i need to talk about how much i love the pjo show's way of introducing annabeth's character's backstory, specifically through her getting used to percy's chronic loyalty

the way she attacks him with a hug both times she thought he might've been gone forever??? (the arch and after he returns to chb) this girl who doesn't hold her breath over people staying around for her, who is so so relieved everytime percy comes back to her

the way she is absolutely appalled by percy's insisent reassurance. his "i'm perfectly comfortable with that, people make mistakes" his "people who love you shouldn't treat you like that" his "you are better at this than me, you just are" this is just percy being percy, always seeing the best in people, and never once treating her like she has to prove anything to him to be treated with care

and she's so caught off guard every time!! she tells grover to tell percy to pull himself together. she tells him "i guess so" when he asks if he has to earn it with her too. she is IMMEDIATELY at a loss for words when percy tells her that she's the one meant for the quest. that she's better at this. that he's not trying to sacrifice himself for his own glory, it has nothing to do with him, he's only thinking of her

and that's so new to annabeth!! someone who isn't trying to make her prove anything! someone who from the beginning saw her worth! not someone like her mother, who would see her die because she felt embarassed by her. not someone like her father, who loved her at first and because of someone else, began to not(or at least she thought so). not like Thalia, who made her prove herself, who for all valiance, still died, still left her. not like Luke, who promised family, and then betrayed her.

The panic l’manburg had after the final control room because they just lost so much. A friend and a soldier. They knew they were screwed now. Eret wasn’t there to gather materials anymore, so all they had was tubbo. During a war, only having one person to gather like that is not great. Plus, than war efforts, what were they to do without their best friend? Without their eret? Suddenly the one in their lives everyday would never be there again. From being down in that small van protected by walls into elaborate castles and tall towers. Do you think they would ever be able to break the barriers between them again? Do you think they couldn’t silence the thoughts that every memory with eret was fake?

But they did not lose hope. They still had each other. they were growing along with their home, and it was gonna be okay. Even when the small things hurt, like the lunch they left to eat later that’s still in van, or the long red skirt of theirs Tommy used to clean up water and never finished the job. It consumed them every second that she left too quick and never claimed all the parts of herself she had dropped into their lives. Into their home. But they were consumed together. Maybe they could dig through those trenches together, Whether those trenches be the ones of war or friendship.

Do you ever think about the final control room guys. Do you think the effects of it were the l’manburgians learning to make faith out of despair. Do you think they carried that belief throughout their lives even if it was subconscious?

somehwere around season 4 when the writers throw awat the swarkles relationahip after like two to three episodes, himym just becomes unwatchable. they completely morph lily’s character, they flandarize marshall, theres consistence errors left and right. at a certain point you can only hear ted meaningfully ramble about how this moment was important in leading up to tracy when it really wasnt so many times. every time ted decides he likes robin again its infuriating like haven’t we moved past this time and time again? you get tired of seeing the same three shots they have of those fuck-ass kids. its kind of awful. they really hit their stride right away with those first few seasons and they had so much potental and it just makes me so goddamn mad.

battle of the bands au where the nerdy prudes have been in a band since they all became friends in middle school and it’s senior and they finally got enough courage to actually sign up. but their bassist is travis coulson, their friend who transferred to sycamore, and therefore is “not allowed” to perform in battle of the bands. they put up signs for an auditions but no one tries out for the spot bc they’re such losers. then in a lemonade mouth moment steph and richie get detention together (steph for being on her phone, richie for telling the teacher she’s an idiot) and richie finds out steph plays bass. he begs her to join so they can still compete and she honestly does it bc he’s making them sound so pathetic and she feels bad for him. then she joins and falls in love w pete during the practices and they win!

The Darlings and Love Language

1st Order of business... What would ya'll say the Love Language of a White Scars is? I'm still working on the plot for the White Scar. Ultimately the Imperial Fist darling is going to be a chapter serf so my streak of only using civilian darlings is going to end.

2nd order of business... I'm wanting to do a lot more alternative darlings/unique darlings. Like the single/widow darling (Ori) of the Iron Warrior, Yrac's darling H3X, the sprinter darling of Ghosk. Like feel free to give me some ideas and who knows I might get distracted and write something.

The nuclear meltdown robot reminds me of a minesweeper robot that would use one of it's many legs to trigger a mine, losing it in the process. At a certain point it would be dragging itself by a single leg just to lose it on one last mine. I think the military deemed it inhumane after watching it "suffer" on its last leg, even though it is a robot that doesn't feel pain and is designed to destroy itself for human lives
