if you want max yandere! potential with him, it’s best to have known him even before armin. be close family friends. maybe your parents worked with his dad since marley and were similarly banished (but not turned into mindless titans).

as children he’d always been protective of you. he’d always stick to you like glue. and because of future him’s influence over grisha and essentially your parents, you were arranged to even sleep in the same bed.

but this sort of backfired in the long run cause you saw him as this annoying brother figure that just wouldn’t stop bothering you.

and one day you just blurt out, tired of the suffocation you felt with your friend, with your parents that vehemently kept pushing you two together, of everything in your life that you couldn’t control.

i feel like armin would still be the true trigger of eren’s obsession with the outside and freedom (after all, he doesn’t give a shit about yours so why and how would you influence him in that area?), but you probably pushed him in terms of the survey corps.

you were dumb at the time. i mean as a kid, who isn’t? so you announced to literally everyone you knew that you planned to join the military and eventually explore the outside world.

you didn’t really understand the concept of death and all but whatever that was, you still thought it would be better than eren’s basically isolating you from anything that moves.

you dont truly understand death until eren kills those intruders in mikasa’s house right in front of you.

you were supposed to help him, but only stood there frozen in fear.

speaking of mikasa, her true allegiance/ackerman blood thingy is still with eren in this fic but i headcannon that since his first command was to for her to fight for you she also has the same knee jerk reaction for whenever she perceives you’re being harmed.

in anycase, that day ™️ happens and you all start training.

it had already been obvious since you were teens but eren started looking at you from a different angle. the sexual kind.

your lack of contact with other people due to his influence had made you a bit of a pushover, as such he’d often coerce you into sex or other related acts.

i mean, you had to pity him! he never had the opportunity to explore and act on his urges. mans stayed a virgin til he enlisted and he’s pent up. you try to argue that it’s cause he was so hung up on revenge that he’s bitchless but that only leads to him questioning you if you’ve been seeing other people behind his back.

i mean you two were basically together, why would he see other people? don’t tell him that you’ve been … cheating on him? how could you!

so yeah he does the same thing to mikasa (the manipulation not the sex lol) and forces her to guard the two of you during your ‘trysts’ (which is just him, the inexperienced boy rutting into you and getting off while you stood/laid there uncomfortable silence)in addition to basically shutting down whatever feelings she might have brewing for him (poor mikasa dude)

but surprisingly eren is the most lax to you during this time period. despite the literal r*pe, he basically allowed you to roam around and do whatever for a change. frankly, it was mostly cause he had to catch up in terms of training, but also cause his FREEDOM ideal is the strongest during this phase.

anddd depending on your behavior you might get pimped out. only to those that he can trust though. god even jean got a taste of you because he lost a bet. he promptly beats up the man afterwards though.

if you’re more focused on training and acquiesce to his demands (hormones) however you’ll be enjoying the only three years of your life where eren’s presence wasn’t looming like dread of your death by a titan’s hands.

now i can’t vouch for how accurate i can portray later seasons eren but basically he’s the worst in yan levels at that point.

once he can fully utilize his powers there is literally no escape for you, not even his death, unless you have some sort of power that hides your ass. he’d already prepared for everything from your captivity to how your life will be like after his inevitable demise.

like i said before, he’d be the type to give you an illusion of freedom. he hates the idea of being caged and vice versa. so specifically speaking after his death and the end of the series, you’ll go from being stuck in a remote area to being free but with hundreds of armed guards watching your every move. hell maybe even the whole “town/village/city” you live in will all just be paid actors he had staged. he will never let you move on from him. whether you like it or not, you’re his in life, in death, as he is dying, and beyond that.

Canonly they r NEVER stated to be family or see each other as such(arguments for found family aside) and in the valentines day event devs paired them??? in the picture i had in my og post it was clearly meant to be brave and bright but thats not the only reason i dont see them as family

their chart also doesnt say family, and while for some cookies it makes sense why in ovenbreak it would say that even when canon(Princess and Tigerlily separated at birth so not KNOWING they r related to eachother) Gingerbrave and Gingerbright have interacted w/ each other in MANY forms of cr media being the 2 main mascots even if bright is less so and they have never referred to each other as siblings(to my knowledge, if someone has proof of that ill change my mind). Hell they came out of the oven together and don't call each other siblings. Brave called Dozer his brother in Ovenbreak yet ha called Bright nothing but a trusted friend.

Actually, do you want to know what their charts do say? Bright's chart "My bravest friend! He's so brave!" FRIEND not brother. His? "Shes the brightest Cookie I know!" nothing saying thats his sister, if anything it is actually implying they r close friends again.

- travis and connor stoll r way too underrated. the two have been head counselors of the hermes cabin since luke was revealed as a traitor, can u imagine the stress? luke, the person they probably looked up to as a brother, betrayed them. and they didnt even have time to process this when they were  thrown the roles of being hcs. that would have been so stressful and i would probably have broken down if i were them. the stoll brothers taking turns to wake up at ungodly hours because a new camper is crying and homesick and terrified, the stoll brothers having to comfort and take care of new campers, having to deal with the amount of people in that cramped space because not enough campers are being claimed fast enough. having to resolve issues between campers in the hermes cabin all the time. the stolls arent just comedic relief, and we need to stop treating them as such

- annabeth isnt smarter than leo but neither is leo smarter than annabeth. ive seen a lot of discussions about who is smarter and heres my hot take on it: neither. theyre equally smart, just in different ways. leos a genius mathematically speaking. he has no issues solving math problems meant for people much, much older than him. annabeth on the otherhand, is great at strategies etc. she can make an army of 1000 more powerful than the enemy, even if theyre outnumbered. so in my opinion, both are equally as smart//u cant compare their intelligence, because their talents lie in two different areas.

- while i do agree rick riordan isnt a god and that hes bound to make mistakes,, AND that hes given us a lot of representation,, if the representation offends the people its sposed to represent, then theres a problem. im talking about piper as a poc and wearing feathers in her hair. im not a poc, so i cant speak for them on whether or not its wrong, because i dont know either. HOWEVER, i have seen multiple posts BY pocs talking about how they didnt really like rick’s representation of piper, and thats an issue. pocs have been and are still oppressed and discriminated against by many. as a white cis man, we cant really blame him for not knowing (tho he could have done a research,, asked some pocs,, idk), but by representing pocs in that manner, hes influencing impressionable kids/teens into thinking “oh pocs wear feathers in their hair all the time” etc, which isnt true. the pjo/hoo series is extremely successful, and kids who read the books will probably start forming inaccurate opinions on pocs. the amount of fan art that depicts piper with feathers in her hair dont help either. “but rick said so in the books, so its canon” yeah well rick isnt a god and he can get some things wrong at times. im not saying we should cancel him, im saying we should start educating ourselves and not spread false info like pocs wearing feathers in their hair all the time. also that snake song shit where she sang Summertime was just- yeah. bc heres the thing you can be racist, and still include minorities, but portray them in a racist way. And even then, ignorance isn't a thing to admire. Getting those facts wrong still has a major impact. It continues to perpetuate racist stereotypes.

- the fact that most of the strong female characters in the series refuse to be “girly”, and ngl i dont really like that. just because ure girly doesnt mean u cant be strong. 

- piper would have been a great way for him to start making the strong characters act girlier, but instead he went with the “I’m not like other girls” trope which is quite obnoxious to hear constantly, and I don’t think it’s necessarily great for younger girls to read that idea growing up.  the closest we've ever had to a strong female character who was also into "girly" things was Silena. when I was younger I admired Piper's "I'm not like other girls" thing, but then I got older and realized that the whole mentality of "not like other girls" is super obnoxious, and a little bit toxic

idk it’s clear from this that you’re not exactly looking at these two w a lot of nuance bc while yea duh they don’t exactly get along super fucking well, it is also like...a lot more complicated than that (and i mean that in a way that has literally nothing to do w them romantically or w/e). bc this is an anime invested in complex characterizations so it would be, i dont know, a little fucking weird if in the sea of layered interpersonal relationships in the show the one between the two main girls was just ‘they really super hate each other :(’.

oh katelyn! i was thinking about this earlier and i was wondering... do you have any other polyam ships/ot3s besides The ot3? if so i’d absolutely love to hear them and where they’re from!

oh sure of course! i think i had two main ones before i came across the ot3 (although i think there might be more, granted though i haven’t been polyshipping for long). the first one is the vintage ot3 kathy/don/cosmo from singing in the rain, i know they don’t have much screentime as a trio but i really love the screentime they do have together, i did end up rewatching “good morning” a lot haha. i think they have a lot of chemistry and work really great together as characters. also, found fanfic of it on ao3, a lot of it is really good and led me to shipping them even more, bc you get to see more of how well their personalities can work off each other.

the second one is ian/alan/ellie (dinot3 is the nickname) from the first jurassic park movie. ive gotta admit, there isn’t a whole lot to work with when it comes to them in the actual movie, in fact i only stumbled across this ship after putting “polyamory cute” or something in the tumblr search bar (because apparently that’s what you do when you start to think you might be polyamorous) and seeing a fanart of them and getting curious about it. then after seeing some more fanart/posts and reading a few fantastic pieces of fanfic (i’ll recommend them if ur interested) i realized how good of a ship it was. i didn’t know good romance could come out of three witty scientists dealing with dino trauma but apparently it can. 

also at one point i fantasized about a version of the new star wars trilogy where finn’s dating both rey and rose and then rey and rose end up becoming friends and eventually date each other (i know their characters haven’t really talked but nobody argue with me on this those girls would be the start of a friends-to-lovers slow burn within 5 seconds of bonding w/ each other) and then finn and poe have their own separate relationship and all four of them are just. friends yknow like all of them buddies and i still can’t believe we never got to see all four of them being friends in the movies. anyway i never really did anything with it bc i’m not that invested in star wars atm, maybe someday. i also like professor marston and the wonder women but u knew that hehe

i think i might have others but nothing else really comes to mind, sorry! i think i dont have many other poly ships bc ive had fbdo ot3 tunnel vision for the past several months lol, that might change though when i eventually watch other movies w/ practically canon poly rep like leverage or butch cassidy who knows! but yeah that’s all i have to say about this, sorry it took so long btw!!

i’m aware. sasori and deidara are both adults throughout the entirety of canon so i don’t agree with people who consider it an issue (obviously, bc.... if i felt it was a problem i wouldn’t be drawing the ship) but that being said i understand that there’s a significant age gap and if that makes people uncomfortable, that’s their right, and i don’t feel that they’re overreacting. people have different comfort levels and boundaries and if someone doesn’t want to interact w my work bc sasodei makes them uncomfortable there’s nothing unreasonable about that. i don’t agree with putting scare quotes around problematic as if it’s a ridiculous concept bc i myself have extremely hard lines in the sand about what content i will and won’t tolerate from others. if someone else’s boundaries are more sensitive than mine, that’s not something i’m willing to scoff at.

the reason i didn’t address the post when i became aware of it was because at the time that i saw it the person was already being harassed for it. for me to mention that person in any way would contribute to it and would be wildly irresponsible of me, and even slapping a “btw dont send them hate guys!!” on any post i made would be like unveiling a huge red button and going “nobody press this, okay.” i’ve seen it happen time and time again with literally anyone who has a following around the size of mine, and that’s also not something i’m willing to do.

Hello. Thanks for taking the time to read my tags. I can see this is in response to the whole “Not My Ariel” feud that was going on a few days ago and judging by this response, this seems like you’re attacking me though I’m not sure whether it’s b/c you think I’m for or against her not being white. So I’ll take the time to respond: I’m FOR Ariel being black. So let’s unpack this really ambiguous message.

First: I like writing in the tags b/c I don’t like bombarding my thoughts/musings on someone else’s post. I write it in the tags so people can either look through it or ignore it.

On to the important bits. When did I mention Tiana in the tags?? Also it wasn’t “technically” she really was a frog throughout the whole movie. I’d say she was human for about 20 min and the rest she was a frog. Now I’m somewhat familiar w/ the story of “The Frog Prince” but I do know it was written in 1812 by the Brothers Grimm who were German. If that’s what you mean by in the original story the characters were European white, well technically you’re correct. Grimm more than likely wrote that story w/ the intention that the characters were white and the story is set in Europe, but that’s as European as it’s gonna get. The main elements of the story is: witch turns prince into frog and frog suffers consequences until woman gives him true loves kiss. Are there any specific elements that indicate it HAS to be a German woman to kiss him? Does the witch tell him he HAS to be in a specific German location for the true loves kiss to activate? I’m asking these redundant German related questions b/c it doesn’t really pertain to the story does it? Which brings me to my next point

Identity. “The Princess and the Frog” Tiana is a young black girl living in 1920s New Orleans, with the majority of the population being black (I’m talking irl not just what Disney presented on film). I’ve only seen this movie once so what I briefly remember about the plot is a prince gets fucked over by a voodoo magician? And has to figure out a way to become human again but accidentally brings a girl along for the adventure and together they take down the voodoo man. So. Why should I even compare a Disney movie adaptation w/ the 200+ year old German fairytale in the first place? Context. Mainly, w/ Tiana’s identity.

All Tiana wants is to run her own restaurant but the only thing that’s stopping her is not having enough money. This can be blamed b/c of systemic racism, especially prominent in the era of Jim Crow (1870-1960). Of course, Disney isn’t going to unpack ALL OF THAT on a kids movie, but looking through the subtext, we can easily determine that no matter how dedicated she is, how many hours she works, how much money she saves, how amazing of a cook she is, she STILL doesn’t have her restaurant open, even if she is adored by the patrons in the cafe she works at. Meanwhile her white friend is living the high life w/ absolutely no worries and daddy can get her whatever she wants w/ out lifting a finger. Tiana works thrice as hard as anybody and she hasn’t even made a dent close enough to earn the type of money her friend flaunts, so what gives?

Then a miracle happens w/ frog prince Naveen and he convinces her if they kiss he will make her rich. She needed the leverage to make her dream come true and finally get the payoff she deserves for all the hard work she’s put in for so many years. Their kiss was just supposed to be a transaction, but then the whole “true loves kiss” story line happened and the rest is history. So would the story be different if Tiana was white?

Yes. Mainly, Tiana’s motivation for kissing Naveen would’ve been different. Now, I’m not saying there weren’t working class white people in 1920 who would’ve loved the hypothetical chance at easy cash just by kissing a frog. But it’s integral to the story, specifically in the context of a BLACK GIRL in 1920, the midst of separate but equal ideology. I’m positive that if a white girl worked the same waitress job as Tiana, she’d make a bit more money than her and work less hours/perform less demanding tasks b/c of her white privilege.

So do I find that Ariel being black is stupid? No. B/c once again, it’s all about context. The original fairytale was written in 1837 by Hans Christen Anderson, who was Danish. We can assume that he wrote it in the context of Danish human characters. But mermaids? Fictional and therefore have no race/nationality b/c that’s just a construct society automatically bestows onto anything that exists. So let’s just assume that Atlantis is a real place, what would a mermaid’s race be? Any of them. If we assume Atlantis is in the Atlantic Ocean, then it stretches across many of the continents on the hemisphere. So she could either be Danish or Algerian or Colombian. Therefore, it literally doesn’t matter what race a mermaid is! A MERMAID IS A FICTIONAL CHARACTER FROM A FICTIONAL PLACE WHERE RACIAL LABELS DONT APPLY TO THEM.

It sucks that it’s 2019 and people still go bat shit crazy about a black person playing a fictional character that was portrayed as white. I’ve seen many people say “but Ariel was memorable b/c of her red hair!” Y’all. Hair dye exists, and many actors have used it to change their natural color to fit whatever role. And tbh, she’s memorable b/c she’s a MERMAID. If you want a memorable redhead princess out there who’s human her name is Merida from Brave. She’s a badass archer who fought for her own hand in marriage b/c she wanted to keep being independent. Or Ana from Frozen, she saved her sister from going feral w/ the power of familial love and her strong spirit. But I get it. She’s a Classic Disney Princess and the nostalgia will be tarnished if she’s not “as close to the canon as possible.”

Also side note: when you said if I find Tiana changing her physical identity stupid I would find them changing Ariel stupid too, did you mean human form or racial form? B/c w/ Tiana, if she never changed into a frog, the movie would’ve ended fairly quickly. I mean maybe she could’ve still helped Naveen but again, what motivation would she have had since he lied to her in the beginning. Ariel physically changing to a human though? Literally the plot point of the story, you can’t change that for obvious reasons.

also if he was “crossdressing to avoid sexism” honestly i doubt his lab would’ve been as transition based as it was, with LITERAL explicit talk of medical bottom and top surgery. if this was the story they wanted to tell, they failed miserably cause if so they “borrowed” so many elements from trans people’s-specifically trans men’s- stories just to serve aesthetic purposes, but didnt realise the implications. which are clear. naoto shirogane is transmasculine, he doesnt identify as a woman but his friends are unaccepting and basically convinced him not to transition.

it was basically the story equivalent of one coming out as trans and all your friends who you thought u could trust ganging up on u saying "r u sure?" "r u sure?" "r u sure u just arent a sad girl?" and in the end you just give in, which is what naoto did if you see how unhappy and uncomfortable he is for the rest of the game. it's awful, and it’s basically the game’s way of saying “trans people aren’t real, they’re delusional”. they did the same to kanji, who is gay, but his friends forced him to swallow this and just “you just like girly things you arent gay!” and he just “...ok?” 

basically persona 4 handles lgbt characters worse than most games ive seen ever but it doesnt matter cuz naoto is a trans man and hes right there and kanji is a gay guy... like, whatever the game writes for them, those are the characters theyve written, imo. so i tend to... pluck them gently(along with rise... oh god my poor rise they handled her equally bad) from the franchise and let them have a nice day together also kanj and naoto are boyfriends. thanks for coming to my ted talk.

1. Oso and kara could be watching a movie and point at the ugly characters like “haha thats you!” and then get kicked out of the movies bc they dont shut up they just “NO thats YOU!” All the way through. The others try to pretend not to know them but unfortunately they all have the same face so they gone too.

2. A lot of ppl say that kara doesnt call oso “nii san” bc he lacks respect for him but tbh i just think he doesnt think its “cool” to call him “nii san” (he does calls him aniki at times) or maybe he’s p comfortable w oso so he doesnt rlly find a need to use honorifics for him. Probably also knows oso likes being called nii san and just does it out of spite dggdgdhd

3. Karamatsu introduces himself as the oldest one when oso’s not around. Oso comes in like “i am the oldest?? Born by 2 minutes 45 seconds and 87 milliseconds? before u?? Fake binch?” Oso probably doesnt keep track of like how long the other bros took to be born but has to always remember kara’s to rub it on his face. Kara is probably the whole “uh we’re sextuplets does it matter?” Only when it comes to osomatsu bc he likes still being older than the other ones. Fake ass ho

4. I feel when kara dragged oso out in ep 24 there wasn’t much of a fight. Just karamatsu holding him down telling him he was acting like an idiot and he should apologize. Like just yelling at him. Osomatsu probably doesnt say much, gets out of kara’s grip, gives him an angry look and walks in but just goes to their room instead and kara walks in like 🤷🏻‍♂️ and goes to check on jyushi. a lot of ppl like to speculate theres always like a huge fist fight or a bunch of yelling or oso crying onto kara abt choro leaving. But this is the way i’ve always seen it lol

5. Oso loves to pick on his little bros, kara isnt left out of this and kara absolutely hates it sgdhdhd like sure he’s getting attention but he shouldve been the oldest!!! Why is the oldest such a shit!!! Oso probably loves picking on kara the most bc hes all big talk but hes still his baby bro and he must be reminded

6. I love the bit in episode 10. The one where kara brings up his insecurities to oso and oso gives him some kind of advice. I feel like even though kara knows oso can be a shit boi he’s still his older brother and can confide on him the most/lean on him when he absolutely desperately needs advice. Kara probably doesnt want to bug his baby brothers, he probably sees himself as someone who should be there for them rather than the other way around so oso is all he’s got unfortunately agsgdgdh

7. I wanted to add that kara has no patience for oso and will call him out on his shit/hit him if necessary but this is already canon dgdhdb

8. I like the hc that they both sleep next to totty bc they want to protect baby bro. Theyre both incredibly over protective of jyushi and totty because theyre the babies of the 6 of them. A lot of ppl like to hc that totty set it up that way but like i wanna say both oso and kara wanted totty to sleep next to them to watch him and were arguing over it and in the end totty was like “JEEZ FINE OK I’LL SLEEP BETWEEN YOU BOTH SO YOU BOTH CAN WATCH OVER ME CAN WE GO TO SLEEP ALREADY?”

9. Granted when they meet atsushi when tottys dating him, all the bros are probably like 👀 but probably oso and kara are like his top 2 bodyguards. Up until sushi mentions his income and oso’s like “TOTTY U GOTTA MARRY HIM” while kara’s like “U CANT GIVE IN THAT EASILY OSOMATSU!!” Eventually they come to see atsushis a nice dude and like. Totty already always knows when they’re spying on them so they just let them be lmao

10. When it comes to karamatsu starting to date chibita, osomatsu is always teasing him. In kun, oso accidentally kissed chibita so i feel like osomatsu brings that up a lot sggshd. Chibita will gladly help karamatsu get oso to shut up dgshsh.

11. This doesnt have to do w anything but i just hc that theyre the most competitive when they’re against each other.

12. Also that they’re probably the best dancers out of the six (not saying that theyre good dancers just happen to dance better than the younger bros lol)

13. Also just. Every single one of their interactions are just roasting each other. But if oso knows his little bro is in a bad mood he will be there for him. He wont push him to talk bc he knows how karamatsu is but he assures him if he needs anything he knows where to find him all at the small price of a beer and oden at chibita’s. (Its a joke but he still wants him to know he’s there for him lol)
