name: aisha leblanc
house: slytherin
circle of friends: liz, lina (cr friends), pansy, blaise, mattheo, theo & enzo and @gaiaexploreslife <33
aisha leblanc core
so in this dr my circle is mostly slytherins, except lina she’s a hufflepuff i scripted in but my other friends are the weasley twins & tom riddle (i scripted him as mattheo’s brother) and i also scripted in that voldy never existed / killed in his era.
little things about me in this dr;
i have an american accent but i speak french, indonesian, korean, russian & spanish (polyglot bcs my mom is literally immortal) i however, am not immortal bcs i’m half wizard. i am a half blood
i’m at the top of my class bcs either here or in any of my drs i will always be an academic weapon (i luv academic validation) my fav subjects are astronomy & charms but my top marks are from DADA & latin, i am good at other subjects as well except herbology (i can’t keep anything alive under my supervision for more than 2 hours)
my background: i started in hogwarts for year 1- 2 and transferred to ilvermorny for third year for family purposes, in there i was in the thunderbird house and that’s when i started my niche (either professionally skate or professionally play chess) i will be transferring back to hogwarts in year 4 !
my family’s heritage is french from the dad side and my mother’s an eternal (mcu overlap) idk i just really like their power. therefore i can practice wandless magic easily, my powers are also more intuitive than an average wizard. i’m still southeast asian in this dr, and my family is known for a long line of intelligent wizards and warriors (eternals) they either got ravenclaw or slytherins. oh i also forgot, my parents are both dead LMAO but i have an older brother
for peace purposes i scripted out the whole doomsday plot of the eternals lol
also i didn’t script any s/o’s or didn’t permanently script my friend group. i want to see where it goes with people in that dr. but i have a few people i don’t mind dating and or befriending;
i don’t mind to be friends with the golden trio but i am older than them so didn’t script it bcs what if they’re annoying yk,
my potential s/o’s are lorenzo, tom, cedric or any other hot side characters lawllll
i did script i was cedric’s date to the yule ball, (can you guess how i’m an attention whore?) but i don’t want a simple friends to lovers arc so idk how that will go i might see soon (god please)
i’m also in a dilemma between making my niche a figure skater, pro pianist or violinist tbh or maybe a pro chess player. maybe i’ll make a few more hp drs for each niche (or i’ll just be all of them in one bcs im crazy like that)
my dr self personality is pretty similar to my cr self, sarcastic, witty, ambiverted kind of more of an introvert, kind of chaotic (adhd) and art enjoyer (poetry, books, music, ice skating) i also am a gymnast in my cr, i’m contemplating whether to also script that in or would it look weird bcs i already do like a ton of things there. other stuff about my personality is extremely similar to my cr so unless asked i wouldn’t disclose lol
my dr self is an animagus! she is a black cat with yellow eyes, she is also an occlumence!
as for the triwizard, i didn’t script that harry became a champion bcs i erased the plot, so it would only be cedric for hogwarts. i didn’t even think to go myself bcs shit is scary. id rather watch those dragons burn ced’s ass than myself.
tbh i made this reality not only exclusively to date (i desperately want to get fucked) but also to just be a badass academic weapon and be hot and miserable in a dark academia way.
pray for me to succeed going there soon pls

explaining my dr?
soo i am shifting to a marauders dr. i’ve decided not to have magic in this dr purely because i feel like i wouldn’t be good at it. i also scripted the traumatic backstory help but if it helps all the bad stuff has already happened to its only up from here :)
so in my dr i’m sirius’ twin sister and regulus’ older sister. I’ve scripted that we were born in france. our parents divorced when i was about 3 years old and that me and orion moved to the netherlands and that my brothers and my mother moved to england. we always went back for holidays so i know the language and i know my brothers. in the netherlands i started figure skating and i was pretty good. i did have the bad experiences bc figure skating is a toxic sport and orion sucks.
in the netherlands ive met my best friend mara when i was about 5 years old. she’s kinda like the childhood best friend who moved away but a bit later we found each other again and now we’re better then ever.
but anyways uuh when i was in my middle adolescence (14/17) i was switched to pairs figure skating and in on of the competitions my partner and i did this one lift and he fell which made me fall harder on my head. which made me have to learn everything again (which i’m doing in the present time in my dr). this whole thing might sound dramatic but i did it so i’m a bit famous in the community but i still want to learn everything bc in my head it sounds unrealistic that when i shift there i just know how to do everything. but i still have the muscle memory so i can learn everything faster.
a bit later orion died and i moved to england to live with sirius, regulus and walburga. except for my brothers life kinda sucked here. but sirius was always talking about his friends at school. and the next year i also went to the school (hogwarts yay). i make another post about the school system in my dr bc it’s a bit different. but turns out mara is also in this school and i’m her roommate. in hogwarts i kinda met everyone.
i did script the last dramatic thing where the thing happened that made us run away from walburga. me, sirius and reggie all ran away together to james. i went back to hogwarts first to be with remus for our bonding moments. and bc it’s still christmas holiday everyone is away so hogwarts is quieter.
this is pretty much where i’m at now. when i shift it will be friday and everyone will be coming back on saturday with a coming back party in the evening. there is a private figure skating rink where i practice either by myself or with matteo (yes matteo riddle i’ve scripted matteo, theo and enzo in this timeline). me and remus are already together in a very happy and healthy relationship. me and mara are still best friends. and my relationship with my brothers are still good.

My world comes alive with you | Thiam Week Day 5
Soulmate AU
Nobody said you need to fall in love with your soulmate.
Soulmates were a thing nobody could fully explain or understand. Science was working to figure out why your world was all black and white until you met that one person to bring color in your life. Others tried to find out what exactly was defining soulmates. Most soulmates were romantically involved but here and there were stories about people just being friends with their soulmate and in relationships with other people.
No matter what, finding your soulmate was an exciting journey and once you found them society paid their tribute. Liam couldn’t count the times he had seen people suddenly rejoicing, hugging each other (sometimes crying) and other’s applauding them, congratulating the newly bonded soulmates.
Liam himself was thrilled about meeting his soulmate one day. He had hoped at some point it would be Hayden, first love and all, but no matter how long they had been together, the world stayed gray. Then Hayden moved away and Brett had come into Liam’s life again, only to find his soulmate later on and Liam staying behind once more. It was okay for him, Brett and he were great friends now, and Liam knew the chances of meeting your soulmate in high school were quite small but one could dream, right? Especially when you had a best friend who had found his soulmate in Corey and was teasing Liam about his color choices all the time since then. He loved Mason but one more comment about how the color of his jacket and shirt didn’t match and he would throw a fit.
A chill breeze made Liam shiver and he pulled his jacket higher, trying to hide in it. His dad had texted him to let him know he was running late at the hospital and it would take a bit more time for him to come and pick Liam up, so Liam was left to wait for the car to finally arrive. He stood in front of the school, after lacrosse practice, bag hanging over one shoulder and watched the other team members filter out of the parking lot one by one.
Rolling his shoulders Liam fought the slight strain in his muscles from training. Coach had been merciless today, making them do the exercises over and over again and no matter how much Liam usually loved lacrosse, he was dead tired right now.
The sound of skateboard wheels on concrete made him look up and he saw a figure skating over the parking lot. Liam didn’t need to see his face to know who it was: Theo Raeken. Liam had seen him often after practice when he used the school ground to practice his skateboard stunts.   He and Liam had never spoken a word to each other as far as Liam was concerned and he had no intention to change that. He knew Theo was in the same grade as Scott, Stiles, Malia, and Lydia so he was almost two years older than Liam and also a senior but that about was it. He had his group of friends, Theo had his own and despite Corey once being part of Theo’s group, he now had integrated himself into Liam’s group of friends.
Liam looked down at his phone again and just started a game when he heard the clatter of a skateboard hitting the ground and a pained groan. Turning his head and looking up, Liam saw Theo on the ground and his skateboard a bit further away. The older clutched his left arm and glared at his board. Liam just to walk over and check if he had broken anything. Doctor’s son and such, you know?
“You okay?” He asked when approaching and Theo looked up, a look of surprise passing over his face. Then he nodded.  “Just fell, nothing major. Will be healed in a few days, it’s just a scrape.” He was still rubbing his arm and Liam held out his hand to help him to his feet which Theo gladly took.  “Thanks.” He said with a small smile and Liam returned it softly.
“You’re Liam Dunbar, right? You’re on the lacrosse team with Scott and Stiles.” Surprised the other noticed him, Liam nodded. “That’s me. And you’re Theo, you skate here often, right?” “Yeah, it’s nice when nobody is here and all those stairs and banisters are good for trying some tricks.” “Like falling off your board and breaking your arm?” Liam asked and Theo scoffed before picking up his skateboard.  “Sassy, I thought you were the shy one.” “Me? Shy?” Liam asked incredulously and laughed. “Never!”
A car honked behind him and when Liam turned around he saw his dad waving. “That’s my ride, gotta go. See you.” Theo waved goodbye and then got on his board again to skate off in the opposite direction while Liam got into his dad’s car. “Sorry for being so late.” Dr. Geyer apologized but Liam waved it off. “Don’t worry, it’s fine.” Liam sighed and leaned against the window, enjoying the warmth of the car. “Tired?” His dad asked and Liam nodded. Dr. Geyer laughed.  “I remember my lacrosse days. I had days where I could have fallen asleep standing in a corner.” Liam smiled sleepily and tried to stay awake until they were at home. There he just ate something and then changed into PJs before crawling into bed. Falling asleep was easy and he was out light a light shortly after his head hit the pillow.
It wasn’t until the next morning he noticed something was different. He had gotten out of bed after his alarm clock rang, had shuffled into the bathroom to brush his teeth and get ready and only when he walked back into his room to get dressed and reached for his shirt, he stopped dead in his tracks. Because his shirt had a deep rich color Liam couldn’t quite place it but it didn’t fit with the color of his desk chair at all. Yellow, his mother had once told him his desk chair was yellow and so yellow clashed with whatever color his shirt was.
Colors. Liam could see colors.
He blinked and looked around the room, realizing everything seemed to have turned from grey to colorful. It was overwhelming, to say the least, and his jaw dropped. How on earth did this happen? When did this happen? Why did this happen? Seeing colors meant he had met his soulmate for the first time but he couldn’t remember...
The realization hit Liam harder than expected and he gulped. There had only been one person yesterday he had the first interaction ever with. And that person had been Theo Raeken.  Liam sunk down on his bed, trying to grasp all this. He must have sat there for a while because suddenly his mother barged in. “Liam, honey, are you alright?” Liam swallowed dryly and looked at her. “I can see colors, mom.” He announced.
His parents had been enthusiastic and so proud of him, though Liam had no idea why. He did nothing except talking to somebody he always saw around school but never had a conversation with before. Still, his parents were happy and it didn’t even matter when Liam told them his soulmate obviously was a boy. They were that open-minded.
Now Liam was in school, just had gotten out of his mother’s car, and looked around, took in his fellow student’s outfits and suddenly he understood why Mason had teased him about colors. Some really clashed and Liam chuckled softly before looking down at himself. His outfit was okay, even though he was still trying to figure every color out. When you saw in black and white all your life, it was hard to recognize everything at first sight.
Walking to his locker, he took his time with looking around and enjoying the school colors. He liked the colors the lacrosse jerseys were in, he realized. Maybe that was his favorite color for now, he had not figured that out yet. Taking books out of his locker, he even studied the covers and decided he didn’t like the blue of his Biology book. Suddenly Mason and Corey appeared next to him and Liam took in his friend’s appearance.
“What’s up?” He greeted while slamming his locker shut. They started walking towards their first class and fell in an easy conversation until Liam could not hold back himself any longer. “I can see colors.” he admitted, making Mason blink at him and Corey raising an eyebrow before getting a look of utter joy on his face. “Oh my god, you met your soulmate? Congratulations! Who is it? Why are you not together now? How did you find you meet? What did you say? That did they say?” An excited Corey was worse than Mason who now looked as happy as his boyfriend. Liam stopped walking and sighed.
“Okay, I think I met him. I mean, obviously, I did, but it wasn’t like in the movies when you meet them and colors explode around you. Maybe because it was already too dark outside. Who? Well, I think it’s Theo Raeken. He’s the only one I had the first encounter with yesterday and suddenly boom colors.” “Theo Raeken? As in the one who sits behind Scott in biology? The one who skates around the school on a daily basis? The one who basically landed the jackpot in puberty and is one of the hottest guys around?” Mason asked fascinated and Corey cleared his throat.  “Boyfriend. Right next to you. You may be right but still though. Don’t crush on Liam’s soulmate.”
Liam blushed at this. It sounded strange, his soulmate. Had he really found them? This was all so sudden and overwhelming. Was he supposed to love Theo? Were they supposed to be together? What exactly was the etiquette for this?
“I need to talk to him.”
But talking to Theo was easier said than done and the whole Liam never got a glimpse of the older boy. It made him anxious, not being able to see where Theo stood on this. Maybe he should visit him after school at his home? But he had no idea where the other lived.
In the end, it was Theo who found Liam or rather waited outside for him when Liam exited his last period for the day. Casually leaning against the wall he smiled at Liam and Liam quietly agreed with Mason, Theo was good looking. Liam smiled back softly and Mason gave his arm a supportive squeeze before walking away with Corey. Liam stepped closer and then found he had no idea what to say. Luckily Theo seemed to have this covered. “Can I invite you to a coffee?” He asked and Liam nodded.
That’s how they found themselves at a small table in a coffee shop not far from the school. Liam usually didn’t drink coffee but for now, it would do and Theo confessed to being a coffee addict. Liam chuckled at this and when they got their orders they sat down and Liam shrugged.
“So, colors.” He said lamely. Theo nodded slowly and sipped his coffee. “Colors.” He agreed after he had swallowed. “This morning I realized my sheets were bluish green all of sudden and I more confused than ever.” He looked down at his coffee. “Are you okay with this?” He then asked and looked at Liam again. “I don’t know?” Liam said a tad helplessly. “I mean, I’m excited I found you but...I thought when you meet your soulmate...” “You would love them?” Theo finished the sentence and Liam had to agree with that. That was what he had wanted to say, so he nodded. “Do you love me?” He then asked and when Theo shook his head, he actually let out a relieved sigh. “Thank god, I was so anxious about disappointing you!” “Disappointing me? Why?” Theo asked stunned before he sipped on his coffee. “Because I maybe not return your feelings.” Liam explained and Theo shrugged. “Not all soulmates love each other that way. Some are just good friends. That’s okay. You seem like a great guy and I’d like to get to know you better.” He said nonchalantly and Liam felt himself smile.  “So, just friends?” “Just friends.” The confirmed and smirked.
****** Just friend proved to be the best decision because being friends with Theo was awesome. If you got to know him better, you realized that while he was sarcastic and secretively, he was also a great dork who liked video games just as much as Liam and they shared the same taste in movies. His other friends were stunned by their decision to just be friends, but they accepted it and Liam was happy to see Mason and Corey getting along with Theo so greatly. Scott and the others already knew him thanks to being at the same grade, that wasn’t much of a problem. But Theo’s biggest fans by far were Liam’s parents.
They had insisted on getting to know their son’s soulmate, friendship or not, and so Liam invited Theo for dinner on a Friday night. Theo had accepted with a smile and Liam had been happy yet when Friday came around he was a nervous wreck. But when Theo finally knocked at the door and hugged Liam in greeting, it disappeared. He felt calmer around Theo, had noticed this weeks ago. His IED was calmed too and so this was still something he needed to tell Theo about but that had time. Theo had smiled at him, rubbing Liam’s arm as if he knew what his soulmate was thinking. Maybe he did or he was just good at reading Liam.
When Theo greeted his parents, Liam could basically see his mother swooning about this charming young man. His step-dad had been a bit more distant at first but that quickly went out the window when Theo started asking questions about his work at the hospital, proving he knew a thing or two about said the field of work. Dr. Geyer was delighted to have somebody interested what he had to say and ask smart questions, so he was sold too. And Liam could not help but feel proud at this parents liking his soulmate so much. Something inside him felt whole at this and when he talked to Mason about it, Mason confirmed it. He had the same way when Corey had been accepted into his family. “It means your other half is where it needs to be. With you and your family, and I think that’s amazing, Liam.”  Liam had to agree.
He just wished Theo could feel the same when it came to his own family but that meeting had been a disaster. Liam learned that Theo’s parents were two workaholics, too busy to really focus on their son or anything else than their work. They had sat at the table and the way they handled the dinner made Liam feel like it was just another business meeting. And Theo’s older sister Tara, well, the siblings didn’t get along. She was at college but had been there for the dinner and the two siblings fought the whole time. She called Theo “brat”, he called her “bimbo”, face hardened and eyes dark with anger. His face only softened when Liam put a hand on his leg and gave it a soft squeeze. Theo had turned to him and smiled weakly. So yes, the Raekens weren’t as welcome as his own family but they were part of Theo so Liam accepted them.
Theo himself seemed happy about having found Liam and the colors in his life. Corey and Mason had told Liam Theo’s style had improved since they had become soulmates, now that he could see colors, and according to them he looked even better now than before. Liam had not fully understood what that was supposed to mean but he had nodded along with it, all the while questioning the little twitch he felt in his chest when they mentioned how good looking Theo was. It confused him for a while but then other things came to his mind and he forgot about it.
And the Beacon Hills had a lacrosse game against Devenford Prep. The game itself was fairly unspectacular, it had been just a friendly game, nothing too serious, and afterward, there was a bonfire. Liam and his friends were gathered near the fire, drinking and chatting, having a good time when Liam suddenly felt himself getting pulled back and somebody kissed his cheek.
“Good game tonight, Dunbar.” Brett called out and Liam beamed at his ex-boyfriend-now turned friend. Elias, Brett’s soulmate and boyfriend, offered Liam an honest smile and Liam returned it warmly. They both knew no matter how affectionate Brett still was with Liam, Liam was no danger to what Brett and Elias had. And, Liam had said it from the start, they were a great couple. So Elias was okay with the hugs, lose headlocks and sometimes cheek kisses the ex-couple shared.
Brett now greeted the rest of the group until his eyes fell on Theo. He grinned. “And who are you?” He inquired, casually grabbing Liam’s shoulder to teasingly squeeze it, something he always had done. He liked to touch Liam and Liam didn’t mind. But he could have sworn he saw Theo’s eyes narrowing at the contact before he stepped closer to Liam. “I’m Theo, Liam’s soulmate.” He introduced himself and Brett laughed. “What? Congratulations, Li, that’s awesome!”
But Liam was more focused on Theo’s reaction than on Brett’s words. Theo’s eyes had narrowed once more at the nickname and his whole posture was stiff, jaw clenched. He had been carefree before but then Brett and Elias showed up and that’s when his behavior had started to change. Oh shit! Now that he thought about it, it made sense. Elias knew Liam and Brett were like this around each other but Theo didn’t. Holy shit, his soulmate was jealous which was deeply confusing because they weren’t even dating. To test his theory, he turned to Brett and smirked at him while putting one hand on the taller boy’s chest.  “Awesome, right? Who would have thought, huh?” Side-eying Theo Liam wasn’t disappointed, Theo’s jaw clenched even more at the touch and before he could lash out, Liam dropped his hand and took a step back from Brett.  His ex was still grinning from ear to ear. “I want the whole story.” He demanded but then somebody else called his and Elias’ name and he pointed at Liam. “Later on. Text me.” He called out and walked over to the other guy. Liam watched them walk away before he grabbed Theo’s hand.  “Can I talk to you for a second?”
Before Theo could even answer, Liam pulled him away from their group of friends and into a quieter corner.  “The hell was that?” He asked then, brows furrowing. “What was what?” Theo played it off and Liam’s frowned deepened.  “I saw the way you tensed and glared at Brett. Were you jealous? I mean, I know you were, but why?” It made something inside him flutter like his heart had gotten too much coffee or something. What was going on? Theo looked away from Liam, jaw working until he finally found the right answer. “Well, what’s between Brett and you?” He questioned and looked back at Liam. “We’re friends.” Theo gave him a look that spoke volumes and Liam sighed. “We have been dating before he found Elias, his soulmate.” “So he’s your ex.” Theo stated and Liam nodded with a shrug. “Yep.” He still didn’t get the big deal but it seemed like Theo wouldn’t fill him in on that either. He was about to ball his hands in fists thanks to his frustration when he noticed something. They were holding hands.
The whole time, since Liam took Theo’s hand to pull him away, they had been holding hands and Theo had not tried to break it once. Liam stared at their hands and he swallowed. Theo seemed to notice something was going on because he frowned now. “You okay?” Liam tore his eyes away from their hands in order to look at his soulmate. “You...We are...” Taking a deep breath to focus on one thing, he tried again. “Why were you jealous? Bret and me, that’s history. He’s happy with Elias.” Theo shrugged and looked sheepishly at that, “Can’t a guy get jealous just because?” “No.” Liam said but no matter how much he wanted to find out what had gotten into Theo, he also didn’t want to start any drama either. For now, he would let it slide. “Doesn’t matter, let’s continue to enjoy the party, shall we?” Theo nodded, lips forming into a small smile which Liam returned.
He took a few steps forward to walk back to their group, pulling Theo along (they still were holding hands despite them both acknowledging it but it seemed like Liam’s brain didn’t want to give the command to let go just yet) when another person stepped in Liam’s path. The two of them collided and Liam felt ice cold beer splash over the front of his shirt. It came that suddenly, Liam let out a loud gasp and stumbled back.
“Shit, I’m sorry...Oh, it’s you!” Liam looked up from his ruined shirt and stared at the other person. Tobias, a former class member of Liam at Devenford Prep and one of the guys Liam mostly got in fights with, glared at Liam. He was taller than Liam but that had never stopped Liam. Both disliked each other quite fiercely and even now Liam felt tense.
“Tobias, what are you doing here? You’re not even on the lacrosse team.” Tobias glared harder. “So? I still can attend a game of my school right? You know what part I liked the most? When you were tackled to the ground.” He laughed mockingly and Liam growled.  “Listen, I don’t want any fight tonight. This is a party!” He gritted out. “Oh, Liam, did they teach you that in anger management? That’s cute, really.”  Liam growled again, letting go of Theo’s hand to ball his hands into fists this time. He tried to keep his condition in check but his anger was rising and Tobias knew that given how taunting his smile was. “What, Liam? Pulse’s rising? Are you getting angry? Want to break some more bones than you already have?”
“Asshole!” Liam spat and made a step forward. If Tobias wanted to fight, he would not back down. He gripped Tobias by the collar of his shirt and raised his fist, ready to punch, when a strong grip around his wrist made it impossible to move. He was yanked back and Theo stepped between them, facing Liam. He kept his grip on Liam’s wrist and used it to pull Liam close to himself.
“Let it go, he’s really not worth it.”He muttered so only Liam could hear it. Liam growled in return. “He deserves it!” He spat and Theo shook his head before taking control and dragging Liam away from Tobias, effectively stopping Liam from doing something he would regret later on. Doesn’t mean Liam was happy about it and struggled against the grip. “Let go!” He demanded loudly and Theo only let him go when they were far away enough from the fire. “What’s up with you?” He asked, making Liam face him. Liam just huffed, too angry to actually voice his thoughts or explain himself. “He’s a freaking asshole!” He said instead, extending his arm to point towards the fire. Theo reached out and grabbed both of his wrists, softer this time, “Hey, Liam, look at me and take some deep breaths, okay? You’re completely riled up, you need to calm down.” He uttered slowly and despite Liam being angry he felt himself following Theo’s instructions. What was with Theo and his way to keep him calm?
But with calming down came also the realization of what happened and with that came the shame. Liam pulled away from Theo and hid his face in his hands. “Fuck, I’m so sorry.” “About what?” Theo asked him, voice still soft and so caring. Something Liam didn't really deserved. “I snapped. This is not how I wanted you to see me. Like ever.” He tried to find the right words and failed in the end. “I never wanted you to see me when my condition breaks through.” Theo frowned. “Your condition?” “I suffer from IED.” Liam admitted, still so ashamed he couldn’t look into Theo’s eyes. “And I’m sorry.” He muttered.  “What are you sorry about?”  “That you have a soulmate who is obviously broken. You deserve someone who doesn’t lose his cool at any given moment.”
Theo was silent for a moment then he put his fingers under Liam’s chin and made him look up. “Liam, listen to me. You are not broken and you don’t have to be ashamed. It’s okay. You’re obviously working on it.” He tried a supportive smile. “And I would like to help you with it. You are my soulmate, we’re in this together, okay? Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, would change how I think about you, okay?” Liam listened to what Theo said and the swallowed around the lump in his throat. He had the perfect soulmate, someone who truly got him. He hesitantly smiled back, prompting Theo to stroke over his cheek softly. “Thanks for keeping me from punching Tobias.” Theo chuckled. “That’s my job. Though I have a feeling he would have deserved it.” Liam snorted. “He would have but still, thanks for stopping me. You’re good at that, you know? Keeping me calm. Like you were born for this job.” “Maybe I was. I am your soulmate after all. And, Liam, you are so perfect, you deserve someone to take care of you.”
The looked at each other for a few moments and Liam finally cleared his throat. “Theo?” “Hm?”  “When did we move so close together?”
It was true, they were chest to chest and their faces only inches apart and they had not even noticed it until now. And now that they did, it was hard to ignore how close they were pressed together. Theo’s eyes fell on Liam’s lips and Liam unconsciously licked them.
“Well....” The older started but was cut off when Liam leaned in and kissed him. It made Theo sigh into the kiss and then his hand was on Liam’s face, fingers caressing his cheek, and Liam shuddered softly. This felt good, right even, and he wondered why he never had thought about doing this sooner. He had been so focused on making their friendship worked that he had ignored how strong his feelings had gotten over time. And now here they were, kissing in the parking lot, slow and soft, and Liam tentatively wrapped his arms around Theo’s neck while the other put his hands on Liam’s waist and pulled him closer. Their kiss slowly got deeper, more sensual and now it was Liam who sighed.
When they pulled away from the kiss to catch their breath, Theo hummed. “I’d like to do this more often.” He confessed and Liam smiled, softly tugging at Theo’s hair. “Me too.” He admitted. “So, want to go back to the party or leave? My parents are out of town.” Theo invited him and Liam gave him a quick kiss. “Sounds promising. Let’s leave.”
He would send Mason a text and let him know he was with Theo. And then he probably would send a second text telling his best friend that his plan of keeping a friendship with his soulmate had not worked out. But that was okay because he now had a great boyfriend by his side. In the end, they would work everything out if they just listened to their hearts. Fate had bound them together for a reason after all.
I dig Thiam and being jealous, sue me. So I had to write this little scene in this story.  Hope you liked all of it.

  Nostalgia Time!
Boy, it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these full moon werewolf recaps, huh? I’m really slacking on them! But here we have the second of the two whole werewolf episodes Tales From the Crypt ever did, and like the other one, this one also has vampires. Well, who doesn’t like vampires with their werewolves, I guess.
So, I really dig this episode. I know I didn’t include it in my favorites list I published a while back, but for a while I had this episode on constant rotation. Due in part to Larry Drake, whose performances I always enjoy. (RIP. And seriously, he’s the only good thing about Dr. Giggles.) Vampires, werewolves, mysterious goings-on . . . yeah, this episode sells it hard.
Recap
We open, of course, with Cryptkeeper intro. He’s surprisingly sedate (for him, at least), and just makes a few Charles Dickens puns in reference to the copy of Oliver Twist he’s reading. He’s disappointed that there was no twist, because he had such Great Expectations. Yeah. Moving on.
The story opens on a dark and stormy night at the Gaines Orphanage. We follow a young boy in pajamas and a coonskin cap (because this is the 50s? Unclear.) sneaking down the stairs inside. We can hear one woman telling another that these boys can’t be trusted, and we fade out on their conversation as Coonskin Cap makes his way into the kitchen and opens the refrigerator. He grabs a chicken drumstick that’s just sitting uncovered by itself on a plate, and puts back just the bone a few seconds later. Ew?
The boy grabs an apple that is also sitting on a plate in the fridge for some fucking reason, and makes his way back out of the kitchen. We can now hear Older Woman telling Younger Woman that the boys cheat off each other’s papers, while Younger Woman protests that she’s never witnessed that. They move out to the room Boy is in as Older Woman says that they have to do something about Theodore – he’s way past the desirable age for adoption. From the indignant look on Boy’s face, we surmise that he is Theodore. He is also hiding pretty much in plain sight under a table.
Younger Woman wants to know what happened to his parents, and Older Woman snaps that she must never mention his parents, or his behavior problems! Well, okay. That’s not super suspicious or anything.
Then Theodore drops the apple, which rolls right up to Older Woman’s feet. Smooth, kiddo.
Older Woman (whose name is Miss Hagstead) drags Theodore out from under the table and accuses him of spying. Nope, he was just hungry, because he’s bigger than the other kids. Miss Hagstead orders Younger Woman to take him back to his room, “and make sure he stays there,” while brandishing a key. I’m pretty sure locking kids in their rooms at an orphanage violates fire codes or something, but sure. Asshole.
Younger Woman (now known as Miss Heather) walks Theodore upstairs while telling him the meal plan for tomorrow, because this kid is apparently a bottomless pit, and much like my little dog, extremely food-motivated. We transition to a shot of clouds revealing a full moon. No werewolf action yet, though. We’re only 4 minutes in, after all.
The next morning, Miss Heather frantically reports to Miss Hagstead that Theodore is gone and his window is open! Miss Hagstead is annoyed, not worried. He throws these temper tantrums sometimes and runs off for a few hours. Oh. Is it always during the . . . full moon . . . ?
Cut to the door opening and Theodore standing on the porch, covered in dirt. Miss Hagstead yells at him, then orders him to the kitchen to help Joey with the dishes. As he walks by, she complains that “it’s getting worse.” Oh . . . ?
Miss Heather rocks up and sends Joey out of the kitchen so she can tell Theo that some people are coming by later tonight and are very interested in meeting him. He knows what this means, right? Well, normally it could mean adoption and happily ever after, but this is Tales From the Crypt, so.
New Mom might have stolen that jacket from Cruella de Vil
Cut to these two weirdos showing up and telling Theo that he’s perfect and they’ll take him. Like he’s a puppy in a store window. Or a tasty veal cutlet at the butcher’s shop. (Spoilers?)
Theo asks what if he doesn’t want to go, and New Mom (Mrs. Colbert) tempts him with living in the lap of luxury – he’ll have his own bathroom and towels with his initials on them! Wow, just what every 12-year-old boy dreams of!
Miss Hagstead, on the other hand, is clearly using every ounce of self-control not to scream, “Now listen you little shit, you’re going! End of story!”
Oh, spoke too soon. Miss Hagstead pulls Theo off to the kitchen to “help her make tea” and proceeds to basically scream exactly that at him. He asks what happened to his real parents, and she says they died when he was just a baby, but refuses to provide details. She tells him the Colberts are “a little eccentric” but they’ll provide him with a lovely home and lots of good, sweet things to eat.
Okay, I was joking about Theo being like a food-motivated dog, but apparently everyone else was dead serious about it. Huh.
There’s a moody shot of Larry Drake, who is the Colberts’ . . . butler? valet? something? and then Theo staring moodily out the back of a car while Miss Heather and the Orphan Boys wave goodbye. Also, the lighting is so blue it’s almost impossible to see what’s happening.
There’s voice over from Mrs. Colbert as they drive away, talking about how wonderful Theo will have it at his new home, and she asks her husband, “Won’t it be wonderful having him?” He replies, “Mmm. Wonderful. Having him.” Yes, yes, this is normal, nothing to worry about!
They pull up to the house and holy shit everything onscreen is so blue I can’t tell what anything looks like, goddamn. Fortunately the interior of the house has normal lighting. I really don’t know what they were thinking with this fucking blue filter, but whatever. Theo comments that it looks like a museum, and as he reaches out to touch a huge . . . urn? vase? a Rottweiler rocks up out of nowhere to bark and growl at him. New Mom tells him he must never touch anything; some of these pieces are very old.
So. We have foster/adoptive parents who have things at touching-height that the kids aren’t allowed to touch, and the presence of Grace Zabriskie? Is this just Child’s Play 2 all over again?
The Colberts and Larry Drake show Theo to his room, which is huge and contains tons of toys, including a model train going around its track and blowing a whistle. Theo turns to thank them, but all the adults have exited the room and locked him in. He runs to look out the keyhole, where New Mom is telling New Dad that he’s been so patient, while Theo calls out asking why they’ve locked him in. They walk off, ignoring him, and now it’s time for Doggie Jump Scare! as the Rottie (Mrs. Colbert called Doggie by name, but I don’t have captions and I can’t for the life of me figure out what she called him) jumps at the door, barking and growling.
Theo falls backwards to the floor, and exclaims, “What did Mrs. Hagstead tell them?!”
Well, Theo, she wanted to get rid of you, so it couldn’t have been that bad.
Theo is woken up the next morning by Larry Drake, AKA Tobias, serving him breakfast in bed. Well, I suppose it’s breakfast in the technical sense of it’s breaking his fast, but it’s all sweets – cake, pie, when Theo asks for milk, Tobias offers him a milkshake. Ooh, does it bring all the werewolves to the yard?
Theo notices there are bars on the windows, and Tobias assures him that there are bars on all the windows – for security. Eh, that might have been weird in the (I’m still not sure but possibly) 1950s, but it doesn’t really raise many eyebrows today.
Cue a montage of Theo playing with all his new toys, and eating enough cakes, eclairs, pie, and milkshakes for it to qualify as a miracle he doesn’t go into diabetic shock. Nope, nothing to worry about here; this isn’t a Hansel and Gretel story, so you should be perfectly safe!
Cut to this new little family all walking around the estate together, and Theo asking why he has to stay in his room all day while the Colberts are at “work.” Mm, work, yes. Definitely work. New Mom answers that Theo is the most precious thing they have, and they can’t risk something happening to him. And Tobias is far too old to be chasing after him in the woods. Umm, Larry Drake was 40 when this episode aired. I turn 39 in less than two weeks. I feel very insulted right now. Not that I want to chase 12-year-olds around in the woods, but still. Very insulted.
Theo goes on to ask if they can go out sometime and do something together like a real family – a movie, roller skating, a ballgame? I’m trying to picture these weirdos on roller skates, and honestly, it’s kinda hilarious. Anyway, they claim they’re busy tomorrow planning a surprise for Theo. It’s a secret, though. Theo hates secrets.
Tobias stares pensively after them as he falls behind with Doggie. At least, I think he does. This blue filter is pretty much the worst thing I’ve ever witnessed.
Cut to Tobias bringing Theo yet more junk food for lunch. Somehow, Theo isn’t dying of malnutrition yet. He asks if Tobias can come back and see him before dinner, and Tobias says he supposes he can stop by and they can play cards or something.
Cue the “Theo and Tobias become friends” montage.
Theo thinks about fun times he had at the orphanage with Miss Heather and his friends, and is suddenly . . . homesick, I guess it would be? Kind of? He asks where the Colberts are, and just as Tobias says they’re indisposed, they burst into the room with party horns and a birthday cake, yelling “Surprise!”
Theo is surprised, mostly because it isn’t his birthday. New Mom brushes it off – of course it’s not his birthday; it wouldn’t be a surprise if it was. Then they dish up about half the cake onto a plate for him, because they clearly want him to go into insulin shock. Theo’s not hungry because he had two boxes of Crackerjacks about an hour ago. Gross.
The Colberts tell Theo they’re going out to paint the town red. Yes. Yes, I bet you are. They call him “son” and tell him to open his presents and have fun with Tobias.
Cut to Tobias bonding with Theo as he tucks him into bed. Tobias was also an orphan who never got adopted; he agrees that Theo may call him “Toby” since Theo used to know a Tobias at his orphanage who went by Toby. Then Mrs. Colbert calls Tobias out of the room.
Later that night, Theo is woken up by the Colberts talking outside his door. New Mom says that this was her idea; she calls the shots; and she’ll say when their little orphan delicacy is ready for . . . whatever this is. They open the door and stare at Theo, who pretends to be asleep, and New Mom says she doesn’t think she can wait much longer. They’ll tell Theo their secret when they get home tonight.
I’m . . . sure it’s a fun secret, right? . . . right?
Time passes until it’s four thirty in the damn morning, and someone unlocks Theo’s bedroom door. Oh, it’s Toby! He rushes in to wake Theo up, telling him they have to get out of here. Theo moans that he doesn’t feel well.
Yeah, no shit. You’ve just spent what I’m about to guess is a full month eating roughly the same amount of sugar as Brazil exports in a year; what did you expect?
They start to make their way down the stairs, but are stopped by Mrs. Colbert, who looks considerably more vampish than we’ve seen previously. Apparently Tobias was promised immortality in exchange for his babysitting services, but he’s changed his mind and doesn’t want Theo to end up vampire chow.
Mrs. Colbert protests that his blood is so sweet now, and . . . okay. So, they’ve been feeding him nothing but sugar so that his blood will taste sweet to them? They’re vampires with a sweet tooth? That’s . . . okay. Sure. I mean, they couldn’t just get a mouthful of blood, pour some sugar on me in their mouths, and shake it around? Their plot seems overly complicated, is all I’m saying.
Anyway, Mr. Colbert appears out of nowhere on the stairs above Tobias, and bites into him while Theo laments his new friend’s demise. Theo jumps down the stairs and runs out the door as Mrs. Colbert sends Doggie after him, commanding Doggie to leave some for them.
Theo runs off into the woods; Doggie chases after; we’re shown a full moon as the Colberts join the chase, so I was right – it’s been a full month. A month of no food except sweets. I’m feeling sick just thinking about it.
Theo stumbles and falls as Doggie (it sounds like New Dad calls him “Lalitu”? “Laleetoo”? I don’t fucking know, y’all) catches up to him. The Colberts come out of the blueness darkness and we hear growling.
Theo is on his hands and knees facing away from the Colberts, and as they approach he tells them that now he knows what happened to his parents. You see, he has a secret too, and it’s better than the Colberts’. New Mom is the picture of condescending boredom, telling Theo that she’s sure he does. As Theo continues, his voice gets deeper and growlier. He turns around to reveal that he is a werewolf – with a taste for vampires!
I’m not quite sure how he would know that, but you do you, kiddo.
He leaps at Mrs. Colbert and rips her throat out (again, I think. This deep blue everything is a bitch for actually seeing what’s happening), then takes off after Mr. Colbert, who has started running away like a little bitch. Theo catches up to him, and he screams as we fade to black . . .
. . . and cut to the interior of the orphanage as someone pounds on the front door. Mrs. Hagstead opens the door to reveal Theo and Doggie on the porch. Theo tells her that he knows his secret now, and he thinks some things are going to change around here. He stares at her, and there’s wolf-face superimposed over his kid-face. Mrs. Hagstead is terrified, a wolf howls, and we fade to black again.
And then we get the Cryptkeeper’s wrap-up and exit puns. They’re not worth spending space on here. Sorry, Crypty.
Nostalgia Glasses Off
So yeah. This werewolf episode took basically the entire episode to werewolf. And to vampire, for what it’s worth.
So, what are we to believe did happen to Theo’s parents? We can assume they were also werewolves, right? Are we to believe they were killed by . . . werewolf hunters? Vampires? Buffy? Sam and Dean? The episode treats it like we should just know, and I really don’t.
I still like this episode a lot, but I think it’s fallen off of my favorites list. There’s not much to it when you boil it down.
Except diabeetus. This episode is full of diabeetus.
(Note: Wilford Brimley passed away the day after I finished this recap (including inserting these images), and a couple days before it was scheduled to go up. Weird coincidence. RIP, and thanks for the memes, sir.)
Well, it's another full moon, so you know what that means - time for a werewolf story! This month I recapped the Tales From the Crypt episode, The Secret! Can you guess what the secret is? I bet you can! (The secret is ... diabeetus!) Title: The Secret Series: Tales From the Crypt Original Airdate: July 31, 1990 Description: A 12-year-old orphan is adopted by a rich childless couple (William Frankfather and Grace Zabriskie) who harbor a dark secret.

worldbuilding in my figure skater dr
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this dr is a place where i get to do things that i love & are unable to fully pursue in my current reality. it follows the events of a book, however some of the events & aspects are slightly different.
— ⭑ notable mentions of different aspects in my dr
this is a completely modern dr & it takes place in california, in maple hill. there are other mentions of other states & places such as seattle & the uk. it will involve a lot of modern tech & approaches, in which i honestly am so excited to experience.
i am part of my uni’s competitive figure skating team, i was scouted from the uk & made my trip to the us in order to participate in the team. I’ve been iceskating since i was five years old & i’ve developed a lot of skills along the way. i have excelled in many skating competitions & studies along side my sport.
in my dr, alongside my university work & my training, i will have a part time job in order to earn money in order to fund my training. i will work a few days a week, in a small coffee shop to make some extra money & people are very patient with me, they allow me to work the hours i can in order to achieve the life that i desire.
— ⭑ some background about this dr ( before i shift )
after starting first year - aaron, lola, josh & i , would often end up at the beach, just watching the sunset and talking about life. it was always the thing that i looked forward too in my life & it was seriously one of the brightest moments of my week.
the traditions with the beach, carried on through first year & even though josh stopped going as he got too busy with hockey, us three always made time to go and watch the sunset at least a few times a week. it was always a lot of fun & we could talk for hours on end.
when josh joined the hockey team, initially there were a lot of meets & socials that he would drag me too as he didn’t know many people back then. so i got to know a few of the hockey boys, more than i wanted too - they were all lovely, just very loud and out of control. there were several of the hockey players who did not want to participate in those sorts of meets & greets, such as the fourth years.
after a couple of weeks into the first year, josh stopped inviting me & we started to just hang out outside of our sporting activities. he would take his girlfriend and i would just stay with my figure skating people. it was this time that, aaron and i also started to practice more as we decided that we wanted too work on pairs competitions a lot more.

ABOUT & BEFORE I SHIFT - FIGURE SKATING DR
masterlist | main masterlist
this dr takes place in modern day california, 2023. it takes some events from a book, but most of the events come from my head. i am a figure skater, at the university in maple hill, after i receive a scholarship that brings me back from the uk to the us. this dr has a lot of modern appliances & tech involved, i really cannot wait to experience the most that i can from this reality.
i have been skating from the age of five, both in the us & then the uk. in the uk, i developed a huge liking for pairs skating & i won many competitions in a very quick timeline. as well as my skating, i also work a small part time job. i use this job to make some extra money, in order to fund my university & skating career. i work to achieve the life that i desire.
when i shift to this reality, i will be in year two of my university & i will have the memories & friendships that I made in first year. all of my friendships are important in my dr & i cannot wait to shift there & make many more memories with the people that i care about.
a few weeks after i started first year, there were several of us ( aaron, lola and josh ) that would end up at the beach, watching the sunset & we would just end up talking about life. i always looked forward to those moments & it was one of my brightest points in the week. this tradition happens throughout first year, and even though josh got too busy with hockey at some point - the three of us always made time to go and watch the sunset.
when josh joined the hockey team, he would initially drag me to a lot of the socials because he did not know anyone & that was my initial introduction to the hockey team. i got to know a few of the hockey boys a little, they all seemed lovely. however a couple of weeks into first year, josh stopped inviting me to the meets & we started to just hang out outside of our sporting activities. it was also during this time that aaron & i started to practice more as we decided we wanted to mainly focus on pairs competitions more.
for the rest of first year, aaron & i mainly focused on pairs skating & we managed to win a fair few competitions that same year. we became well know within the skating industry & we managed to get our own trainer, who works with us a lot of the time. she is loud and abrasive, but a wonderful teacher. i am on a break from competitions until the next season & i cannot wait to start skating again.
