campeón” He smiled kissing her head softly. Despite them not dating, they were quite affectionate. (Good night, my champion)
“No, wait Pedri?”
“Yeah?”
“Can’t you sleep here too then?” “I really don’t want you too sleep on the couch” She said as he smiled at her request.
“I don‘y wanna make you uncomfortable or anything” He said, and he wasn’t lying.
“You won’t. I really want you too”
He smiled slightly and nodded his head before telling him he would just change real quick.
Usually he just slept in either his boxers or his shorts because of the warmth. But today he put on a shirt as well as some simple shorts. Only because he didn’t want to make her uncomfortable.
“Isn’t that really hot?” She asked seeing him coming out from his closet.
“A little, but it’s fine” He answered.
“If it’s because of me you’re wearing a shirt, I don’t mind. All the times we’ve fell asleep on FaceTime, not once have you worn a shirt” She laughed a little
“You sure it’s okey?”
She quickly nodded her head.
“Besides if we’re going on a date soon, then this will be more than just sleeping in the same bed” She shrugged her shoulders making Pedri laugh and shake his head.
He pulled his shirt off and threw it on his gaming chair. She tried not too stare too much so he wouldn’t notice, but of course luck wasn’t on her side.
“Eyes up here corazón” He chukled seeing her hiding her face in his pillow
He got in on the other side of the bed and pulled some of the covers on him as well.
“Buenas noches pepi” She yawned, giving him a soft smile as the two laid face too face. (Good Night)
“Buenas noches preciosa” he smiled as the two closed their eyes. (Good night gorgeous)
The word thing both of them were so tired, but none of them could sleep. Pedri could feel her inching closer and closer too him so as an instinct he wrapped his arm around her waist too pull her closer too him and caressed the back of her head.
She smiled tiredly, burying her face into his bare chest, resting one of her arms across his torso.
He gave her one last kiss on her forehead before the two drifted off too dreamland.
(This is not edited, so please don’t mind if there is any spelling mistakes❤️ Thank you for reading!)
