Been on a book fan art kick the last month, and have done 6 pieces from some of my favorite books. We'll start off with the series I'm currently reading; The Sun Eater by Christopher Ruocchio.
This is my take on the MC, Hadrian Marlowe. I'm only a few hundred pages into the second book, but thoroughly enjoyed Empire of Silence. Good space opera, if you're into that sort of thing.

“Sad is like a big ocean, and you can’t breathe deep down. You can float on it, you can swim a little, but be careful. Grief is drowning. Grief is deep water.”

Unstoppable force (continuing my Stormlight Archive reread with Words of Radiance) meets immovable object (Disquiet Gods is out tomorrow, I can't start anything now because I'm going to be Reading That Book)

Funny thing about endings--until the suns burn down and all is cold, nothing is ended. The players only change.

“Deep truths there may be, but none is deeper than this: Those lost to us do not return, nor the years turn back. Rather it is that we carry a piece of those lost to us within ourselves, or on our backs. Thus ghosts are real, and we never escape them.”
Christopher Ruocchio, Howling Dark
