Really Usagi just wants cuddles and kisses and gentle touch. I really like that Love is Better the Second Time Around uses the same clothing because the same outfits keep popping up in the same combos like how we got these outfits together again.

When we got them in the first episode during their first argument about Takashi coming across as being disingenuous about his feelings since he is so casual about them.

But, of course, I also like the colors.

Because even though it's not the pink room of love,

Hiro is wearing the same outfit and the color red is prominent as he declines Takashi's offer to move in together which is similar to his girlfriend's rejection of his proposal.

So it's just interesting that even though they keep attempting to balance out their colors,

They are stuck between the light and the dark.

Or more like their past and their future.

Give me balance!

Wolfstar!daughters first period wouldn’t be a super big deal. Remus and Sirius handle that talk very maturely because they know what they signed up for when they brought a little girl home. She’s very comfortable with them in that aspect. She knows she can ask for anything she needs and they won’t make her feel ashamed because there’s nothing wrong with what’s happening. It’s natural.

The finale of Love is Better the Second Time Around kinda gave me what I wanted out of this light and dark color-coded pair.

I wanted balance from them, and the episode started their scenes with some connection happening.

But Hiro was still lighter.

He got a smidge darker when he went looking for Takashi.

But when he faced Takashi, he was still lighter.

Until he sat down in front of Takashi's mother and declared that he was planning to stay by Takashi's side no matter what!

Hiro will be lighter than Takashi, but at least in that moment, they found enough balance to reunite and move forward together (and Hiro found enough strength to declare he loved Takashi!)

So even though it's not the specific balance I needed,

It's very much in line with how they balance themselves out with browns and grays.

Because they started strictly standing in black and white, and although it's not the pink room of love.

They are much more balanced, and they still gave me the blinding light of love.

I'll take it!

If you have achieved something, please remember to observe a mandatory period of basking in the warm glow of your achievement like a lizard on a stone, lest you teach your brain that effort is futile, actually, because it didn't get to enjoy its happy chemicals, so, naturally, nothing good ever comes of trying. I recommend, like, 5% of basking time in relation to whatever time you invested into achieving the thing minimum. And if you can't make your own bask, friend-brought is fine (= tell your friends!).

y’all just— thinking about how excited Stanley must have been to host the twins— Alex says he smokes cigars but he doesn’t smoke once in the show— has a beer gut but he only drinks sodas in front of the kids— doesn’t swear when they’re around which must have taken INCREDIBLE effort— Stanley Pines, known crook, buying pancake mix at the supermarket and many bottles of syrup— learning to cook basic healthy meals and burning so many of them before he gets it right— buying new sheets, new mattresses— avoiding bunk beds because it reminds him of Ford— looking at the attic room he made wondering “is this enough will they like me”— trying to act aloof at the bus stop so he doesn’t betray the fact that he was there hours early— watching them goof around and thinking of New Jersey beaches— then the first night they’re there, he watches them debate running away and only stay because Mabel shook a magic 8 ball. That must have kept him awake all night.

the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.
