CHARATER INTRODUCTION

(with picrew designs because i havent drawn all of them quite yet + slight fictional blood warning + songs I think fit them because tehehehee)

Silas Evans

The main plot follows Silas, after being murdered 5 years prior, he spent his time locked up in a building in the afterlife, for 'protection purposes' as the deities that watched him put it. After unknowingly signing his soul away to Axel. He gets his physical features messed around with a bit, so the humans wouldn't recognize him back down on earth. Axel tries to take his soul early, but it doesn't quite work, as half of Silas' soul stays with him. As his soul split, so too did his memories. While slowly regaining them, he meets new and old friends. He recognizes some of them, but can't just put his finger on who they are.

Milo Sanders

Milo went through a struggle after his best friend (and crush) died, desperately searching for someone to remind them of their lost friend, stumble across a passed out person in their backyard. They took the person in for the time being, said person being Silas. When Silas was confirmed to be good and well, Milo sent him on his way. After a run-in with some heavenly being, later to be known as Erin, they go out searching for Silas, just for Silas to find him first. Milo heavily questioned the newly bloodied state of the man, but cleaned him up regardless.

Kenneth Miller

Kenneth, or often known as Kenny, was called to an odd scene, his best friend and some blood covered ginger. Obviously very concerned, he dialed the police, and Milo frantically had to explain to the police that nothing was wrong. Kenny obviously disliked Silas, creating an odd rivalry. They remain civil for Milo's sake, but the second he's gone, you can bet they'd be at eachother's throats. Despite absolutely hating Silas, he'd do anything for Milo, creating a few surprising truces.

Hannah Evans

Hannah is someone who can think when necessary, but doesn't care most other times. Which gives her adopted father quite a headache sometimes. He still loves her though. Because she reminds him of ???. After a quick trip to the store, Hannah bumps into some redhead who is very confused, concerned, and possibly angry at her sudden idea to go shopping. Easily becoming friends, their relationship ends up growing to a more sibling like relationship. Much to Silas' confusion, apparently they are siblings. Legally. Silas doesn't remember his father much, but his father seems to recognize him.

Erin

A very wholesome being, despite some odd feel to them. Out of the main 6, they're the one that everyone says to protect at all costs, because they seem innocent. Emphasis on seem. A few days after giving some helpful insight to Milo, they bump into Silas, who evidently doesn't know them, but oh, do they know him. Erin is often mistaken for a mortal, despite not being one. After a few events, the others start to catch on that maybe, just maybe, their beloved friend Erin isn't what they seem.

Axel

After successfully signing a deal with Silas, he gets to head back to Earth. Fucking around with mortals appears fun, I guess. After a heavy amount of bloodshed, he retires back to their realm, watching. They pop by for a 'friendly' chat with Silas once in a while, making sure he doesn't get too quaint. A few slip ups happen and Silas starts regaining other parts of his soul, slowly breaking free from Axel's grip.

Lobster Man from Mars (1989)

Director: Stanley Sheff

SYNOPSIS: A movie studio executive is plagued by money problems, and requires a tax-write off to keep the IRS away. He decides to produce a film brought in by a young film writer that is utterly absurd: “Lobster Man from Mars...”

THOUGHTS/ANALYSIS: Lobster Man from Mars is a 1989 sci-fi film within a film. Opening up, we see Movie mogul J.P. Sheldrake, who is facing monetary pressure from the usual suspects: his ex-wife, the I.R.S., and so on. He decides he needs to release a movie that flops so badly he can make it a tax write-off and keep those he owes money to at bay. Fortunately, young movie writer/producer Stevie Horowitz walks in with the perfect potential film: Lobster Man from Mars, a film in the style of the old b-movie sci-fi films. The film (as a whole) becomes a film-within-a-film: The movie mogul sits in a theatre to watch the “Lobster Man from Mars” film, and we watch it as well, with a few occasional cutaways to Sheldrake to offer his thoughts. It’s an interesting setup, but was done prior in the 1968 film The Producers to much better effect. We’re also only taken out of the film a few times to see Sheldrake’s thoughts, meaning for the most part the “film in a film” element is irrelevant. With regards to the “Lobster Man from Mars” film itself, it follows a very typical b-movie sci-fi plot which it is aiming to parody: Mars is “leaking air” from it’s atmosphere, and so the ruler of Mars sends the dreaded lobster man and his assistant Mombo, who resembles a gorilla in a space helmet, to go to Earth and steal all it’s air...? Honestly, I’m not sure how they’re going to steal Earth’s air, and how it’s going to help if Mars is “leaking” any air it gets anyway, but regardless, when they arrive on Earth, the killing starts, and anyone who gets in their way gets turned into a pile of bones.

The film mostly plays it straight, with the film-in-a-film just being played without any commentary or over-the-top parody: it could easily pass for an actual b-movie. This is both a core strength and a weakness in the film: the best comedic moments come from the film playing it completely straight without any overt humourous moments, and it is the unexpected moments that provide the best comedy. The drawback to this is that it sometimes plays it too straight, and you forget you’re watching something that is supposed to be funny for fairly long stretches. The humour also feels fairly niche, in the sense that you would have to have actually watched these films originally to really get what it is parodying. Some of the really niche references, such as Colonel Ankrum being a reference to Morris Ankrum, who played similar characters in 1950′s films, is only going to be understood by a fraction of viewers. It definitely gets the b-movie feel right, but in 1989, there was plenty of other parodies of the genre that offered something new and entertaining from an entertainment perspective. This film just feels like it goes through the motions while reminding you it is a parody from time to time. There were a few of these b-movie parodies in the 80′s, but they typically went for a more upfront comedy and absurd premise, such as Killer Klowns from Outer Space. While a plot about Mars leaking air sounds quite silly, it definitely fits the b-movie mold, and would probably have fit right in. Although released in 1989, the film was actually written about ten years earlier, and it definitely feels that way. Lobster Man from Mars does something a little different, but it altogether feels a bit too niche and relies too much on in-jokes to appeal to a more general audience.

16. your favorite childhood song- My favorite songs prior to the age of like 9 (when i got into theatre and emo music and shit) were demons by imagine dragons and part of the nine minute megasong off american idiot that im not gonna say the title of because its 15 different titles. overall songs for the losers - wicked (crusher) and down the river (the crane wives). the former bc these people are aware that they are not exactly Good or at least haven't done the greatest things both in terms of their initial two lives (pre-pmtok and pmtok events) but there is like. an attempt that they're trying to make to be better people. the latter is pretty accurate to either people they disliked in their pre-pmtok lives as well as towards olly to some extent since *gestures to the bottom of the lore iceberg i made*

taniel - ship in a bottle (fin argus) because. yeah. it isn't even the fact that he's a pirate captain that made me go "yep this is a taniel song" it just. is very accurate to what part of his character is like. but also never love an anchor (the crane wives) very much fits part of his pre-pmtok backstory (sdfgh what i will elaborate is that. taniel did in fact get bitches prior to holt and jp. emphasis on past tense)

saxen - not the ghost (the crane wives). i mean the possession lore did effect her quite a bit but this is more of just. referring to her backstory in general. if going for ones w/ others though then allies or enemies (the crane wives) fits her and coda, curses (the crane wives) works for just stapscisspunch in general, and just for tonight (circusP) works for her and coda as well

Auuh this one sounds dumb, but the best explanation of it is that I headcanon that way way way back pre Cthulupocalypse, before him being The Guide was even an inkling of a thought, The Wall of Flesh was actually some eldritch horror that dragged into the world along with Cthulhu and ended up dumped in the underworld with no recollection of anything prior. He had no ties to the world, no relation to the corruption/crimson/hallow, no sense of duty, nothing. He was just a big, fucked up, scary meatblob that was eating whatever he wanted, doing whatever he wanted, and just. Sitting there, letting demons try kissing up to him SO he wouldn’t eat them. Hence the Emperor of the Underworld title. The deal with the evil biomes and ‘becoming’ the Guide we all know and love was that he got ‘‘‘‘recruited’‘‘‘ by the dryads (and others) to actually do that job. The deal (which, imo, is shit on his side) was that if he acted as a vessel for this awful stuff, he could go where he wants instead of being stuck down there, and he would be free to wander (and proceeded to semi willingly get pushed into acting the other half of his role). He’s had a lot of reform over those hundreds of years! He used to be a total piece of shit! Be glad!

I mention this because some individuals who call themselves “parapsychologists” are not scientists. They are better described as paranormal enthusiasts, ghost hunters, exorcists, or other practitioners of occult or esoteric arts. While such activities are interesting to many in the general population, the people engaged in them are not practicing science as defined by the AAAS, and as such their use of the term parapsychologist is inappropriate.

How to see UFOs on a consistent basis - Honestly!

Hello there, I'm not sure how many will react to the following but, after a fair bit of consideration, I gathered that starting a thread and trying to tell as many people as possible of my experiences was probably the right thing to do by any definition. Over the last year and a half, I've had some incredible experiences that I've kept quiet for various reasons (anxiousness, mostly). In the summer of 2010, I began to see UFOs at an incredibly consistent rate, and it started with what I can only describe as a spiritual experience - a realisation of a God which I had never previously believed in; a self-evidence of an infinitely loving being of which we are all conjoined with and part of. This experience consisted of a euphoria unlike anything I have ever felt in my life, and was about as life changing an event as I could ever imagine. During that experience, like I say, I saw my first proper UFO. It was a long, black, thin cigar shaped craft, with a single white light attatched to it. It moved across the landscape and, as it did so, the light steadily got brighter until it engulfed the whole craft, at which point it then flashed brightly and disappeared. My friend and I were absolutely astonished - I had gone on about UFOs to anyone who would listen prior to that experience, though I never believed that I would see one in my lifetime! What followed from that day was everything I could've ever wished for on that front. My eyes remain firmly fixated on the sky over the next year and a half, and to say that I have seen hundreds of UFOs would be an understatement. I'm sure many of you will be sceptical at this point, but I'll continue because, as I said previously, I think it's of absolutely crucial importance that it is known that anyone can see UFO phenomena with the right state of mind, and with the right intention. The reason I've seen so many is because of a process called morphic resonance. It is a process that exists amongst all of nature and, to a lesser state, all of humanity, and is a term coined by Rupert Sheldrake - an esteemed biologist and parapsychologist that graduated from Cambridge. In essence, morphic resonance is the transference of ideas and emotions via morphic fields - a transferrence that occurs exterior to the five senses. It is the reason that birds are able to swarm, that fish are able to swim in schoals, and it is why dogs can recognise that their owners are coming home minutes in advance (my Dad's dogs can do this twenty minutes in advance, despite his lack of a routined lifestyle, making short work of the explanation that his dogs are working habitually). Further, it is also the mechanism responsible for telepathy, as we have conscious control over morphic resonance by means of intention. It's here that I can explain in greater detail how to actually see a UFO. UFO appearance became far, far more prevalent after I started consciously looking for them, instead of simply looking to the skies. The reason for this is because a stronger morphic field, governed by intention, was being set up between the phenomena and myself. This may sound fairly mystical, but it is something that happens amongst every conscious human on this planet. There are morphic fields between all of us - we're just so out of touch with our psychology that we are unable to sense it. Animals, due to the fact that they do not live in a society which has conditioned them away from nature, are different in this sense. Animals are better than us, in this aspect, no doubt. So, how do you see a UFO? You must have an absolute intent of doing so. You must remain fixated on the goal of seeing one, and you must do so over a course of days and weeks (strengthening the morphic field and, in turn, morphic resonance). My conclusion, given the link between morphic resonance and prevalence of UFO phenomena is that the phenomena itself can be explained in terms of their being intelligent, telepathic life-forms, who have wiped out all forms of social conditioning from their awareness and personality. They have the intelligence that we do (and more), yet they are also spiritually developed to the extent that they are in touch with nature, and are directly aware of processes such as morphic resonance. They are so aware of it that they can fully manipulate it and respond to it, and the UFO phenomena I have seen (don't just take my word for it - it's all over the internet) points towards the fact that these beings can also swarm in the way in which birds, ants, bees and other animals can. I won't stop here...many of you are probably thoroughly disgusted already by the pseudo-scientific nature of what I have just proposed, but there is a way that you can directly increase morphic resonance and, in turn, the tendancy to see UFO phenomena, and there's a very clear and distinct reason as to why such a controversial suggestion is valid. If anyone is prone to dabbling with narcotics, or has experimented in the past, then you can be more prone to seeing UFO phenomena, and not because you are some sort of hallucinating lunatic that is completely unable to control your perceptions. When you smoke marijuana, or take a hallucinogenic/dissociative substance, you knock out a signficant enough portion of the social part of your personality (you are expanding your consciousness, in a sense, as it directly impacts your ego), and this increases morphic resonance and strengthens your morphic field with others. To those of you that have dabbled in the past and continue to do so, have you not noticed the closeness and intimacy you feel with another or a group of people when both/all of you are some sort of psychedelic, in particular? Do you not feel as if you intuitively know what is happening in someone else's mind? The reason, if the answer is yes, is not just reading of body language as many would have you believe - it is morphic resonance. Now, I appreciate that what I have said here is quite a lot to digest. In fact, I'd be very surprised if people took what I have just said at face value without a bit of research, and also a bit of observation. I'm also guessing that there are people out there who would immediately put this down to suggestion, obsession, and insanity given the nature of what I have proposed. However... My challenge to you all is this... Look to the skies, fix your intent on seeing UFO phenomena, do it in conjunction with the method I have also outlined secondly if that is your thing (it is not necessary, but you will have much greater and immediate success via this method. A similarly effective method, if this is not your thing, and for the same reasons, is to enter a meditative state and then look out for the phenomena), and you may end up seeing something incredible. From my experience, it is imperative that you are ready to see this phenomena, and are in a good enough mental state to digest it as such. I believe these beings are not here to frighten us, and have been trying to reveal themselves throughout history in such a fashion as to allow us to become comfortable with their presence. I have had more experiences that I will perhaps go over in detail at later points that have drawn me to this conclusion, but for now I suggest that, for everyone who does want to see a UFO, you keep your eyes to the skies, and 'intend' to see UFOs. Keep a clear mind, and you will see something eventually.

Obsess about what you’re trying to convey.

3, Fall in love with the song

There’s no point singing a song you don’t love just because it might show a top C!

4, Mark your breaths in

Think about the sentences. Great singers phrase brilliantly but you can’t phrase without the solid foundation of breath. Learn to Breathe!

5, You are unique

Don’t try to sound like someone else. I’m never going be Ben Platt but then he’s never going play Trekkie Monster! Be yourself. Test: Sing ‘Happy Birthday’ without ‘adding’ anything. That’s your voice! Embrace it. The rest is all colours and shading.
