This fanworks festival centres around Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort falling in love (or obsession, or lust, or all of the above) AFTER the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Whether or not the epilogue is canon is up to you based on the themes and plot to your fanfic, fanart, etc.

Have you ever wanted to explore a post-hallows story where Voldemort comes back as a ghost and becomes Harry’s roommate (and they were roommates!) before it turns to more? No, hrm. Well, what about a post-epilogue situation where Harry misses the infamous Dark Lord, or perhaps just the chaos he brought with him? Not at all. Really? Hmm, have you considered a fic featuring a Voldemort who, despite his destoyed horcruxes, is still alive and ends up under house arrest with Harry as his guard? Or, or! Perhaps he does die but only for a short time then ends up on Harry’s doorstep, maybe even magicless save for immortality? Even if none of these particularly tickled your fancy, there’s way more choices and ideas out there to be had and you can write/draw all of them and more in the Post-Deathly Hallows Harrymort Fanworks Festival!

FAQ

➵ “Can I write a time travel fic/draw time travel art?” Yes, if it’s clearly established to be after the Deathly Hallows has happened for them, and both Harry and Voldemort remember the events.

➵ “Can I write an Alternate Universe fic/draw Alternate Universe art?” This really depends. If it’s Alternate because Harry and Voldemort have hopped to a different universe, then yes. But they both, again, have to remember the events of the Deathly Hallows. But if you’re thinking of like a coffee shop or soulmates au set in the universe where the Deathly Hallows took place for them, then no.

➵ “Can I have Voldemort live through the events of Deathly Hallows?” Yes, this and the canonisity of the epilogue are the only things you can change about the canon before the events of the fic/artwork. However, if Voldemort is kept alive, he still has to have been defeated in such a way that the war is considered over (knocked unconscious, recognised he was bested, died only briefly, etc).

➵ “Can I include poly ships?” Yes, but Harry and Voldemort can’t be part of one as this is a festival focused on them. However, one or both of them can start in a different relationship as long as Harrymort is the end goal.

Author Expections:

~ All works should be a minimum of 2k words.

~ All works must be correctly tagged and warned for. “Author Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings” is not an acceptable warning.

~ Authors must have an Archive of our Own account to publish their fanfiction to the collection.

~ Each fanfiction should be new and unique the fest, this means that you aren’t allowed to retroactively add a previously written oneshot or submit a new chapter for an ongoing fic. Prequels and sequels to other fanfictions are allowed as long as they are published on their own and can be coherently read without needing knowledge of said prior fic(s).

~ All authors should edit their fanfictions to the best of their ability concerning SPaG. If a beta or alpha is meeded at amytime, feel free to join the Discord!

Artist Expectations:

~ Artwork at any stage that the artist is happy sharing it in is acceptable as long as at least two hours of work has gone into it.

~ Artists must have an Archive of our Own account to publish their artwork to the collection. Or, in the case that your art prompt was also claimed for a fic and the author is okay with it, the artwork could be posted with the accompanying fanfiction instead.

No worries anon! Here to save the day.

Basically, the AU is mostly a fun thing I like to do with friends. Random shit-posty content in between major random lore drops, yay!

A quick summary would be:

The Addams! AU (also known as the Addams Family! ROTTMNT AU) is a ROTTMNT AU based on the Addams Family franchise and its themes of horror and weirdness. Certain important details are changed from ROTTMNT, such as Splinter and BM canonically being a couple. Usagi Miyamoto and OCs feature heavily.

Currently, we are mostly in just backstory moments in between less lore relevant modern day content, like snippets. What's going on is mostly just filler, day-by-day things, doodles I do, silly content my co-creators or friends create, etc. There's not too much lore to catch up on, don't fret. Currently I have a janky asf filler masterpost pinned if that will help explain better for you. It contains basic info, trigger warnings, important ages, and some references.

As for Leo × Usagi, it is not abusive in any other form canonically! That is just this AU.

The ship started either in the comics or more towards the 2003 TMNT show. As far as I am aware, that ship was okay from an age range perspective, and it is a popular form of ship between the two, Rise also being common.

2012 'Leosagi' would be predatory/pedophilic. It is not okay.

Rise! Leosagi is fine, as Usagi does not exist within Rise canon. He is typically changed around to be adjusted for Rise lore and to be shipped with Leo, so they are close in age. This is commonly where people ship Leo with Usagi Yojimbo, a version of Usagi that is on Netflix as well.

We decided to use Usagi because Usagi is a character commonly related to Leo. Not because we wanted to imply shipping or romance between them.

First Listen Thoughts

Note: I went into this with next-to-no expectations or theories

Fortnight sounds dated in an 80s synth-y way, I can imagine this in a movie montage with a furious edge to it. I was not expecting to hear Posty singing but he has a surprisingly nice voice. A few listens for it to become a favourite.

The Tortured Poet's Department has a similar effect, cinematic and classic Antonoff. I got jumpscared by the Charlie Puth line and hearing my name. I want this to be a favourite but I feel this is about the 1975 guy so it's ruining it for me

Favorite Toys This is classic Swift and has some Lana vibes lyrically but in a Bleachers-esque wrapping.

Down Bad Interesting opening, lots of imagery, aggravated vibes and I don't blame her. I can see why the next song is --

So Long, London I love the vocals at the beginning acting like church bells and how they're layered in various points. Lyrics hit me right in the chest. Definitely one of the best on the album.

Fresh Out the Slammer The tempo change in the middle threw me off a bit which makes the ending feel a bit rushed/unfinished?

To elaborate on the idea though

Its called Paper Mario: The D-Side Express

And BASICALLY, Mario gets sucked into a D-Side Letter, which takes him to this place called the D-Side. It's similar to Flipside, but it's used to deliver letters and stuff to where they need to go.

Mario meets this guy called Posti, who has this giant train called The D-Side Express. It's all Messed Up, and without it, he can't do his Letter Delivering Job.

Apparently, the Envelopes in charge of the different kinds of mail have the parts you need to fix the train. So, you go and fight through these different themed worlds. From love letters, to spam mail, to Bills

And in the end, once you get the train fixed, Surprise Surprise the Mail Guy has been Evil the whole time. And the Train was really just his way to control ALL of D-Side and bathe it in chaos.

So, you gotta use your Letter Power to stop him.

And once you do, the letters help you go back home, so you can finally read the letter that sucked you in. And it's an invitation for cake.

Mums and Dads - Episode 41

Indy and Rusty have some time away from each other.

This is a sequel to the previous episode, "Early Baby," making it this series' first two-parter.

Polly is now in a green cloak

Apparently, "Terrier" is how to call out one singular Terrier from the 3 Terriers.

We spot Gruber among the classmates in Calypso's, being his only appearance there; This is his last appearance overall as of "Cricket".

Speaking of which, Zara, Missy, and Juniper are seen in Calypso's school despite being in Mrs. Retriever's class.

This is the only episode so far where every one of Calypso's students [up to that point] shows up in some capacity.

Favorite Part: When Bluey makes Rusty her child.

Hide and Seek - Episode 42

Bluey is known for being easily distracted, especially during hide and seek [this episode's conflict].

We are properly introduced to "Chattermax", including its main functions, behavior, and OH MY GOD IS IT ANNOYING. also, who doesn't program an ON/OFF function?

The lizard-thing has a name, "Gerald" (Probably for the game)

Favorite Part: When Chilli becomes more concerned about cleaning the shower while waiting for Bluey.

Camping - Episode 43

Bluey befriends a tourist.

Debuts and Details:

We have the debut of Jean Luc, a French Canadian Labrador whose family went camping in the area. [Labradors are Canadian breeds]

Stripe is seen with two spots on his head, rather than one. Technically, the same thing occurred during "Bob Bilby", where he had that, and was also colored red.

Bingo has another bush wee.

This episode features the first flash-forward scene, where Bluey and Jean Luc reunite after (as the wiki claims) 10 years.

Favorite Part: I like Chilli's whole talk with Bluey about special people and the memories that come from interactions; and while all that is happening, Bingo is casually doing her bush wee.

Mount Mumandad - Episode 44

The family went to a theme park called "Crazy World," which could be a thin reference to "Dreamworld" in Brisbane (mostly by name), which the network, ABC Kids, had partnered with.

The game of "London Snap" is introduced.

Favorite Part: I appreciate the bonding between Bluey and Bingo under the tent.

Kids - Episode 45

Bluey learns to not choose favorites.

Debuts and Details:

There is one additional background character that debuts, and it's a character that looks very identical to the "Poffertje man" from "Markets", but is credited simply as "Customer" (could be a twin brother).

For recurring background characters, there's the greenish-white curly dog (from Markets) that shows up walking towards the store when we first arrive; the brown dog w/ brown spots is named "Docket Boy" in the credits, and is the same one from "Markets", and not "Postie" as originally listed in Part IV; There's the basenji produce vendor from "Markets" who picks up toilet paper. Finally, there's the dark purple Poodle (also from Markets), named "Checkout Lady". (I'm noticing a trend here🤔)

We see that there are no stickers in the back of the car, despite previous episodes showing otherwise.

Bingo plays as Snowdrop for the second time; and adding to the 'Snowdrop' lore, Bandit plays as Snowdrop's older brother, Diddums.

Bluey argues that she can run the fastest, and we see that during the episode when she outpaces Diddums during the basket chase.

Rocko is revealed to have a mother, that is doing well.

Favorite Part: When Diddums takes control of the shopping cart, and Bluey has to chase him.

Chickenrat - Episode 46

Bingo recalls the day's events to find Floppy

Debuts and Details:

Bandit is revealed to have difficulty with Sauerkraut. Depending on the version of the episode (darn Disney Corporation), he is either allergic to it and uncontrollably sneezes, or he gets problems and uncontrollably burps.

"Floppy" is a male, according to Chilli in the start of the episode; but Bluey (and Chilli afterwards) later says 'she' when referring to "Floppy". This could mean the first line by Chilli was a script error.

Favorite Part: This episode was kind of a bore to watch, but I guess I liked the Chickenrat lullaby.

Yes! There's also a podcast that's some early stories called The New Albion Radio Hour: Astonishing Tales of the Highly Improbable! But that can probably be listened to post albums. (It's a podcast version of the Posthuman Playhoues book, but with very fun intros/outtros that add to it)

And... Let me grab the Updated Chart (<- for a bigger view) from the NADS discord for listening. It's a lot, but it's great, I'll give how I listened after the chart bc I went through it an unconventional way just out of "What would I like to listen to more, then I'll get to the rest."

The way I went into it was New Albion Trilogy -> The Ballad of Lost Hollow -> Uncle Raven’s Storytime Theater Never Never Land (this is on Bandcamp, it’s an 18 min track) -> Han Mi’s Punk fairytales -> The 2nd Posthuman War. Then I listened to the rest here and there afterwards. The podcast came in there somewhere, it’s about all the Posties from The 2nd Posthuman War and how they came to be together in the early days! Very fun to hear how everyone was back in the day.

(I listened to Dolls of New Albion years ago without knowing there was more to the albums. Then I fell in at the beginning of this year again)

I also listened to Early Works: Adams Arc, but mostly the first two of that trilogy (Shadows and Flames my beloved it’s so good) These are on Bandcamp as well. Each album/arc/etc has their own Theme and such and it’s all very fun to hear and fit into what the theme is.

Now let’s get down to describing.. what it is in the fictional sense.

The main thing about the Shaperaverse is that... it’s a metaverse, everything in connected in some way. There’s reaccuring characters and themes, reincarnation, lost memories, gay people, and all that jazz, all the albums have their Narrators. Aka. A Posthuman. What’s a Posthuman? Basically people who have transcended the confines of their own narratives and can directly interact with their own and other narratives. They can mold and shape them, “you coax the narrative” to change it in certain ways. I’m not going to get too deep, that’s what the wiki is for afterwards.

But basically, it’s storytelling music in the vein of The Mechanisms (Paul was a voice in Terminus! Lost my mind when I found that out) And it’s very fun, funny, it can be sad and it rips at my heart sometimes, especially with the characters I don’t shut the hell up about. It’s a lot to take in at the start, but honestly imo it’s great and worth the listening. Almost everything is on Spotify, you can listen on Bandcamp as well, probably youtube as well.
