I've been feeling anxious and stressed with this whole kosa thing im trying not to panic but sometimes it feels like no matter what we do they wont listen to us i just saw a tiktok saying that their not even reading up on this bill which pisses me off more. And we are telling them time and time again to not pass kosa. I remember so many content creators were talking about the dangers of the kosa bill i remember it being talked everywhere and now it's just silence which confuses me why is no concerned about this bill did everyone just forget or just doesn't care anymore. This is just reminding me of the whole tiktok ban thing again but so many people online were talking about that but not kosa at all like this bill is going to affect everyone and then everyone will start panicking if it does pass when they could've spoken out about the bill. I'm sorry for the kinda long rant im just stressed anxious idk what to do i have been calling emailing whatever im just so tired i've been spreading info in my twiiter/x account and none of my mutuals seems to care i know people are focusing about what's going on in palestine congo sudan etc so am i but you focus on multiple things at once this bill can censor people talking about these countries too so it makes me really confused why there's barley anyone concerned about the censorship and online safety thing and the whole government id like literally no one of my mutuals care their just only liking posts about me retweeting stuff about palestine sudan and congo like what about the kosa bill it can censor us talking about israels war crimes hello people you should be concerned and make some noise about kosa. hello!! don’t apologize for ranting I can understand why it’s very stressful and scary especially since it feels like you have nobody to talk to about this, it is infact a scary time for us right now with everyone going on but I’m very proud of you for spreading awareness about KOSA, I myself am trying to stay positive since there could be things that stop the bill (opposition, the possibility of it getting sued and the fact it’s harmful for lgbtq youth and unconstitutional as fuck) but I’ll admit it the anxiety and stress of it does get to me but I’m not going to give up and neither should you. I learned about KOSA a year ago and the reason why it’s just NOW getting to the senate is because we voiced our opposition, Evan Greer is a reliable source where I get my information and she does a lot to try to keep KOSA from passing. A reminder that KOSA tried to pass before in previous years but didn’t because there was so much opposition of it. Maxwell Frost, a representative opposes KOSA amongst others which is good, Once again, there is more opposition and skepticism about KOSA in the House than Senate. I know it’s scary and worrisome but please, don’t panic and if it gets to the point where it’s to much for your health take a step back from looking at updates for a minute. KOSA won’t go straight into effect after it’s voted to the Senate, and IF it passes it will take 18 months to go into effect depending on which state you’re in. But it’s not to that point yet, It has to get to the House which if we keep voicing our concern and opposition will not pass and then get signed to the president, which given everything that’s been going on in the presidential race, may be a bit tricky or take longer to get too. Senate goes into a break in August so I’ve heard so that gives us time to keep calling/ emailing and faxing. If you have any trusted adult I would recommend voicing your concerns to them, i myself am in a very much homophobic republican family (democratic state tho) and i felt hopeless for awhile since I had nobody to voice my concerns to but then I talked to my older cousin and it made me feel a lot better since she voted for Biden. Im not an expert when it comes to politics and this, I get my research from other amazing blogs on Tumblr, articles and Evan Greer since I don’t have any other social media platforms. But I hope I was able to bring some reassurance to you, if not I apologize but please do not give up because the silence is what’s going to get KOSA to pass, keep voicing your opposition, calling / faxing and emailing. It’s going to be okay and please do not panic, whatever happens tomorrow will be a step forward or back but regardless we can fight it and not let KOSA pass. You’re doing great Anon. 💗

I have a lot of thoughts about queendom 2 and Im just going to do my best to articulate it here. I was going to post a cute little thing in the youtube comments for the Pose stage, but that stage is currently region locked so here we go.

First things first, I am really sad that LOONA didn't win. They worked so hard and they've been through so much and they really deserve the best. It's especially disappointing because, as everyone on twitter already mentioned, if they had participated in round 1 and gotten points for that stage, they probably would have won. They caught a highly contagious virus when cases were at an all time high and mnet didnt think to have a reasonable contingency plan and just gave then zero points for round 1. Like something like this was pound to happen. But it is what is is I guess.

Orbits who voted and streamed, you all should give yourself a pat on the back. We all worked hard and really gave it our all. There was nothing more we could have done. For any possible points that was within our control, we did the best we could have possibly done. They were in the top 3 for both round 2 and 3 and even won the dance unit part of round 3. They were #1 in digitals, youtube views+ fans choice, an #1 in live votes. Literally the gap was less than 4,000. They were so close. And for that I am also soooo proud of them. They went from being in last place with literally 0 points in round 1 to being the runner-up.

And honestly, I am so happy the had a chance to participate on Queendom. Those stages from the show are going to be a legendary and iconic part of LOONA/orbit history. They really did blow me away with every performance they put up. Every round they did something different and they nailed it every time. Seeing them work behind the scenes has made me more in awe of them. These girls are dedicated to their craft in a way that not every idol group can say. These girls were meant to be performers and there is no way you can ever deny that.

Regardless of the results, there are people who came to know LOONA and become orbits through this show. The girls bounded with the other contestants and made new friends. And I know that there are many good things to come for the girls. We have a comeback that is expected to drop sometime this month. There is an upcoming US tour in August and I won't be surprised if they add in more dates for other parts of the world as well. These girls are destined for greatness and nothing will ever change that.

But since you sound so confused, I'm gonna explain to you the Dream SMP lore 'cause why not

TL;DR: Chaos and war, basically also like a hamilton, heathers, and les mis crossover (but i mean if you want to understand everything you should read.)

Note: Everyone on the smp has three canon lives, and when you loose all three you're canonically dead (except philza minecraft. he has one canon life bc hes known as the hardcore guy bc he had a minecraft hardcore series for 6 years until he was killed by a spider while trying to fight a baby zombie lmaoooooo)

IMPORTANT: THIS IS ALL RP. IRL THEY’RE ALL FRIENDS. THERES A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PLAYER AND THE CHARACTER. THE RELATIONSHIPS AREN’T ACTUALLY TOGETHER IRL. ITS ALL THEIR CHARACTERS THAT THEY MADE UP. (obviously the best friends stuff are irl)

In the beginning there were 8: The Dream Team (Dream, Georgenotfound [the guy in my pfp btw :)] , Sapnap), Badboyhalo, Awesamdude, Ponk, Callahan, and Alyssa. Around this time, nothing much happened since it was all brand new, uhh yeah (this was around may-july of this year)

Then around late july new members joined: Tommyinnit, Tubbo, Wilbur Soot, Eret, Skeppy, Fundy, Punz, Purpled, and Schlatt. This part is very important to the lore, because the lore kinda started off with the british (so tommy, tubbo, wilbur, eret) Schlatt was banned, cause Sapnap was the one who invited him and Dream didn't know who he was. He'll come up later.

So Wilbur and Tommy decided to create a new nation called "L'Manberg". Also around this time (i think) Nihachu and Jack Manifold joined. They also were part of L'Manberg. There was this huge revolution between Dream Smp and L'Manberg. Very historical period on this smp. In the end, (i think it was?) L'Manberg who won (if memory serves).

After that, L'Manberg had started growing bigger, with a lot more buildings added and stuff, notably Church Prime, which where they created a religion for Twitch Prime, which is how you can sub to your favorite twitch streamer for free if you link your amazon prime account. I'm pretty sure around this time, Quackity, Karl Jacobs (if you watch Mr. Beast; yes, that karl jacobs), HBomb, Technoblade, and Antfrost joined. And then the railway war started. It happened when Tommy accidentally ran over Dream with a Minecart and then took his stuff. This is how the disc war started (once again, if memory serves). The two discs Tommy owns are his prized possesions, and Dream took them. Also around this time the Pet War started, with Sapnap killing someones(i forgot oops) pet. And then more pet killing. Annnnd then even more.

Then there was the L'Manberg eletion. There was POG2020, who was Wilbur and Tommy, SWAG2020, Quackity and George, Coconut2020, Fundy and Nihachu, and Schlatt2020 which was Schlatt. Oh yeah and he got unbanned btw

SWAG2020 and Schlatt2020 decided to combine their votes, thus Shclatt became president and Quackity his vp. Oh and ever since the election Quackity has this grudge against George bc he slept through the election. Schlatt renamed L'Manberg to Manberg, and exiled Tommy and Wilbur from it.

Schlatt is a evil dictator who likes power. He and Quackity started fighting, and so Quackity became part of Tommy and Wilbur's side. Around this time was The Battle of the Lake and The Burning Eiffel Tower, both part of the pet war. (It seems like a innocent war but its actually brutal lmao) Also (irl) Mr. Beast had a $10,000 Taco Bell gift card hunt. Eret won. It was at the cords 6969,420, because haha funny number haha weed number. This has nothing to do with the lore but yeah. Eret also became King of the SMP 

Then there was the Manberg festival. It was to celebrate democracy, but Tubbo puts it as "i decorated my own execution" bc he helped decorate it, but he was murdered there. At the festival was the Manberg Massicare, where Technoblade was forced to shoot tubbo, but he released a firework rocket kiling Tubbo, Schlatt, Quackity, and a few others. Many people lost one of their canon lives. Wilbur went all J.D like and planted 11 stacks of TNT underneath Manberg, and wanted to blow it up.

Pogtopia was formed, which is a ravine which i think is underneath? manberg? Which included basically everybody who wasn't neutral or with schlatt. On November 16 was the Manberg VS Pogtopia war, but the Badlands were also there. The Badlands is a nation of four people: Bbh, Skeppy, Awesamdude, and Antfrost. They faught with the loosing side, so the chaos could continue. Eret disobeyed Dream and got stripped of his royalty, and gave it to George. Oh and during this time, George had no idea there was a war and was building a cottagecore mushroom house with callahan and was very confused with all the death messages in the chat. Schlatt died canonically of a heart attack or stroke (no one knows tbh). Tommy became president, passed it to wilbur bc he still has unfinished buissness with dream (the discs), and wilbur passed it to Tubbo, who made Tommy his vp. Technoblade then argued about how government is bad, and they're just repeating history. Philza Minecraft joined the server, but no one could find him, until Wilbur blew up L'Manberg (they rechanged the name also). Wilbur then made Philza kill him, so Wilbur also became canonically dead. Then Techno, still mad at L'Manberg and governments, summoned two withers and made it attack the others. The Geogre decided to check out what was happening and helped fight. After the chaos, Captain Puffy and ConnorEatsPants joined the smp. About one to two weeks later Vikkstar and LazarBeam joined, then about three months after that Ranboo joined.

They rebuilt L'Manberg on stilts, and there water where the explosion was, but now with coral and stuff to make it all pretty. Tommy and Ranboo decided to go steal from Georges mushroom house, but then also griefed it and burnt it, and Dream, being a George simp, built obsidian walls around L'Manberg. They took Tommy to court, and was put on probation. Then Tommy got exiled (again) but this time by his own best friend. This made Quackity vp and Fundy secutary of state. Dream also took Georges king thing and gave it back to Eret because Eret has a good relationship with everybody, whereas George being King just caused chaos cause hes close to Dream. Quackity and Karl made Mexican L'Manberg, and George and Sapnap joined in also. War against Dream SMP, it was a negotiation and it got renamed into El Rapids (reference to Chilling in Cedar Rapids, which Hilary Clinton once said, and Quackity referenced it, got it trending #1 one twitter (well i mean dsmp gets things trending like everyday but), and got DONALD TRUMP TO SUBTWEET HIM. (This happened irl)

In his exile, Ghostbur (wilbur as ghost) and Tommy made Logstedshire, and Dream was often there to watch him. Dream then blew it up, and now Tommy is living with Techno in his arctic place. Currently, Quackity made a thing called The Butcher Army, so they could execute Techno. Tubbo, Quackity, Fundy, and I also think Ranboo? are trying to get another festival, and yes its a secret execution plan, but for them to kill Dream, who they realized is who they need to kill first. The disc war is still not over. Tommy has one of his discs, but Skeppy is in possesion of the other one.

Unluckily for Tommy (reguarding the discs), something happened in the Badlands. Bbh was digging out his underground statue room (he plans to make a statue of everyone of the server) and found this crimson egg. He, Antfrost, and Captain Puffy kinda got possesed. Also since Skeppy didn't really hang out on the server at night, but bbh does (OF FUCK I FORGOT TO MENTION HE AND BBH ARE BEST FRIENDS) Captain Puffy created Discount Skeppy, which is her in a Skeppy skin. Skeppy found out, had a little conflict with her during her stream, but it was resolved, and at one point in the stream, he asked bbh to choose between him and the egg, and when bbh didn't answer, he went to the egg, put himself inside it, and logged off. Couple days later, bbh and puffy got him out, hes now possed by the crimson, called Technoblade his "best friend" infront of bbh, and is now living in a grass hut. Bad is convinced theres still some skeppt left, but yeah. Skeppy also wanted to burn the disc.

End of lore for now, bc its like if you miss ONE STREAM YOU MISS LIKE A REALLY IMPORTANT EVENT AND ITS STRESSFUL

Not much part of lore but Nihachu and Captain Puffy once went on a date. They’re both bi irl and Puffy was on Nihachu’s Love or Host (twitch dating show. its really entertaining) Captain Puffy was a contestant, and chose love. (LoH is also how Nihachu and Wilbur met.) 

Funfact: Theres 5 irl lgbtq+ ppl on the server (people who came out, anyways cause you never know, ya know?) Antfrost is gay, Eret, Nihachu, Captain Puffy are all bi, and Karl Jacobs is ace spec 

Family stuff: Philza Minecraft (he'll come up later) had two twins with a Samsung Smart Refrigerator in the 70's. The two twins being Wilbur and Technoblade (he'll come up later also) and also had another son, Tommy. They also adopted Tubbo, who they found in a box on the side of the road. When he grew up, Wilbur met Sally the Salmon, and they had a fox together (dont ask just go with it), which was Fundy. (The character) Fundy is trans, and yeah . Bbh is a dad to sapnap and yeah

Wer hat Angst vorm weißen Mann?

Auf diese Frage kann es, wenn ich nun für mich selbst sprechen darf, auf den ersten Blick nur zwei simple Antworten geben: Ja, ich habe Angst vorm weißen Mann oder Nein, ich habe keine Angst vorm weißen Mann. Lassen Sie mich beide Antwortmöglichkeiten jeweils kurz besprechen:

1) Ja, ich habe Angst vorm weißen Mann:

Denn er hat in der Vergangenheit bewiesen, zu was er alles fähig ist: Kolonialismus, Weltkriege, Patriarchat, Klimakrise... Relevant für das Jetzt ist allerdings – und immer im historischen Kontext betrachtet – welche Macht der weiße Mann ***heute*** noch inne hat.

Ich habe recherchiert. Es folgen ein paar Statistiken, ich bitte daher ab spätestens jetzt um Konzentration:

Mehr als 90 Prozent der rund 69 Trillionen Dollar, die an der Wall Street gehandelt werden, liegen in den Händen von weißen Männern.1

Die Vorstände der 30 Dax-Unternehmen sind fast alle weiß, 86,6 Prozent sind Cis-Männer >>> Das Kapital liegt also in den Händen von weißen Männern

Beispiel #2: Seit 1949 gab es in deutschen Bundesregierungen mehr Staatssekretäre, die den Vornamen Hans tragen als Staatssekretärinnen. 24 Hanse (ist das der richtige Plural von Hans?) stehen 19 Frauen gegenüber. Und die Frauen haben nur knapp die Karls überholt, von denen gab es seit dem Ende des zweiten Weltkriegs immerhin 18.2 >>> Die politische Gestaltungsmacht liegt im sogenannten Globalen Norden – und dort in den Händen von weißen Männern. Auf Angela Merkel und die im vergangenen Jahr gefeierte weiblich dominierte finnische Regierung komme ich später zu sprechen.

Drittes Beispiel: Fast 80 Prozent der Autorenschaft in der US-Unterhaltungsindustrie (mit Fokus auf Fernseh-Angebote) liegt in den Händen von weißen Männern.3 Sie sehen, dass ich mich oft auf Zahlen aus den USA stützen muss, weil es allgemein für deutsche und europäische Kontexte wenige bis gar keine Erhebungen gibt. Was die Sichtbarkeit von Nicht-Weißen Menschen im Unterhaltungsmainstream angeht, kann ich für Europa an dieser Stelle auch mit qualitativen Rechercheergebnissen dienen. Wie werden People of Color auf unseren Bildschirmen repräsentiert? Ich sage es Ihnen: Türkisch für Anfänger, Einmal Hans (!) mit scharfer Soße, 4Blocks, ziemlich beste Freunde (schlimm!), Monsieur Claude und seine Töchter (ganz schlimm!), Willkommen bei den Hartmanns (ein Kassenschlager in Schland!) usw...

Weißer Humor schlägt somit auch bei der Repräsentation von PoCs durch weil die meisten Autoren, Regisseure, Produzenten und die ZIELGRUPPE weiße Menschen, insbesondere weiße Männer sind.

Ich könnte noch so weiter mit Statistiken um mich werfen, aber ich glaube, dass klar geworden ist, was ich damit aussagen möchte. Eine bekannte deutsche Wochenzeitung hat trotz dieser Evidenzen schon vor Jahren „Das Ende des weißen Mannes“ prophezeit. Zitat: „Mächtig werden jetzt Frauen, Schwarze, Latinos“ (Zitat Ende), hieß es in der Schlagzeile aus dem Jahr 2012. Das ist natürlich (und leider) mit Blick auf die Empirie ein fataler Trugschluss: In Wirtschaft, Politik und Kultur haben weiterhin weiße Männer das Sagen und die Gestaltungsmacht. Und es sieht nicht so aus als würde sich das substanziell in nächster Zeit ändern.

Vor diesem Hintergrund und mit unserem historischen Wissen muss man sich also nicht schämen, wenn man als Person of Color zumindest ein wenig Angst oder Skepsis oder Unwohlsein gegenüber weißen Männern verspürt. Es gibt ja aber auch noch eine andere Antwortmöglichkeit auf meine Ursprungsfrage:

2) Nein, ich habe keine Angst vor dem weißen Mann.

Das wiederum hat viel mit einem neuen Selbstbewusstsein zu tun, mit einer noch relativ neuen Sprechfähigkeit von People of Color vor allem in Deutschland: Mit der Rezeption alternativer Geschichtsschreibung, eines alternativen Kanons und alternativer Kulturpraktiken, die nicht der etablierten weißen Norm entsprechen. Plötzlich hat Christopher Columbus Amerika eben nicht entdeckt, die Rolle von Frauen of Color im Kampf gegen koloniale Kontinuitäten werden sichtbar, Blackface ist nicht harmlos, Voltaire, Martin Luther oder Theodor Fontane (erst im vergangenen Jahr mit viel Steuergeldern gefeiert) waren Antisemiten.

Auch die alltägliche Popkultur bekommt neuen Schwung: Alle Kidz sagen auf einmal valla. Sogar in Berlin-Wannsee, Hamburg-Eimsbüttel oder in Freiburg. Wobei die weiß-privilegierten Jugendlichen zurück in ihre Goethe-Gymnasien gehen während viele junge PoCs nicht dieselben Chancen der Teilhabe genießen können. Dennoch: It’s okay to be of color and proud of it in Almanya. Das ist wirklich etwas Außergewöhnliches in einer Gesellschaft, die darauf programmiert ist, Minderheiten unsichtbar, hörig und kontrollierbar zu machen. Angehörige von Minderheiten stellen sich mittlerweile furchtlos vor die deutsche Öffentlichkeit und sagen: Euer Integrationsprojekt stinkt. Ich möchte mich nicht in eine Gesellschaft „integrieren“, die Rechtsextreme in ihren Parlamenten nicht nur duldet sondern teilweise als Demokratie feiert, die Polizeigewalt gegen Minderheiten verharmlost oder Menschen im Mittelmeer ertrinken, an den Außengrenzen abknallen und in der Nachbarschaft zerbomben, verhungern oder erfrieren lässt.

Ich habe keine Angst vor dem weißen Mann, auch weil WIR Wissen in uns tragen, zu dem wir exklusiven Zugang haben. Weiße Islamwissenschaftler*innen, Anthropolog*innen, Politikwissenschaftler*innen studieren sechs bis zehn Semester und können auf dem von ihnen imaginierten Souk aus 1001 Nacht noch nicht mal 1 Kilogramm Tomaten kaufen.

Auf die Frage: Wer hat Angst vorm weißen Mann? Gibt es in Wahrheit keine eindeutige Antwort. Ich würde sie sogar je nach Tagesform jeweils anders beantworten, jede Person of Color hier im Raum hat andere Erfahrungen mit weißen Männern gesammelt und verortet sich stets irgendwie doch in intersektionalen Strukturen von Diskriminierung und Privilegien. Apropos Intersektionalität: Ich muss an dieser Stelle kurz über weiße Frauen sprechen: WTF? WHITE WOMEN? Historisch betrachtet haben sich weiße Frauen sehr oft für die falsche Seite der Geschichte entschieden: Angefangen bei den 53% weißen Frauen, die 2016 für Donald Trump gestimmt haben4, über Marine Le Pen, Beatrix von Storch, Alessandra Mussolini (alle mit interessanten Familiengeschichten) bis hin zu Beate Zschäpe. Ich stehe weißen Frauen also ebenfalls oft mit Angst oder Skepsis oder Unwohlsein gegenüber. Mehr Frauen an der Macht in Dax-Vorständen, als Staatssekretärinnen oder Drehbuchautorinnen sind wichtig, mehr Frauen of Color an der Macht sind mir ganz persönlich aber wichtiger.

Wenn ich das später alles twittere oder auf anderen Wegen bekannt werden sollte, dass ich hier über Weiße Männer und Frauen gesprochen habe, werde ich wieder reichlich Zuschriften bekommen, wie rassistisch ich sei, so über (immerhin) die Bevölkerungsmehrheit zu sprechen. Aber jetzt mal ehrlich: Wer sind diese Weißen überhaupt? Die Bevölkerungsmehrheit in diesem Land und in anderen weißen Mehrheitsgesellschaften ist untererforscht. Weiße studieren und verstehen fördert meiner Meinung nach das friedliche Zusammenleben und davon profitieren letztendlich alle – auch der weiße Mann.

Und genau diese wichtige Grundlagenforschung passiert in diesen Tagen hier in Freiburg, habe ich dem Programm entnommen: ein Vortrag über „white Gaze“ (nicht zu verwechseln mit White Gays, die aus queerer Perspektive auch ein wichtiges Thema darstellen. Trade Mark für diesen Joke liegt bei Hengameh Yaghoobifarah)5, partnerschaftliche Entwicklungspolitik, the western feminist agenda, Rassismus im Bildungssystem, Schwarze Perspektiven auf die Kolonialität der Klimakrise... um nur einige Themenbereiche zu nennen, die einen Beitrag zur Völkerverständigung und InTiGrAtiOn von Weißen leisten.

Yeah I have tried to spread the message through Destiel fandom that we should be damn proud of how much we fought, and that our reputation has all others shippers seeing us as this huge threat, which proves how much of a majority we are (something antis continue to adamantly deny much to my amusement). I mean, the funniest thing is that most Destiel shippers are actually really lovely people and you know that if any other ship fans were to join forces with us we would do everything in our power to support you as well right? I don’t get this constant fight we have with other ship fandoms, especially outside of SPN fandom. 

I don’t think actual Posie shippers used bots no, though if I recall correctly in one of my many twitter GCs someones friend ran some kind of software and confirmed that there were two bots running against us? I dunno how that works as I am not a computer wiz. Anti’s in SPN fandom are well known for using bots and buying votes and followers on social media, so I suspect that bots were run by Destiel haters rather than Posie shippers. Oh well, its their money they spent. Even then we only lost by less than a percent so I’m still so amazed at how well we did.

very long, very personal post

tldr, im still not drawing but here’s a detailed account of everything that’s happened in case anyone is confused or misinformed

alright. let me start out by saying i’m not going back to art just yet. it still hurts to do anything art related and i’m still trying to find a way to heal from all of this. i need some kind of professional help first, and i don’t know how long it’ll take afterwards for me to begin feeling like myself again. i don’t even know if i’ll be able to get any kind of professional help at the moment; my university’s counseling center told me, in short, that i’m so mentally ill that their services would not be enough for me and i’d have to look elsewhere (which is reasonable, tbh, they’re almost always completely booked so it’s difficult to actually even talk to someone there in the first place, i only got to talk to them to begin with because i nearly killed myself one night after having the most intense panic attack of my life where i felt like i was actually in the process of dying) and as if that weren’t enough, if you follow me on twitter you’d know that my mom finally left my stepdad, but this means that we no longer really have a home to call our own and are now living with some of my mom’s friends. on the bright side, miso is a lot freer and gets to explore the house as he pleases, but on the downside money is tight and my mom is trying her best to find a place to live while working two jobs and trying to help pay for my tuition. long story short, i want some kind of professional help badly, but all the bullshit that’s been happening in my life makes that difficult. 

anyway, i understand that i’ve worried a lot of people through all of this, and i’m sorry. i truly, genuinely am sorry for everything that’s been going on. i blame a lot of it on myself not being strong enough. if i were stronger, i wouldn’t care about some stupid internet trolls, or some random grown man in florida stalking all my social media. if i were stronger, i could take my life back. i wouldn’t feel the need to constantly contemplate suicide, or to torture my own body by starving because of my physical form feeling like the only thing i have left to be in control of. if i had only been stronger, like my old stupidly foolish overconfident 16 year old self who got into fucking STEVEN UNIVERSE DISCOURSE of all things, maybe i wouldn’t care. even when it first happened to me, after the initial shock and hiatus, i was pretty much back to normal almost instantly.  but this kind of trauma is sneaky and will gradually eat away at you more and more while you pretend to be ok, and then eventually you reach a breaking point and it’s taken over your life. that’s why i’m still obsessing over that day two years later. that’s why i can’t be left alone on december 13th this year, or else i know for a fact i will harm myself in some way. (don’t worry about that though, burger is going to hang out with me that day and i’ll be fine.) still, even though i keep telling myself my past self was stronger, i do know that she really wasn’t. she was still struggling with depression, anxiety, and self harm issues. maybe it just manifested differently for a while. maybe she felt unstoppable at some point in time because she finally found a girlfriend and got a cat. i got into so many fights that weren’t worth my time or energy at all, and part of me wishes i could be that confident again, but i also know that was my downfall to begin with.

i have followers who haven’t been around for longer than a year or maybe less than two, so i might as well give everyone a true, thorough rundown of what happened leading up to that day, the day of, and after. 

i’m sure a lot of you who are worried about me at the moment have seen the recent callout for colboh and his involvement in what happened. i’ll be honest--i don’t know the full extent of his involvement, and i want to believe his foolishness ends at not leaving artists who have blocked him alone and uploading their shit to booru sites when they explicitly state not to. so let’s just start there. i honestly don’t remember if it was before or after i first blocked him, but he uploaded one of my NSFW drawings to danbooru when i first shared my NSFW blog. (PROTIP: if you’re a minor, don’t share your NSFW art with anyone. don’t care if you’re 17, i was about to turn 17 myself. it will bite you in the ass. as such, some of this is my fault.) i quickly contacted danbooru asking them to delete it, and they did--but that artwork subsequently ended up on gelbooru as well, and i was unsuccessful in my efforts to remove my art from there.  

fast forward to december 13th, 2016. it was a normal morning. i was getting ready for school, but also being dumb and lazing around in bed browsing tumblr. i saw a post from a blog that shares Funny 4chan Screencaps. my art was in it. the art was of a very muscular yuugi, a drawing i was proud of, especially in how much gay energy i thought it radiated--but this drawing was being used in one of those typical “here’s a touhou, i wanna fuck her! am i right guys? let’s talk about how badly we want to fuck her” threads. seeing my art used for this was appalling. my first mistake was reblogging the post and saying how it was wrong, and how my art shouldn’t ever be used for such a purpose. my second mistake was making a text post AND tweets expressing my disgust at the situation, thinking no one who frequented /jp/ would ever see, sure that it would be a big waste of their time to concern themselves with some random dumb “”sjw”” artist. i also probably shouldn’t have specifically called them “gross neckbeards,” in doing so i absolutely struck a nerve with basement dwellers everywhere. i got to school and during my second period class, suddenly felt a strange urge to look at /jp/. why i did that, i still don’t really know. maybe i was expecting hate. maybe i was trying to see if they used my art for something gross again. i don’t know. either way, that moment changed everything forever. i saw the screencap of my tweets posted for everyone in their  circlejerk to see. even worse--i looked in the thread, and someone had also posted the NSFW art colboh had uploaded to danbooru, mocking it and calling me a hypocrite for drawing two girls having sex while also saying i don’t like my art being used for those kinds of threads. this is what truly ignited the amount of hate i saw directed towards me in the threads. i got called a bitch, a drama whore, got told to kill myself, and in one reply etched into my mind forever, someone said something along the lines of “we should all call her local gang and have them rape her, she just needs a good dicking.” there were multiple threads, too; i don’t know how many, but there was another one about me after the first one was deleted, in which someone edited a typical fat balding NTR hentai doujin style man into art i made of kagerou nosebleeding at wakasagihime. more disparaging comments were made. in both threads, people expressed their hatred and dislike of my art, some calling it garbage, some just saying it’s “bad,” etc. some people said the threads were unnecessary and rude, but they were a kind few in a cesspool of violence.

i don’t know who started these threads. i can’t assume anything about anyone, but whoever did this was definitely looking through all my social media out of bitterness and hatred, or perhaps even following me on both my tumblr and twitter considering the timing of the threads immediately after i complained. it eats at me that i most likely will never know who did this to me. i’ll never know who hated me so much that they decided to completely destroy my self esteem. if whoever it is who did all of this is reading this and feels any ounce of remorse, i’m begging them to reveal themselves and why they did it, but i know the chances of that happening are incredibly slim. someone, i can’t remember who, maybe it was queenly, told me they hope someday i reach a point where i don’t have to worry about that because i won’t care in general, but i still don’t know if i’ll ever reach a point where i stop caring about all of this.

like i mentioned earlier, after this all first happened, i was destroyed. the next day, my school’s GSA happened to have a vote for whose art would be on the club t-shirts, mine or someone else’s. mine lost. i broke down completely--anywhere i went, i wasn’t good enough, not for anyone. for days, there was a constant feeling of horror and fear  in my chest, something i’ve only ever felt so intensely when one of these threads resurfaces or i suddenly relive my trauma due to other things triggering me. i took a hiatus that lasted a few weeks, i believe i came back sometime before the new year. i thought i was ok, and i pretended like i could go back to being myself. but as time went on, and i continued living with the weight of that day on my back, i became weaker and weaker. i stopped drawing as frequently as i used to. my final year of high school started and i ended up falling into such a deep depression that i constantly skipped school and eventually attempted suicide in november 2017.  the suicide note i wrote cites that day as being one of the main things leading me to my decision, telling whoever did this to me that i hoped in my passing they’d have to live knowing what they did to me. my attempt only failed because i swore to take every pill left in the bottle and there were only four pills. had it been full, i’m not really sure what would have happened. i was sent to a mental institute afterwards for a week. being there was the absolute definition of hell. i was alone. i cried myself to sleep every night. they claimed to be a place where people were improved and got help, but i did not get any help at all. they basically imprisoned me for trying to kill myself. when i got out, i was only glad to be alive because i just wanted to be able to talk to my friends, my family, and my girlfriend again. it still shocks me that i was able to graduate from high school considering how much school i skipped before and after my suicide attempt.

sometime before that school year ended, i became extremely upset one afternoon and decided to run away from home. i had what happened to me and what was said about me that day running through my head. i tweeted that i hoped maybe in running away i’d end up being raped like they wanted, like how i deserved. someone who i considered a friend replied to this with, “fuck you.” after all of this was taken care of and i was safe at home, i responded that i was sorry, that i wasn’t thinking right when i made the tweet. she responded that i was, and blocked me. i tried to explain that i said what i did because of the threads about me on /jp/ and the one response threatening rape, but this was disregarded and, seemingly, ignored. a few days later, the former friend in question started sending me anon hate on tumblr, asking me why i want attention so badly, accusing me of making light of actual rape victims by saying such a thing. i explained myself, but to no avail. i blocked her on tumblr, and left it at that. but then, at the end of the school year, when i was proud of myself for finally getting through high school without killing myself or failing or anything, i stumbled upon the second thread. the date the thread was created lined up exactly with the time between me running away from home and me receiving anon hate. she can try to act like she didn’t make the thread all she wants, but i’m not an idiot. the replies were also eerily similar--people in the replies remembered me, a year and a half after the original thread. some replies mentioned me having attempted suicide months before. some mentioned my NSFW art again. i had a massive breakdown and nearly drowned myself in the pond down the road. it was a wet, rainy night, and i sat on a bench by the pond sobbing loudly, trying to find some way to want to keep living. but i couldn’t. i might have gone through with it if it hadn’t been for burger coming and talking to me and giving me a ride home.

entering college, i thought things would be easier. in a way, they are. i have more freedom with classes. this semester, i attended almost all of my classes, almost every day, just with the exception of me being sick some days and me accidentally oversleeping once, and then one day when i just didn’t feel like it. but things continued to get worse for me--i developed an eating disorder for many reasons, one being the time i spent a year prior depressed caused me to gain a significant amount of weight, and the other being i had sworn off self harm in the form of cutting. i found that i was able to get the same gratification from starving myself. at one point, it turned into a game of sorts, where i tried to see how long i could go without eating anything. my record was a little over 72 hours. being constantly hungry or in pain this way felt like something i deserved in a way, but also something to distract me from the pain of realizing i was losing my love for art. i was in denial about it for months. i tried to keep drawing, but everything i drew upset me, saddened me, and even angered me. i looked at anything i made and only felt disgust. it was the one thing i used to love doing more than anything, and now i only felt shame. 

in november, i acknowledged this and decided to quit for good. recently, i discovered colboh had uploaded more of my NSFW art to gelbooru, even though i specifically stated on my blog to never upload my NSFW art to image sharing sites, specifically right after he uploaded my art the first time. by the time i found this, i had already sworn off art for good, but looking at the comments on my art on gelbooru (and rule 34--i guess they’re connected upload-wise like danbooru?) filled me with so much sadness and shame, not because they criticized my art, but because they said horrible things about my depiction of kagerou. for those who don’t know, i headcanon kagerou as a trans woman, and one thing i do not regret about my time as an artist is how that depiction has helped numerous trans women feel good about themselves and their bodies. seeing so many disgusting comments deliberately misgendering her and making other transphobic remarks hurt me on a completely new level. my trans friends have been such a source of strength for me through all of this and seeing that made me feel disgusted, especially with myself. i felt like i had failed them. i had made so many trans women happy, only to see a man i blocked two years ago had uploaded my art to porn sites, tagging it with dehumanizing words like “f*ta” that i specifically tell people never to refer to my art with, displaying that art for the exact same crowds of people that ruined everything december 13th 2016 to continue to pick apart. one comment even told me to kill myself, effectively bringing back every memory of that day. 

speaking of that, another thing i want to touch on now that i’m up to speed with the details of everything that’s happened related to the original threads two years ago, is kagerou. i’m positive you all know that i really love kagerou imaizumi, and that she’s my favorite touhou character. it’s embarrassing to say, but she’s brought me so much comfort through all of this. sometimes if i’m sad, i’ll imagine her giving me a big hug, or i’ll look at cute pictures i have saved of her, or something along those lines. it’s pretty cringy for a fictional character to make me happy, i know, but i’ve grown so attached to her and she really means a lot to me. and another thing that made me want to swear off art is because she’s loved by so many others that i don’t think my depictions of her do her any good. i’m constantly compared to other artists, and it’s never good. even in the threads, i’m told i should be more like those other artists and these things wouldn’t happen to me. i am not allowed to love kagerou imaizumi. i draw her as a hairy trans lesbian, and that disgusts people. hell, the fact that i draw lesbians in general disgusts people, which sure fucking sucks because i constantly hate myself for not being attracted to men and being able to draw happy lesbians made me feel better about myself. but i’ve ruined kagerou for so many people, especially with my stupid kagewaka bullshit. maybe that’s why those artists unfollowed me. maybe it’s a combination of that and my constant breakdowns becoming far too annoying. i think all the popular artists who used to like me and then unfollowed/softblocked me are really glad to see that i’ve given up. and that’s something else that saddens me too--even as an artist, in my own community of touhou artists, i often feel like i’m lesser, and that i don’t belong. maybe it’s because i’m so foolishly outspoken about my opinions that they dislike me. maybe it’s because i’m a woman, and a lesbian at that. i don’t really know why they hate me so much. i wish i could belong somewhere.

and i think that’s what it all boils down to in the end. i’ve lost all sense of belonging. when i was 14 and people started noticing my art for the first time, i finally felt like i had something. like i belonged somewhere. after being bullied through middle school and having to deal with abusive friends and an abusive dad, it meant the world to me that i finally had something. but it didn’t last long at all. it all came crashing down, not just because of others, but because of me. i was the one who was cocky, getting into fights that weren’t worth it. i was the one who provoked people and made them hate me. i was the one who complained about /jp/ posting my art in their threads. i know people want to believe that i’m a saint, but i’m not. i have myself to blame too. i at least want everyone to understand this, above all else. there was so much i could have done differently to prevent this all from happening, but i didn’t. i was stupid and naive. i was a massive fucking idiot, and now look where i am. i lost everything. i thought i had friends, i lost them. i thought i loved art, i lost that. i thought other really talented nice people liked me, i even lost that. all i have now is an empty shell of my former self. i don’t know what to do with it. i don’t know how i’m going to rebuild myself. it’s so painful to have to keep living like this. i don’t know if there’s any fixing me at this point. i’ve lost so much, i feel permanently broken.

but despite all of that, despite everything i’ve been through, i still receive so much love and support from my followers and friends and it means so much to me. it means the world to me and has kept me going through all of this. knowing that people care about me and want to see me get better and improve makes me want to try to fix myself even if i am broken beyond repair. i just want to thank you all for being that source of strength for me. these past few years have been so hard for me and time and time again i still get love and encouragement from so many people. from the bottom of my heart, thank you. there is nothing more precious to me than those moments when i feel like i do truly belong, when i feel loved, when i feel like i’m not alone after all. for those moments, i’ll keep trying. even if these threads keep continuing and breaking me further, i’ll keep trying. even if every last artist in this fandom comes to hate me and my shitty art, i’ll keep trying. it’s still painful to draw right now and i have a long way to go before i can share art with anyone again, but for you all, i’m going to keep trying my best. at the end of the day, i know everyone’s encouragement and love is worth far more than hate threads urging me to kill myself.

As far as saying BTS “paved the way” I agree to an extent. Like BTS HAS made it easier for kpop groups to promote in America. Also, it’s true that what they’re doing now, as far as the Grammy’s and award shows, is all them for sure. But saying that older idols, like Big Bang or SNSD failed or flopped or whatever is unfair. Like 2009-2012, award shows weren’t really using a lot of the websites they are now to get their votes and data from. Literally all we had was YouTube, Tumblr, and the small amount of people that had migrated to Twitter. Technology has changed a lot in 10 years and it’s A LOT easier to stay connected to other fans and to keep tabs and what your idol group is doing. So rather than saying 2nd gen idols failed, I would just say BTS and ARMY have taken advantage of how popular Twitter and other social media’s have become and really used it to their advantage. Holding BTS’s successes now over the older generation is unfair. It’s two different times and things are a lot different.

I’m not trying to downplay any of BTS success or anything like that. I really like BTS and I’m proud of how far they have come. But just completely ignoring the fact that there have been other groups (like SuJu, Big Bang and SNSD) that have had some successes in America and won some big awards isn’t really the right way to go about it either.

BTS is the first Korean group to be nominated for a Grammy but there will be another group in the future that will be nominated for a music category. Whether that will be BTS or another group is anyone’s guess but some of their fans will start saying the same crap that some ARMY’s are saying now but being the first group to be nominated for a Grammy is something that will always stick with BTS and that’s something that no one can take away. So please don’t try and take away the successes of SuJu, Big Bang, SNSD and other groups.

The success kpop is seeing all over the world is a result of all the fans hard work over the past several years. I’m proud of all of us!

2020 elections

Im so proud of our people for how we’ve shown up in droves to vote and to put work behind our requests.

But we should be having the conversation NOW about the upcoming elections. Not just about how many democratic candidates there are or just about the scandals when they come up. Now is the time to start watching the candidates and how they’re moving. Find out what the foundation of their campaigns are. Find out what they’ve done, what office did they hold, if their constituents approved or not, how do they vote, who do they run with, where do they donate their money. Shit, check their Twitter if nothing more.

Follow their campaign and their major contributors. Who’s donating the money? Who’s their VP choice? (this will come later)

Listen to the promises they make and follow them throughout their campaign. Many will be weeded out, of course and apparently, but let’s really get involved.

If you have the option to vote, and you plan to vote, make it an informed decision. If you’re one of the ones that just go vote and word vomit the same recycled rhetoric of your social media life then, fine.. do you boo. At least make sure you’re following someone who actually knows what they’re talking about.

But for real... let’s just collectively agree that we wont wait until the last month when the shenanigans start and the rumors get crazy to care.

We got stuck with 45 for four years because not enough people took it seriously. There was also the Russian collusion thing but like, folk sill voted for this man in numbers.

... Many of us are stuck with governors, mayors, senators, and district reps for the exact same reason. If the past few election seasons haven’t lit a fire under your ass then please drink some coffee babe.

Illinois Sen Dick Durbin Taking Gavel Of The Powerful Senate Judiciary Committee

Illinois senior U.S. senator, Dick Durbin, will officially take the gavel as chairman of the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee as a result of a power-sharing agreement reached Wednesday between Democratic and Republican leaders in the evenly split chamber.

Democrats technically have majority control of the Senate due to Vice President Kamala Harris ability to cast tiebreaking votes. But organizing of the chamber had been delayed due to the insistence by the Senates GOP leader, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, that the 60-vote filibuster rule be preserved in exchange for installing Democrats as committee chairs.

McConnell later dropped that demand when two Democrats said they supported keeping the filibuster.

Prelogar Sails Through Nomination Hearing With Only Mild Republican Critiques

Elizabeth Prelogar, President Joe Bidens nominee to be solicitor general, sat through a swift nomination hearing on Tuesday afternoon. Appearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, she was met with strong praise from Democrats, limited pushback from Republicans, and few questions overall.

From Bidens inauguration on Jan. 20 until her nomination to the position of solicitor general on Aug. 11, Prelogar served as acting solicitor general. Due to a quirk in the Federal Vacancies Reform Act, she had to step down from her acting role while the Senate considers her nomination to hold the position on a permanent basis. The solicitor general represents the federal governments interests before the Supreme Court and is sometimes known as the 10th justice because of the influence that the job carries.

Two Republicans homed in on the solicitor generals office for reversing the governments legal position in a number of cases since the change in administrations. Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, quoted from a Bloomberg Law article that the Biden administration is on track to reverse the governments position in more cases before the Supreme Court than the Justice Department did during the first full high court term of Donald Trumps presidency. Grassley questioned Prelogar on whether continuing in a similar vein would pose challenges to the offices credibility.

Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee are demanding a second hearing for David Chipman, President Bidens nominee to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, amid reports that he made racist comments.

In a letter sent Thursday to committee Chairman Richard J. Durbin, Illinois Democrat, the senators pointed to a June news report claiming an anonymous ATF agent said Mr. Chipman made racially insensitive comments about Black agents being promoted in the Detroit Field Division.

Conservative outlet The Daily Caller News Foundation reported that in 2007 he said: Wow, there were an unusually large number of African American agents that passed the exam this time. They must have been cheating.

The senators brought up another article published Thursday by The Reload, which states two unnamed ATF agents, one current and one former agent, have corroborated the claim.

The conservative news outlet noted that it has not been able to verify the veracity of the allegation Chipman made racist remarks, only that the allegation exists.

The article also states agent Rick Vasquez said Mr. Chipman took a job as a special agent in Detroit because nobody else would and that an unnamed former agent said Mr. Chipman left because of the alleged comments.
