seeing percy, annabeth, and grover in the show, finally getting our first, real looks at them, and i can't stop thinking about the bridge from "try", one of the cut songs from the lightning thief musical.

(not even touching on the atlas foreshadowing bc that gets me in a completely different way)

they're CHILDREN. this trio is a group of twelve-year-olds who have never faced this sort of danger before. not to mention what they've been through prior to this quest.

annabeth's run away from home because of her stepmother's hatred towards her. she's lost the person she sees as her older sister, and has pretty much no one who understands her.

percy has no one. from where he stands, his mother is dead, and his father doesn't care about him. he's been thrown into this world and all he knows is that everyone either thinks he should be dead or wants him dead.

grover's a failure. his father and uncle were killed, and his first time escorting half-bloods, he gets mixed around, and the daughter of zeus dies. this is his only chance to prove himself and find pan.

they're not soldiers. they're just trying to prove themselves and find somewhere they belong. they're not being brave, they're literally doing this because they have to. percy's the only one in the group with some kind of power, but even then, he hasn't been trained long, and doesn't know how to control it.

the tv series is going to absolutely wreck me because we know how traumatized and changed this trio becomes. we're going to see percy go from being bright-eyed and hopeful to weighed down and realistic. we're going to watch annabeth's heart break so many times, between thalia's death, luke's betrayal, and further down the road, thalia's departure with the hunt and luke's death. we're going to see grover's grief, his guilt, his desperation to be accepted and respected.

but we're also going to see them become a family, become an inseparable tangle of threads woven together by fate, and i cannot wait to see that.

And when they had finished the mission they would have been really disappointed because their first mission was just a diversion for isabel.. they tried to shake that feeling off but.....

Grace probably saw that and decided to include him in her will for the clue hunt she saw that the kabra kids may be the key to unite the lucian branch of the family with others they are still so young and not as ruthless as isabel or vikram

I headcanon that what the Toppins did on their first Halloween night as a group is Doing a challenge called the "Haunted Pizzeria Challenge" (A challenge where you go into a seemingly haunted pizzeria and collect and investigate it's pizza boxess while trying not to get caught) going into Peppino's Pizza 2 (or Bruno's Pizza, idk, you guys can decide if it is actually one of these), and then that action leads to them getting chased out of here by Fake Peppino as they continue looking for it's pizza boxes

I feel terrible for not writing during the week even though I had every opportunity to, and I wanted to. So uh, have this as an apology :)

The house is quiet, there is no fighting in the house. The cool wind of the night slips in through the open window, the open curtains allowing the moonlight to light the room. The adults are asleep, but the children are awake.

Juniper looks at the clock. "It's 11:47, we should go now." Sherylnn grabs a bag full of things needed for their temporary escape. The, Juniper grabs the edges of the windowsill and pushes himself out, landing on his feet. Sherylnn readies herself and holds the bag out. Juniper reaches out and grabs the bag, Sherylnn jumps out quickly after.

And with that, they both take off in the night, venturing to their little hideaway.

Far away from their secluded home lies a small mountain covered with trees, bushes, homes of the animals who have claimed their spot, and more. No person ever ventures out to that mountain, for there is a legend of a mystical beast who lives there. It's said to have razor sharp teeth and claws, a long body that could stretch to the ends of the Earth, a long shiny mane that glistens in the moonlight. It strives to care for that mountain and prevent any human coming to claim the land or the animals from fulfilling their twisted desires.

Anyone would be insane to think of venturing out to those mountains, no one dared to even look at it, always staying at least 10 miles away at all times.

All except Sherylnn and Juniper. Always coming to that mountain every night when their parents sleep. And tonight is no different.

Smt abou the Collector pulling at King when he's holding on to Luz really gets me cause if the Collector really wanted, I believe he could have just ripped King away. I think the Collector didn't though cause he didn't want to hurt his best friend. 🥺
