Geralt of Rivia is an adult, he faced death countless times. He survived things that nobody should be able to survive. That man is no coward by any means. Until Vesemir calls him. Not just "Geralt". Not even "Geralt of Rivia". But that long ridiculous thing he conjured years ago. That thing Vesemir himself talked him out of using.

Love being reminded that Geralt is the character of all time. He’s a horse girl. He’s a girl dad. Before he went out on the path he gave himself 5 names to seem more like a knight but everyone bullied him about it so he settled for being called ��of Rivia” even though he was not from Rivia and had only been there once after he’d become a Witcher. He’s constantly bullied by everyone around him because he’s an idiot. His two best friends are a bard and an elderly higher vampire who doesn’t drink human blood because the last time he did he got so drunk on it he flew directly into a building. He names every horse he owns Roach and always picks chestnut mares. He’s centuries old and didn’t know about periods until he got Ciri and he and the other Witchers got chewed out by a sorceress for not knowing what periods were

I want to add that I'm specifically imagining Aiden hissing at the wolves while this happens. Sometimes one of them will jump up to grab him and he swats them away

None of the Witchers know how humans work. The only thing they know is that they're weaker and more delicate then Witchers, and they need to be careful when handling them.

Then Geralt brings home a bard for the winter, and all they know is that this human makes their brother happy and he's Pack now, so they need to take Very Good Care of him.

Jaskier is not impressed by these over-bearing, mother-henning Wolves.

One thing Geralt can't help but notice about Jaskier is that the bard never sets foot outside when it rains. If there are clouds in the sky and even the slightest drizzle threatens, Jaskier remains tucked away in whatever inn they're staying at. On the road, it's the same—when they're camping, Jaskier refuses to leave the tent if there's so much as a mist.

Geralt finds it peculiar, sure, but not entirely out of character. Jaskier has his quirks, and this one barely registers among the stranger ones.

Geralt doesn’t know that Jaskier avoids the rain for a specific reason: he's half-siren. And for him, getting wet means triggering a transformation. Years of unexpected shifts have taught him to avoid moisture at all costs. Rain soaks his clothes and skin—and the next thing he knows, he's flopped helplessly on the forest floor with a tail where his legs should be, waiting miserably to dry off and shift back. It's uncomfortable, undignified, and deeply inconvenient. So, Jaskier stays dry. Always
