I know bark is a hooligan and there for kinda a bad guy but . I simply want to pet his face and give him a large hug.
He seems shy though so I'd probably have to ask and give him like 3-5 business days to process that information. But my statement stands.
*Bark is currently holding a net in place with Bean's help. He looks up at your offer. Glances at Bean, who's laughing at him under his breath. Glares at Bean. Then looks back at you and shrugs as if to say "sure." He sets the net down briefly while you hug him. He hesitates, glancing at Bean again as he puts slow, surprisingly gentle arms around you in return. He's very soft and warm. You start petting his face and he flinches at first, not sure what's happening, then relaxes as he realizes it's safe. The tension melts away from his features as you pet the fur between his eyes up to his forehead. He sighs. How nice. He sets you down and ruffles your hair as if to return the favor in his awkward, shy way before he picks up the net again*
*Bean was mocking him at first, but that... Looked very relaxing. Now he's jealous. He raises a hand* I want that!! Can I have a hug and whatever that was? Headpats?

When did Warriors become a romance series. WHEN. Like yeah it's always had romance elements but every other fucking arc now centers around a """forbidden""" cross clan romance. It's so commonplace now it shouldn't be considered taboo!!! I don't WANT bad romance plots in my battle cats books!!! The Erins could at LEAST do something ACTUALLY interesting and write a canon queer ship. But they're too incompetent to explore queerphobia in any meaningful way 😒 ~ @outof-theshadows

Don’t Wait Too Long
In just a flash, the house I knew so well, so full of life and light- was abandoned, withered, dark. The vision that just seconds prior had provided so much security was a fleeting memory, now gone. I didn’t have time to question, or look around at the haunted remains. A guttural sense of insidiousness, and overwhelming terror set in.
I shouldn’t be here anymore.
I sprinted to the door. I yanked it open and stumbled out onto the stoop, only to be thrown back in amazement. My gaze widened to take in the scene in front of me. Sheets of rain blowing by obscured my vision, cold drops slapping my face. The sky is nearly black. Not 100 feet in front of me is a river, raging through the woods. A pier extended from the stoop where I stood to the river, littered with debris from this storm. Mist thrown from the banks showered piles of the washed up logs and pieces of the dilapidated house, most likely. The pier ended at an old steel drawbridge, equally dilapidated. The nearly flooding river seemed to flow right through it. The roar of the water and crashing sounds of waves breaking on the side of the bridge and on the banks almost drowned out the cracking thunder.
~
The house was so alive before. Pulsing with a blithe type of chaos.
“Has anyone seen my dress?”, I yelled, emerging from my room into the hall.
The chatter of all the girls filled the house like music as everyone prepared for the function. I flitted from room to room, scanning for my dress, zigzagging my way down the hall. There were so many girls and so many rooms it could’ve been mistaken for a sorority house. Three main corridors were connected by the catwalk which looked out onto the living room. Random halls branched from each corridor, intersecting in unassuming corners. Every room was built differently; some connected. It was a maze, really. But I knew it so well. My room was conveniently located in the last corridor on the catwalk. The first room on the right in the first hall on the right.
I ran back up the hall and out onto the catwalk, swinging around the bannister to launch myself into the adjacent corridor.
Light seemed to fill every room of the house, but it was especially bright here, and warm. The afternoon sun shone directly on the catwalk from the massive window above the living room.
My eyes barely had time to adjust before an empty room halfway down the hall caught my eye. I stopped. There it was on the second bed on the right. My power blue sundress was hard to miss against the pale gray, coastal decor. I scooped it up and ran back to my corner corridor, now rushing to get ready. Always rushing.
~
A gust of rain struck urgency in me once again and I broke out toward the bridge. I needed to get out. The wind whipped around me as I sprang down the pier, navigating through the debris. I reached the end of the pier, this time not hesitating before running onto the bridge. Maybe I should’ve. The bottom of the bridge was a metal grate, the only thing between me and the river. Waves rippled up through it. Already I was soaked from every angle. Fallen steel beams obstructed the path, some beams still hanging from the trusses. I crouched under one beam, climbed between two more, and squeezed around a pile I couldn’t get through. The wreckage seemed to get more çluttered and more dense the further I went. The bridge groaned and the thunder cracked. The deluge from the waves breaking on the bridge was so constant I couldn’t tell the difference between it and the pouring rain, except when the force of the water pushed me into a beam, knocking the wind out of me. I leaned in shock on the diagonal beam, choking for air for only a moment when another for only, only to be struck by another wave. I could barely see. The pain of the cold water hitting me all over was piercing. Torment. I was drowning.
I climbed deeper into the mess of beams to shield myself from the rapids. I reached a pile of beams so tremendous I had to stop. My eyes darted around the pile trying to find the best way through. I spotted an opening at the bottom of the pile near the side of the bridge. I squatted and began flattening myself to crawl through but I only saw a more complicated pile on the other side. Water erupted through the grate repeatedly. If it rose while or a wave hit while I tried to get through, I could be trapped. I stood back up and reanalyzed the hole, then the entire pile. I staggered backwards, realizing the futility of the situation. Fuck. I wasn’t going to make it. I reluctantly turned away, my gaze still locked on the pile blocking my exit. I never actually stopped moving.
But I couldn’t stay here.
I finally faced away and began back towards the house. I slithered back through the beams with a sort of grace this time, determined to escape the incessant beating of the water. I sprinted back across the pier, hurdling any wood pilings in my path. I reached the stoop, ramming my body into the door from the momentum. My wet hands fumbled for the doorknob pressed between my body and the door. Somehow I got it open, falling onto the base of the staircase. I wearily þushed myself up on all fours and threw the door closed before tripping up the stairs. Still fueled with terror and a looming feeling of unwelcomeness, but old habits die hard. As I sprinted up the stairs, I looked up to the end of the catwalk, to my corner that I knew so well, hoping I could find solace there. All the doors of the corridors were shut. My corner was dark, darker than the rest of the house, but in my haste, I didn’t think too much of it. I reached the landing and swung the banister intuitively, launching myself down the catwalk towards my corridor. Running for my life now. This time I did notice the shadow. It grew smaller as I approached my corridor, and darker. Still running, I reached out for the doorknob. But the shadow showed its white eyes and leapt out at me.
A shallow gasp - incredulous, betrayed, ripped from the air as if to take one last thing from this place - echoed all around me as I jumped backward into the banister. In its worn state, it crumbled. I fell over the catwalk; the shadow with me.
I fell,
and fell,
and fell into darkness.
As I fell I could only ponder when I had gone wrong.

Drew my Sona giving Bark his well deserved hug.

Went for a very simple style cause it felt fitting. Idk if the hooligans have a fridge but if they do maybe they can hang it on there (/jk)
*Bark is swinging a net around trying to catch Rouge. He stops when you show him the drawing. He takes it and smiles, looking closely at it for a long moment. His smile widens as he ruffles your hair in thanks*
Awww~ What a beautiful drawing~ *Rouge is leaning over his shoulder*
*Bark swipes at her but she dodges, laughing hautily. He huffs and looks back at the drawing, smiling to himself. He very carefully rolls it up and puts it in his hair to take with him*
