Ok so life update I fly back for break Friday and I’ve got 3 total assignments left 2 of them being finals and I don’t get to come back until the 5th🫠
#I’ll say whatever about this state I hate it. but I really don’t love going home and living with my parents#especially since I’m gonna be at work 99% of the time#which yay money bc I burn through money not working in college but still#oh and my situationship girl? still very much so that. I’m not totally convinced we’re not dating but it’s sure something#we make dinner together like every night. i stay at her apartment on weekends. she brought me flowers#also she wants to visit me over the summer which would be super fun since I live in such a big city and she’s from the middle of nowhere#the only downside to that is my dad would literally like her so much id have to marry her on the spot#it’s so funny bc she’s the complete opposite of me#she works out girl is in the gym all the time she going into being a physical trainer and studies so hard all the time she loves spicy foods#and she listens to country music#I’m like some couch bound gamer who rarely leaves my apartment#literally one time she goes. we would probably not work as a couple we have nothing in common. and I’m like hm. she’s not wrong#and I go wait! i like to bake you like to eat. she’s also really good at flirting and as a chronic flirt that’s very fun#also no apparently I don’t hate kissing I was just dumb about it and didn’t know what I was doing#so yeah! I’m having fun! it’s also really funny bc I know a lot of her friends and immediately upon learning we were a thing they go#oh. so they’re sleeping together. this is the only option for these two. and we weren’t! but it was still really funny#one of her closest friends unfortunately hates me bc I broke up with that one guy and started talking to her#but he’s in love with her. still. and the guy I broke up with is the guy who wants to die so bad#so he blames me bc ‘he can put himself in his shoes’#like. the guy already wasn’t doing so hot before he and I dated. and I was only there for like a week. bestie is very jealous#idk if any of her other friends blame me. he has just vocally said I’m the problem on several occasions#as if I have not historically been the only one who could talk bestie off a cliff and to stay alive#anyways. I’m sad I don’t get to see her over break but god knows I’ll be getting late night phone calls#soup talks

she/they bi trans butch lesbian nick
bc. nick dresses like a butch lesbian
pins: x x x / ritual 6 / ID in alt text
some hcs:
nick is very much the sort of "i am a woman because i'm a lesbian" sort of gender
not nonbinary, just likes she/they pronouns
she's out to her family, and to her girlfriend (and her girlfriend's dad) and that's it. coming out is hard. it means people asking questions and changing perceptions and losing friends. there's also just, like, so many steps. there's too many things you need to do. hell. hell. what if they just didn't -> it also might mean getting switched to the girls' lacrosse team, and like, nick is all for trans inclusivity in sports, but like, these are her guys. and also the team she knows how to work with. really, they ought to make it co-ed
nick is the handsomest butch princess at the princess dance party <3 -> alternatively, nick attending a short-notice princess dance party in her normal clothes + a pink feather boa and plastic tiara for that nuanced gender experience
nick's little sister is the coolest kid in her class because she has a "secret sister" -> adults assume this is an imaginary friend. kids assume she's a superspy like kim possible. nick's sister doesn't confirm or deny anything because she's good at secrets
carrie likes having "girls' nights" and painting nick's nails while they gossip and vent. nick doesn't get any particular gender euphoria from having painted nails, but it is gender affirming in the "this is a thing girls do together" sense
nick's very happy with their gender presentation, actually
being only out to carrie is part of why they stay in their on/off relationship for so long; nick doesn't want to lose being able to go over to carrie's house and just vibe knowing that all 2 people there know she's a girl. she really doesn't want to have to come out to more people -> nick liked hanging out with carrie more before they were dating. but there's no going back now! -> it's not like you can just go back to being friends with your ex or anything!!
nick, posessed by caleb: well THAT's definitely not my gender. nice to have those lingering doubts handily done away with. also, i would like to not be posessed please
nick is now significantly less okay with being constantly misgendered by 99% of everyone they know! -> cause yk. being possessed by a transphobic ghost pretending to be you for months. it has what one might call An Effect
after all the caleb stuff, nick ends up hanging out with the whole ghost band gang more & makes trans friends for the first time! -> they also learn that you can, actually, go back to being friends with your ex, if you're willing to like, have an honest conversation and talk it out
with all the openly trans people in the ghost band gang (flynn, luke, willie, reggie in particular as a fellow transfem) nick feels a lot more comfortable and undaunted by the idea of coming out to them since, like, they already know what's up -> nick's like what's up i'm a she/they bi lesbian and flynns like damn same and then they high five
bc she's now regularly hanging out with a whole bunch of people who know her pronouns and thus hearing them used with some regularity, she starts to get used to it for the first time :) -> downside: now it feels bad when people don't use them. that plus yk. The Caleb Thing means that now they kinda really want to be out, instead of relegating All That to a nebulous future where it's easy and not complicated. Oh Fuck That's So Much Shit To Do. luckily, she has her friends by her side :)
julie and flynn (and luke and alex and reggie and willie and the molinas) help motivate & support her to actually go through with coming out instead of just continuing-not-to-but-now-it-feels-bad -> and help her remember & deal with all the Billion Fucking Steps and Paperwork. executive dysfunction is easier with a friend<3
when nick comes out publicly, she literally just starts wearing pronoun pins. no other changes in appearance whatsoever. she already dressed exactly how she liked :)
when she gets her name legally changed, she just changes it to nick, bc changing your legal name to a nickname of your deadname rules

Hello! I really enjoy your page and your metas/thoughts about resident evil. I see that Leon is your favorite character (he’s mine too :D) and you may have said this before but I was wondering what you love most about him and what about his character really stands out and calls to you??
hey there! ah I'm happy to hear that you're enjoying my random ramblings :D i know my responses and thoughts are always more just flow-of-mind ramblings than anything very well constructed, but it's so nice to hear that you've gotten something out of them :)
ahh and yes, Leon is my absolute favorite, has been ever since I played RE4 over fifteen years ago haha. it's really hard to put into words everything I love about him, but I will try.
what first drew me to him was the dumb jokes, I admit, and I still love them so damn much. it's a coping mechanism for him for sure, but he's such a Dad™ and every time he fires off a dumb joke it just makes me so very happy. "Where's everyone going? Bingo?" is like the best opening sequence line ever anywhere :'D and "Your right hand comes off?" ahh classics. I could quote like two dozen things, easily.
but obviously it goes way, way beyond jokes. the main thing I love about him must be how he cares, so much. he would literally put his life on the line for anyone, up to and including people he's barely jus met, and it's a quality that not a lot of people have. of course we can also talk about how being too self-sacrificing is an actual issue, i'm not trying to belittle the downsides to it. but I adore how he has such a good heart, how he genuinely wants to do good in the world and keep as many people safe as he can. he literally signed off his life to save a little girl he barely knew!
and like it's a small moment but can we talk about how outraged he was when he found out that Saddler was only using Krauser? he was legit angry on Krauser's behalf! and that was after Krauser had tried very hard to kill him, after Krauser had betrayed his trust and turned sides. and he still found it in himself to care about him! even all shipping-goggles aside I think that tells a lot about his character.
or like, Helena? an absolute stranger? he follows her anyway, he helps her out anyway, he goes through literal hell only because she asks him to come with him. (and yes it's a little more nuanced than that but let me just simplify so i won't write a damn novel here :'D) and how he reassures her, multiple times, during the course of the happenings. there's legit no reason for him to be that nice but he is, anyway.
Leon is so determined to do the right thing, and he has such a strong moral compass, and like. the moment in RE2 remake when he says he joined the force to help people, after they've met Kendo outside the gun shop? that always gets me all teary-eyed. he's so full of conviction, so full of fire to make things right and help people! or how he insists on trying to save Marvin? another tearjerker :'D
or in RE4? the way he looks out for Ashley? of course it is his job to save her. but there's no obligation to be so nice to her. from the first moment when they meet he's patient and kind with her, and even when she lashes out at him he never wavers in it. or Luis? they legit meet only a handful of times and when Luis dies, Leon is heartbroken. he cares so much, and he lets people in so damn fast.
or, hell, in Damnation the little fistbump he shares with JD is legit one of my favorite moments ever. there too he gets attached to the people so fast. and like, Buddy tries to kill him and he still helps him, because he thinks that everyone is worth saving. or Shen May in ID? she tries to kill him too, and he helps her anyway, saves her anyway.
it could also be counted as a big problem how he gets attached to people so damn fast, sure :'D and it certainly creates him troubles and makes things unnecessarily hard for him sometimes, but it also shows how big his heart is and I just. love that. i do think that letting someone in properly would be a lot harder for him but he just cares for people so freely. someone should take care of him in return, goddamnit.
and I love how he's such a quick thinker? I've always had a soft spot for smart characters and damn, this boy is smart. if you don't want to take it from me, then trust Ada, she says Leon is "practically a genius" :'D but honestly there are so many little moments when he notices small clues, or moments when he acts in a split second after something unexpected happens, and I just love how fast his mind works.
idk this is getting way too long and every time I think I've said everything something else pops into my mind :'D I just love him very, very much. and this isn't to say he's perfect and has no flaws lmao obviously not but...
he is just legit such a good guy.

@alenoah and @icedancerhell did this and ik im definitely going to be cancelled for my taste but explanations below
prince of egypt: oh my gfucking god . bro the music. the ANIMATION. the story too like obviously its based on a religious tale but i mean the way its portrayed and interpreted and how it all comes across was so on point. and did i mention THE FUCKGIN MUSIC dude i would try to sing every song when i was a kid and i think attempting that literally improved my range growing up
shrek: ok when ur a kid literally all u want is to feel mature and cool. shrek was that in an hour and 30 minutes. all the adult humor. and even the shit that would fly over your head somehow still always registered as so funny. every line is burned into my brain bc i watched it so much it was so fuckgin funny and entertaining and the storyline was so depthful and important. shrek for president
sinbad: oh yeah he makes me wanna sin. Bad
rise of the guardians: oooohhg the plot was so cool and intriguing,,, the designs were so unique,,,, also i actually used to. cosplay jack frost when i was a teen osfkjskjfhksdjf i might have like One picture around here somewhere,
over the hedge: every character is perfectly designed and perfectly voiced and the humor was so good. me at like 8 years old watching hammy the squirrel drink coffee and frolic around in a slowed down world was the peak of comedy
madagascar: its just such a classic. another movie where every line is burned into my cerebellum bc i had it on dvd. id say out of this whole list this close to number one. idk where to even begin with how stupidly hilarious it was to me
httyd: lbr who didnt just do a full [lisa simpson face] when you got to the end and hiccup had lost part of a leg. the whole movie had this aura that it was like not tethered down somehow while still being great family friendly media. also im ace sexual and UHH big dragon
--
antz: unironically i think it deserves so much more than it gets. the anti war messages are great the designs are cool and it goes back into the shrek maturity territory where they get to say CUSS WORDS. p much my only qualm is that woody allen had to be there 😔😔😔
shark tale: ok dont cancel me but i really love the plot actually. i mostly love the mafia shark boy that dresses as a dolphin but even the will smith fish crash-and-burn fame hubris thing while annoying at times was rly intriguing. and the designs are the kind of thing that as a kid i loved but as an adult i do. struggle , w ith, a bit, but overall funny and entertaining story
el dorado: the music slaps so fuckgin hard thats another example of me tryna sing cartoon music to an embarrassing degree. also the Colorse . the designs . and the humor osjfsjdf the only downside is just a personal vibe bc the best friend conflict storylines make me anxious sometimes lol
flushed away: oh my god dont at me. some of the characters are so fuckgin annoying and some of the humor is just so much but i rly did like the worldbuilding and storyline. stupid posh ass rat was rly cool actually. also yet another mafia/gang violence plot in childrens media why is that so funny when ur a kid god
spirit: GREAT MUSIC GREAT STORY! i think the way the story goes like, its Better to be told with regular horses and narration rather than talking horses,,,, but my dumb whimsical child ass just didnt latch onto that style as much as the talking animal movies
shrek 2: rly good tbh all the new characters introduced are interesting and entertaining to watch, but i mostly remember it for i need a hero and human shrek. didnt rly hit the same mark as the first :/
httyd 2: another great movie with another great twist but it almost felt like too much at once for my little brain to handle. overloaded me with gay emotion
--
megamind: i love everything it stands for i just never saw it until like a year ago so its not that dear to my heart
kung fu panda: not my style of humor, i saw it once and can hardly remember it but i feel like the plot was wholesome and cute
the croods: so funny and good, ive seen it many times actually. but some of the humor just isnt my thing (its, well, crude, which also took me like 5 yrs to get that joke,)
bee movie: was pleasantly surprised the first time i watched it??? it was pretty good and it did kinda make fun of itself so idk why its so cringe to ppl. barry b benson entertained me unironically
chicken run: i saw it once when i was very young and it just didnt resonate with me also claymation most of my childhood terrified me
wallace and gromit: same as chicken run
--
entire never saw it tier: dotn hate me i just dont have a lot of time on my hands. i know i will be oppressed into watching peabody and sherman within the week and i accept the charges
--
monsters vs. aliens: someone got it for me on dvd and i hated it so much. its not even that bad its just a me thing like for some reason the part where the lady becomes a giant during her wedding or w/e was just like. the worst nightmare i could imagine i hated it and it made me scared to get married bc i thought that could happen to me. also none of the main cast is charming to me one of thems a bug and i have a bug phobia so i could never rly get thru it im sorry but i coudltn do it
madagascar 2: alex backstory was kinda good but the rest was forgettable for me
madagascar 3: visually kinda cool but. :/// felt really off compared to the previous movies, like an obvious cash grab. i mean who could forget the constant polka dot afro circus song advertisements
shrek 3: again mostly just remember it for the frog dad dying ,,,
shrek 4: i only saw it like 5 months ago for the first time. fiona being a warrior in an alternate timeline or w/e (if that was real and not a fever dream) was the only semi tolerable part for me
penguins of madagascar: the first few minutes with them as babies was cute the rest i physically could not keep my attention on. i dont remember anything else im sorry

Looking back on Ireland
Where to begin? Two weeks ago Kiana, Janae and I left for Ireland. We covered a LOT of ground in two weeks! It wasn’t exactly the start we were hoping for; Kiana was barely finished her go with bronchitis and I had just finish my last day of antibiotics for a chest cold that Sunday. It was a seven hour direct flight to Ireland. Our plan was to arrive into Dublin around 11AM Monday. There, we would meet up with our cousin Jessica McCluskey who was flying in from Toronto. Dublin airport isn’t very big, so when we landed, we were able meet up pretty quickly. Unfortunately, Jessica’s flight wasn’t as smooth as ours. Turns out that a seventeen year old Canadian traveling by herself is the perfect profile of an Irish terrorist. Customs questioned her for over an hour. Even after that, they put a limit on how long she was allowed to stay in the Country.
Anyway, we catch a bus from the airport out of Dublin to Belfast. Its a half-hour trek across town to our hostel. I will just put it at this: we were very happy to see those doors! When we went to check in, the receptionist asked for our ID’s. What we didn’t know when we booked this hostel was that they don’t allow minors to stay in public rooms, which was a problem, as Jessica is seventeen. The hostel would usually just move people around to give us a private room, but we arrived on the exact same night that the Foo Fighters (a popular band) were playing. So, of course every room was full, and that goes for every hostel in Belfast. So, now we don’t have a place to stay, we haven’t eaten since we left Calgary and we are looking at our next two weeks wondering what the heck we got ourselves into. The other thing was the way the receptionist had explained the whole underage issue made it sound like this was a law. Meaning the other three hostel we had booked would most likely have an issue with Jessica’s age as well. The icing on the top was we had no wifi. So we literally couldn’t do anything! The receptionist said he’d call his boss and see what he could do and miraculously the boss was willing to let it slide. He would let us stay so long as we didn’t do any drinking (which, of course, isn’t our thing anyway). So one hurtle down. Next was the issue that we needed to get some way to call our next hostels. Heading out, we manage to find a grocery store that sold SIM cards. Grabbing some food, we went back to try and figure out our next couple days. Of course, we couldn’t get ahold of any of the hostels, and all it said on their websites was that there was an age restriction with no detail on what that meant. Finally, Kiana manages to find the Hostel World’s (the app we use to book hostels) rules. They said that minors could only stay if there was an adult with them. So we just had to hope that that was everyone’s rule as well. Last thing was we needed to organize our tomorrow. The Hostel had a tour discount on but we needed to get pounds out – because, of course, with our luck, we had thought to bring Euro with us, but Northern Ireland is its own country within the British isle and carries a different currency. In the end, as we laid in our beds, I can’t say we were all that settled. If this was how all of Ireland was and if our start was to be any outlook on the rest of the trip, we most likely would end up leaving Ireland early.
The next day was better. We went on a bus tour to the Giant’s Causeway. It was a long day as all of us were suffering from jet-leg. We only had one full day in Belfast, so this was our day to see it if we wanted to. The bus stopped at a few places and funnily enough we ended up enjoying the first stop at Larry Bane more then the actual Causeway. It was known for this fisherman’s rope bridge the extends between two cliffs. You had to pay to walk it. Instead, we just went and sat at the base of the cliffs and enjoyed the warm weather and beautiful view. Once we got to the Giants Causeway, we went on our tour through each cove and all in all found the 9 pound we spent to be a bit of a waste. The Causeway itself was very cool, we just don’t really care about giants (the tour gave us myths, we wanted science and facts).
Our next day was more relaxed. We saw this massive museum - and when I say massive, I mean we spent almost three hours and did not even reach the fourth floor! Honestly, I think it was never ending – they’re just making more and more rooms full of the most bizarre things. It wasn’t even just one particular museum, it was EVERY kind museum artifacts put together. I mean they had a room completely dedicated to chemistry elements, people, like come on! Of course, if we would’ve let her, Janae would have just stayed there for her two weeks. But I, for one, have this thing called hunger that reminds me that this painting of a flower vase may be very pretty but it will not satisfy my needs. So we left.
Belfast was so unique to anything I had seen before. There was just so much age resting within the cobblestone streets. I have never seen so much brick in my life! And it wasn’t the fake brick we have back home, where they paint it to make it look better. No, this was iconic rusty red with all its beauty resting in its natural state. Looking at Ireland as a whole, Belfast really isn’t very old. I guess it was cool because it was the first. I will forever have Belfast as the first place I saw of all Europe. To me, that’s cool!
Our second day was also our last day in Belfast. We needed to catch our bus for 3:00, so we started looking for a café to spend our last bit of time in, before going back to the hostel, grabbing our packs, and making the half hour walk back across town. It was raining and as we passed this church, a woman offered us free pastries and free coffee if we came in, so of course we did. We ended up meeting this really nice girl a bit older than Kiana. We were so comfortable there, we stayed for much longer than anticipated just chatting with her. And as we left we all felt so filled. Its funny really, because now I look back and we had been there for two days, that’s it! Yet, we already felt drained. It reminded me a lot of how God calls us to be in community with each other. Yes, we are to bring the gospel to those in darkness, but I think, for myself at least, I forget how quickly my energy runs out. I think its just so comforting to realize that he calls us to go, but he also has created such an easy way to become renewed.
Next was Dromore: a small town out in the middle of nowhere. We stayed in an Airbnb in the country for two nights. Dromore is one of our highlights of Ireland. Even though we forgot to buy groceries before heading out and therefore lived off of cereal and one single-size bag of instant rice, it was quite a nice place. Out of the city, Ireland is home to so many different shades of green, rolling hills, and, above all, very genuine people. They say Canadians are nice, but I beg to differ. The amount of times over our two weeks that we had strangers help us for no other reason than because they wanted to is remarkable. However, Dromore was our first taste. The only downside to it all was that my chest cold returned just to remind me that swallowing can hurt. I would go into our adventures in Dromore further, but I will never finish this post if I do. So just trust me, it was crazy and beautiful and sort of mind blowing.
Our next stop was only for one night. We had decided to go far up north to Derry, basically for my dad. Thankfully, we had no issue with the hostel age restriction and took this as a very good sign that it wasn’t a law in all of Ireland. Derry is where my dad’s family originated from, and so he wanted us to go and find out more about our ancestry. To him, all you have to do is go to the Parish church and ask to look up William McCluskey in their records and magically everything will be written down there for us to read. I mean, it takes years for other people to find out about their ancestry, but no, the McCluskey name is enough for us. Lets just put it this way; Derry was really, really cool to see. It was actually old, and it was quaint and safe and probably another highlight of our stay. It, however, was not very informative. Dad gave us five names, five very generic names. The McCluskey’s may have been many things, but they were not very creative with names. I mean, when you think of Irish names your first five will most likely be them. There was William McCluskey, Patrick McCluskey and Charlie McCluskey, John McCluskey and Ralph McCluskey. Once again, I challenge you to find any info from those names. The other thing was, like most cities, there isn’t just one church. Derry had at least 3 Parish churches and all of them had had at least two fires that had burned some of their records. Let that sink in.
From Derry we headed south to Galway. A tip to any traveler doing a similar trek. This will be ONE of the longest bus ride of your life, and it will be expensive. My take on our lovely adventure is this: you are on a roller-coaster except its not just you on the track, there are people coming at you. This roller-coaster doesn’t just go up and down, it also goes side to side in a rocking-want-to-die sort of way. Plus, there is the every three minute - slam your head against the seat in front of you – gentle break to allow the other travelers to pass you by.
I assure you, you wont forget it.
Galway is known for its night life and therefore everything is a bit dirtier and all the more expensive. It was still very cool to see. Live music is a big thing in Ireland and we all really enjoyed walking through the cute streets and listening as every couple of blocks there was a change in genre and mood. Although it was only a couple of nights we enjoyed our time there. We had very good seafood and began to recognize a trend in small-sized food portions, which saddened everyone immensely.
From there, we left behind the city lights and headed to a small surfers' town named Lahinch, or maybe it was Lehinch, or Le Hinch, we didn’t really figure it out as even the store owners weren’t sure. This WAS the longest bus ride of my life. In actuality, when we got off the three hour ride I am sure I had lost at least two years of my life. You say I’m exaggerating, we’ll never know now will we? The town was on the coast and, had it not rained for 95% of our time there, it would have been a lot more fun. The one reason we went was to see the Cliffs of Moher. These were a definite highlight of mine. I would go into detail but I’m sure my mother will be reading and I would like her to still be alive when I get back. Just kidding mom! We were safe and stayed a mile away from the edge the entire time… Anyway, very cool – amazing, actually. Again, Lahinch was expensive!
Our last stop was most likely one of our favorite cities in Ireland. Originally, we weren’t going to see it, but it was recommended to us and we are really happy it was. Killarney is like the Amazon of Ireland. It was still fairly pricy, but there were a couple of places we found with some really good food. Plus, there were a lot of cafés (aka: the reason Kiana and I are on this trip). We were able to go to church here and thoroughly enjoyed the service. Somehow, we managed to land our stay on the same Sunday that a very very crucial football (or at least what they call football) match between Dublin and Kerry. The atmosphere of that game was so cool to experience even if we hadn’t had a clue how the game was played. Also, we let Kiana talk us into doing a 19 km trek to see these waterfalls. In her defense, it was only supposed to be a mere 14km, but we stopped and looked around these abbey ruins. During the marathon, Janae seems to have strained a tendon or something in her leg, and even now we are still trying to figure out how to get her around painlessly. From there it was to Dublin, straight thru to the airport and onto France.
In entirety, Ireland was for sure a perfect start to our trip. It was safe, clean, and beautiful. And as I look across the fields in France, I can attest that Ireland is remarkable in a completely unique way, standing apart from the rest Europe.
Well that's was long...

under read more are melinda’s halliwells headcanons!!
ok but melinda views phoebe as an evil pre-aiden situation. murdering someone? running away from its crimes? sacrificing everyone to save herself? YIKES!!! coward moves in melinda’s eyes. her entire future ruined because of her mothers half of the family. unfortunately, mel doesn’t get it till she follows into the same footsteps. definitely a no bueno. hates phoebe for setting up the path for darkness since melinda had no control.
PIPER IS A GREAT MOTHER! don’t get me wrong, i know in my main verse, piper is nonexistent in melinda’s life. realistically, in morality bites, it is the only universe piper even considered leaving her child behind. at the end of the day, in canon, phoebe would have never let her. it isn’t piper to abandon her family. she is the heart of the family because piper fights for it. drastic situations cause people to take drastic measures. leaving melinda behind to save her sister? it was difficult, but at least melinda would have her father and phoebe would still be alive if they escaped.
honestly melinda has a really bad habit of just…. speaking out her ass. she doesn’t think and just blurts everything out. truly not her finest quality yikes!!!
melinda loves her bad boys and girls. she loves when they give her trouble and is like severely addicted to them. they’re her weak spot and senses them when they’re like a mile away. it’s what gets her into her sticky situations all the time and like???? yikes terrible dating life.
melinda, due to those great whitelighter abilities, is able to speak multiple languages, both commonly and uncommonly known. it’s definitely comes as a surprise to others when she’s in school and hears people talking shit in a different language due to being related to phoebe halliwell, but ya know, gotta reciprocate that trash talk.
melinda talks a lot with her hands especially when she’s angry. that’s it. thnxs for coming to my ted talk.
melinda knows when she fucks up. she won’t deny or try to hide it. the downside? once she already knows she’s in trouble? she’ll keep on doing it. out pass curfew? looks like she’s staying out. stealing? well, there’s no return. secretly using magic and then getting caught? oh fuckin well!!! truth is, she is self destructive but is super clever when it comes to getting herself out of shitty situations.
elders can go fuck themselves!!! she has and always will hate them. they’re cowards in her books and hid when the witching world needed them the most. when they needed guidance, they vanished. they are useless and the fact she is even part whitelighter is like a punch to the gut because they are a disgrace. ok thanks. plus their rules and moral even during this time are unethical!!!!!!
bisexual mel? YOU BET! boys were typically a means to an end, using them just as a fun time or to occupy her time. with girls? those are some of her best memories and the places she stems her relationship advice from. girls were so affectionate and caring and kind and loving and everything melinda could have asked for in a partner. the reason why those relationships never lasted because of trust issues. melinda knew her girlfriends and aiden weren’t the same but letting her past go was just too hard. it was a buried memory she wanted to keep hidden. plus melinda knew it wasn’t her partners job to fix the toxic mess of herself. it wasn’t their job to stick around when she would self destruct. it was her own problems to deal with and letting them go was the easiest way to keep them safe and happy.
melinda had gotten into some serious trouble crime wise growing up. luckily for her, darryl was ALWAYS there to help weasel her way out of it. the last time she was ever arrested was when a reality check hit her in the face. darryl was told to not let her out per leo’s orders and ended up spending a night in lock up. although it wasn’t terrible, the idea of doing something so terrible that she’d end up in prison for the rest of her life was a NO GO. ever since, mel has tried to be on her best behavior and doesn’t give darryl too much grief with the amount of times he had to put up with her.
in any reality, melinda wasn’t very keen on getting told she was like piper. she never wanted to be anything like her because piper broke her heart in the worst ways possible. it wasn’t like she had DIED and there was closure. in fact, being ALIVE with no contact made everything so much worse. melinda just wanted her mom to play with her hair, give boy advice, protect her, and even tell melinda how much she loved and appreciated her. abandoningyour own child and never looking back? YIKES!!!! a no go in mel’s book and refuses to be anything like that.
mels mother figure is wendy beauchamp ( aka @wouldntdie ). she stepped up to the plate when piper left. the person who tucked her into bed, told all her secrets to, her pride and joy, everything and more. that’s her mother in every way, shape, and form. having piper walk out on her was painful, no doubt about that, but if that hadn’t of happened? wendy wouldn’t be the mother melinda had. she wouldn’t change that for the world.
friendly reminder that mel has five tattoo’s and twelve piercings! the first tattoo she ever got was when she was fifteen. her dad definitely did not know about this and basically, one of her older friends had a tattoo gun and low and behold, that’s when the triquetra tattoo came about on her hipbone - to represent the heritage of magic! leo didn’t find out about it till summer time since it was hidden but when she’d go out swimming in a bathing suit? yeah that was ruined!! did that stop her? nope!! her next tattoo was fairly simple, small flowers and leaves wrapped around her wrist. she was seventeen getting this tattoo and had wendy’s permission with leo slightly against it ( too bad neither girls ever listen to him? )  BLESSED BE on the bridge of her foot written in cursive on her eighteenth birthday, nothing too crazy, it was a little treat to herself. a little after turning twenty, she then got a moon tattoo behind her ear with a minimalist mandala within it and at this point, no one could say jack about what she did. that was the last tattoo melinda got for awhile until a little after jaxon died. she ended up getting the phrase ’in aeternum’ on her rib cage which is latin for ‘to eternity ; forever.’ because to mel? that’s what their love was.moving on to piercings! she has her belly button pierced and a double nose piercing. she actually got this when she was fifteen too and convinced leo into letting her get them…. which they regretted once they found out about her little tattoo scandal. the rest are just ear piercings which mel gradually just ended up getting over time!
if you ever wanna get fucked up, mel is your go to! not only is she the best joint roller ( teen mel just took a huge jump to rock bottom but it’s ok she built herself up again ) and not afraid to ever cook up a batch of pot brownies ( which her family probably ate by mistake a time or hundred ) but the BEST bartender. the second she turned 18, melinda was behind the bar serving drinks, being everyone’s personal therapist to get them through their dramatic bullshit, but all-in-all? there for a good time! it was a natural talent for someone who delved head first into drinking at the age of fourteen and built a fucking tolerance. even before her 21st, melinda would sneak into clubs that never carded. those who personally knew her knew that her id was a fake, but no one ratted her out because she was that chill. bringing pot brownies to share, taking shots, dancing, you name it, melinda patricia halliwell fucking did it. coyote piper? more like coyote melinda because mother like daugher! when she was legally allowed to bar tend, melinda started attending a university to get her bachelors degree as both entrepreneur and engineering and paid for it using her paychecks and tips.
not being able to use her powers literally killed mel. she had no help from anyone, not even her father. melinda learned how to orb and sense on her own in secret. without anyone knowing, she figured out how to connect with those she loved in order for them to remain safe. obviously, mel had to be super careful due to the fact she could get caught. yet, this one? was super sneaky and sly, running under everyone’s radar in order to remain a secret.
aiden really fucked her up. he was the boy she would’ve gone to the end of the world for. the one she would’ve given up her entire family and morals and lifestyle just to be around. melinda was willing to convert completely to dark magic and essentially expose herself in order to keep him in her life due to wanting to be a magical being. they would’ve destroyed the world if they had to. the worst part about him is that even though he was so bad for her, he treated her so perfectly. aiden treated her like a princess, spoiling her with endless gifts and a kindness that wasn’t shared to the public. like she wishes he treated her bad so the pain and sadness wouldn’t of been so bad and she could’ve walked away sooner in the relationship. even after he died, melinda was still so in love with him and it took years for her to realize how toxic aiden truly was. his death was and always will be a pain that she carries in her heart. after his passing, melinda never settled for anyone. she had MAJOR trust issues and the idea of being in a serious relationship was a literal nightmare. never did she think she’d find love again, let alone really wanted to. then when she was 23, melinda met jaxon and everything really changed. he was a military man, no ties to the magic world. she didn’t want to fall for him in fear of being his downfall. he mended her heart in so many ways and taught her how to love again and just opened her up. he was everything the family envisioned for melinda and they truly lived a happy life with their 3 ( 4 but you’ll see in a sec ) kids. when he died during his final tour, it really put a dent into her life. she couldn’t grieve the same way she did for aiden because she had kids to care for and a baby on the way, one that wouldn’t even have the chance to meet her ( 3 girls, 1 boy. we all know this!! ) father. she wanted to keep his memory alive in positive light and the years that they had together were the happiest. aiden damaged her in so many ways, jaxon was truly melinda’s salvation. having a mortal husband kept her tamed in the no magic world!
listen, if piper ever walked back into melinda’s life, honestly? she’d rock her shit. like to abandon her without saying goodbye or even trying to communicate with her really messed melinda up. all she wanted was her mother and at her worst times, piper wasn’t there. her mother chose her sisters over her own daughter and that was a hard concept for melinda to come to terms with. she doesn’t have it in her to forgive piper, phoebe, or prue. it is too painful to even consider letting that possible heartbreak from happening again. even though melinda’s last name is halliwell, she’ll introduce herself as melinda patricia wyatt because her father? yeah, that’s her hero in every shape and form. wendy? stepping up and being a mom? yeah, that’s her mother in every shape and form as well. a halliwell by blood, a beauchamp-wyatt by choice.

under the read more are headcanons for melinda halliwell !!
under read more are melinda’s halliwells headcanons!!
ok but melinda views phoebe as an evil pre-aiden situation. murdering someone? running away from its crimes? sacrificing everyone to save herself? YIKES!!! coward moves in melinda’s eyes. her entire future ruined because of her mothers half of the family. unfortunately, mel doesn’t get it till she follows into the same footsteps. definitely a no bueno. hates phoebe for setting up the path for darkness since melinda had no control.
