I don't know what happened to this film and why the director Shane Black has done to it. The Predator was an let down sequel and really disappointed me and girlfriend. There wasn't too much fighting going on and the mega Predator was too CGI, storyline was jumbled, and really was a fan film that didn't deserve to be in theaters. THE PREDATOR 2018: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.. : (Spoiler free) I didn’t hear great things about this movie but wanted to try it as I like the original Predator films. Now, if your expecting a film with a mysterious cool Predator sneaking about giving a tense horror feel, you’ll be disappointed. There is no mystique to the alien, they are full-screen fully-lit aliens running around talking and making mistakes. So in that way it’s not a good “Predator movie” but it was a good very fun action/comedy movie. There were jokes and interesting amiable characters. I’ve come to dislike the phrase, “guilty pleasure,” over the years, because honestly, if someone enjoys a movie, a piece of music, or anything, why should they feel guilty about it? That said, there are 5 movies in particular from this year that aren’t particularly good, but have something about them that I quite enjoy, and don’t mind revisiting. Let’s start with the most bizarre one of the bunch- “Venom.” This movie is flat-out bonkers, and truthfully, not very good. But whether it’s Tom Hardy’s weird lead performance or the presence of Michelle Williams or the great title track by Eminem, there’s an energy to this film that is nothing but fun to partake in. The rest of the films here are passable, but “Fifty Shades Freed,” the final film in that trilogy, has many of the same ludicrous plotting as “Venom,” although Dakota Johnson, the franchise’s unquestioned MVP, keeps this film from falling off a cliff quite like that does. Franchises continue to be on this particular menu with the beautifully shot, but narratively undercooked, likes of “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” which continues the film’s fun de-evolution into B-movie madness, while Shane Black’s “The Predator” took its cues less from the original movie and more from its crazy first sequel in terms of sensibility and narrative. That leaves us with probably the “best” of the bunch in “The Spy Who Dumped Me,” an action comedy that does nothing especially new, but delivers a wonderful comedic performance by Kate McKinnon as Mila Kunis’s best friend trying to stay alive. A Fan Theory

As well all know there is a new Predator movie coming out in a couple weeks, and as a huge fan I’ve noticed a few things that I would like to share. It was confirmed that the new predator has a DNA upgrade, but we still don’t know what kind of upgrade is involved and with what DNA was used. But I have a theory, probably not a good one but I’m gunna throw it out there anyways. As with any fandom that I’m in, if there is a sequel movie coming out I will binge watch the whole series from start to last. And when the news came out of the new predator movie I rewatched the series and came across something. So, when I had come to the 2010 movie Predators I had a thought come to mind. We all know that the original yautja as the star in the predator movies, but in Predators a subspecies is made the star. And it is my theory that the new 2018 predator has a bit of both the original yautja and the subspecies yautja mixed together.

For example, the original predators are more earthy colors. Browns, greens, greys, colors that are easier to blend into nature with. Whereas the subspecies is more blacks, greys, and even reds. Which is much harder to blend into nature with. The original yautja are taller than humans for sure, but in Predators the original that was prisoner to the subspecies was dwarfed by the newer yautja. The 2018 predator is nearly twice as tall as the original, and my theory is that with both the original and the subspecies DNA the heights would be combined. But I also have to take I to consideration that there could be a DNA used that I am unaware of that adds to the height of this new predator. I also know that this new predator had scaly skin like the subspecies, but with a smoother texture like the original. The new predator has the darker coloring of the subspecies with splashes of red, bigger claws and more flared mandibles, yet has a more original look to the face.

The difference between the two is painfully clear. But when you look at the new predator you can see both of them in this new breed of yautja.

So, my theory is that this new predator is a mix between the original yautja and the subspecies yautja. Any comments and or theories of your own are welcome! I would love to know what you guys think as well!
