Ok but whenever Will missed school in the past something was wrong! He missed school when he was kidnapped into the upside down and he missed school when the mindflayer possessed him. And Mike is the only one that payed extra attention to Will being missing on both days.

So let me just headcanon that after Will moved away Mike had to remind himself everyday that Will was missing school because he moved away and not because something bad had happened to him.

Ugh to be thrown into this trauma yet again

Atla live action spoiler:

Seeing a group of benders of special powers that normally abhor violence and keep peace, that meditate, respect life and train their apprentices in this, that are normally completely defensive fighters living in peace and harmony with the world and themselfs being forced to become soldiers in war. (A council of masters making stupid asf decicions again😒)

An unallowed close friendship/ brotherly bond between a master and his apprentice and their tragic separation when they both deserved better

A choosen one being forced to take a power that is so massive that no one will ever understand him, that no one ever will be able to truly help him with. To take responcebility over the savety of a whole world when he is just a kid that never got to have a real childhood, which all of it he never asked for and would give up immediately if he could.

Seeing a dark empire storming this peaceful temple, attacking this peaceful people, k*lling everyone and burning everything down in the middle of the night when they were never expecting it. Seeing masters fall, seeing younglings crouched down scared to death and traumatised, fearing for their lives completely defensless just for being k*lled then.

Ugh i was so not ready to go through that again especially not in the very first 20 minutes.

I couldn't help but seeing a jedi falling in my mind for every air bender who fell, seeing the younglings crouched down when i saw the air bender kids crouched down. Seeing the clones firing in every fire bender doing so.

Atla was my favourite show as a kid and this tragedy is sad and emotional enough already itself, but the connection i now saw to order 66 and to actually seeing it instead of just hearing that it happened just made it even worse
