soulmate horror is one of my signature concepts in my fiction. hey how do you feel about having a connection to another person which you can neither choose nor reject. how would it be to not know whether your feelings are your own. to know that you cannot ever be allowed to decide for yourself what you want, because it's been cosmically ordained. would that suck? i think that would suck

The 30′s episodes in c2: In our mutual acknowledgment that we’ve been going about things in ways that are A Bit Fucked Up, with much deliberation, and on the condition you still Do Not Ask abt my personal history, I’ve decided to trust you to hold me accountable in an attempt to do better moving forward. Maybe you’ll allow me to do the same? Oh and btw we still think you’re SUPER cagey - could you stop making blood pacts maybe? :/
The 30′s episodes in c3: We’ve only known each other for less than a couple months but we’re family and you all know me better than I know myself. We would and have died to keep each other safe, and those left that *haven’t* died would go through literal hell to return those that did to life. A couple of you have outright tried to kill the rest of us but honestly nbd! we all have bad days :)

Love how Skinner is in on the delusion of their relationship. Like when either one of them come to him asking for help to save the other he does that stare deeply in their face thing for just a little too long, like he knows exactly what they’re asking and why they’re asking it. He's like are they in love? YES! Are they together? NO! Are they married? YES.

Some of the things people say about Akane make me wonder if there's an alternative version of the manga out there somewhere.
Akane doesn't want what's best for Aqua, she's just an enabler—
All Akane has wanted to do all along is help Aqua the same way he helped her. When Aqua told her that his goal was to kill someone, Akane said she would help because she realized that the best way to support Aqua was to share his burden with him, so he won't feel all alone anymore.
(Spoilers for the most recent chapters under the cut!)
Just like Akane herself said, it has nothing to do with right or wrong. It's all about being by Aqua's side and carrying that burden with him, so that he won't have to endure the pain alone.
For Akane, saying I'll help you kill him meant You're not alone. No matter what happens, I'll accept you as you are (just like you were there for me). Still, later we're clearly shown that if it's up to her, she wouldn't want Aqua to get his hands dirty.
When Akane realizes that Aqua is actually lying to himself and that what he actually wants is to be free from his revenge, she switches gears.
Instead of carrying the burden with him, she decides to carry it for him. Because she wants the best for Aqua, for him to be happy and free.
This is true even now. When Aqua realizes Akane's intentions and tries to cut her off to protect her, her worst fears come true. Aqua is just about to let himself be consumed by his revenge, essentially throwing his life away.
So since she couldn't save him by being by his side, Akane decides to save him from himself by standing in his way.
That is her way of sharing his burden.
She's just an enabler—
Akane made him worse—
Aqua's self-destructive tendencies don't worsen after Akane becomes his ally. At the contrary, he finds solace in having someone who accepts him as he is.
Aqua worsens only after he finds out that his father is still alive. Akane had nothing to do with that, at the contrary, she was actively protecting him from that truth.
She's co-dependant on him—
She's a push-over that—
Akane was willing to let Aqua go to hell—
Akane didn't want Aqua to suffer, she didn't want him to go to hell. That is the entire reason why she was ready to go face Kamiki on her own.
But if Aqua chose to go there, if he were to chose that devoting himself to his revenge is what he needs to achieve piece of mind, then she would respect his choice and follow him to hell.
Just to make sure he doesn't have to suffer through it alone.

Why have we agreed that Harrow is into Ianthe? Is this just because half (more like 75%) of the fandom is thrusting after Ianthe?
My interpretation is that Harrow definitely finds her aesthetically beautiful (because she looks half dead and that's Harrow's type), but she does so "not completely willingly" and she is uncomfortable in her company and with her advances (now admittedly part of this is grief and repression but still). She also doesn't trust her or enjoy being around her, she just kinda... Doesn't have a choice.
Like, as someone who is demi, (which imo so is Harrow), I understand objectively what's supposed to be attractive to Ianthe but I find her personality far too repulsive to actually be attracted to her (not that I would say I'm attracted to any other tlt character, but hypothetically.) ((sorry ianthe stans she's the wrong kind of bad gay to me.))
And i think Harrow would be far too aware that Ianthe is a manipulative bitch to develop anything for her beyond an aesthetic appreciation at best and unhealthy dependency at worst.

i don't know guys the thing that i really enjoy about leo and donnie is how remarkably utterly out of sync they are with one another. like there's something kind of beautiful about it to me. i like that they tune each other out so thoroughly that any given conversation between them is just a series of complete non-sequitors. both of them are constantly thinking "holy shit my sibling is such a weird idiot. does (s)he ever shut up. thank god I'm normal and rational enough for the both of us" and meanwhile to an outside observer they both sound like actual aliens attempting to roleplay human interaction because instead of listening to whatever bullshit the other one was saying they were both just waiting for their turn to talk. they each only understand like 5% of what comes out of the other one's mouth, tops, and they only care about 1% of that
^ every conversation is like this for both of them except they're sitting at completely separate tables with their backs to one another

What's your opinion on Ashley and Andrew having babies? I don't think Ashley would want kids at first, or see them as just a way to keep Andrew happy, but I think Andrew would go into heat wanting to get Ashley pregnant as soon as he realized it'd irrevocably connect her to him even further and she'd have a constant reminder of who she belongs to
I think they have twins one girl one boy with pink green heterochromia and also I think we have very different outlooks on Andrew lol
I don't think Ashley would want kids in the sense that she has some sort of maternal instinct but I see Ashley as a pretty not calculating perse person but a person who tries to think a lot
At the end her impulsivity wins but she does try to think first
And I see her just constantly thinking about ways to ensure her own survival Andrew is the only social circle she has any access to without him she's done for, so she can either sacrifice never having any sex with anybody at all if Andrew doesn't want to be with her
(Which I totally believe she wants him to choose to be with her, it would be a tactical sacrifice not to)
But if he does want to, then the pregnancy is a really good way to ensure he stays with her.
A really good way to ensure either his love, or that he's guilty and "Bad" enough to not be able to leave her.
Andrew on the other hand, I don't think he would want the kids at all, and I don't think he would ever fully truly connect with them at all.
He loves her, so he will stand the kids, but he doesn't need any sort of proof, or irrevocable binding towards her, because Ashley is already choosing to stay with him at all times. Being there is what she wants.
Plus, he definitely wouldn't want the kids simply because they would be a liability on their freedom.
But he would think it's really hot to dom the hell out of his bratty little sister and put her in her place make sure she never thinks about getting pregnant from anybody else Not like Ashley ever thinks about that either way
