honestly love when artists draw copious amounts of fanart for a character and then start adding more and more personal touches or headcanons to how they depict them and then just change their name and adopt them as an original character. its like watching nature heal in real time

Idk why people think it's funny to buy shit from shien or temu or whatever slavery-corp is popular at the time just to video themselves laughing at the quality of the products. It's badly made because it's unrelentingly shoved through a production line for a few pennies each garment- this isn't fucking "content" and honestly these rich influencers should feel ashamed to openly admit that they're buying from companies that force their workers into slavery conditions.

if there’s one trend i hope dies in the future it’s making fun of light mode users

there’s a lot of valid reasons to use it (including, y’know, just preferring it) but i personally use it because i have cataracts that make reading small light text on dark backgrounds on really difficult sometimes and it sucks being made fun of for using what is to me an accessibility aid

anyways i don’t think a lot of ppl think about it tbh. i know i certainly didn’t before i had to start primarily using light mode! so i figured it was something worth bringing up 🤷

i do not trust people who shop at shein i'm sorry like there's no excuse for it. i can understand amazon, i can understand a lot of fast fashion, but shein is uniquely awful. and their clothes fall apart in a week so you can't even keep them and mend them. "but i'm poor" okay and you don't need to buy from shein about it. "they sell shirts for $3" so does michael's check ur local craft store and make a design urself if u want. you cannot seriously tell me that you had no other option other than shein

So there was some Twitter drama today about an artist heavily referencing (to the point where it was mistaken for tracing) AI character sheets in their fan art, and that got me wondering!

I’d also like to hear some elaboration in the comments/rbs/asks if you’d be willing, specifically if the artist disclosing what kind of referencing they’re doing changes your opinion, or if other exceptions exist, as well as your experience with art (visual artist, non visual artist (music, writer, choreographer, etc.), art enjoyer, art hater, art critic, art historian, anything else that might influence your view on art/your opinion on this, etc.)
