the trap is like. okay i have love for it bc i am in an abusive relationship with the cw show supernatural and it has rotted my brain to the point where i settle for scraps but BUT the way it could've been crazyinsanegood was if dean did a hamilton-esque apology instead of saying he forgives cas. like yes cas craves forgiveness in that moment but also. like. there is no reason for him to actually be. like. forgiven. everyone lost in moriah. and then AFTER that dean was just lashing out. which the og script fleshed out the apology soooo much better like getting to the root of their fight and dean admitting that he blamed cas because he just needed someone to blame and not because cas did anything wrong. but also. imagine "if i could save his life — if i could trade his life for mine, he'd be standing here right now, and you would smile, and that would be enough." like it would never happen BUT IF IT HAD. Read this post by @heretherebedork and was thinking about the symbolism of the colour red and it's use in The Eclipse. It's mostly Ayan's colour and the way they use it is so pretty! I think it represents the desire for change (and also just a little bit of a threat because Ayan is the threat of change).

We see that very explicitly here, where Ayan is both feeling some desire (he surely has to be, right? He's not interating with anyone else except Thua and he's certainly not flirting with Thua by any means) and is something that Akk wants but is fearful of the change necessary to get it.

This is my favourite shot (and honestly the reason for this post, I saw it and went "oooooh") It perfectly frames him during his conversation with Thua. He is inciting the change.

Speaking of Thua, Ayan's influence on Thua and his own desire for change are a wall that's coming between him and Kan. (It's right there in the subs 😐 Also them both reaching out their arms in this scene hhhhhhhh, I'll never recover. They both want to break through!!)

The symbolism just starts comin' and it don't stop comin'. He's like a prophet for change.

Also the blood, Ayan being the one to go touch it, and heavily influencing the riot boys.

Also his murder board supplies all being red, which really contrasts with the utter lack of red in Ayan's personal life. His bedroom is all blue and brown, and two of the tshirts he's worn have also been blue, brown, and white stripes.

Also to point out that when Wat is talking about his new camera and his desire for studying Communication Arts which he can't do because of his family, he's also wearing red.

I wonder what next week will bring..

that nintendo direct was so horrible.

it was literally like 80 percent remakes and remasters.

never in my life have i seen an announcement video exist just to say "every game you've ever known since the 90s is being remade/remastered, sorry, we ran out of originality".

literally like all the video game market is anymore is remakes and the movie industry is just as bad.

the nso releases are fine because they're not like, remakes taking up full game slots. they're old games that are being made accessible and that's great... but there's no need to remake this many games when they can do that. remakes used to be rare. remember stuff like the wii u shop and stuff? with all the games they had on those things? now it's a tiny selection and everything else is a remake :/

also I feel like a lot of new rpgs are just like... lowkey fe knockoffs now instead of original rpgs.

i'm happy for like... two existing remakes, but one of them is mario rpg which people wanted waaaaAAAAAYYYY before the remake and remaster era, and the other is baten kaitos which im not actually happy about remaster-wise (the updated ui is trash, they took out very specific charms of the original ui), just happy that it will get more recognition/notice from people since it was never popular.

they also completely removed the english voice acting which like okay yeah it wasn't always that great but the voices fit perfectly and it wasn't as bad as fans meme on it for! it just sounded like they were talking through a tube and that was actually the worst part of it lol.

someone suggested to me that they may have just lost the data for it, but idk. i wish they'd just admit that somehow if it was the case, because it bugs me that the english audio is just completely gone when ultimately i really liked it. i wanted the game to be accessible to newer players, sure, but i also wanted the english audio there. ig that's because i grew up with it and i liked it, but it's still such a bummer for me!

paper mario being put on the nso and tyd getting a whole remaster does make me sad tho bc it feels like they're leaving the original in the dust when it was so good. if you're gonna do tyd, at least do them both.

good for innersloth though, i'm sure they never imagined being on a nintendo direct. they're the real winners here.

You can't spend every waking moment as a group of three, right? So everything you do they're reporting to each other, whether it's just what you had for lunch, if you kissed both of them good morning before you left... and (most importantly) if + when you start bratting around with them.

It's not so much like, talking shit as it is just them... discussing what it all meant. I feel like poly!bkdk is veryyy much about communication and kindness, so when you're sassy, rude, needy, or ANYTHING really... they're gonna talk about it with each other like a two person football team in a huddle.

It's just:

You get home from a long and hard day and before you can even put down your bag, they're ON you like flies and you just know they had a lil gossip session about your attitude from earlier... but LOL pros and cons, you know?
