Kyle/Green Lantern resurrects her but then he becomes convinced that she's not the same person she was before the incident, OR SOMETHING SOMETHING Black Lanterns aren't ACTUALLY bad they're just misunderstood Grim Reaper types, in either case Alex ends up breaking it off with Kyle because they've become very different people.

And then Bumble's there

And then they go to therapy or Alex adopts Bumble, and then uhhh Bumble's like one of the superpets. Like Krypto the Superdog. Free premise go forth and play with it if ur a DC fan

Death doesn't deserve to just be a villain of the week #And hell. You could explore some WILD emotions here about Alex becoming so much more than Kyle's tragedy #Can I still mourn you when you aren't dead?#What does it mean for me that the worst thing that ever happened to me has become an opportunity for her?#And... does this make me selfish for not being happy for her?#For not trying to understand the person she has become? for only thinking of how this impacts myself #RE: THIS IS NOT A DIG AT DC FANS #BUT I want to share that like... a reason I've kinda had a hard time getting into comics is because like... really interesting premises--#like that often get turned into Monster-of-the-Week struggles for the heroes to punch into submission #I've probably just seen really bad summaries or not found the editions that would appeal to me specifically #But it's kinda why the only DC hero I'm really interested in is Superman #Because a lot of his thing is that he's a good GUY #And that creates a lot of interesting moral questions #Like YES he's a good guy. YES he has no ulterior motive. But what if he DID?-- how can EVERYONE ELSE in the universe truly know that-#for sure?#And that's cool and I really like the snippets I've seen especially between him and batman #But anyway. so much fridging and misogyny in the world of comics has kinda turned me away from getting into it #because. VERY often. Misogyny can be... *tied* to a bit of a lack of imagination. Or empathy on behalf of a particular writer #RE: There is good stuff in DC PLEASE understand im not trying to be insulting

ive just rediscovered an old wip of mine and im having so much fun right now. like i havent opened the document since early 2020 and genuinely forgot it existed yet there's 90k words and so much lore and elements of basic concepts that made it to my present writing in far cooler and more complex ways and the writing isn't great but there's potential to it and idk. it's been a while since i wrote something privately and while i hugely prefer the way i do it now where i actually have a community with it and dont hole myself away and act like it's a huge shame thing, there's still something hugely reasuring about knowing this is something ive always done and that actually i was always drawn to it and had potential and that's something to remember for when my writing block gets bad or i convince myself Everything Ive Ever Done Is Awful

#like this story is one where if i tackled it with my writing abilities now it would genuinely be really good #that's how sound the basic premise is. and i have SO many wips like that with tens of thousands of words to them #and i was doing this for ZERO reward ZERO attention i wouldnt tell a SOUL not even my family #i truly just have always loved and NEEDED to write. that is such a cool thing to be able to say #anyway yeah this wip lowkey fucks. like there's lots of aspects to it that are cringe and telling of the fact i was writing it at age 16 #but the fact i came up with something so fleshed out at SIXTEEN??? insane #and this isnt even one of my big older wips. i have three that immediately come to mind that were sooo much bigger than this #like on the shorter end being 100k words and larger end easily being near 300k words #and they were JUST FOR ME like i didnt even know what ao3 WAS and i never spoke to anyone about my writing #and they WERENT FANDOM BASED. i was just casually coming up with super original detailed and COMEPLLING worlds #and characters and plots with complex twists and tropes and i was just doing it for shits #that's so fucking cool. did you ever think you'd see the day i gave past hella a pat on the back bc i didn't

#Doodles #Original #Another idea smol and I are working on together :D Been a bit!#She came up with the concept on this one and I fell in love with it <3 She's very cool hehe #If you're familiar with the game Minit it has Something of a similar premise - not the same strict time pressure but yes on the time loop #Y'ever notice how in some games it seems like the wandering trader or traveling shop seems to come upon you rather than the other way around #:3c Hm ♪ Wonder how they'd know where you were gonna be :3c #The crux is that you play as the weapons shop owner and you're responsible for supplying the hero and his team with weapons!#Except the BBEG has gotten wise to how the hero keeps defeating him and it sick of it - so the shop owner is cursed to be in a time loop!#I love the concept <3 It sounds so fun to play in and there's still plenty of room to think about the mechanics and how it would be played #As well as the art design! :D #We threw around some character concepts - she's really into Baldur's Gate 3 at the moment so of course they had some influence in hers hehe #Only got the starting party for the moment but there are plans for a full team of 4 plus the shopkeep >:3c And various other NPCs lol #A lot of the gameplay would basically boil down to being a bartering simulator hehe ♪#Very RPG trade-this-for-that style quests - under a time limit! Hehe #Since it's the type of game that pretty much requires replaying sections time-loop-style it's all about how quickly you can trial and error #And then hightail it to where you need to be lol #I think we were also tossing around a nap mechanic to skip right to the time loop reset in case you mess up a run haha #I gotta get back to Majora's Mask at some point I swear #We still have a good bit of concept work to do on the art side of things - she's also been really into pixel art lately and I love pixel art #I also managed to pick up a full release of one of the RPGMakers :D So that's an exciting possibility!#I haven't learned most of its ins and outs yet but I do know About importing custom assets at the very least >:3c #Same with Novelty and I haven't done that yet either lol - all in due time! I hope!!

one of these days i need to make a kids in the hall iceberg based on all the increasingly obscure side projects/behind-the-scenes info i've acquired over the past few months

#the only thing stopping me is all the super obscure stuff is scott related bc i don't know as many obscure things for the others #but anyway i'm currently listening to ''accidentally cool'' which would definitely be a deeper level #(it's a rock band kevin played guitar in. also i befriended the lead singer her name's tiffany)#fruit blog would also ABSOLUTELY be a super deep level #i think the most obscure one on the list might be scottland (tv show)??? bc even i can't find much info on it???#like. it might genuinely be a piece of completely lost media which is why i NEED someone to explain it to me #scottland was a tv show scott made that was supposed to be the first internet sitcom #he made it in 1999 so quality streaming video was decades away. youtube definitely wasn't a thing it was his own website #the premise for it sounds completely bizarre #and i can only find one article mentioning its existence and 2 other places online where there's any record of its existence #(both with no major additional details)#the only image we have from scottland is an image of buddy cole dressed in cartoony kings robes #scottland fucking haunts me. most buddy cole things even if i can't find them online i have reason to believe someone out there has footage #or if not there's at least reviews of the live shows and like. solid records they happened.#some of these projects were even cancelled or on websites that no longer exist. but they're been referenced since #but scottland. scottland has only EVER been written about in one 1999 article #and all other records of its existence are COMPLETELY MISSING

Well. I just finished The Wisdom of Crowds.

I somehow end up reading new books from Joe incredibly fast. This one took me three days. Well, I guess you could say four. It's 3am as I'm writing this.

Goddamn. I love how Joe ended up convincing me it would turn out nice and happy during the last 100 or so pages. Then he did the uno reverse card. Well, not a complete reverse. This was somehow still a more happy ending than I expected.

I kinda wanted to rave about how cool the book was, but my head is honestly pretty empty right now.

Anyway, how's the leg?

Her writing self indulgent self insert fantasy when she was 12 is so relatable to 12 year old selves the world over, and it coming to life in hee real adult serious business life is beyond hilarious

Also? So lovingly made??? I love the intro with bits of her city and bits of Babylon. I love that the characters from her story are played SO genuine. Like. To do this premise I guess lovingly to the child we all were, you Have to play this genuinely. And it's so sweet, and absolutely buckwild, and such a contrast between the limitless imaginative indulgence and love we had for ourselves as children versus the serious pessimistic nature of being grounded in reality and a paycheck and survival and loneliness that adulthood can have.

Kinda want to write something about time loops because time loop narratives are fucking awesome but I don't what fandom to write it for. I mean I have a few options but nothing concrete yet.

#tales of a very sad shipper #preferably the type of time loop where one of the characters is aware of the loop but the others aren't #so it's one person reliving the same situations over and over again while trying to stop it/reach a specific conclusion #I guess deltarune or undertale could be a good option then? but I don't particularly like writing for those fandoms #I find it weirdly difficult to write the dialogue. and imitating toby fox's mix of humor and drama is difficult #I could just go all drama but even then I can't capture the vibe I want. it just doesn't *feel* like the games #then I thought of danganronpa #it doesn't really have any timeline weirdness in canon but I could always make an au for that #I'm tempted to have chiaki as the protagonist- with her mission being to deal with junko and avoid her own death #it sounds like a cool premise but tbh I'm not sure I could do it justice #and I already have one danganronpa au that's being written so I don't want to write more #I don't like having multiple wips for the same fandom #and outside of that... idk #idk

I had to check up my goodreads and jfc I had COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN I once read a book from Jennifer L. Armentrout. "The problem with forever". The cover in spanish is so pretty and I loved it (I still do, tbh), but the BOOK?? Jesus. It was the one time at like 13yo I tried to read romance. Hated every minute of it (I remember having headaches reading it, but I think that was because of the font size?)

i was thinking about this the other day actually but despite being a george hater, i actually don't mind reading fanfic involving him? idk i think how he's depicted in fanfic makes him way more interesting than he is irl

#like all those horror scenarios in the prev reblog i made sound so interesting and cool #i read one galex fanfic where george was actually a robot that mercedes made in an attempt to manufacture the perfect f1 driver #and like it's perfect lol bc george legit reminds me of a robot and i love how writers can lean heavily into his mannerisms and quirks #and use them to create some fantastic storytelling and narratives #i find him so annoying irl (which is probably obvious based on my race day posts lol) but all the things that make him annoying to me #are gone when he's in a fictional setting. or they're things i can either overlook or embrace for the premise of the fic #it's been awhile since i've read f1 fic tbh but maybe i should get back into it #roscoehamiltons.txt
