You are inflating a pool toy but in the end you were actually inflating yourself into becoming the pool toy, and your friends are just arriving for the pool party

"*Phew*!! Everything's all set up and ready!!". The shirtless cat raises an arm to his forehead, cleaning up the glistening sweat as he looks to the pool area. All of the tables are set up, the floor is clean and tidy, and the barbecue stand is ready to go. Setting all of it up was a lot of effort, but he knows the pool party is gonna be a lot of fun!! Now, he just has to grab a chair and wait for all his friends to come-

*Ding-Dong!*

The cat jumps up. "They're here early, it's not even noon yet!!", he ponders as he slips on some slippers and moves towards the front gate.

Opening the door, though, he couldn't see anyone in sight. He looked left and right, but in the street there was no one to be seen.

"Huh...", the feline moves to close the door when he notices an unassuming package, sitting neatly on the ground. On top of it, the logo "On-Time Deliveries", written in one of those minimalist fonts. On the information paper, he could see his name, and an order for a... pooltoy??

"Weird... I don't remember buying this... Eh, it has my name, so I must've just forgotten about buying it", he concluded as he grabbed the cardboard box and took it inside.

Opening up the box, he found inside... a deflated pooltoy, just as the package said. It was a maned wolf pooltoy, with red-ish colors, a cute face, and two black handles on its back.

He snapped his fingers, "Oh! This must be for the pool party!! And just in time too!! Let me take it outside to get it all pumped up and ready!"

The cat grabbed the air pump from his shack and took it outside. He found the pooltoy valve on the side of its shiny hip, and plugged the air pump. Now he just has to turn the electric air pump on and wait!!

Sitting in his pool chair, he was oblivious to the valve that appeared in his right hip. He kept looking at the pooltoy, waiting for it to inflate, but it seemed like there was no air flowing inside the shiny maned wolf. His eyes and mind were focused on the pooltoy, so focused in fact he didn't even see his belly inflate, little by little, the skin turning into a shiny, colorful material.

"There must be something wrong with the air pump...", he rose from his chair, feeling lighter than usual, and moved towards the toy, the cat's inflated torso now shiny and round with two black handles on the back.

When he reached for the air pump, he jumped from what he saw: his hands were now made from a shiny inflated material, the arms now ending in round pooltoy-like appendages, cat pawpads painted in a colorful and cartoony style.

"What the fuck!! No no no!!!", he finally realized what was happening to him, all of his body now made of a reflective material and filled up with air. He desperately tried to turn off the air pump, but his round arms were now too light and clumsy to press the button.

Soon enough, his movements became slower, until they stopped altogether. His head was now also shiny and colorful, depicting a cartoony cat smiling with antlers on top of his head. The air pump timer ran out, and the new cat pooltoy sat in the pool area, unmoving, waiting for anyone to show up and help him.

When his friends came, they found the new cat pooltoy in thepool area. They exclaimed how cute and shiny it was, and wondered if the cat bought a custom toy modeled after him. They also wondered where the cat might have gone to, since he was nowhere to be seen. They decided to wait for him in the water, playing around and taking turns on top of the roundy cat pooltoy, unaware of the truth behind its cartoony face.

And curiously, when they arrived, the maned wolf pooltoy was nowhere to be seen.

ThePool is a captivating collection of underwater self-portraits created by Killian. These images offer a unique and intimate perspective as the photographer becomes both subject and artist.

By immersing himself beneath the water's surface, Killian constructs a surreal and dreamlike world. am 10. März 2023 im Pool, Tersteegenstraße 63, 40474 Düsseldorf

Es war mir eine große Freude, dieses Neue Musik Konzert im Pool organisieren zu dürfen.

Ich wurde in den letzten Tagen häufiger gefragt, wie es denn war, das Konzert im Pool. Ich kann das ehrlicherweise nicht objektiv beurteilen. Ich glaube es war gut (vielleicht sogar sehr gut). Ich weiss aber, dass es nicht alle so empfunden haben, was mir ehrlicherweise berichtet wurde und was mich nicht überrascht, denn Neue Musik ist per se nicht unterhaltsam oder rein vergnüglich. Neues Musik verlangt dem Zuhörer einiges ab und stimuliert anders, ja möglicherweise auf einer anderen Ebene als z.B. Jazz- oder Pop-Musik.

An dieser Stelle komme ich immer in Erklärungsnot. Ich berichte dann gerne davon, wie sich die meisten Neue Musik Konzerterlebnisse bei mir abspielen. Ich sage dann meist so etwas: Wenn es losgeht, bin ich sehr aufmerksam und hochkonzentriert bei den Musikern. Wer macht was und wie wirkt es aufeinander und auf mich. Dabei erwische ich mich, dass ich einige Uhhhs und Ähhhs im Kopf habe. Ich scheine mich zu wehren, was aber nicht verwunderlich ist, denn ein Neue Musik Konzert ist eine komplexe, sinnliche Erfahrung, die meiner Alltagserfahrung kaum entspricht. Ich sitze also da und wundere mich. Ich werde "umprogrammiert", scheint es –– und das ist erstmal nicht sehr angenehm. Nach einigen Minuten befinde ich mich in einer Tagtraumphase. Ereignisse der letzten Stunden geistern mir durch den Kopf (Was lief gut, was lief so la-la?) und vermischen sich mit der Wahrnehmung der Musik. Ich weiss nicht, wie lange das am 10. März im Pool so ging, aber irgendwann bin ich wieder aufgewacht, war wieder hellwach und wieder fokussiert auf das Spiel der Musiker. Bewegung der Hände, Augen, Füße. Alles ergibt nun Sinn. Sämtliche Irritation ist verflogen und so könnte es nun stundenlang weitergehen. Ich bin nun erfolgreich "umprogrammiert" worden. Meine Wirklichkeit ist umprogrammiert worden. Sie ist nun artifizieller als zuvor, scheinbar logischer, reiner, besser. Winkt Platon vom Notenblatt herüber? Schon möglich.

Wie auch immer –– irgendwann geht es zu Ende, das Konzert ist vorbei. Ein neues, ungewohntes Gefühl breitet sich aus. War alles falsch, unecht, was bis gerade noch so wirksam und stabil erschien? In den anerkennenden Applaus für die Musiker mischt sich das Wundern und Staunen über die eigene Empfindung. Es braucht eine Weile, bis man in die (konventionelle) Realität zurück gekrabbelt ist –– keine Angst, der Weg zurück funktioniert immer. Aber es bleibt auch etwas zurück. Das Wissen um diese Erfahrung stellt für mich eine Bereicherung dar. Die Welt ist vielfältiger, reicher, freier geworden. Diese Bereicherung ist der mentale Gewinn bei der Beschäftigung mit Neuer Musik und in ihrer Geistiggeist (Mentalität) hat sie nun mal ihren Ursprung.

Ich denke, diese Form der Erfahrung sollten wir uns öfter gönnen oder zumuten –– je nach dem, wie spielerisch unser Umgang mit der mentalen Umprogrammierung/ Manipulation ausgebildet ist. Ich jedenfalls freue mich auf weitere Konzerte dieser Art.

大家～有沒有在地獄幽魂展結束前去看看啊， 沒看的話， 可以到我七月初時分享的去看看看看啊～ 如果也有去看展的話， 應該也會跟我一樣吧～ 一樣幹嘛呢？ 就是看完展， 直接到頂樓那美到不行的南美春室去吃個下午茶， 放鬆一下看完展的心情。 而且也因為這地獄幽魂展的關係， 南美春室也推出了期間限定的品項『孟婆湯』， 讓你喝完後， 忘記那些不開心的事。 而我這次來， 當然是要來試試他們這期間限定的品項， 然後搭配個好看又好吃的甜點啊！ ｜孟婆湯 說穿了， 他就是芒果美式。 切碎的芒果混入冰美式， 他的香甜跟微酸， 跟美式咖啡的苦還有酸， 至於明顯的澀味， 我個人是覺得是來自檸檬皮， 因為他的苦澀感跟咖啡有明顯的不同， 同樣的味道， 但是有不一樣的層次， 就像人生好苦， 但是生活的苦跟工作的苦就是不一樣啊！ 這道最夢幻的部分大概就是他送餐上來時， 店員再加蓋的咖啡杯裡面灌進了一些乾冰之類的氣體， 讓他再打開時， 讓煙霧緩緩從水面緩緩散去， 增添了一些特別的視覺感覺。 ｜小山園抹茶苔球 回烤過再出餐， 所以他最外層的口感是有微微的酥感， 裡面的話，口感很鬆， 很像你把磅蛋糕弄碎， 然後再輕輕的把他們塑形之後再吃的口感。 他大部分的口味是抹茶的， 咖啡色的部分則是焙茶口味， 兩種不同風味的蛋糕體結合在一起不衝突， 焙茶讓抹茶吃起來更有深度， 官方介紹說裡面有融化的68%法芙娜巧���力， 但吃起來好像沒什麼感覺， 倒是那個核桃塊跟核桃碎粒是蠻有感的， 幾乎每口都可以吃到他微微的堅果味道跟口感。 外面淋上的那層抹茶醬， 濃郁的抹茶苦香味的讓我好喜歡啊！ 真要說這款甜點我不愛的地方， 大概就是他的油味有點太重， 容易讓人膩口， 稍微沒那麼清爽， 建議可以兩人共食一份。 #thepool #南美春室 #台南美術館2館 #春室 #甜點店 #咖啡店 #網美咖啡店 #室內設計 #台南美食 #台南甜點 #期間限定 #地獄幽魂展 #北極是吃貨 #coffee #mangocoffee #dessert #ooundcake #matcha #hojicha #chocolatedessert #museum #tainanmuseun #matchadessert #孟婆湯 #小杉元抹茶苔球 #網美勝地 #popdaily #poptainan #popyummy #pop台南 （在 南美春室The POOL） https://www.instagram.com/p/CkPSHMJvq23/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
