Ok, hear me out but crazy thought somehow
What if we time traveled ?
Like story wise, everyone is theorizing how grim is probably the undefeatable beast we fought in the beginning of the game.
If that's true, since it was undefeatable what if NRC cast lost? And let's say hypothetically, malleus joined the overblot bcs something happened to 'yuu' bcs strength wise, only malleus is able to probably go against it, right? Or crowley but it's either he's the instigator or he's just being useless as usual Or there's something that stops malleus from fighting against the undefeatable beast Insert grim-malleus-relatives theories. Or other reasons like maybe twst cast is not united enough to fight together against it and win through the power of friendship !
Then in hopes of changing that we time traveled back through time but without the memories or recollection of that timeline except for the scene of us fighting the undefeatable beast.
And then the 'visions' or 'dreams' that we see in the mirror and 'mickey' are the clues regarding how each dorm overblots will turn out, since if there wasn't anything like a clue or idea then the time travelling would've been useless
Idk it doesn't seem feasible but if polished even more I think it could be a great plot twist
It's my first time theorizing so pls don't hurt me if ever I'm wrong

so im thinking of having jane actually get involved with the plot of the giggle instead of being shunted away, so here are some moments im including
-after the doctor's "humans are no darn good" speech, jane asks him if he truly feels that way or if he's just angry and under pressure because of everything that's happened. the doctor responds with "you shouldve left when you had the chance, jane" referencing how jane was planning on leaving following the timeless child reveal (and the reveal that the doctor knew the whole time) but chose not to which leads to jane referencing the "do you think i care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference?" line from dark water
-okay this is just a concept that probably leads into the next one but jane finds a wind up doll version of herself in the toymaker's realm that performs a version of dont tell mama from cabaret - which is a double whammy reference as the toymaker's actor and jane's fifth fc have both been in cabaret
-jane's game with the toymaker is actually a game with her 'not-self' from wild blue yonder, who, as it turns out, is one of the toymaker's pawns. idk how to summarize the game but its a game like tricky cups in which her copy shows her 6 tarot cards with one of them face down (based on the incarnations of the doctor jane has travelled with) and places the rest face down, asking her to focus on one card. slight problem is that jane winds up outsmarting her copy, because her copy seems to have forgotten that the card she picked was ten's card, and considering that both ten and fourteen have the same face, jane just focused on fourteen's card and process of elimination-d her way out of it
-and yes the 6th card - which is permanently face down - is based on fifteen, but jane doesn't know that :')
-during the "well thats alright then!" puppet show, the toymaker references the timeless child, the division and the fact the doctor knew the whole time while keeping jane in the dark. jane tries to rebut that the doctor didnt know about his past incarnation's connections to the divsion, but before she can finish, he cuts her off with "well thats alright then!"
-rose joins the doctor, donna and jane in UNIT, but because she has a zeedex on her - due to her main way around the giggle being the metacrisis and her not having travelled in the TARDIS - she stays behind while they all go to the past to confront the toymaker. the toymaker ends up using rose at one point, possibly in the hypothetical 'dont tell mama' sequence as a backup dancer? idk tho lol
-the spice up your life sequence has both jane and rose get manhandled by the toymaker as well, with him purposefully bumping them together to make it appear like they're kissing - diversity win, the trickster god from another dimension who is racist sexist and vaguely transphobic supports lesbians!
-its rose and martha who pull jane into five and six after she's hit by the galvanic beam. when rose hears jane v screaming after vi appears she immediately goes on the defensive :')
-back to the toymaker being gross he keeps referring to jane as 'herr jane' and 'the timeless child' - herr is the german equivalent to mr, meaning that the toymaker now adds being openly transphobic onto his list of grossness!
-also during the "well thats alright then!" puppet show, jane asks about ryan and dan, two companions who did not die and both left on their own accord. however, the toymaker specifically brings up jane's feelings for ryan, how she never acted on them until it was too late, and how she pushed him away before he left the TARDIS. much like when the toymaker brings up the flux, jane is understandibly a bit pissed that he made sure to emphasise that

seeing the tangle tower resurgence on my feed has me thinking about my dg oc trish... she was abandoned in early 2021 but i might bring her back with a new coat of paint... they were fun (overly long explanation of hazy memories under the cut)
their whole like schtick was they're an obviously fake medium. but What If. but no she's a hack. But What If They Weren't
and there's like a series of running gags of whether or not she's been murdered, and you find her body multiple times to the point where it becomes a bit of a boy who cried wolf situation until they're like Straight Up Killed in front of grimoire and sally.
there was a hypothetical outer cast but i never fully fleshed them out because the hyperfix didn't last that long. theyre a scientist, government agent, hack spirit medium, doctor, train conductor, bellboy, and mysterious little girl (now mysterious woman).
it was a theft case turned murder - a scientist traveling on this train had a very strong poison in their possession, which had been stolen at some point on the journey. upon realizing it was gone, the train ended up being parked on the track and put on lockdown while grimoire and sally were called in. idk about the logistics of that either it's a mystery game premise
(i was playing The Raven Remastered around this time, hence the train thing. and also a dash of the Haunt The House games because i played sooooo much Haunt The House in elementary school. add a pinch of Last Train To Blue Moon Canyon and that's it that's the plot)
during the investigation, after the first round of testimony and exploration of the train, the body of the scientist would be found, and the train would suddenly start back up again. i really liekd this idea specifically because most mystery games you don't get to know the victim, so having an opportunity to chat with them some was a fun idea to me.
by this point it's a race against the clock to figure out who the killer is before the train reaches the station and the poison is (presumably) handed off to dubious parties.
the idea was mostly Vibes, i don't think i even had a planned murderer, that's how barely baked it was, i just vividly remember this bit with trish where they had channeled the ghost of the victim and recounted their last words, only for it to later be figured out that the possession was false - but the last words were accurate because trish had like been in the fucking vents or whatever (are there even vents on a train) and had witnessed the murder. at which point grim and sally are like "wait. so you saw the killer" and trish is like "yeah" which i found boundlessly funny.
and then trish is about to say the name of the killer but then she starts looking real bad and collapses over dead - she's been poisoned!! except, japes, they're actually fine and not dead, this is a ploy to catch the killer. killer gets caught and then the killer's like "but i poisoned you!! how are you still alive" and trish is like "my final jape... i've been possessing my corpse this whole time" n just, jumps off the train. farewell.
silly fucking convoluted plot but that's just how adventure games work. and i imagine everyone else could have done equally silly shit if i'd bothered to do anything with them. i get the sense that the poison was a government thing or something and that's why the agent was there, and it was like "ah a political intrigue case. with no supernatural things" and then trish is like "hi it's dubious whether or not i was dead the whole game byeeee"
they were silly. epic failgirl

This isn’t about Nintendo’s inability to not be fucking racist towards darker skinned people but like
For a town that seems to have an economy that is 100% based around merchantry and trade it seems like there wouldn’t be a snowflake’s chance in hell that a Zora would be able to last very long IN the town, let alone even getting to it
Idk I just think that’s interesting cause like obviously it’s the desert it’s gonna be pretty rough but like not even a kiddie pool or 2 for the fish people????? They’re like 1 of the 4-5 races that can do trade good and aren’t koroks
hmmm so like. the game mechanics of botw make it so in the desert being around a body of water keeps you cool. see the oasis, kara kara, etc. (also neat is equipping a flame blade gives u plus 1 cold resistance). this leads me to think that gerudo city is climate controlled because of the waterways that run along the roofs of all the buildings. (in my mind the city was built over a source of groundwater bc that's the only way it would make sense). i think it would be hypothetically possible for a zora to survive in the town, especially on a nocturnal schedule if the heat is still too much.
but i think it would be impossible for them to travel to gerudo wasteland, nevermind crossing the desert, because the zora seem to travel primarily through rivers/waterways. looking at a map, the furthest a river goes is the digdogg suspension bridge that stops just before the gerudo canyon pass. to get to that stretch of river the zora would have to swim around the castle, which would be hard i think with the calamity ooze/active guardians at the time of the playthrough as the castle activates.
honestly something i think you are getting at is that the world of botw seems very... stagnant. now this might be intentional due to the post apoc setting or it might be poor worldbuilding. but there's minimal culture in the setting and most people work with simple trade. what do people do for their pastimes? what do the gorons do besides quest-related challenges and mining? some gerudo just sit around drinking and chatting which... is a thing i guess. plus i think the gerudo have 2 crafts people and one of them sits around and does nothing until the player sets up tarry town. only the gerudo, gorons, and hylians seem to travel any great distance, and these are almost always small scale merchants. where the rest of these big settlements kinda... do nothing and wait for the odd traveller to pass through. only 3 zora seem to travel: sidon to get link, that wife washed away, the old priest for tarry town.
i understand that the game is set up in such a way that the player has stuff to buy and do. but you can also make a decent arguement for the world of tloz being implicitly hylian centric, where hylians are granted less homogeneity, more active roles in the world around them, and most actively progress the plot. you could also make the arguement that some places, especially the long lived zora, ended up becoming deeply isolationist and unwilling to engage with or help their neighbours in the face of the calamity and the death of their princess. it's an interesting thought.

What was the most stressful project you had so far while in school? Jesus, when I was still in a game design class and we had to read the most fucking boring book and then do some analysis shit of it. Who in your family are you closest to? Mom. In your opinion, what is the scariest natural disaster? Earthquakes, maybe. Or tornadoes. What time of the day is the best for you? I'm usually in my best mood in the morning. Do you have an electric toothbrush? No. Have you ever had to board up your windows because of a hurricane? No. What do you think about employers checking on personal sites before hiring employees? Sometimes I actually think it's a good idea, other times no??? Like you can get important details of someone by looking at what they post, but at the same time, social media doesn't always portray someone that well. You can get the wrong idea. Have you ever visited anyone in a rehab? No. Ice in your drink: yes or no? No. Do you prefer getting money, gift cards, or an actual gift on your birthday? Money. When was the last time you got a new bed? Is your bed comfy? Long time ago, and I guess. What was the last job you applied for? Ummm I'm not sure. Oh, I think for newborn photography. Do you have any mild food allergies? No. Who was the last person you were with that smelled REALLY good? My younger sis. Last person to make you seriously mad? Colleen. How is your mom? Stressed, always. Do you like going through old photos and recalling memories? Depends on the picture. And time. What movie coming out are you most excited to see? Why? The live-action The Lion King because it's my favorite movie. What song really gets to your heart and inspires you? "Life Won't Wait" by Ozzy. Do you see a lot of stray animals around your home? No. Do you have fireflies around where you live, or do you wish you did? In the area, yes, but we don't really see them in my yard much. Did you used to do Easter egg hunts when you were a child? Yes. Have you ever bought anybody a mug? Omg, I found one that said, "Be nice, I'm in control of your happy pills" in this random store once and I HAD to get it for my psychiatrist. He's not supposed to accept presents, so we just pretended it was from mom lol. He has it on his desk. Do you believe in divorce? In cases such as abuse, infidelity, or other pretty serious issues, yes, but I usually don't advise divorce. Communicate like mature adults and fix what you got married for. Who taught you the most valuable lesson in life and what was that lesson? "Deal with the past or the past deals with you," maybe. My Holly Hill teacher taught me a million lessons that greatly affected my outlook on many components to a healthy life. Have you ever fallen into a hole or crevice whilst hiking? While getting to fishing spots with Dad, my foot may have slipped through rocks or something. Have you ever had a serious conversation with your dad? One that I remember. He took me out to lunch one day when I was still struggling with Jason to just talk to me about relationship stuff. I cherish that memory dearly. In YOUR eyes, which of the three is the most dangerous, and which is the least: Marijuana, Alcohol, Cigarettes? Alcohol, then I'm not sure. Marijuana has a lot of dangers people like to ignore, but then again, it has some health benefits while cigs have none. What is the nerdiest thing that you own? Probably the big Illidan poster I have beside my bed lul. What is the preppiest thing that you own? *shrug* If you are popular, have you ever wondered what it would be like to have no friends? What do you think it might be like? I already just about have none, and it's lonely as fuck. If you are a loner, have you ever wondered what it would be like to be popular? What do you think it might be like? No. I don't seek popularity, just not such a lack of company. Every tattoo has a story behind it; if you have any, what are the stories behind yours? My semicolon butterfly is tribute to both the butterfly and semicolon projects. "Ohana" is obvious. "How rare and beautiful it is to even exists" just speaks deeply to me as someone who wanted to die for years. "Perfectly flawed" also means a lot to me and comes from an Otep song of the same name. "You're awful... I love you!" written in Sara's handwriting I adore because we pretty much call each other evil all the damn time all the while loving each other. :') Who do you know that has a particularly funny or annoying laugh? HA ME I HATE IT. Is there anything you do that is annoying to your friends or family? Oh, I'm sure. I'm told all the time by people to make myself at home when I'm at someone else's house standing like a statue, for one. I do this sooo much, even a bit at my sister's house when it comes to wanting a drink or something. My pacing makes people anxious, I'm told constantly. Sure there's more. What is the most number of sodas that you have drank in one day? I. DON'T WANT. TO KNOW. Until two-three months ago, I lived mostly off soda, and I do NOT know how I didn't gain weight from it. Now I absolutely refuse to go past two, but usually only get one. The idea of drinking as much as I did almost makes me nauseous. Have you ever gone through a period of mass weight-gain/weight-loss? What was that time like for you? Well first Paxil made me gain weight, but I quit it and did WiiFit all summer and lost 40 pounds. I was so proud of myself. Then, I was put on Abilify when I had no need to be, and let's not say how much it made me gain because my then-doctor was a fucking idiot that thought I was doing something terribly wrong and kept me on it, not knowing the side effects. :^) My current psychiatrist was lost entirely as to why I'd been prescribed it, and he immediately connected my weight gain to it because it *murders* metabolism. Was taken off it immediately, boom, started to melt weight with no change to my diet for quite a while. I'm still far from my normal weight. I could write a novel on how this was/is for me, but I'll just say I'm bitter as fuck and ~so~ confident in my shit body. (: If you have one, do you and your significant other have a similar taste in music? Yes. Longest plane ride you’ve ever been on? I'm sure to Michigan, but I don't remember how long it was. I was a kid. Favorite kind of bean? I absolutely loathe beans. I can't even swallow them. If you had to move to another country, where would you move? Canada, realistically. I'd love to live in Germany, but that would be much different from where I am now and would require learning an entire new language. I like Canada anyway. Does it bother you when people call you ‘ma'am’ or 'sir?’ No, it's polite...? Did you partake in senior skip days? Yup. Would you ever consider having an abortion? If my life was endangered, yes, and if - God forbid - I was raped, I possibly would because of how scarring that would be. I've said before I think pregnancy would legitimately be traumatic to me, and if it was because of that, I couldn't even begin to imagine. Have you ever lived in an apartment before? I've told the Jason & co. story before. I also stayed with Colleen for at least a month when I was technically homeless, and she was in an apartment then. Have you ever been questioned by the police? No. Have you ever been to an amusement park out of state? Yeah. Have you ever been responsible for someone’s death? Yeesh, no. Do you know a lot about serial killers? No. Have the police ever been looking for you? HAHAHAHA YES. When I went to the beach one time, my sister, a friend, and I went walking along the shore one night and apparently Mom didn't hear us mention it. Freaked the fuck out and called them to find us. Sorry, Mom. Where do you get most of your accessories from? *shrugs* Maybe HotTopic? Do you know how to shoot a gun and hit a target? No. Are you a good listener? It's complicated. I try very hard to be, but even with people I seriously care about, my mind can wander. But I really try. What was the last bad thing to happen to you? Serious, continuous loneliness. The last good thing to happen to you? I guess finding out I don't have hypoglycemia. Do you think today’s youth is being corrupted/messed up because of TV? It depends on what they watch. Some things they of course shouldn't see, but people tend to take it too far. Have your parents supported every decision you’ve made? I'm sure they haven't. Do you like to listen to rock music/screamo music when you’re angry/upset? Lol did you really just group rock and screamo up???? I'm pretty much always listening to metal or rock. I don't like purely screamo. Are you embarrassed to tell your parents you love them around your friends? Not at all. It bothers me immensely when it does bother people. What’s your favorite sappy/romantic song? Shit, I dunno. I'm a sucker for a lot. Do you know anyone who has changed their first name? Not legally, to my knowledge. Which one of your senses would you be the most devastated to lose? Sight. Hearing almost ties it. Have you ever dated someone who posted a ton of selfies on social media? No, but why does that matter??? Do you know anyone who has been on life support, and survived? I don't think so. Do your parents have a strong relationship together? They're divorced. Mom fucking hates Dad, while he's totally over it. When was the last time you attended a religious service of any sort? Well over a year ago. Do you ever feel like you're sharing too much about yourself online? Eh, nah. Are you on good or bad terms with your most recent ex? Good. What was the last necklace you wore? A spiked choker. Have you ever read any of Charles Darwin's works? No. If there was such a thing as a mental health first aid kit, what would you want to be in it? Oh boy. I'd say it'd be personal to each person. Do you think there are more dimensions than what we're able to perceive? Maybe. What was the last carbonated drink you had? I think Mtn. Dew. Does anyone in your family have schizophrenia? Yes, my half-sister. What light in your house was the last to have a bulb burn out? Living room. Have you ever been fired? If so, did you get unemployment benefits? No. Never really worked long enough to be. Do any of your neighbors have loud children? No. Have you ever been in an abandoned house? No, we were too scared to go past the doorway lol. What's your favorite YouTube channel? UM Markiplier????????????????????? Do you go to church? No. If so, what denomination is it?  N/A What is your favorite thing to make wishes on? I hope this isn't an intrusive question, but what are your thoughts on the way the stories and characters of kingdom hearts are written and handled? I tend to see several common responses with the stories being convoluted and inconsistent with it's lore, with retcons and time travel being confusing. I've also noticed that some fans preferred the more simple structure of the first game in comparison with the later games, as well as some criticism with director Tetsuya Nomura and his decisions.
In all honestly, friend, I am actually someone who is much easier to please when it comes to KH’s plot than others LOL. Under a read-more because I typed a lot haha!
I do joke about how complicated KH is, like a lot of us do, but in all seriousness: while KH’s plot is very hard/tedious to explain to others, I also feel that when one plays/watches the games one at a time, it’s very self-explanatory and really feeds you the plot one beat at a time. Yes, I do think that things such as the ansem/xehanort reports through out the games really help flesh out the more “technical” side of KH- like nobodies or heartless, but I still don’t think they’re vital to the core of the plot- If anything I feel like they just elaborate more on the more basic information we’re told by- say- Yen Sid. Though I would still say that by a landslide DDD is the most complicated game, and I had to watch the cutscene of Braig and Young Xehanort explaining things to Sora number of times to fully comprehend what they were saying LOL.
I have heard people talk about how they don’t like what 0.2 did with KH1′s ending, or that Marluxia and Ven are in KHX (or that they don’t like KHX at all), but in terms of those kind of things, I honestly have been dying for a backstory for the later half of organization 13 as well as ventus so much that heck yeah I’m excited to finally get answers for them (even though this wasn’t what I was expecting at the time LOL).
And tbh I even forgive the inconsistencies/retcons. Like, I have wondered if, hypothetically speaking, Nomura completely remade KH1 today, would he make Ansem-possessed Riku have yellow eyes? Would he take out all the parts that heavily indicate there’s only one keyblade and that it chose Sora alone? etc? Well, either way, the game is what the game is, we understand the inconsistencies and why they are they way they are. And honestly, they just don’t really bother me haha!
In terms of overall plot- my only concern is how cramped KH3 will be with it. Even before KHX was even announced I remember thinking about how much KH3 has to go over and conclude. So inserting KHX (and unchained x and union x) into the mix, as well as still going over the Disney world plots, a part of me worries the plot will be crammed- one load of information after the other. I still want emotional reunions and even the lighter scenes to take their time. I don’t know if this makes sense LOL
And I guess my other problem (that deals with the titles already made) is that I think Nomura missed out a lot with his female characters. For example, KH is constantly talking about how much the little bit of light can do for just one person. “This person is bad for now, but I know they can still be saved because there’s still a little light in them” or “fragments of light in the hearts of children saved and recreated the worlds” yada yada yada. So it’s just such a shame that title after title Kairi is pushed to the side even though her heart is 100% Pure Light. And hell even the Seven Princess in total. Bring em back!! Let them do some damage! You think Aurora wouldn’t be down with bringing Maleficent down for good??? Or like finding that small bit of light in her heart?? idk its such a shame to me personally. The Seven Princesses of heart are literally the most powerful, untapped-potential figures in the entire series, but they’re “damsels in distress” so that doesn’t matter :// those DDD hints of kairi fighting better not be abandoned in KH3
But still, one last thing I have to say is that if Nomura hypothetically traveled back to the time of planning the original Kingdom Hearts, that if he planned all the titles with the future of the series in mind, characters and retcons in all, each title would be an even better game. And that’s why I always love writers who plan.. way.. way.. ahead…

Sonic X!Rogue/Knuckles for the meme
B-But I haven’t watched more than five episodes ofSonic X  :’)  I actually hadn’t seen any of it prior to about a month ago? I’d like to watch more but it’s a work in progress, anon.
So the only real KnuxRouge content I’m familiar with is the second SonicAdventure. That’s where most of this is coming from. Under the cut~
when I started shipping it if I did:
When Knuckles saved her from falling after theirbattle at Meteor Herd. They had the hand hold moment. And then Rouge called hima creep that only saved her so that he could hold her hand. A+ dialogue. It wasgood. Very good.
my thoughts:
idk, KnuxRouge is very tropey, but I am weak. Therewas a femme fatale character. There was a sweet and strong and smart but inexperienceand dense af guy who probably wouldn’t know what flirting was if it kissed himon the nose. There was a conflict based in different ideological values. I’msorry, it was inevitable.
I suspect I would’ve started shipping it earlier ifI had played this game later in my life. At that time I was a little moretentative and relying on canon evidence before shipping. Now I’m all aboutmixing strong personalities and romance in hypothetical combinations and fuckcanon.
What makes me happy about them:
They’re both strong characters who seem to carrymore or less equal weight in the collision of their relationship. I’m actuallykind of surprised that the writers managed to not make it so that Rouge wasn’tovershadowed by Knuckles, despite the fact that he already had an established placein the series.
Also, I like that there’s a certain amount of…unseriousness to their struggle. A playfulness. Unlike Sonic and Eggman andTails legit murder attempts… For all the heatedness of Knuckles and Rouge clashingin their different ideas about duty and responsibility, when things ultimately startedtaking a more serious and fatal turn, they both came through for each otherinstead of for themselves. (I kind of joked about this before, but I do kind ofwonder if Rouge and shattering the Master Emerald do become part of a flimsyexcuse for Knuckles to justify leaving the tedium of sitting around on AngelIsland playing bodyguard to a rock.)
And, aw, the banter is fun.
What makes me sad about them:
That SA2’s plot is so, soooo bad. In terms of thisship in specific, it makes me sad that their big moment is the second time Rougewas damseled over the course of this game. And neither time she’s damseledmakes even the slightest bit of sense. What?!She’s going to fall from a great height into a pit of space lava?! She’s afucking bat!!! She can fly!!! And arguably she won that fightagainst Knuckles and, aaaaargh!!! Andthen the first time she’s damseled, she’s trapped in the military base by thepeople she’s working for as a double agent. It just makes zero sense. The plotof this game was so filled with holes and contrived BS. And I’m not evengetting into the gameplay mechanics. Ship deserved better.
In a less meta and more in-universe sense… I dothink in a romantic or otherwise emotionally intimate context, Rouge is aboutfive thousand times more adept than Knuckles. She could run circles around him,and I’m not sure you could trust her not to be manipulative about it, even ifshe had the best intentions. And she doesn’t always have the best intentions…
things done in fanfic that annoy me & things I look for in fanfic:
I haven’t really read any in detail. I pulled upsome Sonic stuff recently and was reminded uncomfortably of fanfiction relatedtropes specific to fandoms dominated by male fans. A lot of power fantasystuff, and dark morality themes that liked to think themselves complex but werereally simplistic and unsubtle, and female characters being victimised orotherwise uncritically robbed of their agency. None of this was about Knouge, but it kinda put me off the fandom. I’m sure there’s good fic hiding somewhere, but it put me off on looking for it for the time being.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:
um, idk? I have a fondness for Julie-Su/Knuckles inthe comics, even though I do think the characterisation work wasn’t always veryclever. I like the other lady Echidnas with Knux too – so Knuckles/Tikal andKnuckles/Shade are both okay, imo. I think the Knuckles/Sally friendship in thecomics was really well constructed – the way it was set up around them havingthese similar but conflicting obligations was really clever – it couldtheoretically make a great romance. And for some reason I feel utterly charmedby the idea of Knuckles/Shadow after seeing those couple of comics about them.
For Rouge… I really don’t know… I know Rouge/Shadowis popular, and I think it could be good in the hypothetical – certainlythey’ve made a more stable team than Rouge&Knux – but… idk, in terms ofcanon it feels like there’s been quite a bit of Rouge taking interest in andcare towards Shadow as an individual, and not a lot of reciprocation whereShadow really considers Rouge beyond her capacity as an ally. It just seemslike a relationship very centred around /his/ needs and /his/ existential angst.Even when Shadow goes out of his way to save Rouge’s life, it feels like it’sset up as Shadow wanting to come to terms with his own morality and define forhimself what he’s spiritually capable of rather than ‘wow, I care about Rougenot dying’. All of which kind of turns me away from the idea that Shadow would everbe romantically interested in her in a way that could possibly respect that shehas her own needs and goals and values. I mean, I think this is up forinterpretation, and I think their relationship is interesting and could developin all sorts of ways… so I’m not really against the ship, but I remain kind ofunconvinced as of now.
Ugh, I feel like Rouge femslash should be where it’sat, but… who would I pair her with other than Amy? (no.) jfc, why are importantsonic female characters in such short supply?!? and why isn’t Rouge close toany of them?!?
My happily ever after for them:
Rouge decides to stash her hoard of gems on AngelIsland. She reasons that, because they’re stored with the Master Emerald, theMaster Emerald is also part of her collection. Knuckles humours her.
I think they’re often occupied with their ownobsessions and work. They probably spend long months away from each other whenKnuckles is doing Guardian work of one type or another, and Rouge is offtreasure hunting or working as a spy. They kind of reconvene and do battlecouple things together. They probably like travelling and treasure huntingtogether too, or otherwise visiting friends on the mainland.
I’m not sure how interspecies furry babies work, butthey may have a kid. ‘One. Only one,’Rouge says. The kid spends more time with Knuckles, training to be the nextGuardian. But they’re a little more enamoured with Rouge’s lifestyle – has a tastefor grand adventure and glamour. Knuckles’s life is struggle. Much compromise andreworking the system happens in the process of trying to reconcile expectations.
who is the big spoon/little spoon:
Rouge is little spoon.A little more like their animal counterparts, I imagine Knuckles is about twiceRouge’s size. So it’s very big big spoon, and very little little spoon.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity:
I think it’s included in that happy ending up there.Treasure hunting? Visiting friends? Digging through archaeological sitestogether, maybe. Does that overlap too much with treasure hunting? It’s aboutthe journey rather than the destination, though~
They both like swimming too right? They visit hiddenhot springs and oases and relax.
Thanks anon!!
