made onigiri today and DIDNT TAKE ANY PICTURES !!! AGHHHH-*bite bite bite bite bite bite* <- sounds of me eating said onigiri btw hahaha

10/10 deffo recommend :D!! not overly expensive if you wanna try em. (ngl im writing this down here bc i ran out of storage space on drive and wanna put this somewhere online hahahaha)

Onigiri recipe ?? 🍙

FILLING:

can of tuna, i used the oil kind, i think theres water one as well??

mayo (main ingredient asides from the tuna)

honey mustard (didnt add too much of this, can maybe be skipped)

salt and pepper to taste (rice has no salt, hence the slightly salty filling)

some sort of spicy condiment if ya want (im a loser and dont do spicy fjdhfsd)

got a can of tuna, drained out the oil, added mayo till it stopped tasting "dry", added just a tiny bit of mustard, then some salt and pepper, filling should have decent amount of mayo but not overpower the tuna, and ever so slightly salty to compensate for lack of salt in rice

RICE

cup of sushi rice (short grain/ sticky rice yk? ) <- rinse a couple times till water runs clearer!!

cup of water (its a 50/50 rice to water ratio here, if you wanna make more add more of both!)

non edible things:

thick bottom pot with a well fitting lid

some sort of cloth

heavy bowl

wooden spoon (ig normal works too tho)

wash and drain rice a couple times (gotta remove the starch!!!). add equal parts of water and rice to a medium sized pot and turn flame on high till it starts to boil, stir occasionally (<- prevents sticking) <- no lid yet

shut off stove once it boils, wrap lid in kitchen cloth, close up the pot and place bowl over lid to add weight and prevent cloth from sliping down. (do not open back up to check on the rice!!!! we´re doing steam cooking here!!!!)

turn stove back on at lowest possible setting for 10 minutes. by the 10 minute mark DO NOT OPEN IT!!!! shut off the flame and let it steam for 10 more. once it´s done open it up and fluff it up so it releases excess steam (prevents mushiness :3)

I cannot help you on the onigiri making process hahaha, but i will say:

rice wont stick to wet hands!!

try not to overdo it with the filling. i found that spreading out a (not overly thin!!!) layer of rice on my hand, placing a bit of the filling at the center then folding the walls in towards it was the easiest way to go. if the walls arent enough to close up the ball bust grab a tiny bit more rice and patch it up 👍

scoop the filling up w the spoon and try not to get it in your hands, you need those for the rice xd

bonus: once the onigiri are fromed you can sprinkle some sesame seeds on em and set them on a pan w the tiniest bit of oil to crisp them up, rlly helps the flavour :D!!

BIOGRAPHY

FAMILY HISTORY

kylie castillo is 2nd generation American, meaning that both pair of her grandparents immigrated to the United States a looong time ago from Mexico, and both her parents grew up in the USA. 

Her dad, alejandro castillo grew up in Los Angelos, California working to be a big time soccer player, and he got scouted but he ended up playing for MEXICO, and when he wasn’t playing for the official team, he played for Barcelona FC. So her dad made a name for himself in soccer. 

Her mom, lupe castillo molina grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She went to school and started up her own fashion brand, it was small and slowly growing as she was working as a seamstress for different companies all over Chicago. It took awhile to take off, but it did, and she had a shop in Spain bc she was illegal in the US and it was easier to stay in Spain and gain citizenship. ANYWAY, her shop blew up in Europe before getting big in the US. 

Both met in Barcelona where lupe was just a fan. it suddenly became more after they got pregnant, and after they married with their first child they decided to settle in Chicago. 

They were together until Kylie was 12 years old and her mom started seeing angelo altera, eventually marrying him for a few years. This means that she’s step siblings with lennon james and elissa altera! 

That marriage didn’t last that long, so right now both her parents are single, separated and living in different households that share the same customs. EXCEPT, kylie’s mom and dad seem to be sorta reconciling~

lupe castillo currently lives in New York for her step kids and kids while alejandro castillo still resides in Chicago, and sometimes Los Angelos. 

WHO IS KYLIE CASTILLO?

kylie was born in Chicago and she had a pretty normal childhood. she grew up in a house with her parents, siblings and grandparents under one household, growing up with hispanic traditions. She grew up speaking latin american spanish meaning she’s bilingual and is 100% PROUD of her ethnicity even though she has been told the typical slurs from ignorant people, but you know, it happens. it’s really only made her stronger as a person.

kylie has always been the closest to her dad and he implemented not just in kylie but in all of his kids that if you work hard you can achieve anything. to not let anyone tell you that you can’t do things. this was especially true with sports. ofc having a soccer player for a dad, kylie was automatically interested in soccer, all of her siblings were and are. they were known as the sports family on the block.

while her dad taught her sports and to toughen up in any situation, by no means does this mean she was a tomboy. she can play a game of soccer in 6 inch heels. if you don’t think so, she’ll prove it to you! So while her soccer interest grew, her mom would introduce kylie to clothes, makeup, cooking. all of that stuff so kylie always knew to be presentable. ‘let them judge you by what you wear so you can prove them wrong with who you are.’ is one of a thousand quotes her mom would tell her about life.

even if kylie grew up comfortable and in a good position, her parents instilled the value that you gotta work hard to get what you want. if you don’t implement blood, sweat and tears, you haven’t earned it. So if you know kylie, she’s a partier mixed with a workaholic sometimes mixed with a UFC Fighter dEKJGDKJFSGH

When her parents broke up, she went on a rebellious streak, more of a streak than the one she’s always on. she had family that weren’t the safest but for kylie it was safe. so she got involved with some shady characters, and she’s done some stufffffffffff. hmu if you wanna know more. FKJGHDFKHGJ that went on for awhile, she was wildin and she settled into her new home with her step siblings and step dad. 

Kylie is still very much closer to her dad than her mom but she loves them both, bouncing between houses and states (since her mom lives in NYC now) to hang out with each of them often. 

In a grand total, she’s a problem child that just likes to have fun. 

CAREER

There was at one point where she wanted to be a soccer player like her dad but for a women’s team. although there were times growing up where she would definitely show guys she could kick their asses in the sport. she still can! 

When her dad found out what she wanted, he made sure and he worked with her everyday to make her a better player, EXCEPT, kylie overworks herself, A LOT, even when her dad didn’t schedule practices. it didn’t work out for her in the end because during a game she really messed up her knee where she had to give up the sport.

She was DEVASTATED, and she moped for about a day before she found something else, which was makeup. She actually rlly slowly got into it, watching tutorials, practicing on her lita’s, siblings, tia’s, mom, etc. By networking through her mom’s connections, she landed a couple of gigs to do makeup for a couple of backstage things and movie productions. she was getting around to a lot of stuff.

For awhile she was an MUA, and works with a lot of different people. she doesn’t care who you are as long as you’re chill, but then she wanted to try something different and went into music. She is step siblings to lennon james, and there is a lot of musical influence in her life, so of course she was going to dip into that. 

Her style of music is primarily in spanish, targeting that market and since it’s being big in the US, she’s definitely one of the prominent artists since she’s one of the few born in America that makes this type of music. So currently she’s working out stuff with music, working on collaborations, and then doing things in other fields.

Kylie doesn’t believe in limiting herself, if she wants to do something, she’ll do it. She also very much loves to work with charities and going to marches for things she believes in, using her platform for things like that ... even if she isn’t the best person to look up to. 

PERSONALITY

kylie is literally F I E R C E. she’s got two types of personalities, one where she’s a home body and loves her family, will beat you in a quick game of soccer. she’s that bubbly girl with the laughter, sarcastic remarks followed by a smirk at the end of it

BUT

she is also that girl that when it’s time to work, she is scary. she knows what she wants, she knows how she wants it and she will get flustered when it’s not like that. she’s got a whole ‘that BIIITCH’ personality, like when she’s on the red carpet, she just has it going for her kind of thing.

but she’s a goof, and that’s something everyone will notice. she loves to make people laugh and smile. 

if you’re an asshole, those are her favorite types where she’s just drawn to those people. she really does love a challenge. 

A big thing for her is she is really hot tempered. talk shit get hit, is kinda her thing. if you wanna start an argument, don’t expect to come out of it without a scratch on you when you’re with kylie. she just has that mentality that if you don’t wanna talk it out she already has her hands up to start swinging.

- Cole never really opened up to anyone before Jay came along

He’s really stubborn and closed off

After Jay, though, he’s slowly began to open up to the possibilities

- Jay actually follows the rules to some extent, so he isn’t as majorly wanted as Cole is. He often likes to pulls thefts in private without leaving any evidence behind. Unlike Cole.

- Thus, Jay’s taught Cole to follow the rules a bit. They both still love to break the rules whenever they get the chance, especially Cole.

- Jay’s also taught Cole to loosen up and be a little more friendly and inviting.

Sometimes they’ll play some of Jay’s board games. Cole will win like 3 out of 4 times and brag about it.

- At first, he thought he was only flirting a lot with Jay bc that was just how he normally behaved, but then he realized he actually wanted Jay to like him

- It took him a while to get used to his feelings bc 1) he had never fallen in love before and 2) he didn’t want to fall in love

He actually spent an hour locked in his room after the bar trying to figure out if his feelings were real

- While Cole was busy dealing with his complicated teenage feelings (as Jay liked to call it), he was blabbering on about Cole to Pixal.

“I think he was staring at me. Like, impressed with me.”

“I think I impressed Cole! Maybe I wooed him. Haha.”

“Oh my god, did I impress Cole? Does he like me?”

“I was kinda hoping for him to get high.” (cough)

- Every time Cole made any contact with Jay, physical or eye contact, Jay’s muscles would lock up and his cheeks would glow pink, hiding his freckles. Also, Jay stutters.

The first time, Cole found it precious and wanted to see it again

Jay found it terrifying bc for starters, he would always stutter afterwords. And he wanted to be leaving a good impression around Cole. Not die of embarrassment.

- One time Cole actually DID talk to Jay a lil about his sudden feelings for the space pirate. But he was very vague about it, possibly lied about his crush as well, making Jay think otherwise. *cue A Guy That I’d Kinda Be Into*

- The first time they kissed, it was Cole who initiated it. And he liked it a lot so he did it again.

@i-am-the-bluejay this is actually [loosely] based on that post you mentioned me in bc i rlly liked it so thank you ok i mean it’s canon now oKAy: okay so they pulled this heist together right. and the two of them are running. also it’s raining (yeah u better believe it). Cole’s the one that pulls Jay into the alley way. They’re both laughing like crazy. Jay more bc he can’t believe the two of them almost got caught. Meanwhile, Cole’s only trying to get the two of them to quite down but it isn’t working since they just keep laughing. Cole’s laughter slowly starts to fade though as he focuses on Jay, the world having stopped, time feeling as if it slowed down, and all other sounds becoming just echoes as he focuses on Jay and Jay alone. (i wanna draw a little something about this now??)

“Wait. Stop laughing for a minute.”

“Haha… what?” (confused)

“… I think I’m in love with someone.” (sounds regretful)

“Wow, must be a real special guy if he or she can get Cole Brookstone to fall in love with them, amiright?” (slightly envious here. especially after Cole shared his feelings with Jay previously. tone has a hint of jealously too.)

“Yeah… can I try something?”

“Um, yeah, I gue-”

bOOM. SMOOCh.

Then round two obviously. Pixal got annoyed bc they wouldn’t answer her calls.

LMAAAOOO HOMIES YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE so basically my family and i went out for dinner at this rlly cool korean restaurant to celebrate my birthday (which is tomorrow), and i was slathering this sauce over my rice right? i thought it was just normal teriyaki sauce and you know i can’t live without the sauce. so im eating my rice and sauce and suddenly i taste the very familiar earthy flavor or peanuts.

 and guess who’s dumbass has a mild peanut allergy

so im like tryna stay chill cuz i don’t wanna cause drama at the restaurant and i scarf down the rest of my rice with the peanut sauce. mind you, i don’t blame the restaurant at all, cuz its kinda my fault for not checking for allergenics and stuff in the food. thankfully my peanut allergy isn’t dangerous, the worst thing that happens is breaking out into hives and a very itchy irritated mouth. so my mouth is on fire, but im tryna keep my composure like a true warrior. i tried calming the itch in my mouth by stuffing my face full of rice (the bowl that didnt get slathered in sauce) and sushi, and i look like alvin and the chipmunks but less cute. and my mom who has no idea that im trying to counteract the itch just looks at me and is like “boy stop eating like a pig”. thankfully after downing a couple cups of water, the itch died down, and i didn’t end up breaking into hives which woulda been a tell-tale sign that i was having an allergic reaction. 

soooooo yeah, basically my fat ass didn’t have enough patience to make sure there were no peanuts and paid the consequences for it. headass.

okay but i highly relate to the picky eater/easily triggered gag reflex thing, im pescatarian bc most meat makes me wanna vomit (honestly texture is just Russian roulette in my mouth im either fine or its time to upchuck) my therapist said its a part of my autism that makes me sensitive to food textures. squishy foods that have an unexpected crunch (like sushi if it has cucumber in it) automatically make me gag (which is why i pick the veggies out of my rice) so yeah picky eater solidarity!

solidarity man. louies trying to refine my garbage pallet bc i grew up on junk food and not rlly anything else so im like give me borger. i eat chip. and louies like here baby try this charcuterie board its got kdsjlfds meat and ksjkf cheese and this dip is ksdjfkds and it has such a classy taste, shall i pour us some wine with it? and im like. soda burp. love u babe. me want frenched frie.

1. Oso and kara could be watching a movie and point at the ugly characters like “haha thats you!” and then get kicked out of the movies bc they dont shut up they just “NO thats YOU!” All the way through. The others try to pretend not to know them but unfortunately they all have the same face so they gone too.

2. A lot of ppl say that kara doesnt call oso “nii san” bc he lacks respect for him but tbh i just think he doesnt think its “cool” to call him “nii san” (he does calls him aniki at times) or maybe he’s p comfortable w oso so he doesnt rlly find a need to use honorifics for him. Probably also knows oso likes being called nii san and just does it out of spite dggdgdhd

3. Karamatsu introduces himself as the oldest one when oso’s not around. Oso comes in like “i am the oldest?? Born by 2 minutes 45 seconds and 87 milliseconds? before u?? Fake binch?” Oso probably doesnt keep track of like how long the other bros took to be born but has to always remember kara’s to rub it on his face. Kara is probably the whole “uh we’re sextuplets does it matter?” Only when it comes to osomatsu bc he likes still being older than the other ones. Fake ass ho

4. I feel when kara dragged oso out in ep 24 there wasn’t much of a fight. Just karamatsu holding him down telling him he was acting like an idiot and he should apologize. Like just yelling at him. Osomatsu probably doesnt say much, gets out of kara’s grip, gives him an angry look and walks in but just goes to their room instead and kara walks in like 🤷🏻‍♂️ and goes to check on jyushi. a lot of ppl like to speculate theres always like a huge fist fight or a bunch of yelling or oso crying onto kara abt choro leaving. But this is the way i’ve always seen it lol

5. Oso loves to pick on his little bros, kara isnt left out of this and kara absolutely hates it sgdhdhd like sure he’s getting attention but he shouldve been the oldest!!! Why is the oldest such a shit!!! Oso probably loves picking on kara the most bc hes all big talk but hes still his baby bro and he must be reminded

6. I love the bit in episode 10. The one where kara brings up his insecurities to oso and oso gives him some kind of advice. I feel like even though kara knows oso can be a shit boi he’s still his older brother and can confide on him the most/lean on him when he absolutely desperately needs advice. Kara probably doesnt want to bug his baby brothers, he probably sees himself as someone who should be there for them rather than the other way around so oso is all he’s got unfortunately agsgdgdh

7. I wanted to add that kara has no patience for oso and will call him out on his shit/hit him if necessary but this is already canon dgdhdb

8. I like the hc that they both sleep next to totty bc they want to protect baby bro. Theyre both incredibly over protective of jyushi and totty because theyre the babies of the 6 of them. A lot of ppl like to hc that totty set it up that way but like i wanna say both oso and kara wanted totty to sleep next to them to watch him and were arguing over it and in the end totty was like “JEEZ FINE OK I’LL SLEEP BETWEEN YOU BOTH SO YOU BOTH CAN WATCH OVER ME CAN WE GO TO SLEEP ALREADY?”

9. Granted when they meet atsushi when tottys dating him, all the bros are probably like 👀 but probably oso and kara are like his top 2 bodyguards.
