You and Otoya had a good thing going. An easy arrangement. The type with plenty of sexual tension and absolutely no strings attached. There was a harmony between you two, smooth and mellow, but still exciting enough to keep his attention and satisfying enough to keep yours.

In other words, the ideal coupling for consistent, low maintenance fucking.

If someone were to ask Otoya, he’d say you were just having fun. If they were to ask you, you’d say the dick was good. And if they were to ask your friends they’d probably laugh or roll their eyes, and say that you were perfect for each other.

Sex is what the two of you had in common. A mutual disdain for relationships, and sex. But somewhere along the way, the sex began to change.

Firstly super dooper spoiler warning cause this is all spawned from something posted by the social media team and is extra content from next ep and I assume some people don’t wanna see that if they haven’t already.

So like I had said everything I felt I needed to say about but then the Gquuuuuux Twitter account posted this picture and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it because Char discarding his new identity (that honestly I can’t remember the name of because I keep thinking of him as char) to return to Char for the last two episodes is massive. And I need to rant about it and what it means for our three main characters.

Also if you don’t wanna read my ramble the TLDWR: char dressing up as char means red gundam’s back in action which means Nyaan and Machu’ll have to team up and Char’ll know where Shuji is.

So Char’s pretty consistently shown to use his fake identities for different reasons and have different motivations attached to them, so which identity he’s using makes it pretty clear what his current motivations are. Eg. Char aznable is revenge, first on the zabi’s in MSG then the earth and Amuro in CCA, Quattro is Char trying to better himself and make a better world for both the spacenoids and earthians, almost the idealist Char so to speak which is why when he’s returning to the path of vengeance he discards Quattro and returns to Char (albeit part of that is the whole using the char identity to muster the remnants of Zeon and neo-Zeon but the point still stands from a writing perspective if not an in-universe one). So the fact that char isn’t continuing to use his new identity and is instead returning to char is important especially because I think it not only gives some idea to where Shuji is but combined with some of the scenes from the preview this week makes certain endings more likely for the NyaChu fight as well as showcase that Char wants some publicity to whatever he’s doing.

So firstly and probably the more head scratcher one is how Char gives an idea of where Shuji is. So considering that Char is embracing Char again it’s also easy to assume that he has the red Gundam. Now this is based off of a few things, A. Char working on the yomagn’tho means he has a level of familiarity with creating technology to instigate Zeknovas at range and considering the size difference between the firing of yomagn’tho, Char’s original zeknova and the red Gundam doing it on side 6 it’s not impossible that rather than enabling zeknovas the alt elmeth and Lalah instead enable the size and destruction seen from yomagn’tho rather than the phenomena itself. So Shuji’s reaction to the red Gundam as it begins its zeknova could be indicative of the fact that Char had caused the zeknova to bring the red Gundam and Shuji to him.

The reason Char would want the red Gundam is twofold, first by appearing as Char with the red Gundam it acts as a proof of identity, as I doubt anyone outside of the people on Sodon, Kycilia and some citizens of side 6 would know that the red Gundam was there, so Char reappearing with it would for most people be the first time since the OYW ended and leave little to no doubt that it is indeed the red comet returned. Secondly I believe that Char being Char he would never trust someone else to fire the yomagn’tho in a way he’d like he would have a backdoor to use it, and based on how the GFred was needed to fire it Char would also need a mobile suit. Now yes theoretically he could just try to steal the GFred but A. It was under Kycilia’s watch and B it doesn’t match the theming of Char which Char appears to be returning to meaning it’s likely char has the rx78 and has modified it to work as a trigger.

And this is also where in part the preview of ep11 comes in as in the preview the only thing Nyaan appears to be using to fight with is the bits from the GFred and based off how the gquuuuuux doesn’t have any that we’ve seen the inclusion of bits in the GFred has to be because of the GFred’s purpose as the trigger for yogman’tho. Which I believe means they’re intended as semi-autonomous defence for the GFred when firing the yogman’tho. So Char would want the red Gundam with all it’s bits that I assume he rebuilt alongside modifying the red Gundam not only to fulfill the wartime image of the red comet but to protect him when firing yogman’tho. And we know that Nyaan in the process of fighting Machu (although I do have to also note here because it doesn’t really fit elsewhere that Nyaan is to an extent struggling against Machu without the gquuuuuux entering its new mode and because from what the show’s shown, by all accounts Nyaan is a better pilot that Machu when she doesn’t have the Kira Kira, so she isn’t trying to kill her in her fight next ep and is instead just trying to keep her from stopping her, further evidence to this is her not immediately melting her with the bits and how much more forgiving they seem to be.) disconnects from yomagn’tho leaving it open for Char to jump in and use it, protecting himself of course with the red gundam’s many bits as he does.

So I believe that at least half of the next two episodes will actually be Nyaan and Machu teaming up to beat char and stop him from using yogman’tho to destroy Kycilia and possibly earth as well. The reason I think it’s a team up that’s coming and not just Machu or Nyaan winning and then fighting char is that in ep 7 it’s directly commented that Challia with the kikeroga is capable of single-handedly operating as a MAV team. And considering Char is Char, it’s likely he too is operating on that level so it would require Nyaan and Machu working together to stop him and the red gundam.

And as to where Shuji comes in either the space ghost we saw a hint of will confirm him as dead, char will confess to killing him or Char will say he did something else to him, not only taking away Nyaan’s reason to fire the yomagn’tho but also give her and Machu a new purpose in trying to find their friend.

Also like on a very basic level not only does Char need a mobile suit for the finale cause he doesn’t have a personal connection with anyone in the climax room to warrant a personal fight but also they wouldn’t just leave the RX-78 in limbo no matter what colour it’s been painted.

TLDR: char dressing up as char means red gundam’s back in action which means Nyaan and Machu’ll have to team up and Char’ll know where Shuji is.

tbh sometimes giving people younger than me the space and freedom to explore the world for themselves instead of like. yoinking their phone out of their hands and making them a tumblr acct with a specialized cocktail blend of blogs i formulate for their own specific starter dashboard. is just so hard.

like yes i value you learning to formulate your own opinions after spending way too much of your life trying to parse discourse on both sides instead of just feeding you my own thoughts n opinions but also i want you to understand gender essentialism right now. i want you to understand that sometimes boundaries are put in place not for YOUR safety, but for the comfort of the people running the show. i want you to understand that it's normal to be wrong sometimes. i want you to understand that maintaining privacy online is important even if you don't care it matters now. i want you to understand that fiction is not real life, and that disgust is not a viable moral compass. i want you to know what a dogwhistle is so that you can start listening for them. i want you to understand that girls can kiss other girls too, like in real life.

and i'm sure if you muck around on the internet long enough, you might end up exactly where i am today. but i'm sure we could also just cut to the chase and get you started on the right path For Sure if i just picked you up and plopped you down on it myself.
