"You wear each one of your emotions like the freckles upon your cheeks, a smattering of stardust only visible under the right light."

The voice had Fuyuhiko startling, the yakuza nearly falling from his perch upon a high tree branch when it had broken him from his thoughts, the rustle of leaves being the only answer Gundham received until the smaller man could keep himself from crashing to the ground.

"What the fuck does that even mean? If you're here to spout poetry at me, you're gonna have to do better than that." Gundham just smiled, a playful glint in his eye as he stared up at the man in the tree. It may have been huffed, but it wasn't a dismissal, more of an invitation, if one knew how to read it.

"Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer’s lease hath all too short a date: Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimm’d; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance or nature’s changing course untrimm’d."

The breeder looked smug from where he stood, no doubt realizing the yakuza hadn't actually expected him to spout such prose at him. Were they just words? A simple memorization? Or had they been meant for him, to say what Gundham couldn't normally? Fuyuhiko just rolled his eyes though, ignoring how the blush on his cheeks only reinforced Gundham's initial statement, the freckles popping out brightly under the right light.

"Real original, try again." Another invitation, more obvious this time, one that had a smile on the breeder's lips as he stepped closer to the tree, a hand on the bark as he gazed up at the other.

"But from thine eyes my knowledge I derive, And, constant stars, in them I read such art As truth and beauty shall together thrive, If from thyself, to store thou wouldst convert; Or else of thee this I prognosticate: Thy end is truth’s and beauty’s doom and date."

Fuyuhiko just looked confused at the word's end, mind sifting through what he knew in an attempt to identify them, but without success. Gundham had planned that too, no doubt, all in an effort to make the yakuza talk, curiosity getting the best of him.

"...Alright, I'll bite. What the fuck was that?" Gundham's smile only grew, his hand leaving the bark to be replaced by his shoulder in a casual lean.

"It is still Shakespeare. Sonnet fourteen, I do believe, but from the middle. I felt it more fitting." Fuyuhiko replayed the words, what exactly all that could mean, but starting from the middle was no way to solve a problem, one had to go back to the start.

"...What's the beginning?" Not an opening of a door, but the closing of one, this time behind the breeder instead of in his face.

"Not from the stars do I my judgement pluck; And yet methinks I have Astronomy, But not to tell of good or evil luck, Of plagues, of dearths, or seasons’ quality; Nor can I fortune to brief minutes tell, Pointing to each his thunder, rain and wind, Or say with princes if it shall go well By oft predict that I in heaven find..."

A beat of pause.

"You've been avoiding me." It's said simply, and offers no room for argument, but Fuyuhiko tries anyways.

"That's not part of the poem." It's said just a simply, as obvious as Gundham's observation had been, but it's hollow, once again a reinforcement of the breeder's last words.

"Not his no, but ours." That brought a sneer to Fuyu's lips, so very tired of trying to read between the lines. No doubt Gundham was thinking the same thing.

"Maybe you should take up poetry, you fucking overdramatic bastard." It's an insult, yes, but one without heat, the anger behind it a simple cover to the real problem at hand. Gundham was nearing the start, and Fuyuhiko knew it.

"What is poetry without a muse?" It's not meant to be bait, but it acts as such anyways, Fuyuhiko offering a scoff as he averts his gaze, fingers picking idly at the bark of his perch.

"What, Sonia isn't good enough?" His eyes widen with a realization, the words not meant to be spoken. It wasn't Sonia's fault she was friends with the breeder, that she could pick apart what he said with ease. It wasn't jealously, but it was still ugly, a longing for something he didn't have. 

"Ah, so that's what this is about." For once, the breeder doesn't sound smug, but sad, even if his plan to get Fuyuhiko talking had worked. It only made the yakuza all the angrier, his guilt at speaking what wasn’t mean to be spoken forgotten as he spat out his words with a sneer.

"Don't fucking pretend like you know what I-"

"You rotate around each other as simple as breathing, have a history in that there is none. Simple infatuation born of close proximity, only having the other and nothing else to call their own besides misery and trauma of the worst kind."

"Will you stop with the fucking poetry?!"

"It is not poetry, but you and Pekoyama. A simple observation, nothing more."

Silence. Emotions seen in the right light.

"Sure fucking sounds like poetry." But it's softer, another invitation, if one knew how to read it.

"Perhaps it is because I am looking upon my muse." A smug smirk from Gundham, reflected back on the yakuza's face. A door opened.

"Real fucking original, try again."

You feel weird because you miss jj but john b is your boyfriend too so you try to make an effort but it’s just not the same and it doesn’t come as naturally the way it does when you’re with Jayj. you’re trying, because you do like john b a lot and you’re just not quite sure why you haven’t been connecting with him like you have jj and you feel super guilty, knees to your chest as you sit in the small boat with john b, the boy quietly taking you out until there’s nothing but still, calm water surrounding you. he’s quiet because he’s trying to think of ways to address this, to win you over.

“hey,” he addresses you gently, snapping you out of your thoughts making you look up at him with a guilty smile. he stares back with a creased brow, big puppy dog eyes seeing right through you. “come sit right here, ‘kay?” he offers gently, gesturing to between his legs as he sits facing the water, preparing his fishing rod.

you nod, easing your way over and sitting with your back to his chest, slowly relaxing against him but not fully— the whole thing just feeling kind of bizarre without jj here.

he throws his hook out, the air filling with calm beneath the summer sun. you close your eyes, letting the warmth hit your face. he glances down at you, waiting for a fish to take his bait. you’re so beautiful it makes his heart ache.

“i know things are different okay? i’m not an idiot.” he speaks barely above a whisper, and your eyes flutter open, seeing him watching you.

“hm?”

“you and jj… there’s just… you’d rather it be just him, right?” his own words hurt him and he shifts his gaze to stare out at the water. you say nothing for a moment. it wasn’t strictly true. you liked john b, and you liked having him around — there just seemed to be more desire for the blonde, more chemistry. but you figured that was down to jj. he was totally charismatic, he could probably have chemistry with a brick wall.

“no.” you whisper shaking your head and john b’s eyes flutter, pressing his lips together. he didn’t love being lied to.

“then why do i feel like i’m losing out to him?” he asks, doing something you didn’t understand with his fishing rod. you weren’t really focused on all that anyway.

“i don’t… i don’t know. i don’t want it to be like that. there’s just something about him that gets more of a reaction out of me. but i do like you john b, i — i do want you here.”

he’s silent for a while, thinking. maybe focusing. you feel bad, bottom lip tucked beneath your teeth with a furrowed brow as you stare out over the water.

“maybe…” he clears his throat, gaining your attention once more. “maybe you just haven’t given me a chance.”

“how do you mean?” you squint in the sun, and hesitantly, one of his warm, tanned hands comes to rest on your knee. you stare at it.

“i mean…” he sighs out his nose, and his hand starts to slide downward, further up your thigh making your lips part a little. now this wasn’t like john b. “just me and you. you haven’t given us a chance ‘cos jj always takes the spotlight. and i get it, i do— i mean he’s jj—” his hand slowly creeps higher and you feel your legs naturally spread a little. “but now it’s just us… and… maybe you just need help seeing…” his hand slides over your inner thigh, up and down— teasing you. “just how good i could treat you.”

you turn your head to look at him, really look at him— and maybe it was the lack of sleep, or the sun, or the fact he was turning you on — but for the first time you wasn’t thinking about JJ at all, instead feeling your heart swell for the puppy-dog eyed brunette pressed against your back. you tilt your head, eyes on his mouth and he gets the message, coming down to kiss you.

yes i KNOW it's obvious to choose a song from a musical BUT. ride the cyclone is special, i think he'd really like the lack of an ensemble and enjoy the dark premise despite the comedic nature of a vast majority of the show. also i totally think his favourite performance would be by gus halper bc of the use of the projector. mischa or noel is definitely a dream role of his.

don mcleans lyricism is like catnip to poets and it has gone unacknowledged for far too long. a lyrically gorgeous, vaguely queer sounding song about a tortured artist, covered by someone with an ANGELIC voice. can you name anything more todd? not to mention the piano is so far beyond moving, nothing short of a masterpiece.

charlie: dear prudence - siouxsie and the banshees (again - a cover, og by the beatles)

firm believer that charlie was an avid beatles hater for a WHILE until eleanor rigby grew on him, much to his dismay. is now a casual beatles enjoyer, only due to the fact that their vocals annoy him. so a cover by siouxsie sioux (whom he most definitely has a crush on) is basically a blessing in disguise. loves the instrumentals, loves the vocals, loves all of it. insists that its better than the original and will ultimately die (correct) on that hill.

meeks: love on the line (call now) - her's

as much as i love and adore meeks, i have been loyal to my headcanon that he is an annoying music snob since day one. of course, this culminates in his favourite song being by THE indie pop/rock band that pretentious people love to bring up the death of. he is no exception, any time the band is mentioned he will without fail go "did you know that they died in a car crash?" either way, id be lying if i said this was a bad pick. the upbeat vibe mixed with the actual meaning of the song being about a guy wasting all his money on a sex hotline? it makes the whole song so fun, and thats right up his alley! super danceable too, which plays a huge part.

pitts: bad fruit - jean dawson

will mona ever shut up about jean dawson? signs point to no. anywho, if you've followed along with my pittsie musings then you KNOW that i consider pitts to be the most well versed music guy to ever step on welton academy campus. realistically, im sure his favourite song changes on a day to day basis, but he always comes back to this. jean dawson makes art that ive seen few do similarly, everything he brings to the table i find so incredibly unique and well crafted. definitely pitts' biggest music crush.

cameron: '39 - queen

absolutely, 100%, without a doubt, an extremely guilty pleasure. i take his parents as the type to ban queen in their household (for reasons that im sure youre able to pick up on) but i ALSO take cameron as a sucker for classic rock, match made in hell. of course, since brian may does the vocals on this song instead of freddie, he can listen on the dl and be fine. also, the concept of time travel in music is SO!!! INTERESTING!! would absolutely go on a 10 minute long tangent about the story and meaning of the song, which only mittsie would actually listen to.

knox: lavender buds - MF DOOM

fine, FINE. i'll give knox a proper headcanon, but i wont be happy about it. i think i would listen to MF DOOM a lot more if i was a former bully, but thats not actually based off anything so dont take that as an insult, avid listeners. honestly i dont really have an in depth explanation for this one, just look at the lyrics and youll understand.

“’toru?” you muttered but to no avail. the same name bounces of your lips the moment you enter the building before you, then it bounces again and again off the grey walls within and into the corridor. 

was he outside? you walked back out from the nearest exit, still he was nowhere to be seen. thunder growls from above and you looked around, the streets were oddly empty as down the road it was filled with little cars... but where are the people? “’s like a ghost town,” you thought when you stepped back in, only to confuse yourself with the empty place again. 

“’toru? quit playing around!” 

the footsteps that clicks and clacks beneath you begins to weigh your heart down, he definitely might be a cheeky person, just... this seriously isn’t it. 

not when you almost yelled out his name in this new room covered in sickening white. 

a clock ticks and ticks inside of you when every corner and small divider was nothing but pure white — but the floor isn’t though! It is grey! but white, oh white just like his hair — god where the hell is he? it’s like the string in you is going to snap anytime soon now. 

did he decided to disappear from your life forever? did you do something wrong to him? anything he didn’t like? did his best friend get him like the theories he had laid out before you?

“please just appear right from the corner,” you begged silently with tears threatening to spill from your eyes. just a dumb jump scare from him was much preferable than this disgusting game you were in. 

“satoru? ‘toru where are you?” you sobbed, your throat almost dry from crying for god knows how long. with hands fumbling around the sheets you instead met with a pair of hands. he shushes you, before chuckling and pulling you into his embrace.

“i’m here, i’m here.” you sobs only grew but muffled by his warm chest, his hands rubbing circles around your back he doesn’t question the weird, unsettling dream you had immediately.

this time whatever he thought was cute and funny disappear when your grip tightens around the hem of his shirt. “y/n...”

“open up the door!” a familiar voice booms into your dark room, you hadn’t done anything wrong — neither did the man beside you too that you know of. 

“shit,” you hear toji curse under his breath. shit? what does he mean? whatever question that was formed inside of your head turned to nothing as you could only focus on how off something had felt.

“y/n.” in a second from just beside you, now he had yanked you over to him near the closet. “whatever happens, y/n. do not open or come out. okay —” 

his voice gets cut off by the muffles and shuffles right outside of his door. your mouth opens, trying to protest but failed the moment your back hits the wall in your dark closet, knocking the air out of you. 

with wobbly hands you make your way near the small slit and much to your horror you watched as your husband gets dragged away by several men dressed in dark kimonos. his head covered with a rice bag as a man pointed him at knifepoint by his neck. 

you felt... pathetic. 

the whole time while you were with toji he had always protected you, yet something as simple as this? something capable for you or he but why couldn’t you do something? anything? why can’t you speak up? 

was it because he told you not to? 

but why wasn’t he doing something? why isn’t he doing anything? 

“if i were you, y/n. i’d drop him when i know he’s from the zen’in clan,” the familiar voice was much nearer this time, as if he was right beside you. you froze under his green gaze through the door gap, hands forming cold sweats at megumi’s chuckle. 

whatever he spoke next was incoherent since you couldn’t be bothered to listen to him anymore. you needed to save him. stubborn you were, you burst out only to be hold still by your stomach — a katana. “huh?” 

“huh?” your husband repeats after you, his eyebrows furrow before chuckling a little. “you had a nightmare, eh?” 

you remained silent, only letting the tears fall while you register every drag and ruffle of his warm hand against the back of your head after he had pulled you in for a hug. you hear him chuckle from above, still you don’t have the energy to hit him back in protest. 

“you can tell me later in the morning over breakfast. hm?”

“‘guru? babe?” your desperate calls were of no use to stop the noises coming from the washroom. 

rushing, you froze in your spot at the black liquid spurts out of the raven’s lips which you waste no second gathering the back of his hair to support him. 

you remained silent, he usually wouldn’t vomit his guts out after swallowing dark balls of curses, which only makes this concerning for the two of you. 

the grip on his hair slowly falls apart yet you still tried to grab it again, waiting for him to finish and lift his head up. yet he didn’t, his figure remains bent as the shots of gut-wrenching noises went on and on into the toilet bowl. 

at this point he wasn’t going to come up, so with hesitance in fear of the smell you inch closer to his face the moment he pauses. your breath already held back in, yet for some reason you managed to hitch a breath as you let go of his hair at the sight.

your heart sank at the horrendous amount of crimson. 

“babe? babe? babe — BABE!” 

“Y/N!” 

your eyes broke open but they squint due to the sudden brightness and for once you felt that it was easier to breathe again. 

“‘guru...?” lips trembling, tears threaten to spill from the corners of your eyes at the sight of your fiancé by your side. a cup of water already prepared by his side.

“yea?” he whispers, his eyes searches into yours. “wanna talk about it?” 

solemnly you nodded, which he listens, his thumb never once stop grazing the back of your hand. 

“i’ve never vomited before — wait i did, once, as a kid since i was new to it.” he shrugs, turning to look at you, a smile makes his way to his lips. “don’t worry, i doubt it’ll be that way.” 

maybe it’s best not to tell you the possibility of it at all.

What did I really expect? That the super hot guy would completely ignore the pretty popular girl and go for a complete nobody like me? Pfft, don’t make me laugh. Veronica is gorgeous and I’m just bland. She’s popular and bubbly and I have like 4 friends and boring. She goes to party’s. I stay home and watch horror movies all night. After I left JD in the English classroom with Veronica I felt sick. Sick to my stomach. Like somebody just punched me in the gut and ripped it out.

I walked down the halls highly aware of everyone around me. I felt weird. Different. This can’t be normal. He’s just a teenage boy that I spoke to for half an hour.

A few seconds later I heard my name get called.

“Y/N!”

I looked back and saw half of my friend group waving me over.

We spoke for a bit before rushing off to 2nd period.

The class went by quick and next thing I knew I was sat at a table with my friend group in the cafeteria.

I was talking to my friend, Erica, and then heard obnoxiously loud laughing.

I turned to see who was making the annoying noise and was not surprised when I saw the 3 heathers and Veronica sat at the table watching Martha dunnstock open a letter and read it. The poor girl goes through hell because of them.

I watched as Martha got up and walked towards Ram Sweeney with the note in her hand. But before she got there Veronica swooped in front of her and started talking to her.

At least the girl has some sort of heart.

Martha then walked past Kurt and Rams table after a few minutes of talking to Veronica. The heathers were not happy.

I watch Veronica start to walk across the cafeteria back to the heathers.

Just then, when I turned around, I was greeted to J.D stood next to me at the side of my table.

“Hey”, he said with a small smile.

“Oh hey, how’s your first day going”, I replied politely with a small smile.

I seemed normal but inside I was screaming and felt like I was about to go bright red.

He was talking to me! He came to me instead of going over to attempt to get Veronica’s attention! Ohmigod Ohmigod OHMIGOD!

“It’s not too bad”, he said.

His gaze then slipped from me to somewhere else in the caf.

I looked to see where.

Of course, sawyer. It was so good to be true hey?

“Hey, what’s sawyers deal? Is she single?”, he asked.

I have two options.

I tell him the truth that Veronica’s single or..

I say she’s either dating someone or simply that I’m pretty sure she’s gay.

Ima go with the gay.

“Oh yeah I think she’s a lesbian”, I say trying to hide the giggle that’s trying to force its way out.

“Oh, right. That’s cool”, he says, clearly faking a smile.

I could tell her was disappointed but it’s giving me a chance I guess.

“Ya wanna sit here? There’s definitely enough room for you to sit here”, I say patting the bench next to me after moving up the bench a good bit.

“Oh, yeah sure”, he says with a tight smile.

I introduced him to my friends and then we went to talking about ms Fleming and her random bursts of energy in class.

Before I knew it the bell rang.

Fuck I have German.

“What’s your next class”, JD asked.

“German”, I said with a groan.

“Well it’s your lucky day because I have German too”, he smiles with a wink.

“Oh my god. Thank Jesus. Let’s go before Ms.Macy shits herself”.

I grab him and walk out of the cafeteria before Veronica can see him.

We spent the whole next class talking about movies.

Horror movies come up in the conversation.

“I can’t handle horror movies well”, I whisper to him.

“Awh come on they’re not that bad”, he whispers back with a breathy laugh.

“How bout after school today we go to my house and we watch one. Sound good?”, he asked.

“Yeah I’m down. My moms working till pretty late anyways she won’t mind”, I say.

“Cool”, he replies with a smile.

The school day past quicker than I expected. And next thing I knew I was sat on the back of JDs motorbike. I looked around me. He hadn’t started to drive yet.

“Wrap your arms around my torso when we start driving. And grab on tight”, he said looking back at me with a smile. He gave me a helmet.

“What about you? Aren’t you gonna wear one?”, I asked.

“No. I’m fine. I never wear it”, he said.

I gave a breathy laugh in reply.

In the corner of my eye I could see Veronica staring over. I looked at her and gave her a wave (just to be petty) but made it look real.

She gave a tight smile and waved back.

“Get ready”, he said booting up the bike.

We drove through town really fast and ended up at his house.

I texted my mom to let her know I’d be home later today.

BRO IVE BEEN WANTING TO DO BJD'S FOR AGES its only recently that i kinda want to make the sandersons sbndndndnd. i still wanna do the plushies first cuz im not super great with making things by hand and i dont have the materials to make bjd's of 'em yet. i do have some old dolls, but i get the feeling that if i try to work on them, theyre gonna get really badly messed up

initially i wanted to make the redesigns i have for some of my fave monster high characters so they look more monstery, mostly headmistress bloodgood cuz i am determined to make her look more like a dullahan cuz i have so many thoughts about that in particular and im a lil saddened they never really took that route, but its understandable cuz a) that'd probs take a lot of time to animate and b) dullhahan are actually really terrifying and i dont think they wanted to make her so scary that she'd frighten kids (i feel like if they did go that route, lil kid me wouldve fallen even harder for her than i already did and that is saying something sbdbdn)

i feel like you could probably use some kind of sculpting or modeling clay to add on to the dolls to make them fat, but idk what types of clay would work for that dbbdbd. like, ive seen so many people use clay to sculpt out horns or thicken and/or lengthen a doll's arms or legs, so i dont see why you couldnt do somwthing similar for mary

i swear its something about creating a 3 dimensional thing that feels so exciting and so intrinsicly human, if that makes sense? like, being able to make dolls and figurines and charms and stuff out of clay and puting it together onto something sturdy to make sure it doesnt fall to pieces, something people have done since forever and changed it over time with new materials to work with and new processes to use it just. idk if im maoing a lick of sense, i just woke up shdjdnnf

i dont really have much experience in the sculpting area, but i think thats what makes working with new mediums so much fun. just being able to mess around and learn firsthand what works and doesnt work and learning from that, using your old creations and inspiration for something new. thats part of the reason why i keep a lot of my sketches, even if theyre really old. i always wind up inspired by it, and i wind up recreating the thing with how i do art now, or i try to put it into a new medium i learned as a sort of testament to how much that thing meant to me

LCB CH01 [8]? Overal thoughts

I forgot to say my overall thoughts on Limbus Company so, here it is (I'm copying this from my twitter post). This doesn't spoil anything story specific btw

I would say that the biggest appeal has to be the story and characters. The main cast of sinners are so chaotic and have distinctive personalities (besides Mersault but that’s aggressively the point). It’s clear we’re supposed to love this dysfunctional group and unwrap the story around them. Dante (who we play as) was a pleasant surprise considering that I wasn’t sure he would have a personality. If you follow me you should know my fav is Gregor.

And add to that a strange and twisted world that I’ve heard is super expansive with lore and world building, yeah, I’m super stoked for what’s in the future.

For the gameplay, Im not super knowledgeable on how to analyze gameplay but I found it fun for the most part. It’s a bizarre mix of fast and easy gameplay that makes you feel like a monster, only to suddenly hit a difficulty wall and get the team obliterated.

There are also A LOT of mechanics that at first don’t seem to affect the gameplay until you hit those difficulty spikes.

It’s a very wordy game, not just in story but also those mechanics. From status effects, random coin tosses, and gathering material for your ultimate attack, the game felt a bit overwhelming, even the tutorial didn’t quite help me understand the hud. I had to actually look into guides on YouTube to help me out, especially in Chapter 3.

I don’t really mind cause following the game, at lot of people talked about how this was standard for project moon games.

But it might be a bit much for some players. It’s definitely not a casual game for quick fun. Battles may take awhile, especially against abnormalities (monsters). You’re going to have to grind once you get to chapter 3 (trust me). And certain fights will wipe the floor with you if you don’t take the time to read the mechanics and make a solid team.

Now as for fairness, i haven’t spent any money on the game. And so far I’ve been fairing well. The base characters are actually pretty useful and I’ve been using them more than the ones I got from the gatcha (except for g-corp Gregor, I love him)

So yeah, the game will take up a lot of time but I haven’t found it unfair or tedious so far. But I’ll have to see how that changes as the game goes forward.

To be honest, I kinda feel like I would have tolerated bad gameplay if it meant unlocking more story. Its that charming.

So, cause twitters character limit sucks, I’m very happy with the game so far. I’ve been following its development for a while, and it’s given me everything I wanted from it.

I wish I could add more detail but I think this is a good explanation for now.

It may be a bit intimidating for some, but it’s free so there’s no harm in trying it out.

You may need some outside help to grasp how the game works, but that means we can all suffer together /s.

So, if you wanna delve into a dark but charming game, give it a try.

Just heed the content warnings though, there’s some dark themes, imagery that may be disturbing, and body horror.

Hiiiiiiiiii i kinda had a question #lol. The fact that you write is awesome and makes me wanna write too, but every time i try i feel like i have such a large amount of self doubt that comes with it. Every single scene i finish is accompanied by an "oh god this sucks" in my head. Im also having a lot of trouble getting character voices down?? Like wow. Writing's harder than i thought it would be🫡 anyways just wanted to see if you had like tips or anything for dealing with that😨😨😨

Okay so my most practical advice is for how to get character voice. What I'll do as a writing exercise is I'll pick an episode of a show or like a scene from a movie or maybe a podcast episode, pick a medium that has a focus on dialogue. Transcribe the dialogue as you watch or listen (pause or turn on subtitles as needed) and pause the thing between chunks of dialogue and add the action tags, describe what the characters are feeling, give them internal monologue, describe the setting. I know this sounds tedious and like it is and it might not work for you and you definitely can't post it. But it makes me super aware of characters' speech patterns, the way they pause between words, what nicknames or phrases they use often, etc. It's also something that I just pick up on naturally, like I'll talk like my friends not as like an impression of their voice but how they talk and people say it's spooky.

The short cut to nailing how a character talks is to steal dialogue directly from the source, have them use nicknames from canon, and like be aware of their general tone. Like in most situations, Deadpool leans into a more jokey way of speak while Spider-Man is sarcastic with dry jokes and Daredevil is serious and gruff. These will change with each situation you know characters have moods and stuff. But if you're familiar with the source material you're probably really close to a character's voice that you think

with original stories, if I want to create a strong voice for characters and narration, I'll do a writing warm up by going outside or like a library and describe what I experience. I'm not allowed to start writing my actual thing until I include all five senses in those descriptions. I also tend to narrate how I think which doesn't work for everyone but I love metaphors and alliteration so it works. With original characters, they're usually based on someone I know so I'll just memorize their exact words or watch videos that they send me. It's kinda creepy tbh. But rule of thumb is to always read your stuff out loud, heck I usually say the dialogue before I write it, and it gives it a more human sound.

Okay practical advice done now I gotta tell you the thing you won't like. The best way to get over the "this sucks" mentality is to just write a lot. Anytime I'm not so sure about my own writing, I got back to the Hamilton fanfic I wrote in middle school that I proudly put on the internet and sent to my friends and I think "okay it could be so much worse" self-doubt will always be a part of the process you will always be your worst critic. But also you've also gotta be your biggest fan, it helps to find someone else to hype you up, but I dare you to read what you've written a say at least one nice thing about it. Any time you're in the editing stage, say one nice thing about what you've written before you say something that's not working. When you finish editing, say one thing that you're happy you added. You gotta write a lot but you've gotta be good to yourself

omg this is such a late reply but yea my grad photos turned out pretty nice! my parents even bought me a flower bouquet with some really nice flowers hehe

i listened to arson! i think i like his daydream mixtape more over the arson album but i love the sound he's using this time! i think my fav bside is equal sign omgomg its so good. im excited for their other solo projs too! and also omg hoseok in lollapalooza was so cool! that clip of his reaction to the audience singing back during daydream is circulating my feed and its just such a cute clip. enha arent coming to my city but if they were i would've considered going! im alr going to a couple so idk if i could afford going to see enha too but my friend is gonna travel out of the city to see them so i told her to cheer double for me haha

the plan was originally to go to some nearby islands but then we checked the prices and it was so expensive 💀 so my parents decided to just go on their own when i resume school again in sept lmao. but also i got quite a lot of uni prep to do so we also decided to do the family trip another time

the potteries are pre-made! we just did the painting portion it was so fun. i painted some frogs on mine they looked super cute after im so happy with it. my friends and i discussed that we should take classes to actually make pottery some day and i can make a cute little bowl or wtv is the most beginner item lol

my birthday is at the end of august! so like in abt a little over 2 weeks from when i send this haha omg im gonna become an adult this is so sad im old </3

as for continuing the story, 100%!! ive got it currently laid out as a 3 part three-shot with the potential to add more to him & their story. when i first wrote this half, it was my 3rd fic id ever written im sure so after that i didnt know how the demand for it was going to be, but he seems to be the most popular one!!! because i wasnt sure about how popular he was going to be, i placed part 2 on a semi back burner to focus on other things but honestly i yearn to bring him back so much 😭🥺!!! he really has a special place in my heart. i have just under half of part two written, here is a sneak peak under the 'keep reading' if you're interested in what he have 😇. your ask has made me want to go home and crack open his doc and wipe the dust away.. who knows 👀 maybe soon?? 👀 💓💓💓
