I am just so excited to finally have the beautiful Satterlly's Maid Eleanor dress in TF, AF, and EF in The Sims 2! She's got pregnancy and fat morphs, as well. Everything seems to be working fine in game from my testing, but, as usual, I am still an amateur and there's always room for improvement. She comes in 6 of the original colors.
For a future project, I want to add a capelet and make an outerwear version. Too many ideas, too little time. You'll definitely be seeing this in New Whitby during our current rotation at the Prices!

Three Vintage Simstress Dresses 4t2
My first 4t2 clothing conversions! These too a bit longer than I've expected, and I've definitely learned a lot. Some things were easier than expected and some... not so much.
The AF mesh is enabled for elders, and the TF version is repo'd to the AF files, so it needs those to function. The Casual and Velvet Dresses are everyday and outwear, while the Day Dress is just enabled for everyday.
The original dresses are by @vintagesimstress and can be found here, here and here! Shoes are somewhat edited 4t2 boots by @janika31 and @deedee-sims, and the tights for the TF version are from @oldtimeyskellington.
Files are compressed and tooltipped!

Things We've Learned, or Excuses and Justifications:
The original TS4 textures were HQ compatible and too big for TS2, and except for the Velvet dress they didn't want to reduce down without going muddy. So most of the swatches are new based on Vintage Simstress' PSDs and some Victorian color palettes I found.
On that note, there are way too many swatches and almost 300 files. I'll probably make that mistake again.
I found the original pattern and a second pattern I liked for the Day Dress on Colour Lovers. There are also additional swatches using parts of old textures from AAS dresses.
I added a collar to the Velvet Dress, and the cuffs were remapped a smidge to work with the new lace patterns.
These don't have morphs because I couldn't get the 5gd meshes to import into Blender for some reason. I'll update the meshes once I can figure out that nonsense.
Sims can sit down; and the skirt shouldn't clip though most tables, desks, etc; but will still clip though some things. Bars are a notable issue.
I learned a lot doing this, and in classic Nykteia style, I definitely overcomplicated some parts and overthought some things.
I love the original dresses so much and I really hope I did them even an ounce of justice.

Swatches; there are also 3 black mourning recolors for the Day Dress that I didn't save the patterns for.

300 Follower's Gift
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hello! 300 Followers WOW! Anyway, here is the lot as promised. This charming little Victorian home is warm, welcoming and move in ready. There is minimal CC. It is not included because I think it is better to check out the creator's page for the stuff, who knows you may find a new Tumblr crush. However, if you download from Lord Crumps, Tvickie, and Pixelated Sims, then you may have the items in your game already and they will show up as soon as you install. If you do not, then you can find them here:
Lord Crumps All 4t2 Walls
Lord Crumps All 4T2 Floors
TVickie Flora Replacement
Lord Crumps DR Plants
Pixelated Sim Siding
As always, my lots are very modestly furnished, feel free to add or remove whatever you like.
Always make a backup of your game before installing this or any DLC into your game to prevent permanent loss of all your hard work in your game.
I used TS2 UC to makeover this lot. This lot is CC free. If there are ANY issues, please let me know, so I can fix and re-upload. Enjoy.

Long Men's Nightshirt
Tumblr media
Happy Tuesday! Today you're getting a simple 19th-century style nightshirt, an edit of @historicalsimslife's Edwardian Men's Nightgown. I've finally sort of figured out weight transfers. I did not enjoy it. But the weights are fine, so that's good.

Just the one white swatch this time. Feel free to recolor if you want!

Today we are getting rid of two outfits i never really liked, ever: Tracksuit and sweats. In their place I made 2 separate defaults from one mesh, @mdpthatsme 's conversion of Victorian Vest.
It's for YA-adults-elders, everyday and athletic.

The 20th anniversary of the Sims 2's coming up next month
Fun fact.
Also, on a semi-related note, I'm FINALLY doing a definitive remodel of the Goth house. (I've done it once before but the LAST time I did it they added in ponds like immediately afterwards and a pond was a significant feature in the remodel.)
Just to give you a scope on how HUGE this remodel is, here's some quick numbers:
It took me exactly 6 minutes and 32 seconds to strip the landscaping, delete the furniture, and lower the foundation of Ophelia Villa in its original lot in Willow Creek. I then saved a copy of the resulting house and then bulldozed the lot entirely before moving on to Oakenstead. (moving it from a 30x20 lot to a 50x50 lot)
It took about two minutes to strip the spandrels, trims, windows, porches, doors, etc.
Landscaping has taken me 24 minutes just this session. JUST. THIS. SESSION. At the rate everything is going, it will probably about an hour total on JUST landscaping.
The remainder of the 2 hour 6 minute recording is dedicated to the structure of the house--this includes setting wall height, reconfiguring porches, remaking the rooms, setting windows, spandrals, fences--EVERYTHING but paint and interior flooring. If you're keeping score, you'll see that that's 96 minutes JUST for that.
Anyway, here's a sneak peak of things so far. I am going to be uploading the final and complete speedbuild of the new Ophelia Villa for everyone to enjoy, as well as placing it on the gallery. You will need most of, if not all packs. No CC will be used.

(this guy reminds me of Reaver from Fable, anyone else see it?)

Is this very much at all? In retrospect, no. But considering the fact that I legitimately was able to watch Caddicarus's ENTIRE Crash Bash 200% video during this recording session, I think that should just be indicative of how HUGEEEE this is.

This 4t2 conversion is something I've been working on for a month or two now. It has challenged me in new and unexpected ways, and I've learned so very much. It has reminded me why I love The Sims 2 community--it is filled with kind, helpful, supportive people in a way that few gaming communities can boast.
Thank you to @letomills, The Historical Sims Discord, The Sims 2 Shenanigans Discord, and the PBK Discord for the advice and help troubleshooting.
This is a conversion of @notsooldmadcatlady's 1830s-40s Gentleman. It has 4530 polys, comes in TM, AM, and EM, and includes fat morphs. I've done my best to make sure all the morphs are looking smooth and nice. The way that elders hold their head forward does, in some positions, cause some clipping with the neck. I can't find a way to make this avoidable, but I personally don't find it horribly noticeable. It's only noticeable in some positions in-game. It looks worst in Create a Sim, shown below:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can also see that the TM fat morph is wonky in Create a Sim as well, but it looks great in-game.
Regardless of these issues, I think you will love the mesh as much as I do!

having fun with this scholarly sim in the lovely abandoned victorian mansion lot from the dark project on mts, which came mostly unfurnished & took me the better part of a day to finish decorating.
i made very few changes to the architecture (such as adding two extra fireplaces upstairs), and for the interior decor i went with a dark academia theme for which i saw no need to change the wall/floor coverings. i mostly chose candles for the lighting even though the house is obviously wired for electricity. there is no tv or computer, but there is an antique wall phone (not pictured).
once i was done making the house livable i created a suitable occupant, as shown. their name is george percy (in homage to byron & shelley, but also george sand) and their cat's name is algernon. george has the knowledge aspiration and their lifetime want is to reach the top of the journalism career (i believe they're at the 3rd or 4th career level atm). i imagine them being a sort of paranormal investigator and amateur antiquarian.
when the old-fashioned radio is playing it's usually tuned to the jazz station in the afternoon and classical in the evening. i may add more clutter to this house in the future but for now i'm pretty satisfied with how it came out. and i love the last pic, it totally looks like george is turning to algernon for help with a crossword clue! XD
