Whilst I don’t want to seem like I’m “stuck” on Dave when it’s pretty obvious Klaus can’t be with him, I’m a little disappointed that we had a scene where we find out that Allison looked Ray up and how he lived his life, the same for Viktor, he even gets to talk to Harlan about Sissy (tho not for long💀) but Klaus went through all of that and we don’t even know if it worked?

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s pretty likely that Dave died in Vietnam but it seems like he joined up sooner than he may have in the original timeline (whether Klaus mixed that up or whether it was because of his interference that made Dave do it sooner we don’t know) but that slight change in the timeline could possibly change Dave’s outcome (as I said its highly unlikely but even so) but we don’t hear if Klaus even looked him up (I mean it’s probably likely that he didn’t want to because that would only solidify the fact that he couldn’t help him and make him feel like shit)

So I get not looking him up, but this lad dies like 100 times and your telling me he didn’t even check up on Dave in the afterlife? A quick, hey love ya, how’s death serving you? Or would that make him too tempted to stay in the afterlife?

I think Klaus does need to leave Dave behind now but the man didn’t even have a mention this season and idk, it just felt odd

in the scene where allison “apologizes” to viktor not once does she actually say the words “i’m sorry” or admit to any wrong doings, and i remember thinking how terrible of an apology it was BUT NOW IT MAKES SENSE because she never had a change of heart to begin with!!! allison couldn’t even bring herself to say those words because she truly believed that viktor was still solely at fault and the writing for that scene reflects that so well without being super obvious

How can Ben learn he existed and died in another dimension and not want to learn anything about that? Whether it is because of curiosity or security (he could prevent the same death in this universe) he doesn't ask questions about his other him, like real questions, not just "why did you like him?" HE DOESN'T EVEN ASK FOR HIS NUMBER though it seems to be very important for him! He really doesn't care!

(plus the fact he's the only sparrow left in the last scene... Like dude, at least try to worry about your last sibling still alive, or search for the ones who died since Luther seemed to resurrect)

If you had told me just a few days ago that I would like Lila (far) more than Allison I would've laughed at you. How quickly things can change

I mean, I understand where Allison was coming from; she'd been hurt and lied to, and lost the families that she worked hard to build more than once. But that didn't give her the right to rumor Luther into, yknow. And it didn't give her the right to destroy the rest of the family's newfound happiness (especially Luther's with Sloane) by transporting them to a new reality or whatever. I understand that sometimes you have to be selfish in order to finally find happiness and peace and get what you want, but I think she took it a step too far.

Not only that, but (in my opinion) it was wildly out of character for her to do some of the things she did, especially when it makes it really difficult for her to have further character development in the future because of it. Nothing she says or does is going to make up for the fact that she SA'd Luther (btw I hope they don't continue to brush over it in the new season. I hope she faces consequences for her actions.)

For me, this is especially painful because she was one of my favorite characters. She was the type where, even if you had others you preferred over her, you couldn't deny how sweet and likable she was, and how devoted she was to her family. In season 1, that one time where she snapped at Viktor because she was angry at her ex husband, Patrick, for not letting her speak to Claire, she ended up apologizing to him, and continuously forgave him, even after he accidentally hurt her. She was also one of the only siblings who actively tried to include him in things, even after he wrote that book.

Now, I'm not saying she didn't have her flaws in the first 2 seasons, she did, but it was much easier to accept and forgive her for them because she came from such an honest and loving place

Tldr: there are ways they could have made Allison's character in season 3 more sympathetic and relatable while still have her leaning more towards a villainous role without completely butchering her, which is what they did

i headcanoned that five was the creator of the commission back in S1 so glad to have been right even if everyone thinks it makes no sense

like he's the only known natural time traveller and knows that every little event can change or destroy timelines. his future self said "don't save the world" and the commission was always about letting these prime events (almost said nexus event ahsjdj) happen. as the handler said "sometime worlds end, it's part of the cycle" (not a direct quote btw) five learns this. he knows they need order.

anyways still hoping to see more of the other 42 (47?) alien power babies next season (i have an au where there's someone who has time travelling powers and she's like the completion to five bc y'know he's space-time (spacial jumping being primary) and she's time-space (time travelling being primary) also someone who can feel and project emotions and memories, etc. so many ideas for the others)

ok so post umbrella academy season three thoughts:

i feel like i like this season especially just for how it dealt with all the loose ends that the season 2 time travel debacle left us with and now that the umbrellas (and sparrows) have dealt with those consequences the world had been remade once again and next we will be seeing everyone in a??? world where they so far dont have any powers anymore (that being said im guessing its because of the machine reggie needed to use and allison didnt get sucked into it so she surely still has her powers left) and where obviously things will still be weird since its the hargreeves that were talking about - and its all leading to the audience getting to know more and more about reggie's final motives.

allison going a bit off the rails this season made sense to me tbh and i just wish she didnt have to do all the self destructive things that she did, and sparrow academy ben being a 'dickhead' or more hostile also made sense since he was the number two or rather, demoted number one in his family who seeked his father's approval (thus his personality clashes a lot with diego's and reminded me of early season 1 luther) but all in all he is just a big softie who wanted to be accepted by the umbrellas and he gave viktor advice to stop wallowing in his sadness and!! im just really excited with what theyll do next with his character and netflix better keep promoting this show 😤

Okay so, this is an entirely new timeline. New in the sense that reggie now owns half of the fucking city, he’s got his wife babe Abigail and the brellies don’t have powers.

But it goes beyond that, the Umbrella academy never existed, likely never existed back in the 60s either. The “Kennedy 6” never having been there.

Klaus doesn’t have his tattoos. Not just missing the umbrella one, because he wasn’t in the umbrella academy that didn’t exist, his hand tattoos too, because he wasn’t a human Ouija board, if he wasn’t a human ouija board surely he can’t have his skull tattoo, which means he wouldn’t have known Dave. This is like an entirely new universe rather than timeline.

But that makes me think, going off the idea that the commission killed Dave to send Klaus back to 2019, is Dave still alive, as an old man? Did he make it through the Vietnam war? (We aren’t even going to mention aids) is he living a happy gay life after all? Having never ever known Klaus or met him.

Allison made a deal with Reggie so she could have Claire and Raymond, so I guess, unfortunately, Dave hasn’t materialised in 2019 the way Raymond did. Cissy and Harlan never knew Viktor, Harlan never had to go through that shit (they’re very likely still on the farm :()

Leonard could potentially still be alive, (maybe he never killed his father? Or was that always going to happen?) Patch could still be alive etc

now that i’m talking abt s3 i’m gonna mention how allison’s victim complex this season pissed me Off bc she

• SA’d luther

• murdered harlan just to make viktor feel horrible

• continued to prove herself as an unreliable member of the family by constantly taking her anger out on people that didn’t deserve it (beyond that time she and diego beat up racists that’s the one and only time she served this season)

• almost killed viktor by using her powers against him until he couldn’t breathe

• told viktor that she didn’t do anything wrong and he’s the one who should feel bad because he’s the one who did something bad to Her (which he did, but this isn’t just a one way thing girl you also broke his trust 😭)

• USED VIKTOR’S TRAUMA AGAINST HIM AND TOLD HIM THEY SHOULDVE LEFT HIM IN THE BASEMENT??

• not once did she actually give an apology (beyond the half assed one she gave to luther) to viktor for any of these things iirc (unless she did and i’m just a dumbass)

• used her trauma as an excuse for these shitty things, and in the beginning it was understandable i Guess until she got gradually worse and did irredeemable things. like c’mon now babes stand up ure better than this

and then has the audacity?? to act like they’re being shitheads to her?? for believing that she’s the one who struck a deal with reginald?? as if they would have any reason to trust her/believe otherwise considering everything she’s done this season?? WSPECIALLY CONSIDERING THEY WERE RIGHT??
