okay, SO although this account is based on a heavily canon-divergent and reworked version of mister bloom, there are some thing's that he says in the comics that i think are REALLY accurate to blamore's way of thinking and/or something that he'd say because he does have this mindset that gotham is past the point of saving... so it would be better to just raze it all to the ground. BUT in such a way that will make it seem like a revolutionary because it preaches that it wants a 'better life' for all gothamites + that they should rise up and TAKE what they want, though he is in fact turning people against each other in the process and killing people because some people don't survive consuming a seed at all... and the ones who do STILL tend to die later. so this is the biggest panel that i think still relates to it:

as well as this one, because blamore really DOES sometimes believe in his own hubris that he is a savior and someone who will bring a new beginning to gotham that everyone needs. except no one will be there to enjoy it besides maybe him and a few others, so his logic is beyond flawed. though i truly do believe that the immense amount of stress he was put under combined with actually dying for about three minutes made something snap in blamore... though, that doesn't excuse his actions or anything he does, of course. i'm just saying that it may do a good job of pretending like it's okay a good amount of the time, but it is SO angry and full of resentment towards humanity in reality. because blamore spent what was about eight years of his life studying to help people and years actually doing so as well, but in his point of view, it didn't seem to help. especially after blamore's father got shot.

Okay. When it comes to topa's storyline, and, take this with a HEAVY grain of salt, as I am (afaik) neither trans nor intersex, but it feels to me like their storyline works better as an intersex commentary, than a trans one. Do I think it was intended to be a commentary on trans issues? Yeah, probably, but I also don't think they necessarily meant it in the way it comes across. If you look at it from an intersex lens, however, it lines up WAY more accurately (again. as far as I'm aware. from what I've read. heavy grain of salt.) with the feelings of an intersex individual who'd been operated on at birth, later having complex gender feelings, unaware of themselves being intersex, then finding out this fact and the fact they were operated on as a baby, and being. yknow. upset about that. because altering baby's genitals when there's nothing wrong with them is, in fact, Not Good. Idk. I think I'm the only person on this website who even watches this show but I'd be interested in hearing opinions and having a discussion about this, specifically with trans and intersex fans of the show. See if I'm completely off base, yknow...?

Starting to get the sense that the higher ups at Netflix are having serious second thoughts about going all in on Zack Snyder. During the making of Army of the Dead they were throwing money at him for spin-offs and prequels, even his reject Star Wars fanfic, but since then seem to have quietly dialled back on all things Snyder. The AOTD anime series seems to have shelved indefinitely, his Norse myth series keeps getting pushed back, and there doesn't seem to be any solid plans in place for more Rebel Moon content or really anything else from Snyder besides Part II. No doubt because it was costly, they went all out promoting RM and in the end all they got back was bad reviews, poor audience scores, and it's already dropped out of the top ten in a lot of counties just after a couple of weeks. Wouldn't be at all surprised if Part II get a more lowkey release and the obligatory extended cuts get drop with little or no fanfare.

i do think that percy jackson really does do a good job at making the gods feel godly, they are capricious and self centered, but they are removed, and play in the lives of mortals when they see fit. a lot of stuff in the same vein as percy jackson tries to play up the humanity of the gods which isn't 100% wrong but it does leave them feeling like people with like magic than like gods proper
